Today, reply is made that highlights connections among meekness, mortality, and salvation.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “carmen” (Level 1 with points, a member since March 02, 2015) posted the following:

If God intended for us to die why does Psalms 37:11,29 say the meek and righteous will live forever on earth?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:  and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:  and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.  (1st Thessalonians 4:  16-18, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Discernment, Focus and Meekness? (07/07/2017); The Gift of Humility (02/19/2017); The Gift of Meekness (11/25/2014); Concerning Meekness (11/26/2014); Face to Face Like Moses? (01/28/2014); Covenants and Relationships (01/29/2014); The Meek Will Inherit (10/16/2012)

“carmen”, what mature Christian believers speak of as the “plan of salvation” goes far beyond merely teaching mankind to believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of GOD.  Correctly understood, created beings and living creatures are being entered into a process of transformation to become immortal, incorruptible companions of divinity.  The elect are those drawn to GOD; receptive to the Holy Spirit (meek); and who meet pre-set divine standards that address such elements as willingness to maintain covenant promises, acceptance of gradual growth and permanent changes introduced by GOD, acknowledgment of accountability within relationships as well as readiness to endure hardship and suffering to fulfill eternal purposes.

As the elect hear and respond to the gospel, to prophecy, and to the preaching of the cross, they are built up and nourished with spirit content from the makeup of GOD.  (We could say, a sinner’s inborn spirit dies, is buried, and is replaced with divine DNA.)  A believer undergoes an adoption of the Spirit, becomes anointed as a son or daughter of GOD, serves as a vessel that should be filled with divine substance, and is a joint-heir of GOD with Jesus Christ.  Inseparable aspects of divinity are imparted to indwell the developing believer such as gratitude, faith, forbearance, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, meekness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.   The “born again” believer is not yet “perfect”, and must both “grow up again,” and be made ripe (i.e., mature) for the appointed time when the Lord removes all those who are his from the earth (we say, Advent, harvest, the Rapture, the Second Coming).

Believers continue to be subject to aging, death, and other life conditions while on the earth; and also may complete their condition of mortality (die).  All who have lived on the earth (the righteous and the wicked) will be raised from the dead to continue their eternal life begun while alive on the earth, or to answer final judgment and what is called the second death (total destruction within the Lake of Fire).  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Numbers 12:  1-9, King James Version (KJV):  1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married:  for he had married an Ethiopian woman.  2 And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.  3 (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)  4 And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.  5 And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam:  and they both came forth.  6 And he said, Hear now my words:  If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.  7 My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.  8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold:  wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?  9 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.

(2.)  1st Corinthians 15:  21-26, KJV:  21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.  22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.  23 But every man in his own order:  Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.  24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.  25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.  26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  1st Corinthians 15:  50-55, KJV:  50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.  51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,  52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.  54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.  55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, focus is on teens, and whether or not there are sacred events occurring in a secular world.  A sinner becoming a Christian is a developmental process (i.e., an extended series of events that yield gradual growth and learning), and occurs as a transformation completed by GOD.  Baptism, confirmation, and other events to acknowledge increased accountability, independence, and legitimacy for ones full membership within the church should not be taken as authority and license to pass judgment on and separate from the congregation.  Because of their impatience, presumption, and relying upon academic knowledge, secular reports and modern technology, many children and young adults in the church will become blinded, and robbed of their inheritance won through Jesus Christ.  Deceived, these will “drop out” and quit the church before they have been anointed and supplied with the tools for adult faith, and godly service.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile data provided) posted the following:

Why is it that nothing spiritual or religious happens these days?

I mean there are no religious people doing miracles or anything. We don’t hear stories of spirits or anything really. It almost seems like religion is becoming obsolete. This is probably why teens like me are moving away from religion more and more. The advancements in science and technology are very appealing and probably boosting this situation.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them:  but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.  (Hebrews 4:  2, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  What Young People Need? (06/26/2017); Growth Is Through Edification (06/20/2017); On Expecting Quick Results (11/07/2016); Discipline and The Cross (06/16/2016); Waiting For His Appearing (02/09/2016); Growing Up Again? (12/09/2015); Wanting To Know When? (10/18/2015)

“Anonymous”, it is not that “nothing is going on,” or that what’s going on is “top secret” so much as that it’s classified as “for___eyes only.”  GOD is a spirit who regularly uses materials and processes that are invisible and unseen to flesh.  Christian believers are given several gifts and tools to “keep up with” the ongoing spiritual changes, sacred events (we say, miracles), and proclamations of divine fulfillment for recorded promises and prophecies.  Every sinner who turns to GOD through Jesus Christ is to become endowed with spirit content from the makeup of divinity through baptism and rebirth.  Included are faith, forbearance, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Selected believers will serve having a “double portion” (so to speak) of such spiritual gifts as discernment, faith, insight, and meekness that are crucial to edifying the full church.

In the same way, one must turn their head to direct their eyes when using the gift of sight, one must concentrate their focus on the things from GOD when using spiritual gifts, rather than focus on things from the world, the flesh, or the occult.  The active presence and revelation of GOD can not be apprehended without using the primary tools for acquiring sacred knowledge and performing sacred practices (we say, observing sacraments):  there must be focus, discernment and meekness.  Discernment is the ability to use ones own spirit content from the makeup of GOD as a standard to recognize and respond to the spirit substance residing within events, other persons, the holy writings, etc.  Meekness (often called, humility) is the willingness to be led by and express divine guidance and instruction as well as to undergo multiple permanent changes carried out by the Holy Spirit.

Many of the divine works necessary for sacred operations (such as atonement, resurrection, salvation and sanctification) have already been completed.  There is still “unfinished business” such as the conclusion of judgment using the second death, and the allotment of homes upon the new earth as well as within the New Jerusalem.  Even so, the divine processes for believers now center in displaying and maintaining revealed truth.  Foremost in Christian lives  should be elements indicating maturity and sobriety (e.g., balance, consistency, faith, respect, reverence, stability, trust).  Believers have been told “what to expect next” (we say, hope for) by a sovereign whose nature, will and word are immutable, incorruptible, and unchanging.  There are not likely to be any “surprises”.  Consider again the following:

(1.)  Psalms 25:  8-10, King James Version (KJV):  8 Good and upright is the LORD:  therefore will he teach sinners in the way.  9 The meek will he guide in judgment:  and the meek will he teach his way.  10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

(2.)  Psalms 25:  12-14, KJV:  12 What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.  13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.  14 The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

(3.)  1st Corinthians 2:  12-14, KJV:  12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.  13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:  for they are foolishness unto him:  neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  1st Thessalonians 4:  15-18, KJV:  15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:  and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, a response is made to clarify the expression “wait on the Lord.”  The living must await the completion of multiple sacred events.  Included are deliverance, perfection, judgment of the just and of the wicked, the first and second resurrection, salvation, sanctification, and the first and the second death.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers who uses the ID “Trilobiteme” (Level 4 with 3,171 points, a member since September 29, 2011) posted the following:

What does it mean to wait on the Lord?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;  Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.  And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.  (1st Peter 5:  2-4, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Divine Delay and Prayer? (03/22/2017); On Expecting Quick Results (11/07/2016); Waiting For His Appearing (02/09/2016); Christ Coming Soon? (10/16/2015); A Promise of Return (01/15/2016); A Promise of Return (01/15/2016); What To Do At His Coming (07/20/2014)

“Trilobiteme”, many of the differences seen among Christian believers appear on the basis of what it is they are waiting for (e.g., comfort in bereavement, healing, instruction, judgment, the coming of the Lord, the descent of New Jerusalem).  The Christian believer must rely upon GOD for the provision of spiritual blessings and gifts; and there are multiple divine operations that require created beings and living creatures respond to words of proclamation, promise or prophecy as though the frameworks of time and space do not exist.  “Waiting on the Lord” can mean taking action to please divinity, carry out or perform divine purposes, demonstrate obedience to divine law, and respond to divinity through self-sacrifice and unselfishness.  “Waiting on the Lord” also may mean enduring delays and interruptions, exercising patience and longsuffering until the completion of a sacred process, and preparing for the conclusion of ongoing though invisible operations.  Through baptism and rebirth, sinners are to experience the death, burial, and resurrection of the inborn spirit received from Adam, and become a new creation through the spirit that resides in Jesus Christ.  Inseparable spirit content from the makeup of GOD will be imparted.  Included are faith, forbearance, holiness, joy, lovingkindness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  While living on the earth, those “born again” must “grow up again,” live in expectation (we say, hope), display the divine nature manifest the will of the Father, and become mature and ripe for harvest (i.e., ready to meet Christ in the air when he comes to remove all those who belong to him).  Until the Advent (we also say, Rapture, Second Coming) believers must face “growing pains” and other life challenges.  What was begun before the foundation of the earth, their perfection and transformation to exist as immortal, incorruptible companions of divinity will be completed in an instant at the appearing.  Consider again the following:

(1.)  Habakkuk 2:  2-4, King James Version (KJV):  2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.  3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie:  though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.  4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him:  but the just shall live by his faith.

(2.)  Job 14:  13-15, KJV:  13 O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me!  14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.  15 Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee:  thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands.

(3.)  Job 19:  25-27, KJV:  25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:  26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:  27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Revelation 2:  9-11, KJV:  9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.  10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer:  behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days:  be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.  11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, focus is on differences in the character, purpose, and substance of sacred gatherings of believers as distinct from contacts that occur by chance.  While enthusiasm, joy, and zeal are to be seen in the life of a believer on a continuing basis there also should be accountability, balance, circumspection, and restraint.  Attitudes, behavior and speech appropriate in the place of worship is often disruptive and divisive in the classroom, the public forum, the workplace, or the home.  Believers are commanded to love, avoid meddling, and to “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”  Even long-time members within the congregations may lose sight of their own place regarding the core issues and divine operations of the church such as revelation, completing judgment, serving as joint-heirs, unselfish ministry to others, and preparing for the coming of Jesus Christ to harvest the earth of those who belong to him and who are ripe (mature).  With this in view, the church may only be made up of those who willingly submit themselves to the Lord, and freely give just as they have been given to.  There can be no communion through coercion, deceit and indifference, or lies, slander, threats, and violence.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers (India)” using the ID “BRIAN” (Level 6 with 20,686 points, a member since August 02, 2015) posted the following:

Why are Christians so different outside church?

I’ve been exploring church for a few months and on Sunday my Christian “friends” are so nice to me.
They explain about the service and after it ends, they make sure I get some coffee and biscuits. Then they hug me tightly and say “God bless”
However, when I see the same people through the week, they ignore me, even though I know they see me.
One guy nearly broke his leg, as he jumped over paint tins in a hardware shop!! Yet 2 days later he gave me a hearty handshake and said “good to see you in church today”
Why?
WHY???
Is this a Belfast Metropolitan church thing only???

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.  For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.  (Matthew 18:  19-20, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Answer From GOD (05/19/2017); The Quality of Life? (03/29/2017); …Because GOD Loves You (03/05/2017); Become Like Jesus Christ? (10/27/2016); Good Christians and Church? “BRIAN”, Christian believers will encounter one another  regularly as a community of faith within a sanctuary cleansed and set apart by their prayers, reverence, sacrifices (we also say, giving), and sacred truth.  Called “the body of Christ” the church seeks and creates a setting very different from that offered by the world.  The active presence who is GOD is invoked and welcomed.  There are shared purposes for spirit growth, service to others, and acceptable worship.  The shared life of the church is not one of rejoicing only; there also are times of fear, humiliation, isolation, persecution, and uncertainty.  Becoming emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually mature as a Christian believer is a lifetime work accomplished by completing such tasks as acquiring sacred knowledge; maintaining specific shared practices (we say, sacraments) meanings, and values; enduring bereavement, loss, and strained relationships along with pursuing readiness to receive Jesus Christ at his coming in spite of opposition, sin and suffering.  All within the body of believers must undergo operations of the Holy Spirit whereby they become “born again.”  More than this, all must “grow up again” and become mature as living vessels of spirit substance from the makeup of GOD.  By receiving deposits of holy seed (we also say, divine DNA), sinners become the offspring of GOD through Jesus Christ.  Included are faith, forbearance, forgiveness, gratitude, holiness, hope, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, meekness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Just as the fullness of divinity (we say, the GODhead) appears presenting oneness without sameness among three divine persons (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), the members of the church are diverse, and will display different levels of commitment, discernment, maturity and understanding as well as different spiritual abilities and gifts.  Where believers encounter one another on the street and “in the world” they often must operate with a different sense of alertness, focus, spiritual freedom, and clarity of process.  Consider again the following from the Bible:

(1.)  Romans 8:  5-9, King James Version (KJV):  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

(2.)  1st  John 2:  15-17, KJV:  15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.  17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof:  but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

(3.)  John 17:  14-19, KJV:  14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.  15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.  16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.  17 Sanctify them through thy truth:  thy word is truth.  18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.  19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Malachi 3:  16-18, KJV:  16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another:  and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.  17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.  18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, points are shared on the apostolic nature and process of the church founded by Jesus Christ.  For many, the Scriptures describe “the apostolic church” most clearly through 1st Corinthians 12:  27-28, King James Version (KJV):  27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.  28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.  Also, Ephesians 4:  10-15, KJV:  10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)  11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:  13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:  14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;  15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:  The themes of reconciliation, revival, outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and resurrection are vital to most communities that display Christian faith working to spread the Gospel for it remains that eternal life within mortals on the earth, begun through acceptance of Jesus as Redeemer and Savior, continues to be interrupted and opposed by death, error, and sin.  More than church building by adding believers through water baptism, establishing new congregations, and preaching to new assemblies, the work of apostles has been to embody and share the presence and person of Jesus.  A fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Bruce” (Level 7 with 107,295 points, a member since August 12, 2007) posted the following:

Would an “apostolic” church be led by the successors of the apostles, or by people who read about the apostles in the Bible?

From the Nicene Creed: “I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.” Which church is that?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.  And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.  Then they that gladly received his word were baptized:  and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.  And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.  And fear came upon every soul:  and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.  And all that believed were together, and had all things common;  And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.  And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,  Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.  (Acts 2:  38-47, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Receiving The Holy Spirit (12/08/2016); Hierarchy Among Christians (01/22/2016); Hierarchy For Mankind(01/24/2016); A True Apostle? (09/20/2015); Many Forms of Christianity? “Bruce”, here are some points that many mature Christian believers have found useful when shaping their commitment to the incarnate, institutional expression of Jesus Christ as “the church”:

1)  In the early church, the apostles were not all trained as disciples by Jesus during his ministry years on the earth.  Even so, all were endowed by the Holy Spirit to authenticate his doctrine and teaching; to provide reliable “eye-witness” testimony of the Savior’s resurrection; to show the agreement and conformity of Christian belief to prophecy, sacred promise, and the holy writings; to indicate false teaching, counterfeit spiritual gifts, and error as well as to certify every true falling of the Holy Spirit.  The appearance and manifesting of the Comforter (also called the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth) who was sent in power at Pentecost has not been a “one-time” event.

2)  In the same way the ministry of Jesus himself displays development and growth from the time of his baptism at the Jordan, the ministry by apostles also may be seen displaying correction, enhancement, and refinement through Christ and the Holy Spirit.  An example of this is seen where Peter and a team of Jewish supporters violate standing tradition by entering the home of a Gentile in order to minister the Gospel.  This was something Jesus was ready to do, however,  did not do when asked to “only speak the word,” and command that a beloved servant be healed.  In the same way Jacob had to be encouraged and granted certainty through a sacred dream (angels on a ladder) that the GOD of his father could be his own divine protector also, Peter had to receive a dream that the outreach of divinity through Christ is to all the world, not merely to a single ethnic group and the existing covenant partners of GOD.

3)  Some denominations claim an historical and secular lineage to the authority, form, practice, and governmental structure that existed within the early church.  Particularly, several trace their origin to bishops, deacons, elders and evangelists who were scattered from Jerusalem during periods of persecution.  Others claim a doctrinal lineage based on principles and accounts written in Scripture.  Included are the falling of the Spirit at Pentecost on the 120 disciples from the Upper Room (that included the mother and brothers of Jesus), the anointing of believers through laying on of hands by Peter and John in what was once accounted as the heathen city of Samaria as well as in the private home of a Gentile who was a retired Roman soldier.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, 4) Conflicts, differences and diversity have always been embraced by the true body of believers in Jesus Christ acknowledging that the communion of flesh and spirit may only be established and become visible through the operations of divinity.  Within the body there are multiple levels of accountability, conviction, growth, maturity, readiness, and understanding.  Therefore, without also saying miracles, prayer, and proselytizing, many insist that the emblems to identify the true church of Jesus Christ must include acceptance of oneness without sameness among the persons of Deity, discernment (correct recognition and response to) spirit content from the makeup of GOD, faith, humility, receiving the blood and body of Jesus, sacred knowledge (e.g., awareness of divine law, prophecy, sacred promises), ministry that includes the poor, and the continuous preparation of believers to acknowledge Jesus Christ as their own Savior at his coming.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Sanctify-Yourselves.jpg

Today, focus is on Christian believers becoming consecrated, sanctified, and set apart from the world.  In the same way Moses prepared those who left Egypt for the appearing of GOD at Sinai by saying, Sanctify yourselves, the followers of Jesus are commanded to sanctify themselves for his coming to harvest from the earth those who belong to his kingdom that are mature and “ripe” (we say, his appearing, the Advent, the Rapture, the Second Coming).  More than a physical separation, distinction by wealth, or political advantage, believers are to continuously display awareness and self-will influenced by the imparted, indwelling Spirit from GOD.  The writer at “Yahoo! Why do people become Monks and Nuns if Matthew 5:16 tells Christians to be a light in the world?

How can you be a light in the world if you’re secluded from society in a monastery?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  If ye were of the world, the world would love his own:  but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.  (John 15:  19, King James Version, KJV)

“Colonel Williams,” GOD created heaven and earth, however, created beings and living creatures created the World as a system of beliefs, meanings and values to ensure their own survival.  Because mankind responded to divine love and sacred law with disobedience, distance, and distrust through Adam and Eve, multiple ongoing operations of divinity now are required wherein the active presence who is GOD is made knowable, known, and “visible”.  The revelation of divinity to the living is intended for those on the earth, yet, is apprehended primarily through sacred knowledge and practice, rather than carnal reason, material objects, secular knowledge, and social transactions.  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, and promotes chaos, nonexistence, and self-destruction.  Sinners are to turn away from the beliefs and process of the world (we say, repent, return to GOD), and maintain lifestyles and daily routines that display spirit content from the makeup of GOD.  Included are faith, holiness, hope, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, meekness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Christian believers are “called out” from the world system, and become separate as those who are “born again” who must “grow up again,” and are part of the new creation through Jesus Christ.  Being vessels having fresh endowments of divine substance, believers are offspring, the children of GOD, and joint-heirs with Christ.  Such communities and corporate expressions as monks, nuns, and clergy are useful for continuing and nurturing sacred consciousness, selfless service, and spiritual growth as focused and uninterrupted.  Consider the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Deuteronomy 14:  2, King James Version (KJV):  2 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

(3.)  Philippians 2:  14-15, KJV:  14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:  15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

(4.)  John 17:  8-11, KJV:  8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.  9 I pray for them:  I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.  10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.  11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

(5.)  John 17:  14-19, KJV:  14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

(6.)  James 1:  27, KJV:  27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (7.)  Revelation 18:  3-5, KJV:  3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.  4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.  5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is made on why Mary and others went out to the tomb of Jesus early on “Resurrection Sunday.”  The process of GOD through Jesus Christ has been one of continuous and permanent change, gradual growth, and preparing for full transformation that will be completed at the Second Coming of Jesus (we also say, the Advent, the harvest, the Rapture).  At first, belief and conviction would depend upon completing practical tasks, recall and reflection, where later operations of the Holy Spirit would edify and carry believers forward through prophecy and gifts of the Spirit.  Many who obeyed during the crisis of Jesus being arrested and tried still did not understand how these things were fulfilling eternal purposes.  Others even reacted with unbelief because they simply continued in long-standing habits, and their usual routines.  Just as the women had not completed all the work for cleansing and preserving a body before entombment, the sacred event and operations by the Spirit of GOD were not yet all completed.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Phil” (Level 4 with 4,343 points, a member since September 18, 2010) posted the following:

What was Mary Magdalene doing sniffing round Jesus’ tomb after three days? Necrophilia or did he owe her some money?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?  Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.  Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?  But he spake of the temple of his body.  When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.  (John 2:  18-22, King James Version, KJV)

“Phil,” the work was not finished, and there was still much that had to be accomplished.  Jesus had been placed in the tomb shortly before sundown and the beginning of the Sabbath.  The task of removing his body from the cross had to be done.  As the highest Roman official having authority regarding the execution of the Lord, Pontius Pilate had to be petitioned for permission to bury the Savior in a private sepulcher that was owned by a wealthy member of the Sanhedrin.  In addition to carefully removing the crown of thorns so as not to tear away the flesh, there was the work of stopping the open wounds of his body, washing away the still drying blood, sealing his wounds, applying ointments and spices that would slow the decay and keep the body from stinking, as well as gathering to express bereavement through prayers and ritual mourning.

In the same way, those in flesh had not completed all their necessary tasks, there remained much to be done by the Spirit of the Lord.  For the people of GOD in Christ, loss of, and separation from loved ones by death are to be understood as reversible by GOD, and temporary.  Rather than emotion, thoughts, and memories, commitment, discernment and eternal purpose should be in charge.  Even so, Mary Magdalene, Joseph of Arimathaea, his own Mother, and John who had witnessed his crucifixion had not yet received the imparted, indwelling Spirit (we say, the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth) that would be sent to abide among them on the day of Pentecost.  Until then, mankind could only be prompted and stirred to take action guided by the Spirit, and this occurred as mere episodes that did not seem to be connected.

The process of GOD during our bereavement is to affirm and continue life, therefore, when the Comforter arrives he commands that we go to work among the living:  We are to minister and meet the needs of others by showing hospitality, encouraging joy, and proclaiming the promises of GOD.  The faith of the apostles and disciples first would have to be amplified and built up for them to realize the many things Jesus spoke as explanation and instruction that they had taken as only casual remarks.  Consider again the following from the Bible:

(1.)  Mark 15:  42-44, King James Version (KJV):  42 And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,  43 Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.  44 And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead:  and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.

(2.)  Mark 16:  1-4, KJV:  1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.  2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.  3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?  4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away:  for it was very great.

(3.)  John 14:  25-27, KJV:  25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.  26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.  27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:  not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  1st Thessalonians 4:  13-18, KJV:  13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.  15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
