If god always shows mercy when we repent and forgives, how come I have said sorry to my parents and still MUST suffer punishment ?

I got caught shoplifting alcohol from a local shopkeeper as I am only 15 and the shopkeeper knows my mum he called my mum instead of the police, she told the shopkeeper I would be severely punished.

I told my mum I was REALLY sorry , and she made me apologise to the shopkeeper, both my parents said I was forgiven but I MUST be punished with lockdown , so I learn my lesson, tomorrow after school I will be escorted to my bedroom and LOCKED IN for the weekend, I wont be allowed tv or any entertainment,

I will only be let out for the bathroom, lights out and bed 9pm ( PRISON )

1. In the same way parents are held accountable in the law, and must make the otherwise invisible affection, authority, and presence of divinity knowable and known to their own children, they are to help their young ones realize the divine condemnation and unseen damage, loss, and ruin that results from disobedience, lawlessness, and rebellion. Simple actions and behavior, even when intended selfishly and only for ourselves, often have consequences that last indefinitely, are far-reaching, and are widespread.

2. The natural process of human development goes forward through such elements as aging, discovery, gradual growth, demonstrations of proper conduct, instruction, and risk-taking along with trial-and-error. However, the permanent changes that must occur to result in acceptable attitudes and behavior also have to appear within the makeup of ones spirit and self-will (we also say, willpower).

3. Among mature believers, judgment is an aspect of divine blessing because correction, impartiality, mercy, restraint, and righteousness are displayed. Peace is always the outcome of divine judgment, for conflict is resolved, disputes are settled, and respect is restored by applying the sanctions and standards proclaimed within sacred law. By contrast, the outcomes of warfare are not lasting, and usually include anger, bitterness, resentment, and the desire for vengeance that sparks a renewal of hostilities and war.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 4. Simply talking, explaining things, and using verbal encouragements are not sufficient to bring about change and repentance. Also, it has been shown that punishment is only effective where a person is still growing, and not after they have grown and are sealed (i.e., divinity will no longer add to or reduce their sacred content). To accept judgment and punishment is to acknowledge the righteousness in the law and in the Lawgiver. Properly understood, punishment goes beyond retribution (eye for an eye), beyond the death sentence, and beyond forcing someone to themselves endure the pain or suffering they have imposed on others. Punishment can introduce order and structure to be internalized that are separate and from outside of the offender. Their character and nature must still include the inseparable elements of life essence from divinity (i.e., breath; spirit; word). Included as a fresh endowment of spirit from the makeup of GOD are faith holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, meekness, personhood, wisdom and wrath against sin.) Dark Places,” elements that appear within the makeup of the world system include anger, bitterness, fear, greed, exaggerated pride, and selfishness. Many Christian believers acknowledge teachings that say existence, life, the earth, and mankind have been the Creation of divinity while the world is a man-made system for human survival that relies on mechanical, natural and social law, rather than divine law and sacred knowledge. The world as a belief system promotes the use of finite tools such as logic, philosophy, politics, carnal reason, science, secular knowledge, technology, and warfare. The world generates and supports multiple finite beliefs, meanings, understandings, and values that respond to the operations of sin. Sin is no material or tangible thing created by GOD, yet, sin may dominate awareness and self-will in the living. Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Lawgiver, and the divine order that prevails throughout the universe. The world often operates in the manner of idolatry and the worship of false gods, for the world routinely dismisses sacred truth established through the covenants and relationships provided by GOD to edify and nourish his own image within created beings and living creatures living on the earth. The substance and makeup of peace from GOD is life essence (i.e., breath; spirit; word) and sacred endowments established through operations of divine law. Peace is not the outcome of warfare, rather, peace is the outcome of judgment where value is correctly assigned, conflict is resolved, and disputes are settled by applying divine law. The peace of the world is illusory and temporal. Thus, consider the following counsel to developing Christian believers that uses language from the Bible:

1. Isaiah 26: 7-12, King James Version (KJV): 7 The way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just. 8 Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee. 9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. 10 Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD. 11 LORD, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them. 12 LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.

Careful study of the holy writings shows that Jesus Christ comes to abide on the earth among mankind to establish holy law, rather than holy war. Just as the authority, privilege and rights for governments, nations, and sovereign states always exceed those of every individual or affiliation within its domain, divinity is at liberty to administer existence and life on the earth and throughout the universe. Even so, Jesus must fulfill a judgment of mankind that appears in prophecy through the symbols of burning and holy fire. 1. Both the laurel leaf, a symbol of peace and victory, and the sword are symbols of government authority, might, power and rule. The rod of iron that may appear is divine law that does not bend nor break.

2. Lasting peace is the fruit and outcome of judgment, rather than warfare. In divine judgment, the otherwise hidden and unseen eternal purpose, spirit substance and consecrated value are acknowledged and determined for created beings and living creatures, events, expressions of self-will, life experiences, possibilities, etc. Also, sacred law and sovereign will are used as the primary standards to resolve conflict and settle disputes.

3. Righteous warfare is a tool used by government(s) to accomplish goals that include law enforcement and civil order; fulfillment of contracts, covenants and pledges that may include inheritance, marriage, and trade agreements; prosperity (i.e., comfort; commonwealth; security); the maintenance of boundaries that define the precise dimensions of their territory for exercise of control and ownership (i.e., domain and jurisdiction); and the disposition of resources that include mineral deposits, woodlands, and open space.

4. Government through a chief or monarch (e.g., king; emperor; pharaoh) was modeled after the divine institution of family ruled by patriarchs and sacred law that appeared through a priesthood administering offerings and sacrifices of blood. As the tribes of the Exodus sought to enter the promised land, the seer, Balaam, acknowledged that “the shout of a king” and “the strength of a unicorn” was among the tribes of Israel as though there was already a centralized government described by a crown and stable domain, led by a recognized champion, located by a fixed seat (the throne), and administered from a permanent residence (a castle keep). Joshua and the tribes removed more than 30 kings; yet, during the time of Samuel (who is called the last of the Judges, the first of the Prophets) the people demanded rule by a king who would be a civil officer. Israel rejected divine counsel that the errors and infirmity of temporal kings include greed, self-promotion, taxes, and waste. PeTer”, it was not foolish; and the accounts on government that appear throughout the Scriptures should not be taken as discrete and unrelated. In those times, it was believed that the judgment of GOD would reside within the king; and the king would be an embodiment of the law. Yet, the demand that Daniel petition only the king is no less the persecution of his faith than a demand that he worship a huge image of gold erected on the plain of Dura. The account from the Book of Daniel that petitions and requests (we say, prayers) be made only of the king for a period of 30 days has generally been seen as expressing envy, personal conflict, malice, “dirty politics,” and exaggerated pride by rivals in government directed against the Prophet, who was one of three Presidents within a one-world empire. On surface, a temporary suspension of activity surrounding the many idols, vanities, and worship communities would encourage allegiance, assimilation, unification, and commitment to the state. The empire expanded by using military force, and relocating the manpower, resources, and skills from conquered states within its own territory. That such government and practice is contrary to divine intent, and eternal purpose is always covered and obscured by arguments for economic increase, improving the quality of life, and an insistence there will be peace. Where men rely on government and civil legislation for survival, they often respond to a man-made abomination where they otherwise flee from idols and idolatry. It remains that peace is the outcome of judgment, not war; and there must be resolution of conflict and settlement of disputes by applications of divine law. Persecution is systematic behavior by government endorsing or being manipulated by a religious establishment to destroy, legislate against, and undermine developing belief within new faith communities. Because of the cruelty and violence that appear, persecution often is labeled as injustice, the denial of religious liberty, oppression, and terrorism. Consider the following that uses language from the Bible:

1. 1st Samuel 10: 17-21, King James Version (KJV): 17 And Samuel called the people together unto the LORD to Mizpeh; 18 And said unto the children of Israel, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I brought up Israel out of Egypt, and delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all kingdoms, and of them that oppressed you: 19 And ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set a king over us. Today, deaths from war, human nature, and mankind’s divine potential are considered.  For many, it is love and the giving and keeping of life that makes a nation great.  Even so, others now express cynicism and negativity declaring they would rather give their love to animals than to human beings, or to the dead instead of the living, because, then, their love would be acknowledged and returned.  For Christians, GOD is the true origin and source for the greatest human achievements.  Ability to recognize and respond to spirit content from the makeup of our Creator (i.e., discernment) is required to consistently and correctly acknowledge that the divine spirit content is appearing within such features as events, holy writings, oneself, other persons, prophecy, relationships, and sacred teachings.  A writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “John” (Level 1 with 3 points, a member since February 22, 2009) posted the following:

John” the question of mankind’s true nature is “profound” (i.e., has simple, yet, broad and far-reaching application).  Many in the world today agree that how we value one another (and ourselves) as living creatures does make a difference in what we understand can be the quality of life we now experience, the benefit and value for ongoing relationships with immortal divinity, and our further possibilities for life in spite of our mortality.  Our sciences and secular history may insist that human potential only express an animal or mechanical nature (as if we are mere machines or accidents from a random process).  Even so, mature Christian believers hold that our humanity is more completely and correctly understood as expressing interactions within an animal, human and divine nature.  Christians all pursue the fullest development of their divine nature on the basis of multiple goals, needs, sacred knowledge, and strengths acquired through such features as fellowship, prayer, sacred practices (we say, sacraments), study, shared worship, and unselfish service.  Consider the following points that have led many to seek the greater possibilities for mankind:

(1.)  Casualties reported for major U. S. wars numbered from the Revolutionary War to the Iraq War are a total 1, 343,812 deaths, 1,529,230 wounded, and 38,159 missing.

(2.)  Total casualties for Word War I are 37 million and include 9,720,450 military casualties, 8.5 million killed, 19.7 million wounded soldiers, and 7.7 million missing.

(3.)  Statistics reported for World War II include 690 million served (world-wide), and there were 72 million deaths.

(4.)  2nd Peter 1:  2-11, King James Version (KJV):  2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,  3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:  4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:  that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.  5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;  6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;  7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.  8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.  10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure:  for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:  11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Flesh Is Contrary

 

Today, reply centers on the acceptance and finality of prophecy, and on the warnings in Scripture against false prophets.  The disapproval, skepticism, and unbelief of created beings and living creatures have no power to annul divine utterance, or make it vain (empty; without spirit substance from the makeup of GOD).  Sacred prophecies declaring divine prerogative, eternal purposes, and the sovereign will of GOD all are certain of fulfillment, and are dismissed or ignored only at great risk.  Included are prophesies that address Advent (we say, the harvest; his appearing; the Rapture; the Resurrection; the Second Coming), the end times, the final judgment of the wicked, the second death,  the elimination of mortality and sin as well as the descent of the holy city, New Jerusalem, from heaven to the earth.  One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” Religion and Spirituality forum using the  ID “Skittles” (Level 3 with 1,292 points, a member since May 12, 2012) posted the following:

 

What does this verse mean: “Whenever it is that they are saying, “Peace and Security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly on them.”?

1 Thessalonians 5:3

Who says this? How is religion and government involved? How will it affect us?

“Skittles”, many respond to prophecy with denial.  (For example, when Jesus prophesied that he would be crucified, the Apostle Peter insisted on voicing his own desire (it would not be so), and was severely rebuked by Jesus.)  Given the operations of the flesh will resist prophecy, the sacred wisdom developing Christian believers receive through the holy writings include multiple admonitions, advice, alerts, counsels, declarations of divine law, guidance, instruction, divine proclamations, warnings, and prophecies that provide comfort, edification, and exhortation.  Believers must practice discernment whereby they use their own spirit endowment from GOD as a standard to recognize, respond to, and connect with the same spirit content as it appears within events, exchanges, other people, relationships, the Scriptures, etc.  Often, legitimate messages announcing the will of divinity are despised, dismissed, and rejected because they do not agree with popular opinions, carnal reason, or material and social dictates.  Disbelievers, skeptics, and those bearing malice will contradict, distort, and oppose divine truth by offering alternative ideas and “what they want to hear” that are properly labeled and understood as “false prophecy,” even though they may contain useful information from such areas as philosophy, politics, science, and technology.  Consider again the following points that use language from the Bible:

(1.)  Jeremiah 23:  14-17, King James Version (KJV):  14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing:  they commit adultery, and walk in lies:  they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness; they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.  15 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall:  for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.  16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you:  they make you vain:  they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.  17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

(2.)  Ezekiel 13:  1-3, KJV:  1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,  2 Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD;  3 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

(3.)  Ezekiel 13:  10-14, KJV:  10 Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered mortar:  11 Say unto them which daub it with untempered mortar, that it shall fall:  there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.  12 Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?  13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.  14 So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered mortar, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof:  and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

Today, reply is on inner peace and stillness before GOD.  There are multiple spirit influences and substances that are to exist within the living.  The inseparable aspects of imparted spirit content from the makeup of GOD (e.g., faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wrath against sin) are to continually exchange, interact, and stream as active presence.  Because the nature and process of divine spirit are primarily cooperative, reinforcing, and mutually supportive, developing believers will be free of ambiguity, conflict, doubt, spiritual confusion, and uncertainty (we say, double-mindedness; halting between two opinions; being drawn in opposite directions at the same time; embracing things that are incompatible).  Acceptance, holy boldness, certainty, and conviction allow Christians to be still before GOD as do closure, fulfillment, maturity (i.e., balance, completeness, consistency, stability), resolution, and restraint.  A fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum using the ID “Fly G” (Level 5 with 8,000 points, a member since August 16, 2007) posted the following in the Religion and Spirituality section:

“Fly G”, to be still is to trust;  to wait calmly; to tarry displaying commanded expectation (hope), longsuffering and patience.  Quiet and stillness are important aspects of the process of GOD for developing Christian believers because they allow discovery, focus, and joining at the levels of spirit, rather than the levels of flesh that include emotion, intellect, thoughts, and reflection.  Divinity is an active presence that remains invisible and unseen where we are driven by appetite (e.g., hunger, thirst, sexual cravings), sensation (e.g., hearing, seeing, tasting, touching), or secular knowledge and mind.  Prayer in settings that are set apart for quiet is more suitable for realizing communion (oneness without sameness) and discernment (using ones own spirit content to recognize and respond to spirit content from the makeup of GOD that exists within events, oneself, other persons, the holy writings, etc.).  However, heartfelt prayer can still be heard and be answered despite one being surrounded by clamor, being in the midst of a storm, or being on a battlefield.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Psalms 4:  1-5, King James Version (KJV):  1 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness:  thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.  2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.  3 But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself:  the LORD will hear when I call unto him.  4 Stand in awe, and sin not:  commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.  5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

(2.)  Ecclesiastes 5:  1-2, KJV:  1 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools:  for they consider not that they do evil.  2 Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God:  for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth:  therefore let thy words be few.

(3.)  James 3:  13-18, KJV:  13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.  14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.  15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.  16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.  17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.  And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

(4.)  Job 37:  10-14, KJV:  10 By the breath of God frost is given:  and the breadth of the waters is straitened.  11 Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud:  he scattereth his bright cloud:  12 And it is turned round about by his counsels:  that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.  13 He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.  14 Hearken unto this, O Job:  stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
