Today, the description of final judgment as a shepherd’s separation of the sheep and goats that are both contained within his single flock generates a consideration of judgment for all mankind as an eternal expression of divine being.  Also, there is more on the Bible as literally reporting words spoken by GOD.  The “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Micah” (Level 1 with 88 points, a member since January 10, 2013) posted the following:

Christians: what is Judgment Day to you according to Matthew 25:31-46?

the reason I ask is because when I grew up I was taught that judgement day is when Jesus is judges each person individually according to the wrong they have done. but according to Matthew 25 Jesus judges for righteous works and lack of righteous works, not necessarily sin that we have committed. As a kid I was taught that on judgement day we will watch a video of our life and review all the mistakes we have made. I find this very contradicting to what the Bible says concerning Jesus Christ and His blood shed for us. The Bible says that God forgets our sin and cast it as far as the east is from the west. And what about everything it says in the book of Romans about how Christ died for us while we were still sinners. as you know there are many more verses that are similar. please share your thoughts, use scripture to back it up. Thanks.

THE BATTLE AXE:  Words Spoken By GOD? (06/05/2013)—As a device to preserve a collective consciousness and various oral traditions among mankind, the Bible consists in ideas and understandings that may be presented through multiple systems of human language and words.  For this reason, when embracing the holy writings, believers are carefully directed away from human verbal expression to discern and realize their own spirit content, and the revealed spirit content of GOD.   (We see a similar process in the way Internet readers ignore typos to focus upon the meaning of what is intended by a written statement, or question that is posed.)  The highest content of Scripture is its sacred substance, rather than the peculiar accounts of judgments against sin, life principles and models for prosperity, and narratives of human events.  The Bible is to be embraced as holy based upon such features as its eternal aspect, details of divine operations, portrayals revealing sovereign person, sacred purpose, power to sanctify, and defining truth.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes:  the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.  And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee:  and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:  And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee:  and he saith, I am not learned.  Wherefore the LORD said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:  Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder:  for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.  Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?  Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay:  for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?  (Isaiah 29:  10-16, King James Version)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Repentance Must Come Before Resurrection (04/27/2013); Destroyed in Noah’s Flood? (04/28/2013); Acknowledging Divinity? (03/30/2013); GOD Hiding in Plain Sight (03/26/2013); The Love of GOD (03/03/2013); Why A “Spokesperson”? (01/14/2013); No Contradictions? (01/15/2013)

Micah, here are some points of understanding I am permitted to share, that are endorsed by many mature Christian believers, and that pertain to the teachings on Judgment.  Many agree wrath against sin and Judgment are permanent and perpetual aspects of divinity, and are not “one-time events”:

(1)  From the beginning of the Scriptures, where GOD is proclaimed as Creator of heaven and earth, divine tools of division and separation are described.  The Maker is revealed acknowledging a difference between light and darkness, assigning value, and establishing order that gives preliminary form to frameworks of time and space (see Genesis 1:  1-6, King James Version).

(2)  In the same way the description of GOD as Creator is to be accepted as an indisputable fact that is basic to all later information provided by the holy writings, GOD is proclaimed as Law Giver and Judge (see Exodus 34:  1-8, KJV).  Terms for the various covenant agreements between GOD and mankind all include acceptance of divine authority, obedience to sacred law, and submission to divine judgment appearing as both correction and as punishment.  Among them are covenants through Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David and Jesus Christ.

(3)  Before the appearance (we say, incarnation) of GOD in the person of Jesus Christ upon the earth, GOD continued solely as an invisible spirit having no dimension or material form (see John 4:  24, KJV).  When ousted from the Garden of Eden, mankind received instruction and guidance from GOD through prophets and spokespersons such as the Angel bearing a flaming sword who barred the entrance to Eden, the Patriarchs who served for hundreds of years as living witnesses to acts of GOD, the line of prophets, judges, and later, priests, kings, and apostles.  See Hebrews 1:  1-14, KJV.

(4)  Sin is an influence that opposes the existence of divine person, sacred law, and continued being for the Creation of GOD by operating upon self-will in created beings and living creatures.  Sin cannot operate upon the will of GOD.  Yet, sin was first recognized among the holy angels (see Jude 1:  5-7, Ezekiel 28:  12-18, KJV).  Where the revealing of GOD to created beings and living creatures proceeded through the force and process of the natural world, the worship of idols, flesh, and common objects in nature (e.g., bulls, the moon, stars, and sun) became widespread as a consequence of sin (see Romans 1:  18-23, Romans 5:  13-14 and Romans 3:  20-23, KJV).

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5)  Final judgment of the wicked is that aspect of divine revelation wherein the righteousness of GOD is most clearly and directly displayed (see Daniel 7:  9-10, KJV).  While the language used suggests a courtroom drama, there will be no accuser (e.g., Satan already will have been consigned to the lake of fire); and a person must respond only to the record of their own life deeds (see Revelation 20:  10-12, KJV).  The focus of this judgment will be the sacred substance of ones being (such as faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, love, truth, wisdom, and wrath against sin).  The books of life are a primary tool in judgment.  Human behavior and conduct are recorded there that portrays the absence or presence of divine content within ones make-up.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today’s presentation is brief, and consists in a BATTLE AXE and GOLDEN ARROW to accompany Struggling?

THE BATTLE AXE: Struggling? (05/11/2013)—(5.) Born again, the Christian believer must acquire the habit and routine of acting on principle, and doing only those things in agreement with their own divine nature, sacred knowledge, and eternal purpose. It is in this sense, believers are guided as though they were sheep, and do not lean upon their own understanding. The authority of doctrine and truth are to be acknowledged at all times, and does not depend upon any other believer’s expertise, office, rankings and titles as clergy. The same truth has been established and made available to all. When there are issues and questions that generate uncertainty, the believer must rely upon the full pattern of truth they have received. Saying this another way, they must place their trust in GOD, having knowledge of the divine commitment, the consecrated goals, and the things that are pleasing to GOD. See Proverbs 3: 5, 1st Thessalonians 4: 3-8, John 3: 16-21, Titus 2: 11-14, and 1st Peter 2: 1-17, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead. Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe. And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. (Acts 14: 19-22, KJV)

I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

The mission of Christ to recover the “lost sheep” of Israel is topic today, with more on whether atheists are increased by reading the Bible. A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Ibrahim” (Level 4 with 2,922 points, a member since June 12, 2012) posted the following:

Those who believe in the Christ as their God, please come?

Hi my dear Christians ..
Here is a quotation from the Holy Bible, Matthew , verses 22-27,
It says,
22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table .

——————-

Jesus Christ ( peace be upon him ) says that he was sent unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel ..

Now the question is,

Has anyone of you heard that verse before?

If you do, please explain to me,

If Jesus the Christ is God, why he was sent only unto the lost sheep ( lost people ) of the Jews ?

And sorry, my dear Christians, now I got another question,

What can you understand when you read these 2 verses,
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.

Additional Details

My brother,

Our dear Christians are grown up in Christians’ environments ..

By God, many of them are poor ..

I don’t abuse them when I say that they are poor ..
I feel sorry toward them ..

Ranchmom1,
Ok, let us examine your answer in details ..

You wrote, (( 1. Jesus is the Messiah promised to the Jewish people. The Jewish people were to be a light to the Gentiles He (God) says (to Israel): “I will make you as a light for the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth.” Isaiah 49:6. ))

If Jews were the light of the God almighty, why did Jesus say, in the Gospel of Matthew 5:20,

(( “For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.” ))

Jesus Christ is telling you that if you want to enter the paradise, you must be better than the Jews ..

THE BATTLE AXE: On Producing Atheists (03/16/2013)—Both believers and non-believers who lack the Holy Spirit are impotent, un-teachable and useless as instruments of GOD for ministry, revelation, and worship. As lovers of argument, debate and friction, no atheist may effectively demonstrate the sacred dimensions of human reality, or carry out divine operations that make visible the divine presence. Grounded in “self-righteousness” and insisting upon a “religious liberty” whereby they may continue as childish regarding their own beliefs, many attack the practices and values of those around them. Such persons do not edify (i.e., unselfishly build up the understanding of others), provide no spiritual comfort, and proclaim no “good news” from GOD. No man imprisoned by self-centeredness, self-importance and self-justification can ever know the freedom believers achieve through the correct reading of Scripture, and a right knowledge of the living GOD.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. (Colossians 3: 9-15, King James Version)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Vows and Covenants? (12/17/2012); Knowing Who Your Real Friends Are (12/11/2012); Suffering for Suicide (12/12/2012); The Priesthood of Kings (10/17/2012); Childlike Faith (10/18/2012); Still The “Chosen”? (03/19/2012); GOD Does Exist (03/20/2012); On the Messiah (02/19/2012); The First Jews (02/20/2012); The Cause Of Unrest (01/30/2012); The Need For GOD (01/31/2012)

Dear Ibrahim, it requires more than the few verses from Scripture that I might share with you here to correctly detail the action of GOD among mankind through Jesus. Even so, please consider the following:

1. A promised Messiah and anointed one (Christ) was to reign as a divine agent over Israel, and by extension, all mankind. An aspect of his mission would be to re-unify the scattered peoples. The tribes are spoken of as “lost”, yet, the areas where they were to be found, and their physical location was very well known.

2. Jesus appeared to reject the woman who pleaded for her daughter’s exorcism because he was portraying, and challenging, the historical attitude and response of the Jews to other Hebrews and Gentiles. Jesus was born in Bethlehem, from the lineage of David (and therefore entitled to be called “a Jew”, one from Judea). However, he was raised in Galilee, and was hated as if from one of the ten tribes that made up the Northern Kingdom.

3. The Unified Kingdom of David was lost through his grandson, Rehoboam. Ten tribes rejected rule by the house of David, and became the Northern Kingdom. Under Jeroboam son of Nebat, Samaria (Israel) rejected the Temple at Jerusalem, and chose idol worship and the Golden Calf from Egypt. Conquests by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Medes, Greeks, and Romans did not fully destroy the covenant people. They were divided, and in spiritual confusion; yet, GOD continued to observe the divine promises, and sacred purposes established among the Jews.

4. The Scriptures use the phrase “the Jews” referring broadly to the Temple community consisting of beggars, elders, factions (e.g., Herodians (royalists), Pharisees, Sadducees), guards (security personnel), lawyers, Levites, livestock merchants, money changers (currency exchangers), petitioners, prophets, priests, repairmen (such as carpenters, roofers, stone cutters), scribes, and teachers. The Sanhedrin Council of seventy, and the various cliques and mobs that specifically opposed Jesus and his followers who continued as the early church, also are repeatedly called “the Jews.”

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, Israel was never to be regarded as a chosen people on the basis of their own righteousness. They were to be a device to demonstrate and display the steadfastness and righteousness of GOD to all mankind (called “the Gentiles”). The Scriptures are not to be regarded as a record of Jewish achievements, or their failures, so much as a chronicle of divine interventions, eternal and ongoing judgment, and divine wrath against sin. Because a balanced and full revelation of GOD is being documented, there are detailed presentations regarding atonement, compassion, forgiveness, healing, incarnation, love, mercy, and sanctification as well.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.
