Today, points are shared on the final destruction of sin, the Lake of Fire, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Instructions regarding the Lake of Fire are provided as admonition and prophecy (see again Haggai 1:  5-7, King James Version (KJV):  Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.  Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.  Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.).  The final removal of sin from the lives of created beings and living creatures will be accomplished by operations of the will of GOD.  The Lake of Fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, who are neither mortal nor immortal, yet, are vessels for spirit matter from divinity.  The elimination of sin will not occur through a single, one-time event.  There will be the examination and denial of power to every actor or object that lacks, opposes, and resists the will of the Almighty.  The names of those who are called, chosen, and faithful will be written in the Book of Life; and those whose names do not appear will be destroyed in the second death.  The fighter at “Yahoo! What aspect of the soul is flammable?

If none of it, why should I care about any supposed lake of fire?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened:  and another book was opened, which is the book of life:  and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.  And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them:  and they were judged every man according to their works.  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.  (Revelation 20:  11-15, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Fire From GOD? (06/22/2014); Destroying the Resurrected Body? “neil s”, mature Christian believers become concerned with the Lake of Fire as we pursue the goal of complete and correct sacred knowledge, and a commitment to be in constant reverence toward divinity.  As you already know, teachings on the Lake of Fire all pertain to apocalypse, judgment, and the final removal of sin.  Here are a few points that have helped many believers avoid error and spiritual confusion about those teachings and the Gospel of Jesus Christ:

(1.)  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and all things created that respond to divine order throughout the universe.  Sin is not a living entity, a material thing, or a process initiated by divinity.  Sin has not been created or called forth by GOD, and appears as an artifact (we say, by-product, scraps, waste) of independent existence and separation from Deity.  Sin is not concrete or tangible, yet, sin may dominate awareness and self-will within created beings and living creatures.

(2.)  Holy fire is that divine tool used in receiving offerings and sacrifices upon an altar, and is not to be considered the same as common fire upon the earth used to cook, destroy, or warm ones dwelling place.  At the same time blood, bone and flesh are consumed and transformed into ashes such divine substance may be lifted up to GOD as acknowledgement, atonement, gratitude, holiness, joy, obedience, praise, prayer, repentance, reverence, trust and truth.

(3.)  At the second coming, the Savior will appear to take to himself those who have made commitment as believers (we say, he will harvest the earth of those who are prepared, ready and ripe).  Consider again Matthew 25:  40-42, KJV:  40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.  41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:  42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat:  I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  Rightly understood, the Lake of Fire is a peculiar operation by the will of divinity to remove all abomination, antagonism, and corruption (we say, defiance, rebellion, sin, wickedness).  Nothing that resists the will of Deity is to have place in existence; and sin is defined as the disruption of divine order that results by the absence of divine content within the living demonstrated through their attitudes, behavior, and conduct.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, faith, jihad, judgment, and performing the duties of sacred law are topics.  Every legitimate public executioner is held accountable by principles expressed as law, and recognized by every sovereign nation.  More than this, no demand for monies are made that give off the stench of crime and extortion.  All believers must carefully examine those claiming to be “sent” who promote themselves as agents and representatives carrying out the will of Almighty GOD.  In divine judgment, it is the righteousness of GOD—not of mankind—that must appear.  The sacred process of judgment is demonstrated against chosen ones who are in service to GOD, rather than those being exalted by others like themselves.  Where what is shown the world is only condemnation, death, destruction, and self-righteousness, the supposed servants of GOD can be seen as merely presumptuous heathen, and rightly regarded as having no part with He who rules heaven, who provides eternal life.  A fighter at “Yahoo! When a muslim chops off your head in the name of islam, is he just misguided and not representative of the religion?

Should we not refer to him as muslim? What do we call all these muslims chopping everyone’s head off?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God:  the powers that be are ordained of God.  Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God:  and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.  For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:  For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain:  for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.  Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.  For for this cause pay ye tribute also:  for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.  Render therefore to all their dues:  tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.  Owe no man any thing, but to love one another:  for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.  For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  Love worketh no ill to his neighbour:  therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.  (Romans 13:  1-10, KJV)

“Michael Vick’s”, here are a few points now increasingly shared among Christian believers to counteract the terrible spread of ignorance about the true meanings of “duty” and “faith”:

(1.)  The term musleem (akin to “muslim” yet not the same) is understood as “being in total submission to GOD.”  The patriarch Abraham, acknowledged in the holy writings as “the Friend of GOD” also is revered as having been musleem.  Abraham established a spiritual inheritance for mankind as a covenant partner in relationship to the Creator.

(2.)  The holy writings teach that GOD used Israel as a tool in revelation to demonstrate divine authority, grace, and wrath against sin.  As surely as GOD created the armies of Israel using herders and keepers of livestock, because they lacked faith, he also denied them the place as those who would serve by populating the Promised Land.  Similarly, when King David wanted to build a Temple that would be the House of GOD, his status as a bloody warrior-king disqualified him.

(3.)  Where “faith” is understood as spirit matter that must be deposited within mankind from divinity, selected men may become recognized as those in covenant with GOD who serve as agents, apostles, imams, judges, prophets, representatives, rulers, and spokespersons provided by Deity.

(4.)  In the same way, law enforcement officers are not judges and jurists, those claiming status as soldiers and warriors are not legitimate as executioners who are lawfully appointed officers of the court (often mistakenly seen as corrections officers, that is, prison guards).  Similarly, soldiers are not used as clerics or workers of miracles (we say, sacred events), given the great danger of increasing spiritual confusion.

(5.)  Lawful agents of a community in covenant are authorized to apply sanctions against other members within the community, however, not to those who  are “outsiders”.  Such servants must make themselves openly known, yet, can appear “wearing the mask” to maintain their integrity as agents of the law who would come under attacks from those punished through the law.  The lack of regard for law and order on a broader scale that also acknowledges operations of GOD within other communities does not continue to manifest the higher purposes of GOD proclaimed by unity.

(6.)  Sin may not be eliminated or removed by finite human tools such as emotions, intellect, logic, mathematics, philosophy, pride, and science.  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and the universe that requires divine order grounded in law.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (7.)  Service in combat and open warfare are declared to be “the lesser jihad.”  The “greater jihad” is the pursuit of life and peace by service to establish and maintain community.  Thus, family life, marriage, and parenting are to be ranked as blessing, more godly, and having higher sacred value.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to the measure of your faith.

Divine judgment, eternal purpose, and justice are topics, today.  Also, there is more on recognizing works done “in faith.”  A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “fred” (Level 3 with 1,082 points, a member since December 06, 2013) posted the following originally asked on Yahoo Answers UK & Ireland:

Why doesn’t God stop the hearts of paedophile priests, guilty of abuse?

It would deal with the problem in the here and now.
It would stop further abuse from taking place.
It would prevent unnecessary suffering to those children affected.
It would send a clear message out to those thinking of doing the same.

Deferring judgement until after death is like giving a child a gun and letting him go around campus, unchallenged, killing anyone he wishes, until he gets bored or dies of natural causes, many, many years later.

Justice isn’t supposed to be on the side of the perpetrator, and against the victim.

THE BATTLE AXE:  Done in Faith? (03/06/2014)—(5.)  To act in faith is to answer promptings of the imparted, indwelling Spirit from GOD; to display the person and truth of GOD in Christ; and to yield to the operations generated by ones own measure of divinity.  Faith is to influence action, behavior, conduct, desire, thought, and all the process of relationship with GOD.  Thus, having faith is more than having self-confidence (we say, believing in oneself), or having a willingness to rely upon (we say, trust) persons who are familiar, or things that have been useful over time.  Faith may be understood as a peculiar form of law; and to act is faith is, therefore, to act in deliberate obedience to divine commandment and directive.  See Romans 14:  22-23 and 1st John 3:  1-11, KJV).

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.  He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:  Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant,  herewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?  For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord.  And again, The Lord shall judge his people.  It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.  (Hebrews 10:  26-31, KJV)

“fred” here are a few points on divinity and judgment that you may find helpful as a mature Christian believer:

1.  Wrath Against Sin.  The anger of GOD against sin is an ever-present, fixed, and permanent aspect of divinity, that interacts with, and is inseparable from all other divine content (such as faith, forgiveness, holiness, longsuffering, love, righteousness, and wisdom).  The full display and revelation of eternal perfection goes forward through operations of the Holy Spirit that also describe GOD as immutable (we say, unchanging), and having balance, completeness, impartiality, sobriety, and stability.

2.  Life the Process of GOD.  While death is GOD’s tool, life is GOD’s intent.  The operations of sin have required comprehensive processes for change that will minimize upheaval, and preserve divine order throughout the universe.  Death permits resurrection, rebirth, and sanctification that otherwise could not appear.  However, imparting spirit substance from the makeup of GOD can be the more effective, lasting, and powerful response to sin.  Sinners receive life that otherwise would not appear.  Through the ministry of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit further fulfills the eternal purposes of GOD as Creator, Maker, and Law Giver by continuing development, growth, learning, and repentance that must occur within frameworks of time and space.

3.  Justice the Process of Law.  Divine law (called, the expressed will of GOD) makes it possible for created beings and living creatures to identify and resist the operations of nonmaterial sin that remain invisible except through death, and damage to life.  For mankind, sin corrupts awareness and self-will, and so, justice is seen as a personal expression grounded in the mechanics of flesh (i.e., a display of appetite, sense, emotion, or intellect).   The aim of divine justice is to reaffirm and restore honor, integrity, and respect to sacred law, and the mechanics of divine substance.

There is a lot more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood that may not be presented, here, at this time.  (For example, (4.)  Judgment is Eternal.  Judgment is a constant and continuing aspect of divine being, and is not a one-time event.  The many features and levels of judgment go beyond punishment, and include correction, documentation (i.e., establishing the Book of Life), mercy, truth-finding, and witnessing.  In the final judgment described within Scripture, sinners do not answer charges made by any accuser.  All must answer their own record of deeds in life.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice:  for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.  (Matthew 9:  13, KJV)

Washington, DC

Recognizing when ones actions are “in faith” is the topic, today.  Also, there is more on whether refusing to forgive is sin.  The “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “HeLovesUsAll” (Level 4 with 3,197 points, a member since September 30, 2009) posted the following:

What makes a work (action) done in faith?

“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” (James 2:26) how does one know their actions are done in faith?

THE BATTLE AXE:  Wrong Not to Forgive? (03/05/2014)—(4.)  Just as blessing and cursing is conditional (we say, depends upon specifics of ones case) before GOD, divine forgiveness and wrath also appear as conditional.  Such interventions as absolution, atonement, confession, humility, repentance, propitiation, and sacrifice provide conditions that “turn away wrath.”  Anger (we say, divine wrath) against sin is an ever present, fixed, and permanent aspect of Almighty GOD.  For angels, mankind and other living creatures, anger appears through emotions and episodes (we say, comes and goes), and is temporal (is brief; does not last).  Divine wrath is held in check by divine love, and its dynamic interaction with other aspects of eternal divinity.  Thus, expressions of divine wrath also may be discerned as goodness, judgment, mercy, and righteousness.  In addition to admonitions, that we forgive as surely as we ask to be forgiven, Christian believers are commanded to “be angry” and sin not.  Anger that may justify vigorous action to call forth and establish justice does not of itself express the balance, impartiality, and thoroughness of the law.  More than this, human anger does not acknowledge, correctly portray, and respect the truth that only GOD Almighty is our perfect Avenger, Deliverer, Lawgiver, and Judge.  See Deuteronomy 30:  18-20, 2nd Chronicles 6:  34-39, Psalm 7:  10-12, Ezekiel 5:  11-15, Ephesians 4:  25-27 and James 1:  19-20, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,  Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law:  for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.  But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.  For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.  For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.  I am crucified with Christ:  nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:  and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.  I do not frustrate the grace of God:  for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.  (Galatians 2:  15-21, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Mustard Seed Faith? (01/16/2014); The Judges Who Condemned Jesus? (01/17/2014); Sin in Mind not Deed? (01/06/2014); Life Choices (12/14/2013); That Mortal Children Die? “HeLovesUsAll” here are a few points intended to make faith stronger that Christian believers should also consider:

(1.)  Faith is an aspect of divinity that exists with other inseparable features within the divine makeup such as holiness, longsuffering, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Believers now receive the same sacred substance that continues in Jesus Christ through baptism (we say, death and rebirth).

(2.)  Discernment is the ability to recognize spirit matter in actions, events, persons, and purposes by using the spiritual things given from GOD.  Spiritual knowledge from the holy writings are an important tool for choosing, examining, judging, and furthering the genuine nature of things in human experience—whether they will be animal, human, or divine.

(3.)  For carnal beings (those in flesh) appetite (such as hunger, thirst, craving for sexual contact), sense (such as hearing, seeing, tasting, touching), and emotional/mental functions (such as dreams, imagination, reason, and recall) may dominate awareness and self-will, as may sin, or the imparted, indwelling Spirit from GOD.

There is a lot more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood that may not be presented, here, at this time.  (For example, (4.)  Works done in faith all present aspects of the Holy Spirit.  Included may be comfort, forbearance, forgiveness, gratitude, humility, joy, love, longsuffering, prophecy, sacrifice, truth, and zeal.  Works we call faithful (full of faith) acknowledge duty, express commitment, and continue the ministry of Jesus Christ described in the scripture records.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid:  yea, we establish the law.  (Romans 3:  31, KJV)

Washington, DC

Today, there is more on discernment, and recognizing divine wrath.

THE BATTLE AXE:  Recognizing Divine Wrath (02/26/2014)—It is the process of GOD to use events, flesh, interaction, and relationships among mankind to make visible divine intent and eternal purpose.  GOD is using flesh and material substance to make Spirit visible where divinity otherwise could not be known.  For many, judgment against sin and divine wrath are only recognized when appearing as plagues (we say, the punishment of Egypt), or evil (i.e., calamity, disaster, upheaval, violence).  Disfavor with GOD also appears as drought, epidemic disease, hardness of heart, hail, indecisiveness, spiritual confusion, and widespread unbelief.  Death and the completion of mortality are now aspects of the life process for mankind within the earth; and so are understood as features of the material and natural world.  Where the carnal mind (we say, flesh) and sin dominates awareness and self-will the features of appetite, fear, and pain are exalted as the mechanisms of divine control and power.  The rule of GOD that is by love and the force of truth is mistakenly thought to depend upon gifts (we say, bribes) and bullying (we say, the sword and warfare).  See Deuteronomy 29:  58-63, Psalms 9:  16-20, Zechariah 14:  17-19 and James 4:  1-3, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;  But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.  But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.  For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.  For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.  We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;  Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;  Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.  For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.  (2nd Corinthians 4:  1-11, KJV)

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Apocalypse and eternal life are considered, today.  Also, there is more on the fullness of GODhead.  A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “micky” (Level 1 with 113 points, a member since January 07, 2014) posted the following:

THE BATTLE AXE:  The Fullness of GODhead? (01/09/2014)—Many Christian believers understand the shared identity and unity for the three persons of divine GODhead is a matter of congruence and correspondence, rather than sameness.  There is a “division of labor” without dissolution and separation.  While each conveys presence through uniquely recognizable patterns, and may appear to operate as if having independent existence, all affirm, complete and perfect one another through hierarchies of divine interaction, eternal purpose, and sacred works.  Thus, the oneness of GOD is in no way diminished by the fact that Creation and Incarnation are by the active agency of the Son and the Spirit; salvation through the Father and the Son; repentance, rebirth, and sanctification are of the Spirit; judgment of the quick and the dead is by the Son.  See John 5:  22, Hebrews 1:  1-4, John 17:  14-24 and 1st John 5:  7-12, King James Version.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,  Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,  That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;  That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,  May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;  And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,  Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.  Amen.  (Ephesians 3:  14-21, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The World Passeth Away (11/12/2013); The Earth Made New (11/13/2013); Hierarchy (11/14/2013); The Place for Eternal Life? (01/06/2013); Therefore There Was Trust (01/07/2013); Like a Thief? (12/01/2013); Only While We Live? (12/02/2013); Doom (09/20/2012); Contradictions? (09/21/2012)

“micky”, here are a few points Christian believers have received and hold to as a basis for hope, joy, and strength to meet any crisis:

(1.)  And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?  (Matthew 24:  3, King James Version, KJV)

The world is not going to end; sin is.  The Creation of GOD is to be eternal and everlasting.  The world will exist within the divine presence, and GOD will abide within the world with mankind (see Matthew 28:  20 and Revelation 21:  1-5, KJV).

(2.) I will punish the world for its evil, the wicked for their sins. I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty and will humble the pride of the ruthless.  (Isaiah 13:  11, New International Version, NIV)

Mankind and the world that now is the sphere for human existence are undergoing alterations and changes that will completely eliminate sin as an influence upon created beings and living creatures.   There are multiple divine operations and sacred events to be completed in a process for divine transformation whereby mankind will become immortal and incorruptible.  Heaven and earth are being made new.  (see Isaiah 65:  17, Isaiah 66:  22 and 2nd Peter 3:  1-5, KJV).

(3.)  And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.  (Matthew 24:  14, NIV)

Various preparations are going forward among believers for the second coming of Jesus (many say, Advent).  Included are the preaching of the Gospel; applying holy blood for atonement; cleansing of the Temple in heaven; and investigative judgment for those who will be received as Christ’s harvest from the earth.

(4.)  Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.  (Revelation 3:  10, NIV)

Those who acknowledge redemption and salvation by the ministry of Jesus Christ will be shielded, protected, and even removed from the earth, and will not endure all the destruction and hardship that must occur as the judgment of GOD against sin.

There is far more to be said, properly shared, and spiritually understood.  (For example (5.)  He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life:  and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.  (John 3:  36, KJV)

Eternal life has already begun for believers in Jesus.  For such, death and completing ones mortality is compared to sleep, and is only a temporary pause in existence, not an end or finish.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  (John 3:  16, KJV)

Today, I share some points on divine pleasure in judgment, prophecy, and punishment of children.  Also, there is more on traditional marriage.  A writer at “Yahoo! Does God enjoy watching children be torn to bits by wild bears?

Elisha left Jericho to go to Bethel and on the way some boys came out of a town and made fun of him. “Get out of here, Baldy!” they shouted.Elisha turned around, glared at them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. Then two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two of the boys to pieces.”
2 Kings 2:23-24

THE BATTLE AXE:  Traditional Marriage? (12/18/2013)—(5.)  As a tool of the world, marriage is a legal contract to establish common property for couples who agree to cohabit as well as to divide and dispose of property at their separation.  Arranged marriages are found only among those having long-term presence through land and property ownership, having financial security, and having wealth.  Additionally, marriage provides for the receipt and disposition of property as ones inheritance from ones parents, and other deceased persons.  For this reason, bastards, those born out of wedlock, and those born in poverty receive little or no instruction regarding marriage; and these often do not marry, preferring to cohabit in temporary relationships (e.g., common-law marriage, living or moving-in together, or shacking up), where there is less emphasis upon duties for legacies and property rights.  More than this, the poor and undereducated often do not regard marriage as a divinely provided opportunity to create wealth, initiate an inheritance, or to provide memorial to their own living deeds.  (6.)  Using understandings generated by the world, many now hold that marriage has always been only for purposes of fulfilling and “legitimating” the animal aspects of human existence:  ones emotions, lusts, passions, carnal desires, and sexual appetite.  It is foolish, they say, “to put all of ones eggs in one basket” (that is, exclusively to hope, rely upon or trust a single person or relationship for regular and continuing support).  With this in view, many alternatives to marriage now appear; and are promoted as “more honest;” more correctly accountable; a more necessary and realistic display of ones inner feelings and genuine integrity; and, more productive of lasting happiness and sexual freedom as well as true love.  (7.)  As a tool of GOD marriage is a sacrament, or sacred practice that expresses, maintains and nourishes spirit content from divine person, and continues relationship to GOD through Jesus Christ.  Spiritual joining in marriage is not merely by intercourse and sexual intimacy; it is by operations of the Holy Spirit.  Marriage may begin with a young man proposing to a woman—not asking her permission, rather, asking her acceptance, her commitment.  He will ask permission of his own and her parents only where he realizes and understands that the joining of their person also is the joining of their families.  Together they will ask permission from GOD only where they understand themselves in relationship through Christ as agents and representatives of his sacred community, the church, who serve as  evangelizers, parents, teachers, spokespersons, stewards and vessels for the imparted, indwelling Spirit of GOD.  Surely, the miracle of water to wine in the wedding at Cana is also the transformation of spirit for marriage from that of the earth to that from heaven.  (8.)  Along with invisible, spirit substance from GOD, marriage is also widely respected as a device to address invisible, secular substance from mankind.  Through marriage society addresses, maintains and promotes various intangible aspects of human relationships such as chance, chastity, compatibility, dignity, feelings, family history, honor, jealousy, maternal instinct, reputation, respect, romance, tradition, trust, and virginity.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.  He is the LORD our God:   his judgments are in all the earth.  He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.  Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;  And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:  Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:  When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.  When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;  He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;  Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.  (Psalms 105:  6-15, KJV)

“The Supreme Llama”, GOD enjoys giving meaningful answers to those showing right respect to divine love and sacred truth.  Here are a few points readers should consider that are regularly shared among mature Christian believers:

(1.)  GOD is a spirit who must be known and made visible through operations, processes, and purposes that are displayed through created beings and living creatures.

(2.)  The living must rely upon their own endowment of divine substance from the person of GOD to recognize (we say, discern) the divine aspects of objects and events presented in their experience.  Included are such inseparable features as awareness, faith, holiness, longsuffering, will, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

(3.)  Sin is an artifact of separation from GOD, is contrary to all existence and life, and is no living thing.  Sin is not a material or physical object, has no spirit content, and is not created by GOD.  Yet, sin has direction, effect, and presence; and may dominate and influence awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures.  Without the array of divine operations and provisions, sin can not be detected as contrary to ones own being and person, or recognized as a foreign and strange element that is not truly part of oneself.  Repeatedly, the living operate under sin regarding it as “child’s play,” innocence, natural, and normal.

(4.)  The presence that is sin may become known through actions and words; and all behavior and conduct among children and adult humans does not show sin as defiance, disrespect, and irreverence.  However, all behavior and conduct generated under the influence of sin does oppose the continued existence of divine law, divine person, and all Creation.  Given that sin is no created or godly “thing”, and the created can not eliminate and eradicate sin, there must be a sweeping renewal of all Creation to remove all sin.

There is far more to be said, correctly shared, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (5.)  Before anyone may fully understand the threat to the universe posed by a roaming gang of cruel, disobedient boys attacking a prophet (who is outnumbered 40 to 1), they would have to have a broader, deeper understanding of judgment, justice, mercy, and salvation.  Where GOD intervenes, surely, it is to carry out those tasks that may only be completed through divine power and presence, such as protecting those not present, those unborn, and others unseen.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.  Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do:  and the God of peace shall be with you (Philippians 4:  8-9, KJV).

Divine anger against mankind because of the crucifixion, and the Gospel of divine love are topics, today.  A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Mike” (Level 3 with 1,261 points, a member since March 29, 2012) posted the following originally asked on Yahoo Answers United Kingdom:

Has ‘God’ given up on mankind for the Killing….?

of his one and only son. for which i might add he did not intervene to save him..does this mean god is totally Evil, in fact he’s so evil, that satan went into retirement as he just couldn’t top that evil act….standing by and watching your son get KILLED,.

Is god EVIL and Abandoned the human race, abandoned as he was about on a daily basis 2000 years ago and then pooooof, he watched his son get KILLED and decided he’d had enough as there has been no sight or sound of him since…explain that.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,  And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?  Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:  The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.  And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.  (Matthew 11:  2-6, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Divine Love Revealed? (10/02/2013); Law A Schoolmaster (10/03/2013); Dying in Terror and Joy? (09/28/2013); Animals Do Not Sin? (09/29/2013); Jesus Lives! “Mike”, every Christian believer asks that same question (maybe not the same way, though); and none feel they have a complete and proper answer until they truly begin to discover the truth of divine love.  I can only share a few points, here, that have been helpful to most Christian believers:

(1.)  To know the love of GOD, there are so many changes we have to make in how we think, reason, and behave that, when we attempt to fully understand the things specially provided to us by GOD intended to help us know him as he is, Christians have been taught to say, “we must be born again.”  Our entire approach to reality is to be permanently altered by our receiving of divine substance; therefore we say, a person must have the Holy Spirit:  GOD bestows a portion of his own eternal content and “makeup” (so to speak) whereby believers may recognize and begin to understand divine events and sacred purposes.  Through divine operations in baptism, the person “born again” is given inseparable material including faith, holiness, joy, love, truthfulness, wisdom and wrath against sin.  Moreover, born again, the believer must gradually “grow up” again (and that includes the challenge of “growing pains”).

(2.)  The experience of coming into right relationship with GOD also involves accepting accountability for spiritual duties, for correct recognition of the awesomeness of GOD (some say, fear of the Lord), for continual recognition of divine presence, for demonstrating and displaying the righteousness of divine law, and for heartfelt acknowledgment of GOD (we say, worship) expressing gratitude, humility, and respect.

There is far more to be said, reasonably shared, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (3.) What is the good news about GOD a person would like to hear:  that there is forgiveness?  that there is love?  that there is a promise of life?  Believers who are trusting GOD also are sharing that very “good news” (we say, Gospel).  When first presented to us from others like ourselves (instead of from angels), the Gospel may seem foolish, illogical, impossible and unbelievable for it presents truth that is otherwise invisible to finite created beings and living creatures.  Multiple divine operations, sacred events and eternal truths are being presented that reveal the sure and certain love of GOD to mankind.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.  Jesus will return.

Today, there is more on the account of Jesus cursing a barren fruit tree.

THE BATTLE AXE:  The Barren Tree? (12/06/2013)—Examining the earthly ministry of Jesus, the incident of the fig tree may be seen as no different from that of his first miracle performed during the wedding at Cana of Galilee (see John 2:  1-11, KJV), the Savior stilling the tempest as he crossed the Sea of Galilee with his disciples (Mark 4:  36-41, KJV), or the exorcism for a young boy at the request of his father following the Savior’s transfiguration (Mark 9:  14-30, KJV).  Jesus exercised divine authority to alter elemental substance and material reality.  The natural world (we say, nature) that serves as the environment and habitation for mankind continually displays patterns and regularities that emerge through mechanical processes, that appear to created beings and living creatures as a form of divine law (we say, the carnal mind).  Yet, nature is generated and endures through direct operations of sovereign will (we say, the law of GOD).  Thus, it is properly the work of science to declare the chemical makeup and process of mankind by its research upon DNA; however, science must acknowledge that human makeup is more than simply a collection of chemicals.  There are fixed limits to science that do not allow its address to the aspects of humanity we call being, life, person, and spirit.  Going further, what mankind calls a “miracle,” is not, in fact, a lawless or random occurrence.  Miracles are sacred events, and therefore, display operations of divine will consistent with such divine utterances as commands, proclamations, promises, and prophecies. While all miracles are by changes and shifts of faith, all faith does not arise by miracles.  Jesus used the incident of cursing the fig tree to further instruct his disciples regarding faith and prayer.  However, the incident also serves as a parable that depicts the wrath of GOD against sin, the swiftness and completeness of final judgment, and the righteousness of GOD in judgment despite the removal of compassion, longsuffering and mercy.  See Romans 8:  5-8, Isaiah 34:  1-5, Luke 8:  25 and Mark 11:  20-26, KJV; also Job 15:  30-34, NIV.

There is far more to be said, reasonably shared, and spiritually understood.  The existence of believers around the world, and a full gospel that is to be proclaimed in the earth are continuing evidence for divine intent that the whole earth be alive, fruitful, filled with divine light, and free of every curse.  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

A parable is used, today, to share points on the fall of Adam and Eve.  Also, there is more on knowledge of GOD among the holy angels.  A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “william” (Level 2 with 354 points, a member since September 30, 2013) posted the following originally asked at Yahoo Answers United Kingdom:

Why did god get so cross when adam and eve ate an apple?

I mean seriously it’s not like the raped or murdered anybody
if he didn’t want them to eat it he shouldn’t have put the tree of knowledge in the garden of eden

THE BATTLE AXE:  Does Satan Know? (11/06/2013)—The holy angels appear as divine instruments and spokespersons in prophecy; and may appear in forms that exhibit animal features, geometric polygons, or beings that fly using wings (see Ezekiel 10:  6-22, Genesis 28:  10-17 and Revelation 14:  6-12, KJV).  Confronting Jesus in the wilderness, Satan could not recognize the Son of GOD as someone he had seen before in the celestial presence, and so challenged Jesus to “appear” in his form as Son of the Highest.  Similarly, Satan came into the presence of Jesus, however, not in celestial form.  With this in view, believers are always wise to “try the spirits” (see Matthew 4:  1-11, Hebrews 1:  1-14, 2nd Corinthians 11:  13-15, 1st John 4:  1-6 and Revelation 22:  8-9, KJV).

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.  For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.  Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.  And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:  For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.  If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?  But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.  Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence:  shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?  For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.  Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous:  nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.  (Hebrews 12:  1-11, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Why Jesus Used Parables (11/03/2013); Denying Baptism to Others (11/04/2013); Balaam (10/15/2013); About Sabbath (10/16/2013); Freewill is Finite (06/30/2013); GOD Intervenes? “william”, here is a parable making a few points that help Christian believers understand the account of Adam (the single name given by GOD to both the male and female who existed before the Almighty as a single person):

Dad brought home a lovely box of assorted chocolate candies for mom on Valentine’s Day.  In celebration, she allowed each of her three little charges to choose from the assortment.  The next day, while she was out shopping, one of her boys decided he would have a sweet; so he went into mom’s room looking for the candies.  He reasoned that, she loved him so much she would want him to take freely of what dad had provided.  Besides, there were so many, she would still have plenty left.  He would only sniff out the mints; she probably would not miss one (or two); and, should she become angry, no one would ever trace the deed to himself were he careful to leave no trace of his having been there, and wash any residue from his hands.  After some searching, he found where the candies were “hidden” (i.e., stored to keep from melting, spoiling, etc.), carefully lifted the lid of the box, removed two stunners, and tried to carefully replace the tissues and wrapping paper as though they had not been disturbed.

Later, upon her return, mom went to her chocolates and found the box had been rifled.  She called the children to her, and asked what had gone on.  After several minutes of awkward denials and protestations of innocence, the matriarch “arbitrarily” declared that all would be on punishment (we say, lock down) until she would be told the truth concerning the “harmless” prank.  The children were sent to their room, where a pair of them insisted the culprit surrender himself.  As they heard their mother crying from her room, the innocents tried to explain why the game was up; that mom could see the stain of chocolate on his tongue, like they had done, and could smell the mint on his breath.

The mother could have taken the chocolates with her, or eaten them all; and could have avoided leaving the candies as if bait or something to deliberately entrap her children.  Surely she knew, even from her own experience as a child, what could happen to luscious chocolates left unguarded.  Knowing her own children, she should have realized whether they all (or who would be the lone suspect that) might yield to appetite, and seek to gobble a treat from her treasure trove.  Had the offense remained only a simple filching of chocolates (i.e., taking what belongs to someone else without authority and permission—we say, stealing), the outcome might not have been a personal breakdown, maternal heartache and weeping.  No less important than a theft of unguarded chocolates, there also had been covetousness, deception, disrespect, dissembling, greed, impatience, lying, passive aggression, presumption, pretext, separation, trespassing into ones private space, and violation of trust.  A “hate crime” had been committed in the home.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  I trust this fragment will be useful.  Even so, be it unto you according to your faith.  Jesus is coming.  Grow in grace.
