Today, conversion is described as a sacred operation that must be carried out by divinity, and is not simply a carnal, intellectual, material, and social process.  Correctly understood, conversion is not completed by angels or mankind, for there must be a full transformation of the inborn spirit content within a sinner to enable their life as a mature Christian believer.  With this in view, conversion may only be accomplished through adoption of eternal purposes, prophecy (comfort, edification, exhortation), revelation, and the use of sacred processes (e.g., praise, prayer, purification, rebirth, repentance, sanctification, worship).  The goals of communion, being immersed within Deity, and answering oneness with divinity demands more than acquiring new knowledge, developing intimate and personal relationships, fitting in as a new employee or team member, socialization, and becoming integrated within an existing group.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Why do Christians say God converts people?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:  that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.  For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:  Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.  For he that is dead is freed from sin.  Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:  Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.  For in that he died, he died unto sin once:  but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.  Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.  Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.  (Romans 6:  3-13, King James Version, KJV)

“Solitary Wiccan”, the necessary changes a sinner must undergo to become a Christian believer goes far beyond acquiring new doctrine and sacred knowledge.  Applying finite academic, intellectual and scientific skills (e.g., analysis, argument, debate, dialog, hypothesizing, measurement, synthesis, and theorizing) are not the foremost requirements.  Rather, there must be an internalization of inseparable spirit matter imparted from the makeup of divinity (e.g., faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, meekness, wisdom, wrath against sin).  With this in view, church attendance, regularly reading the Bible, and continually studying catechisms, lesson quarterlies, or commentaries and devotionals only truly edify and expand sacred consciousness in those who are already born again.

Secular knowledge does not nourish the divine character, nature, and substance that are deposited within those who come to Christ through baptism (i.e., death and burial of ones inborn spirit with rebirth from divine DNA, so to speak).  As the children and offspring of GOD, born-again believers must “grow up again” and mature meeting life challenges upon the earth that include bereavement, comforting others, confession, enduring hardship, sharing, and overcoming suffering.  All are to become “ripe” for harvest to be taken from the earth by Jesus Christ at his coming (i.e., the Advent, the Rapture, the Second Coming).

There is far more to be said, carefully examined, and spiritually understood.  (For example, mankind is to become a “new creation” through operations that may only be carried out and performed by the same Holy Spirit who fashioned the earth and the heaven.  The sinner who receives the “life essence” (we say, breath, spirit, word) from Christ begins to experience gradual and permanent changes.  This continuous transformation of the believer to exist as an immortal and incorruptible divine life companion will be completed as they are lifted up to meet the Lord in the air.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, focus is upon atheism as an approach through formal studies to acquire and exchange secular knowledge in contrast to being in relationship through Jesus Christ to receive sacred knowledge by multiple operations of divinity.  The finite human tools of analysis, intellect, logic, and mental discipline alone have not been enough to release even the most brilliant thinkers among us from sin.  The achievement and fulfillment Christian believers speak of can not be obtained through arrogance, competition, ignorance, self-promotion, or superstition.  Spirit matter and divine process must come into consideration for they are the true sine qua non of wisdom.  The writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Ette” (Level 1 with 2 points, a member since May 11, 2014) posted the following:

Does atheism elevate the IQ?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:  When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.  Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.  So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)  Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.  But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.  For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;  While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.  For some, when they had heard, did provoke:  howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.  But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?  (Hebrews 3:  8-17, King James Version, KJV)

“Ette”, standard scores for a person’s intelligence reported as their IQ might well be increased through atheism, for atheism is a disciplined approach or framework for philosophical exchange that relies heavily upon carnal, mental, and social process.  Narrowing one’s focus to the material and natural order, atheism denies the metaphysical and suppresses focus upon divinity.  Even so, you can not separate the wet from the water.  Atheism must be regarded as useless as a tool to increase a person’s spiritual awareness; their ability to apply one’s own spirit to discern and respond to divine spirit within events, oneself, other persons, prophecy, etc.; their self-will (we say, will power); or their divine spirit content that should include inseparable elements such as faith, holiness, humility, joy, longsuffering, love, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Finite tools such as academic discourse, debate, investigation, mathematics, science and technology require focusing upon abstract, immaterial and invisible features, yet, do not permit operational definition of sin, its, elimination, and its removal.  (Thus, we have sinners who also have Ph. D. degrees.)  To develop an ongoing personal relationship with GOD who is a spirit requires a higher level of consciousness that must be imparted as life essence (we say, breath, spirit, word) from the makeup of the Creator.  The indwelling Spirit then generates the necessary system of meanings, standards (we say, divine law), and values.  Consider how some of this is stated using language from the Bible:

(1.)  Jeremiah 9:  23-24, King James Version (KJV):  23 Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:  24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth:  for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.

(2.)  2nd Corinthians 10:  17-18, KJV:  17 But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.  18 For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.

(3.)  Romans 1:  18-22, KJV:  18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;  19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.  20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

There is far more to be said, carefully examined, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  Titus 1:  15-16, KJV:  15 Unto the pure all things are pure:  but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.  16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, Scripture points are shared on the demand there be self-government, respect, and restraint for both academic achievement and Christian maturity.  Those who accomplish the many meaningful goals among the living—that include godliness, honor, and integrity—only are able to do so because they demand it from themselves.  While finite tools such as intellect, logic, philosophy, reason, science and technology are important for development, growth and human survival, they are not sufficient to eliminate sin from the earth.  The need is for sacred wisdom, and operations by divinity that will have enduring effect.  Thus, the process of divinity for redemption and salvation is one of wholeheartedly turning away from the flesh and the world to focus again upon GOD.  Arrogance, haughtiness, pride and selfishness are suppressed along with competitiveness, covetousness, envy, and violence.  A fighter at “Yahoo! THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect:  yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:  But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:  Which none of the princes of this world knew:  for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.  But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit:  for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.  For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  (1st Corinthians 2:  6-13, KJV)

“this”, as “born again” believers, every Christian is challenged to “grow up again” and display mature spirit content from GOD.  More than simply being within the church for a long period, becoming mature means gaining balance, completeness, consistency, and stability.  Each believer must acquire “sacred knowledge,” continue sacred practices (we say, sacraments, such as baptism, giving, prayer, and worship) as well as have a lifestyle embracing communication, exchange and interaction with more experienced believers (we say, fellowship).  In this, believers are no different than those who achieve the highest academic degree (Doctor of Philosophy, Ph.D.) by careful and continuous study, reflection, and contributing to and improving their field by adding new methods and materials, teaching, research, and writing.  For those seeking to achieve through the Liberal Arts, Natural and Social sciences, it is largely by the discipline maintained that dialogue and fruitful discourse may go forth in place of combat, conflict, and extremes of emotion.  For those granted place within the body of Christ, there is a similar demand; and the three R’s become Regime (i.e., divine government appearing through sacred law, meekness, principle, and eternal purpose), Respect (visible as attentiveness, comfort, gratitude, and humility), and Restraint.  Consider again how these ideas are shared using language from the Bible:

(1.)  Luke 2:  41-47, King James Version (KJV):  41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.  42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.  43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.  44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day’s journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.  45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.  46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.  47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.

(2.)  Luke 2:  48-52, KJV:  48 And when they saw him, they were amazed:  and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.  49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?  50 And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.  51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them:  but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.  52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

(3.)  Romans 13:  1-3, KJV:  1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God:  the powers that be are ordained of God.  2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God:  and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.  3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

There is far more that should be said, carefully examined, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  Colossians 2:  6-12, KJV:  6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:  7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.  8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.  9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.  10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:  11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:  12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen; and thou hast said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month.  Shall the flocks and the herds be slain for them, to suffice them? or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to suffice them?  And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD’s hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.  And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the LORD, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the tabernacle.  And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders:  and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.  But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad:  and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle:  and they prophesied in the camp.  And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp.  And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.  And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD’s people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!  And Moses gat him into the camp, he and the elders of Israel.  (Numbers 11:  21-30, KJV)

“Dajjal”, guidance by “learned elders” as a tool for government, prosperity, and security can be easily corrupted, misdirected, politicized, and made the tool of tyrants.  This is also true regarding those entrusted with divine mysteries and the sharing of sacred revelation to identify the character, nature, and substance of divinity.  We see a “failure of the council” appearing as sin that brings about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ as well as in the inability of the present United States Supreme Court to maintain its status, and resolve pressing issues within a democratic government having three branches.  In addition to accounts of covenants, divine law, patriarchs, priests, prophets, and angelic visitations to provide guidance and instruction upon the earth, the Bible also reports the formation of councils to embody divine “life essence” (we say, breath, spirit, word) from GOD, and continually make present inseparable aspects of the divine makeup.  Included are faith, forgiveness, holiness, joy, longsuffering, love, mercy, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Sin is a non-material, non-spirit influence that opposes the continued existence of divine law, the breath of life, and the entire universe.  Sin may dominate awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures.  Finite human tools such as debate, discourse, intellect, logic, philosophy, science and technology can not correctly and consistently detect, eliminate, and perfectly resist sin.  There must be sacred knowledge, godly practice, and consecrated oneness (we say, unity).  Even with a council, there must be a single figure (high priest, monarch, prophet?) having authority to manage development of consensus and unanimous decision.  Consider again the following from Scripture:

(1.)  Proverbs 11:  14, King James Version (KJV):  14 Where no counsel is, the people fall:  but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

(2.)  Daniel 6:  4-9, KJV:  4 Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.  5 Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.  6 Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever.  7 All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.  8 Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.  9 Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.

(3.)  Matthew 26:  59-63, KJV:  59 Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;  60 But found none:  yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,  61 And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.  62 And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?  63 But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

There is far more to be said, understood, and spiritually taken in.  (For example, (4.)  Acts 23:  6-9, KJV:  6 But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee:  of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.  7 And when he had so said, there arose a dissension between the Pharisees and the Sadducees:  and the multitude was divided.  8 For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit:  but the Pharisees confess both.  9 And there arose a great cry:  and the scribes that were of the Pharisees’ part arose, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man:  but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, points are shared to show that the processes to proclaim and preserve truth regarding Jesus Christ must be carried out by divinity.  Correctly understood, Christ is experienced and known only as the Lord continuously abides within his living believers and followers in the form of spirit content from the makeup of GOD.  Multiple sacred operations that are carried out by Deity must come into awareness such as atonement, forbearance, forgiveness, Incarnation, priesthood, sacrifice, resurrection, Transfiguration, and ascension.  Because they typically focus on things that are carnal, material and social, even a detailed biography and other forms of documentation and formal writing from ancient times would not convey prophecy and spirit content as do the holy writings.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Update:  Point being, a super-human god walking around performing magic and a whole fan-club in tow seems like something to scribble into the diary. I’d expect thousands of different perspectives to turn up from all over the world. There just isn’t.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:  Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man:  but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.  (2nd Peter 1:  19-21, KJV)

fumblesmcst00l”, most correctly understood, the communication of divine truth and sacred knowledge is not accomplished using finite human tools such as intellect, logic, philosophy, science, and technology.  Revelation (i.e., divinity being made knowable and known to created beings and living creatures) must be accomplished through the “active presence” of Deity.  Thus, the visceral event of Jesus dying upon the cross is required along with exchanges and interactions among imparted spirit matter (we also say, breath, life essence, word) from the makeup of GOD.  Included must be inseparable aspects of divinity such as faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, law (the expressed will of GOD), wisdom, and wrath against sin.

Sacred truth is preserved as living routines and sacraments maintained by communities chosen to serve in witness (we say, congregations of the anointed, the elect).  This agrees with evidences derived from academic and secular studies showing only devotees within an exclusive priestly class are initiated into the “mysteries” or seen endowed with “holy writings” in cultures relying upon oral history, and where literacy was not widespread.  The publishing of public information regarding Jesus as Son of GOD was strictly controlled by the Romans and Jews through oppression and persecution that included excommunication from the synagogues and the Temple, imprisonment, torture, and death.  With this in view, even private communications such as epistles and letters, had to be encoded, guarded, and made so personal they would be useless to disbelievers.

There is far more that should be said, understood, and spiritually taken in.  (For example, mature Christian believers trust that, through operations of the Holy Spirit, blood, correction, and truth from the cross are flowing to here and now.  Even so, preaching the cross is not clearly heard in cultures that breed consumerism, deceit, fantasy, idolatry, ignorance, materialism, politics, pride, pseudo-intellectualism, and skepticism.  Many who will hear and read this statement will dismiss it because they lack discernment that comes only by spiritual practice and application.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, focus is upon relationships among critical thinking, freedom, self-will, and who believers are through the cross.  Correctly understood, all Christians are entered into a spiritual process, not one that is academic.  Christian belief requires continual alertness and vigilance of mind and spirit, for all believers must acquire sacred knowledge, and maintain sacred practices that are to fulfill divine promises, prophecies, and eternal purposes.  Such aspects of human experience as error through habits, ignorance, fantasy, foolishness, and sentiment are unfruitful, useless, and vain (i.e., lacking spirit content and power from the makeup of GOD).  Readers are asked to consider the following points from the Scriptures, and the presentation below:

Romans 8:  1-5, King James Version (KJV):  1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.  3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:  4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

1st Corinthians 1:  18-24, KJV:  18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.  19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.  20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?  21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.  22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:  23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;  24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Ephesians 4:  29-32, KJV:  29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.  30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.  31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:  32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

1st Corinthians 1:  25-32, KJV:  25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.  26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:  27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;  28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:  29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.  30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:  31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:  for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:  as it is written, The just shall live by faith.  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;  Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,  And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.  Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.  (Romans 1:  16-25, KJV)

“Jerrime”, increasingly, for many mature Christian believers, there are only two forms of “will”, finite will (also called, self-will) as within created beings and living creatures (e.g., angels, animals, mankind, sacred beasts in heaven), and divine will that makes Deity knowable and known as “active” and “present”.   Just as believers in Jesus Christ as Savior and Son of GOD use the same carnal tools for running, speaking, and walking as those who count themselves intellectuals and scientists, the disciples and followers of Christ as Lord use the same forms provided by the flesh for discursive and intellectual thought upon the earth (e.g., analysis, comparison, contrast, deduction, induction, synthesis).  What many call “scientific method” and “critical thinking” are regularly used by Christians; however, for those “born again,” more powerful tools have been supplied that are not grounded in profane or worldly definitions, logic, and process.

Relationship with GOD through Jesus Christ is the goal for every Christian; and just as “critical thinking” important and necessary within the academic arena, classroom or laboratory is less relevant and useful in the relationship with ones “soul mate” or spouse, relationship to the Creator requires commitment that appears as exclusive and restricting more than it demands “critical thinking.”  The believer is to reach a point of understanding where, positioned before Christ on the cross, they clearly see their own faults, needs, and place within a new creation.  Even so, GOD values the “whole” person, body, mind and Spirit on the basis of what we will become.  Those outside of a sound relationship with our Maker experience bitterness, spiritual confusion, envy, exaggerated pride, resentment (as if betrayed or cheated), and a profound sense of loss.  However, correctly understood, even the natural emotional states (e.g., anger, fear, suspicion) are to be suspended; and operations from ones own content of the Holy Spirit are to go forward.  Born again believers are to meet the same life challenges as all others upon the earth being endowed with spirit matter from the makeup of GOD.  Included are inseparable aspects of divine being such as faith, holiness, longsuffering, righteousness, truth, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

In life, Christ demonstrated that freedom is not destroyed by commitment, promise, or having fixed goals and eternal purposes.  His followers now are in an ongoing process whereby they experience permanent change (i.e., growth, learning, maturity, transformation) to continue as life companions of divinity, who are immortal and incorruptible (we say, perfected).  As those who are being made “ripe” to be harvested from the earth at his appearing (we say, the Rapture, the Second Coming), the disciples of Christ all trust that, despite time and space, through operations of the Holy Spirit, blood and truth from the cross are flowing to here and now.  Consider how some of this is stated using language from the Bible:

(1.)  Deuteronomy 6:  4-6, King James Version (KJV):  4 Hear, O Israel:  The LORD our God is one LORD:  5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.  6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

(2.)  Deuteronomy 30:  6, KJV:  6 And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

(3.)  Micah 6:  7-9, KJV:  7 Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?  8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?  9 The LORD’s voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name:  hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.

There is far more to be said, understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Luke 10:  25-28, KJV:  25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?  26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?  27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.  28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right:  this do, and thou shalt live.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

The term “Judeo-Christian” is the topic, today, along with the sharing of faith despite differences and diversity.  The Social Sciences as an area of academic discipline have fostered use of the term “Judeo-Christian” when describing cultural phenomena or populations as well as when examining activity between and among national groups.  Neither Christian nor Jewish believers are correctly acknowledged as spiritual bodies (i.e., living units that contain faith, holiness, and other spirit matter from the makeup of Deity).  Where academics insist upon “critical thinking” and study that fails to embrace sacred knowledge the actual focus continues to be conflict, differences, and patterns of human error, rather than divinity, godliness, oneness and unity.  Consider the following Scriptures, and the comments below:  Acts 5:  34-40, King James Version (KJV):  34 Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;  35 And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men.  36 For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves:  who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought.  37 After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him:  he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.  38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone:  for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:  39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.  40 And to him they agreed:  and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.  Also, Romans 8:  3-5, KJV:  3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:  4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  Romans 3:  28-30, KJV:  28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.  29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:  30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Why do People say “Judeo – Christian”?

In view of what we know today, how can there be “Judeo-Christian” anything?

“Judeo-Christian” is as unrealistic as it would be to say anything is “hot-cold,” or “old-young,” or “heavy-light,” or that a person was “healthy-sick,” or “poor-rich,” or “dumb-smart,” or “ignorant-educated,” or “happy-sad.” These words are antonyms, not synonyms.

A CHRISTian is a believer in and a followr of, the teachings of Jesus CHRIST.

Judeo-Christian….HUH!

Seems to me there’s a lot of CONDITIONING going on.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law:  that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.  Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight:  for by the law is the knowledge of sin.  But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;  Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe:  for there is no difference:  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;  Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:  Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;  To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness:  that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.  (Romans 3:  19-26, KJV)

“Noah”, the expression “Judeo-Christian” is recognized by many as “academic” or “scholarly” language used among those who examine the things of divinity as being  abstractions, mental constructs, and secular traditions.  On the one hand, very real differences that exist between Christian and Jewish belief are to be correctly “acknowledged”.  On the other hand, none may dismiss the shared expectations, origins, processes, and values for the two distinct expressions of faith.  Historically, the early Christians were condemned and persecuted by the High Priest and others of the Jewish hierarchy as being another in a series of misguided, unorthodox, extremist groups within their community that followed a charismatic leader (we say, a cult).  It remains as firm belief for many that Deity is active through created beings and living creatures, and is fulfilling eternal purposes through the things that exist.  For those today who pursue faith as a matter of lifestyle, self-awareness, and communal definition, Jewish belief appears as conservative and unchanging, having its primary purpose as continuing covenant relationship with divinity, manifesting divine law, and preserving oracles from GOD.  By contrast, Christian belief is active, forward-looking, and volatile because grounded in prophecy and revelation.   Christian belief declares a new covenant with new understandings for sacred law and judgment.  Consider again the language provided throughout the holy writings:

(1.)  Deuteronomy 7:  6-10, King James Version (KJV):  6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God:  the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.  7 The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:  8 But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.  9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;  10 And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them:  he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.

(2.)  Romans 2:  28-29, KJV:  28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:  29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

(3.)  Romans 3:  1-3, KJV:  1 What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?  2 Much every way:  chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.  3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

(4.)  Romans 2:  12-15, KJV:  12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;  13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.  14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:  15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

(5.)  Romans 9:  30-32, KJV:  30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.  31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.  32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

(6.)  Hebrews 9:  19-23, KJV:  19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,  20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.  21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.  22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.  23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

There are many other verses that should be carefully considered, correctly understood, and made a part of ones own expression of faith.  (For example, (7.)  Hebrews 9:  11-15, KJV:  11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;  12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.  13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:  14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?  15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Many are called, but few will show themselves to be the elect.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Cautions are shared, today, about academic instruction and secular study of the Bible.  Often, those who hold seats as college and university faculty are called upon to give instruction regarding doctrine and teachings from the Bible, however, because of the values for their discipline and field of inquiry, what they actually present to their students are arrogance, counterfeit righteousness, ignorance of sacred knowledge, pride and unbelief.  While many on our campuses now openly declare themselves to be atheist, it remains that, disbelief and doubt are more in the nature of incompleteness and pseudo-intellectualism than legitimate levels of intellect and genuine achievement.  Students are to be alert for those who presume to attack religion as the source of spiritual confusion and fanaticism, for by the standards given followers of Jesus Christ such persons are spiritually immature; therefore, they also foolishly accuse and condemn divinity as the cause of all cruelty, death, human error, malice, murder, suffering, viciousness, and violence.  The writer at “Yahoo! Help with Judges!?
Hi everyone!

So in my theology class we will be discussing Judges starting next week. My teacher handed out a list of two questions to think about as we read Judges and discuss this particular section of the Bible. There are the two questions:
1. The Book of Judges is filled with excessive violence through the various stories. How are these stories intended to illustrate the beauty of God’s covenant with Israel, which supposedly should override the violence of the story.
2. Compare and contrast violent stories in Judges with any other story in the Old Testament in order to show any similarities or critical differences.

I just want to sort of have a better understanding of Judges before we actually start reading it next week.

Thanks!

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought he them out of it.  And about the time of forty years suffered he their manners in the wilderness.  And when he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Chanaan, he divided their land to them by lot.  And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.  And afterward they desired a king:  and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.  And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.  Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:  (Acts 13:  17-23, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Right Place to Get Knowledge? (02/17/2014); Arguing Against the Bible in Church? (02/18/2014); Snake Handling? “Addison Mckinley”, because your teacher’s approach shown in the questions for discussion centers upon violence in the holy writings—rather than the character and nature of divinity, or the place of divine law, holy love, and judgment within the full process of divine revelation—the instruction you are likely to receive probably will not acknowledge the Book of Judges as a written history of sacred not secular events (i.e., actions taken by divinity; miracles), and the word of GOD.  Nowadays, it is not inappropriate, as class begins to ask your instructors to state their personal belief regarding the Bible, for it will alert their students to any possible assumptions (statements taken to be truth for the sake of discussion that may remain unchallenged, undocumented, and unsubstantiated), bias, subtleties (barely visible differences; hidden shifts in meaning and value) as well as unintended emphases that might later appear.  Often, teachers unknowingly operate as if speaking to unbelievers only.

Academicians repeatedly insist upon a neutrality and “objectivity” that allows dismissing the Scriptures as, themselves, a peculiar appearance of Deity.  The divine mind and an eternal perspective are shared using thousands of events occurring within thousands of lives, over the course of thousands of years providing a base of sacred knowledge.  Study using tools for literary criticism and scholarly examination of the Scriptures often foster the idea that there is no spirit aspect of mankind that requires continuous cleansing, correction, guidance, healing, management, and nourishment by a sovereign Creator.  More than this, many  maliciously seek to condemn and deny divinity as cruel, heartless, and inhuman.

Even without the simple, yet, profound problem of sin, divine intent and eternal purpose require that finite created beings and living creatures must acquire correct knowledge of divinity through experiences of intimate relationship that are at once extreme and sublime (we say, asocial, non-material, supernatural).  Oral history and knowledge maintained by Adam (who lived nearly 1,000 years, a millennium, upon a pollution-free earth) and the other Patriarchs was amplified through covenant, and written law received and recorded by  Moses.  A broad range of other divine responses have been provided including confession, contemplation, imparting spirit content through baptism, incarnation, praise, prayer, rebirth, resurrection from the dead, and sanctification.

Once within the Promised Land, following the death of Joshua, the manifest rule of GOD as King among believers was to be through the priests of the tabernacle, and the system of judges over 10s, 50s, 100s, etc.  Disobedience, idolatry, pride and the breakdown of the earlier mechanisms for discipline of the nation, called forth new roles as deliverer-judge, and judge-spokesperson (prophet).  This would finally result in the miraculous birth of Samuel, who is called the last of the Judges, and the first of the line of Old Testament prophets modeled after Moses and Joshua.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, one important approach to study from the Book of Judges is to respect the entire Bible as documenting a priesthood upon the earth patterned after that in the heaven.  Thereby, believers are able to grasp that Jesus Christ is installed as an High Priest to carry out the offering of gifts and sacrifices to GOD as well as performing atonement for the sin among believers.  The exceeding damage, filthiness and ugliness of sin against heaven is made clear by its appearance in the earth as habitual and repeated human error.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
