Today, counsel on accepting baptism is shared with a teen whose parents are atheists.  Baptism does not make a child an adult.  Baptism is a beginning or “first step,” and is not the completion or finish of the full journey that is salvation.  Youth often are centered in self-discovery, personal growth and risk-taking that make them less effective as workers within a sacred body.  Because young people often are drawn to Christ having fervor, passion and zeal, they also are to be cautioned and exhorted to acknowledge their continuing need for spiritual growth.  In addition to practicing patience and longsuffering, developing believers must learn to prefer the tested and tried principles, actions, and decisions that have been effective for the survival of the church; and, as much as possible, youth are to prepare themselves and focus on the coming of Christ in place of popular culture, politics, or current world events.  Children are to behave humility and meekness in the family and shared home; they are to avoid presumption, and always value sharing with their parents.  A young writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information appears) posted the following:

How to tell my parents I want to be baptized?

Hello, I am 16 years old and I have been going to church on my own for awhile. I’ve accepted Christ many years ago, and I’ve gotten to where I feel the need to be baptized and show it. The thing is, my parents are atheists. They allow me to go to church, they’ve bought me a bible, and they know about when I got saved. Since this is public though, I don’t know there reactions and honestly, I don’t even want to tell them (I’m not ashamed of who I am and what I believe, it just feels very awkward and they’re always surprised I chose this) Honestly, this is probably something I should tell them though, so how would I go about it?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;  Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit:  for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.  (2nd Corinthians 3:  5-6, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Standing On The ABCs? (11/09/2017); Accepting Christ, Accepting Change (10/20/2017); Becoming Joined To GOD (10/13/2017); Caution! Work In Progress (10/19/2017); The Water, The Fire (10/10/2017); Christ Now or Later? (10/08/2017); Rebirth, Growth and Transformation (09/29/2017)

“Anonymous”, before making your decision, you first may want to consider what commitment you are asking your parents to make; what challenges or changes you should alert them to; and the demands for sacrifice that they will have to face.  Young people also are cautioned to keep in mind that genuine and mature love always entail accountability, commitment, putting aside ones own desire and will in obedience and sacrifice along with restraint.  Water baptism depicts the death and burial of ones inborn spirit, and their resurrection from the dead by receiving a fresh endowment of divine life essence (we say, breath, spirit, Word) from the makeup of GOD.  Those who are “born again” are to “grow up again” meeting life challenges and “growing pains,” displaying divine spirit content, acknowledging sacred law, serving unselfishly without complaint, and even enduring suffering, here, on the earth.

Believers are to become mature/ripe for harvest (we also say, his appearing, the Advent, the Rapture, the Second Coming).   Sinners who come to Christ begin their eternal life by undergoing permanent changes in their character and makeup through operations of the Holy Spirit, a transformation that will be completed (we say, they will be perfected) as they meet the Lord in the air at his return.  For developing believers, therefore, salvation unfolds through discovery, edification, gradual growth, praise, prayer, other  sacred practices, and worship.  Because salvation is part of a full revelation of GOD as well as a transformation for mankind to exist as life companions to immortal, incorruptible divinity, believers are encouraged to understand that they themselves are to be offspring of GOD and a new creation.  Believers are to maintain a consciousness that they are the members of the body of Christ (the church) and saints within the kingdom of GOD.  They are to continually display the inseparable aspects of imparted Spirit that include balance, completeness, gratitude, faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

While teens remain in the home of their parents as dependent children, it is more correct that they delay making life decisions that are divisive of the family as a unit.  Through their pleasant attitudes and conduct, the young may be vessels of ministry who “silently” bestow and demonstrate the benefits from Christ without also creating conflict, pressure, and hostility against others.  Consider again the example of the Lord, and the following counsel from the holy writings:

(1.)  Luke 2:  42-52, King James Version (KJV):  42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.  43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.  44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day’s journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.  45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.  46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.  47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.  48 And when they saw him, they were amazed:  and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.  49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?  50 And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.  51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them:  but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.  52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

(2.)  Romans 6:  3-6, KJV:  3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?  4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:  that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.  5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:  6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and made a part of our own spirit makeup.  (For example, (3.)  Acts 20:  32, KJV:  32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, an eternal revelation by immutable, unchanging divinity is considered that will present diverse manifestations of divine fullness, rather than display changes within the makeup of GOD.  When Christian believers are asked to share sacred knowledge regarding “the world to come,” their responses must go beyond “spiritual basics” and the Gospel.  Thus, we may provide declarations of faith, prophesy, personal testimonies, or even, reports of visions.  Without there being any changes among or within the persons of GODhead, in the world to come, created beings and living creatures should experience movement and shifts in orientation within their consciousness and sense of grasp as their natural response to many of the things that will be displayed and put forth by divinity (for example, the New Jerusalem descending from heaven, the Tree of Life, and that there no longer will be oceans).  It is written, John 3:  11-13, King James Version (KJV):  11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.  12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?  13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.  With these words from the Lord in view, it is not an error for developing believers to seek sacred knowledge regarding “the world to come.”  Even so, all are cautioned not to indulge conjecture, “vain imaginings” (i.e., fantasy; flights of imagination; make-believe; thoughts lacking spirit content from the makeup of GOD), and speculation.  Saints of the kingdom are to practice discernment and be edified continually through discovery, gradual growth, and apprehension by the Holy Spirit (we also say, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth).  A writer at “Yahoo! Is Jesus the same today as He will be tomorrow? why or why not?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:  And before him shall be gathered all nations:  and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:  And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.  Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:  (Matthew 25:  31-34, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Creator is Different (10/31/2017); GOD Is Imparting Truth (10/30/2017); The Device of Incarnation (10/18/2017); Making Sense of Preexistence? (10/06/2017); Our Glory From GOD (09/24/2017); Eternal Mysteries and Revelation (08/31/2016); Names For Sacred Persons? (08/01/2017); Atonement and The Cross? (02/29/2016); Ark of the Covenant? (03/17/2015); Jesus, King of Earth? (10/07/2012); Parental Duty? (10/08/2012)

“Donald”:

(1.)  Hebrews 6:  1-3, King James Version (KJV):  1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,  2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.  3 And this will we do, if God permit.

In the same way the glory displayed and revealed at his baptism was different from that seen in his transfiguration, when Jesus appears to reap the harvest of the earth (i.e., to remove those “born again” who have “grown up again” and are mature/ripe), he will display the three-fold glory (that of the Father, that of the holy angels, and his own unique glory).  Further, just as his crown(s) and throne(s) are many (e.g., glory, grace, judgment, life, mercy, rest), and there are differences in duties and sovereign authority that do not alter his divinity, covenant relationships, and participation within the GODhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), the joint-heirs with Christ should expect a continuing and eternal revelation of glory marked by diversity, rather than change in “the root” or aspects that are fundamental.

Eternal life will not be stagnant and static, for the watchwords of salvation through Jesus Christ include discovery, faith, gradual growth, “oneness without sameness,” trust and vigilance.  Christian believers may understand that, while Christ ascended before his witnesses displaying flesh and form, he is now making atonement in the heavens as our High Priest within the Sanctuary, the Holiest of Holies, and may manifest using both diffuse spirit as well as human form.  (That material things such as altars, horses, and a city, the New Jerusalem, may appear in heaven is not explained to us.)  Even so, mankind is to exist as a companion to immortal, incorruptible divinity upon the earth, and is now in an ongoing process of transformation that will be completed as the Savior’s believers meet him in the air at his return (we also say, the Advent, the Rapture, the Second Coming).  While few (?)  details regarding our becoming perfected, and the specifics of eternal life are recorded in the holy writings, many patterns and principles appear that permit clear understanding of various possibilities, of the things consistent with our present sacred knowledge, and of “what is likely” given the revealed eternal purposes.

Thus:

(2.)  Hebrews  13:  8, KJV:  8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

(3.)  2nd Corinthians 3:  17-18, KJV:  17 Now the Lord is that Spirit:  and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.  18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

(4.)  Luke 9:  23-26, KJV:  23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.  24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it:  but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.  25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?  26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.

(5.)  2nd Corinthians 4:  3-5, KJV:  3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:  4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.  5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (6.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, a special reply is shared on three divine tools GOD uses when endowing mankind to exist as the new creation.  As part of the inheritance for joint-heirs with Christ, developing believers are to be aware that there are strong prophecies and warnings that encourage maintaining readiness and vigilance in anticipation of an end to the world as we now know it.  For example:  Revelation 22:  8-13, King James Version (KJV):  8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.  9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not:  for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.  10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book:  for the time is at hand.  11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still:  and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still:  and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still:  and he that is holy, let him be holy still.  12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.  13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.  Probably because of their inconsiderateness and irreverence, two separate questions were removed from the Yahoo! Internet sites, and neither could be answered online.  I was challenged to minister by responding to “Anonymous” at “Yahoo! 7 Answers (Australia)” who asked, “Why didn’t God protect the people in the texas church before they were shot. Doesn’t God want to show he cares about thoses who pray?” when the system would not allow response to “ElmsofTaste” at “Yahoo! THE GOLDEN ARROW:  But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:  and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:  and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.  (1st Thessalonians 4:  13-18, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Having Consciousness of Death (11/03/2017); Undergoing A Sacred Transformation (10/24/2017); Accepting Christ, Accepting Change (10/20/2017); From Dust Thou Art (09/07/2017); The Nature of Death (04/25/2017); Life Is GOD’s Intent (11/15/2016); Comfort? (09/06/2014); We Become Comforters? (07/19/2014)

“ElmsofTaste”, among Christian believers, bereavement, death, and suffering are to be understood and accepted as divine operations that are managed and carried out by the Holy Spirit, for they are events having sacred consequences that pertain to more than carnal, material, secular, and social situations governed by natural law.  Inseparable aspects of the spirit fullness within the makeup of GOD must be imparted, engage, exchange, interact, and be permanently changed.  Included are faith, forgiveness, holiness, lovingkindness, mercy, mortality, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Through the divine device of death the living are led to manifest and impart otherwise hidden depths of love, respect, sacrifice, and unselfish service.

Developing believers often focus on death as the punishment for sin, and must be lifted through the Holy Spirit to attain higher levels of edification where they can correctly grasp that the provisions of their own salvation include appearing in judgment now as an ongoing aspect of our being alive on the earth before our decease; comfort and peace during testing and trials; and resurrection from the dead as well as escape and exemption from annihilation of the wicked (the second death).

In the same way, Adam was set apart, preserved and protected during the Creation of Eve using “sleep”, many members of the body of Christ (we say, the church) and those who are saints within the kingdom of GOD will complete their own mortality (die) before the Savior returns.  Their “falling asleep” before the harvest (we also say, Advent, his appearing, the Rapture, the Second Coming) will in no way alter or cancel their divine inheritance as joint-heirs with Christ.  As divine tools, death and sleep are applied to fulfill eternal purposes that include establishing and maintaining created beings and living creatures as companions to immortal, incorruptible divinity.  Thus, death may be discerned as preserving the church through times of crisis, persecution, and tribulation.  Consider the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Isaiah 57:  1-4, King James Version (KJV):  1 The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart:  and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.  2 He shall enter into peace:  they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.  3 But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore.  4 Against whom do ye sport yourselves? against whom make ye a wide mouth, and draw out the tongue? are ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood.

(2.)  2nd Peter 3:  8-14, KJV:  8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.  9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.  11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,  12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?  13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.  14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

(3.)  1st  Peter 4:  1-8, KJV:  1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind:  for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;  2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.  3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:  4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:  5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.  6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.  7 But the end of all things is at hand:  be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.  8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves:  for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and made a part of our own spirit makeup.  (For example, (4.)  1st Corinthians 15:  50-57, KJV:  50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.  51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,  52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:  for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.  54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.  55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?  56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.  57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

He That Believes

Today, topics include death, sacred promises, and the new life for developing Christians.  In the same way suffering provides a platform for hope, death provides a platform for faith.  Eternal life is GOD’s intent, yet, death is GOD’s tool.  Using death GOD adds multiple facets of meaning and substance to the awareness generated by divine law, and operates on the deeper levels of consciousness within created beings and living creatures.  Included are appetite (e.g., hunger, thirst, sexual cravings), sensation (e.g., hearing, seeing, tasting, touching), emotions (e.g., anger, fear, sorrow), the dynamics of fellowship (e.g., integrity, respect, trust), mental functions (e.g., dreams, expectations, imagination, logic, carnal reason, recall) as well as the oneness without sameness that make possible continuing relationships with divinity.  Through influence and imperative, death promotes commitment, repentance and urgency along with permanent changes that come by acquiring sacred knowledge, study of the holy writings, and unselfish service.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:

If we are all going to die one day than what is the ******* point of life?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.  But every man in his own order:  Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.  Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.  For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.  The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.  (1st Corinthians 15:  21-26, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Reasons for Our Existence? (11/01/2017); Undergoing A Sacred Transformation (10/24/2017); Caution! Work In Progress (10/19/2017); From Dust Thou Art (09/07/2017); Existence, Mortality and GOD? (08/31/2017); Waiting On The Lord? (06/16/2017); The Nature of Death (04/25/2017)

“Anonymous”, having to meet life challenges, endure growing pains, suffer, and complete mortality does not destroy all the beauty, discovery, and joy of living.  While they are still living on the earth, those who commit themselves to Jesus Christ for atonement and forgiveness of sin also are endowed with new meanings, practices, divine promises, and ways of understanding that help them to comprehend creation, existence, life, and death are all tools for divine self-expression.  The fullness of divinity (we say, “the GODhead;” “Father, Son, and Holy Spirit”) must become knowable, known, accessible and approachable to created beings and living creatures.  In addition to inseparable aspects of sacred makeup such as faith, holiness, longsuffering, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin, the active presence whom we call “GOD” also emanates glory, hope, love, perfection, person, eternal purpose and resurrection from the dead.

The Creator is a deity who also has appeared on the earth using covenant agreements, divine law, form (we say, flesh and blood; Incarnation), promises, and holy writings.  GOD continues communication, exchange, and interaction (we say, ongoing personal relationships), to provide added benefit and comfort to mankind, and so that, divinity can be realized as more than an abstraction, or academic concept.  For Christian believers, the “quality of life” on the earth is enhanced through clear statements from GOD that set believers apart for service (we say, command, instruct, sanctify) and further prepare them to exist as immortal, incorruptible companions of divinity.

Christians are not granted ability to read other people’s thoughts, or predict the future; instead, they are made certain and sure through divine promises and prophecy.  In water baptism the believer undergoes death, burial and rebirth having divine DNA, so to speak; and all who are “born again,” must “grow up again” as the sons and daughters of GOD, who display divine spirit content through their lifestyle and daily routines.  Developing believers are to become mature (we say, ripe for harvest) to be removed from the earth at the appearing of Jesus Christ (Advent, the Rapture, the Second Coming).  For us, then, there always is  great excitement, for the Scriptures declare we will not all be in our graves at his coming.  Neither men nor angels can say the day or hour when he shall return; and all are encouraged to stay ready, and remain vigilant.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.) 2nd Corinthians 1:  8-10, King James Version (KJV):  8 For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:  9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:  10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver:  in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

(2.)  Romans 6:  3-5, KJV:  3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?  4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:  that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.  5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

(3.)  Revelation 21:  6-8, KJV:  6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.  7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.  8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:  which is the second death.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and made a part of our own spirit makeup.  (For example, (4.)  1st Thessalonians 4:  13-18, KJV:  13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.  15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:  and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:  and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is made on discernment, and the benefits of both church attendance and ministry through activity on the Internet.  The liberty provided by the imparted Spirit of GOD allows sinners to acknowledge the atonement and propitiation for sin established by Jesus Christ through the cross, demonstrate repentance, and to pursue new life through ministry and service, not to answer the Father with fleshly lusts, do-as-you-please, pleasure-seeking, and self-promotion.  Freedom and liberty from GOD will never mean that sinners do not have to accept the consequences and results from their own actions and choices; and the alternatives granted as salvation are not to be taken lightly.  There is no provision from GOD that is a substitute for physically attending church.  Even so, believers may apprehend the inseparable aspects of fellowship, prophecy (i.e., comfort, edification, and exhortation), and ministry that are shared because they must be spiritually discerned and received.  Simply having a habit of church attendance accomplishes no more than ones private prayer life using unknown tongues for self-edification that does not also edify the church.  Mature believers all should put into practice the important declaration shared by Christ:  I came to minister, not to be ministered unto.  To be loved and ministered to by GOD is also to be loved and ministered to by his sons and daughters on the earth who are willing vessels of his Spirit.  The work of responding to others through the social media now available is no less important than the work once carried out by the first apostles who traveled by foot, and those of earlier times who served as missionaries to colonial peoples traveling, first, by great sailing ships and later by steamers.  Believers are correct to use the means provided by GOD through present day technology that allow personal contact, the making of brief, yet complete, presentations, and the ability to respond quickly to the direct questions and comments that arise when evangelizing.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:

If christians on here are true christians what are they doing on here from 10-12 o clock ?shouldnt they be paying attention to the service?

Most church services are from 10-12

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  I will bless the LORD at all times:  his praise shall continually be in my mouth.  My soul shall make her boast in the LORD:  the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.  O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.  (Psalms 34:  1-3, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, while the “name” of GOD is proclaimed throughout the holy writings, and divinity is made knowable, known, and present by describing the sacred deeds and works of GOD (his reputation, so to speak), Christian believers are to be identified and recognized primarily through “discernment” (the sacred practice of using ones own spirit content from the makeup of GOD as a standard to examine and respond to deposits of the same spirit within events, other persons, motives and purposes, promises and prophecies, doctrines and teachings, etc.).  Inseparable aspects of divinity will appear in those who are offspring of GOD and joint heirs with Christ that include faith, holiness, forbearance, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  The finite gifts of authority and office, intellect, carnal reason, and secular knowledge all have less value; and believers will be discovered by their displays of spirit content through words, deeds, outreach, and unselfish service more than by their formal spiritual practices and religious disciplines (such as observance of ceremonies, church attendance, and rituals intended for their own edification), their strict obedience to sacred law, and the peculiar good works they may perform (e.g., giving, healing, music ministry).  This being said, sinners who lack and do not practice divine discernment will fail to acknowledge and respond to believers as legitimate agents and spokespersons sent from GOD.  For the present time, many have found the unmistakable “mark of GOD” to be manifest as forgiveness, mercy in judgment, and faith that the return of Jesus Christ to harvest those belonging to him from the earth will be in our lifetime.  Consider again the following from the Bible:

(1.)  1st Corinthians 12:  3, King James Version (KJV):  3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed:  and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

(2.)  2nd Corinthians 3:  17, KJV:  17 Now the Lord is that Spirit:  and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

(3.)  Romans 8:  4-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

(4.)  John 13:  34-35, KJV:  34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.  35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

There is far more to be said, thoughtfully practices, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  1st John 5:  1-6, KJV:  1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God:  and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.  2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.  3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments:  and his commandments are not grievous.  4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world:  and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.  5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?  6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is made that racism and other operations of sin do not display an authentic image of GOD.  Only those belonging to Christ through his death on the cross and their receiving of the Holy Spirit will be admitted into heaven as the redeemed of Christ.  The imparted Spirit of GOD has never been the origin of arrogance, cruelty, injustice, exaggerated pride, and selfishness such as we see in expressions of racism.  Diversity and plurality appear throughout the history of those blessed by GOD as partners in covenant relationship.  Thus, we see a mixed multitude (Gentiles) also left Egypt with Moses and the twelve tribes of Jacob; and those who received the Holy Ghost at Pentecost were from various cultures, language groups, and nations.  Bigotry and prejudice come against balance, edification, godliness, and the healthy growth of church congregations in the same way as idolatry, inordinate affection and hate, false witness, presumption, counterfeit judgment, and fear.  The racism that may continue to exist indefinitely within developing Christians is usually suppressed and effectively eliminated by the believer carrying out the will of GOD, demonstrating obedience to divine law instead of self-will, and achieving their own highest possible level of spiritual maturity before being instantly transformed at the coming of Jesus.  A young fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Jonathan” (Level 1 with 98 points, a member since October 18, 2014) posted the following:

Would racists be accepted in heaven?

Here s the catch: My dad is a Christian. Even Christians make mistakes and are imperfect, like all of us because we are human. I acknowledge that fact, but I don t tolerate the fact that my dad is a Christian who s racist. I know that God wouldn t accept any hatred or superiority of people in heaven. But would God accept racists?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;  Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;  And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;  That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:  For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.  Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.  And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:  Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.  (Acts 17:  24-31, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Accepting Christ, Accepting Change (10/20/2017); Joy, Survival and Worship (06/21/2017); Fulfillment of His Dream? (04/05/2017); No Less GOD’s Creation (12/01/2016); Diversity and Divine Purpose (08/28/2016); Can Christians Be Racists? (07/25/2016); Not Yet Delivered From Racism? (12/21/2014); Racism Is Not From GOD (12/22/2014)

“Jonathan”, our lessons from Creation include the incredible variety of the rose and the tulip.  The requirements and standards for entrance into heaven do not center on attitudes, behavior, and issues that are carnal, material, secular, and social.  Foremost is containing and actively displaying the image of GOD that appears through a full endowment of divine life essence (breath, spirit, word).  The process of salvation is to establish mankind with the oneness without sameness that exists among the persons of the GODhead (the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit).  The conflicts, disputes and divisions that arise through ethnic arrogance, bigotry, hate crimes, and racism have the same effect as iniquity and transgressions of sacred law.  Like the operations of sin, evil surmising (i.e., distrust, intolerance, slander, suspicion), gossip, and prejudice oppose the fulfillment of eternal purposes; corrupt the necessary continuity of communication, exchange and interaction that are established through praise and prayer; and disrupt the transforming relationships with divinity (e.g., adoption, fellowship, priesthood, rebirth, stewardship).

The work of the final judgment is to identify those who will be eternal companions to an immortal, incorruptible GOD as well as those that must be totally destroyed because they can no longer be separated from sin.  Inseparable aspects of the divine makeup will appear within those who are ripe (mature) for the harvest and return of Jesus Christ (we say, the Rapture, the Second Coming).  Included are faith, forbearance, longsuffering, lovingkindness, respect, reverence, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Many of the operations of GOD to accomplish the recovery of Creation from sin are fixed, immutable and unchanging.  There must be divine order, predetermined conditions, and well-tested structure.  Even so, there also is diversity that provides flexibility, fluidity, and freshness.

Accepting and acknowledging differences are a nonnegotiable duty within the body of Christ (the church).  The work of the Gospel goes beyond celebrating, rejoicing, and sharing good things.  The new life as a believer also includes enduring hardship, unselfish giving to others, passing through periods of darkness, overcoming persecution, resisting sin, continuing to show resilience in  spite of temptations and trial, and suffering.  Those “born again” must “grow up again” to assist and serve one another as the divine offspring containing the active presence who is GOD.  Thereby sinners become believers, and believers are never alone or separated from the fullness of GOD.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Galatians 3:  27-29, King James Version (KJV):  27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.  28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female:  for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.  29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

(2.)  Colossians 3:  9-15, KJV:  9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;  10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:  11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free:  but Christ is all, and in all.  12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;  13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any:  even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.  14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.  15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

(3.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

There is far more to be said, correctly practiced by those who believe, properly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Malachi 3:  16-18, KJV:  16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another:  and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.  17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.  18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Christ reaping_the_harvest

Christ Depicted As Reaping the Harvest

Today, topics include maturing, spiritual growth, and becoming perfected as followers of Jesus Christ.  Developing Christians all may be called those who have acknowledged an unquenchable need for divine forgiveness, grace, and renewal, and who willingly have volunteered to work for the Lord when recruited from among sinners.  They have not been accepted and approved on the basis of their decency, their innocence, their finite human skills, or their being without sin.  They have been granted place as his “beloved” and his “little ones”—not because they are perfect—because they are willing to be perfected by the Lord.  These are those who need the most, love the most, display contrition, are burdened with a broken heart, who approach the Savior showing humility and meekness (a readiness to learn and grow), and who openly express their willingness to serve unselfishly with boldness and with zeal.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile is shared) posted the following:

Will God change me if I accept him?

I have a lot of worries about my future and I feel like I’m becoming a bad person will God make me into a better person if I accept him?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.  He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;  The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;  The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.  As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.  The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;  And shall cast them into a furnace of fire:  there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.  Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.  (Matthew 13:  36-43, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Meekness, Mortality and Salvation? (07/13/2017); Caution! Work In Progress (10/19/2017); Becoming Joined To GOD (10/13/2017); Transformation Not Obedience Alone (07/02/2017); Events During Final Judgment? (11/28/2016); About Judgment By GOD (08/29/2016); Simple and Mature Faith (09/05/2016)

“Anonymous”, for Christian believers, accepting Jesus Christ as the Redeemer and Savior provided by GOD means willingly accepting permanent changes in your character, makeup, and divine substance that will result in a having new standards, a new lifestyle, and new relationships.  The ideas and images related to reaping a harvest are used in the holy writings to help the living understand the operations of GOD for the salvation of mankind.  Sinners must become “born again” through water baptism (death and burial of their inborn spirit, resurrection from the dead having divine DNA, so to speak).  By receiving fresh deposits of spirit content imparted from the makeup of our Creator, created beings on the earth become a new creation.  Believers are to live as vessels of divine spirit, the offspring (sons and daughters) of GOD, and joint heirs with Jesus Christ.

Being saved (salvation) is not a “one-time” sacred event (we say, miracle) so much as a new birth wherein those who are “born again” also must “grow up again” and gradually become mature by meeting life challenges on the earth, gaining sacred knowledge along with secular knowledge, overcoming “growing pains,” enduring suffering, and even completing their own mortality (death).

Believers are not granted authority and self-will (we say, willpower) to ignore or interfere with the natural laws governing the earth, deny the frameworks of time and space, or violate the many fixed processes for the earth and human life (e.g., aging, decay, sickness, weather events).  Even so, all are to display inseparable aspects of divinity that include faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Genuine salvation occurs through accepting accountability, commitment, obedience (mature expressions of love), and clear understanding, never through coercion, threats, and violence.

Because the operations of sin can only be eliminated using divine tools described as “final judgment,” those rejecting Christ do become subject to total destruction.  Freedom from fear results by performing the righteousness required by divine law; by trusting GOD to carry out and fulfill his own recorded proclamations, promises, and prophecies; and by confessing and sharing truth with GOD through prayer.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  John 3:  1-7, King James Version (KJV):  1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:  2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God:  for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.  3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?  5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

(2.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

(3.)  Galatians 6:  7-9, KJV:  7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked:  for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.  8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.  9 And let us not be weary in well doing:  for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

(4.)  Luke 9:  56-62, KJV:  56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.  57 And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.  58 And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.  59 And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.  60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead:  but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.  61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.  62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  Revelation 14:  14-16, KJV:  14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.  15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap:  for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.  16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
