Whether we should continue to use childhood prayers in high school and thereafter is the topic, today. Also, there is more on children’s church. The “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Catroina” (Level 1 with 123 points, a member since March 20, 2013) posted the following:

Am I getting to old for these prayers?

(Before Bed)
Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep,
If I shall die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take. Amen.
God bless everybody in my family and make me a good little girl.
(Before Dinner)
God is Grace and God is Good,
Lord we thank you for our food,
Bow our heads, we must be feed,
Give us Lord, our daily bread. Amen.
I’m a freshman in high school. Am I getting to old for these prayers, or can you keep saying them forever? Just wondering.

THE BATTLE AXE: Issues for Children’s Church (04/06/2013)—(6.) The birth mother is the first teacher (i.e., human agent and spokesperson for GOD) to her own child, and divine instruction within the home is to be under the headship of the father. In addition to guidance that socializes a child to acknowledge others as responsible members of the congregation, young believers must have demonstrations that affirm that what was begun and continued within the home is harmonized with, increased by, and reconciled to gifts and ministries in heaven and upon earth, during time past, present and yet to come, throughout the full congregation as well as for created beings, living creatures, and those unseen throughout the universe of GOD. (7.) All teaching in the church is by the operation of the Holy Spirit. The same truth must go forth to all despite differences in age, ethnicity, gender and social standing; the same divine law and Gospel of salvation are to be imparted to all. Just as at Sinai—where every full grown man, woman, expectant mother and yet unborn child along with minors, teenagers and young adults, shared the experience of feeling and hearing the voice of GOD proclaim the terms of covenant—the sacred process that fosters comfort, edification and prophecy continues as both verbal and visceral. Divine substance must be conveyed including faith, fear of the Lord (i.e., reverence, right respect), holiness, joy, longsuffering, wisdom and wrath against sin. See Deuteronomy 4: 32-40, Isaiah 54: 13-15 and John 6: 45, King James Version.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. (Revelation 5: 1-8, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: A Spirit Church? (04/04/2013); My Brother’s Keeper (04/05/2013); Eat His Body, Drink His Blood (03/21, 2013); Foolish For Not Believing? (03/22/2013); Grandchildren? (03/23/2011); A To Do List (03/24/2011)

Catroina, many mature Christian believers trust that every acceptable prayer they have ever offered to GOD continues to be useful as a sincere expression of their innermost feelings and personal understandings, and an eternal link binding us to the Holy. While our practice of prayer as children begins with simple rhymes, and may appear as vain repetition, we quickly grasp that our attitude, our tone, and many other subtle elements infuse our prayers with beauty, power and sacred substance pleasing to GOD. What others may mock because of its simplicity, in fact, is deep and profound; and is usually not said often enough, and can not be spoken too many times, like heartfelt “thank you,” and “I love you.”

As we grow emotionally, physically, psychologically, and spiritually, the concerns we should share with GOD through our prayer relationship also change. In addition to the embrace of our day-to-day, real-world challenges, crises and emergencies, we should begin to unselfishly address a broad range of life duties, family issues, fears, goals, growing pains, and our sacred work of spreading the Gospel. As a gift and tool from GOD, our prayers should share, and show to GOD, who we really are through our private feelings and thoughts. However, prayer should never be a matter of “me, myself and I;” self promotion, and the demand to “have our own way.”

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, repeating the Lord’s Prayer, or the Rosary should be continued as part of ones prayer life, however, these should not be relied upon as the only communication offered in ones prayer life. Like the sacraments of confession and the Lord’s Supper, the practice of memorized prayers, or even prayers that quote verses from the Bible, should be recognized as works of faith that, of themselves, do not bestow salvation. Believers must accept that their salvation is only through grace, by faith in the work of GOD in the person of Jesus Christ, and through the Holy Spirit.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

The early church as a socialist commune is the topic today, along with more on the church of Jesus Christ as an assembly of spirits. The “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Sunshine” (Level 6 with 12,044 points, a member since July 6, 2006) posted the following:

In the bible and the Christian religion, does Acts 4: 34,35 mean that we should live as socialists?

I do not think so, but my Bible study is having this discussion. Thank you

THE BATTLE AXE: A Spirit Church? (04/04/2013)—(5.) Those who opposed the ministry of Jesus, and demanded that he be crucified, also insisted that the Temple at Jerusalem, its law and priesthood were the highest expression of GOD for the earth. A church from GOD could only be understood as a cultural, historical, material, political and social phenomena to exalt the Jewish people above the Gentiles and heathens. (6.) Divine substance must come into view as the content of all who participate in the Church of Jesus Christ. Called the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, and the Spirit of Truth, an imparted spirit from GOD must indwell every believer. (7.) Aspects of divinity that otherwise exist only in GOD are deposited into believers. Included are faith, holiness, humility, longsuffering, love, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin. (8.) Through the Spirit from GOD, believers experience operations and processes that change their inner nature, and furthers their ability to function in agreement with Jesus. Included are baptism, meekness, rebirth, regeneration, repentance, and sanctification. (9.) In addition to comprehensiveness, the church of Jesus is described by balance, dynamism, sobriety, stability, vigilance and zeal. (10.) Denominations appear to provide institutional overlays upon the Spirit Church that promote peculiar doctrines, policies and practices intended to facilitate administration and management of congregations. For the most part, the experience of eternal life, and the spiritual “quality of life” for those in Christ remain unchanged. While attempting to portray what is acceptable to GOD, denominations tend to center upon what is more or less acceptable among men. (11.) Although denominations, cults, factions and sects introduce disciplines that serve as ceremonial law and ritual, these may not counterfeit or replace the true sacraments of the Spirit Church; and such features offer no obstacle to divine goals for diversity, dominion of faith, global presence, inclusion, religious liberty, and spiritual unity. See John 4: 22-24, Ephesians 2: 11-22, 1st Peter 2: 5-8, 1st Corinthians 1: 24 and Ephesians 4: 4-7, King James Version.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me. And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you? And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. (Luke 12: 13-15, KJV)

Sunshine, here are a few points to prayerfully consider:

(1.) The early church gravitated to the historical models provided by Moses and those who left Egypt. The twelve tribes were challenged to become a single people in covenant with GOD, and a unified nation before all the kingdoms of the world. The law was the primary tool for fitting their self-will to divine will, and for transforming their independence and self-awareness into interdependence and acknowledgment of collective will.

(2.) For those alive in Christ, goals of spiritual perfection are attained most readily through dependence upon divine grace, the operations of the Holy Spirit, and interdependence within a body of believers, the church. Through the church, as through ones family, believers are continually available to one another; encourage, respect and benefit from one another’s praise, prayer, study and worship; share common spiritual principles, purposes, understandings and values; and thoughtfully avoid contradictions, lapses and reversals of personal discipline.

(3.) GOD established an economy for Israel whereby a lawful and righteous distribution and ownership of property was at the core of communal living. In addition to a spiritual inheritance of covenant and worship, every legitimate child received a sure expectation of a place in decision making, defense of the larger community, and security within a commonwealth.

(4.) In agreement with changes for their spirit, Christian believers acquire a greater sense of personal accountability along with collective awareness. Believers apply their skills, fulfill their duty, exercise authority and privilege, and continually acknowledge that their own practices now carry consequences and influences for created beings, living creatures, unseen generations, and others throughout the universe of GOD.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (5.) The church in the earth is challenged to answer all the needs of its members. As a result, issues of the flesh (appetite such as hunger, thirst, craving for sex; sensation such as seeing, hearing, tasting, touching; mental functions such as desire, fantasy, imagination, memory), and the world are continually brought against the processes of Spirit. As with most other frameworks derived from politics, socialism is not a tool of the church. In the same way there must be clear and useful mechanisms in place to administer the spiritual gifts that are commonly held property of the body, there must be devices and disciplines to ensure that all things be done “decently and in order” with regard to carnal things. See 1st Corinthians 14, KJV.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Focus, today, is upon the foundation for the church described and proclaimed by Jesus Christ. Also, there is more on knowledge and the life of ones spirit. The “Yahoo! Answers” writer using ID “Matthew” (Level 2 with 340 points, a member since January 12, 2013) posted the following:

What church is Jesus referring to in Matthew 16:18-19?

THE BATTLE AXE: Life Given By Knowledge? (04/03/2013)—(6.) Knowledge itself is not life; yet, knowledge provides order and structure for life, and permits affirmation of life through certainty and confidence. Knowledge about GOD that is from GOD unveils a sacred dimension for human existence, and transforms the operation and spirit makeup of human awareness. (See 2nd Peter 1: 2-11, KJVJ.) (7.) Meekness and repentance must characterize the attitudes and behavior of the changed person who is a believer. In addition to acceptance of divine authority shown as dutifulness, obedience and respect, there must be a willingness to break off noxious habits, irreverence and sinful behavior, a willingness to humbly learn and grow after the direction of the Holy Spirit, and a willingness to encourage, nourish and share the knowledge of redemption and salvation with others.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. (Colossians 1: 12-20, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: The Spirit and Pentecost (03/27/2013); The Passion at Gethsemane (03/28/2013); Science and the Laws of Nature?       Matthew, here are some points that should be helpful to you and your readers. These will have their greatest clarity and usefulness following a simple prayer to show respect, and where one will ask the blessing of GOD to correctly understand and apply them:

(1.) The church Jesus proclaimed would be present and operate as an inner condition within believers, and is established by direct actions from himself with GOD the Father, and the same Holy Spirit that operated at Creation. More than a physical building or social institution, the church is to be identified as an assemblage of spirits.

(2.) The church of Jesus would appear and be realized through sacred truths, rather than secular knowledge, logic, philosophy, reason and science. Focus of the church would not be upon carnal, material and social issues, so much as upon the revealing of GOD to mankind through divine utterance. Included, here, are appearances of the word from GOD imparted to humanity as confession, doctrine, law, praise, prayer, promise, and prophecy.

(3.) The church of Jesus has a comprehensive cosmic focus, and is a summation binding together and clarifying aspects of truth across time (past, present, future), space (earth, heaven, the universe), and embracing all sentient beings (e.g., angels, animals, mortals, sacred beasts of heaven).

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) A specific spiritual truth is the foundation and rock that serves as the platform for the church: The church appears among mankind, however cannot be known by operations of “flesh and blood,” or the usual mechanics of the World system. The World system is man-made, and has been fashioned to ease acquiring and exchanging resources, and to ensure human survival. Familiar aspects of the World include agriculture, domesticating animals, language groups, money, and politics.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today’s presentation (below) focuses on the church of Jesus Christ as an endowment for the holy angels; and there is more on the value to full Christian belief for those portions of the Bible printed in red ink and identified as the words spoken by our Savior.

THE BATTLE AXE: Reading Only The Red Part (11/19/2012)—As surely as setting a glass of milk or a magazine atop the closed Bible was punishable by “tongue-lashing”, one could never throw a Bible into the trash that had frayed, missing and torn pages. The element of fear in may homes that surrounded the Scriptures, was as serious and solemn as when a flag must be burned after the desecration that occurs when the flag is dropped and touches the soil. Many regarded the red-letter Bible as actually printed using the blood of Jesus, and the red part was not from any book-maker’s ink. Even among scholars, forms of Bible-olatry are found where various collations, footnotes, languages, and translations are exalted as “more scholarly than thou.” Where the Old Testament writings may be characterized as forecasts and projections, New Testament writing is witness and testimony that affirm completed events, and continue the revelation of things already in process that are yet to be fulfilled. Mature believers, who themselves have been touched by the spiritual power of the Bible, generally endorse the counsel given by the Apostle Paul to Timothy, the first bishop and elder appointed to raise up churches among the Gentiles: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2nd Timothy 3: 16, King James Version)

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. (Ephesians 3: 8-12, King James Version)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: To See With New Eyes (11/06/2012); A Partnership? (11/05/2012); Seeking and Being Sought (11/04/2012); When Prayer Works (10/11/2012); Sin Unknown? (10/10/2012); The Gender of Angels? (10/09/2012); Repelled by the Bible? (08/13/2012); Marriage and Civil Law (08/14/2012); Coveting The Throne (03/07/2012); Bible Boring? (09/29/2010); Swearing? (09/30/2010)

As I sat with my older brother and sister at Sunday morning breakfast, my brother strongly disagreed when I made point based on a Bible verse that is found in the Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Ephesians. Proclaiming the supremacy of GOD over heaven and earth, I declared that mankind is on display before the holy angels and the living creatures of heaven. The church of Jesus Christ is an instrument for divine purpose that includes communicating sacred truth regarding sin, repentance, and the prolonged existence of spirit being.

The angels were created as “finished” beings containing the full measure of divine endowment they would use throughout their presence and service before GOD. Included were such gifts as authority, joy, knowledge, and self-will. These holy beings were made having neither mortality nor immortality; and were not to be all-knowing or able to predict the future. Given that GOD did not create sin, sin is not spirit matter, and divine purpose does not include the operation of sin among the created, angels of the host were given no knowledge and understanding of sin, of repentance from sin, or of the evil (i.e., widespread damage, sudden reversals, upheaval) that results by sin. This permits us to say, both men and angels have been created with a peculiar ignorance. Even so, sin first appeared within the heavens; and various divine procedures are now in effect as an endowment that enables all to detect and resist sin.

For mankind, embracing the earthly ministry, death, resurrection, and eternal priesthood of Jesus through spiritual re-birth establishes a divine nature and sacred will that are untouchable by sin. The breath of life bestowed upon mankind at Creation is increased and supplemented through the Holy Ghost (also called the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, and the Spirit of Prophecy). The divine content that resided within the heart and mind of Jesus are imparted as indwelling spirit. Such features should be seen as awe, faith, hope, humility, longsuffering, love, obedience, truth, wisdom and wrath against sin. When men hear, internalize and live the tenets of the Gospel, their spirit content is transformed; and they begin to operate as sons and daughters of GOD, who display incorruptibility, eternal life, and immortality.

Thus, for the heavenly host, mankind serves as a living declaration from GOD that depicts otherwise invisible, and unknowable sacred purpose, and spirit truth. The angels do not know family and intimate relationships as men and women; and the ministering spirits are organized according to hierarchies and ranks that include dominions, powers principalities, and thrones. The church revealed as a mate and paramour to GOD perfected by Jesus Christ expresses and proclaims spirit-person and divine will just as Creation, the law, judgment, and prophecy.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, those angelic beings that seek to have dominion in the earth (called demons, devils, unclean spirits) are finite beings who were endowed to exist as princes and rulers within the heavens. These are not suited to reign upon the earth and within the same frameworks and limitations of mankind (e.g., flesh, mortality, time and space). Their efforts to rule will always be frustrated, and smashed apart by such features as death, fear, human error, lack of divine perspective, and mankind’s physical weaknesses.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

The value of church attendance, and more on the way of GOD being mysterious are topics, today. The “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Victoria” (Level 2 with 309 points, a member since September 25, 2012) posted the following:

What is the point of worshipping God in a church, Is it to make him happy?

or to satisfy the worshippers? Do worshippers gain pleasure from singing about God?

THE BATTLE AXE: Why “Mysterious” (11/11/2012)—Mystery and the hiding of truth is the exact opposite of revelation. Even so, the acquisition of sacred knowledge proceeds through operations within the believer that are carried out by the Spirit of GOD. In the same way a child learns to say “mama” and “dada”, or becomes able to recite the alphabet in English, yet still is unable to read and write, Christian believers hear the Gospel preached, must internalize its truth, correctly apply the doctrines and law in living situations, and also combine and reconfigure their own spirit content to bear fruit as godly patterns for praise, prayer, service, and worship.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law. (Deuteronomy 29: 29, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: The Gender of Angels? (10/09/2012); Parental Duty? (10/08/2012); Does GOD Need Worship? (03/23/2012); The Place For Prayer (01/17/2012); Why We Do…and Don’t (01/18/2012); Binder 19: Commitment By Believers (10/16/2011); Confess? Yes! (02/20/2011)

Because what I am about to share with you is intended for those mature believers who participate in an understanding of salvation through a new covenant from Almighty GOD in Jesus Christ, there may be many points that are new and strange for you. Even so, receive this answer as “a beginning” toward coming into fuller truth:

The church founded by Jesus is more than a political or social institution that permits men to have contact and exchange as allies, competitors, comrades, and rivals. Like the Bible and other holy writings that detail, explain and illustrate spiritual concepts, church attendance establishes a shared “vocabulary of experience” whereby believers may clearly communicate to one another regarding the invisible, yet, manifest things of GOD. Along with believers and the Scriptures, the institution of the church is an evidence of things unseen, and constitutes a divine presence in the earth.

The church is more than a laboratory or tool for divine experiments upon mankind. The church is a living, spiritual body, and as such must learn, grow and mature, and is not limited by death, space or time. In the same way sexual joining for reproduction is a joining of spirit content for mortal beings, the assembling together of believers and those who serve Christ is a joining of their spirit content with that of all believers who ever lived upon the earth as well as with that of the heavenly host and the sacred GODhead.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, the church serves mankind nourishing ones human spirit during the transformation from consistently operating through an animal nature to continuous operation having divine nature. The church is being used to maintain divine order and sacred law that not only applies to the earth; it embraces the entire universe.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
