Scripture points are shared, today, on the importance and value of praying together as a community of believers.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers UK & Ireland” using the ID “superman” (Level 2 with 348 points, a member since March 18, 2007) posted the following:

Christians, why do you need to go church to pray. do you need too show to yours peers that u accepted jesus christ in public?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:  That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.  (2nd Thessalonians 1:  11-12, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Prayer Behavior? (04/07/2015); Relationship With Our Creator?  (03/15/2015); Prayer in Public? (02/24/2015); Saved by a Prayer? (10/31/2014); Is Prayer an Act of Faith? (11/01/2014); One Faith, One Lord? (09/26/2014); Healing is By Relationship? (09/27/2014)

“superman”, as the “body of Christ”, the church does not pursue the ambitions, desires and goals of its individual members; the church pursues the divine objectives and eternal purposes demonstrated by Jesus Christ.  The many sacred operations required for continuing a fruitful and productive relationship through and with divinity include rebirth, praise, prayer, fasting, prophesying, and worship.  Rightly understood, a congregation of believers consists of only those having an endowment of spirit substance from the makeup of Deity.  Through water baptism (the death of ones inborn spirit; and their rebirth from divine substance), a person becomes permanently changed within (we say, is born again); and must “grow up again” (mature, become perfected) while facing life challenges upon the earth.  The new believer should demonstrate and display inseparable aspects of divine life essence (we say, breath, spirit, word) such as faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, longsuffering, love, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Believers must come together regularly for exchange that disciplines (we say, trains) and nourishes their own spirit content, to receive correction, instruction, and proclamation as well as to provide ministry, outreach and support to those encouraged to become new members of their assembly.  Consider the following encouragements and warnings from the Scriptures:

(1.)   Ephesians 4:  4-7, King James Version (KJV):  4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;  5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,  6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.  7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

(2.)  Ephesians 4:  11-15, KJV:  11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  22 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:  13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:  14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;  15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

(3.)  Ephesians 4:  21-24, KJV:  21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:  22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;  23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;  24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

(4.)  Hebrews 10:  23-27, KJV:  23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)  24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:  25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another:  and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.  26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,  27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

(5.)  1st John 1:  7 KJV:  7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

There is far more that could be said, and that must be correctly understood and spiritually taken into account.  (For example (6.)  Romans 8:  26-30, KJV:  26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities:  for we know not what we should pray for as we ought:  but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.  27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.  28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.  29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.  30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called:  and whom he called, them he also justified:  and whom he justified, them he also glorified.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
