As the 2014 observance of Rosh Hashonah, the new year festival, begins at sunset among Jewish believers, there will yet be many conflicts of opinion and understanding among men in the earth about the nature and purpose of death, divinity, and eternal life.  A brief Scripture study is shared, today, further presenting the divine revelation whereby GOD “speaks for himself” to created beings and living creatures upon the earth.  While GOD has proclaimed that there will be change and progression in accordance with divine intent, men are to understand there will be no undoing of his sacred word, his righteous will, or his works of judgment and salvation performed through the ministry of Jesus Christ.

SOME THOUGHTS ON

10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen:  that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he:  before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you:  therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.

13 Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand:  I will work, and who shall let it?  (Isaiah 43:  10-13, KJV)

Exodus 3:  13-15 (KJV)  13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?  14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM:  and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.  15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you:  this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.

Exodus 34:  6-7 (KJV)  6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,  7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

Isaiah 44:  6-11 (KJV)  6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.  7 And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them.  8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid:  have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.  9 They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed.  10 Who hath formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?  11 Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed:  and the workmen, they are of men:  let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together.

Isaiah 44:  24-27 (KJV)  24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;  25 That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish;  26 That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof:  27 That saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers:

Leviticus 26:  14-20 (KJV)  14 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;  15 And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:  16 I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart:  and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.  17 And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies:  they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.  18 And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.  19 And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:  20 And your strength shall be spent in vain:  for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.  21 And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.

Isaiah 45:  5-10 (KJV)  5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me:  I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:  6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.  7 I form the light, and create darkness:  I make peace, and create evil:  I the LORD do all these things.  8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness:  let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.  9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker!  Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?  10 Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth?

Jeremiah 9:  6-8 (KJV)  6 Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the LORD.  7 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people?  8 Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit:  one speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait.

Isaiah 30:  15 (KJV)  15 For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength:  and ye would not.

Jeremiah 9:  23-24 (KJV)  23 Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:  24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth:  for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.

Isaiah 43:  1 (KJV)  1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not:  for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

Isaiah 49:  24-26 (KJV)  24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?  25 But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered:  for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.  26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine:  and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

Isaiah 43:  15-19 (KJV)  15 I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.  16 Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;  17 Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise:  they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.  18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.  19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Isaiah 65:  12-17 (KJV)  12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter:  because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.  13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry:  behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:  14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.  15 And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen:  for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:  16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.  17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth:  and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

Jeremiah 31:  31-35 (KJV)  31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:  32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:  33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.  34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD:  for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD:  for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.  35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:

There is far more to be said, properly shared, and spiritually understood.  The GOD whose purpose is to put forth and maintain life must be known through Creation, covenant, judgment, praise, proclamation, promise, redemption, salvation, and sanctification.  Those who worship the false gods and idols of hate, lies, self-destruction, and violence, neither hear nor know the true and living GOD.  Readers are asked to add an appropriate verse or passage from the Bible in the comments area (see below).  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.  Grow in grace.

Today, delusion, divine revelation, and human mental and spiritual health come into view.  Also, there is more on knowing the name of GOD.  The “Yahoo! Answers” writer using “Murderous Puppy” as an ID (Level 1 with 196 points, a member since March 02, 2013) posted the following:

If I have to delude myself into believing God exists before he will reveal himself to me…?

then how do I know his revelation isn’t just a delusion?

THE BATTLE AXE:  About Knowing the Name of GOD (09/21/2014)—(4.)  The living do not need to know the hidden and secret names of GOD; and the dead “praise not GOD.”  The living are to grasp divine operations, sacred process, and eternal purpose, for GOD is to be known as active presence.  While many names and titles have been used to speak of GOD during the various stages of development for covenant and salvation upon the earth, the name to be used by those having the closest, most intimate relationship with GOD (we say, the exclusive, personal, singular name of GOD) is exalted, set apart (sanctified), and not for ordinary use.  Certainly, this does not mean that the personal name of GOD does not exist.  How divinity is known and spoken of (we say, the name of GOD) changes in accordance with necessary tasks performed by GOD through different appearances of divinity on behalf of created beings and living creatures.  It is an aspect of the sacred process and substance of existence that mankind calls to GOD, and seeks the highest levels of spiritual knowledge and truth.  Yet, just as Creation has been accomplished without GOD being given criticism, direction, and instruction from the created, redemption, salvation and eternal life are not through the input of those having presence as the quick and the dead.  In place of the personal name of GOD, there are now many devices used to indicate where the divine name would appear within ones prayers, public teaching, or written presentations.  Included are Adonai, G-d, GOD Almighty (El Shaddai), Elohim, Hashem, Jehovah, Lord, and YHWH.

(5.)  While men repeatedly seek to compare and rank the names of GOD, such efforts are in line with the pursuits of idolatry and vainglory.  To argue that “I AM” is more correct or has greater power than “the Lord of hosts that dwelleth between the cherubims,” “Jealous”, “the Lord that formed me from the womb,” “the fear of Isaac,” “the mighty God of Jacob,” “the strength of Isaac,” or “The Holy One of Israel” is foolishness.  Imparting and possessing the same aspects of divine operation, presence, purpose and value, the collection of divine names are to be understood as diverse utterances that establish a single, unchanging, unified word.  See Genesis 4:  25-26, Genesis 31:  42, Judges 17:  5-6, 1st Samuel 3:  1-10, Job 37:  5-24, Exodus 6:  2-4 and Hebrews 1:  1-4, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner:  but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;  Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,  But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:  (2nd Timothy 1:  7-10, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Bible is All About GOD? (07/27/2014); No Mystery in Lawful Judgment (07/28/2014); Divine Law for Mankind? (07/29/2014); On Weakness? (07/03/2014); The Fear of GOD (10/30/2012); Saved in Childbearing? (10/31/2012); The Spirit is Willing (10/20/2012); Spirit Matter (10/21/2012)

“Murderous Puppy”, here are a few points that have lent much emotional, psychological, and spiritual strength to Christian believers:

(1.)  GOD is an eternal spirit whose purposes and values center in the establishment of life, not upon abusing, antagonizing, dominating and oppressing finite created beings and living creatures.  Misery, sin and wretchedness are not by divine creation; they are the result of exchanges and interactions among the living.  Using things that are material and visible, GOD reveals or makes divinity known and understandable.  Included are intense emotional, intellectual and visceral experiences that communicate spirit content (e.g., faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, joy, love, wisdom, wrath against sin).

(2.)  Mankind may operate within multiple spheres of life process for body, mind and spirit.  Data and information bombard ones awareness from external and internal, seen and unseen sources, the flesh and the mind.  Included are appetite (e.g., hunger, thirst, sexual cravings), sensation (e.g., hearing, seeing, tasting, touching), and emotion/mental functions (e.g., anger, desire, fantasy, fear, recall).  Only when anchored and “grounded” by the core substances that establish being can the living escape the various delusions generated by covetousness, ignorance, lust, pride, unhealthy relationships, and sin.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example,(3.)  Many adults can not read or write.  It is not that they did not learn to recite the ABCs.  They did not learn to carry out the more complex tasks of creating combinations and permutations (i.e., arranging and re-arranging as set patterns) the same letters to make the full range of words.  Similarly, it is not that GOD did not impart a necessary foundation of spirit matter to mankind at Creation; or that GOD is inactive and silent.  Men must develop and practice discernment (use their own spirit content to recognize and respond to spirit matter that resides within events, objects, other persons, divine purposes, etc.).  The extremes of mental illness are more the consequence of carnal, cultural, political and social elements (the focus of ones mind) than the result from things given in the revelation from GOD (the focus of ones spirit).)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

The death of Deacon Stephen, division of labor through formal roles among the followers of Jesus, and persecution of the early church are topics, today.  Also, there is more on how GOD is known and spoken of.  The “Yahoo! Was there like a miniature war that broke out between Christians and Jews after Jesus died?

I didn’t know this but apparently the Jews stoned both Stephen and James to death. They were both stoned to death somewhat shortly after Jesus was crucified.

It sounds like Jews were killing or trying to kill a lot of the disciples and apostles

THE BATTLE AXE:  The Name(?) of GOD (04/09/2014)—(6.)  The many names of GOD that appear throughout the holy writings are all intended to reveal (we say, make known) and establish the active presence of GOD.  The names are featured within a framework of awareness (we say, language) that describes exchanges, interactions, and operations upon material objects carried out by applying spirit matter such as faith, holiness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Among the various aspects of divinity that come into view, “I AM” is the primary process of GOD (we say, the major act, deed, and work of GOD is to exist).  The name, I AM, is also heard as I AM BECAUSE I AM, I AM ONLY I AM, I AM THAT I AM, I AM THE I AM, I ONLY AM I AM, and ONLY I AM I AM.  To exist does not require aging in the frameworks of time and  space, change, closure, completion, death, development, goals, growth, learning, or purpose beyond continuing to endure as present.  Thus, we say GOD is dynamic, immutable, unceasing, and unchanging.  Divinity is proclaimed to be communal, interactive, and organic through diversity, rather than by change; and GODhead is revealed through recognition of multiple aspects of full divinity, and various patterns among divine functions.  When saying, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the GODhead describes consecrated roles and sacred operations that appear (we say, manifest) as person.  Where GOD is named by reference to specific humans with whom GOD has been in covenant or fellowship (e.g., Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, Jesus Christ) GOD may be known and understood as present within the life experience of created beings and living creatures through the mechanisms of what they grasp as relationship.  Thus, authority, ownership, and sovereignty are attributed to GOD; and the presence or absence of GOD is discerned (we say, realized) within such life process as adoption, covenant, culture, family, government, history, marriage, promise, prophecy, and sacred events (we say, miracles).

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.  And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.  And the hand of the Lord was with them:  and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.  Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem:  and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.  Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.  For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith:  and much people was added unto the Lord.  Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:  And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch.  And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.  (Acts 11:  19-26, KJV)

“Kyle”, where you are ready to learn more about what happened to the followers of Jesus after he was raised from the dead (many say, resurrected), and then returned to heaven (we say, ascended), you want to understand that academic and secular history is not relied upon by most Christians.  Instead, the Bible accounts are taken to be the most accurate, carefully preserved, and official documentation.  Here are a few points to consider that will not be shared with you by those who are ignorant of the Scriptures, or are committed to the darkness of sin in their lives:

(1.) The Bible records the systematic efforts by officials among the Jews to use the power of the Roman government against the early church (we say, the Persecution).  The focus is more upon how  responses of the disciples provided the further growth of the church, rather than upon the many individuals, and discrete attacks that were made against the believers.  Many details are not provided, because the focus for belief is to be the Incarnation of GOD—that is, the many appearances and operations of divinity through and within the lives of ordinary people.

(2.)  Stephen, who was a deacon in the church, was not the first in the Bible to die for their faith, and as a person who believes in GOD.  However, Stephen was the first to die by public execution following the death of Jesus, and is known as the first Christian martyr.  The appearance of deacons is an indication that the church was “alive and well,” developing new organizational units to carry out its mission.

(3.)  As you know, Stephen was stoned to death under provisions from the Jewish law as punishment for the crime of blasphemy; and no appeal was made to the Romans.  With his last words, Stephen displayed the same Spirit Jesus exhibited upon the cross, breathing out a prayer for forgiveness.

(4.)  Death for the apostles usually involved Rome as the instrument of force and violence.  Crucifixion was used to destroy Peter and his brother Andrew.  Saul of Tarsus, who presided over the stoning of Stephen as the “Lord High Executioner” for the Jews, became converted to Christian service; and later, as the Apostle Paul, was drawn and quartered (torn to pieces using horses).

There is a lot more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  The Persecution is also to be seen as a judgment from GOD like that provided against Babel in the mixing of languages.  Following the flood of Noah’s day, all men cooperated in an agreement that centered their lives in building a tower to reach heaven.  The divine command to be fruitful, multiply, and completely re-populate the earth was not being carried out.  Similarly, the church of Jesus Christ was becoming centered in Jerusalem as a faction and sect within the Temple.  By the death of Stephen, believers were scattered, and the work of evangelism and spreading the Gospel was invigorated and sparked.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to the measure of divine faith that resides in you.

Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:  That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.  (Acts 26:  22-23, KJV)

Moses, and the transformation through divine grace that makes possible a sinners use in sacred service are topics, today.  Also, there is more on evil created by GOD.  A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Wade” (Level 2 with 902 points, a member since August 2012) posted the following:

THE BATTLE AXE:  Evil is not Sin? (09/22/2013)—(4.)  “Sin” (also called “corruption”) pertains to self-generating influences that may dominate the will in created beings and living creatures.  Sin is not an independently existing material or spirit substance; does not describe forces and operations in nature (e.g., appetite; earthquakes; eclipses; gravity; wild fires; wind chill); and has not been created or put forth by GOD.  Yet, sin has direction, effect and presence that, without devices provided by GOD, are impossible to detect, eliminate, foresee, and resist.  Atonement, covenants, divine law, anointed leadership, the priesthood, and a fresh endowment of the imparted, indwelling Spirit have been given by GOD through the ministry of Jesus Christ to counteract sin.  Sin opposes the continued existence of GOD, of divine law, and of all that GOD has created.  (5.)  “Wickedness” (often mistakenly called “evil” and “sin”) pertains to specific patterns in the intent, purposes, and unseen thoughts of the living that generate behavior and conduct that are defiant, destructive, rebellious, self-promoting, and self-serving.  Wickedness is the lack of godliness within the content of their nature for created beings and living creatures.  Correctly understood, wickedness is only removed through divine evil, rebirth, or death and resurrection.  (6.)  “Sufferings” are otherwise “normal” experiences of the human condition exaggerated and extended in such a way that the limits of ones endurance are challenged.  Included are a broad array of emotional, mental, physical, social and spiritual events.  Examples are pressures that appear as anxiety, envy, fear, financial loss, hunger, illness, incompatibility, pain, political oppression, separation, and stress.  In the world (i.e., outside of the church and holy writings), “evil” is a label for continuing and repeated “bad luck,” misfortune, suffering, tragedy, trouble, unpleasantness, and ugliness.  Examples of divine evil often serve in judgment as what are called “plagues”, and as what believers call “miracles”.  Thus, evil appears in the accounts of Moses and the rebellion of Korah, Samuel calling forth a storm out of season, and Jesus calming the tempest.  See Numbers 16:  1-33, 1st Samuel 12:  16-18 and Mark 4:  35-41, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses.  And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door:  and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.  And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend.  And he turned again into the camp:  but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.  And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.  Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight:  and consider that this nation is thy people.  And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.  And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.  For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.  And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken:  for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.  And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.  And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.  (Exodus 33:  9-19, KJV)

THE BATTLE CRY:  “I Need You To Survive” is simple and consists in only some eight sentences.  Even so, this selection is a powerful and rich example of contemporary gospel music that properly ministers the Spirit of Prophesy.  This piece speaks from and to GOD, from the pastor and leaders of the assembly to the congregation as well as from and to each other as members of the worship community.  Hezekiah Walker & the Love Fellowship Choir (LFC) have voiced one of the most necessary commitments for members of any congregation within the church of Jesus Christ.  Readers are encouraged to hear this selection available from the album “The Essential Hezekiah Walker” as an MP3, and on video at YouTube.com.

Wade, here are few points Christian believers frequently use to keep their balance and correct focus upon GOD in the face of conflicting truths, contradictions, and opposing ideas from the holy writings as well as from criticisms, errors and malice from nonbelievers:

(1.)  The “hard part” when reading the Scriptures is that there are many subtleties (i.e., barely visible differences, unseen aspects) that must be discovered and realized through active exchange and fellowship with other believers, through private prayer, through practice of sacraments and unselfish service, and through thoughtful examination of various documents throughout the entire collection of sacred documents.

(2.)  Often, when considering the Scriptures, a believer’s focus should not be upon human behavior and conduct.  One must engage the revelation of GOD, that is, dwell upon what the Almighty is displaying and showing through the use of human events.  Readers are given an experience of the “divine point of view” wherein thousands of years and thousands of lives unveil patterns describing the nature of life, death, divinity, and all existence.

(3.)  The enormity and horror of Moses’ crime (the sin of Cain) is essential to created beings and living creatures being able to “see” the enormity of divine commitment to Creation.  More than simply the errors of harming another person, then fleeing judgment and justice, Moses also commits presumption (i.e., exercises authority without permission; we say, takes what belongs to another, steals) as if properly ordained to know and do the will of GOD.  GOD is to be understood as a spirit, a living essence that is not material; that uses form having dimension, yet, cannot be measured or weighed; and that functions in patterned ways that may be known through sacred actions and events.  Included are reproduction, birth, death, baptism, covenant, rebirth, repentance, judgment, redemption, salvation, and sanctification.

(4.)  At Creation, human potential included a capacity to develop and express life according to various natures (e.g., animal, human and divine).  Once sin introduced corruption to human awareness of GOD and to exercise of human self-will, the grace of GOD became increasingly visible as an essential aspect of divine person that operates against the continuous destruction that has been initiated.  By grace, through faith, men now receive a fresh endowment of divine being imparted as an indwelling spirit.  Included are the inseparable aspects of GOD we call faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, love, truthfulness, wisdom and wrath against sin.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  For example, (5.)  GOD proclaimed and revealed himself to Moses as one sovereign, who uses judgment to make the divine nature known as well as to transform the content and substance of humanity, and all things made.  Through demonstrations that only become clear by the ministry of Jesus Christ upon the earth and from the heavens, the truth unveiled before Moses and all the many prophets who followed is that many from mankind are to become immortal and incorruptible, while those having lost all divine content must be completely destroyed.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

New Disclaimer

A believer’s place within Divine Person, “I AM” as the name of GOD, and getting free of spiritual confusion are topics, today. Also, there is more on kindness to Mary. The “Yahoo! Answers” writer using ID “Republican catholic” (Level 1 with 0 points, a member since March 14, 2012) posted the following:

I am god so can you!?

If i let god into my heart does that mean i am god? In theory i could let god in me and control myself. If i do anything under the influence i can just blame it on him right? Who ARE YOU TO QUESTION GOD?

Additional Details

I mean let him control me.

i like to bend spoons when god controls me sometimes i do others thing some ppl hate but its gods choice they should respect that and thank me for giving them a chance to be close to god

THE BATTLE AXE: A Kindness to Mary? (04/21/2013)—(5.) In the same way respect to Jesus does not diminish or reduce the glory and honor to Almighty GOD and the Holy Spirit, and continues a believer’s acknowledgment of the authority and sovereign majesty of the Father, respect to Mary as the mother of Jesus does not conflict with or undermine ones faith in Christ, and takes nothing away from the glory of the GODhead. Typically, believers do not have complete and correct knowledge of sacred truth embracing Mary until they have made careful and detailed study. There are many subtle connections that must harmonize among the doctrines, the Gospel, and other teachings that are put forth; however, they all stand upon a single foundation, Jesus as the One Sent. (6.) In the public forum, many share their faith, or gospel (good news) thinking that every opinion is acceptable. They are surprised to find that even faith and “good news” must pass muster, and are evaluated and ranked according to fixed judgments that have been developed over many years, and tested within many cultures. Saying this another way: No childish insults, underdeveloped thinking, spiritual confusion, or vain rant may pass as benefit to others, comfort, encouragement, help, humility, kindness, mature insight, love, prophecy, religious belief, righteousness, understanding, or godly wisdom. (7.) From before the birth of Jesus there have been those who accuse Mary of prostitution, and question the virgin birth in order to justify their belief that GOD has not been righteous in covenant, has not fulfilled prophecy, and has not appeared in flesh. There were those who attacked Jesus to his face with those very slanders, and so we count it as “ancient evil.” Like many today, they sought to participate in a conversation regarding divinity that would be grounded only in carnal, material and social truth without also considering what GOD would speak about himself, his sacred operations, and his own divine purposes. Neither the things that offend GOD, nor the things that please him can be known and recognized by those who lack the holy spirit of life from GOD that should reside in every created being and living creature. One of the most distinctive features of mature faith is a reluctance to attack others, and a continuing restraint in dealing with errors and thrusts from those who are still developing. Mistakenly regarded as acceptance and approval of sin, it is an appearance of the peace that passes understanding. See 1st Timothy 6: 3-8, King James Version. (8.) Mature Christian believers obey a discipline that goes a long way toward eliminating gossip, slander and unkindness: Say nothing about anyone, even to GOD, that you can not say to their face. Where what you say will not benefit those you speak about, let it remain unsaid; and, do not talk about others, talk to them.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. (John 17: 17-23, King James Version)

Here are some points to consider that many have found helpful when getting free of spiritual confusion, and the destructive habit of bending spoons:

(1.) The phrase “I AM” appears in the holy writings to suggest the enormous breadth, depth and impact of divine existence upon created beings and living creatures. As a holy name whereby GOD is known and spoken of in the earth, casual use of “I am” is avoided. This is particularly so where a believer embraces covenant relationship with GOD, and the divine commandments to prohibit taking or using the name of GOD in vain displays.

(2.) The profound truth that GOD inhabits Creation cannot be correctly applied and understood apart from the ongoing operations of Divine Person deposited within the living as their anointing, or endowment. GOD is a spirit, and must be acknowledged through spirit substance and truth. Included are faith, holiness, humility, hope, joy, longsuffering, love, wisdom and wrath against sin.

(3.) Clear standards for recognition of divine presence, sacred purpose, and eternal judgment have all been “published” and made accessible in the earth along with an incarnate example of glory, obedience and reverence, Jesus Christ. Divine law, proclamations, promises, and prophesies have been given such that there should be “no question” when identifying what is, and what is not, holy intent. See 1st John 5: 17, 2nd John 1: 9-11 and 1st John 4: 6-8, KJV.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) When the word of GOD continues to have a controlling influence within a person’s awareness, Christ is said to abide within. The believer in Christ has place within the fullness of GOD, who is spirit; and GOD, who is spirit, has more than merely a place as co-existing. By eternal union of Creator, created, and universe, the living become expressions of Divine Person and instruments of divine will, rather than their own self-will and the self-will of others.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
