Today, response is shared to the article (14 August 2017) The 1st Truth the Church Needs For Revival! posted by M R Charles (Rwanda) in his Mugisha Thoughts Blog  – Change Obey Endure Project™ – at wordpress.com.  Revival for the church of Jesus Christ is a sacred operation to assess and declare spiritual needs within the body, to prepare developing believers for a falling of the Holy Ghost as well as one to invoke and welcome a fresh outpouring of divine gifts.  It may be more correct to say that prayer is one of the fruits from revival, rather than revival being one of the fruits from prayer.  The following except was shared:

When prayer becomes the engine, not the caboose, of our ministry efforts then our churches become an unstoppable train that advance the Gospel in unimaginable ways!

To experience this we must learn how to pray with passion, focus and faith. We must pray for the lost. We must pray for each other. We must pray for this nation. We must pray for the world. We must pray that God intervenes to break up the hard soil of unregenerate hearts and send forth seed-chuckers who will spread his message everywhere to everyone!

Let’s wake up to the need to pray!

Written by Greg Stier

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.  Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:  And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.  Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain:  and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.  And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.  Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;  Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.  (James 5:  13-20, King James Version, KJV)

“Mugisha”, speaking in oneness without sameness and the authority of one believer to another, my first thoughts in response to the call for prayer being made in your blog was to caution myself that to pray is more than simply to ask that GOD give and supply whatever might be our sacred desires and needs.  In fact, I thought, that may be one of our greatest weaknesses, understanding prayer as primarily a process of petitioning divinity.  Prayer also can be continuous conversation and dialog with divinity, inquiry for guidance and knowledge, praise, and thanksgiving.  Surely where confession and sorrowing for sin are not thought more essential as the wellspring of revival, the church tends to center upon carnal and material goals for increased membership, fund raising, and social activity (i.e., business as usual).  The call for revival should emerge from the assessment of spiritual health and maturity within the body, not merely a calendar of events, or inquiry asking, how long has it been since the last…?

Both through regular prayer and revival, there should be acknowledgment of the ongoing judgment and refocus on the promises of GOD.  Thereby, the process, proclamation, and fulfillment of prophecy will be maintained in our view as our answer from GOD in Christ.  I hesitated to share any comment, because I thought my motives might be misunderstood, and received as argumentative, interference, or meddling.  Perhaps, because my goal is to edify, the following from the holy writings will clarify what it is that needs to be said:

(1.)  Ezra 9:  5-8, King James Version (KJV):  5 And at the evening sacrifice I arose up from my heaviness; and having rent my garment and my mantle, I fell upon my knees, and spread out my hands unto the LORD my God,  6 And said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God:  for our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is grown up unto the heavens.  7 Since the days of our fathers have we been in a great trespass unto this day; and for our iniquities have we, our kings, and our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is this day.  8 And now for a little space grace hath been shewed from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage.

(2.)  Nehemiah 9:  1-3, KJV:  1 Now in the twenty and fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, and with sackclothes, and earth upon them.  2 And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all strangers, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.  3 And they stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of the LORD their God one fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshipped the LORD their God.

(3.)  Daniel 9:  4-10, KJV:  4 And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O LORD, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;  5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:  6 Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.  7 O LORD, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.  8 O LORD, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.  9 To the LORD our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;  10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  1st John 1:  5-10, KJV:  5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.  6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:  7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.  8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Scripture points on the meaning of a purple cloth draped upon the cross are shared, today.  Divinity appeared incarnate (we say, in flesh, having a mortal body) upon the cross to fulfill prophecy, and promises that GOD would judge and rule over his people chosen from among mankind.  Their transformation to become life companions with divinity (we say, eternal life) has begun through rebirth, and ongoing operations of the Holy Spirit that will be completed as believers are taken up to meet the Savior in the air when Christ appears to reap his harvest from the earth.  Every earthly kingdom grounded in finite and material existence continues to respond to the divine monarchy of Jesus as did Rome, the one-world empire of its day.  Consider again the following Bible verses, and the presentation below:

Psalms 45:  3-7, King James Version (KJV):  3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.  4 And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.  5 Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.  6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever:  the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.  7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness:  therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

John 6:  11-15, KJV:  11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.  12 When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.  13 Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.  14 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.  15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.

Matthew 27:  27-31, KJV:  27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.  28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.  29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand:  and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!  30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.  31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

Revelation 19:  11-16, KJV:  11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.  12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.  13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:  and his name is called The Word of God.  14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.  15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations:  and he shall rule them with a rod of iron:  and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.  16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

What does the purple cloth on the cross mean?

Every year around Good Friday and Easter I notice purple cloth draped on crosses outside of churches. What is the significance of the cloth and also the purple. I know that around Easter churches sometime perform passion plays. Does the purple denote “passion” or something else? Only genuine, knowledgeable replies, Please.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.  This title then read many of the Jews:  for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city:  and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.  Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.  Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.  Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat:  now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.  They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be:  that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.
(John 19:  19-24, KJV)

“Sunny1121”, through operations of the Holy Spirit, blood and truth from the cross are flowing despite time and space to here and now.  Many mature Christian believers accept the cross draped in purple as a further proclamation that, by his crucifixion and resurrection, Jesus is exalted to be ruler over an “everlasting kingdom” from GOD revealed in prophecy through King David, and uncovered to comfort Daniel while Israel was removed from the Promised Land by the Babylonians.  (Prophecy of the kingdom was begun in Moses, where Christ is called “Shiloh” (Peace), and would be carried forward because GOD himself would become acknowledged as Israel’s true king.)  The Lord’s earthly ministry was not intended to see him installed as monarch over Israel in the place of King Herod, who served as a “figure-head” and tool for the government of Rome.  The credentials and genealogy of Jesus also identified the Savior as the lawful heir and Son of David.  That Roman soldiers gambled for his priestly garment while he hung upon the cross is to depict the lowliness of mankind before the Father in heaven.  The divine covering lost by Adam in Eden can only be restored through the operations of GOD that also require atonement and rebirth to establish a covering for sins.  Consider how this is stated in the language of the holy writings:

(1.)  Genesis 49:  10, King James Version (KJV):  10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

(2.)  Psalms 145:  10-13, KJV:  10 All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.  11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;  12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.  13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.

(3.)  1st Chronicles 29:  10-13, KJV:  10 Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation:  and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.  11 Thine, O LORD is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty:  for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.  12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.  13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

(4.)  Daniel 7:  13-14, KJV:  13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.  14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him:  his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

There is far more to be said, understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.) John 18:  36-38, KJV:  36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world:  if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews:   but now is my kingdom not from hence.  37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.  38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

BOTH DANIEL AND —- held high postions in pagan governmennts?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour:  And for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down.  But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:  And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.  And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;  But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:  Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written.  And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.  (Daniel 5:  18-25, KJV)

“Verna”, Queen Esther, Joseph son of Jacob, and Naaman the Leper served the Holy One of Israel as counselors to pagan governments and as prophets (we also say, spokespersons) of the Most High.  Here are a few points shared among Christian believers that may help you gain further insight to the sacred principles of divine law and other themes involved:

(1.)  Daniel 2:  29-31, King James Version (KJV):  29 As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter:  and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass.  30 But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart.  31 Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible.

(2.)  Daniel 4:  16-19, KJV:  16 Let his heart be changed from man’s, and let a beast’s heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him.  17 This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones:  to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.  18 This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation:  but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee.  19 Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.

(3.)  2nd Chronicles 20:  5-7, KJV:  5 And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court,  6 And said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?  7 Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?

(4.)  Isaiah 45:  1-3, KJV:  1 Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;  2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight:  I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:  3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

(5.)  Ezra 1:  1-3, KJV:  1 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,  2 Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.  3 Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem.

(6.)  Esther 4:  13-16, KJV:  3 Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king’s house, more than all the Jews.  14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed:  and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?  15 Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer,  16 Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day:  I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law:  and if I perish, I perish.

There are many more Scriptures that should be shared, correctly understood, and spiritually taken into account.  (For example, (7.)  John 18:  37, KJV:  37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, points are shared on having correct sacred knowledge, holy angels in Scripture, and the effectiveness and timeliness of prayer.  Those who speak of angels in genuine ministry of the revelation from GOD through Jesus Christ do so with the understanding that exalted and solemn truth from GOD is in view.  As agents of Jesus Christ, spirit beings cooperate with and participate in workings of the Holy Spirit that establish such features of salvation as deliverance, proclamation, prophecy, reconciliation and repentance.  Just as men are to operate in faith—not by sight—as examples and models of godliness to one another upon the earth as well as to those in heaven who have place within the Kingdom of GOD, angels are to display humility, faith and obedience as examples and models of godliness to each other in heaven as well as to all those upon the earth who have place within the Kingdom.  A writer at “Yahoo! Angels in the bible?

My dad was telling me this story yesterday. He said angel Gabriel came down to deliver a message to someone but devils were blocking him and angel Michael had to come down with his troops and fight with the devils for 3 months and only then could angel Gabrielle pass and deliver his message (i forgot to who).

1. Can someone tell me where this is found in the passage? I cant find it anywhere i even tried googling it…
2. If Gabrielle couldnt pass the devils doesnt that mean devils are powerful…angel Michael and his troops had to fight for 3 months…this scares me… 😦

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Then the king of Syria warred against Israel, and took counsel with his servants, saying, In such and such a place shall be my camp.  And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down.  And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice.  Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel?  And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king:  but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.  And he said, Go and spy where he is, that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan.  Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host:  and they came by night, and compassed the city about.  And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?  And he answered, Fear not:  for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.  And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw:  and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.  (2nd Kings 6:  9-17, KJV)

“Qetsiyah”, here are a few points that you may find useful:

(1.)  For Christians, the Holy Spirit and the Bible are the best source for correct sacred knowledge.  Christian believers all are to understand that many misuse the lessons and misapply the warnings from the holy writings, because they take the Scriptures to be fiction, make-believe, or stories for amusement and entertainment.  Lacking the indwelling Spirit from GOD, such persons do not properly respect the Scriptures as a systematic detailing and revelation of divinity.  Thus, all believers must develop discernment (the ability to use the spirit substance within themselves as a standard to recognize and respond to the spiritual content within accounts, messages, parables, question, writings, etc.  as well as within the intentions, objectives, and standing before GOD of other created beings and living creatures).

(2.)  Correction for the many errors in our thinking as believers also comes through such practices as contemplating the divine love appearing in the life and work of Jesus; continuing daily study of the Scriptures; giving, sharing and unselfish service; praise and prayer; and regular fellowship with believers who have more experience and sacred knowledge.

(3.)  Angels are not mortal, are not immortal, and may become subject to sin.  While there are divisions of labor and hierarchy among these ministering spirits, only divinity rules as sovereign over mankind.  Angels appear within the holy writings to further make incarnate (display using human form) the otherwise Invisible character, nature, operations, and eternal purposes of Deity.  Angels do not assist, maintain ongoing relationships with, protect or serve mankind apart from GOD.

(4.)  There are many lessons provided by the account of Daniel seeking to understand prophecies from GOD regarding the end for captivity and exile of Israel by Babylon.  For example, when the prophet decided to fast and pray until he would receive a divine answer, GOD responded immediately by dispatching the angel Gabriel.  It required 21 days (3 weeks) for Gabriel to appear; thus, fasting and prayer are shown to have no power to influence and manipulate GOD.  Without faith, longsuffering, patience and wisdom, many jump to the conclusion that their prayer is unanswered.  Even with the angelic proclamations and visitation, Daniel could not fully grasp the prophecies, and required the indwelling Spirit now available through Jesus Christ.  (See both chapters 9 and 10 in Daniel, King James Version, KJV.)

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (5.)  Jesus Christ has been hailed as Regem Angelorum (King of Angels).  Believers should make careful study of Hebrews 1:  1-14, KJV.  Those upon the earth may respect and trust angels as fellow prophets and servants working to spread the Gospel, yet, are to worship GOD only (see Revelation 19:  6-10 and 22:  8-10, KJV.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Christians persist with their repeated LIE.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  All unrighteousness is sin:  and there is a sin not unto death.   We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.  And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.   And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.  (1st John 5:  17-20, KJV)

“Anonymous”, the question posed here is a familiar one often used to challenge faith and Christian belief by those with an antichrist spirit who seek to foster their own spiritual confusion, rather than the Gospel.  Please consider the following points:

(1.)  Human awareness is dominated by aspects of our carnal, material, physical and social existence.  However, the revelation of GOD must be apprehended through ones endowment of spirit content from GOD.

(2.)  The operations of GOD are called “miracles” and “mysteries” only because they can not be correctly conceived and talked about using only finite human language and symbols.

(3.)  Even those “born again” who receive a fresh deposit of spirit content from the makeup of divinity can not explain and function as mature (we say, perfected) believers without experiences whereby they acquire comprehension, sacred knowledge.  All must develop their own vocabulary of sanctified truth by going through such life experiences as giving, fellowship, loss, study, sufferings, trials, and worship.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  No one receives truth apart from GOD (most people who hear this miss its meaning).  The prophet Daniel prayed for guidance from GOD that was provided to him through a holy messenger.  Yet, Daniel could not understand what he had been given without further growth, help and instruction.  Similarly, Jesus came speaking and doing truth, yet, was rejected by the high priests, the Sanhedrin, and many of the sages of Israel.  Without the imparted, indwelling Spirit men attempt to grasp eternal truth using such finite tools as imagination, intellect, logic, mathematics, philosophy and science.  However, the process of GOD is one where only permanent changes within the spirit substance of a person may exist as divine truth.  Until there is change within, we have no truth.)  I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, more thoughts are shared on the effectiveness of the sinner’s prayer, its importance to ones salvation, and whether a person can be saved without it.  Also, there are points on building ones prayer life, and the continuing place of prayer among those aware of their immersion within divine salvation.  The spiritual power, purpose and substance of prayer also sets prayer apart as an indispensable aspect of ministry (i.e., open displays, exercise, and sharing of spirit content and gifts from divinity), of praise, and of divine visitation.  (James 5:  19-20, KJV)  Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;  Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

THE BATTLE AXE:  Saved by a Prayer? (10/31/2014)—(5.)  Prayer prepares a believer to discern and recognize the indirect operations of GOD through existing cycles and processes of the natural world as well as to receive and witness the sacred events (we say, miracles), interventions and direct action GOD may perform.  Those who accomplish salvation by praying some form of the sinner’s prayer must first have a commitment within themselves to engage GOD as alive, and having aspects of person.  In this beginners compare to the Prophet Daniel.  The Bible account of Daniel, who asked for sacred knowledge and understanding of prophecies regarding when the domination of the Jews by Babylon would end, is also excellent as a model displaying all the necessary aspects of effective prayer:  words reinforced by actions.  Daniel fasted (i.e., went without food, beverages, comforts, amusements and entertainment) and prayed for 21 days.  We are shown, however, that this did not influence or manipulate GOD.  A messenger was immediately dispatched by GOD to grant Daniel an answer in the same moment when Daniel first made a commitment within himself to ask GOD for guidance.  Within Daniel’s model prayer, in addition to his petitions and requests, Daniel confesses sin; acknowledges and affirms divine purpose; declares the name of GOD (i.e., specific deeds performed by divinity that are to be known and present within ones awareness whenever they are addressing or speaking about GOD); demonstrates knowledge of sacred origins for such features as covenant law, the earth, and mankind; humbles himself showing dependence, respect and reverence; and unselfishly intercedes on behalf of all the covenant people.  Despite the correctness and completeness of his prayer, Daniel first had to be enabled before he could speak his own feelings and thoughts to the messenger who appeared from GOD (see Daniel 9:  1-27 and 10:  1-21, KJV).  Daniel was able to receive multiple angelic visitations; yet, he still could not comprehend the breadth and depth of all that was revealed.  As a result, he himself could only share and spread knowledge of the prophecies in a limited way.

(6.)  Prayer fosters careful thought.  As a directed exchange and release of divine spirit content built up within a believer, the judgment of a prayer for its correctness and sacred quality may only be made by the one to whom it is offered.  Believers err when they condemn and criticize one another’s prayers.  Prayers consist of more than merely words and thoughts; they also communicate affirmation, confirmation, intention, purpose, resolve, and aspects of the divine makeup (e.g., faith, holiness, joy, love, peace).  Prayers should not be examined and ranked applying the secular standards for complex and elaborate language such as drama, elocution, rhetoric, and theater.  With this in view, the quality of a prayer is immeasurable; and no fixed price can be set upon prayer as though it is a commodity to be bought and sold, or a mundane service for hire.  Even so, prayers will vary according to such features as beauty, holy boldness, completeness, dutifulness (we say, discipline), gentleness, humility, piety, plainness of speech, prudence, sincerity, sweetness, and truth.  (Ecclesiastes 5:  2-3, KJV)  Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God:  for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth:  therefore let thy words be few.  For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words.

(7.)  Praying in tongues, and utterance by the Holy Spirit are most regarded as genuine manifestations from GOD when not practiced casually or repeatedly in secular settings, and when appearing as spontaneous, unplanned and unrehearsed.  Prayer that reveals the active presence of GOD gives expression to divine intent and prophecy; is less an expression of ones own individual righteousness; and is more a presentation of instruction, needs and purposes for a collective (e.g., a family, a gathering, a congregation, a nation).  (1st Corinthians 14:  4-6, KJV)  He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.  I would that ye all spake with tongues but rather that ye prophesied:  for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.  Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?

(8.)  It is correct that what society might call “starter prayers” be used to promote the development of a child or a new believer’s prayer life.  Such prayers are no less effective as an outreach to GOD for their being brief, simple, employing rhyme as a device to make them easy to remember, or their being regularly repeatedly as a shared activity that furthers ones awareness and integrity as a member within the body of Christ.  In the early stages, the beginner’s prayers are made aloud, and “witnessed” by a parent or fellow believer.  The device of repetition only facilitates pattern acquisition, and learning of new behavior, language, and meanings to express ones inner spirit, and is not at the levels of manipulation, persuasion and programming we call “brainwashing” and thought-control.  While the spirit content that indwells every genuine member within the body of believers is emanated from the same origin and source, believers continue to be diverse and display a broad range of differences as their growth to perfection continues.  Included are such features as the number and nature of their worship experiences, levels of emotional and psychological maturity, their peculiar duties and responsibilities, their sacred knowledge, skills, and talents.  Because all believers eventually are to fashion and maintain their own regimen for uninterrupted prayer, many cultivate private prayer, that may be silent and unspoken, as the most complete and satisfying opportunity for personal expression, and intimate contact with the divine persons.  (Isaiah 66:  1-2, KJV)  Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool:  where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?  For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD:  but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

(9.)  Because acts and works that correctly express faith derive from the Holy Spirit who operates as the agent of Christ, their intent and purpose usually are to supply a believer with experiences from the life and ministry of Jesus.  Events occur that may be both simple and symbolic that are recognized as correctly displaying the Lord only when received as having both practical and spiritual weight.  A believer’s choice to willingly pray a simple sinner’s prayer out loud in public is a more basic expression of ones interest in the things of faith through Jesus Christ, yet, is no less a permanent commitment than the act of surrender to GOD depicted through water baptism.  The few words have power as an elemental cry from humanity, and appear before GOD as part of a heartfelt appeal along with the blood of the cross and wounds upon the body of the resurrected Christ.  Once a person’s words have been spoken before others within the sacred community, their words also must be repeatedly proclaimed and upheld by their actions.  In the church today, baptism generally follows an extended period of prayer, study and fellowship.  As with the sinner’s prayer, the visible human activity is simple.  However, the inner substance of the sinner must be completely replaced by a fresh endowment of divine spirit content.  The quiet, unseen process of sanctification is made visible by baptism; is humanly illustrated using both immersion and sprinkling; and is understood by a believer to be an inward purging to remove sin, not merely a washing of ones outside and surface.  Through operations of the same Holy Spirit that established heaven and earth as spheres for existence, the sinner is changed and transformed so they may express and carry out repentance.  Sinners are helped to see they are brought into covenant with GOD; have been made dead by their own sin; their body and inborn spirit are buried beneath the water; and they are receiving rebirth as new life partners to divinity.  Those born again also must gradually grow and mature.  Sinners are entered into a practical experience for spiritual change that occurs by challenge, growth, obedience, sacrifice and suffering.  (Luke 3:  21-22, KJV)  Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,  And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.)

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended regarding prayer.  (For example, (10.)  The account of salvation obtained by a thief on the cross also includes words acknowledging divinity, confessing error, and requesting eternal life that may be discerned as the sinner’s prayer (Luke 23:  39-43, KJV).  Believers are to understand, it is not the formal religiousness and wording of prayer that establishes a right relationship with divinity so much as compassion, humility, respect, trust, and truth.  Clearly, a sinner may be saved by offering a single prayer, without also having opportunity to perform such sacred practices as baptism, church attendance, penitence, and tithing.  However, it is by resurrection, rather than prayer,  that the divine transformation is finally completed whereby mankind is permanently endowed as having immortality, incorruptibility, and perfection.  (Ephesians 2:  8-9, KJV)  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:   it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, more points are shared on the process of Scripture and why similar accounts featuring different persons and times may appear.

THE BATTLE AXE:  Stories Repeated in the Bible? (08/30/2014)—(5.)  Often, what appears as repetition in the Scriptures presents added and new information that furthers discernment and insight.  The process of spirit growth is one of gradual change and transformation.  The many life lessons of the Bible are conveyed using such elements as comparison, contrast, and diversity.  Many points are provided as admonitions and warning, others for explanation and instruction, while some serve to establish or trigger memory.  What appears to be their similarity and sameness is often the result of their displaying a shared and single spirit.  In the power and purpose of GOD, holy writings provide deposits of spirit content that continually nourish, refresh, and revive ones own endowment of spirit from GOD.  Finite intelligence may only recognize these operations when they appear through familiar forms and clear patterns.  Consider how, when assembling a jigsaw puzzle with thousands of pieces, we find there are many parts that at first appear all to be the same, that we later discover have form and unique details that make each one different from the others.  More than serving to publish carnal and historical information, the Scriptures impart inseparable (where one appears, all the others appear) aspects of divinity from the makeup of GOD.  Thus, with faith there are also holiness, joy, love, righteousness, truth, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  To those lacking discernment (ability to use their own spirit content to recognize and respond to spirit content in events, objects, persons, purposes) these aspects of GOD are lumped together, spoken of, and thought to be interchangeable—that they do the same thing and work the same way.  In fact, however, they are all distinct, yet only have their sacred effect interacting and working together.

(6.)  The device of divine prophecy first appears in the Scriptures during the account of Adam and Eve hearing GOD rebuke the serpent.  Early accounts of prophecy where dreams are used to proclaim divine intent include visions given patriarchs Abraham and Jacob.  Later examples are kings David and Solomon, prophets Ezekiel and Micah, the Apostle Paul, and John the Revelator.  In the Bible, lessons are repeated to demonstrate that the word from GOD given forth as proclamation, promise, and prophecy is credible, focused, trustworthy, and unchanging.

(7.)  Both Daniel and Joseph are symbols, and types (figures that appear repeatedly to represent a peculiar theme, a specific principle, or an operation of GOD) like Jacob and Esau that point to features among humanity such as birthright, brotherhood, competition, covenant, duty, gifts, sibling rivalry, and inheritance to clarify priesthood, service to GOD, and intimate relationship with divinity.  Believers are to discern and recognize that the same GOD is able to function and operate in different conditions and circumstances.

(8.)  All dreams do not carry messages from GOD that reveal sacred events with otherwise hidden and invisible purpose, and our routine dreams are not prophetic in nature.  Prophetic dreams appear through operations by an aspect of full divine person, the Holy Spirit, through and upon the spirit content of those having faith from GOD.  Ordinarily, dreams are a product of ones emotional and mental states.  Actions and declarations are repeated in Scripture to indicate the correct interpretation, divine origin, and significance of dreams and prophesies.  Where a dream from GOD recurs or repeats, it is to indicate the firmness of divine purpose.  See Deuteronomy 13:  1-5, Ecclesiastes 5:  2-3 and 7, Jeremiah 23:  31-33, Daniel 2:  28, Amos 3:  7, Genesis 41:  32 and Acts 2:17, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:   Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me:  and the LORD, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in:  behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.  But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:  And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.  Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.  And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.  For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.  Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts.  But ye said, Wherein shall we return?  (Malachi 3:  1-7, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Chosen To Serve As Prophets (01/01/2014); Lawful Revenge? (01/02/2014); Why A “Spokesperson”? (01/14/2013); No Contradictions? (01/15/2013); About Conversion (09/03/2012)

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (9.)  The Scriptures also are recorded to serve as evidence and testimony in divine judgment.  The device of repetition of similar events over time may be seen as establishing the “weight of evidence” for argument in the same way as multiple eye witness reports, and corroborating materials such as ballistic test results, DNA, fibers, finger prints and telephone logs.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
