Achieve The Purpose

Today, reply addresses whether “word” is the divine person we speak of as “God”.  Many who believe in GOD are comfortable saying that divinity existed as the Word in the beginnings of Creation, yet, these same folk often are very troubled by the teaching that the Word became incarnate, and appeared embodied within another person on the earth using human form, Jesus Christ.  A writer in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum who uses the ID “LOVE” (Level 4 with 4,011 points, a member since May 11, 2011) posted the following:

Is the word same as God? Why?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  He came unto his own, and his own received him not.  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.  John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me:  for he was before me.  And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.  For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.  (John 1:  11-17, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  “New Creation” and Life (01/01/2018); The Device of Incarnation (10/18/2017); The Word of GOD (09/05/2017); “and without Him nothing” (08/14/2017); Also Called “The Amen” (01/29/2017); Jesus Known As Word (01/17/2016); GOD Appearing As Word (01/14/2016); The Preeminence of the Word (08/23/2015)

“LOVE”, where developing Christian believers grasp the notion that “GOD is a spirit” who imparted aspects of himself to Adam and Eve (the male and female figures he had fashioned to exist as vessels containing divine content) they also are challenged to accept that the material or substance from GOD that established life within the pair may be spoken of as breath, life essence, spirit, utterance or Word.  The figures existed before the infusion of divine content that established life.

GOD is knowable and known through the objects divinity has put forth and manipulated as the spheres of life and all that they hold.  With that said, GOD is no mere abstraction, intellectual creation, or hypothetical construct.  Because the inseparable aspects of the Word may be known to created beings and living creatures operating as active presence, the Word is described as having and conveying such features of Deity as accountability, authority, commitment, direction, duration, focus, grace, and personhood (i.e., ability to communicate, exchange, respond, and interact in continuing personal relationships) as well as power to express compassion, divine love, purpose, truth, and value.

The Word is to operate within the consciousness and self-will of the living through their immeasurable dimensions of spirit substance (e.g., faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, purity, wisdom, wrath against sin).  Thus, the Word appears in multiple forms or incarnations such as blessings, covenants, curses, divine law, instruction and parables, proclamation, promises, and prophecy.  The Word is acknowledged as on a higher plane than features of the living that present as appetite (e.g., hunger, thirst, cravings for sex), sensation (e.g., hearing, seeing, tasting, touching), and emotion/mental functions (e.g., anger, fear, imagination, recall).  Consider again the following that use language from the Bible:

(1.)  Isaiah 55:  10-12, King James Version (KJV):  10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:  11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth:  it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.  12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace:  the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

(2.)  Psalms 107:  17-20, KJV:  17 Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.  18 Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.  19 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.  20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

(3.)  Romans 10:  12-17, KJV:  12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek:  for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.  13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.  14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?  15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!  16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?  17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  1st Corinthians 1:  18-25, KJV:  18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.  19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.  20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?  21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.  22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:  23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;  24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.  25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

The Greatest of These

Today, the meanings of divine faith, hope and love are considered in the light of the personhood of GOD being spirit substance that also puts forth flesh and blood.  Among Christian believers these three are made visible in lovingkindness, obedience, respect, restraint, and sacrifice (we say, unselfish giving).  One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information appears) posted the following:

Christians: What does it mean , that GOD Loves you? and what does that Love do for you?

….and what is hope. isn’t hope just a wish.
…and faith what about faith

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.  Owe no man any thing, but to love one another:  for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.  For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  Love worketh no ill to his neighbour:  therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.  And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep:  for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.  The night is far spent, the day is at hand:  let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.  Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.  But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.  (Romans 13:  7-14, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Through Love Not Persuasion? (01/18/2018); Praying For “More Faith”? (01/12/2018); What Do Christians Expect? (01/09/2018); To Define “Godly Love” (08/20/2017); The Practice of Love (07/27/2017); Divine Law Expresses Love (05/10/2017); Hope That Is True
Saying (02/20/2017); “GOD is Love” (12/18/2016); Herein Is True Love (10/21/2016)

“Anonymous”, the definitions and meanings for “faith”, “hope”, and “love” that are used by Christian believers must be received as elements within a full system and vocabulary of sacred things, and things that pertain to duration, existence, immortality, incorruption, and sovereignty.  Just as more than simply passing, or temporal emotions, feelings and thoughts must come into view, inseparable, unseen aspects of the content and makeup of GOD always must be addressed.  For example, there also are forbearance, holiness, oneness without sameness, eternal purpose, righteousness, truth, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

Deity must provide the elements that allow created beings and living creatures to be in continuous, ongoing communication, exchange, and interaction with themselves (we say, the GODhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit).  Only by the multiple operations of GOD can divinity exist to the living as knowable, known, accessible, and approachable.  Sinners must search for, and discover within their own life experiences the many points of truth that fit together as divine revelation, and sacred knowledge in place of secular knowledge.

There is no single object or thing to completely, correctly describe all that is involved where we speak of faith, hope, and love.  Therefore, throughout the holy writings we find different and new expressions to “approximate” (i.e., get increasingly closer) to the full and most necessary understandings.  For this reason, definitions will vary in agreement with the intent of the statement they appear in; in agreement with the peculiar covenant relationships shared by GOD and those of his creation; in agreement with various sacred operations (e.g., deliverance, judgment, reconciliation, salvation, sanctification); and in agreement with specific proclamation, promises, and prophecies.

Because “love” pertains to the “quality” of ones experience of life, “to love” is to impart, or add dimension (e.g., completeness, depth, richness) and value to another without demanding payment, or return.  Because believers are commanded to be forward-looking, main specific memorials and observances, and prepare to witness fulfillment of all divine utterance, “to hope” is to obey commands to continue in expectation of the word of GOD actually being carried out, performed, and completed by GOD.  Because “faith” is a blending of accountability, commitment, and integrity of ones makeup, “to have faith” is to display balance, maturity, stability, and a similitude of divine immutability (we say, “the image of GOD;” the likeness of the unchanging character and nature of GOD).  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  John 4:  23-24, King James Version (KJV):  23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth:  for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  24 God is a Spirit:  and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

(2.)  Colossians 3:  9-17, KJV:  9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;  10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:  11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free:  but Christ is all, and in all.  12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;  13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any:  even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.  14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.  15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.  16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.  17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

David-and-Goliath Mocking

Today, annihilation (the second death), David and Goliath, stoning, and the plagues of Egypt are in view.  Only through judgment that displays divine grace, mercy, and righteousness can there be the completeness of divine revelation.  Because so many of us first heard an account of David and Goliath as a bedtime story, or something to amuse and entertain us, many continue to dismiss and undervalue important the aspects of divine revelation that appear.  In addition to judgment against the enemies of GOD’s peculiar people, that there is judgment against GOD’s people themselves is not to be overlooked.  Goliath was one of the last remaining descendants from the seven tribes who had lived in Canaan as the covenant people of GOD prior to Israel leaving Egypt.  For their transgression of sacred covenant, his entire culture and race were to have been removed from the Promised Land.  Thus, he may be thought of as part of “Israel’s unfinished business,” and his destruction a fulfillment of divine mandate.  A fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum using the ID “Racket” (Level 7 with 25,403 points, a member since November 14, 2015) posted the following:

David betrayed Goliath !!! Why didn’t he use a sword instead of throwing a stone? Anyone can win wrestling if he use catapult?

Is this not a cheating of a God-chosen?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength:  and ye would not.  But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee:  and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.  One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee:  till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill.  And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you:  for the LORD is a God of judgment:  blessed are all they that wait for him.  For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem:  thou shalt weep no more:  he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.  And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:  And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.  (Isaiah 30:  15-21, King James Version (KJV):

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Secular History, Sacred Revelation? (01/11/2018); GOD Protects the Faithful (12/19/2017); David, Goliath and GOD (05/26/2017); The Wisdom of Years? (10/31/2016); The Accounts of Giants (05/24/2016); Christ the Son of David? (06/12/2015); The Priesthood of Kings (10/17/2012); Childlike Faith (10/18/2012)

“Racket”, many disbelieve that GOD exists on the basis of their failure to recognize the real “presence” of divine judgment.  Mature Christians may describe the confrontation between David and Goliath as one expressing divine judgment, and wrath against sin that is an inseparable aspect of the divine fullness along with faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, righteousness, and wisdom.  What on surface is merely a contest or a “fair fight” between two proud, or reckless individuals on a battlefield also must be acknowledged as a conflict between two nations, two different covenant relationships with GOD, and a sacred event that addresses divine promise, prophecy, and eternal purpose.  In the same way, sinners make too little of the judgment displayed against Egypt as 10 plagues, they also make too little of the judgment that came against the Philistines.

No longer should Goliath’s offense against Israel be understood as only having challenged, insulted and mocked the army of Israel.  Goliath blasphemed; denied glory to GOD, the Creator and King over Israel; and manifested himself as a living idol among the Philistines.  That only David was sensitive to this, or reacted as personally attacked can be discerned as an indication that the divine anointing by Samuel the Prophet, and the imparted Spirit of GOD already were operating within, and speaking out through David.

The rules of engagement and warfare center on conflicts for conquest, gaining territory, and expanding wealth.  Use of stoning as a sanction against sin comes into view as a provision that further binds a community through shared accountability, obedience to sacred law, and fundamental principles pertaining to divine sovereignty.  Mortality in mankind introduced through Adam must be completed and fulfilled.  Even so, divine provisions may include rebirth, resurrection, and new life.  In communal judgment, every member of the collective casts only a single stone.  The person who casts the stone that delivers the fatal blow may remain secret, and known only to GOD.  There can be no “fair fight” between a full grown, seasoned warrior and a teen-aged shepherd boy; however, as part of becoming mature on the earth, there must be a “fight of faith” for every believer.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  1st Samuel 17:  4-11, King James Version (KJV):  4 And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.  5 And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass.  6 And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders.  7 And the staff of his spear was like a weaver’s beam; and his spear’s head weighed six hundred shekels of iron:  and one bearing a shield went before him.  8 And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.  9 If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants:  but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us.  10 And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.  11 When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.

(2.)  1st Samuel 17:  32-37, KJV:  32 And David said to Saul, Let no man’s heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.  33 And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him:  for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.  34 And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:  35 And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth:  and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.  36 Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear:  and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.  37 David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended regarding the Spirit imparted from GOD through Jesus Christ.  (For example, (3.)  1st Samuel 17:  40-50, KJV:  40 And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd’s bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand:  and he drew near to the Philistine.  41 And the Philistine came on and drew near unto David; and the man that bare the shield went before him.  42 And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him:  for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance.  43 And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.  44 And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.  45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield:  but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.  46 This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.  47 And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear:  for the battle is the LORD’s, and he will give you into our hands.  48 And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh to meet David, that David hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.  49 And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.  50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

ProdigalFather

As depicted through the parable of the Prodigal son, where we choose to leave, our heavenly Father will daily look for signs of our return.  See Luke 15:  20, King James Version (KJV):  And he arose, and came to his father.  But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

Today, reply is on spiritual growth, leaving the fold (apostasy), and returning to the body of Christ.  In the same way, none should not be able to break, or make the bond between a mother and her child simply by using cheap talk and conversation, becoming a new creation through Jesus Christ should not be regarded as something that may be accomplished, undone, or denied to sinners merely by using verbal argument, lies, and persuasion.  Even so, many young people abandon their relationship with GOD through Christ and his church before they have received anointing by the Holy Spirit, or have become sufficiently mature enough, and skilled enough, to respond to life challenges as an adult having more than the tools of their childhood.  One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shown) posted the following:

I m leaving christanity because they couldnt convince that God is one !?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts:  and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.  For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth:  it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.  For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace:  the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.  Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree:  and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.  (Isaiah 55:  6-13, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, sinners are to come to Christ through operations of divine love, not argument, debate, and persuasion.  However, exalting the flesh, romance, and sexual adventure, many reject and resist godly love.  Before the imparted Spirit from GOD begins to operate within and through our own lives, it is as though we do not have eyes, yet, we sincerely want to see.  Such finite human tools as academic knowledge, emotion, intellect, logic, philosophy, carnal reason, secular knowledge, and science can not replace acknowledgment of the divine law, memorials, and sacraments provided by GOD (e.g., praise through hymns and songs; private prayer; Sabbath-keeping); fellowship with and shared respect from those having sacred knowledge; regular study of the holy writings; and use of discernment (ability to apply ones own spirit content from the makeup of Deity as a standard to recognize and respond to the same spirit as it resides within other persons, events, messages, prophecy, purposes, etc.).

Coming to Christ is described as an organic, personal process of joining, and is not a matter of going through multi-staged mechanical procedure.  A sinner must engage divinity through continuing discovery; by enduring life challenges and “growing pains” that may include hardship and suffering; by gradual growth to become mature/ripe for harvest when the Lord returns; and by undergoing permanent changes that appear as simple, yet, are profound (far-reaching in their application, connections, and consequences).

Yes, there are many who complain saying, GOD is threatening them; others are seeking to brainwash and manipulate their minds; and GOD uses coercion and fear to force acceptance of his authority.  However, in the same way accountability and commitment identify mature love relationships, and the lack of those elements expose immature romance, infatuation, and “puppy love,” the arguments and claims by those who think and speak disbelief can be recognized as simple (misdirected; misinformed; underdeveloped).  Unlike those who are hostile, filled with malice, self-destructive, and ungodly, the simple make such attacks in the effort to gain emotional and psychological strength.  Only in time do they realize, the strength of their spirit has not been increased and nourished.   Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Proverbs 20:  11, King James Version (KJV):  11 Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.

(2.)  Jeremiah 4:  22, KJV:  22 For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding:  they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

(3.)  Romans 8:  35-39, KJV:  35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,  39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  James 4:  7-10, KJV:  7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.  9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep:  let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.  10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

forgiveness

Today, topics are forgiveness and suicide.  Many feel that, where acts of suicide are driven by depression or emotional and psychological vulnerability, compassion should be shown to the deceased.  Yet, those who kill themselves often are acting in haste to condemn everyone in their own lives and all who are around themselves.  Killing oneself can not be labeled as acceptable, or a godly act of courage and maturity.  Suicide emerges by operations of the flesh and of sin; and self-murder is never the product of the divine Spirit.  Given its eternal purpose and benefits, Jesus dying on the cross should never be spoken of as an act of suicide and self-destruction.  A new writer in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum who uses the ID “Callum” (Level 1 with 90 points, a member since November 29, 2017) posted the following:

Does god forgive suicide?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid.  Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.  And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise upon his sword, and died with him.  So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armourbearer, and all his men, that same day together.  (1st Samuel 31:  4-6, King James Version, KJV)

“Callum”, because forgiveness is an expression of the character and makeup of divinity, many Christian believers regard forgiveness as a matter of “who GOD is,” of divine grace, of divine love, of His divine prerogative, and of His sovereign will, not a matter of who we are, whether or not we ask for forgiveness, whether or not we confess our faults, and what may have been the particular sin and specific wrongdoing a sinner has committed.

Among Christians, “suicide” is ending ones own life, and the act of self-murder does not bring glory, honor, redemption or rest, for suicide denies that we are accountable to others who value our lives and rely on us, and that we may permanently damage them as well as ourselves (e.g., children, community, parents, spouse).  Killing oneself presumes upon the Creator, for a suicide (one who commit’s the act) transgresses sacred law by acting without divine permission (in effect, they steal divine authority and privilege from the owner and source of all that exists and has life).

The operations of sin are suicidal, for they oppose the continued existence of all divine law, the Law Giver, and divine order throughout the entire universe.  The person who chooses suicide usurps and unlawfully condemns all the living; their self-condemnation is an act of exaggerated pride wherein they take the place of GOD in judgment.  Also, for those who commit suicide, there can be no discovery and realization of their error that might properly trigger the expression of godly sorrow for sin.  Any sacrifice for atonement can not be followed by a “life of repentance” where there is growth in commitment, trust, and understanding.  Christians are to consider the following from the Bible:

(1.)  2nd Corinthians 7:  9-11, King James Version (KJV):  9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance:  for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.  10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of:  but the sorrow of the world worketh death.  11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.

(2.)  Ezekiel 18:  20-23, KJV:  20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son:  the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.  21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.  22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him:  in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.  23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GODand not that he should return from his ways, and live?

(3.)  Romans 6:  3-6, KJV:  3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?  4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:  that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.  5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:  6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

(4.)  Psalms 116:  3-13, KJV:  3 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me:  I found trouble and sorrow.  4 Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.  5 Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.  6 The LORD preserveth the simple:  I was brought low, and he helped me.  7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.  8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.  9 I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.  10 I believed, therefore have I spoken:  I was greatly afflicted:  11 I said in my haste, All men are liars.  12 What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?  13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and made a part of our own spirit makeup.  (For example, (5.)  Hebrews 6:  4-8, KJV:  4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,  5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,  6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.  7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:  8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is on an unresolved conflict between an adult believer and several young musicians in his congregation.  As with other forms of prophetic demonstration, music ministry is a high privilege from GOD whereby divine things are provided that are simple yet profound, far-reaching in their sacred consequences, and rich in their spirit content.  Many in the church do not want to obey, or are unfamiliar with the “rules” that should be followed by those who prophesy (e.g., a man ought not prophesy with his head covered; a woman ought not prophecy with her head uncovered; wearing the whole armor of GOD, a man may prophesy wearing the helmet of salvation; for those joined in holy matrimony, a woman is “covered” by her husband, and her spouse by the Lord; saints will prophesy wearing the crown of life).  In the same way many miss that a piano, an electric guitar, or a zither is also a “stringed instrument” that may be used along with the harp or violin in praising GOD as urged by the Prophet and King, David, many miss that young people, may be prophets and spokespersons in service to GOD.  Even so, it is not incorrect to admonish all who enter the sanctuary of the church to be alert to those things associated with the lifestyles of artists and creative people (such as “bumper stickers” and labels on their drums or other personal property) that present proverbs and “wisdom” of the world that are contrary to the sacred guidance and instruction that come to us from GOD.  Rather than condemn anyone, or despair of their ever “growing up” and understanding, they are to be accepted, nourished, respected, and shared with as “developing believers” and those who are still “a divine work in progress” (like ourselves).  One of the fighters using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile data appears) posted the following:

This guy at church offends me and refuses to remove his stickers that offend me?

I am a singer in a church. My son(8) broke the drummers brother guitar at our church and now the guitarist refuses to play but he still comes as his brother is our drummer. I am 40. I find the stickers the drummer has on his drum set(in front of his bass drum) very offensive, he has some stickers from bands he enjoys on them they are not religious bands they are rock bands. He also has 3 stickers that say “think for yourself, don’t think like me or anyone else.” And one that says “wassup” and another that says “be who you wanna be not what they tell you.” I find all of those very offensive and don’t like my young son(8) seeing those the drummer refuses to remove them saying it is his drum set and he does what he wants with them. What would you do?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.  Let Israel rejoice in him that made him:  let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.  Let them praise his name in the dance:  let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.  For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people:  he will beautify the meek with salvation.  Let the saints be joyful in glory:  let them sing aloud upon their beds.  Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;  To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;  To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;  To execute upon them the judgment written:  this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.  (Psalms 149:  1-9, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, it sounds as if your pastor and others are not aware of some of these issues.  Even so, here are some points that may not be familiar, and usually are shared through the Holy Spirit as discovery:

Because music is so widely available in our society for amusement, entertainment, and relaxation, many within the church encounter spiritual confusion concerning the godliness, proper place, and eternal purpose of choirs and musicians for the family of GOD, and his household of faith.  On the one hand, most accept that music and singing may add to celebration, praise, and thanksgiving.  On the other hand, many fail to correctly understand that dance, “praise”, “prophecy” (i.e., comfort; nourishing and building up the spirit power and presence of the church (edification); exhortation (urging action be taken now) ), and spoken word (we say, poetry) also are important as tools used to give glory and honor to GOD.

Correctly understood, choirs and musicians demonstrate the level of alertness, discipline, obedience, responsiveness, and restraint expressing love that is to be achieved by the entire worship body.  They appear within the sanctuary of a church (the most holy place within the building, because it is purified by the divine presence and set apart by the prayers of the congregation) as those who further cleanse, lift, and make fragrant (like incense) the offerings and sacrifices to GOD that are the “calves of our lips.”  The active presence who is Eternal GOD appears in the midst of the believers through the device of praise.  In addition to praise and worship, the use of music and song appears on the earth in keeping with the patterns revealed to the Patriarchs and Moses showing assembly, exaltation, and service performed in heaven by the holy angels, the four and twenty elders, and the sacred beasts of heaven.  Thus, the Psalms of David and those he appointed as music ministers served as liturgy and provided formal structure for worship along with confession, doctrine, guidance, and testimony.

Many are drawn to the church on the basis of their desire to gain, not to give.  Deceived by the world, and continuing the ignorance of our “old man,” we seek “freedom(?)”, popularity, prosperity, and success at one another’s expense, and in ways that are contrary to our makeup as vessels of divine spirit through baptism (i.e., death, burial of ones inborn spirit, resurrection as divine seed).  All who are “born again” must “grow up again” and become “mature again” by meeting life challenges and “growing pains” on the earth as well as enduring suffering and preparing to be fully transformed when Christ will appear in glory (we say, Advent, harvest, the Rapture, the Second Coming).

Establishing and maintaining the necessary fellowship with GOD and one another is not simple, for the process of divine salvation is one of discovery, gradual growth, and undergoing permanent changes as the children of the Most High.  We make many mistakes, and so we always seem to be in a process of correction.  Yet, herein is a clear indication as to “what’s love got to do with it?”  For it is by love we enter into giving, forgiveness, hope, and oneness without sameness.  Consider the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Psalms 22:  3, King James Version (KJV):  3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

(2.)  Zephaniah 3:  17, KJV:  17 The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

(3.)  John 4:  22-24, KJV:  22 Ye worship ye know not what:  we know what we worship:  for salvation is of the Jews.  23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth:  for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  24 God is a Spirit:  and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Psalms 100:  1-5, KJV:  1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.  2 Serve the LORD with gladness:  come before his presence with singing.  3 Know ye that the LORD he is God:  it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.  4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise:  be thankful unto him, and bless his name.  5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Infant Baptism - Russia крещение-ребенка

Today, reply is on infant baptism, the just, and the inclusion of small children within the body of Christ.  Divine law is not invested within a newborn child as intellect and secular knowledge so much as through self-will.  (Saying this another way:  Romans 5:  13, King James Version, KJV:  (For until the law sin was in the world:  but sin is not imputed when there is no law.)  Where the objective of baptism is understood as the establishment of a personal relationship between the Creator and the created, baptism involves the emanation and putting forth of spirit substance that includes sovereign will from the makeup of divinity.  Also deposited are sacred consciousness, existence, faith, holiness, lovingkindness, person, and the will to live.  By election, grace and divine prerogative, then, children have place as sons and daughters of GOD on the basis of their spirit content imparted from Deity without also having performed various “religious” deeds, prayers, service, and good works.  The possibilities and purity of children are imputed as well as imparted.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information supplied) posted the following:

Is luke 18:16-17 teaching we have to receive the kingdom of God as a child like infant baptism?

16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.  Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.  (Romans 4:  7-8, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Dead While We Live? (02/02/2017); Spirit Content From GOD? (09/26/2016); Of Such Is The Kingdom (09/01/2015); To Foster Godly Sorrow (03/11/2016); Asking For Answers From GOD? “Anonymous”, here are some points that many Christian believers have found useful for avoiding error and spiritual confusion when considering baptism for babies, small children, and those having special needs.  Some insist that baptism is a public act from personal choice and self-will (we say, voluntary).  Therefore, to be baptized, a person should be at an “age of responsibility” as with secular activities like drinking alcohol, driving, and voting for elected officials.  Among Christian congregations the age of responsibility varies from 8 to 25 years old.  Those who argue to exalt finite human nature and “free will” often despise baptism as an act of formalism (commitment to the letter of divine law, yet not its spirit), and a foolish act of surrender (acknowledging the sovereignty of GOD).  Others, accept models that appear as practices and principles recorded in the Scriptures.

Baptism can be understood as an aspect of identity and spiritual inheritance received through ones parents such as circumcision, citizenship within the divine kingdom, practice of sacraments within the home, and the sharing of sacred knowledge.  More correctly, baptism is an operation of the Holy Spirit like the founding of heaven and earth.  In the same way, a newborn child is not required to choose his birth parents, his birth order, or such physical characteristics as gender, there nonetheless are multiple life conditions inherited from Adam and their ancestors that will continue throughout the child’s own lifetime, and that should be correctly addressed with the child’s very beginnings.  Included are prenatal care, vulnerability to sickness and disease, mortality, and divine wrath against sin.  There is no demand that a fetus or infant choose their standing with GOD; however, their caretakers are accountable for the child’s survival and well-being, and should acknowledge the child’s initial spiritual condition as one of the just (the Lord’s justified ones).  The just are accounted as blameless and having committed neither good deeds nor bad.  Should the child die before being weaned, learning to walk and talk, or enroll in school for secular instruction, their acceptance with divinity has been established by GOD as a “free gift“” (we say, blessing).  Believing is an act of faith or an act of will, and would qualify the child as coming to GOD through works, not grace.

The process of salvation is divine, is not a “one-time” event, and does not rely on the content of human awareness and self-will (willpower).  Salvation goes forward as revelation (i.e., discovery, edification, gradual growth, and continual learning) that makes visible the active presence of GOD, his eternal purposes, and the diverse expressions of his unchanging nature and will.  Congregations and communities of faith that promote infant baptism often also will practice confession of commitment to Christ, confirmation, and public enrollment as a mature believer once a member “comes of age.”  Consider the following:

(1.)  Romans 6:  3-6, King James Version (KJV):  3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?  4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:  that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.  5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:  6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

(2.)  John 1:  10-14, KJV:  10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.  11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.  12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:  13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

(3.)  Romans 9:  8-16, KJV:  8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God:  but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.  9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.  10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;  11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)  12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.  13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.  14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.  15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.  16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
