Today, topics include discipline, divine order, judging others, sacred rule, and sanctification within the church.  A little poison does not kill only a spot on a person’s tongue, or in their stomach; the life of the entire body becomes at risk.  The church of Jesus Christ is a very sensitive and sophisticated sacred body.  Sinners are to receive and respond to divine spirit substances that encourage permanent changes in their character, makeup, and personhood that will allow them to function as the new creation through Jesus Christ.  Once born again, developing believers must remain vigilant against threats that arise within their own local congregation as well as those that come from outside the body through diverse agents and institutions.  The dangers are not so much having to repel personal attacks, emotional conflicts, quarrels and physical violence as the damage by errors in sacred doctrine and practice along with spiritual confusion.  All have sinned and are in a sacred process of discovery, gradual growth, regeneration, and renewal that places members on different levels of duty, knowledge, opportunity, maturity, readiness, skill, and understanding.  Occasionally, rededication and revival must be encouraged for selected members by separation to eliminate worldly distractions (we say, shunning).  Thereby, their heartfelt works of cleansing, fasting, learning, meditation, and prayer may go to new levels of concentration and self-will directed by GOD.  One of the many fighters in the “Yahoo! As for first comment it is sad and please do not disrespect the faith of others and if you choose to live a life without faith then mostly sadness is what many get who doubt.
Update 2: There are many reasons some shun and would like to hear some more answers please.

“Anonymous”, the church founded by Jesus Christ as the new creation serves a GOD who is Creator, Deliverer, Redeemer, Savior, a GOD of Love, and a GOD of Judgment.  The process of divine tribunal has already begun for those who are a habitation of GOD through the Spirit, and will continue to the Advent (we say, the harvest, the Rapture, the Second Coming).  Many developing believers are being examined and sealed at this very hour.  In my understanding as a Christian, shunning comes into view not as an act of GOD; it is a collective act by the church as a full body to admonish, censure, and reprimand (yet not disgrace, dishonor, excommunicate, or punish) those members who are not upholding their duties, their pledges, and their obligations as part of the full assembly.  When children in the home neglect the chores they have been assigned by their parents, action must be taken to correct their understanding of why the task is necessary, and its importance and value to the household as well as how to correctly and more quickly complete the task along with whatever cleanup it may involve.  The sacred and prophetic works that come into view are edification and exhortation.  There should be communication that includes correction, demonstration, instruction, and “walk-through”.  While there is a focus on behavior modification and change, the primary goal for all members of the body is spiritual growth that is gradual, and that occurs in the most lasting way through discovery, fellowship, and sacred practice.

The church exists as a divinely provided mechanism to guide sinners to becoming Christ-like.  Yet, many request membership within the church as a means to self-development, self-expression, and self-promotion (some say, freedom; expressing free-will) that expands or extends aspects of their own inborn character and nature, not the endowments and gifts imparted at baptism and rebirth from the makeup of GOD (e.g., faith, holiness, humility, longsuffering, lovingkindness, purity, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin).

Both for the church to exist and for the church to “bear fruit” as a planting of GOD, the multiple differences and variations that appear among believers must become manifest as oneness without sameness.  Saying this another way, in addition to showing respect and speaking the truth throughout the body and at every level, there must be demonstrating accountability, listening, performing assigned duty, sacrifice, and unselfish service.  Shunning may appear within congregations as an acknowledgement of apostolic authority and counsel recorded within the Scriptures.  With that in view, shunning is not to be dismissed as merely arbitrary, hurtful, secular, and social.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  2nd Timothy 3:  1-5, King James Version (KJV):  1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,  3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,  4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;  5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:  from such turn away.

(2.)  1st Corinthians 5:  1-13, KJV:  1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife.  2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.  3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,  4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,  5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.  6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?  7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. (3.)  Matthew 18:  15-20, KJV:  15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone:  if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.  16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.  17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church:  but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.  18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven:  and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.  19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.  20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Today, reply is on comparing sacred and secular knowledge, and the life tools of intellect and logic against spirit content imparted from the makeup of GOD.  Where a reader claiming to know science can not understand and process what I am presenting in this blog, I would not raise a question about their intelligence, however, I might well ask them to consider whether they have received the fresh endowment of divine spirit available from GOD through Jesus Christ.  Correctly understood, dialogue on Christian substance and belief is never one on self-promotion through “me, myself, and I” in place of focus upon GOD, whose character, nature and substance is exalted, immense, and sovereign.  Just as comparing and contrasting Jesus Christ with the other persons comprising divine fullness (i.e., the GODhead; the Father and the Holy Spirit) is foolish and unproductive, seeking to judge, impose hierarchy, and rank the Son of the Highest against other men because they have shared mortality with him is as useless as attempting to compare the greatness of two athletes in the same sport as different as basketball stars Shaquille O’Neal and Stephen Curry.  Their accomplishments, physical endowments, skills, strategies, and opportunities within a game always will be very different.  A fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum using the ID “STEVAN” (Level 1 with 59 points, a member since August 10, 2017) posted the following:

STEVAN”, although Christ and Hawking both have displayed authentic humanity recognizable by their endurance and overcoming of suffering (not by their imperfection); and both have served as teachers sharing views of the origins of mankind, the spheres of life, and the process of the universe, many Christian believers will argue that it is inappropriate to compare sacred knowledge against secular knowledge, the operations for achieving temporal goals against those for accomplishing eternal purposes, and the using of finite tools from mathematics, philosophy and science (e.g., analysis, contrast, logic, measurement, synthesis, discursive thought) against the sacred operations and divine substance required to endow mankind with eternal life (e.g.,  faith, holiness, longsuffering, resurrection from the dead, revelation, and sanctification.)

Practicing the circumspection and restraint that appear as godly wisdom among Christians, mature believers would shrink from the task of comparing (judging?) Hawking against Sir Isaac Newton, who has been lauded as “the most original and influential theorist in the history of science.”  (An entire branch within the field of Physics has been named for Sir Isaac.)  Even so, it is more correct to acknowledge the complementary of their distinct contributions, rather than introduce a vain condition (one that lacks spirit matter from the makeup of divinity) insisting on competition and rivalry.  Within the church of Jesus Christ, developing believers often have erred seeking to compare ministries of the Apostles, particularly, Paul and Peter.  Such focus is a distraction grounded in carnal, material and social earthiness.  It is more correct to acknowledge and affirm the appearance of the Holy Spirit within all the apostles, and their works.  Included should be genuine fellowship, love, and oneness without sameness.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Acts 4:  10-14, King James Version (KJV):  10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.  11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.  12 Neither is there salvation in any other:  for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.  13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.  14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

(2.)  Ephesians 4:  4-8, KJV:  4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;  5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,  6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.  7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.  8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

forgiveness

 

Today, topics are forgiveness and suicide.  Many feel that, where acts of suicide are driven by depression or emotional and psychological vulnerability, compassion should be shown to the deceased.  Yet, those who kill themselves often are acting in haste to condemn everyone in their own lives and all who are around themselves.  Killing oneself can not be labeled as acceptable, or a godly act of courage and maturity.  Suicide emerges by operations of the flesh and of sin; and self-murder is never the product of the divine Spirit.  Given its eternal purpose and benefits, Jesus dying on the cross should never be spoken of as an act of suicide and self-destruction.  A new writer in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum who uses the ID “Callum” (Level 1 with 90 points, a member since November 29, 2017) posted the following:

“Callum”, because forgiveness is an expression of the character and makeup of divinity, many Christian believers regard forgiveness as a matter of “who GOD is,” of divine grace, of divine love, of His divine prerogative, and of His sovereign will, not a matter of who we are, whether or not we ask for forgiveness, whether or not we confess our faults, and what may have been the particular sin and specific wrongdoing a sinner has committed.  

Among Christians, “suicide” is ending ones own life, and the act of self-murder does not bring glory, honor, redemption or rest, for suicide denies that we are accountable to others who value our lives and rely on us, and that we may permanently damage them as well as ourselves (e.g., children, community, parents, spouse).  Killing oneself presumes upon the Creator, for a suicide (one who commit’s the act) transgresses sacred law by acting without divine permission (in effect, they steal divine authority and privilege from the owner and source of all that exists and has life). 

The operations of sin are suicidal, for they oppose the continued existence of all divine law, the Law Giver, and divine order throughout the entire universe.  The person who chooses suicide usurps and unlawfully condemns all the living; their self-condemnation is an act of exaggerated pride wherein they take the place of GOD in judgment.  Also, for those who commit suicide, there can be no discovery and realization of their error that might properly trigger the expression of godly sorrow for sin.  Any sacrifice for atonement can not be followed by a “life of repentance” where there is growth in commitment, trust, and understanding.  Christians are to consider the following from the Bible:

(3.)  Romans 6:  3-6, KJV:  3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?  4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:  that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.  5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:  6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

many antichrist already

 

Today, focus is on language in the Bible that speaks of the Antichrist and the antichrist spirit.  The individual described by several End Time prophesies who is called “Antichrist” is a political figure who will be a counterfeit of the Messiah.  As an ungodly pretender (i.e., one from royal lineage who makes an unlawful claim to royal inheritance), the Antichrist will seek to reign over the earth supported by the Beast, the False Prophet, and the Great Whore.  The “spirit of antichrist” is a condition in the makeup and substance of created beings and living creatures that results from the operations of sin that oppose the continued existence of sacred law, the Creator as Law Giver, and all divine order.  Not all who are sinners, nor all who are wicked will display the antichrist spirit in ways easily discerned, yet, they all will be influenced to receive the mark of the beast, and to obey the Antichrist.  A writer at “Yahoo! “Wendell”, mature members of the body of Christ (the church) and saints within the kingdom of GOD are being instructed to avoid spiritual confusion and deception that arises by the appearance of “many spirits” operating among us as “antichrists” and the single figure in the prophecies of the Scriptures who is spoken of as “that Wicked” and “the Anti-Christ.”  The sacred process to recognize and respond to spirit content within oneself, events, other people, prophecies, etc., is called “discernment”.  Developing believers are to practice discernment wherein they use their own endowment of spirit imparted from the makeup of divinity as a standard to examine the authenticity and godliness for things offered and shared as being from Jesus Christ and the Father.  Included are faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

The Bible presents many admonitions and warnings to believers on approaching and engaging spirits that are residing in the earth.  Believers receive these teachings as immutable and unchanging (that is, true in the time they were recorded, and still true to this day).  To examine, discern, and correctly acknowledge spirit meanings, quality, and values is not the same as making a divine judgment against another person for sin and ungodliness.  Our finite tools of emotion, intellect, philosophy and science do not fit created beings and living creatures to make the assignments of final judgment, for there are many subtleties (barely visible differences; hidden shifts and changes) that also must be taken into account and weighed.  Discernment should be applied when replying to questions such as those posed here, when sharing godly counsel, and when offering witness and testimony to spread the Gospel.

Many confuse the figures spoken of in prophecy that include Satan, the false prophet, the beast, the Deceiver, and those who fall way (called apostates).  Among both born-again believers and sinners, this confusion has increased widespread defiance, hidden fear, suspicion, and refusal to  cooperate with all authority figures (e.g., clergy, parents, public officials).  Careful, disciplined, and prayerful study are required to truly apprehend this material intended for priests and kings that is some of the most challenging truth from the Scriptures.  Here, casual reading rarely results in discovery, edification, and resources that are useful for ministry to others.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  1st John 2:  18-23, King James Version (KJV):  18 Little children, it is the last time:  and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.  19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us:  but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.  20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.  21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.  22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.  23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father:  [but] he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

(2.)  1st John 4:  1-6, KJV:  1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:  because many false prophets are gone out into the world.  2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God:  Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:  3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God:  and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.  4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them:   because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.  5 They are of the world:  therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.  6 We are of God:  he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

(3.)  2nd Thessalonians 2:  3-10, KJV:  3 Let no man deceive you by any means:  for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;  4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.  5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?  6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.  7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work:  only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.  8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:  9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,  10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Today, reply is on an unresolved conflict between an adult believer and several young musicians in his congregation.  As with other forms of prophetic demonstration, music ministry is a high privilege from GOD whereby divine things are provided that are simple yet profound, far-reaching in their sacred consequences, and rich in their spirit content.  Many in the church do not want to obey, or are unfamiliar with the “rules” that should be followed by those who prophesy (e.g., a man ought not prophesy with his head covered; a woman ought not prophecy with her head uncovered; wearing the whole armor of GOD, a man may prophesy wearing the helmet of salvation; for those joined in holy matrimony, a woman is “covered” by her husband, and her spouse by the Lord; saints will prophesy wearing the crown of life).  In the same way many miss that a piano, an electric guitar, or a zither is also a “stringed instrument” that may be used along with the harp or violin in praising GOD as urged by the Prophet and King, David, many miss that young people, may be prophets and spokespersons in service to GOD.  Even so, it is not incorrect to admonish all who enter the sanctuary of the church to be alert to those things associated with the lifestyles of artists and creative people (such as “bumper stickers” and labels on their drums or other personal property) that present proverbs and “wisdom” of the world that are contrary to the sacred guidance and instruction that come to us from GOD.  Rather than condemn anyone, or despair of their ever “growing up” and understanding, they are to be accepted, nourished, respected, and shared with as “developing believers” and those who are still “a divine work in progress” (like ourselves).  One of the fighters using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile data appears) posted the following:

 

This guy at church offends me and refuses to remove his stickers that offend me?

I am a singer in a church. My son(8) broke the drummers brother guitar at our church and now the guitarist refuses to play but he still comes as his brother is our drummer. I am 40. I find the stickers the drummer has on his drum set(in front of his bass drum) very offensive, he has some stickers from bands he enjoys on them they are not religious bands they are rock bands. He also has 3 stickers that say “think for yourself, don’t think like me or anyone else.” And one that says “wassup” and another that says “be who you wanna be not what they tell you.” I find all of those very offensive and don’t like my young son(8) seeing those the drummer refuses to remove them saying it is his drum set and he does what he wants with them. What would you do?

“Anonymous”, it sounds as if your pastor and others are not aware of some of these issues.  Even so, here are some points that may not be familiar, and usually are shared through the Holy Spirit as discovery:

Because music is so widely available in our society for amusement, entertainment, and relaxation, many within the church encounter spiritual confusion concerning the godliness, proper place, and eternal purpose of choirs and musicians for the family of GOD, and his household of faith.  On the one hand, most accept that music and singing may add to celebration, praise, and thanksgiving.  On the other hand, many fail to correctly understand that dance, “praise”, “prophecy” (i.e., comfort; nourishing and building up the spirit power and presence of the church (edification); exhortation (urging action be taken now) ), and spoken word (we say, poetry) also are important as tools used to give glory and honor to GOD. 

Correctly understood, choirs and musicians demonstrate the level of alertness, discipline, obedience, responsiveness, and restraint expressing love that is to be achieved by the entire worship body.  They appear within the sanctuary of a church (the most holy place within the building, because it is purified by the divine presence and set apart by the prayers of the congregation) as those who further cleanse, lift, and make fragrant (like incense) the offerings and sacrifices to GOD that are the “calves of our lips.”  The active presence who is Eternal GOD appears in the midst of the believers through the device of praise.  In addition to praise and worship, the use of music and song appears on the earth in keeping with the patterns revealed to the Patriarchs and Moses showing assembly, exaltation, and service performed in heaven by the holy angels, the four and twenty elders, and the sacred beasts of heaven.  Thus, the Psalms of David and those he appointed as music ministers served as liturgy and provided formal structure for worship along with confession, doctrine, guidance, and testimony.

Many are drawn to the church on the basis of their desire to gain, not to give.  Deceived by the world, and continuing the ignorance of our “old man,” we seek “freedom(?)”, popularity, prosperity, and success at one another’s expense, and in ways that are contrary to our makeup as vessels of divine spirit through baptism (i.e., death, burial of ones inborn spirit, resurrection as divine seed).  All who are “born again” must “grow up again” and become “mature again” by meeting life challenges and “growing pains” on the earth as well as enduring suffering and preparing to be fully transformed when Christ will appear in glory (we say, Advent, harvest, the Rapture, the Second Coming).

Establishing and maintaining the necessary fellowship with GOD and one another is not simple, for the process of divine salvation is one of discovery, gradual growth, and undergoing permanent changes as the children of the Most High.  We make many mistakes, and so we always seem to be in a process of correction.  Yet, herein is a clear indication as to “what’s love got to do with it?”  For it is by love we enter into giving, forgiveness, hope, and oneness without sameness.  Consider the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Psalms 22:  3, King James Version (KJV):  3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

(2.)  Zephaniah 3:  17, KJV:  17 The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

(3.)  John 4:  22-24, KJV:  22 Ye worship ye know not what:  we know what we worship:  for salvation is of the Jews.  23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth:  for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  24 God is a Spirit:  and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Today, points are shared on the present generation, prophecy, and final judgment.  While a present generation is correct to acknowledge, confess, and petition GOD to forgive the sins of their parents and forbearers (as seen in Ezra 9 and Daniel 9), it is foolishness to compare the sins of modern nations against those of ancient Israel.  Believers are unwise to focus on claiming their own salvation by judging others, even those whose sins are on record and already exposed.  More than this, judgment to pronounce damnation is fraught with subtlety (i.e., barely visible differences; hidden shifts in meaning, quality, and value) and should be regarded as the exclusive privilege of the King.  It is more correct that developing believers focus on their own walk with the Lord, and on achieving the highest levels possible for expressing their own godliness and righteousness.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Christians: Are we worse than our forefathers?

My Mum (who is a bible scholar) keeps quoting and reminding me of Jeremiah 16:12. She believes every scripture can be applied to today’s society. Do you believe that YOU have acted more wickedly than your ancestors?

Something feels wrong in my heart and intuition when I hear that. But they say the heart and intuition is deceptive.

“Anonymous”, the human predicament established through the error of the first pair, Adam, itself has not changed, and only responds to divinity acting through a myriad of sacred devices.  Thus, the operations of sin, the requirement that there be death and mortality, and opposition to the continued existence of divine law remain an enormous challenge to the Creation of GOD.  Even the appearance of divinity using human form (we say, flesh and blood) by a person from the GODhead (Jesus Christ), and the imparting of the Holy Spirit to reside within the living have not been enough to eliminate sin.

When Moses asked GOD to show his glory, he revealed himself to be a God of judgment, and exposed sin as a threat to all existence, even that of divinity.  The operations of sin promote nonexistence and the return to conditions of chaos, flux, and multiple streams of darkness.  The sins committed by a present generation will continue to have direction, effect and presence to the third and fourth generation that follows.  (In Scripture, a single generation is a period of 40 years:  do the math—40, 80, 120, 160 years.)  The following generations are not condemned and punished for that of their ancestors, yet, as the offspring of sinners they will be increasingly challenged; and must turn to GOD for relief, redemption, and salvation.

Finite human tools such as intellect, logic, philosophy, and science are not able to transform consciousness and self-will (we say, willpower) to completely reject and resist sin (sinners are even found among university graduates and faculty).  The divine process for mankind allows sinners to  receive atonement, rebirth, and sacred (not secular) knowledge through discovery, gradual growth, continuing sacred practices (we say, sacraments such as baptism, holy matrimony, penance, etc.), and maintaining fellowship with GOD through those who are anointed and sent.  To avoid spiritual confusion as you continue your course as a developing believer, consider the following points of admonition, proclamation, promise, and prophecy that are shared through the holy writings:

(1.)  Daniel 12:  1-4, KJV:  1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people:  and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time:  and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.  2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.  3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.  4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end:  many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

(2.)  Deuteronomy 32:  4-6, KJV:  4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect:  for all his ways are judgment:  a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.  5 They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children:  they are a perverse and crooked generation.  6 Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?

(3.)  Ecclesiastes 7:  9-11, KJV:  9 Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry:  for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.  10 Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.  11 Wisdom is good with an inheritance:  and by it there is profit to them that see the sun.

Caution Work in Progress

 

Today, points are shared on the human process and works that establish Christian believers in salvation.  In faith, many will speak “things that be not as if they already are,” and the sacred process is one of behaving consistently to act on and bring about what we have declared.  Thus, in the same way a complex chain of action/reaction follows a divine word of promise and prophecy, a believer may utter a word of forgiveness that will require years of change and growth before it is completely displayed and fulfilled throughout all their actions and attitudes.  Also, many are surprised and dismayed to find that conflict and disagreements continue to appear within the body of Christ, the church.  What they have to realize is that the meaning, purpose, and value of what seems strange and unwelcome behaviors are very different than that within the world.  Along with showing humility, piety, and reverence among themselves as believers, there are needs and settings that require Christians to be aggressive, critical, decisive, and practical (“wise as serpents, gentle as doves”).  Correctly understood, then, salvation is not a “one-time” event, nor is it only a divine operation that miraculously appears in the blink of an eye.  Salvation also means accepting and enduring judgment with correction now, continuing the exposure of error and sin as well as the faithful execution of commitment to the Gospel as a new creation through Jesus Christ.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! My parents run a bible study group thing where people from their church come over once a week and discuss Christian related stuff.

However, they spend a significant portion of the time bitching about certain people, pointing out their flaws, putting them down and being very judgemental.

Can they really be called Christians if they have this much disregard for what the bible teaches?

“Anonymous”, Christian believers are now engaged within the process of their own divine judgment, such that, when Christ will appear, they will be “clear” to join him in eternity.  Our transformation to exist as immortal, incorruptible companions of divinity has already begun, and will be completed soon.  In the same way life for a new born must unfold over the course of an indefinite period of time (a month, years, decades? We say, a lifetime), spiritual growth for those reborn as followers of Jesus Christ is an extended process of discovery, acquiring sacred knowledge and undergoing countless permanent changes in ones character, makeup, and spirit content that, once begun, continues for eternity.  Like diamonds that are produced by heat and pressure, or gold and silver that are purged and refined as ore and rough rocks within a burning furnace, sinners must be altered through multiple sacred operations that include baptism (death and burial of ones inborn spirit, and rebirth from divine DNA, so to speak), meeting life challenges on the earth, enduring “growing pains,” and suffering.

Those who are “born again” also must “grow up again,” and become emotionally, psychologically and spiritually ripe (mature) for harvest when they will meet the Lord in the air (we say, the Advent, the Rapture, the Second Coming).  To outsiders looking on, the church as a household of faith often will appear to be filled with conflict, disappointment, enmity, friction, and misunderstanding.  The salvation we speak of is anchored in Jesus dying on the cross, and believers receiving atonement and propitiation for sin through his blood.  Even so, for developing believers salvation also is a dynamic, interpersonal life process.  Yes, there are giving, performing good works, prayer, and study of the holy writings; however, these (behind the scenes) demand edification for such competence and special skill as balance, listening, forgiving, persevering, respect, restraint, waiting, weighing, and yielding. 

All Christian believers are to become vessels of divine spirit imparted from the makeup of GOD.  Included are faith, forbearance, holiness, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Even so, there are numberless differences among believers:  All are not the same age, gender, nationality, or race; all are not on the same level of maturity; all do not have the same duties and responsibilities.  Believers are required to support one another by sharing admonition, counsel, critique, and guidance.  Through practice, growth, reflection, and unselfish service, all become equally able to realize that, through Jesus Christ, they now are endowed with a fullness of divinity within (we say, oneness without sameness) that continues under the authority of the Father.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Galatians 2:  8-18, King James Version (KJV):  8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)  9 And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.  10 Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.  11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.  12 For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles:  but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.  13 And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.  14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?  15 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,  16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law:  for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.  17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.  18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

(2.)  Matthew 18:  15-20, KJV:  15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone:  if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.  16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.  17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church:  but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.  18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven:  and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.  19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.  20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  2nd Peter 1:  2-12, KJV:  2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,  3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:  4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:  that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.  5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;  6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;  7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.  8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.  10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure:  for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:  11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
