That was in Christ

Today, reply is on Christian believers having the divine perspective (i.e., being able to see the same sacred changes and divine process within themselves that divinity will see through the operations of judgment and Spirit). Every Christian believer comes to discern and recognize where they themselves are located within the sacred point of view and divine perspective. A confession that the divine nature is present within ones own life is not the result of brooding, introspection, self-examination, and efforts for self-improvement. Despite affliction, hardship, sickness and suffering, many Christians will affirm that the truth is certain and indisputable: divinity nonetheless is operating within their lives today. Proclaiming the authority and authenticity of the Scriptures, they declare: God said it; I believe it; that settles it. Awareness of invisible, unseen divinity being active and present within ones life requires a fresh endowment of imparted spirit substance from the makeup of GOD along with the development and maturity of ones spiritual consciousness: “You must be born again;” and those “born again” must “grow up again.” Balance, consistency, impartiality, and stability increasingly must operate within the many aspects of a believer such as their expectations, their lifestyle, purposes, and daily routines. It is written: Romans 8: 15-17, King James Version (KJV): 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. How does one know that they are growing spiritually?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3: 7-14, King James Version, KJV:

“✞ 2 …hunter”, because Christian believers are in an ongoing divine process of transformation where their consciousness and self-will are being permanently changed so they will eternally exist as companions to divinity, their present “knowing” and “self-awareness” also undergoes shifts and transitions. Rather than rely on behavioral, carnal, material and social “evidence”, developing believers eventually depend on such elements as certainty of divine righteousness; conformity to divine word appearing in such forms as holy writings, divine law, proclamation, promise, prophecy and revelation; and conviction that immutable, unchanging principles are continuing as standards that describe the life condition of those following Christ through operations of divinity that can not be influenced or interrupted by finite actors and human events. Consider again the following that uses familiar language from the Bible:

1. Philippians 2: 5-11, King James Version (KJV): 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

2. Romans 8: 5-9, KJV: 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 3. Romans 8: 28-30, KJV: 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Christ and Nicodemus

Christ and Nicodemus

Today, reply is that the full presentation of Jesus Christ in the Scriptures to proclaim his work as the architect of salvation, chief shepherd, redeemer, and savior also must proclaim his work as divine avenger, high priest, sacred judge, and executioner in final judgment. Christ will speak with lawful authority, sacred knowledge, inarguable wisdom, and vision that reveals the content of eternity. The full transformation of mankind to exist as an immortal, incorruptible companion to the divine fullness (i.e., the Godhead; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) requires that the living receive a fresh endowment of life essence (breath; spirit; word) imparted from Deity. Through the ministries of Christ on earth and from heaven, those who are “born again” are granted opportunities to “grow up again” and become mature/ripe for harvest as the offspring of GOD, joint heirs with Christ, and the new creation. It is written: John 3: 11-13, King James Version (KJV): 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. Did Jesus of Nazareth talk arrogantly?

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. (John 15:5-6 NIV)

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. 10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. 11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. (Isaiah 13: 9-13, King James Version, KJV)

Anonymous”, Christ is most to be recognized among men through his acknowledgment of the Father along with his obedience, respect, and reverence. Redemption and salvation from sin are secured by mankind having an eternal and unbreakable relationship with divinity, who has appeared on the earth as Jesus Christ using the forms and process of human flesh (we say, the Incarnation). The character, makeup imparted from GOD, and divine fullness of Christ must be discerned and recognized through such elements as the operations of divine law, sacred promise, prophecy, unselfish service, and suffering. Inseparable aspects of divinity must appear within Christ as both the Son of Man and Son of GOD that include balance, the distance and impartiality that establish authority as authentic, faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, wisdom, and wrath against sin. Christ is also to be recognized in the absence of brawling, cheap talk, covetousness, deceit, envy, politics, self-promotion, slander, and violence. Consider again the following from the Bible:

1. Psalms 40: 4-8, King James Version (KJV): 4 Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. 5 Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. 6 Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. 7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, 8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

2. Isaiah 28: 14-19, KJV: 14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem. 15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: 16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. 17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place. 18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. 19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.

3. John 7: 16-18, KJV: 16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. 17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. 18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

4. 2nd John 1: 7-10, KJV: 7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. 9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 5. John 7: 37-46, KJV: 37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) 40 Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet. 41 Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee? 42 Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was? 43 So there was a division among the people because of him. 44 And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him. 45 Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought him? 46 The officers answered, Never man spake like this man.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, the reply acknowledges that the embodiment within mankind of inseparable spirit substance from the makeup of GOD is greater evidence for the existence of GOD than the displays of authority and wealth, of natural wonders (e.g., lakes, mountains, rivers), of weather events (e.g., blizzards, hurricanes, tornadoes), or of phenomena in the physical world (e.g., lightning, thunder, wildfire). It is written: 1st Corinthians 2: 7-11, King James Version (KJV): 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. omar”, what many regard as the excellence of Christianity as a belief system describing the origins of existence and life is its focus upon spirit process and substance that includes divine prerogative, eternal purpose, sacred law, and the sovereign will of divinity. Human efforts to avoid mysticism, superstition, and the occult have resulted in the use of various finite tools to address the character and nature of life such as intellect, logic, philosophy, politics, and science. With those tools, focus is primarily on things carnal, material, measurable, mechanical, natural, and social.

Men may serve as living vessels of divine substance. Christians identify the Creator as the first source of life essence (we also say, breath; spirit; word) and personhood. The divine endowment is different from the conditions, inheritance, and traits provided through sexual reproduction by the first male and female (Adam). Awareness and self-will (willpower) within created beings and living creatures may be dominated by the operations of sin. Mortality, spiritual confusion, and continuing as susceptible to the operations of sin became a life challenge, and condition for all the children of man. Through the appearance of divine fullness using human flesh as Jesus Christ, mankind now may receive a fresh deposit of inseparable spirit matter from the makeup of GOD. Included are balance, faith, forbearance, gratitude, holiness, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

During the time of famine, the Egyptian people became the private property of the Pharaohs, for they sold their own land, their livestock, and themselves to their ruler in order to survive. Idolatry, secular knowledge in place of sacred knowledge, and abuses of authority and dominion from GOD (i.e., government) within the one-world empire became widespread. The people became blind to the self-destruction and complete ruin of mankind that then overshadowed them. For Christians, commitment and faith that operate as the condemnation of sin, impartial judgment, salvation, and rebirth have become the evidence of the true and living GOD continuing to be active within his Creation. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

1. Romans 1: 16-23, King James Version (KJV): 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

2. 2nd Peter 1: 2-11, KJV: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 3. Romans 8: 4-9, KJV: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is on the biblical origin of accounts describing Satan the ruler over “hell” as the place where divine torment is administered following final judgment. Not having the fresh endowment of spirit content that comes from the makeup of GOD, many outside of the church become entangled by error because, to them, their own inescapable emotions, feelings, imagination, and private thoughts are more authentic, real, and indisputable than anything that might come from another person. For Christians, the goal of the soul is to become Christ-like; and developing believers must become set apart and sanctified through their lifestyle and living routines in order to avoid the defilement and spiritual confusion that are widespread through fascination by such attractions as philosophy and skepticism; politics; science and secular knowledge; social activism; superstition; and the occult. Thus, even those among the body can be unaware that, written in the Book of Revelation, Satan will undergo what is called the second death (i.e., he is cast into the Lake of Fire) before the second resurrection, when the wicked will be privileged to appear before Jesus Christ in the White Throne judgment. Communism Kills”, mature Christian faith continues to affirm the truth that the life essence (we also say, breath; spirit; word) from the makeup of GOD, and the holy writings that speak to the Creation, Judgment, Redemption, and Salvation of mankind are not a source for the many errors describing divinity that are shared among created beings and living creatures. Sinners who choose to become developing Christian believers, and those who seek to mix and match sacred knowledge with earthly customs, folklore, and traditions along with worldly and secular knowledge are often influenced by images and reports from epic literature (e.g., Dante’ Inferno, the poem Paradise Lost by Milton, the performance opera and theater play, Faust), and visual arts (e.g., paintings; motion pictures such as The Omen; television productions such as Supernatural). The creative arts apply principles of fantasy and imagination in order to amuse and entertain that include a “willing suspension of disbelief” that supports altering the Scriptures, contradiction of “common sense,” discrete/out of context episodes, fictions, outright lies, and the temporary acceptance of otherwise false and incredible (unbelievable) claims. By contrast, Christian belief is a sophisticated system of interrelated accounts from human experiences of divinity appearing within the awareness and self-will of the living recorded as thousands of events, over the course of thousands of years. Believers apprehend genuine biblical truth through such features as the practice of discernment (using ones own spirit content from the makeup of GOD to recognize and respond to the godly Spirit substance within events, other persons, etc.), discovery, gradual growth, unselfish service, and suffering. The elements that men point to when they seek to dismiss their accountability to GOD, and justify error (I’m right when I am wrong, because…) often includes the following that uses language from the Bible:

1. Matthew 4: 1-10, King James Version (KJV): 1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

2. Revelation 12: 7-10, KJV: 7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 3. John 8: 42-45, KJV: 42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

two edged sword

Today, reply is on divine government, peace, and warfare. Careful study of the holy writings shows that Jesus Christ comes to abide on the earth among mankind to establish holy law, rather than holy war. Just as the authority, privilege and rights for governments, nations, and sovereign states always exceed those of every individual or affiliation within its domain, divinity is at liberty to administer existence and life on the earth and throughout the universe. Even so, Jesus must fulfill a judgment of mankind that appears in prophecy through the symbols of burning and holy fire. It is written: Isaiah 9: 5-7, King James Version (KJV): 5 For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire. 6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! According to the Bible is Jesus coming back to bring peace or a sword?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: So these things shall be for a statute of judgment unto you throughout your generations in all your dwellings. Whoso killeth any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: but one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die. Moreover ye shall take no satisfaction for the life of a murderer, which is guilty of death: but he shall be surely put to death. (Numbers 35: 29-31, King James Version, KJV)

Anonymous”, here are some points that include verses from the Bible that are to be prayerfully considered among Christian believers:

1. Both the laurel leaf, a symbol of peace and victory, and the sword are symbols of government authority, might, power and rule. The rod of iron that may appear is divine law that does not bend nor break.

2. Lasting peace is the fruit and outcome of judgment, rather than warfare. In divine judgment, the otherwise hidden and unseen eternal purpose, spirit substance and consecrated value are acknowledged and determined for created beings and living creatures, events, expressions of self-will, life experiences, possibilities, etc. Also, sacred law and sovereign will are used as the primary standards to resolve conflict and settle disputes.

3. Righteous warfare is a tool used by government(s) to accomplish goals that include law enforcement and civil order; fulfillment of contracts, covenants and pledges that may include inheritance, marriage, and trade agreements; prosperity (i.e., comfort; commonwealth; security); the maintenance of boundaries that define the precise dimensions of their territory for exercise of control and ownership (i.e., domain and jurisdiction); and the disposition of resources that include mineral deposits, woodlands, and open space.

4. Isaiah 11: 1-5, King James Version (KJV): 1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; 3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: 4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. 5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

5. Romans 13: 1-4, KJV: 1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

6. Revelation 19: 11-16, KJV: 11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 7. Revelation 21: 3-7, KJV:  3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

All Authority

Today, Scriptures are shared that provide counsels from divinity for leaders and rulers among the covenant people of GOD. While followers, citizens, and those under leadership often are most influenced and swayed by the character, charisma, and passion of those in authority, the correct administration and supervision of those in covenant relationship with GOD is to go forward through the indwelling Spirit from divinity endowed through baptism and rebirth (we say, the Comforter; the Holy Ghost; the Holy Spirit; the Spirit of Prophecy; the Spirit of Truth). Sinners must be built up and edified in becoming Christ-like to display the image of GOD. Along with commitment and discernment, inseparable aspects of spirit substance from the makeup of GOD should appear at every level of organized activity and shared living. Included are faith, holiness, humility, longsuffering, lovingkindness, personhood, righteousness, and wrath against sin. Thus, the holy writings record divine law and sacred wisdom commanded for those charged to serve over families, households, schools, law enforcement, health care, and other institutions as well as for cities, empires, kingdoms, and nations. Anonymous”, those who are called to lead and rule are to be anointed with spirit substance from the makeup of GOD that supplies them with necessary features and tools that include balance, completeness, gravity, impartiality, perspective, restraint, sobriety, wisdom, vision, and zeal. In addition to being held accountable for the completion of specific duties and tasks, leaders and rulers will direct and manage multiple projects and programs, and must serve as judges who resolve conflicts and settle disputes in accordance with policy, standard practices, and law. Consider again the following counsels using language from the Bible provided to guide leaders among the people of GOD:

1. Ecclesiastes 5: 2, King James Version (KJV): 2 Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.

2. Ecclesiastes 5: 8, KJV: 8 If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.

3. Proverbs 10: 19, KJV: 19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

4. Proverbs 16: 32, KJV: 32 He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.

5. Ecclesiastes 8: 11, KJV: 11 Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

6. Proverbs 25: 28, KJV: 25 He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

7. 1st Timothy 3: 2-7, KJV: 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; 4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; 5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) 6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. 7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 8. Hosea 6: 6, KJV: 6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is on blasphemy, discipline for speech and thought, and casually using the phrase “in God’s name.” Using mild expletives (e.g., dang!; darn!; shucks!) are thought to make one colorful and memorable, yet, undermine control and self-discipline. Cursing, swearing, and threatening are not the only forms of speech that introduce division, nourish immaturity, and trigger violence within the family circle and in the home. Thoughtful Christians also will stay on guard against blasphemy, exaggeration, irreverence, and lying. Properly understood, ones speech and thoughts are to continually display Christlikeness, and minister to others such elements as admonition, blessing, comfort, correction, praise, prayer, prophecy, teaching, and thanksgiving. The fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” Religion and Spirituality public forum who uses the ID “Katie J.” (Level 1 with 3 points, a member since April 22, 2010) posted the following:

When is it appropriate to ask questions in God’s name?

My nine year old son just learned about asking questions in God’s name and has been having an absolute field day with it. He asks everything from “where in God’s name should we order pizza from?” to “where in God’s name is the salt shaker?” and “when in God’s name was the last time the dog went out to pee?”. I asked him to chill with it and he just asked me “why in God’s name should I stop?” and I didn’t have a real answer for him. Is there certain criteria to ask things in God’s name? I need to make sure I have the rule right before I go tell him and he asks “where in God’s name did I learn that?” It’s getting out of hand.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death; But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses, And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days. And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death. Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands, Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee? (Matthew 26: 59-68, King James Version, KJV)

Katie J.”, sinners who choose to become “developing Christians” are encouraged to change their patterns of speech and thought so that their consciousness can become filled by, and continually give expression to the Spirit of GOD. Because believers are to avoid casual use of language that may be regarded as “cheap talk” and hurtful (e.g., pronouncing curses, exaggeration, gossip, lies, obscenity, profanity, rumors, slander, vulgarity), many also avoid insults, “ranking”, slang, and the use of expletives (i.e., expressions of surprise) that may include OMY Gosh/O my God/OMG.

Within the household of faith the goal of achieving spiritual maturity and becoming ripe for harvest by the Lord at his coming (i.e., the Advent; the Rapture; the Second Coming) is met through emphasis upon accountability, consistency, duty, respect, sacred practice, and unselfishness. This purpose also will be seen in the careful use of words to acknowledge the awesomeness of divinity, maintain godliness, and continually convey reverence (we say awe; fear of the Lord). Where believers use the phrase “in the name of the Lord” there are multiple meanings. Included are, I ask/command/require/speak as (1) an anointed agent, representative, or spokesperson from the Lord; (2) in obedience to the Lord; (3) having authority from the Lord; and (4) on pain of divine judgment against you. Consider again the following that uses language from the holy writings:

(1.) Proverbs 10: 18-20, King James Version (KJV): 18 He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool. 19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise. 20 The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.

(2.) James 3: 6-14, KJV: 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. 7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: 8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. 11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? 12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. 13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

(3.) Hebrews 13: 15, KJV: 15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) Matthew 12: 30-37, KJV: 30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. 31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. 33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. 34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
