Today, thoughts are shared on death and righteousness within the ministry of salvation provided by Jesus Christ.  Divinity administers death through divine order, sacred law, and as the outworking of gradual processes that are cyclic, predictable, regular, and stable.  While there are many different immediate events (including terrorism) that can be associated with a person’s decease (we say, spoken of as the “cause of death”), death does not usually occur as a sacred event (miracle) expressing the authority and majesty of GOD.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information appears) posted the following:

Agree or Disagree? the reason God permitted the September 11, 2001 victims to die was because it was their time to die. If the terrorists?

didn’t use their free will to commit the 9/11 terrorist attack these 2,996 people would have died by other causes.

– God found ways to save those people who were meant to live.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;  Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit:  for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.  But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:  How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?  For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.  For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.  For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.  Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:  (2nd Corinthians 3:  5-12, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Corruption of Ones Spirit? (05/14/2017); The Nature of Death (04/25/2017); The Comfort Through Christ? (01/13/2017); Reflections on Existence (12/19/2016); GOD Knows Tomorrow? (04/12/2013); Why Blood? (04/13/2013); Time Before the Sun? (04/14/2013)

“Anonymous”, many speak of death as a one-time event for each created being or living creature that is administered and ruled by GOD through biological or mechanical law and process.  As a result, they also allow for “exceptions to the rule,” the occurrence of specific divine interventions as well as intrusions for divine “arbitrary causes” (e.g., accidents, “blessing (!)” chance, fate, luck, predetermination).  Some even mistakenly speak of death as a tool used with divine law only for punishment, and not also for admonition, correction, and release.  Here are some thoughts you might find useful:

1.  In the understanding of many mature Christian believers, the use of death by divinity pertains to the accomplishment of eternal purposes that appear and are manifest as (1) the Creation, (2) the putting forth of existence, (3) the continuing of life, and (4) the ceaseless motions that are edification and growth.  Death is first introduced in the holy writings as “sleep” that allows a rib to be taken from Adam and be fashioned into a female.

2.  Divine law and sacred process see the continued presence of death among created beings and living creatures as (1) an inseparable condition and requirement for their existence (we say, mortality); (2) an aspect of divine order that influences awareness and self-will within the living; and (3) a tool that breaks off otherwise permanent joining and relationships that oppose the will of GOD (e.g., adultery, bondage, fornication, witchcraft).  The second death (destruction in the Lake of Fire) will be used to eliminate every person and vessel of divine spirit that has been warped by the operations of sin so much that they no longer bear the divine image, and are no longer capable of responding to the sovereign will of GOD.

3.  To say that Christ died so that we may live is to proclaim that, using the seed from Adam, special (yet, lawful) operations have been carried out by divinity to produce an entirely new creation.  Upon the cross, Jesus Christ (an embodiment of both divinity and mankind) also became an embodiment of sin; sin then was destroyed through death; and all who believe in Christ became released from their sins through his death.  For Christian believers, death has become a temporary interruption of eternal life (we again say, sleep).  Spirit content and substance from the makeup of GOD are being imparted to indwell the living.  Included are faith, gratitude, holiness, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, meekness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Consider again the following:

(1.)  Genesis 9:  5-7, King James Version (KJV):  5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man.  6 Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed:  for in the image of God made he man.  7 And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.

(2.)  Ezekiel 18:  23-24, KJV:  23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GODand not that he should return from his ways, and live?  24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned:  in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  Luke 13:  1-5, KJV:  1 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.  2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?  3 I tell you, Nay:  but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.  4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?  5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

  1. M R Charles says:

Your thoughts on the people who died in 2001, are quite interesting .. 😊

Will love to ask to elaborate more on that …

  2. M R Charles says:

I do agree with you, but I want to hear more from you!

  3. Thanks for responding to this post, MR. Take another look at the post (06/05/2017) Salvation Can Follow Deliverance. Writing today’s post, I felt as if I were addressing again the 911 survivor there whose understandings of death and deliverance seemed in more line with beliefs in “chance” and “predestination” because what he endured led him to declare there is a GOD, however, he did not take the next step to say, this is the greater purpose that I was spared to fulfill, or that I am now part of. The post (09/26/2012) Life and Death also might be helpful with a Battle Axe presentation the following day. Be encouraged!
