The work of GOD to purify heaven is topic, today, with more on the things accomplished by believers through the person of Jesus Christ.   The “Yahoo! Answers” writer using ID “shortiduwop” (Level 1 with 108 points, a member since June 18, 2010) posted the following:

Why would God need to purify heaven?
this comes from the note in 2nd Peter 3:13

THE BATTLE AXE:  Accomplished in Christ (01/16/2013)—For Abraham, circumcision was a mark in the flesh of a man that depicted humility before GOD, and trusting obedience.  In Jesus Christ, the nail prints in his hands, the imprint from thorns upon his forehead, and the place where he was wounded in his side are the marks in flesh depicting humility, obedience and unselfish love.  The holy blood of Jesus fulfills all offering and promise to GOD from mankind, and from mankind to GOD.  Christian belief is coveted, despised, envied, feared, hated and rejected by many around the world, because Christian belief goes beyond passive doctrines that describe mankind as covered by Christ.  The Gospel is also understood as declaring that, in Christ, mankind is endowed, sanctified, and exalted:  Therefore, there are many Christians who strive to employ divine authority, participate in sacred processes, and enjoy godly privilege.  Christians are known to preach and practice self command and discipline, exorcism, healing, identifying sin, judgment, prayer, rebuke of the devil, and warning against all ungodliness.  The principles of spirit life and unity through covenant make it that sacred experience, insight and wisdom for a single person among those in commitment to Jesus Christ is shared by all the members of the body.  (See 1st Corinthians 12:  1-31 regarding gifts to believers through operation of the Holy Spirit, and the prayer of Jesus prior to crucifixion at John 17:  13-24, KJV.)  Through Christ and the Holy Spirit, believers in GOD may claim to be absolutely invincible having a spiritual victory over appetite, death, ignorance, sin, suffering, time and space that can never be annulled, reversed or undone by the confusion, doubt, lack of faith, or unbelief of others.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,  Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.  Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.  And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.  It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.  For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:  Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;  For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world:  but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.  And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:  So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.  (Hebrews 9:  19-28, King James Version)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  More Than Salvation (11/27/2012); Son of Man (11/28/2012); Entered Into Heaven (02/07/2012); Poem:  “The Magician:  Franco Gaskin” (02/08/2012); The Place for Prayer (01/17/2012); Girdle 14:  Reasonable Service (11/29/2011); Jesus, King of Earth? (10/07/2012); Work in Heaven (11/22/2010); Rewarded? (11/23/2010)

The place of divine presence that we speak of as “heaven” is made defiled and unclean through the operations of sin.  Sin is no material or physical thing, has not been created or fashioned by GOD, and is no spirit substance from the person of GOD.  Even so, sin was first discovered among the holy angels, and later became a continuing aspect of human existence upon the earth.  While sin is no “thing”, and has no concrete form, sin is described as having direction, effect and presence.  The will of Almighty GOD is not subject to sin; however, the self-will of created beings and living creatures may be influenced and dominated by sin.  Because sin is no living entity, and cannot be said to “exist”, its elimination requires a broad range of divine operations and processes.

Divine cleansing from defilement, and removal of profanity are only through sacred devices that include water, blood, death/rebirth, fire, judgment and the second death.  As the primary conveyance that transfers life to all the parts within the living, blood flows and pushes against corruption and decay, flushing uncleanness from any object or person.  Fire decomposes the makeup of objects, unfixes their cohesion and integrity, and separates the elements of their composition often producing a residue of smoke and ashes.

The Tabernacle of Moses, and later the Temple at Jerusalem, depicted objects and practices that were being carried out in heaven.  Because the process whereby mankind was to have access to GOD was altered to include the offering of sacrifices for atonement of sin, the place of acknowledgment and worship (spoken of as a temple in heaven) became unclean.  More than this, the Sanctuary, and Most Holy Place of the heavenly temple (spoken of as the “mercy seat” and “seat of judgment”) has required a deep cleansing and purging (i.e., an inner washing) by application of holy blood.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, even when one speaks of “heaven” as being the atmosphere, our sky, and the envelope of the earth, there is severe air pollution, corruption of the ozone layer, and a need for refreshing that is no longer possible through the mechanisms of rain, snow and other natural precipitation.  Divine action is being taken to make the earth and heaven fit as the home of beings that are immortal and incorruptible.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Various appearances of divine person, judgment, law and sanctification are topics; however, only a BATTLE AXE and a GOLDEN ARROW are presented, today. Be blessed as you, your family, friends and other loved ones claim and receive the hope, joy and salvation from GOD through Jesus Christ.

      Merry Christmas, 2012!

THE BATTLE AXE: About the Star? (12/23/2012)—In the full declaration of sacred truth regarding the birth of Jesus, many mature believers also understand the star that appeared in the East, moved steadily westward, and finally beamed from above the inn at Bethlehem was not an angelic being (the angels are called “stars” in Revelation 1: 20 and 12: 3-5, KJV). This visible feature of the night sky was an appearance of divine person, as was the guardian to the tree of life (Genesis 3: 24, KJV) who stood with flaming sword, the cherubim bowing in obeisance before the holy ark and seat of justice (Exodus 25: 22 and Numbers 7: 89, KJV), and the pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night (Exodus 13: 20-22, KJV) that hovered above the tribes of Jacob in their wandering. The star of the shepherds and wise men pertains to the continuing revelation of GOD to all Creation and mankind, and specially serves to further prepare all for the advent and appearance of Christ in full supernal glory (Ezekiel 43: 2, Matthew 24: 25-31 and Luke 9: 26, KJV).

THE GOLDEN ARROW: For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. (Isaiah 9: 5-7, KJV)

Whether or not GOD seeks mankind, and mankind seeks Satan is considered along with more on the “lake of mercy.” A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “grfisgd” (Level 6 with 16,761 points, a member since August 29, 2007) posted the following:

Christians, do you agree with these points?

Satan seeking man (no need for a person to seek Satan:

(1 Peter 5:8)

“Be alert, be reflective, because your enemy Satan roars like a lion and is walking and seeking whom he may devour.”

Jesus knocking at the door verse:

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

Additional Details

Just trying to write my own notes through study. And I sorta learned this in my own way of understanding.

1. God, Jesus, asks us (His children) to come to Him. He wants us to believe in Him so we can be saved. So does God seek man or should man seek God?

2. Opposite of that, Satan seeks God’s children instead of people seeking Satan (occults, witchcraft influences, earthly, materialistic things etc.)So its possible regardless of belief Satan will enter someone life without them seeking Satan. Opposite of Jesus knocking at your door. Satan just invites himself in your house.

THE BATTLE AXE: The “Lake of Mercy” (11/03/2012)—With the removal of all believers in Christ who are vessels of his life and spirit, the earth will become dark and joyless. Those that are made slaves to sin eventually have no power to resist, and are deprived of all self-will, and sacred understanding. Altered by sin, angels, men and other beings lose the divine endowment that established ones authority, ones identity as a created being or living creature, and ones power to operate within frameworks of time and space. Those consigned to the lake of destruction are empty and void of divinity; they exist, however, they do not have life (i.e., being, godliness, and person). As corrupt, lifeless objects (we could say “rubbish”) they do not call forth benevolence and kindness. The figure of a lake (a pool and standing body of water, instead of running water like a river or stream), pictures a finite and limited natural resource that is nonetheless abundant, bounteous, and measureless. The fearful torment to those left behind at the Rapture is not that described by physical pain. The spiritual condition of the wicked is to be seen as an unbearable separation from GOD such that their destruction may be regarded as heartfelt compassion and pity. As a mechanism of the law and judgment, mercy emerges by precepts, principles, and truth, and is made visible in accordance with the specifics of each case.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. (2nd Corinthians 3: 4-6, King James Version)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Caesarea Philippi (10/22/2012); Spirit Matter (10/21/2012); The Spirit is Willing (10/20/2012); When Prayer Works (10/11/2012); Sin Unknown? (10/10/2012); Coveting The Throne (03/07/2012); On Going to Heaven (01/13/2012)

Here are some thoughts from Christ that have been found helpful by many mature believers:

Human language does not correctly describe the various aspects of divine person, sacred process, and spiritual purpose. We continue to use “buzz words” like “seek”, “find”, “learn” and “discover” speaking of being and existence, the makeup of reality and truth, and the substance of divinity. Our language is imperfect, however, it does allow us to exchange and share many truths that would otherwise have to remain unspoken. For example, Almighty GOD is a spirit person, and is not a carnal, material or social life form; yet, we repeatedly use “he”, “him” and titles of respect to speak of GOD as if the Maker is a human being. The holy angels, as created of GOD, are sprit-beings; however, they are not a fullness of divine spirit as GOD is. The angels are neither mortal (as men are) nor immortal (as GOD is). While the angels represent a unique and finite expression of divine mind, they are not in the oneness of spirit-person as are Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

Satan exists in the earth as a prince and ruler from among the angels. In their creation, the angels were endowed with the full measure of knowledge and wisdom they would use throughout their service. Angels do not acquire truth as men do through experience over time granted to mankind as growth and learning. The angels were provided with such gifts as ability, authority, and feeling; and they were not given “sin”, a knowledge of sin, or an ability to repent for sin. Sin opposes the existence of divine law, of rule by GOD, and of existence for all things created of GOD. Also, sin generates spiritual confusion, and alters the divine content of created beings and living creatures. When sin (i.e., corruption) was found among the angels, destructive separation from divine person already had begun.

The techniques for rule among the angels, and within the heaven, are not all appropriate for the earth and mankind. Thus, Satan is incapable of full and open dominion. Through deceit, misdirection and various wiles, he and his followers are able to exercise a limited influence upon mankind. Divine rule of mankind is now contested by sin, human ignorance, self-will, and weakness of the flesh. Acknowledgment of GOD (what we call “worship”) goes forward correctly only through ones inner awareness from the imparted, indwelling spirit supplied from GOD. Through the ministry of Jesus Christ upon the earth, and from the heavens, mankind may receive an additional endowment of sacred substance from the person of Almighty GOD. Included are faith, holiness, humility, longsuffering, wisdom and wrath against sin.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, men do not seek GOD so much as right knowledge of GOD (truth), and right standing with GOD (relationship). Satan does not seek relationship with men as equals or peers; nor does he seek to eat human flesh and blood. His lust is for control, power, and vindication.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Judgment, the lake of fire, and divine mercy are topics, today. (No BATTLE AXE appears.) A regular reader at using the ID “Southern_Grace” responded to (11/01/2012) After the Rapture? and posted the following:

The lake of fire will become the mercy of God. That is an interesting statement. Would you expand on your thoughts?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs. (Revelation 14: 13-20, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Does GOD Feel? (10/05/2012); How Was GOD Known Before Jesus? (10/06/2012); Life and Death (09/26/2012); Doom (09/20/2012); Contradictions? (09/21/2012); Mercy is Just? (12/17/2010); The Lord’s Prayer (12/18/2010)

The idea of a “lake of mercy” wherein wickedness is destroyed, and the idea of rain from heaven that destroys wickedness by completely covering the earth, are ways of describing divine judgment against sin while further revealing the surpassing love of the Creator for created beings and living creatures. Correctly understood, salvation and judgment are sacred processes to accomplish the purposes of GOD, not those of mankind. The intent of GOD revealed in Creation has not changed, and through Creation GOD is known as immutable, invisible and unchanging. The need for peace throughout Creation is recognized and provided for. Peace, and the resolution of conflict are not the outcome of war; rather, they are the outcome of judgment (i.e., the end of contention and quarrels, and the settlement of disputes through law). Created beings and living creatures endowed with self-will continue in conflict with their Maker, and with one another calling for a reconciliation of flesh and spirit made present as both divinity and matter. The grace and mercy of GOD invested within the law are made manifest in the person of Jesus Christ, who is anointed as Judge and the primary overseer of divine judgment. Just as GOD is revealed in the sacred process of Incarnation, GOD is made visible through the sacred process of judgment that displays grace, justice, mercy, righteousness, wisdom and wrath against sin.

Throughout the Scriptures, language that speaks of burning, fire from heaven, holy fire, and the wrath of GOD are used pertaining to judgment against sin. Fire from heaven as a device in divine judgment is first reported in the book of Genesis, and appears as “a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life” (Genesis 3: 24, King James Version). Immediately, we grasp that this flame is not produced by common fire, such as we use to cook and warm ourselves. We next understand the appearance of holy fire in judgment of mankind by the account of sacrifice from the sons of Adam. Both Abel and Cain were granted the instruction from GOD as heirs to the priesthood from heaven that was demonstrated to Adam upon the earth. Adam was shown how to prepare an altar as the holy table, and the point of connection between heaven and earth. Also, he was taught the correct way to transfer sin to a living creature, kill, eviscerate, portion and present the lamb, sprinkling the blood for atonement and thanksgiving. Almighty GOD then introduced holy fire to consume the sacrifice, that could, all at once, destroy the sin laid upon it, and release to GOD the divine spirit substance from both the innocent substitute, and the priest making sacrifice. While both Abel and Cain built altars, and made offerings based upon their labor, only Abel’s sacrifice was performed in obedience to the pattern from heaven. The Scripture reports, “And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:” (Genesis 4: 4, KJV). Holy fire from heaven is understood as the device that was used by Almighty GOD to acknowledge the obedience of Abel, and to indicate divine pleasure.

In the same way that law existed in heaven long before creation of the angels and sacred beasts, holy fire existed as the tool of GOD in Creation of the heaven and the earth long before lightening and natural fire. Judgment existed as an aspect of divine person and (before sin) continued as assessment, evaluation and the weighing of alternatives in decision-making and accomplishing sacred process. The holy angels, who are neither mortals nor immortal beings, were completed as finished spirit-beings along with their spirit-place (the celestial heavens), and were not given the same ability to change through growth and learning that was bestowed upon Adam. More than this, angels and others were not made capable of spiritual repentance. When sin became known among the holy angels, holy fire first became a tool for judgment against rebellion and willful behavior by created beings, and is called “everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels” by Jesus (Matthew 25: 41, KJV).

The idea of fire from heaven having a form similar to that of water comes into view in the account of judgment against the cities of the plain, when the Lord rained brimstone and fire (Genesis 19: 24, KJV). This is similar to the accounts of flood waters used for judgment against mankind in Noah’s day as well as hail and fire used in judgment against the One World empire of Egypt at the time of Moses. Many suppose that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by common fire, and because of idolatry, fornication, and perverted sexual practices. In fact, Scripture declares: Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy (Ezekiel 16: 49, KJV). The phrase “lake of fire” first appears in Scripture at Revelation 19: 20 describing the destruction of the false prophet and beast that were instruments of Satan. This second death is first described as a second harvesting of the earth commanded by an angel that comes out from the altar in heaven having power over fire, and in service to Christ (Revelation 14: 18-20, KJV).

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, mercy is exclusively an artifact of divine judgment: No judgment by GOD, no mercy; no mercy from GOD, no perfect judgment. Such elements as balance, impartiality and righteousness characterize divine judgment through its inclusion of mercy. Judgment that results in the second death is both the eternal release from sin, and the eternal release from divine displeasure and punishment.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
