Lying, sin and spiritual growth are topics, today.  The “Yahoo! Answers” fighter using as ID “DiscipleofSatan” (Level 3 with 2,409 points, a member since September 18, 2014) posted the following:

What shall we as Christians do about liars?

In the church I go to there seems to be liars. Some talk about having sex after marriage. Some talk about how successful they are in faith. Some even think its OK to worship in public. Now at least im honest about my position. How can a Christian lie?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:  for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.  And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.  And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:  for the former things are passed away.  And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write:  for these words are true and faithful.  And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:  which is the second death.  (Revelation 21:  1-8, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Sinless Until Advent? (11/05/2014); Holy Wars? (11/06/2014); All Lying Forbidden? (03/04/2014); Wrong Not to Forgive? (03/05/2014); Everything a Lie? “DiscipleofSatan”, the name you’ve chosen to be known by suggests that you yourself are not yet born again, and established within the kingdom of new life.  Even so, here are a few points that should be considered by all who value correct spiritual knowledge:

(1.)  Before a sinner arrives at readiness to receive baptism (i.e., death of ones inborn spirit, burial, and rebirth having fresh spirit content from the makeup of Christ), there are many challenges and obstacles they must first encounter and overcome.  By the natural processes of the flesh, reproduction, and social interaction, all are first born having a nature responsive to sin as well as to divinity.  For many, sin appears to be a normal and necessary aspect of humanity, and does not fully impress their conscience or intellect as alien, contrary, and foreign to the Creation of GOD.

(2.)  By our godly standards, sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, of the Law Giver, and of all divine order established through sacred law.  Sin is no living thing, and itself has no carnal or material form that may be measured (e.g., height, length, weight).  Yet, sin has direction, effect, and presence.  As an artifact or residue of the conditions before Creation, sin operates as corruption, death, decay and rot.  Sin functions as though invisible and unseen, yet, may dominate awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures.

(3.)  The Scriptures teach, all have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD.  Once born again, all must mature again, so to speak; and everyone in the church will not be at the same stage of development until Christ appears in the Advent.  Liars are no different than other sinners.  The divine standard is high; and the living are made perfect (i.e., balanced, complete, mature, stable) only through deposits, endowments and gifts of spirit content having divinity.  Mankind has been provided with tools to recognize and resist sin (e.g., covenant, discernment, family, forgiveness, law, the Holy Ghost), yet, sin may not be eliminated and removed through such human devices as algebra, competition, feelings, intellect, logic, mathematics, and science.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Believers are to realize their task is not to change, critique, and re-create others.  Showing humility and respect, they help and support others who choose to change in accordance with the operations of GOD in their life.  Believers are not seeking authority and power over others; and are to allow others and themselves to be permanently changed by GOD, who is to have all authority and power.  Believers are to share sacred knowledge gained by contemplation, fellowship with those who are committed to Christ, prayer, reflection, and study of the holy writings.  Believers are to acknowledge, affirm, and further nourish the spiritual growth they see in others.  Saying this another way:  Mature believers are sent to minister the Gospel, not to be ministered unto.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

More points are presented today on the tongue, prophecy, slander, and sacred utterance.

THE BATTLE AXE:  A Slip of the Tongue (09/17/2014)—(5.)  Those who appear declaring the word from GOD are called heralds, messengers, prophets, spokespersons, and those who are sent.  Those who slander others are called accusers of the brethren, agents of the devil, and those sent by the Adversary (Satan).  The divine provision granted the Jewish people was one of balance through impartial, unchanging holy writings, called the law, and living agents sent from GOD in the flesh.  Together these were the law and the prophets.  By the time Jesus was born, multiple customs and traditions were in place that exalted the truth of law from GOD through a divine covenant, yet, promoted a broad range of human interpretations for application of the law and recorded prophecy that did not correctly reveal divine intent, ongoing sacred operations, and the eternal purposes of GOD.  So to speak, the active presence of GOD was being hidden and overshadowed by human overlays upon both prophecy and sacred law.  Because prophecy included criticism of, and opposition to the princes among the people (e.g., elders, priests, kings, and prophets) many of those sent were persecuted and destroyed as traitors, enemies of the covenants, and corrupters of both the existing government and religious practice.  Jesus was executed upon the cross after being charged with blasphemy; and while this continued a peculiar tradition among the Jews, it rejected truths that were at the foundation of their system for belief.  Included were the existence of GOD as pure spirit, the appearance of GOD using flesh (we say, incarnation), proclamations by GOD through actions without words (we say, prophetic demonstrations), and the authentication of divine word through signs (we say, sacred events, miracles, or wonders).

(6.)  Many continue to spread errors and misrepresent the doctrines and teachings of Jesus on the basis of ignorance, rather than malice.  Blasphemy and slander against Christ have increased as never before.  Those who lack correct knowledge of sacred truth often attack and oppose the Gospel.  Failing to grasp that there must be sacred law for divine order to exist throughout the universe, many think all law ended at the cross.  The covenant of Moses (called, the law), was modified, and new terms of continuing relationship with divinity were introduced by Jesus.  There has been no cancellation of divine law; there has been no elimination of sin identified through the device of law; there has been no end of hierarchy discounting all differences for clergy and other believers, making all equal without regard to their experience, knowledge or works; and there has been no suspension of accountability, duty, obligation, and responsibility among believers.  For those born again through baptism (death of ones inborn spirit nature, rebirth having the Holy Spirit), fellowship and study are vital to avoid recurring errors; and there absolutely must be clear, direct, plain, and respectful communication among those within the body of believers.

(7.)  While divine administration relies upon commandment, public demonstrations, and official proclamations, the Gospel is to be spread primarily through intimate and personal exchange.  Thus, important sacred tools for revealing the active presence of GOD are seen to be confession, faith, forbearance, forgiveness, humility, joy, longsuffering, praise, prayer, and prophecy (i.e., comfort, edification, exhortation).  Because, faith comes by hearing, face-to-face encounter, sharing in the home, working together in practical tasks, and fellowship within a community of faith are often more fruitful than solitary, scholarly study of the Holy Scriptures.  Experiences of shared awareness, personal and interpersonal growth as well as commitment, stability and trust are vital to the realization of ones salvation and new life in Christ.  See again Matthew 5:  16-18, 1st Corinthians 11:  24-26, 2nd Corinthians 3:  1-18, Romans 10:  1-21 and Ephesians 5:  1-21, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:  for they are foolishness unto him:  neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.  (1st Corinthians 2:  12-14, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Revealed As If Unto Babes? (09/04/2014); Chosen To Serve As Prophets (01/01/2014); Lawful Revenge? (01/02/2014); Should I Speak? (12/13/2013); Life Choices (12/14/2013); Why Jesus Used Parables (11/03/2013); Denying Baptism to Others (11/04/2013); Jesus and the Pharisees (07/14/2013); How Could Angels Fall? (07/15/2013)

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (8.)  Christians are in service to divinity only where they speak in the name of Jesus; where they make Jesus visible as an appearance or incarnation of the Lord; where they proclaim the doctrine from the Father; where they cleanse, nourish and protect the flock of GOD; and where they are in submission on the Savior’s behalf.  Anything else is cheap talk, foolishness, ones personal opinions, self-promotion, the ramblings of an hireling, and vanity (i.e., expressions that are empty, lacking Spirit from GOD, unfruitful, unproductive).  Born again, believers must “grow up” again, and mature as spirit-filled persons.  Believers are disciplined and trained by the Holy Spirit to regularly give and recognize sacred utterance.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, some points are shared on blasphemy, gossip, misrepresentation, slander, and how one may recover after making unfortunate statements.   A “Yahoo! Answers” fighter using the ID “Ker!” (Level 2 with 303 points, a member since March 11, 2008) posted the following:

Said something I shouldn’t?

Hi;
I was talking to some people this morning about a vicar and happened to slip up and mention that they said before how they weren’t so much a believer.. They was more Atheist than a believer and believed more in the words of the bible …

Those whom I was talking too happened to be members of the church and I apologised and said it was a misunderstanding on my part as I don’t like to gossip and to please not to think I’m trying to besmirch the vicars name (even though he did actually say to me that he was more Buddhist in his beliefs)

Now I feel so guilty that they were a little shocked and I asked them to please not repeat this and I apologised again for speaking out of turn without thinking..

But I’m just very angry at myself for slipping up as I do always try to keep myself to myself and don’t usually put my foot in my mouth …

I don’t know what to do now. I feel awful…

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone:  if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.  But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.  And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church:  but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.  Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven:  and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.  Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.  For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.  (Matthew 18:  15-20, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Blasphemy Against the GODhead (05/06/2014); Offenses to GODhead (05/07/2014); A Kindness to Mary? (04/21/2013); When GOD Controls? (04/22/2013); When Does Gossip Become Sin? “Ker!”, here are a few points from a Christian believer that are based upon teachings of the Bible that should be useful to you:

(1.)  In the same way GOD has spoken being and life into presence, angels, mankind, and other created beings may alter and influence Creation through utterance (we say, breath, spirit, word).  The Scriptures admonish, life and death are in the power of the tongue.

(2.)  The use of words to belittle or berate another person’s character and quality as a human being is also an attack upon their spirit substance from GOD.  Words turned against GOD, are called blasphemy and lies.  Words turned against others, particularly when they are absent (we say, behind their back), are called slander.  In the dictionary, meaning for the word “devil” often appears as “one who slanders.”  Jesus warned his enemies about blasphemy against the Holy Spirit as the one sin that will not be forgiven, when his critics said he performed miracles with the help of devils.

(3.)  Observe a rule:  Talk to people, not about people (as you have done here).  What I may not say to their face, I will not say in their absence.  The point of coming together to talk is so I will have a chance to listen.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  You might be able to feel better after you send a brief note to the vicar where you mention your embarrassment; ask for clarification of his earlier statements; ask for a meeting where both your beliefs and opinions may be freely expressed; or state and ask his permission to share your understanding of his ideas.  Your engaging the vicar in a thoughtful manner can edify and further benefit the entire congregation.  You might even ask he make a presentation to the small group you were with, or share his ideas on behalf of Christ with the entire congregation.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Focus, today, is upon the charge that GOD has abandoned mankind.  A “Yahoo! Answers” fighter using the ID “Ben” (Level 1 with 90 points, a member since June 22, 2014) posted the following:

Has god abandoned us?

Why has god abandoned us? Now im not saying i dont believe in god but why doesnt he show himself to us when now of all time we need him most? We cant see touch smell or hear him. So how am i supposed to believe hes there? And if we abandoned him, why doesnt he try again? I mean if he loves us so much yet he doesnt try to communicate with us.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.  And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?  And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calleth Elias.  And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down.  And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.  And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.  And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.  (Mark 15:  33-39, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Jesus Scourged (04/05/2014); Brothers, Not Equals (04/06/2014); A Worthy Miracle? (04/07/2014); GOD Angry With Us? (12/08/2013); So We Could Have Life? (12/09/2013); To See With New Eyes (11/06/2012); A Life Companion? (11/07/2012)

“Ben”, here are a few points to consider that are aspects of the full divine panorama that comes into view through the cross.

1)  The idea that creation, mankind, or those in covenant with GOD have been denied and rejected by the Almighty has been revealed as an accusation in judgment (we say, charges, indictment) against divinity made by one who is a betrayer, a deceiver, and a false witness.  The claim that GOD has not fulfilled promise, has not maintained integrity within covenant, and, therefore, is faithless and unrighteous has been “nailed to the cross” in Jesus Christ, and destroyed for all eternity through glorious resurrection.

2)  Created beings and living creatures having their own measure of awareness and self-will (we say, sentient beings) only “know” the existence of GOD by applying and focusing their own content of divinity.  Discernment (ability to use ones own spirit content to recognize and respond to spirit content within such features of life experience as events, messages, persons, promises, purposes, and utterances) must be developed through continual practice.  GOD is a spirit, and the intent, operations, and eternal process of GOD is displayed without interruption through spiritual things.

3)  The cry made by Jesus while yet upon the cross was in the nature of acknowledgment, appeal, and intercessory prayer.  More than simply physical pain, Jesus endured an agonizing transformation wherein he became an embodiment of all non-material, non-spirit sin from the living and the dead throughout Creation—from those among the angels to Adam, to those of the present day, to those who will be on the earth at the Second Coming.  And that’s what’s so serious about it.

Pace yourself.  There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  For example, 4)  The process of GOD for salvation simultaneously employs flesh and Spirit.  Many trust that GOD has appeared using human form (we say, incarnation) as a distinguishing sacred event (we say, miracle).  However, the things of salvation pertain to eternal life, impact the entire universe, and are not limited to the sphere of the earth.  Through baptism (death of ones inborn nature, rebirth from divine DNA so to speak), Christian believers receive a fresh endowment of divinity from the makeup of GOD.  Included are various inseparable (where one appears, all are present) aspects of the Spirit that resided within Christ while he was upon the earth such as faith, holiness, longsuffering, love, truth, wisdom, and wrath against sin.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us:  we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.  (2nd Corinthians 5:  20-21, KJV)

The operations of GOD at the cross, resurrection, and sacrifice are topics, today, along with more on alcohol, doubt, Holy Communion, and wine.  A writer at “Yahoo!7 Answers (Australia)” using the ID “James” (Level 1 with 16 points, a member since 20 July 2013) posted the following that was originally asked at “Yahoo! Answers Canada”:

If god sacrificed his only son for the sins of mankind, how come he raised him back from the dead?

If god didn’t really lose his son Jesus, how is that a sacrifice?

THE BATTLE AXE:  Everything a Lie? (10/05/2013)—In Old Testament Scripture, drunkenness and intoxication are used to depict aspects of spirit that include confusion, presumption, and pride.  In New Testament writings these qualities are described using such language as arrogance, hypocrisy, ignorance, and leaven (e.g., Isaiah 28: 1 and 28:  7, Matthew 16:  11-12, KJV).  The operations of GOD to cleanse, redeem and transform Creation are directed to a broad expanse (we say, the cosmos, and the universe).  Many unseen things are embraced and focused upon by the Sovereign GOD.  However, for the benefit of mankind, the operations of divinity are made to appear as simple things used to focus and trigger faith.  Included are baptism, confession, covenant meals, penitence, prayer, thanksgiving, and the regular giving of tithes.  As with participation in the Lord’s Supper, where otherwise common objects of bread and wine become the blood and body of Jesus, believers accept that the same Holy Spirit, who established the earth and the heaven, operates from within themselves as an imparted, indwelling presence from GOD.  The Christian believer acknowledges GOD in the person of Jesus Christ, in the recorded word (the Bible), and in the imparted Spirit to be their teacher, teachers sent from GOD.  Neither the simple objects employed, nor the simple lessons provided can be obstacles to genuine spiritual growth and understanding where one has fully received spirit content from Jesus.  Included must be the inseparable aspects of divine person such as gratitude, holiness, humility, joy, longsuffering, truthfulness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Only by the indwelling Spirit do men properly detect, avoid and resist sin, or correctly embrace the word of prophecy from GOD (see Romans 14:  16-18, Micah 2:  11, Habakkuk 2:  2-5, 1st John 1:  5-7 and 1st John 2:  18-29, KJV).

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.  For scarcely for a righteous man will one die:  yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.  And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.  (Romans 5:  6-11, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Dying in Terror and Joy? (09/28/2013); Animals Do Not Sin? (09/29/2013); Believers and the Cross (06/24/2013); A Relationship not Just Knowledge? (06/25/2013); An Earth to Fix A Heaven? (05/18/2013); Jesus Lives! (05/04/2013); Experience Is Not Evidence? (05/05/2013); Why Blood? (04/13/2013); Time Before the Sun? (04/14/2013); Father Forgive (09/06/2012)

James, here are a few points about the death and resurrection of Jesus that are important to many Christian believers.  They may be different, new, and unfamiliar to you because they do not come from flesh and human intellect:

(1.)  The death upon the cross was more than a carnal and physical event.  Multiple sacred operations were in effect.  Included are atonement, forbearance, forgiveness, judgment, and reconciliation.

(2.)  Through the sovereign power of GOD, the death Jesus completed upon the cross was yours.  GOD appeared in the person of Jesus (we say, incarnate) to demonstrate and reveal peculiar truths regarding divinity that we otherwise could never know and understand.  Included are facts regarding the nature of sin and salvation.  Sin opposes the continuing existence of GOD, of divine law, and of all that has being.

(3.)  The sacred ministry that Jesus was performing upon the earth had to be completed in the heaven.  Jesus is a divine High Priest.  More than this, the blood (flesh) poured out upon the earth from his side portrayed the divine life essence (spirit) that would be used to purify the Temple in heaven, and prepare all things for final judgment.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood; however, my points are not intended to overwhelm you.  (For example, (4.)  We say, the blood is the life, because it conveys spirit essence to all the organs and tissues of the body.  Blood itself is not the spirit essence; it is a vehicle and vessel for spirit.  The blood of Jesus is said to cover and wash away our sin as it appears in the record of our deeds, the heavenly Book of Life.  Through the continuing ministry of Jesus Christ, believers today also receive a fresh endowment of spirit content (i.e., are born again having divine DNA, so to speak.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

New Disclaimer

The predictions of Nostradamus, false prophets, prophecy, and added thoughts on false witness are shared, today.   The “Yahoo! Answers” writer using ID “WZ” (Level 2 with 504 points, a member since November 21, 2011) posted the following:

Are Nostradamus prophecies worthy predictions of the future or merely vague observations to match now?

THE BATTLE AXE:  About False Witness (09/09/2012)—Those who are Christians “in name only” are called “nominal believers.”  Their declarations of commitment and faith may be characterized by expressions of concern, emotion and passion, however, theirs is only a false witness of Christ in their lives.  True, the work of salvation is begun, continued and completed by GOD, and is not the result of human actions, or the good works of the men and women that call for change and renewal.  Even so, there must be an active, not passive, response to the Gospel that should be visible “across the board” in ones conduct, goals, practice, prayer life, relationships, study and worship.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Fear ye not me? saith the LORD:  will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it:  and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?  But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.  Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season:  he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.  Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.  For among my people are found wicked men:  they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.  As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit:  therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.  They are waxen fat, they shine:  yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked:  they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.  Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD:  shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?  A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;  The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so:  and what will ye do in the end thereof?  (Jeremiah 5:  22-31, King James Version)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Rules for Sharing Christ (03/15/2012); Signs of a Prophet (03/14/2012); Bad Luck (02/25/2012); The Prophets (02/24/2012); The Wise Men? (12/21/2010); Known by GOD? (10/16/2010)

To the glory and praise of GOD, here are some thoughts shared among the more mature sons and daughters of GOD through Christ. See with new eyes, and be encouraged as you consider the following:

As a boy, I was very excited about the claims that Nostradamus (born 1503, died 1566) had accurately described and predicted many contemporary events, including the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.  When I investigated these claims using the standards for prophecy that are provided through the holy writings, I immediately saw that Nostradamus did not speak for the Holy One of Israel!

For Christian believers, the work of sacred prophesy is the revealing of divinity in the person of Jesus; and primary focus is upon the intent, process and purpose of the supreme spirit-person (we say “GOD”).  Nostradamus does not speak for GOD.   The entire existence of humankind is understood as framed by the truth that proceeds from GOD.  What men call “the future” is central to prophecy only because human understanding is progressive, and must shift through various levels.   Eternity is not a set period of time having a beginning and end such as months, years, generations.  Sacred prophecy emerges from eternal, unchanging being, is not temporal, and, therefore, provides certainty.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, men typically seek foreknowledge of events to have added advantage and control over others.  Given their motives are selfish, they do not turn to GOD for information.  Rather, they seek occult solutions (e.g., astrologers, psychics, witches, etc.).  Sacred law provides a peculiar “foreknowledge” of events to mankind:   Outcomes for disobedience and transgression are fixed, and published prior to the commission of any offense.  Also, the natural law declares flatly, you may only reap what you sow.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

I respond to a question that caught my eye among postings at “Yahoo! Answers,” that focused on the Ten Commandments and “false witness.”  Also, I present added thoughts on Christ as begotten not made.  The Y!A writer using ID “Tony” (Level 1 with 85 points, a member since September 8, 2012) shared the following:

Does the King James version of the Bible still contain 10 commandments?
Or did the Religious Right take out the one about not bearing false witness?

THE BATTLE AXE:  Begotten not Made (09/08/2012)—The instruction mankind needed, and the conduct humanity would have to show in order to fully embrace salvation could not be delivered through commands, and verbal or written language, only.  In Christ, faith and righteousness along with acceptance of both natural and spiritual law are made visible through memorable action, attitudes, obedience, good works, birth, death and resurrection.  Jesus appears as one lowly and meek—accessible, approachable, and teachable (i.e., receptive to instruction from the Spirit of GOD using the holy writings, and other divine gifts provided for mankind such as praise, promise and prophecy).  Genuine humanity is further portrayed by Christ as accountable, alert, balanced, consistent, diligent, dutiful, and mature.  Also, mankind is to be enthusiastic, faithful, humble, industrious, longsuffering, obedient, patient, prayerful, respectful, sensible, truthful, uncomplaining, vulnerable, wise, and zealous.  In the person of Jesus, Almighty GOD is manifest in and through Creation as a work that continues to develop and as living issue, rather than as an abstract object fashioned and completed.  An evidence of things unseen, Christ performs upon the earth eternal acts of priesthood from the heavens, extending the benefits of celestial service to those upon the earth that believe.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness:  O LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment.  They draw nigh that follow after mischief:  they are far from thy law.  Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth.  Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.  Consider mine affliction, and deliver me:  for I do not forget thy law.  Plead my cause, and deliver me:  quicken me according to thy word.  (Psalm 119:  149-154, KJV)

To the glory and praise of GOD, here are some thoughts shared among the more mature sons and daughters of GOD through Christ.  See with new eyes, and be encouraged as you consider the following:

As children, many of us believe that the Ten Commandments (also called the Decalogue) are the only law from GOD given to mankind; and we fail to see the full spectrum of sacred truth, and holy purpose addressed through the law.  Because we mistakenly hold that the law given to Moses is the “first ever” set of standards for human behavior; that the purpose of the law is geopolitical and centers upon favoring the Jewish people as a separate state among the nations of the earth; and that there are no more than ten commandments to be found throughout the Scriptures, we fail to realize that the law is a revealing of Divine Person just like the burning bush, and what was proclaimed to Moses as he stood hidden in the cleft of the rock.

Judgment is permanent and pervasive within the person of GOD.  The divine process of judgment is indispensable, and has the same power and substance as Creation, covenant-making, forgiveness, incarnation, redemption, regeneration, resurrection, and salvation.  This is called into view as the prohibition against “false witness” (what we might call “lying under oath,” “perjury,” and “obstruction of justice”).  Falsifying evidence is forbidden through the ninth of the rules for creating a united people as listed in Exodus 20:  16.  Verbal statements have weight in judgment as legitimate evidence on par with ballistic reports, DNA, fibers, finger prints, footprints, police interrogations, and confiscated weapons.  Moreover, it is generally accepted that the divine law goes beyond the provisions of civil law, and condemns routinely lying to others at home, at work, etc.

Also, for many mature Christian believers, “bearing false witness” means displaying attitudes of disrespect, and unbelief of the Gospel, including wicked behavior, denial, rejection and slanders against Christ.  By contrast, the “confession of Christ” is the acknowledgment that divine promise is fulfilled in Jesus, one possessing both humanity and divinity.  The truths he proclaimed during his earthly ministry are described as “the Testimony of Jesus;” and by adherence to its conditions and provisions, believers continue as redeemed, saved and acquitted in divine judgment.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, because judgment is continuous for those in covenant to GOD, lying from day-to-day (or say-to-say) is no different than lying under oath and in the formal process of a trial.  In adults, pretending, make believe and casual lies are all accounted as perverse–departures from truth.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
