elephant-in-the-room

Today, focus is on “the elephant in the room,” the critical issues, opportunities, and problems that are ignored, neglected and suppressed as if they do not exist at a time when public outcries are being made. The failure of problem-solving efforts to respond to the elephant in the room increases stumbling blocks that include rush-to-judgment behavior, exaggerated pride, emotional imbalance, self-promotion, silence where there should be dialogue, stubbornness, and “Im right when Im wrong, because…”. Rather than evading accountability, dodging duty, and selective blindness, there must be commitment to continuing practical efforts that will build lasting solutions. Healthy change will come when the people of our country realize that, right now, there are increased possibilities for benefit and good. All must see with new eyes and truly godly vision when up against the recurring issues and ungodly problems of racism in America, police violence, the goals and outcomes for protest events, and the fruit (take-away) that should come by leadership from those in the streets as well as from elected officials. Where the honest intent of everyone involved is to improve the quality of life, and share the benefits and privileges of working and keeping our homes within the U.S., the first response to arrest confrontations and similar outrages should be in providing and recording a public statement of agreement that encourages attitudes and expressions that support the lawful and thoughtful process that must be used to achieve justice while increasing understanding. A form that peaceful protest might assume that would give voice to the community at large and allow citizens to go on record would be a kind of petition or pledge to carefully investigate and pursue full disclosure of questionable, criminal and unlawful acts by public servants. Our law does not condone condemnation and punishment before the hearing of evidence and trial: those who administer the law also must minister discipline, self-control, and restraint. Consider again John 18: 19-24, King James Version (KJV): 19 The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine. 20 Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing. 21 Why askest thou me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said. 22 And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so? 23 Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me? 24 Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (Matthew 22: 35-40, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: The Meaning Of “Persecution” (02/12/2020); White People Becoming Atheists? (10/03/2019); Catholic and Protestant Bibles? (10/11/2018); Will There Be Diversity? (10/22/2017); No Less GOD’s Creation (12/01/2016); Diversity and Divine Purpose (08/28/2016); Can Christians Be Racists? (07/25/2016); The Provision Against Racists? (01/19/2016)

While we are yet in a season of divine grace, Christian believers are to speak up and call attention to the elephant in the room, even where “the room” may be the pulpit, the Internet, the prayer chamber, the throne room, or the consecrated Sanctuary. Where earthly challenges, difficulties, and formidable obstacles are not to be downplayed or overlooked, neither are simple and godly solutions to be despised, refused, and underestimated:

(1.) There is a need for a process that will not employ violence where public expressions of protest may be openly presented, recorded, and made accessible for public exchange and response. More than simply making statements of anger, fear, frustration, and other feelings, all will be welcome to offer useful conclusions and specific recommendations that can be further researched and serve as the beginning of action plans, goals for growth, and targets for development.

(2.) Late one night, the President of the United States of America chose to walk over to a nearby church in his home neighborhood. It could not be assumed that the President would be safe to walk within his own familiar area. There were no believers on look-out to see the presidential party approaching. No one was there charged to watch and pray or to greet the President at his coming. There was no one immediately available to serve as a crisis counselor, a comforter, a prayer partner, or an emergency spiritual adviser. Even so, those “looking for an occasion” and hiding to attack came out to condemn the President for lacking and not applying the sacred knowledge found in the Bible, and they have yet to provide an authentic standard for the use of the Scriptures by those in our Nation’s public offices and worship congregations.

(3.) Where Christ prayed, Father forgive them, they know not what they do, many have come forward to criticize the President (who, like a drowning man, can be seen clutching at straws). Those who acknowledge his need and that of those around him will be making efforts (in private as well as public displays) to comfort, edify, and reinforce the faith and resolve of those in the Oval Office.

(4.) There is a need for a process where, when a police officer feels that his or her actions have initiated a pattern of arrest confrontation, (ABCDEFG, we know XYZ is coming) they should be free to negotiate a handshake agreement with the suspect that will avoid escalation of conflict and disagreement. There can be an offer to share assistance by telephone contact with an attorney, police officials, a member of the city council, or even, an emergency conference call with the Mayor. Someone trusted by all must clarify for them the rights of the many involved parties, the lawful process, and their questions on what they are to do next.

(5.) An Archbishop of the Anglican Church (UK) with whom I have been sharing prayer and contemplation published the following tweet on June 2, 2020 that continues to advance subtlety and error as harmless and unintended (i.e., as therefore innocent and acceptable): @JustinWelby Jun 2 I pray that those of us who are white Christians repent of our own prejudices, and do the urgent work of becoming better allies to our brothers and sisters of colour.

9:11 AM · Jun 2, 2020·Twitter for iPhone My response was: @JustinWelby The battle is for the mind; and this is the gulf between us: There are no white Christians; there are no black Christians; there are only developing and mature Christians. Saying this another way, Ephesians 4: 4-6 (KJV): 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. Seraph Depiction

A depiction of a seraph (angel; ministering spirit) to represent the celestial character of the Kingdom of GOD.

Today, reply is on how man-made tools, human frameworks, and materials used in the holy writings should not be relied on to know the presence of divinity, or correctly describe the kingdom of GOD. When it comes to heaven, the church founded by Jesus Christ, and the kingdom of GOD, many are in spiritual confusion, for they have no realistic idea what they are to expect from GOD, or hope for in final judgment. All are cautioned that, temporal elements such as attitudes, behavior, conduct, imagination, opinion and presumption are expressions of the flesh, while character, intent, and eternal purpose are aspects of life essence, unchanging divine image and sacred spirit content along with godly process and substance. All should expect to see things new and strange; all will have to discover, learn, and grow. It is written: Ezekiel 1: 1-10, King James Version (KJV): 1 Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God. 2 In the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin’s captivity, 3 The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him. 4 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire. 5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. 6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings. 7 And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass. 8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings. 9 Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward. 10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle. Does the bible say anything about being far from the kingdom of God and being near God’s kingdom?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1st Corinthians 2: 6-14, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Angels Appearing As Men (04/09/2020); Will Jesus Come Soon? Breakthrough”, the kingdom of GOD is a condition and quality of ones spirit content. Spirit (we also say, divine breath; utterance; word) is the process and substance of the active presence whom we call “divine fullness” (i.e., divinity; the Godhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit). Even so, in the holy writings many descriptions for heaven and the kingdom of GOD are found that use devices and figures existing in the material and natural world to describe a discrete place set apart (sanctified) as the center and seat of the divine presence. In addition to parables, prophecy, revelation, and eyewitness testimonies, proclamations, promises and visions are recorded that provide created beings and living creatures with sacred knowledge pertaining to the process and realm of divine fullness. Christian believers who become born again receive a fresh endowment of spirit substance from the makeup of divinity that includes balance, faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, wisdom, and wrath against sin. As offspring of GOD, believers are to mature on the earth relying on this anointing, and are not to depend on the finite tools and frameworks of the flesh relied on by others (e.g., emotion, intellect, logic, carnal reason, science, secular knowledge, time and space). Many have insisted that the dominion of divine kingdom may come only by sacred law (Torah), rather than through priests and prophets who manifest indwelling substance from the Creator (e.g., comfort, exhortation, a spirit of burning and judgment, the spirit of truth), or through kings, rulers, and a Messiah who fulfills the eternal purpose and the sovereign will of GOD. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible and a selection from the music ministry of Damita and Deitrick Haddon:

(1.) Isaiah 57: 15-16, King James Version (KJV): 15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. 16 For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made.

(2.) Mark 12: 28-34, KJV: 28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? 29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. 32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: 33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. 34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

(3.) Luke 17: 20-24, KJV: 20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. 22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. 23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. 24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1u_5mG-ibk.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, just as correctly recognizing and rejecting the enemies of Jesus Christ is not an earthly process that relies on finite self-promotion, human tools and the flesh, acknowledging that Jesus is the true Messiah is shown to require the presence and operations of the Holy Spirit. It is written: 1st Corinthians 12: 3, King James Version (KJV): 3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. How did the other apostles not know Judas was the bad guy, when Jesus clearly kicked him off the dinner table?

Updated 38 mins ago:

When Jesus broke the news that one of them will betray him, the other apostles all looked to themselves and asked “is it me”?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee? Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts? And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered. Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not. (Malachi 3: 13-18, KJV)

Anonymous”, the process and substance for recognizing the Messiah among the living on the earth does not rely on finite human tools such as academic instruction, emotions, intellect, logic, carnal reason, secular knowledge, philosophy, politics, and science. Divine operations are to be acknowledged that include atonement, commitment, Incarnation, prophecy, rebirth, resurrection from the dead, sanctification, unselfish service, suffering, and the second death. Properly understood, the process divinity uses in redemption, salvation, and maintaining fellowship with created beings and living creatures on the earth includes imparting inseparable spirit substance from the makeup of GOD (e.g., balance, faith, holiness, longsuffering, oneness without sameness, personhood, wisdom, wrath against sin). Sinners born again are to repent; discover; be edified by GOD; continue praise, prayer, and worship; experience gradual growth; practice discernment; study the holy writings; submit to permanent change; and suffer without complaining, conflict, or despair. Even the chosen 12 were immersed in long-held expectations, vain hopes, and unfruitful traditions associated with misrepresentations of the divine law and covenant relationships of promise that should generate a faith with power and new life. Consider the following that uses language from the Bible, and a selection from the music ministry of Sandi Patti:

(1.) Matthew 16: 13-17, King James Version (KJV): 13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

(2.) John 4: 19-26, KJV: 19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. 21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. 25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. 26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

(3.) Luke 24: 22-32, KJV: 22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre; 23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive. 24 And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not. 25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: 26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. 28 And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further. 29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them. 30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. 32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

Today, reply is on the character and properties among sheep that promote their use by divinity to provide atonement for sin, to further communication and covenant relationship for created beings and living creatures on the earth, and to fulfill revelation to mankind. Sheep often are used to depict and represent an ideal pastoral condition within the church of Jesus Christ. As creatures that stay together in small family groups, yet also are communal for their survival, sheep may be gathered in large groups without conflict, competition, defying authority, rebellion, and violence against one another. Christ who is head of the church is also the lamb of GOD who takes away the sin of the world. Mankind has existence and life within both the Creation and the Creator. The kinship of mankind to divinity first appears and is manifest through divine content, sacred law, mystery, prophecy, spirit process, and other sacred elements that can reside within human consciousness and self-will. Those who become born again are to exist on the earth displaying the image of GOD, and demonstrating divine guidance, sacred knowledge, resurrection life, and their own fresh endowment of inseparable spirit imparted from the makeup of GOD. Included are balance, commitment, faith, holiness, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin. The sacrifice provided by divinity on behalf of mankind includes sacred blood and substance for atonement, propitiation, and reconciliation. It is written: Psalms 100: 3, King James Version (KJV): 3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. The fighter who uses the ID “Alex” (Level 3 with 1,120 points) in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion & Spirituality posted the following:

Why are “most” religious people such sheep? And if Jesus talks about peace why do these hypocrites feel the need to bash other people?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. Alex”, the ones you call “sheep” exist as those who are in personal relationship with the Creator through obedience, reverence, and trust. The sheep patiently and quietly respond to such elements as authority, grace, sacred law, divine prerogative, eternal purpose, and the sovereign will of GOD. Because divinity is immortal, incorruptible, and invisible, the process and substance of GOD first were made known to mankind using finite figures and operations that have meaning and value at the level of human consciousness and self-will. Where there has been spiritual growth and maturity, divine fullness (i.e., divinity; the Godhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit) may be discerned through fresh endowments of the life essence imparted at Creation to mankind from the makeup of GOD and that are now available through the ministries of Jesus Christ. Inseparable aspects of what/who we know as GOD are being bestowed on mankind that include balance, faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, wisdom, and wrath against sin. Such divine operations must appear as atonement, edification, judgment, prophecy, redemption, revelation, salvation, and unselfish service. The transgression of sacred law committed by the first pair (i.e., the fall of Adam) disrupted divine order and continuing existence on multiple levels throughout the universe. In the same way sleep (death) was used to preserve the male when his rib was removed to create the female, divinity has been using the death, the blood of Jesus Christ, and his resurrection from the dead to further fashion the character, nature and quality of mankind. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible and a selection from the music ministry of Steve Amerson:

(1.) Ezekiel 34: 11-17, King James Version (KJV): 11 For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out. 12 As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. 13 And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country. 14 I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel. 15 I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD. 16 I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment. 17 And as for you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats.

(2.) Ezekiel 34: 30-31, KJV: 30 Thus shall they know that I the LORD their God am with them, and that they, even the house of Israel, are my people, saith the Lord GOD. 31 And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men, and I am your God, saith the Lord GOD.

(3.) John 10: 7-17, KJV: 7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. 12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. 13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. 15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. 17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

Because I have been forgiven

Today, reply is on forgiveness as a response on behalf of divinity more than a response by sinners to one another in human displays of contrition, humility, and regret for bad conduct. Jesus affirmed “the law and the prophets,” yet, he could not extinguish the sin that gripped the High Priest and elders of Israel, the Sanhedrin court, Pontius Pilate representing the government of Rome and all mankind, or the betrayal by multitudes who gladly had received healing and miracles from his ministry. As a sacred practice, forgiveness does not eliminate sin; even so, forgiveness may operate on the earth within human consciousness and self-will to establish opportunities and possibilities for mankind’s spiritual growth and transformation. Where guilt, shame, uncertainty, and fear of judgment appear with sacred law, forgiveness centers in expressions of divine personhood that include humility, impartiality, longsuffering, lovingkindness, and respect. Forgiveness appears as an act of GOD that encourages continuing exchange, reconciliation, renewed covenant relationship, repentance, and fruitful social interaction. While forgiveness displays active presence and other inseparable aspects of divine spirit, forgiveness does not convey the full authority and power of atonement, redemption, godly restraint, and salvation. Thus, no one openly asked that Jesus forgive them as the heirs of Adam whose cruelty, disbelief, irreverence, and scorn were displayed throughout his arrest, trial and crucifixion. Jesus prayed from the cross that men would be forgiven of their transgression against his Father in heaven, rather than their offense against himself. It is written: 1st John 1: 5-10, King James Version (KJV): 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. When you forgive, do you just forgive, or wait until forgiveness is humbly requested?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God. (Luke 23: 33-35, KJV)

Regwah”, both as a duty to GOD and a benefit to others, Christians are to practice forgiveness. Among mature Christians, forgiveness is to make visible the grace of GOD who is immortal, incorruptible, and invisible. Grace may be understood as undeserved, unmerited favor, and a feature of the full image of GOD provided to mankind. Thus, forgiveness is an expression of divine prerogative, eternal purpose, sacred law, and the sovereign will of GOD. That we forgive is more than a matter of expressing our own affection, our desires, or our emotions. Divine fullness (we also say, divinity; the Godhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit) is manifest and present within all sacred process and spirit substance. Sinners who repent receive a fresh endowment of the life essence (breath; spirit; word) that was granted to Adam in Creation. Inseparable aspects of divinity are imparted to those who become “born again” that includes balance, faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, wisdom, and wrath against sin. Christian believers are the new creation of Jesus Christ; and his followers are to resemble, reflect, and reveal the character and likeness of Jesus in their lifestyle and daily routines. Forgiveness is a first step toward ending conflict, healing, peacemaking, reestablishing trust, resolving dispute, and accomplishing full reconciliation. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible, and a selection from the music ministry of Steve Amerson:

(1.) Matthew 6: 9-15, King James Version (KJV): 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

(2.) Ephesians 4: 31-32, KJV: 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

(3.) Matthew 18: 15-22, KJV: 15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. 16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. 17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. 18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. 21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? 22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Today, reply is on the multiple appearances of blame and punishment within the holy writings. For created beings and living creatures to correctly discern and resist the operations of sin, all must receive fresh endowments of spirit substance imparted from the makeup of GOD. Sin has not been put forth from divinity, has no sacred content, and is no ordinary physical object you may put in your pocket. Sin opposes the continued existence of all sacred law, the Lawgiver, and the divine order that serves as the universe. Sin promotes a return to the chaos, confusion, and flux that were in place before the founding of heaven and earth (we say, preexistence). Sin may dominate consciousness and self-will (willpower) within the living; and can not be controlled or eliminated using finite human tools such as emotion, imagination, logic, and carnal reason. Responding to sin, to one another, and to GOD require a correct understanding of sin. Divine mechanisms and operations now exist to release mankind from sin, and restore the living as companions to divinity. It is written: Ezekiel 33: 11-20, King James Version (KJV): 11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? 12 Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth. 13 When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it. 14 Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right; 15 If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die. 16 None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live. 17 Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal. 18 When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby. 19 But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby. 20 Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways. One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answer” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile is shared) posted the following:

If all references to blame and punishment were removed from the Bible, would it represent a better set of teachings, despite being shorter?

Updated 2 mins ago:

Or are blame and punishment simply too central to Christian teachings, the Bible would lose a lot of its appeal to the simple minded followers who yearn for people to be punished?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20: 10-15, KJV)

Anonymous”, a full and complete revelation of GOD requires the appearance of divinity on the earth using human flesh as Jesus Christ. The teachings of the Bible focus on the appearance of the divine priesthood on the earth entrusted to Adam that was patterned after the sacred operations within heaven where Jesus is High Priest. The issues of correction and remission for sin with forgiveness and reconciliation exist as (1) artifacts of divine order, (2) immutable conditions for the continuance of heaven and earth, (3) the sanctions appearing within the law, (4) unchanging eternal purpose, and (5) the expressed will of divinity (we say, the proclaimed, sovereign will of GOD). Through divine works (e.g., anointing, birth, aging, death, resurrection) that make divinity knowable, known, visible and approachable, created beings and living creatures are granted “sacred knowledge” and inseparable spirit substance from the makeup of GOD that men must contain so they bear the image of GOD, and may resemble, reflect, and reveal the character and likeness of Jesus Christ. Included are balance, completeness, faith, forbearance, holiness, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

When divine fullness appeared to Moses, GOD permitted the prophet to see aspects of his glory, and declared to Moses with an audible voice how divinity was to be known and spoken of. In addition to the authority and power that appear in Creation, the presence of GOD who is immortal, incorruptible, and invisible spirit is to be acknowledged as a deliverer and savior, and as a “God of judgment.” Judgment involves more than condemning and damning finite human attitudes, behavior, and conduct. Divine judgment includes (when possible) applying mercy to those who are guilty; assigning and establishing meaning, standards, and values; delivering admonitions, cautions, and warnings; determining the absence/presence of divine substance; distributing divine rewards; eliminating the operations, presence, and effects of sin from the universe; gathering and grouping tools and workers; making visible otherwise hidden aspects of divine fullness (e.g., grace, impartiality, restraint, righteousness); providing clear examples that demonstrate correct responses to divinity; and continuing existence along with eternal life. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible; and a selection from the music ministry of Steve Green:

(1.) Exodus 34: 4-8, King James Version (KJV): 4 And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone. 5 And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. 6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, 7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation. 8 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

(2.) Ecclesiastes 12: 13-14, KJV: 13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

(3.) 1st Corinthians 3: 11-17, KJV: 11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. 14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Today, reply is on the comprehensive operations to reveal divinity on the earth as being characterized by concentration and focus, rather than being all-inclusive. GOD calls men and women into service as disciples, healers, judges, prophet, priests, and kings. Even so, all will not be chosen to reign with Jesus Christ as joint-heirs, and the new creation. In the same way that sacred tribunals for judgment expose and uncover otherwise hidden and unseen aspects of content and substance among and within mankind, where the living accept accountability, declare commitment, complete duty, and perform required service they also present the image of GOD and the likeness of Jesus Christ. It is written: Matthew 22: 8-10, King James Version (KJV): 8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. 9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. 10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. 11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. 13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14 For many are called, but few are chosen. If the Christian God is all knowing all powerful how come it has yet to convince even half of the population that it exists?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2: 8-10, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Ones Spirit Must Grow? (09/29/2019); The Saved Are Numberless (04/29/2019); Atheists And The Word? (09/11/2018); Chosen Through Sacred Process (09/06/2018); Life And Divine Purpose (05/04/2018); Salvation for Atheists? (06/14/2013); Church is Good? (06/15/2013)

ImAtheist”, sharing things understood among those who declare what they believe instead of what they disbelieve, before the creation of the earth there were fixed standards in place; and only those meeting the standards will be continued in eternity. Mankind’s response to the operations of sin required mortality and separation as continuing conditions for the existence and integrity of created beings and living creatures on the earth. The sanctions against that appear within unchanging divine law make necessary such sacred works as atonement; birth, development to maturity, anointing for ordained ministry and priesthood, living as a nomad and an itinerant preacher, and the death of divinity on the cross (we say, the Incarnation of divine fullness as Jesus Christ); redemption; resurrection for the dead to appear in final judgment; salvation; sanctification; and the second death that eliminates and erases all sin.

GOD is a spirit, and the operations of divinity are spirit in process and substance. Spirit remains invisible and undetectable to those relying on finite human tools of flesh (e.g., sensations of hearing, seeing, tasting, touching, etc.), or mind (e.g., carnal reason, imagination, logic, recall, thinking). Divinity is made knowable, known, accessible, and approachable (we say, revealed) by inseparable aspects of divine fullness that are imparted to exist within the consciousness and self-will of the living. Included are faith, forbearance, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

GOD maintains all Creation and the entire universe using authority, divine order, dominion, mechanical process and natural law, power, sacred law, divine prerogative, eternal purpose, and sovereign will. Divinity responds to the presence of life essence (we say, breath; spirit; word) within created beings and living creatures as an aspect of divine fullness. The living are to be companions to immortal, incorruptible, invisible divinity; and they are to resemble, reflect, and reveal the image of GOD. Achieving the gifts of salvation and eternal life are not based on self-promotion and humanity choosing GOD, so much as GOD choosing mankind and responding to those who bear his mark. Therefore, mature Christians speak in terms of divine concentration and focus upon the living through adoption, grace, judgment, and purchase. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible, and a selection from the music ministry of John Michael Talbot:

(1.) Psalms 15: 1-3, King James Version (KJV): 1 LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? 2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. 3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

(2.) Romans 6: 23, KJV: 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

(3.) Psalms 51: 15-17, KJV: 15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise. 16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

(4.) Ephesians 2: 4-6, KJV: 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

(5.) Romans 8: 5-9, KJV: 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (6.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnM4a3TKPro.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

O when wilt thou come unto me? Tracy”, advice and counsel to developing Christian believers center on forming fruitful and healthy relationships by making godly choices and decisions. As the offspring of GOD and joint heirs with Jesus Christ, believers are to discern and respond to the spirit substance imparted from GOD that will appear within events, within oneself, and within others. Consider again the following guidance that is shared in the holy writings:

1. Proverbs 22: 24-25, KJV: 24 Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go: 25 Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.

2. 2nd Corinthians 6: 14-17, KJV: 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

3. Proverbs 1: 10-19, KJV: 10 My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not. 11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause: 12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit: 13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil: 14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse: 15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path: 16 For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood. 17 Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird. 18 And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives. 19 So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.

4. Ezekiel 16: 49-50, KJV: 49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. 50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

5. Galatians 5: 19-26, KJV: 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 6. John 10: 9-11, KJV: 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

I Have Said

Today, the reply addresses the ongoing transformation of mankind to exist eternally as a life companion to divinity. At the coming of Jesus Christ to harvest the earth of those belonging to him that are mature/ripe for eternal life, the permanent change will be completed in the twinkling of an eye whereby mankind will no longer be corruptible or mortal, and will endure along with divinity forever. Men on the earth anointed and endowed to serve as divine priests, prophets, judges and kings are to be obeyed and respected as the sons of man (Adam), and children of the Most High. Thus, it is written: Luke 3: 38, King James Version (KJV): 38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God. Also, Deuteronomy 14: 1-2, : 1 Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead. 2 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth. Exodus 4: 22-24 KJV: 22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn: 23 And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn. Fellow Christians: why would someone say the Bible says people are gods and ard becoming gods?

Please clear this up because that sounds wrong to me.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever. Thine, O LORD is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name. (1st Chronicles 29: 10-13, King James Version, KJV)

Anonymous”, some of the most challenging doctrines and teachings within the Christian system of belief are involved, here. Several distinctions and meanings have to be separated to avoid spiritual confusion. In the holy writings, “gods” are (1) man-made objects mistakenly believed to contain divine persons, to have authority and power, or that may act having dominion in the natural world; therefore graven images and other objects (we say, idols) are reverenced and worshiped to gain benefits, favor, and privilege. To be a “god” means (2) to have the same attributes, authority, knowledge, power and privilege that describe the Creator. Also, “gods” are (3) vessels of divine seed and spirit substance from the makeup of divinity; therefore, having “life essence” (breath; “DNA”; spirit; word) from the divine fullness (we say, the Creator; the Godhead; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit), created beings and living creatures may be called “gods” meaning the offspring, the sons and daughters, the children of GOD. Mankind was created to exist (4) as a companion (“god”) to immortal, incorruptible divinity, and therefore, was to endure as eternal, godly, and perfect. Additionally, (5) where men on the earth display the “image of God” (inseparable spirit substance from the makeup of divinity such as faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, wrath against sin) they are accounted as heirs to divinity, joint-heirs with Jesus Christ, and the new creation. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

1. Genesis 3: 1-6, King James Version (KJV); 1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

2. Galatians 3: 26-29, KJV: 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

3. Isaiah 63: 16, KJV: 16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 4. 1st John 3: 7-11, KJV: 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is on the keeping of sacred relics among Christian believers. Many are presently offering their prayers in response to the massive fire that raged on April 15, 2019 through areas of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France. There is great concern for the irreplaceable art treasures, stained glass windows, and sacred relics maintained there. The first house erected on the earth as a dwelling place for the divine presence was a tabernacle featuring panels of cloth and boards of cedar wood. In addition to daily offerings and sacrifices of blood being made there, sanctified objects that compare to relics were gathered. The Ark of the Covenant was found within the tabernacle that was a storage chest to preserve and transport selected sacred objects commanded to be kept by divinity as memorials. These items were to be maintained within the ark beneath the platform where the Shekinah presence of GOD appeared (we say, between the cherubim; the Bema Seat; the Mercy Seat; the throne of judgment). The ark held two tables of stone displaying the covenant law that first had been written by the finger of GOD, and later was proclaimed by the voice of GOD to those assembled at Horeb; a pot of the manna that fell daily and not on the Sabbath for 40 years during the wanderings of Israel; and the almond rod of Aaron that GOD made to bud and blossom overnight to indicate the family and tribe whose inheritance would be the priesthood of Israel. One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion and Spirituality who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shown) posted the following:

Why would Catholics store what they claim to be Jesus’ crown of thorns in a wooden building?

The Notre Dame cathedral was built mostly of wood.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; (Hebrews 9: 4, King James Version, KJV)

Anonymous”, among the faithful, houses of worship (tabernacles, temples, cathedrals) are to be fashioned after the pattern of things in heaven. In the same way Christians rely on GOD for the keeping of the physical body (often called, a house), the cleansing and keeping of buildings and places for assembly by the people of GOD rely on continuous operations by divinity. In addition to copper, gold and silver, the architectural materials for the first sanctuary prepared on the earth at the time of Moses featured the use of cedar wood. The sacred discipline of acknowledging and preserving relics is in harmony with maintaining observances, memorials, and sacred practices as an inheritance for the children of GOD upon the earth. Mature believers in divinity seek to capture and repeat the authentic proclamations, promises, divine utterances, and testimonies they receive as benefit and privilege from GOD, and that they are challenged to share by unselfishly ministering to others.

While relics are accounted as objects that have been set apart for divine use (we say, made anointed, consecrated, holy, sanctified), and are preserved following sacred events that may include miracles, relics are not believed to embody life essence (i.e., breath; spirit; word) from the makeup of GOD that appears within all the living. Relics are not idols; yet, may be displayed using ceremonies, customs and traditions. Only sinners who return to GOD through rebirth and repentance will contain the inseparable aspects of divine fullness that join mankind to divinity in ongoing relationship. Included are faith, holiness, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, wisdom, and wrath against sin. Relics are lifeless objects having no independent ability, or sovereign will that allows communication, exchange, or their own continued existence among the living.

Mankind’s continued use and keeping of relics may be understood as another demonstration of faith that the proclamations, promises, prophecies, and eternal purposes of GOD concerning mankind’s salvation and eternal life will be fulfilled. Value for the Scripture record is affirmed and acknowledged, and the holy writings are endorsed as a genuine revelation of divine authority, grace, integrity, and righteousness. The hope (i.e., what believers are commanded by divinity to expect) regarding their benefits, gifts, and provisions from GOD emerges through the fresh endowment of spirit substance each believer receives from the makeup of GOD. For overcoming mortality, sin, and the second death, such finite human tools as determination (we say, a made-up-mind; willpower), carnal reason, logic, philosophy, science, technology and worldly wisdom are secondary to godly commitment, discernment, sacred knowledge, and holy vision. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

1. Numbers 17: 6-10, King James Version (KJV): 6 And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers’ houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods. 7 And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness. 8 And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds. 9 And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod. 10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron’s rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.

2. 2nd Corinthians 5: 1-10, KJV: 1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. 5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

3. 1st Corinthians 3: 11-17, KJV: 11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 4. Hebrews 9: 11-15, KJV: 11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. 13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

AN AFTERTHOUGHT: The acceptance of relics is very much a matter of ones faith, rather than doctrine, liturgy, and the practice of sacraments. Due to ignorance, incomplete knowledge of the occult, fascination with the supernatural, and superstition among developing believers, relics often are taken to be keepsakes or souvenirs from sacred events and miracles; objects that allow a person to have control, influence and power over the minds and conduct of others; items that ensure good fortune, luck and prosperity; and even, devices said to have magical properties. The holy writings do contain accounts that appear to describe the workings believed possible for a relic. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible: 2nd Kings 13: 20-21, King James Version (KJV): 20 And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year. 21 And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet. Also, it is written: Acts 19: 11-12, KJV: 11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: 12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them. In the church, relics are instruments of prophecy (comfort, edification, exhortation), and are associated with healing, miracles, and resurrection.
