Today, focus is on prayer as a sacred process that grants the created access to the oneness without sameness that describes the GODhead.  The teaching that GOD answers prayer with No, Yes and Wait is not doctrine from the Bible, and can be attributed to an author and clergyman from the Reformed Church in America (RCA) in New York City, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, (1898-1993).  In an article from June 25, 2013, Christianity Today magazine calls RCA “the oldest Protestant denomination in America.”  Wikepedia reports that RCA was begun in 1628 as the North American branch of the Dutch Reformed Church, and presently has about 223,675 members.  The Encyclopedia Britannica credits Peale as having tried to instill a spiritual renewal in the U. S. following World War II.  Peale was raised as a Methodist, and first ordained to minister in the Methodist Episcopal church.  The best known of the 46 inspirational books he authored, “The Power of Positive Thinking” (1952), is reported by Britannica as “a classic that ranked (behind the Bible) as one of the highest-selling spiritual books in history.”  To date his book has sold some 5 million copies, and has been translated into 15 languages.  Because “some criticized Peale for oversimplifying Christianity in his uplifting sermons and avoiding deeper confrontations with sin and guilt,” the book was spoken of as “controversial”.  His radio program, “The Art of Living” lasted for 54 years; and his Guideposts Magazine continues with a paid circulation of some 4 million.  A fighter at “Yahoo! Where did Christians come up with the idea that God only answers prayers in one of three ways (yes, no wait)?

That’s not in the bible.

The bible says:

John 14:13-14

“Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. “If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name;  Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.  (Jeremiah 33:  2-3, King James Version, KJV)

“JohnnyBravo”, the popular tradition of “three responses to prayer” (yes, no, wait) acknowledges that the prayer life of believers on the earth also includes delay and disappointment.  Many miss that prayer is more than simply a conversation, a dialog, or other verbal exchange between GOD and a believer.  Prayer is a sacred process that exposes, imparts, and intermingles spirit substance from the makeup of Deity with that within created beings and living creatures.  Prayer may include acknowledging faults and misdeeds, confessing needs, making requests, or declaring promises and vows, however, its primary work is the joining of self-will to divine will.  Prayer can express commitment, humility, repentance, respect and reverence, yet, can not be used to “change God’s mind” or manipulate divinity.  As born-again believers “grow up again” becoming mature as vessels of sacred spirit they must exercise importunity, longsuffering, patience, perseverance, and waiting for divine response as aspects of prayer.  The appearances and outworking of permanent change often are only by gradual and serial events.  Also, in our present state as believers, blessings, gifts, and endowments from GOD must be received as a deposit, a partial-payment, and an earnest of things yet to come.  The frameworks of time and space are to be set aside as we come to comprehend the full truth that GOD is a spirit.  Only following Advent (some say, the harvest, the Rapture, the Second Coming) and in the fullness of eternal life will certain answers to prayer and godly benefits finally be provided.  Included are healing, immortality, incorruption, perfection, and purity.  Consider again the following:

(1.)  Daniel 10:  12-14, King James Version (KJV):  12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel:  for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.  13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days:  but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.  14 Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days:  for yet the vision is for many days.

(2.)  Jeremiah 42:  4-7, KJV:  4 Then Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard you; behold, I will pray unto the LORD your God according to your words; and it shall come to pass, that whatsoever thing the LORD shall answer you, I will declare it unto you; I will keep nothing back from you.  5 Then they said to Jeremiah, The LORD be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which the LORD thy God shall send thee to us.  6 Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.  7 And it came to pass after ten days, that the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah.

(3.)  Jeremiah 43:  1-4, KJV:  1 And it came to pass, that when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking unto all the people all the words of the LORD their God, for which the LORD their God had sent him to them, even all these words,  2 Then spake Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying unto Jeremiah, Thou speakest falsely:  the LORD our God hath not sent thee to say, Go not into Egypt to sojourn there:  3 But Baruch the son of Neriah setteth thee on against us, for to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they might put us to death, and carry us away captives into Babylon.  4 So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, obeyed not the voice of the LORD, to dwell in the land of Judah.

(4.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  Romans 8:  22-25, KJV:  22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.  23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.  24 For we are saved by hope:  but hope that is seen is not hope:  for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?  25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, topics include denominations, differences, and diversity within the household of GOD.  Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, Pentecostal, Methodist, Presbyterian:  there is a long list of names showing institutions who claim the Child that was born.  By the birth of Jesus, multiple streams of eternal purpose were combined and directed to continue in accord.  A child was born to remove enmity and separation between the Gentiles and the Jews, and a new access to the Father would be granted through his blood.  A new creation, the church, would emerge having one faith, one Lord, one baptism, one God and Father of all.  The authority as High Priest, Judge, Redeemer, and King continues to belong to the Son of the Highest.  Yet, the necessary acknowledgment of those who now also are children of GOD and joint-heirs with Christ may be completed only by the Father and the Holy Spirit.  A fighter at “Yahoo! God is not a God of confusion. So with the soo many Protestant sects disagreeing with each other, doesn’t this mean Protestantism is false?

1 Corinthians 14:33

33 For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.

As in all the churches of the saints,

What say ye?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;  That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:  But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.  For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;  Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;  And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:  And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.  For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.  Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;  And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;  In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:  In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.  (Ephesians 2:  11-22, King James Version, KJV)

“Cato”, the existence of many denominations within the full household of GOD does not violate the “rule” of oneness without sameness that exists within the GODhead, and is little different from a father having many sons who are not the same age, do not share the same interests, and do not show the same willingness to do chores around the house.  Most mature Christian believers agree that divinity has appeared in flesh upon the earth as an answer to the many conflicts and questions that continually plague the living.  The aspects of revelation accomplished through the birth of Jesus Christ clarified, fulfilled, and also concluded various sacred covenants, proclamations, promises, and prophecies.  Even so, created beings and living creatures are not equipped to correctly recognize and respond to revealed truth from GOD until they receive a fresh endowment of spirit substance from the makeup of GOD.  Saying this another way, sinners must be born again; and once born again, believers must “grow up again” and mature by meeting life challenges upon the earth.  Diversity appears as an important device that is seen throughout Creation and among believers.  Without appearing in flesh (first as Jesus Christ, then, as his followers), divinity may only be known in relationship as immortal, immutable, invisible, and unchanging.  Through a human aspect, Jesus, the Son of Man, the Son of GOD, divine judgment is shown to center upon atonement, correction, forbearance, forgiveness, mercy, reconciliation, redemption, righteousness, and salvation.  Ethnicity, nationality, race, financial status, etc. are all “vain” (lack sacred substance).  Only GOD may make the necessary judgments of those who will be acknowledged as his offspring and heirs.  Thus, true believers will all patiently await the return of Jesus (we say, Advent, the harvest, the Rapture, the Second Coming, his appearing), and also practice restraint concerning condemnation, conflict, and differences.

Today, focus is upon features that identify assemblies and congregations of the Lord as “religious” or not.  For many, church exists in the modern world as another commercial business and secular institution having no mystical, or spirit aspect.  In addition to differences in manpower, division of labor, and use of specific clerical roles (e.g., bishops, deacons, elders, lay officials, pastors, priests, popes), groups of Christian believers may differ in terms of bylaws, doctrine, policies, practices, organizational units, and institutional structure (ecclesia, parishes, presbytery, etc.).  While the holy writings proclaim “one faith, one Lord, one baptism, one God and Father of all,” many feel the legitimacy of their own faith community is shown by its accomplishment of preordained “good works.”  Others, who are often labeled as “fanatics”, insist divine approval of a body is demonstrated only by appearance among and within its members of the Holy Spirit (also called the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth).  Even so, all the disciples and followers of Jesus have been given the same admonition against becoming complacent, self-centered, and vain (empty; lacking divine substance, therefore, fruitless, pointless, puffed up, unproductive) along with exhortations to remain industrious and vigilant:  James 1:   26-27, King James Version (KJV):  26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.  27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.   A fighter at “Yahoo! Why do some Christians say their church is “not religious”?

I’ve heard them say God hates religion and that all the other churches are religious but not their one.

What does that even mean? How can a church not be religious?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;  And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.  But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;  Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient:  but rather giving of thanks.  For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.  Let no man deceive you with vain words:  for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.  Be not ye therefore partakers with them.  For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord:  walk as children of light:  (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)  Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.  (Ephesians 5:  1-10, KJV)

“Luke”, Christian belief for those who acknowledge the new creation through Jesus Christ centers upon displaying the character, nature, and substance of divinity; carrying out sacred operations to fulfill divine law, proclamation, promise and prophecy; performing unselfish service; providing spiritual comfort to others; and sharing sacred knowledge (we say, preaching the Gospel).  Exchange and interaction among such believers is very different from that among those who are merely continuing as caretakers of formal and inherited sacred practices (e.g., assembly, ceremonies, customs, rites, rituals, traditions); those seeking personal advancement, prosperity, and self-improvement; those pursuing a lifestyle promoted as “acceptable” and “decent”; and those maintaining a social center for families, and those in need assistance programs.  There is a broad range of attitudes, conditions and works that qualify to be spoken of as the “religion” God hates.  Included are coercion; hypocrisy (acting; performing in a way to misdirect commitment and understanding); idol worship; merchandising; oppression; persecution; and vanity (lacking spirit content from the makeup of GOD).  Consider again how this is stated in the Bible:

(1.)  Isaiah 1:  10-14, King James Version (KJV):  10 Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.  11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD:  I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.  12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?  13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.  14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth:  they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.

(2.)  Hosea 6:  6, KJV:  6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

(3.)  John 2:  13-16, KJV:  13 And the Jews’ passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.  14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:  15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables;  16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise.

There is far more to be said, carefully examined, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  Ephesians 5:  25-27, KJV:  25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;  26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,  27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, points are shared to clarify the divine intent and operations of resurrection for the dead.  The resurrection of Jesus Christ after dying upon the cross and burial further served to authenticate his identity as an appearance and incarnation of divinity.  Resurrection is therefore acknowledged as an aspect of revelation wherein divinity is unveiled for the benefit of sentient creatures (those having ability to apprehend the content of existence by operations of their own awareness and self-will).  Resurrection also may be understood as a creation event like that wherein the breath of life (matter from the makeup of Deity, divine spirit, word) was imparted into a carnal form made from the earth (Adam).  In resurrection, as in Creation, a living soul comes into existence only as there is joining of a physical body to diverse aspects of divine Spirit.  In resurrection for the dead, the specific pattern of inseparable spirit content from the makeup of GOD that once existed as the character, nature and substance of a single person upon the earth is deposited within a reconstruction of their former body.  Even though many resurrected ones will be facing the wrath of GOD as those labeled the unjust and the wicked, they will be shielded and spared during their judgment by the love, mercy, restraint and righteousness of GOD.  One of the several fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:

Christians, is it true that those who have died will be resurrected to get a second chance to be saved?

Update: I am not a Jehovah’s Witness, so what will happen to me when I die?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:  And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.  And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.  (Acts 24:  14-16, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Bridge To Heaven (01/27/2016); The Return to Dust? (06/14/2015); His Resurrection Still Relevant? (10/05/2014); The Testing of Job? (10/06/2014); A Guarantee of Heaven? (03/22/2014); The Bible is Unchanging? (03/23/2014); Genuine Repentance? (03/24/2014)

“Anonymous”, many mature Christian believers rely upon the holy writings for instruction on the divine process and purpose of resurrection from the dead.  Among such believers, the authority of the Scriptures is held to be “more correct” than that of the peculiar doctrine and practice specific to various denominations.  Here are some points from my understanding that you may find helpful:

1.  Because it is required both to complete the ongoing transformation of mankind to exist as an eternal companion of divinity, and further establish the lawfulness and righteousness of divine judgment for the wicked, resurrection is different from “raising the dead,” re-animation, or reviving the dead, where a person may stop breathing or have no heart beat for a short period.  This includes restoring persons maintained in long periods of unconsciousness such as comas and cryogenic states (i.e., frozen) as well as recovering persons from psychotropic drugs and continuous use of certain sedatives.  The mortal must put on immortality and incorruption.  Persons raised from the dead, such as Lazarus in Scripture, are alive again as only a temporary condition; and may go to their grave to be resurrected.  By contrast, persons in resurrection already have completed judgment, or are resurrected to immediately appear in judgment before divinity.

2.  The Scriptures proclaim two sacred events described as resurrection.  The first, spoken of as “the resurrection of the just, or justified ones,” will be at the appearing of Jesus Christ (many say, the Advent, the Rapture, the Second Coming).  All who are under the atoning, redeeming and saving blood of Jesus as having had faith, those who are thereby his disciples and followers, and those who are joint-heirs with the Son will be removed from the earth as “ripe” for harvest.   This includes the ones who are alive as well as those that must be recomposed from their grave after thousands of years, or other places of repose such as the sea, and areas where they have been scattered to by the wind in cremation.

3.  The second resurrection, spoken of as “the resurrection of the unjust” and “of the wicked,” will follow the one thousand year period wherein those from the first resurrection have lived with Christ in heaven.  The millennium is a time of further sacred works that include distributing allotments and populating the New Jerusalem, preparing for unbelievers and the wicked to appear alive in their own judgment tribunal, and preparing to be restored to the new earth that is to be the eternal dwelling place, not heaven.

You are encouraged to continue your studies of the Bible.  There is far more that could be said, must be carefully examined, and spiritually understood.  (For example, the second death that is the final destruction for created beings and living creatures condemned in sacred judgment will have begun before the second resurrection.  Satan, the false prophet, and others will have already been cast into the lake of fire, which is the second death.)  Even so, I am sure this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Discernment, election, a prayer made by the Son to the Father, and schism among believers are topics, today.  A fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Pyriform” (Level 7 with 48,417 points, a member since March 13, 2010) posted the following:

Why does it appear that Jesus’ prayer in John 17:20-21 failed?

“Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”

Since there are very many Christian denominations which are divided against each other (to the point of killing people, in the past), it is pretty clear that those who believe in Jesus are not as one, so it would seem that Jesus’ prayer failed. As he specified this as the criterion by which the world should judge that he was sent by the Father, why should we believe that he was?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:  And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them:  wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?  And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face:  And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him:  even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.  This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his company;  And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD to morrow:  and it shall be that the man whom the LORD doth choose, he shall be holy:  ye take too much upon you, ye sons of Levi.  And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi:   Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?  And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee:  and seek ye the priesthood also?  For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD:  and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him?  (Numbers 16:  2-11, KJV)

“Pyriform”, discernment is the ability to recognize the character and nature of spirit substance within events, other persons, purposes and statements.  Until they are born again through water baptism (death of ones inborn spirit, rebirth having divine DNA, so to speak) the living lack the fresh deposits of inseparable spirit substance from the makeup of GOD that are to be imparted to the followers of Jesus.  Included are faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, meekness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Discernment is essential to correctly acknowledge, apply, and comprehend the many subtle (i.e., barely visible differences; hidden shifts in meaning and value) points of sacred knowledge, and divine process.  It is only by operations of divinity that we our made aware of a private conversation (prayer) between the Father and the Son prior to his death upon the cross, the Holy Spirit (we also say, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth) being the only living person in witness.  Having discernment, mature Christian believers are able to “see” that, through operations of the Holy Spirit, blood, correction, and truth from the cross are flowing to here and now.  In the same way the promises of GOD to “all Israel” are answered by those who continue as a “remnant”, the church of Jesus Christ and the kingdom of GOD are achieved by those who are elect.  Simply put, we say, many are called, and few are chosen.  The genuine believers can be recognized on the basis of their spirit content and practice; however, they are to be known to the Father and Son, rather than to the World.  Consider again how these ideas are shared using language from the Bible:

(1.)  Isaiah 43:  9-11, King James Version (KJV):  9 Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled:  who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified:  or let them hear, and say, It is truth.  10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen:  that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he:  before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.  11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

(2.)  Acts 10:  40-42, KJV:  40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;  41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.  42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

(3.)  1st Corinthians 9:  24-25, KJV:  24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.  25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

There is far more that could be said, must be carefully examined, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  Matthew 13:  24-30, KJV:  24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:  25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.  26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.  27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?  28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?  29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.  30 Let both grow together until the harvest:  and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them:  but gather the wheat into my barn.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Freedom, idolatry, the celebration of Christmas, and use of the Christmas tree are topics, today.  Cultural arrogance, ethnicity, and racism are vain, and do not nourish the imparted, indwelling Spirit from GOD.  For mature Christian believers the birth of Jesus is acknowledged as the fulfillment of prophecy, divine proclamation, and sacred promise, therefore even African American believers count themselves free to celebrate understanding principles for living that come from GOD.  However, for developing believers—those recently born again, or continuing their gradual growth as being in sacred relationship—the observance of Christmas may appear as only a family custom, the expression of popular culture, or merely a longstanding social tradition.  Even so, such features as Santa Claus, fantasy, gift-giving, and folk tales to amuse and entertain do not convey an antichrist spirit as does apostasy, heresy, and slander.  Americans include those having root as Black sons of Canada, Haiti, Jamaica, Germany, and even Great Britain.  Christian worship among those of Black descent in America includes African Methodist Episcopal believers, Baptists, Catholics, Pentecostals, and Seventh Day Adventists.  Among the true disciples of Jesus, there are many devices, experiences and lessons that are to be used to foster cleansing, growth, healing and perfection.  Consider again the holy writings, and the points shared below:  Psalms 97:  9-12, King James Version (KJV):  9 For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth:  thou art exalted far above all gods.  10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil:  he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.  11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.  12 Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.  Also, 1st Corinthians 13:  8-12, KJV:  8 Charity never faileth:  but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.  9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.  10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.  11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child:  but when I became a man, I put away childish things.  12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:  now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Why does Black America celebrate Christmas when the bible Jeremiah 10:1-5 clearly tells the Israelites not to?

I understand the white edomites breaking GOD’s laws but the blacks who are the Israelite tribe of Judah need to wake up

Update:  To all the dumb edomites, you remember the song “silver & gold” song during Christmas?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people; (for he was above all the people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up:  And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands:  and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their faces to the ground.  Also Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law:  and the people stood in their place.  So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.  And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.  Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared:  for this day is holy unto our LORD:  neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.  So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved.  And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.  (Nehemiah 8:  5-12, KJV)

“yahoosucks”, Black Americans are now privileged to be in covenant with divinity through the new testament established in the blood of Jesus Christ.  While many accept a heritage as Jews and inclusion within spiritual (not national) Israel, few claim place as “Israelites”.  African Americans have always been a diverse aspect of this New World experiment in democracy and the hope of a homeland that is to be a “melting pot.”  The bias and ignorance that established and maintained chattel slavery of Africans began in Portugal (Europe) 50 years before Columbus sailed.  Africa then (as now) was an entire continent serving as home to multiple cultures, language groups, and those who were grounded as believers in many different systems for spiritual truth.  Black Africans were never all from one tribe, one nation, one region, or one religion.  Many were Islamic believers; some answered forms of shamanism; others had received some instruction in Christianity.  Nevertheless, all were initially dehumanized and maintained as “beasts of burden,” “darkies”, and “niggras”.  In somewhat the same way, Americans whose ancestry and origin are traced to Africa, have developed differently in accordance to the peculiar challenges of life in rural vs. urban settings, status as freeman or slave, East coast vs. the West, and Mid-west vs. Northwest America.

Today, African Americans practice spiritual disciplines that include Buddhism, Judaism, Mormonism, and Scientology.  All do not celebrate the birth of Jesus as the intercession of divinity for the deliverance of Creation from the shackles of sin.  Religious liberty is more than a political slogan in our lives; and, like the right to vote, pertains to the “quality of life” and self-esteem in ways that are fundamental.  The concepts of “equality” and “impartiality” are vital to the ideas of freedom and justice through law that are essential for stable nations.  More than this, commitment, conscience, and sacrifice—what we willingly give our lives to, or give up our lives for—is determined in response to a myriad of life conditions, challenges, goals, and opportunities.

All Black Christians do not acknowledge, praise, and reverence divinity the same way; nor do those who celebrate Christmas all do so the same way.  Blacks also may enjoy a “white Christmas” as do their neighbors across the Nation.  Customs and traditions vary like family life, home ownership, and the goals we set for our children.  As is true for all Christians everywhere, Black Christians vary in their level of knowledge, preparation, skills, and spiritual maturity.  The relationship to Deity through Jesus Christ—one faith, one Lord, one baptism, one God and Father of all—establishes Black Americans and all other Christians as having oneness (unity), rather than sameness.  Within the bounds and limits of new life through rebirth (the “law” some call self-discipline), believers all are free to pursue acquiring sacred knowledge, developing through fellowship with other believers, expressing personal devotion, maintaining sacred practices (we say, sacraments), continuing study of the holy writings, and pursuing congregational worship.

There are many other ideas that should be carefully considered, correctly understood, and made a part of ones own spiritual development, here.  (For example, many Black Americans have chosen Christianity as a way to express and satisfy their personal needs for affirmation, direction, and spiritual strength.  However, others accept Christian belief as a matter of their being chosen and put to work as instruments to accomplish divine and eternal purposes that are not their own.  These are in an ongoing process of permanent change and transformation that also alters how they perceive duty, their place in society, and their participation in both secular and religious traditions.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Continuing to acknowledge the 2015 visit to the United States of America, Washington, DC and the United Nations by Pope Francis, more points are shared, today, as cautions and encouragements to Christian believers.  The followers of Jesus Christ must not become distracted:  Our focus is not to be earthquakes, wars, and rumors of war; or the terrors of apocalypse, the great tribulation, and the end time.  All Christians should be preparing to greet the Savior at his coming to harvest the earth.  Those who present themselves as expert critics opposing Catholic belief often are deluded, harbor the antichrist spirit, and lack accurate and full sacred knowledge about the doctrines and teachings they claim to be anchored in from their own congregation or denomination.  Because their efforts derive from pride and not the Spirit demonstrated through the ministry of Jesus Christ, the academicians, critics and intellectuals pursue self-justification, self-promotion, strong feelings (e.g., anger, bitterness, guilt) and vainglory.  Seeking to avoid having to answer authority within the body, such persons do not apply themselves using the available mechanisms maintained by the church that are intended to ensure fresh ideas and inputs for correction, development and progress be rigorously examined, shared, then expressed by practical applications within the full body.  These self-appointed critics parrot and repeat the classical arguments against the church, the Scriptures, and the existence of divinity focusing upon mankind and the beggarly aspects of finite creatures.  Thereby, the naysayer fails to discern their attacks actually are upon the Spirit who has been sent as the agent of the Lord.  Consider the following and the points appearing below:  1st John 2:  17-19, King James Version (KJV):  17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof:  but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.  18 Little children, it is the last time:  and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.  19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us:  but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

THE BATTLE AXE:  Whatsoever Ye Shall Ask? (09/21/2015)—(7.)  Christ has commanded that the believer “watch and pray” remaining alert and vigilant until his appearing.  However, it is our natural tendency to become associated with and be bound to others upon the basis of shared complaints, hardship and suffering.  Because they approach us as family members, friends, and respected teachers, those who criticize and oppose the church of Jesus Christ have opportunities to introduce the poisonous beliefs and ideas more properly called “heresy” or “malice” than “personal opinion.”  We listen to speech that promotes condemning others; denying freedom, life, privilege and opportunity to others as well as talk advocating hatred and violence against others.  As the new creation of GOD, born again believers are to be increasingly judicious as they continue to grow again in the earth serving as ambassadors and spokespersons of Christ.  While believers will encounter the same life challenges as all others upon the earth, more and more, they are to respond with sacred knowledge, godly practices, and the standards for eternal life.  By caution, discipline and restraint, believers avoid delusion and the damage from “itching ears.”  Luke 9:  51-56, King James Version (KJV):  51 And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,  52 And sent messengers before his face:  and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.  53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.  54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?  55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.  56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

(8.)  The GOD we laud and serve is a god of Judgment, therefore, his name and reputation also are known through death, evil (i.e., calamity, catastrophe, natural disasters, upheaval), terrible punishments, and wrath against sin.  Responding to this, many among Protestant believers are swift as judges and executioners, yet, are quick to reject doctrine and teachings that promote government, hierarchy, and the peculiar forms of line authority that appear within the institutional church (e.g., bishops, deacons, elders, parents, etc.).  Going further, we also find, there is a class among believers who are overwhelmed with fear on the basis of things prophesied as well as uncertainty that derives from a focus upon their continuing status as a sinner that is now rendered inappropriate, irrational, and irrelevant through the blood of Jesus.  The response we are commanded to provide through Christ, says, I would have mercy, not sacrifice.  Believers are to display balance, compassion, discernment, maturity, and stability.  Yet, again and again, some exaggerate their understandings of current events, their causes, and their spiritual significance.  As a result, historical and political figures, and those gaining public favor are labeled and identified as the final and ultimate enemies to the faithful.  Thus, Napoleon, Adolf Hitler, Pope Francis, and even, Donald Trump, have come under condemnation as the Anti-christ figure spoken of in prophecy.  2nd Thessalonians 2:  1-4, KJV:  1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,  2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.  3 Let no man deceive you by any means:  for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;  4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

(9.)  Many are combative when they respond to other believers as though they are striving to protect the life of Jesus while he is dying upon the cross.  In their zeal, they insist upon declaring and quoting the holy writings, however, they dismiss the true character and nature of the Scriptures as the breath of life, a still small voice, and the word of GOD.  Such critics respond to declarations of faith from others as argumentativeness, deliberate insult, quarreling, and a questioning of their integrity.  These may not be seen as correctly in the Sprit of Christ, for humility is the mark of Christ upon a believer.   Hebrews 4:  12-13, KJV:  12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.  13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight:  but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

(10.)  In the same way unasked for explanations are called “excuses,” unasked for advice is called “meddling.”  A contract and agreement must be in place between a student and a teacher, where the guidance offered is acknowledged with meekness and respect.  When it is clearly welcomed, Catholic and Protestant believers may make inquiry or pose questions to gain new information; however, they should avoid displaying attitudes, behavior and conduct that come across as efforts to condemn the beliefs of others, show-off spiritual superiority (be holier than thou), and provoke quarrels.  For the believer words whisper, while actions shout; and instead of our activity and busyness, operations by the imparted Spirit of GOD are what accomplishes a person’s salvation.  2nd Peter 2:  9-11, KJV:  9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:  10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.  11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For the mystery of iniquity doth already work:  only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.  And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:  Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.  But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:  Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.  Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,  Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.  (2nd Thessalonians 2:  7-17, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Many Forms of Christianity? (04/30/2015); More About the Trinity? (03/30/2015); What To Say To A Friend?  (03/29/2015); On Christians Being Inclusive? (07/16/2014); War and Peace? There is far more to be considered, and carefully understood.  For example, (11.)  Despite surface differences among denominations, Christians all are under a single rule:  One faith, one Lord, one baptism, one GOD and Father of all.  Christ has not called for competition and friction; the call is that we operate in one Spirit, and judgment does not proceed apart from divinity, or solely upon the basis of standards from mankind.  Thus, where a person properly pursues their own commitment to Christ with their whole heart, there is no possibility of their becoming deceived by the Adversary.  Satan is to be recognized by his abuse of authority, covetousness, cruelty, disrespect, envy, haughtiness, irreverence, and selfishness. With mankind, acquiring sacred knowledge comes only by exchange, interaction, and process within the living among the inseparable aspects of full divinity they contain such as faith, forbearance, holiness, longsuffering, love, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Blamelessness, godliness, redemption, repentance and salvation are not the product of finite intellect, logic, philosophy, science and technology.  Men may only be deceived, then, where there is idolatry, spiritual confusion, and the worship of a false god who is not divine.  Condemnation of faith in others proceeds from carnal knowledge, and instances where flesh has been exalted above Spirit.  1st Corinthians 2:  9-16, KJV:  9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.  10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit:  for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.  11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.  12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.  13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:  for they are foolishness unto him:  neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.  15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.  16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
