thanksgiving harvest

Today, thoughts are shared on divine abundance and plenty as well as America’s annual harvest celebration, Thanksgiving Day.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information appears) posted the following:

What are you doing to be thankful for Jesus Christ and all the wonderful things he has done on this great day of thankfulness?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.  And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.  Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared:  for this day is holy unto our Lord:  neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.  So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved.  And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.  (Nehemiah 8:  8-12, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  One Root, One Harvest (11/12/2017); Gratitude Appears By Grace (09/11/2017); …Gathered In My Name (05/29/2017); About the Second Coming? (01/18/2014); Unprofitable Servants? (01/19/2014); Are Holidays Bad? (11/16/2013); Denying GOD by Eating Shrimp? (11/17/2013)

“Anonymous”, here are some thoughts I would like to share:  For many mature Christian believers abundance, plenty, and outpourings to express gratitude are manifestations that make us aware of the unseen active presence who is GOD.  The imparted Spirit from GOD that appears to reveal the fullness of divinity (we say, the Godhead) and establish rebirth in water baptism also generates consciousness of healing, hope, joy, a lawful reward for ones labor, and the return of Jesus Christ (we say, Advent, the harvest, the Rapture, the Second Coming).  In Bible days, the times of anointing to sanctify and consecrate kings and priests, in-gathering and sheep-shearing were experienced as days of harvest celebration and thanksgiving.  Even so, because harvest is a season, not merely a one-day event, those who labor receive accord, cooperation and harmony (we say, fellowship, teamwork), resources for the cancellation of debts, the dispelling of fear and uncertainty, times of rest after reaping as well as refreshing, resolution of conflict and reuniting within the family.  Thanksgiving, therefore, is anticipated, occurs, and is acknowledged throughout most of the entire world at the same (and overlapping) time, and so is understood to be a season of Peace.  Surely, as encouragement to those who labor in the Lord, the following prophecies to comfort, edify, and exhort are written:

(1.)  Psalms 100:  4-5, King James Version (KJV):  4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise:  be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

(2.)  1st Chronicles 22:  14-16, KJV:  14 Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of the L
ORD an hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance:  timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add thereto.  15 Moreover there are workmen with thee in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of cunning men for every manner of work.  16 Of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise therefore, and be doing, and the LORD be with thee.

(3.)  1st Chronicles 29:  20-22, KJV:  20 And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the congregation blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the LORD, and the king.  21 And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings unto the LORD, on the morrow after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel:  22 And did eat and drink before the LORD on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto the LORD to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest.

There is far more from our Creator and Savior that could be shared and shown acknowledging this day (for example, (4.)  2nd Corinthians 4:  13-18, KJV:  13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;  14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.  15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.  16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.  17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;  18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen:  for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, counsel on accepting baptism is shared with a teen whose parents are atheists.  Baptism does not make a child an adult.  Baptism is a beginning or “first step,” and is not the completion or finish of the full journey that is salvation.  Youth often are centered in self-discovery, personal growth and risk-taking that make them less effective as workers within a sacred body.  Because young people often are drawn to Christ having fervor, passion and zeal, they also are to be cautioned and exhorted to acknowledge their continuing need for spiritual growth.  In addition to practicing patience and longsuffering, developing believers must learn to prefer the tested and tried principles, actions, and decisions that have been effective for the survival of the church; and, as much as possible, youth are to prepare themselves and focus on the coming of Christ in place of popular culture, politics, or current world events.  Children are to behave humility and meekness in the family and shared home; they are to avoid presumption, and always value sharing with their parents.  A young writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information appears) posted the following:

How to tell my parents I want to be baptized?

Hello, I am 16 years old and I have been going to church on my own for awhile. I’ve accepted Christ many years ago, and I’ve gotten to where I feel the need to be baptized and show it. The thing is, my parents are atheists. They allow me to go to church, they’ve bought me a bible, and they know about when I got saved. Since this is public though, I don’t know there reactions and honestly, I don’t even want to tell them (I’m not ashamed of who I am and what I believe, it just feels very awkward and they’re always surprised I chose this) Honestly, this is probably something I should tell them though, so how would I go about it?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;  Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit:  for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.  (2nd Corinthians 3:  5-6, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Standing On The ABCs? (11/09/2017); Accepting Christ, Accepting Change (10/20/2017); Becoming Joined To GOD (10/13/2017); Caution! Work In Progress (10/19/2017); The Water, The Fire (10/10/2017); Christ Now or Later? (10/08/2017); Rebirth, Growth and Transformation (09/29/2017)

“Anonymous”, before making your decision, you first may want to consider what commitment you are asking your parents to make; what challenges or changes you should alert them to; and the demands for sacrifice that they will have to face.  Young people also are cautioned to keep in mind that genuine and mature love always entail accountability, commitment, putting aside ones own desire and will in obedience and sacrifice along with restraint.  Water baptism depicts the death and burial of ones inborn spirit, and their resurrection from the dead by receiving a fresh endowment of divine life essence (we say, breath, spirit, Word) from the makeup of GOD.  Those who are “born again” are to “grow up again” meeting life challenges and “growing pains,” displaying divine spirit content, acknowledging sacred law, serving unselfishly without complaint, and even enduring suffering, here, on the earth.

Believers are to become mature/ripe for harvest (we also say, his appearing, the Advent, the Rapture, the Second Coming).   Sinners who come to Christ begin their eternal life by undergoing permanent changes in their character and makeup through operations of the Holy Spirit, a transformation that will be completed (we say, they will be perfected) as they meet the Lord in the air at his return.  For developing believers, therefore, salvation unfolds through discovery, edification, gradual growth, praise, prayer, other  sacred practices, and worship.  Because salvation is part of a full revelation of GOD as well as a transformation for mankind to exist as life companions to immortal, incorruptible divinity, believers are encouraged to understand that they themselves are to be offspring of GOD and a new creation.  Believers are to maintain a consciousness that they are the members of the body of Christ (the church) and saints within the kingdom of GOD.  They are to continually display the inseparable aspects of imparted Spirit that include balance, completeness, gratitude, faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

While teens remain in the home of their parents as dependent children, it is more correct that they delay making life decisions that are divisive of the family as a unit.  Through their pleasant attitudes and conduct, the young may be vessels of ministry who “silently” bestow and demonstrate the benefits from Christ without also creating conflict, pressure, and hostility against others.  Consider again the example of the Lord, and the following counsel from the holy writings:

(1.)  Luke 2:  42-52, King James Version (KJV):  42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.  43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.  44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day’s journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.  45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.  46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.  47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.  48 And when they saw him, they were amazed:  and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.  49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?  50 And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.  51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them:  but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.  52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

(2.)  Romans 6:  3-6, KJV:  3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?  4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:  that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.  5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:  6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and made a part of our own spirit makeup.  (For example, (3.)  Acts 20:  32, KJV:  32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is on the importance of sacred “evidence” instead of “instinct” when seeking sacred truth.  A fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Nerdy Keith” (Level 7 with 37,633 points, a member since April 21, 2012) posted the following:

Is relying on evidence rather than instinct the better choice?

This was asked previously and a few of you felt I was not clear enough on the purpose of the question so I will explain.

I have heard a few persons of faith claim that atheists lack instinct due to relying too much of skepticism and logic. But too little on instincts. I have a suspicion that the word “instincts” in this case is an alternative word for “gut feeling”.

I simply responded with evidence is important. What are your views on this issue?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  For by it the elders obtained a good report.  Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.  (Hebrews 11:  1-3, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  About Using “Sacred Logic” (11/19/2017); Without the Divine Image? (10/15/2017); The Cross and Arbitrary Differences (06/17/2016); Bible and Spirit (04/26/2014); Personality? (04/27/2014); Salvation for Atheists? (06/14/2013); Church is Good? (06/15/2013)

“Nerdy Keith”, in the same way basketball is not the evidence for baseball, football and hockey simply because they all exist as organized athletic competition, animal instinct, imagination, logic and recall are not evidence of divinity simply because they exist as conceptual, intangible, invisible, aspects of mind.  Correctly understood, objects and operations that pertain to Christian godliness and spiritual beliefs may only be properly recognized and responded to when compared to and contrasted against other elements and features that also contain and convey the same spirit substance imparted to mankind from the makeup of divinity.  (e.g., events, divine law, oneself, other persons, and the holy writings).  Saying this another way, spiritual things must be spiritually discerned.  Christian belief is a full and closed system; therefore, the evidence for sacred truth is itself sacred truth:  the evidence for faith is faith, the evidence for righteousness is righteousness, and the evidence for the Spirit of GOD is the Spirit of GOD.

Acknowledging GOD as the origin for all that exist and have life, we speak of a Creator as the source of our life essence (we say, breath, spirit, Word).  Mankind is to continually display the “image of GOD,” that is, the character, makeup, and spirit content that describe divinity.  Even so, as a created being and living creature, mankind is capable of displaying an animal, human, or divine nature; may present elements from all three at the same time; and is vulnerable to the operations of sin that dominate awareness and self-will in opposition to divine existence.  Instinct is a feature of animal intelligence generated through operations of the flesh such as appetite (hunger, thirst, sexual cravings), sensation (hearing, seeing, tasting, touching) and emotion/mental functions (anger, fear, sorrow).  Divine intelligence is ascribed as sacred knowledge, revelation, and imparted spirit content from GOD (e.g., faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, wrath against sin.)

Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible provided from testimony and witness under oath declared during sacred judgment:

(1.)  1st Corinthians 12:  3, King James Version (KJV):  3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed:  and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

(2.)  1st Corinthians 2:  12-14, KJV:  12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.  13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:  for they are foolishness unto him:  neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is on the full GODhead appearing through the person of the Son/the Word, Jesus Christ.  The unstated purpose of the GODhead is to continue as active presence who exists, emanates, lives, and puts forth throughout uninterrupted duration.  As Lord, Savior, and Servant, the Creator engages mankind using relationships that are intimate, organic and personal.  When Jesus demonstrated mankind living, dying, and being raised from the dead, all Deity participated with him in applying divine law to allow the imparting of Eternal Life.  A single appearance and Incarnation of the multiple, inseparable aspects of divine fullness was enough to make present and visible the eternal purposes and peculiar sacred works required to reestablish and preserve the benefits and possibilities for Creation as forever being under the authority and sovereign will of GOD.  Included were atonement and propitiation for sin, forgiveness, reconciliation, the completion of tasks to allow mankind existence as immortal and incorruptible, resurrection from death, and the establishment of a higher sanctification.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:

Why were the Holy Ghost and God the Father too cowardly to turn themselves into 2 men & then come to Earth to die for our sins on 2 crosses?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:  which is the second death.  (Revelation 21:  6-8, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Christ Our High Priest (10/25/2017); Undergoing A Sacred Transformation (10/24/2017); The Device of Incarnation (10/18/2017); The Makeup of GOD (09/25/2017); Knowing the Invisible GOD (09/17/2017); The Complete Divine Revelation? (03/10/2017); Incarnate, GOD May Die (05/11/2017)

“Anonymous”, here, a person has to think like a Christian believer, who has received spirit content from the makeup of GOD:  I may not take a handful of understanding, put it in my pocket, or hold it in my hand; even so, I may share understanding, and transmit it to others.  Not all, yet, many of the most important aspects of divine existence are invisible to the eyes of created beings and living creatures, who now also live as carnal, material, secular, and social.  The spirit substance that is divinity (for example, faith, holiness, “oneness without sameness,” wrath against sin) may be present and active while also being diffuse and dispersed (i.e., not limited by barriers within others that block discernment and recognition, or to bias, ignorance, time, and space).

In the same way full agreement among the persons of the GODhead (Father, Son (who also is called the Word) and the Holy Spirit) was expressed when the Creation was put forth, the three persons of the GODhead are in full accord for what Christians call “the plan of salvation.”  Using the device of Incarnation (i.e., temporarily appearing in human form), the Word came forth from a woman as an infant through a miraculous birth.  The indisputable authority, power, and eternal purposes of the full GODhead (e.g., that mortality should be eliminated, and mankind is to exist as an immortal, incorruptible companion to GOD) are clearly to be seen working in and through the life of Jesus Christ along with sacred events (we say, miracles), necessary suspensions of natural law, the operations of spiritual laws upon consciousness and self-will, and the provision to a newborn of person and traits of expression vital to both divine and human makeup.

Do not be confused by what appears as the independence and separation of Christ on the earth from GOD the Father and the Holy Spirit.  Prophetic demonstrations by the Son as another individual on earth are to be seen by angels, mankind, and other life forms that include commitment, contrition, dutifulness, forbearance, forgiveness, holy boldness, love, obedience, perseverance, respect, and unselfishness. Sinners are to understand that GOD may also indwell and reside within the created.  Those who are “born again” will contain divine seed/DNA, so to speak; are to “grow up again;” and are to become mature/ripe displaying endowments of spirit content from the makeup of GOD.  Developing believers will display deposits from the sovereign will of GOD that operate as willpower to reject and resist sin.

Consider again the following that uses language from the holy writings:

(1.)  Psalms 19:  1-3, King James Version (KJV):  19 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.  2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.  3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

(2.)  Colossians 2:  8-11, KJV:  8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.  9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.  10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:  11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

(3.)  Colossians 1:  12-20, KJV:  12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:  13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:  14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:  15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:  16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:  all things were created by him, and for him:  17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.  18 And he is the head of the body, the church:  who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.  19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;  20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 1:  18-23, KJV:  18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;  19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.  20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,  23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is on discernment and recognizing chance occurrences as different from divine responses and answered prayer.  The frameworks of time and space promote the concepts of goals, random order, and the independent existence of operations that use numbers to describe secular reality (e.g., amount, dimension, sequence, statistical predictability).  However, these are often useless where sacred knowledge and spirit truth are to be shared.  Similarly, as tools to establish belief and conviction, conjuring and magic fail when used to establish the actuality of GOD (thus, the prophetic demonstration performed by Moses before Pharaoh, casting down his staff that became a snake, is followed by calamity and plague, divine displays of judgment and wrath against sin).  The immutable and unchanging aspects of divinity serve as fixed points of reference for created beings and living creatures that can not be altered or manipulated, and are “anchors” during times of confusion, tribulation, and turbulence that include sudden occurrences and unpleasant surprises.  Redemption and salvation through Jesus Christ are not a matter of “luck”, or being chosen out of a hat at random like a raffle ticket.  Multiple acts of self-will are required from sinners such as acknowledging divine judgment, making deliberate choices, heartfelt commitment, continuous communication and exchange in prayer, discovery, painstaking effort, focus, forbearance, forgiveness, rebirth, repentance, unselfish service, sacred studies as well as suffering, waiting and careful work.  The writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Jay” (Level 1 with 95 points, a member since November 14, 2017) posted the following:

God s work or just a coincidence?

My family and I were at a Premium outlet yesterday. We arranged a time to regroup back then departed out ways in the mall. When it was time to regroup back, eveyone but my mom arrived. We waited for a while then started to search. I walked around the outlet for around 15 minutes and did not manage to find her. I bumped into my other brother searching but my mom was nowhere to be found. I decided to pray (I m not a strong Christian but my mom tells me to pray in times of trouble) that my mom will appear so that we can go home. Immediately, she popped up leaving me speachelss… I told her to wait in the car while I search for my brother who is somewhere in the mall still searching. Again I decided to pray (I was thinking if he showed up, this would be scary) and he popped out of nowhere. Is this God s work or a coincidence? I know this is a silly question but I am truly amazed and wonder if there really is a God.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:   Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.  I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.  For man also knoweth not his time:  as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.  (Ecclesiastes 9:  10-12, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Standing On The ABCs? (11/09/2017); Leadings of the Spirit (11/05/2017); GOD Is Imparting Truth (10/30/2017); Christ Our High Priest (10/25/2017); Miracles Are Not Everlasting (07/18/2017); Miracles Are From GOD (03/14/2014); Giving Forgiveness? (03/15/2014); Magick and Prayer? (10/29/2012); The Fear of GOD (10/30/2012)

“Jay”, the process GOD is using in our lives is one of revelation and making divinity known, not one of creating mysteries and puzzles, or hiding the truth.  During a person’s lifetime they will have many experiences where the cause or source is hidden and obscured, and that will be difficult to explain.  Often, random, strange, and unfamiliar events trigger behavior, fear, and reactions that are no less than idol worship (attributing divine power to man-made things, things in nature, and other persons), superstition (belief that one may influence outcomes of events by charms, spells, etc.), and fascination with the occult (such things as banshees, Egyptian mummies, and ghosts).  Consider again how Moses was on his way home from the day’s work as a shepherd when, out of curiosity, he stopped to get a closer look at a strange sight.  In fact, he allowed the sheep to continue on without him in order to see what appeared to be a bush that had caught fire.  When he turned aside, Moses did not intend to pray or have a religious “time-out” so much as to see why there was no smoke or ashes from a burning bush.

In agreement with the holy writings, Christian believers expect sacred events (we say, miracles) intended to make known the active presence, character, and purposing of divinity (1) will repeat earlier and recorded divine works (what God has done God can do); (2) will promote such responses as expressing gratitude, obedience, reverence, and thanksgiving; (3) will restore peace of mind by resolving conflicts and settling disputes; (4) will expose error and sin that seem natural and normal, yet, are contrary to human and divine nature; and (5) will be “marked” and have a divine “signature” that declares the author’s name (i.e., proclaim it is an act of GOD).

Born-again believers are to practice discernment wherein their own endowment of imparted spirit from the makeup of GOD is used as a standard to recognize and respond to deposits of divine spirit that reside within events, other people, prophecy, the holy writings, etc.  Water baptism depicts the death, burial, and resurrection of ones inborn spirit.  Thereby, a sinner becomes a vessel containing divine spirit, and is accounted an offspring of GOD, a joint-heir with Christ, and one who bears holy seed that must become ripe for harvest (the return of Jesus Christ).

Many mistakenly turn to Christ because they are seeking material benefits, good fortune, and selfish gain.  Just as there are divine gifts that operate in ones consciousness (e.g., a word of knowledge, a word of wisdom) there are operations of human mind that include instinct, intuition and premonition.  Also, there are such things as “chance”, “likelihood”, “possibilities”, and “probabilities”.  Even so, divine acts will carry out the divine will; will be in harmony with natural and divine law; and will fulfill divine proclamations, promises, and prophecy.  Thus, Christian belief does not endorse psychic powers, sorcery, wishing, witchcraft, and those who claim they have “luck” (a presence that influences the outcomes of events according to their own desire).  Here are some points using language from the Bible:

(1.)  1st Samuel 15:  22-24, King James Version (KJV):  22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.  23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.  24 And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned:  for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words:  because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

(2.)  Romans 8:  13-17, KJV:  13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die:  but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.  14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.  16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:  17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

(3.)  Romans 8:  27-29, KJV:  27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.  28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.  29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and made a part of our own spirit makeup.  (For example, (4.)  1st Corinthians 14:  26-33, KJV:  26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.  27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.  28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.  29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.  30 If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.  31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.  32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.  33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, points are shared on whether to avoid spiritual confusion developing believers should rely more on divine law or the imparted Spirit.  The operations of Christian belief present a pattern of waiting for hope, promises, and prophecies to be fulfilled, and so require such divine provisions as correction, discernment, longsuffering, patience, resilience, trust, and truth.  Even for those who become “born again,” all the elements of gradual growth, regeneration and ripening can appear.  Included are “growing pains,” indecisiveness, lapses of attention where a believer’s every effort seems to “draw a blank,” missteps, risk-taking, trial-and-error, and uncertainty.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Now I’m even more confused. Some Spirit-filled Christians who only obey God here say God instructs us to obey the Torah.?

Other Spirit-filled Christians who only obey God here say God instructs us to follow Christ and accept his grace only. Let’s start there as it seems to be the most fundamental. Which is it and how do you know the spirit is leading you to a correct understanding of God’s will?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;  In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.  And I set my face unto the Lord GOD, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:  And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;  We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:  Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.  O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.  O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.  To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;  Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.  (Daniel 9:  1-10, King James Version, KJV)

“First”, grace does not cancel or contend against law from GOD.  It is sin that opposes the continued existence of divine law, the law giver, and all divine order that emerges by law.  Just as the work of learning our ABCs is one of recalling a set pattern or sequence of letters, acquiring sacred knowledge and internalizing the law from GOD is accomplished by listening, practice, and study to expand our knowledge base pertaining to Deity, and is not so much one of “doing the impossible,” performing miracles, applying psychic powers, or calling forth occult spirits.  Reciting the ABCs is not a matter of reading another person’s thoughts, or predicting future events, yet, once we know the full pattern, when shown a single letter we can say, HIJK…, LMNOP…, or whatever will be next.  What many like about jigsaw puzzles is that, when a piece is correct, it will fit in perfectly, and the person solving the puzzle has immediate feedback telling them, You are right!  This is not the case for the enigmas and puzzles of life, where we are to know by the operations of commitment, conviction, discernment, discovery, and faith.

Those who seek an intimate and personal relationship with divinity, wherein GOD is no longer an abstraction or remote figure, must be anchored by fixed truth and standards that keeps a seeker from losing their way, and maintains their knowledge of the way back home, so to speak.  Part of beginning is making the decision that—whatever disappointments or surprises might occur—you will wait, you will not quit, and you will not “turn back.”  One must begin with a “made up” mind.  Also, there must be the understanding, that Father, Son and Holy Spirit will do much of the most difficult work.  Those who are “born again” receive aspects of inseparable spirit content from the makeup of GOD that include “boldness”, “certainty”, faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, person, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Divine law is as necessary to becoming mature Christians who will construct and determine their own lifestyle and daily routines as rebirth, and a sinner becoming a new creation through operations of the imparted Spirit, for sacred law expresses the heart, mind and sovereign will of GOD.

When people begin to fit a jigsaw puzzle together, they usually start with a mix of disconnected pieces, however, they also should have some picture of what the puzzle will look like once they finish.  Most who want to solve jigsaw puzzles rely on finite human tools such as emotion, intellect, intuition, and carnal reason.  In the same way, a solver must test and try the fitness for every piece he takes up, a developing Christian believer must test and try many different claims, events, messages, and statements.  That something is unfamiliar, or fails to fit, does not mean the solver is inept, unskilled, wrong, or that important missing pieces do not exist.  It only means a single, possible solution was not correct; and the solver is to continue examining patiently other possibilities.  Consider the following that uses language from the holy writings:

(1.)  Habakkuk 2:  2-4, King James Version (KJV):  2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.  3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie:  though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.  4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him:  but the just shall live by his faith.

(2.)  John 4:  23-24, KJV:  23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth:  for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  24 God is a Spirit:  and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

(3.)  Hebrews 11:  6, KJV:  6 But without faith it is impossible to please him:  for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Of course, there is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  2nd Peter 1:  2-11, KJV:  2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,  3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:  4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:  that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.  5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;  6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;  7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.  8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.  10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure:  for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:  11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, focus is on the Bible as a single source of correct sacred knowledge for Jews, Christians, and others.  Christian believers are to accept that there is only one continuous, multifaceted revelation of divinity that has been going forth throughout existence intended to make Deity knowable, known, accessible and approachable.  By receiving inseparable aspects of spirit content from the makeup of GOD (e.g., faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, meekness, wrath against sin), men and women living on the earth are being made fit to enter into intimate and personal relationships with GOD, and experience the Creator in ways that are orderly and regular, yet, dynamic and organic.  The Jews, as a people have been the heirs for the priesthood from GOD delivered to Adam, and supported by divinity as those who demonstrate, obey, preserve, and publish divine law and sacred oracles.  Even so, as with Christians in the coming day of the Lord, only a remnant from among the Jews will be acknowledged as part of the Savior’s harvest when he returns (i.e., his appearing; the Advent; the Rapture; the Second Coming).

It is written:

Ephesians 1:  7-11, King James Version (KJV):  7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;  8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;  9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:  10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:  11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

Kehillah in Ephesus 1:  7-11, Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB):  4 Just as He picked us out to be part of Hashem’s Bechirim (Chosen Ones) before the hivvased tevel (foundation of the world), that we should be Kadoshim and without mum (defect, VAYIKRA 22:  20) before Him in ahavah:  [VAYIKRA 11:  44; 20:  7; SHMUEL BAIS 22:  24; TEHILLIM 15:  2]  5 Having provided the yi’ud merosh (predestination) for us to be chosen as adopted bnei brit through Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach Yehoshua to Himself, according to the chafetz (good pleasure) of His ratzon (will),  6 To the tehilat kavod of the Chen v’Chesed Hashem of Him (to the praise of the glory of His grace) by which Hashem freely favored us in the Moshiach HaAhuv.  7 In Him we have the pedut (redemption, Geulah release on payment of ransom) through the [kapporah] dahm of Moshiach [YESHAYAH 53:  10-12; DANIEL 9:  26; BAMIDBAR 19:  20], the selichat chatoteinu (forgiveness of our sins), according to the osher (wealth) of His Chen v’Chesed Hashem (grace of G-d);  8 Which He lavished upon us,  9 In all chochmah (wisdom) and binah (understanding), having made hisgalus (revelation) to us of the sod of His ratzon (mystery of His will), His chafetz (good pleasure), according to the etza (counsel, plan of G-d) which Hashem set forth in Moshiach:  10 For a pekudat Hashem (stewardship of G-d), a plan for the fullness of time, gathering up all things in Moshiach, both the things in Shomayim and the things on Ha’Aretz in Him.  11 In Moshiach we have also obtained a nachalah (allotted inheritance, TEHILLIM 16:  5-6), having been predestined according to the tochnit Hashem (purposeful and willed plan of G-d), who works all things after the counsel of His ratzon,

Can someone clarify which part of the bible is for the Jews, which part is for everyone else, and where it says in the bible that it is so?

It is the entire OT for the Jews, and the entire NT for everyone else?

But some things confuse me, like when Jesus said he didn’t come to change the law.. so why did the law change then?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Revelation 7:  4-17, King James Version (KJV):  And I heard the number of them which were sealed:  and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.  Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.  Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.  Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.  Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.  After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;  And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.  And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,  Saying, Amen:  Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.  And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?  And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.  Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple:  and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.  They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.  For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Kehillah in Ephesus 2:  4-17, Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB):  And I heard the mispar (number) of the ones having been sealed, 144,000, having been marked with the chotam (seal) from kol shivtei Bnei Yisroel (every tribe of the Sons of Israel),  Of the shevet of Yehudah, 12,000 having been sealed; of the shevet of Re’uven, 12,000, of the shevet of Gad, 12,000,  Of the shevet of Asher, 12,000, of the shevet of Naphtali, 12,000, of the shevet of M’nasheh, 12,000,  Of the shevet of Shim’on, 12,000, of the shevet of Levi, 12,000, of the shevet of Yissass’khar, 12,000,  Of the shevet of Z’vulun, 12,000, of the shevet of Yosef, 12,000, of the shevet of Binyamin, 12,000.  After these things I looked, and, hinei, a great multitude, which to number no one was being able, out of every nation and from shevatim (tribes) and haumim (the peoples) and lashonot (tongues), standing before the Kes (Throne) and before the SEH (Lamb, SHEMOT 12:  3; YESHAYAH 53:  7 Moshiach), each clothed with a kittel and lulavim in their hands.  And they cried with a kol gadol (loud voice), saying, Yeshu’at Eloheinu is of Hashem, our G-d, the One sitting on the Kes (Throne), and of the SEH (Lamb, SHEMOT 12:  3; YESHAYAH 53:  7 Moshiach).  And all the malachim stood around the Kes (Throne) and the Zekenim (Elders, SHEMOT 12:  21) and the Arbah Chayyot and they fell before the Kes (Throne) on their faces and they worshiped Hashem, saying, [TEHILLIM 3:  8]  Omein, the bracha (blessing) and the kavod (glory) and the chochmah (wisdom) and the hodayah (thanksgiving) and the hod (honor) and the oz (power) and the gevurah (strength) be to Hashem Eloheinu l’Olelamei Olamim. Omein.  And one of the Zekenim (Elders, SHEMOT 12:  21) answered, saying to me, These ones, each wearing a kittel, who are they and from where did they come?  And I said to him, Adoni, you have da’as. And he said to me, These are the ones coming out of HaTzarah HaGedolah (The Great Tribulation, Mt. 24:  29) and each washed his kittel and whitened it in the dahm of the SEH (Lamb, SHEMOT 12:  3; YESHAYAH 53:  7 Moshiach).  Therefore, they are before the Kes (Throne) of Hashem and serve Him yomam valailah in His Beis Hamikdash, and the One sitting on the Kes (Throne) will pitch the tent of His Mishkan over them. [YESHAYAH 4:  5]  They will hunger no more nor thirst nor shall the shemesh (sun) strike them nor any scorching heat, [YESHAYAH 49:  10]  Because the SEH, (Lamb, SHEMOT 12:  3; YESHAYAH 53:  7 Moshiach) at the center of the Kes (Throne), will shepherd them and will lead them to the Makor Mayim Chayyim [“Fountain, source of Living Waters,” YIRMEYAH 2:  13], and Hashem will wipe away every tear from their eynayim. [YESHAYAH 25:  8; 35:  10; 51:  11; 65: 19]

“Anonymous”, many modern believers receive the Bible as a single collection of 66 to 77 books, and a complete library of holy writings intended for all created beings and living creatures.  (Believers are cautioned, even the devil is known to quote Scripture.)  While various sacred documents included have been entrusted to, protected, reproduced, and shared among certain Eastern tribes and language groups, the Bible is acknowledged as having been recorded by men on the earth responding to the active presence we now speak of as GOD.  The Bible presents accounts that describe Creation, divine order, eternal purpose, and different aspects of sacred process from our Maker’s point of view (i.e., thousands of events, in thousands of lives, over the course of thousands of years).

The different documents of the Bible include oral traditions that have been recorded; bequests, estates and inheritances, regarding priesthood and divine gifts; chronicles and government records; covenants and divine law; liturgy, poetry and sacred songs for worship; divine promises; wisdom contained in parables and proverbs; and prophecy as well as testimony and witness pertaining to judgment.  The Bible is respected as the most important and reliable source of sacred knowledge that addresses the origins of heaven and earth, of the life forms that include angels, animals, insects, and mankind, of multiple covenant relationships with GOD, and of the character, makeup and spirit content of divinity.

GOD is a spirit whom men are to acknowledge as having authority, immortality, ownership of all that exists, personness, power, and sovereign will.  Divinity has appeared on the earth using human form (we say, Incarnation) to accomplish multiple sacred works such as atonement and propitiation for sin, the gathering of all believers within a single kingdom of GOD, and the transformation of those approved through judgment to exist as eternal companions of divinity.  Consider, again, the following that uses the language from the Scriptures:

Psalms 52:  7-8 , King James Version (KJV):  8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God:  I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.  9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it:  and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

Tehillim 52:  8-9, Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB):  8 (10) But I am like a green zayit (olive tree) in the Beis Elohim; I trust in the chesed Elohim olam va’ed.  9 (11) I will give Thee thanks l’olam, because Thou hast done it; and I will wait on Shimecha; for it is tov before Thy chasidim.
Ephesians 4:  4-7, KJV:  4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;  5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,  6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.  7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Kehillah 4:  2-7, OJB:  2 With all anavah (humility) of mind and meekness, with savlanut (longsuffering), showing forbearance to one another in ahavah,  3 Being eager to keep the achdus (unity) of the Ruach Hakodesh in the uniting bond of shalom;  4 As there is one guf (body) [Gn 47:  18; Ps 16:  9-10; Job 19:  25-27; Isa 53:  11] and one Ruach Hakodesh, as also you were called in one tikvah (hope) of your kri’ah:  5 Adon echad, emunah achat, tevilah achat,  6 One G-d and Avi khol (Father of all), who is over all and through all and in all. [DEVARIM 6:  4; ZECHARYAH 14:  9]  7 But to each of us was given the Chen v’Chesed Hashem according to the measure of the Matnat HaMoshiach.
There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  Ephesians 2:  8-22, KJV:  8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God:  9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.  10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.  11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;  12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:  13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.  14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;  15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;  16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:  17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.  18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.  19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;  20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;  21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:  22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Kehillah in Ephesus 2:  8-22, OJB:  8 For by unmerited Chen v’Chesed Hashem you have been delivered from Hashem’s Mishpat (Judgment) and granted a share in the Geulah (Redemption), through emunah; and this is not [an einfal (intuitive idea)] of yourselves, it is a matnat Hashem (gift of G-d);  9 Not the result [of the zchus (merit)] of doing ma’asim (works) [Ac 15:  1; Ga 5:  3 4], so that before Hashem no man should be a ravrevan (boaster, braggart). [DEVARIM 9:  5]  10 For we are His masterpiece, having been created in Moshiach Yehoshua for ma’asim tovim, which Hashem prepared beforehand, that the derech of our halakhah should be in them.  [YESHAYAH 29:  23; 42:  7; 60:  21;]  11 Therefore, have zikaron (remembrance) that formerly you, the Goyim in the flesh, who are called “arelim” (uncircumcised ones) by the ones being called “nimolim” (circumcised ones) which is a Bris Milah performed in the flesh by human hands  12 Have zikaron (remembrance) that you were at that time bazunder (unrelated and separate) from Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach, having been alienated from the torat haEzrakhut (the citizenship) in the Am Brit, from Yisroel, being zarim (strangers) to the Beritot HaHavtacha, farloiren (lost) and having no tikvah (hope) and without G-d in the Olam Hazeh.  [YESHAYAH 14:  1; 65:  1]  13 But now in Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach Yehoshua, you, who formerly where in the outermost courts, have been brought near by the kapporah of the dahm of Moshiach.  14 For Moshiach himself is our shalom, who made the Shneym into Echad, having broken down in the basar of Moshiach the barrier of the Mechitzah (the dividing partition), the Soreg (barrier of the holy precinct in the Beis HaMikdash between Jews and non-Jews), the Eyvah (Enmity),  15 By annulling the chok (decree, law) of mishpatim in ordinances that the Shnaym He might create in Himself into Adam Chadash Echad (One New Humanity), arbitrating shalom,  16 And that Moshiach might bring the ritztzuy (reconciliation, cessation of enmity), reconciling to Hashem the Shnaym into one guf (body) [BERESHIS 47:  18; TEHILLIM 16:  9-10; IYOV 19:  25-27; YESHAYAH 53:  11] through the Moshiach’s Etz, having put to death the Eyvah by it.  17 And having come, Moshiach preached shalom to you, the ones in the outermost courts, and shalom to the ones near; [TEHILLIM 148:  14; YESHAYAH 57:  19]  18 Because through Moshiach we both have HaSha’ar laHashem (gate to approach G-d’s presence, access of the tzaddikim TEHILLIM 118:  20) by one Ruach Hakodesh to Elohim HaAv.  19 Therefore, then, no longer are you zarim and aliens, but you are fellow citizens of the Kadoshim and bnei bayit members of the household of G-d,  20 Having been built upon the yesod (foundation) of the Shlichim and Nevi’im, Moshiach Yehoshua himself being the ROSH PINAH (TEHILLIM 118:  22),  21 In whom all the binyan (edifice), being fitly joined together, grows into a Heikhal Kadosh b’Hashem;)  22 In whom also you are being built together into a Mishkan of Hashem in the Ruach Hakodesh. [T.N. In this chapter Rav Sha’ul uses the courts of the Beis Hamikdash to teach the saving work of Moshiach.])  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
