Today, the reply is on atheist disbelief existing as an aspect of reason and science, yet, being no alternative to acknowledgement, commitment, and faith that respond to the existence of divine fullness.  The problems generated by atheism center on false and logically flawed professions to justify disbelief; the endorsement of pseudo-intellectualism; and the communication, proliferation, and transfer of vanity (the lack of divine content and sacred substance).  Using the disciplines and rules for genuine scientific inquiry, there are multiple times and settings where divinity is an inappropriate hypothetical concept that does not further clarification, discourse, and formal dialog.  In such cases, divinity correctly should be excluded as an unworkable abstraction.  That this is so does not discount the truth that spiritual events and operations require discipline, knowledge, and practice that are sacred in content, operation, and outcome as seen through fasting, prayer, and exorcism.  One of the many fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:

Why is it that by many definitions atheism is very stupid?

Even Carl Sagan said

“An atheist is someone who is certain that God does not exist, someone who has compelling evidence against the existence of God. I know of no such compelling evidence. Because God can be relegated to remote times and places and to ultimate causes, we would have to know a great deal more about the universe than we do know to be sure that no such God exist”

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;  And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him:  and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.  He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.  And they brought him unto him:  and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.  And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.  And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him:  but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.  Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.  And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.  When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.  And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him:  and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.  But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.  And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?  And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.  (Mark 9:  17-29, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, science does not go far enough in reaching all human needs.  Finite carnal reason and logic that serve as the platform for atheist thought are not complex, truly intellectual, or profound.  Simply put, and using common sense terms, two rules prevail:  (1) “seeing is believing;” and (2) the only phenomena of life that is fit for the focus of science must display measurable dimensions (e.g., amount, density, height, length, weight), and must be subject to experimental manipulation.  The human mind is bombarded with enormous amounts of data and information from moment to moment.  Included are signals from organs and tissues that make up the material body, emotions (e.g., anger, fear, sorrow), operations of the mind (e.g., clairvoyance, imagination, recall, thought), and sensations (e.g., hearing, seeing, tasting, touching).  There must be principles, rules and standards in place that establish order, determine benefit, and permit the recognition of priority conditions and unmet needs.

Properly understood, science and its promotion of secular knowledge, is a peculiar accord and covenant for shared meaning, quality, and value that denies and excludes consideration of everything that has divinity as its cause, makeup, origin, and process.  The excellence and usefulness of science turns on its attention to detail through analysis; its establishment of predictability and validity through precise measurement and repetition; and its being able to identify fixed points of reference within complex, hidden, or obscured sequences.  Thus, in the same way children who can recite their ABCs are not foretelling the future, or reading the mind of their teacher when saying the alphabet, yet, they know “XYZ” is coming, science, too, is a limited, plain, and simple element for understanding the fullness of life.  (While children may recite the alphabet perfectly, many still can not read and write.  They must gain skill to perform the routines of combination and permutation used when sounding out or spelling words; and they must practice to develop comprehension.)

Like the frameworks of time and space, secular knowledge is an adjunct, an additional tool, and a further provision from divinity along with sacred knowledge, and is not in place of sacred knowledge.  (Has the automobile completely eliminated the usefulness of a bicycle?)  Mankind has very real, unmet emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs that even medical science does not address.  Included are needs for forgiveness, peace, relief from human error and sin (even scientists are included within the class of “sinners”), respect, and truth that directs and sustains the highest levels for human potential.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  John 4:  24,  King James Version (KJV):  24 God is a Spirit:  and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

(2.)  Romans 10:  1-9, KJV:  1 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.  2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.  3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.  4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.  5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.  6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)  7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)  8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart:  that is, the word of faith, which we preach;  9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

There are many more verses and passages that could be cited.  (For example, (3. ) Romans 1:  16-22, KJV:  16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:  for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.  17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:  as it is written, The just shall live by faith.  18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;  19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.  20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

The Two Jerusalems

THE JERUSALEM NOW AND THE COMING HOLY CITY

Today, reply is on the shared sacred origin, eternal purpose, and ongoing process for both Christianity and Judaism.  Correctly understood, “new wine must be put into new bottles,” the focus must be on divinity, for it is that GOD has used mankind to accomplish specific sacred works, not that mankind has used GOD.  The establishment of the Tabernacle, the Temple, and Jerusalem as the Holy City were all done to make visible the pattern of things in heaven as well direct the minds of men to the things that are to come.  The embodiment of divinity in flesh and human form, and the death of Jesus Christ on the cross has served to affirm the divine commitment to Creation, and depict the utter destruction of sin.  Even so, for Christians, the same cultural and secular history that serve as an heritage and platform for social identity as a Jew is (1) a foundation for divine revelation that makes Deity knowable and known to created beings and living creatures; (2) a sphere of existence, life, and active presence wherein divinity appears and expresses sovereign will (e.g., judgment, divine law, sanctification, wrath against sin); (3) a device for redemption and salvation that allows the living to recognize and resist, yet, does not completely eliminate the operations of sin; and (4) the sacred knowledge vital for comprehending divine operations to transform those joined to divinity through the Son of GOD to exist as immortal and incorruptible.  The establishment, events within, and operations of Israel as a kingdom or nation on the earth must be understood as a very small part of a vast divine work intended to impart spirit content from the makeup of divinity.  GOD fashioned the first pair (Adam) to display the image of GOD, and continues to use the living to demonstrate and proclaim his character, nature, makeup, ownership, and sovereignty.  Through his fellowship, friendship and promises to Abraham; the covenant agreements from the time of Moses; and the commitments to the dynasty of David, GOD became a certain hope of the Hebrews, and would manifest as the protector of ancient Israel.  Even so, GOD is never to be regarded as having become a material thing, their chattel, their possession, or their private property.  A fighter in the “Yahoo! What does biblical history have to do with Christianity?

Jesus never said the gentiles could have the Jewish bible. Jesus also never said they could rename it the “Old Testament”.
Biblical history is Jewish history.

https://www.cnsnews.com/commentary/eric-...

So why do Christians feel vindicated when something from Jewish history is dug up?

Update: Atheists don’t deny Judaism because it is an actual culture. Whereas Christianity is just a religion.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:  Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.   Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid:  yea, we establish the law.  (Romans 3:  29-31, King James Version, KJV)

“Dr Yes level 9”, be careful not to confuse secular history and sacred revelation.  The GOD who made use of ancient Israel is has sovereign authority and power over more than a single ethnic group having peculiar cultural traditions.  Consider the following that addresses the GOD of Israel as the GOD of the whole earth:

1.  For mankind on the earth to apprehend the existence and operations of divinity, there must be a consciousness and process among created beings and living creatures that responds to the existence of Deity as the origin and source for the spheres of life and all that appear within them.  While Deity (we also may say, the fullness of divinity; the GODhead; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) may appear occasionally, and not use a single, unchanging carnal, material, or physical form, there must be mechanisms among the living for recognition that divinity is an “active presence;” there must be aspects of personhood that allow communication, exchange, interaction, and continuing relationship; and the divine essence (we also say, breath, spirit, Word) must be manifest using the elements of continuum (we say, past, present, and future) from the finite frameworks of time and space.  Anything less would result in chaos, flux, and multiple streams of formless matter in place before the founding of heaven and earth.

2.  The living must manipulate a vast array of data from their senses (e.g., appetite, hearing, seeing, tasting, touching) and impose order on disparate experiences using features of the mind such as emotion, intellect, imagination, and recall.  They also are to contain deposits of spirit matter as aspects of their own finite makeup, whereby GOD is understood as knowable, accessible, and approachable.  The unchanging priorities and stability that describe divine “personhood” include the elements of immortality, incorruption, eternal purpose, purity, and truth.  Thus, a sacred process of revelation has been continuing on earth that may be spoken of for mankind as development, and unfolding spiritual progression.  In the same way there are multiple traits, behaviors, and expressions that distinguish individuals, Christian believers increasingly acknowledge that GOD is the sum and totality of all divine spirit substance.  Included are balance, completeness, faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

3.  Christians receive the Bible as a collection of holy writings that document the appearance of GOD (both in heaven and on earth) by using thousands of events within thousands lives over the course of thousands of years.  Where the Jewish people are named as the first guardians and keepers of this sacred library pertaining to holy gifts and tools that have come by revelation, Christian believers are the final recipients of these divine things as beneficiaries, heirs, and a new creation through Jesus Christ.  In addition to divine law, proclamations, promises and prophecy, the use of specific individuals as agents in service to GOD appear.  Bible reports also highlight the divine use of family, tribes, inheritance, and priesthood along with GOD’s use of assemblies and collectives such as nations, kingdoms, and one-world empire (e.g., Egypt, Rome, Babylon).  To continue mankind’s relationship with divinity GOD has required the participation of Gentiles as well as Jews; and has shown unwavering support that includes atonement, forgiveness, Incarnation, reconciliation, repentance, and even, resurrection from the dead.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended regarding the person of Jesus Christ.  (For example, 4.  Jeremiah 9:  23-26, King James Version (KJV):  23 Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:  24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth:  for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.  25 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will punish all them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised;  26 Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness:  for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.

Colossians 1:  16-22, KJV:  16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:  all things were created by him, and for him:  17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.  18 And he is the head of the body, the church:  who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.  19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;  20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.  21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled  22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Spiderwick Phoenix

From the Spiderwick Chronicles, a series of 5 children’s books for ages 9-12 by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black, published 2003-2004.  I first mistakenly took this plate that describes the Phoenix as being from Audubon.

Today, personal testimony is shared on the value to Christian believers of idolatry, mythology, and alternative belief systems (e.g., Buddhism, Hindu, Islam).  The mature Christian asserts that what he speaks and thinks are products from the operation of GOD within man, yet, accepts personal accountability for his use of the gifts and endowments from GOD.  All are challenged to apply and be fruitful through autonomy, balance, boldness, focus, restraint, and self-government.  Readers who have followed the development of my written works from the 1970’s have seen that, for me, mysteries of the phoenix come into view that include the Incarnation of divinity, rebirth through fire and judgment, immortality, and the apprehension of sacred wisdom.  The truest forms of divine wisdom instruct against such elements as anger, fear, hate, love of death, exaggerated pride, prejudice, and presumption.  A fighter in the “Yahoo! How should Christians deal with mythology-related things?

What I mean is anything related to the myths of any culture or religion, from gryphons (Greek) to medieval European legends and the Ramayana (Indian). They are “myths” because they are usually about subjects that are not true, but were so treasured by their cultures for making their histories somewhat more interesting.

However, mythology also contains certain elements that are unacceptable to Christian laws, such as other gods and spirits, idolatry, and mysticism. How should Christians deal with such things, including Christians who enjoy mythology-related matters?

Should they use them with caution, or completely avoid them for compromising their beliefs?
Update: I prefer that the Christians should answer this question. Many atheists already consider Christianity itself to be “mythology”, so they do not need to answer.
Update 2: In short, are mythology-related things acceptable to Christians (as long as they do not trap themselves into believing them), or not?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;)  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;  (2nd Corinthians 10:  3-5, King James Version, KJV)

“Yaw Jian fong”, here is something I will share that has not come from the Adversary.  Christians are to be “in the world,” yet, not “of the world.”  As developing believers who are not ripe (mature) for harvest by Jesus at his Second Coming (we also say, Advent, his appearing, the Rapture), Christians focus on the acquisition of sacred knowledge and spirit content conveyed through doctrine and the holy writings, and imparted through discovery, fellowship with other believers, gradual growth, learning, and ongoing sacred practice (e.g., praise, prayer, sacrifice, unselfish service, and worship).  Given that the consciousness and self-will (we also say, willpower) of Christians is transformed by operations of divinity, Christians are a “new creation” that exists on a higher plane as well as that of the world.

Following my graduation from the University of Chicago (U of C), whose registered heraldic coat of arms displays a legendary figure, (the red phoenix) as a symbol of learning and wisdom, I was privileged to teach at Federal City College, here, in Washington, DC (that is now respected as the University of the District of Columbia).  This school also uses a form of the phoenix (the firebird).  During late 1970, I decided to build a book publishing house to preserve a personal testimony as a Christian believer that would further nourish and prepare others as the body of Christ world-wide.  Being an African American, who was not able to garner necessary support after designing a system for public education of Black children when I attended school at Harvard and U of C—and understanding that for Black lives to matter, we might have to accomplish our goals and secure respect by dint of arms.  To admonish and caution those at our much touted schools of divinity and theology, oriental institutes, and seminaries who would leave me “marooned”, I chose a coat of arms bearing a black phoenix.  When appealing to educated men, such as myself, symbols in and from the world operate as a bridge to dialogue and exchange.

In addition to dramatic and legendary accounts, complete and properly configured belief systems should address the nature of knowledge and knowing; the origins of existence and life; time, space, and other frameworks that connect discrete and disparate meanings, standards, and values as well as descriptions for the otherwise invisible, unknowable and unknown actors, agents, and causes who have brought about the possibilities and things that are actual (i.e., things carnal, material, secular, and social that have measurable dimensions).

Christian belief does use parables (object lessons), verbal descriptions, and illustrations from oral traditions.  Even so, Christianity is clearly far from being founded on a platform of fables (accounts that use animals acting and speaking to provide moral instruction), superstitions, and accounts of the occult.  Every Christian begins as a sinner who must undergo a transformation that is so comprehensive and profound, believers are instructed to say, You must be born again.  Existing as a full and mature Christian requires inseparable aspects of spirit content from the makeup of divinity.  Included are faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, respect, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

Of course, there is far more that could be said.  (For example, according to world history (that is secular), by relying on the finite and temporal tools of mankind (e.g., emotion, idolatry, intellect, logic, carnal reason, philosophy, and science) there will never be more available in racist nations than apartheid, “Bantu education,” and the teachings that Blacks despair and hold to self-destruction nor can Black lives in America, and all lives through out the globe, be lived with freedom to explore, grow, share, and realize human potential that includes a capacity to demonstrate and display divine substance.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

One Stream IntertwinedA Depiction of The Fullness of Divinity Streaming As A Single Deity Who Presents Personhood Through 3 Discrete Aspects

Today, thoughts are shared on the Holy Spirit, and differences between divine and human “personhood”.  The “mystery” of the Holy Spirit (we also say, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth) is his existence as invisible substance (we say, spirit), and his undeniable appearance through deeds and works.  The sacred operations and process of GOD include affirmation, covenant, discovery, edification, forbearance, gradual growth, posing and responding to questions with revelation, giving and requiring respect as well as appearing through ongoing exchange and relationship.  Inseparable aspects of the full array for divine substances include elements that together exist, interact, and can be perceived by created beings and living creatures as higher order entities who are accountable as the causes, origins, and source for meaning and objects having quality and value.  The three divine persons display authority, immortality and incorruption, and are a single active presence.  Thus, aspects of personhood displayed by the Holy Spirit should be discerned as including balance, comfort, compassion, consciousness, gratitude, interdependence, motive, oneness without sameness, purpose, and restraint.  A fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum using the ID “Monica P” (Level 6 with 16,494 points, a member since July 15, 2008) posted the following:

If you believe The Holy Spirit is a person please tell why?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities:  for we know not what we should pray for as we ought:  but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.  And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.  Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called:  and whom he called, them he also justified:  and whom he justified, them he also glorified.  What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?  He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?  (Romans 8:  26-32, King James Version, KJV)

“Monica P”, here are some thoughts you may find helpful on divine possibilities:

Many mature Christian believers continue to describe the full character, makeup, and substance of divinity as the GODhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit).  Divine “personhoood” (we also say, person and personness) is acknowledged as an inseparable aspect of divinity in accordance with the appearance of multiple divine operations (e.g., creation, forgiveness, judgment, reconciliation, salvation); the application and provision of “sacred” not “secular” knowledge; the institution of sacred practices (we say, sacraments such as baptism, confession, holy matrimony, repentance); and the embodiment of spirit substance and sovereign will (e.g., divine law, praise, priesthood, the church).

Where we speak of GOD as “the Trinity,” we are using a language and sequencing device for grouping concepts and ideas (we say, “analysis” to acknowledge discrete parts that make up a whole).  Properly understood, the fullness of immortal, incorruptible GOD can not be cut up, dissected and sectioned into smaller units within the frameworks of time and space by using finite human tools (e.g., emotion, intellect, logic, philosophy, carnal reason, science).  Even so, fixed and regular patterns do appear that allow us to consider specific operations of GOD among men that include the following:

(1.)  The Holy Spirit that operated in the Creation acted with direction and purpose that describe personhood, being in accord with others, and responding to a shared standard when putting forth the spheres of life (heaven and earth).

(2.)  The Son of GOD imparted balance, existence, life, divine personhood, presence, and more to establish mankind as a living soul having the “image” of GOD (we also say, life essence, breath, spirit, Word).

(3.)  The active presence who is the Holy Spirit appears within continuous covenant relationships using elements to be visible among men such as blood, fire, water, praise, prayer, proclamation, promise, and prophecy.

(4.)  In water baptism there are death, burial and resurrection of ones inborn spirit with rebirth from divine DNA, so to speak.  Deposits of inseparable spirit substance are imparted to mankind by the Holy Spirit that include faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, meekness, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  The Holy Spirit provided gifts of spirit process and substance to the early church at Pentecost to authenticate the divinity of Christ; comfort, build up, and encourage the believers to continue the ministry and work of Christ as well as to begin their preparation for the return of Jesus (we say, Advent, harvest, the Rapture, the Second Coming). )  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

How unsearchable are. His judgments and His ways.

Today, reply is on morality as a result of GOD using human form and social relationships.  While the persons of the GODhead do exchange, influence one another, and interact as three distinct appearances (manifestations), the fullness of divinity appears as a single Being who displays oneness without sameness.  Obedience and rank do not describe what occurs within and through the GODhead so much as accord and shared intent.  Even among those who are not religious believers there are clear and specific traits thought to be necessary for an exalted being or “god” as well as a long list of features that are seen when true godliness and holiness are absent.  For example, many require there be authority, goodness, immortality, integrity, order, righteousness, truth, and wisdom with disqualifying flaws and faults understood as arbitrariness, confusion, inconsistency, lying, malice, nastiness, exaggerated pride, and self-destructiveness.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile data shared) posted the following:

Why should God be moral if there is no one for him to answer to?

Christians say “Why should a social species such as us humans be moral if there is no one to answer to?”

Well, why should God be moral when he has no one to answer to?

If you can understand why God can, why is it so impossible to understand how a social species such as humans can?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,  Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?  Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.  Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.  Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?  Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;  When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?  Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?  When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,  And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,  And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further:  and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?  (Job 38:  1-11, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, here’s a response I respect as sharing the abundance from GOD through Jesus Christ:  Because the GOD we worship is more than an abstraction, or an impersonal, intangible object, for many Christian believers it is implicit (i.e., not stated, yet, understood in what is expressed) when considering divinity that the characteristics, makeup, process and substance of GOD exists as complete, exalted, independent, righteous, self-emanating, and unique.  GOD has imparted consciousness, life essence (we say, breath, spirit, Word) and self-will to mankind.  Thus, the Creator also makes himself known by communication, exchange, and interaction through ongoing relationships.  There is no revealed origin of Deity, and the fullness of GODhead (the totality of being described using three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) ) is acknowledged and affirmed as expressing balance, feeling, holiness, person, presence, purpose, thought, and more.

Developing Christian believers are not encouraged to assume or propose that morality is a product of finite human tools such as animal intelligence and instinct, female intuition, logic, carnal reason, sensation (hearing seeing tasting touching, etc.), social consensus, or self-will (we also say, human willpower).  As an inseparable aspect of divinity, morality must be understood as defining, fixed and immutable along with such features as faith, holiness, immortality, integrity, oneness without sameness, purity, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Judgment, correction, forgiveness, and mercy appear as devices to accomplish divine purposes that include eternal life, reconciliation, redemption, salvation, and the second death.

There is no revealed context, frameworks such as time and space, or spheres of life that impose boundaries and limits on the possibilities of GOD.  Certainty (being confident and sure; conviction of truth) regarding claims and descriptions of divine being is accomplished through operations of faith and other divine content imparted to created beings and living creatures.  Thus, anointed apostles, prophets and other spokespersons may be used, and sacred events (we say, miracles) and divine visitations will not be repeated.  The features put forth by divinity can be correctly regarded as standards and values for knowing GOD.  Included are divine law, covenant promise, divine prerogative, prophecy, eternal purpose, and sovereign will.  Consider again the following that uses language from the holy writings:

(1.)  Deuteronomy 32:  39-40, King James Version (KJV):  39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me:  I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal:  neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.  40 For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.

(2.)  Deuteronomy 4:  35-36, KJV:  35 Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.  36 Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee:  and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  Exodus 34:  5-8, KJV:  5 And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.  6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,  7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.  8 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is on the importance of sacred “evidence” instead of “instinct” when seeking sacred truth.  A fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Nerdy Keith” (Level 7 with 37,633 points, a member since April 21, 2012) posted the following:

Is relying on evidence rather than instinct the better choice?

This was asked previously and a few of you felt I was not clear enough on the purpose of the question so I will explain.

I have heard a few persons of faith claim that atheists lack instinct due to relying too much of skepticism and logic. But too little on instincts. I have a suspicion that the word “instincts” in this case is an alternative word for “gut feeling”.

I simply responded with evidence is important. What are your views on this issue?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  For by it the elders obtained a good report.  Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.  (Hebrews 11:  1-3, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  About Using “Sacred Logic” (11/19/2017); Without the Divine Image? (10/15/2017); The Cross and Arbitrary Differences (06/17/2016); Bible and Spirit (04/26/2014); Personality? (04/27/2014); Salvation for Atheists? (06/14/2013); Church is Good? (06/15/2013)

“Nerdy Keith”, in the same way basketball is not the evidence for baseball, football and hockey simply because they all exist as organized athletic competition, animal instinct, imagination, logic and recall are not evidence of divinity simply because they exist as conceptual, intangible, invisible, aspects of mind.  Correctly understood, objects and operations that pertain to Christian godliness and spiritual beliefs may only be properly recognized and responded to when compared to and contrasted against other elements and features that also contain and convey the same spirit substance imparted to mankind from the makeup of divinity.  (e.g., events, divine law, oneself, other persons, and the holy writings).  Saying this another way, spiritual things must be spiritually discerned.  Christian belief is a full and closed system; therefore, the evidence for sacred truth is itself sacred truth:  the evidence for faith is faith, the evidence for righteousness is righteousness, and the evidence for the Spirit of GOD is the Spirit of GOD.

Acknowledging GOD as the origin for all that exist and have life, we speak of a Creator as the source of our life essence (we say, breath, spirit, Word).  Mankind is to continually display the “image of GOD,” that is, the character, makeup, and spirit content that describe divinity.  Even so, as a created being and living creature, mankind is capable of displaying an animal, human, or divine nature; may present elements from all three at the same time; and is vulnerable to the operations of sin that dominate awareness and self-will in opposition to divine existence.  Instinct is a feature of animal intelligence generated through operations of the flesh such as appetite (hunger, thirst, sexual cravings), sensation (hearing, seeing, tasting, touching) and emotion/mental functions (anger, fear, sorrow).  Divine intelligence is ascribed as sacred knowledge, revelation, and imparted spirit content from GOD (e.g., faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, wrath against sin.)

Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible provided from testimony and witness under oath declared during sacred judgment:

(1.)  1st Corinthians 12:  3, King James Version (KJV):  3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed:  and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

(2.)  1st Corinthians 2:  12-14, KJV:  12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.  13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:  for they are foolishness unto him:  neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Today, focus is on the Bible as a single source of correct sacred knowledge for Jews, Christians, and others.  Christian believers are to accept that there is only one continuous, multifaceted revelation of divinity that has been going forth throughout existence intended to make Deity knowable, known, accessible and approachable.  By receiving inseparable aspects of spirit content from the makeup of GOD (e.g., faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, meekness, wrath against sin), men and women living on the earth are being made fit to enter into intimate and personal relationships with GOD, and experience the Creator in ways that are orderly and regular, yet, dynamic and organic.  The Jews, as a people have been the heirs for the priesthood from GOD delivered to Adam, and supported by divinity as those who demonstrate, obey, preserve, and publish divine law and sacred oracles.  Even so, as with Christians in the coming day of the Lord, only a remnant from among the Jews will be acknowledged as part of the Savior’s harvest when he returns (i.e., his appearing; the Advent; the Rapture; the Second Coming).

It is written:

Ephesians 1:  7-11, King James Version (KJV):  7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;  8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;  9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:  10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:  11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

Kehillah in Ephesus 1:  7-11, Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB):  4 Just as He picked us out to be part of Hashem’s Bechirim (Chosen Ones) before the hivvased tevel (foundation of the world), that we should be Kadoshim and without mum (defect, VAYIKRA 22:  20) before Him in ahavah:  [VAYIKRA 11:  44; 20:  7; SHMUEL BAIS 22:  24; TEHILLIM 15:  2]  5 Having provided the yi’ud merosh (predestination) for us to be chosen as adopted bnei brit through Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach Yehoshua to Himself, according to the chafetz (good pleasure) of His ratzon (will),  6 To the tehilat kavod of the Chen v’Chesed Hashem of Him (to the praise of the glory of His grace) by which Hashem freely favored us in the Moshiach HaAhuv.  7 In Him we have the pedut (redemption, Geulah release on payment of ransom) through the [kapporah] dahm of Moshiach [YESHAYAH 53:  10-12; DANIEL 9:  26; BAMIDBAR 19:  20], the selichat chatoteinu (forgiveness of our sins), according to the osher (wealth) of His Chen v’Chesed Hashem (grace of G-d);  8 Which He lavished upon us,  9 In all chochmah (wisdom) and binah (understanding), having made hisgalus (revelation) to us of the sod of His ratzon (mystery of His will), His chafetz (good pleasure), according to the etza (counsel, plan of G-d) which Hashem set forth in Moshiach:  10 For a pekudat Hashem (stewardship of G-d), a plan for the fullness of time, gathering up all things in Moshiach, both the things in Shomayim and the things on Ha’Aretz in Him.  11 In Moshiach we have also obtained a nachalah (allotted inheritance, TEHILLIM 16:  5-6), having been predestined according to the tochnit Hashem (purposeful and willed plan of G-d), who works all things after the counsel of His ratzon,

One of the fighters using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile data supplied) posted the following:

Can someone clarify which part of the bible is for the Jews, which part is for everyone else, and where it says in the bible that it is so?

It is the entire OT for the Jews, and the entire NT for everyone else?

But some things confuse me, like when Jesus said he didn’t come to change the law.. so why did the law change then?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Revelation 7:  4-17, King James Version (KJV):  And I heard the number of them which were sealed:  and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.  Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.  Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.  Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.  Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.  After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;  And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.  And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,  Saying, Amen:  Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.  And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?  And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.  Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple:  and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.  They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.  For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Kehillah in Ephesus 2:  4-17, Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB):  And I heard the mispar (number) of the ones having been sealed, 144,000, having been marked with the chotam (seal) from kol shivtei Bnei Yisroel (every tribe of the Sons of Israel),  Of the shevet of Yehudah, 12,000 having been sealed; of the shevet of Re’uven, 12,000, of the shevet of Gad, 12,000,  Of the shevet of Asher, 12,000, of the shevet of Naphtali, 12,000, of the shevet of M’nasheh, 12,000,  Of the shevet of Shim’on, 12,000, of the shevet of Levi, 12,000, of the shevet of Yissass’khar, 12,000,  Of the shevet of Z’vulun, 12,000, of the shevet of Yosef, 12,000, of the shevet of Binyamin, 12,000.  After these things I looked, and, hinei, a great multitude, which to number no one was being able, out of every nation and from shevatim (tribes) and haumim (the peoples) and lashonot (tongues), standing before the Kes (Throne) and before the SEH (Lamb, SHEMOT 12:  3; YESHAYAH 53:  7 Moshiach), each clothed with a kittel and lulavim in their hands.  And they cried with a kol gadol (loud voice), saying, Yeshu’at Eloheinu is of Hashem, our G-d, the One sitting on the Kes (Throne), and of the SEH (Lamb, SHEMOT 12:  3; YESHAYAH 53:  7 Moshiach).  And all the malachim stood around the Kes (Throne) and the Zekenim (Elders, SHEMOT 12:  21) and the Arbah Chayyot and they fell before the Kes (Throne) on their faces and they worshiped Hashem, saying, [TEHILLIM 3:  8]  Omein, the bracha (blessing) and the kavod (glory) and the chochmah (wisdom) and the hodayah (thanksgiving) and the hod (honor) and the oz (power) and the gevurah (strength) be to Hashem Eloheinu l’Olelamei Olamim. Omein.  And one of the Zekenim (Elders, SHEMOT 12:  21) answered, saying to me, These ones, each wearing a kittel, who are they and from where did they come?  And I said to him, Adoni, you have da’as. And he said to me, These are the ones coming out of HaTzarah HaGedolah (The Great Tribulation, Mt. 24:  29) and each washed his kittel and whitened it in the dahm of the SEH (Lamb, SHEMOT 12:  3; YESHAYAH 53:  7 Moshiach).  Therefore, they are before the Kes (Throne) of Hashem and serve Him yomam valailah in His Beis Hamikdash, and the One sitting on the Kes (Throne) will pitch the tent of His Mishkan over them. [YESHAYAH 4:  5]  They will hunger no more nor thirst nor shall the shemesh (sun) strike them nor any scorching heat, [YESHAYAH 49:  10]  Because the SEH, (Lamb, SHEMOT 12:  3; YESHAYAH 53:  7 Moshiach) at the center of the Kes (Throne), will shepherd them and will lead them to the Makor Mayim Chayyim [“Fountain, source of Living Waters,” YIRMEYAH 2:  13], and Hashem will wipe away every tear from their eynayim. [YESHAYAH 25:  8; 35:  10; 51:  11; 65: 19]

“Anonymous”, many modern believers receive the Bible as a single collection of 66 to 77 books, and a complete library of holy writings intended for all created beings and living creatures.  (Believers are cautioned, even the devil is known to quote Scripture.)  While various sacred documents included have been entrusted to, protected, reproduced, and shared among certain Eastern tribes and language groups, the Bible is acknowledged as having been recorded by men on the earth responding to the active presence we now speak of as GOD.  The Bible presents accounts that describe Creation, divine order, eternal purpose, and different aspects of sacred process from our Maker’s point of view (i.e., thousands of events, in thousands of lives, over the course of thousands of years).

The different documents of the Bible include oral traditions that have been recorded; bequests, estates and inheritances, regarding priesthood and divine gifts; chronicles and government records; covenants and divine law; liturgy, poetry and sacred songs for worship; divine promises; wisdom contained in parables and proverbs; and prophecy as well as testimony and witness pertaining to judgment.  The Bible is respected as the most important and reliable source of sacred knowledge that addresses the origins of heaven and earth, of the life forms that include angels, animals, insects, and mankind, of multiple covenant relationships with GOD, and of the character, makeup and spirit content of divinity.

GOD is a spirit whom men are to acknowledge as having authority, immortality, ownership of all that exists, personness, power, and sovereign will.  Divinity has appeared on the earth using human form (we say, Incarnation) to accomplish multiple sacred works such as atonement and propitiation for sin, the gathering of all believers within a single kingdom of GOD, and the transformation of those approved through judgment to exist as eternal companions of divinity.  Consider, again, the following that uses the language from the Scriptures:

Psalms 52:  7-8 , King James Version (KJV):  8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God:  I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.  9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it:  and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

Tehillim 52:  8-9, Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB):  8 (10) But I am like a green zayit (olive tree) in the Beis Elohim; I trust in the chesed Elohim olam va’ed.  9 (11) I will give Thee thanks l’olam, because Thou hast done it; and I will wait on Shimecha; for it is tov before Thy chasidim.
Ephesians 4:  4-7, KJV:  4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;  5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,  6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.  7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Kehillah 4:  2-7, OJB:  2 With all anavah (humility) of mind and meekness, with savlanut (longsuffering), showing forbearance to one another in ahavah,  3 Being eager to keep the achdus (unity) of the Ruach Hakodesh in the uniting bond of shalom;  4 As there is one guf (body) [Gn 47:  18; Ps 16:  9-10; Job 19:  25-27; Isa 53:  11] and one Ruach Hakodesh, as also you were called in one tikvah (hope) of your kri’ah:  5 Adon echad, emunah achat, tevilah achat,  6 One G-d and Avi khol (Father of all), who is over all and through all and in all. [DEVARIM 6:  4; ZECHARYAH 14:  9]  7 But to each of us was given the Chen v’Chesed Hashem according to the measure of the Matnat HaMoshiach.
There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  Ephesians 2:  8-22, KJV:  8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God:  9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.  10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.  11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;  12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:  13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.  14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;  15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;  16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:  17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.  18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.  19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;  20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;  21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:  22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Kehillah in Ephesus 2:  8-22, OJB:  8 For by unmerited Chen v’Chesed Hashem you have been delivered from Hashem’s Mishpat (Judgment) and granted a share in the Geulah (Redemption), through emunah; and this is not [an einfal (intuitive idea)] of yourselves, it is a matnat Hashem (gift of G-d);  9 Not the result [of the zchus (merit)] of doing ma’asim (works) [Ac 15:  1; Ga 5:  3 4], so that before Hashem no man should be a ravrevan (boaster, braggart). [DEVARIM 9:  5]  10 For we are His masterpiece, having been created in Moshiach Yehoshua for ma’asim tovim, which Hashem prepared beforehand, that the derech of our halakhah should be in them.  [YESHAYAH 29:  23; 42:  7; 60:  21;]  11 Therefore, have zikaron (remembrance) that formerly you, the Goyim in the flesh, who are called “arelim” (uncircumcised ones) by the ones being called “nimolim” (circumcised ones) which is a Bris Milah performed in the flesh by human hands  12 Have zikaron (remembrance) that you were at that time bazunder (unrelated and separate) from Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach, having been alienated from the torat haEzrakhut (the citizenship) in the Am Brit, from Yisroel, being zarim (strangers) to the Beritot HaHavtacha, farloiren (lost) and having no tikvah (hope) and without G-d in the Olam Hazeh.  [YESHAYAH 14:  1; 65:  1]  13 But now in Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach Yehoshua, you, who formerly where in the outermost courts, have been brought near by the kapporah of the dahm of Moshiach.  14 For Moshiach himself is our shalom, who made the Shneym into Echad, having broken down in the basar of Moshiach the barrier of the Mechitzah (the dividing partition), the Soreg (barrier of the holy precinct in the Beis HaMikdash between Jews and non-Jews), the Eyvah (Enmity),  15 By annulling the chok (decree, law) of mishpatim in ordinances that the Shnaym He might create in Himself into Adam Chadash Echad (One New Humanity), arbitrating shalom,  16 And that Moshiach might bring the ritztzuy (reconciliation, cessation of enmity), reconciling to Hashem the Shnaym into one guf (body) [BERESHIS 47:  18; TEHILLIM 16:  9-10; IYOV 19:  25-27; YESHAYAH 53:  11] through the Moshiach’s Etz, having put to death the Eyvah by it.  17 And having come, Moshiach preached shalom to you, the ones in the outermost courts, and shalom to the ones near; [TEHILLIM 148:  14; YESHAYAH 57:  19]  18 Because through Moshiach we both have HaSha’ar laHashem (gate to approach G-d’s presence, access of the tzaddikim TEHILLIM 118:  20) by one Ruach Hakodesh to Elohim HaAv.  19 Therefore, then, no longer are you zarim and aliens, but you are fellow citizens of the Kadoshim and bnei bayit members of the household of G-d,  20 Having been built upon the yesod (foundation) of the Shlichim and Nevi’im, Moshiach Yehoshua himself being the ROSH PINAH (TEHILLIM 118:  22),  21 In whom all the binyan (edifice), being fitly joined together, grows into a Heikhal Kadosh b’Hashem;)  22 In whom also you are being built together into a Mishkan of Hashem in the Ruach Hakodesh. [T.N.
