Today, focus is on the title of “Savior” and holy names shared among the GODhead.  At one point Jesus confessed, “the Father in me doeth the works” (see John 14:  10, King James Version (KJV).  Here, believers are cautioned further not to center their thinking on behavior, conduct, deeds, or tasks performed by divinity.  Rightly understood “salvation” describes an aspect of existence put forth from GOD, relationship with divinity, and a specific condition among created beings and living creatures whose awareness and self-will may be dominated by sin.  The title “savior” speaks to ongoing sacred operations more than to a one-time event (the death of Jesus upon the cross), or specific functions and tasks performed by the Son of the Highest (e.g., atonement, judgment, redemption).  Through various presentations and translations of the Bible, many Christians have accepted the name “Jesus” as a Latin form of a Greek name that means “savior”.  In the Hebrew writings, the same name appears as “Yeshua” with the variants Joshua and Jeshua.  In the Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB), the Hebrew form “Yehoshua” and the Aramaic “Yeshua” appear along with Yiddish forms as in “Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach Yehoshua Ben Dovid, Ben Avraham” (Master or Mentor, the Anointed King, son of David, son of Abraham).  “Emmanuel” (in the Gospel of Matthew) and “Immanuel” (in the Book of Isaiah) may be understood as “GOD is with us” and as “GOD is among us.”  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Is Gods name Jesus????

Nowhere in the Bible from the Old Testament to the New is it mentioned

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee:  though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.  Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid:  for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.  Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.  And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.  Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things:  this is known in all the earth.  Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion:  for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.  (Isaiah 12:  1-6, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, it is as great an error to argue hierarchy, rank, and subordination for the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, or the distinctions among holy names and titles as it is to become entangled in the genealogies of the Scriptures.  The holy writings proclaim the names (i.e., accomplishments; deeds; reputation) of GOD, and the divine works are the basis for how Deity is to be spoken of among the living.  Many mature Christian believers understand the name of GOD used by the three divine persons when they address one another (i.e., within the fullness of divinity that we call the GODhead) is unutterable and may not be spoken by created beings and living creatures.  The GODhead must be acknowledged as a single person who appears having oneness without sameness.  Multiple operations of GOD have been carried out to make Deity knowable, known, and “visible” to the living in the heaven and in the earth.  Included are depicting the sacred presence through consecrated objects and spiritual practices (e.g., altars, atonement, candlesticks, holy fire, forgiveness, judgment, praise, rainbows, resurrection, sacrifice, holy water); appearing in flesh and dying on the cross as Jesus of Nazareth (we say, Incarnation); and the imparting and indwelling of sacred content from the makeup of GOD through baptism and rebirth.  The same aspect of divine fullness who appears as Savior through the cross appeared as Creator in the Garden of Eden, as Deliverer and Friend to Abraham at Mount Moriah, and as Judge against Pharaoh for the sons of Jacob in Israel.  The specific aspect of GOD who is present through covenant and continuing relationships with mankind is also held to be the author of eternal salvation, the head of the church, and the sovereign over the kingdom of GOD.  While we on the earth continue to speak of the Son glorified by the Father, and the Father glorified in the Son as though they are separate, there is no true division of the One.  Even so, consider the following from the Bible:

(1.)  Isaiah 43:  1-3, King James Version (KJV):  1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not:  for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.  2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee:  when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.  3 For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour:  I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

(2.)  Isaiah 43:  10-12, KJV:  10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen:  that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he:  before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.  11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.  12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you:  therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  John 17:  18-23, KJV:  18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.  19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.  20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;  21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us:  that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.  22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:  23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, the acknowledgement and exalting of Jesus Christ by GOD the Father is in view.  For mature Christian believers there are no issues or questions concerning differences of hierarchy, rank, and subordination within the fullness of divinity (we say, the GODhead).  While the three sacred persons are correctly spoken of using language for recognizable human relationships (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), only their closeness, intimacy, and shared spirit content are signaled.  The meanings and values of terms applied to the divine persons must express direction, existence, and intent among those who appear primarily through shared eternal purpose, operations of Spirit, and accomplishment of sovereign will.  Differences do not introduce conflict, contradiction, or imbalance as seen among created beings and living creatures whose carnal, material and social exchange also may be characterized as having equality, likeness, or uniformity.  The GODhead is to be described and understood as having oneness, yet, without sameness.  Jesus Christ has appeared as “the image of GOD,” and is “exalted” by both the Father and the Holy Spirit in the sense that he is shown to be the specific aspect of divine fullness for the redemption, salvation, and perfection of Creation.  The fighter at “Yahoo! How Could God exalt Jesus to a superior position as recorded atPhilippians 2:9 if they were equal?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;  Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;  And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;  That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:  For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.  Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.  And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:  Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.  (Acts 17:  24-31, King James Version, KJV)

“TheReal”, sinners are to see unseen sacred operations through the life of Jesus Christ.  The most complete revelation of divinity to created beings and living creatures would be one that makes incarnate and visible the many inseparable aspects of spirit substance that are the makeup of Deity (i.e., the heart, mind, and soul of GOD).  Included would be faith, forgiveness, holiness, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  The holy writings therefore speak of a Son being acknowledged by the Father as a device to make knowable, known, and “visible” the otherwise invisible Creator who is called the Word, the Everlasting Father, and Son of the Highest.  Jesus Christ was an appearance of divinity using flesh and blood.  In addition to being present in a form that would allow communication, exchange, and interaction (we say, ongoing relationship), the person of GOD among the living served as a remedy for sin that opposes the continued existence of divine law, provided correction and instruction to sinners, and established sacred mechanisms to complete the permanent transformation of mankind to exist as an immortal companion to the Holy.  While in the form of man, the Savior had to use the finite carnal, material, and social tools relied on by those in the earth (e.g., emotion, intellect, philosophy, science), and was often limited, not so much by GOD, by the limits from those he sought to serve.  Jesus existed having divine substance (just as his followers can do), and was required by the conditions for mortality to endure death with an expectation of resurrection that he shared with the Father through the divine Spirit.  Consider the following from the Bible:

(1.)  Colossians 2:  8-10, King James Version (KJV):  8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.  9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.  10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

(2.)  Matthew 13:  54-58, KJV:  54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?  55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?  56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?  57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.  58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

(3.)  Colossians 1:  12-18, KJV:  12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:  13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:  14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:  15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:  16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:  all things were created by him, and for him:  17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.  18 And he is the head of the body, the church:  who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

(4.)  John 10:  14-18, KJV:  14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.  15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father:  and I lay down my life for the sheep.  16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold:  them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.  17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.  18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
