Today, reply is on language in the Bible used to describe the operations, personhood, and substance of the Holy Spirit.  Spirit substance must be used to identify, recognize, and respond to other spirit substance.  Many events and symbols are used to clarify and explain what is meant by “the Holy Spirit.”  Figures are used to depict “spirit” such as breath, clouds, a dove, fire, oil, rain, and water.   However, divinity actually becomes known to created beings and living creatures through revelation, and the divine imparting/indwelling of living content from the makeup of GOD.  Divinity must become known and visible by displaying acts that express his own sacred heart and mind as well as the various inseparable aspects of his full makeup.  Included are immortality, personhood, eternal purpose, and sovereign will.  The living are to discover, experience, and realize relationship with divinity by apprehending the active presence, provisions, and works of GOD.  One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” Religion and Spirituality forum who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile data shared) posted the following:

Why, in Num. 11:17, does God need to take the spirit that is already on someone and place it on someone else if this holy spirit a person?

It should be able to do for itself. Is the Holy spirit like some kind of child?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:  because many false prophets are gone out into the world.   Hereby know ye the Spirit of God.  Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God:  and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.  (1st John 4:  1-3, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Why Spirit Displays Personhood (06/06/2018); John Anointed To Prophesy (05/21/2018); The Household Of Cornelius (05/17/2018); The Meaning of “Faith” (03/28/2018); What Is A Spirit? “Anonymous”, among mature Christians, rather than say, “God needs to do this or that,” it is more correct to consider, “What are the needs, possibilities, and preparation of mankind that require some specific action and intervention from God in this way or that?”  In frustration and ignorance, many accuse, blaspheme, and deny respect to GOD.  Even, so, the process of the Scriptures is one that presents multiple streams of truth that come together and flow throughout the many collected writings that make up the Bible.  The holy writings actually provide a divine perspective (point of view) where GOD operates through thousands of events, within thousands of lives, over the course of thousands of years.  For this reason, the Bible also is respected as an emblem of the divine presence, and “the evidence of things unseen.”

Every reader of the Scriptures will discover that a single concept or word will be used as having many meanings (i.e., both denotations and connotations) as well as associations, references, and usages—even within a single sentence, verse, paragraph, or passage.  (For example, “law” may denote the Ten Commandments, the Covenant of Moses, or the standards created as determinations and outcomes of tribunal (we say, decisions and verdicts in judgment).  Abbreviations and shortened forms often appear that replace a phrase or title.  (Thus, “the manifestation of Holy Spirit,” the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth becomes simply “the Spirit.”

As those who are “born again,” developing believers also must “grow up again,” and become skilled in avoiding and overcoming the spiritual confusion that results from relying on the finite tools of the world (e.g.,  mechanical and natural law, secular knowledge, intelligence, logic, philosophy, carnal reason, science, technology) that do not permit discovery, gradual growth, practice, and learning of sacred knowledge.

The Holy Spirit who is a person within divine fullness (we also say, Deity; the Godhead; the Trinity) provides sacred substance to and through the living by such divine operations as baptism, rebirth, repentance, and sanctification.  Inseparable spirit matter is shared as divine DNA, Christ-likeness so to speak, that makes a sinner a new creation.  Included are faith, forbearance, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  In addition to his workings being called “gifts” enabling, endowments, and supplies (from/of the Spirit), there are “fruit”, permanent changes in ones character and makeup spoken of as life consequences, outcomes, and products (from/of the Spirit).  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Luke 11:  13, King James Version (KJV):  13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children:  how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

(2.)  1st Corinthians 12:  1-7, KJV:  1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.  2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.  3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed:  and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.  4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.  5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.  6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.  7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

(3.)  1st Corinthians 2:  9-14, KJV:  9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.  10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit:  for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.  11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.  12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.  13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:  for they are foolishness unto him:  neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Table of the Temple Moneychanger

The photo depicts the table of the currency exchanger projecting discipline, order, and the “letter of the law” while denying the presence, righteousness, and spirit of the Lawgiver.

Today, reply is on the sacred event wherein Jesus cleansed the temple at Jerusalem by revealing the wrath of GOD against sin.  Jesus had been to the temple many times before as a firstborn son during obligatory feasts and festival days.  This time, his entry into Jerusalem was as head of a new ministry (one that had healed thousands and released others from demons); and he was met by those from many different areas of the nation whose lives he already had touched.  In addition to the ancient message that GOD must be worshipped through obedience to sacred law, Jesus brought the message, GOD must be worshiped in spirit and in truth.  One of the many fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” Religion and Spirituality forum who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile data shared) posted the following:

If Jesus loves sinners then why did he attack money changers?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?  And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.  And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,  And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.  And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.  And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased,  And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?  (Matthew 21:  10-16, King James Version, KJV)

(06/23/2013); Believers and the Cross (06/24/2013)

“Anonymous”, here are some points you may find useful.  Most Christian believers are able to understand that GOD’s love for the sinner is like that of a father’s love for his daughters or sons in spite of their poor grades at school, or their poor performance of chores within the home.  There may be anger, disappointment, and a punishment, yet, the affection and bond of parent and child continues as permanent, stable, and unshaken:

1.  By allowing moneychangers and those selling animals as offerings and sacrifices to be stationed on holy ground, and within the precincts of the temple, non-residents, travelers and folk only passing-through mistakenly were seen as being assisted and encouraged to perform genuine devotion and worship.

2.  The moneychangers and livestock sellers also were seen as officials and authoritative influences within the sacred hierarchy that included only the consecrated Priests, Levites, and saints  (e.g., prophets, sanctified widows, and those under vows such as Anna and Simon).

3.  The lawyers, scribes, factions. and beggars who also were part of the continuing temple community were like the overlay of party officials, politicians, lobbyists, and petitioners in some national capitals who seek to control and direct government, legislation, and public policy, yet have no authority as government employees.

4.  The mandatory feasts and festivals that required all firstborn males and heirs to appear at Jerusalem, also continued the experience of Israel as a people in relationship with divinity as sons of Abraham, as nomads, as pilgrims, and as those seeking the city of GOD.

5.  While Jesus was respected as only having the authority and title of “rabbi”, he performed a cleansing of the temple proclaiming his anointing and authority to be that of a prophet, a judge, a king, a son of Abraham, the heir of David, and the promised Messiah.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, 6.  Jesus did not display anger, temporal feelings of hatred, or behavior that was a momentary, interpersonal response to disrespect, an insult, or some act of rudeness that could be easily dismissed, forgiven, and forgotten.  Jesus displayed and revealed jealousy, zeal, and the character, makeup and substance of GOD directed against blasphemy, defilement, idolatry, impenitence, and irreverence—we say, the wrath against sin that is a perpetual aspect within the full GODhead.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Depiction of Jesus Acknowleding His Divine Anointing

The painting depicts the first acknowledgement of Jesus of his divine anointing as the promised Messiah.

Today, reply is on why Jesus is called “Christ” [Greek, Khristos; Latin, Christus].  The word origin is traced to 12th century usage of Christ as “the anointed one” associated with khriein [anoint].  (See Encarta ® World English Dictionary © & (P) 1998-2005 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.)  Multiple proclamations, promises, and prophecies throughout the holy writings speak to mankind receiving divine deliverance, governance, judgment, restoration, and salvation through a single, permanent, consecrated ruler.  On the basis of faith and other imparted spirit content he displayed while ministering on the earth, Jesus of Nazareth is acknowledged as the fulfillment of all those eternal purposes for mankind and Creation that had been gradually revealed over the course of thousands of years.  One of the many fighters in the “Yahoo! Why was Jesus called Christ?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.  Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks:  the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.  And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself:  and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.  And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:  and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.  (Daniel 9:  24-27, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, Christians are those committed to apprehending a mature relationship with divinity through Jesus Christ who has been anointed by Almighty GOD to serve as a cornerstone to a divine temple, an immortal high priest, judge, king, prophet, savior, shepherd, and steward.  The operations of divine fullness (we say, the GODhead; the Trinity; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit) to overspread the earth with sacred government using mankind has required multiple consecrated devices.  Included have been family and patriarchs; covenants and divine law; kingdoms and monarchs; personhood and incarnation; priesthood; promises; sacrifice and suffering.

For the benefit and perfection of created beings and living creatures, divinity has appeared and imparts (we say, displays; reveals) sacred knowledge and spirit content (i.e., the inseparable aspects of divine character and makeup) that establish the image of GOD who is spirit.  Included are authority, balance, dominion, faith, forbearance, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, restraint, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Fragrant oil that lingers in a room after its bearer has gone is used to depict the active, invisible presence of divine spirit.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Psalms 45:  6-8, King James Version (KJV):  6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever:  the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.  7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness:  therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.  8 All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.

(2.)  Isaiah 11:  1-5, KJV:  1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:  2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;  3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD:  and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:  4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth:  and he shall smite the earth:  with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.  5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

(3.)  Luke 4:  14-21, KJV:  14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee:  and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.  15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.  16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.  17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,  18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,  19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.  20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.  21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

(4.)  John 18:  33-38, KJV:  33 Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?  34 Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?  35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me:  what hast thou done?  36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world:  if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews:  but now is my kingdom not from hence.  37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.  38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  2nd Corinthians 1:  21-22, KJV:  21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;  22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

David-and-Goliath Mocking

Today, annihilation (the second death), David and Goliath, stoning, and the plagues of Egypt are in view.  Only through judgment that displays divine grace, mercy, and righteousness can there be the completeness of divine revelation.  Because so many of us first heard an account of David and Goliath as a bedtime story, or something to amuse and entertain us, many continue to dismiss and undervalue important the aspects of divine revelation that appear.  In addition to judgment against the enemies of GOD’s peculiar people, that there is judgment against GOD’s people themselves is not to be overlooked.  Goliath was one of the last remaining descendants from the seven tribes who had lived in Canaan as the covenant people of GOD prior to Israel leaving Egypt.  For their transgression of sacred covenant, his entire culture and race were to have been removed from the Promised Land.  Thus, he may be thought of as part of “Israel’s unfinished business,” and his destruction a fulfillment of divine mandate.  A fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum using the ID “Racket” (Level 7 with 25,403 points, a member since November 14, 2015) posted the following:

David betrayed Goliath !!! Why didn’t he use a sword instead of throwing a stone? Anyone can win wrestling if he use catapult?

Is this not a cheating of a God-chosen?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength:  and ye would not.  But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee:  and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.  One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee:  till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill.  And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you:  for the LORD is a God of judgment:  blessed are all they that wait for him.  For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem:  thou shalt weep no more:  he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.  And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:  And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.  (Isaiah 30:  15-21, King James Version (KJV):

“Racket”, many disbelieve that GOD exists on the basis of their failure to recognize the real “presence” of divine judgment.  Mature Christians may describe the confrontation between David and Goliath as one expressing divine judgment, and wrath against sin that is an inseparable aspect of the divine fullness along with faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, righteousness, and wisdom.  What on surface is merely a contest or a “fair fight” between two proud, or reckless individuals on a battlefield also must be acknowledged as a conflict between two nations, two different covenant relationships with GOD, and a sacred event that addresses divine promise, prophecy, and eternal purpose.  In the same way, sinners make too little of the judgment displayed against Egypt as 10 plagues, they also make too little of the judgment that came against the Philistines.

No longer should Goliath’s offense against Israel be understood as only having challenged, insulted and mocked the army of Israel.  Goliath blasphemed; denied glory to GOD, the Creator and King over Israel; and manifested himself as a living idol among the Philistines.  That only David was sensitive to this, or reacted as personally attacked can be discerned as an indication that the divine anointing by Samuel the Prophet, and the imparted Spirit of GOD already were operating within, and speaking out through David.

The rules of engagement and warfare center on conflicts for conquest, gaining territory, and expanding wealth.  Use of stoning as a sanction against sin comes into view as a provision that further binds a community through shared accountability, obedience to sacred law, and fundamental principles pertaining to divine sovereignty.  Mortality in mankind introduced through Adam must be completed and fulfilled.  Even so, divine provisions may include rebirth, resurrection, and new life.  In communal judgment, every member of the collective casts only a single stone.  The person who casts the stone that delivers the fatal blow may remain secret, and known only to GOD.  There can be no “fair fight” between a full grown, seasoned warrior and a teen-aged shepherd boy; however, as part of becoming mature on the earth, there must be a “fight of faith” for every believer.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  1st Samuel 17:  4-11, King James Version (KJV):  4 And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.  5 And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass.  6 And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders.  7 And the staff of his spear was like a weaver’s beam; and his spear’s head weighed six hundred shekels of iron:  and one bearing a shield went before him.  8 And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.  9 If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants:  but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us.  10 And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.  11 When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.

(2.)  1st Samuel 17:  32-37, KJV:  32 And David said to Saul, Let no man’s heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.  33 And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him:  for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.  34 And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:  35 And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth:  and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.  36 Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear:  and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.  37 David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended regarding the Spirit imparted from GOD through Jesus Christ.  (For example, (3.)  1st Samuel 17:  40-50, KJV:  40 And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd’s bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand:  and he drew near to the Philistine.  41 And the Philistine came on and drew near unto David; and the man that bare the shield went before him.  42 And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him:  for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance.  43 And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.  44 And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.  45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield:  but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.  46 This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.  47 And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear:  for the battle is the LORD’s, and he will give you into our hands.  48 And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh to meet David, that David hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.  49 And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.  50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

“Michael”, believers today often encounter confusion by the way Jesus is spoken of over the thousands of years of prophecy and the way he presented and spoke of himself.  The title, “GOD Almighty” (El Shaddai) that appears in the Old Testament, was apparently used by divinity during the thousands of years Adam and the Patriarchs descended from him were alive on the earth.  Where GOD enters into a new aspect of ongoing relationship with mankind through Abram, who is called the Friend of GOD, the Patriarch’s personal name is changed to Abraham, and the name of GOD to be used by men is changed to Jehovah.  Other holy names and titles appear in the Scriptures that reflect the changes and operations of human history that may be “missed” and overlooked (e.g., the arm of the Lord; the zeal of the Lord); and some of the most powerful holy names attributed to Jesus Christ include “the mighty GOD, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.”

The Prophet Moses proclaimed that the tribes of Jacob and the mixed multitude of Gentiles that left Egypt together would become a nation to whom GOD would send a divine  Prophet and spokesperson (King, Messiah).  The title, “Christ”, has been used by believers in prophecy to say, “the anointed one,” the One Sent, and the one divinely anointed as Judge, King, High Priest, Prophet, and Messiah.  Many acknowledge Jesus Christ to be an appearance of divine fullness using flesh and human form (we say, Incarnation).  Jesus does label and title himself “the son of Man” (i.e., the son of Adam who is recorded as the first offspring and son of GOD).  Also, many respected Jesus using the title “Son of David,” and even were willing to violently overthrow the government of King Herod and Rome in order to crown Jesus as David’s heir and rightful King over Israel.  David was the son of Jesse named by many of the prophets, who himself reigned as king, and, like his son Solomon, also served as a divinely anointed judge, priest, and prophet.

One of the many curios aspects of Christian belief is that Jesus Christ was humble, meek, and avoided self-promotion, yet, went about accomplishing many of the most important deeds and works possible whereby a person could be recognized as sent from GOD, and genuinely divine in their own makeup and substance.  The process of the Gospel was to be one of discovery, insight, public proclamation, and sharing by word-of-mouth.  In addition to providing doctrine, prophecy and sacred lessons from GOD the Father, Jesus showed himself to be the Son of the Highest by healing the sick, feeding thousands, casting out devils, and restoring life to the dead.  Not only did Jesus himself avoid boasting, bragging, and “vainglory”, he often required that others be discrete and not speak of his works on their behalf (until after his ministry would be concluded).  When Jesus was directly confronted by the High Priest Caiaphas whether Jesus was the Christ, the Savior answered by prophesying.  Consider again, then, the prophesies of Isaiah that spoke of Jesus using the name Immanuel (God With Us) and other points using language from the Bible:

(1.)  Isaiah 11:  1-5, King James Version (KJV):  1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:  2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;  3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD:  and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:  4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth:  and he shall smite the earth:  with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.  5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

(2.)  Isaiah 11:  9-10, KJV:  9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain:  for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.  10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek:  and his rest shall be glorious.

(3.)  Isaiah 9:  6-7, KJV:  6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:  and the government shall be upon his shoulder:  and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Matthew 26:  62-66, KJV:  62 And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?  63 But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.  64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said:  nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.  65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.  66 What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Meekness of Moses

Today, thoughts are shared on meekness as a divine spirit content imparted by GOD to believers who receive Jesus Christ so they may nourish the growth of godliness within others.  Unlike counterfeit and false professions of Christian belief, genuine godly behavior is generated and put forth only by divine spirit.  While meekness relates to gentleness, goodness, humility, and peace, many appear to be offended by the idea of meekness as a spirit substance from the makeup of GOD; and increasingly scriptures that speak of the fruit of the Spirit are presented omitting meekness as being associated with cowardice, intimidation, and weakness.  More correctly, meekness is a planting and product through the workings of GOD along with fervor, holy boldness, and zeal.  One of the many fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information appears) posted the following:

Christians, How does one qualify as meek?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.  For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh:  and these are contrary the one to the other:  so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.  But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.  Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,  Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,  Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like:  of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.  And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.  Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.  (Galatians 5:  16-26, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Jesus Demonstrated Perfected Humanity (10/29/2017); Meekness, Mortality and Salvation? (07/13/2017); Discernment, Focus and Meekness? (07/07/2017); The Gift of Humility (02/19/2017); As Newborn Babes…. (10/13/2016); Humility and The Cross? (03/15/2016); The Meek Will Inherit (10/16/2012)

“Anonymous”, here are some thoughts I may share that are expressions of Jesus Christ within me:

In the same way sinners are to be born again by receiving spirit content from the makeup of divinity through water baptism where there is the death, burial, and resurrection of ones inborn spirit, believers are to “grow up” again and become mature as children of GOD and joint-heirs of the Father along with the Son of the Highest.  Rebirth to exist as a developing believer requires that one receive inseparable aspects of imparted spirit substance from Deity that includes balance, completeness, faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, personhood, meekness, restraint, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

Developing believers are to acquire sacred knowledge by fellowship with mature believers who may be clergy, leaders, their own parents and siblings as well as others who are  workers within the community of faith; by continuing communication with GOD through prayer; by observing sacred practices (we say, sacraments); by repentance and turning away from disobedience of divine law, from sin, and from wickedness; by study of the holy writings; by unselfish service; and by enduring hardship, persecution, and suffering.  With this in view, salvation is not a “one-time” event; salvation is a process of discovery, gradual growth, learning, and undergoing permanent change.

Every Christian believer does not receive an anointing that allows them to serve in the offices of apostle, healer, pulpit preacher, or prophet.  Yet, all are “recruited” to provide ministry wherein they share through their own lifestyle and daily routines, gifts that provide spirit content from GOD.  As a believer becomes “ripe for harvest” they become able to display and share sacred fruit (manifestations; outcomes; products) from the Holy Spirit (we also say, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth).

Believers who speak of Meekness as a fruit of the Spirit acknowledge that the many aspects of divinity can not truly be analyzed and treated as separate, secular objects.  Even so, meekness is often described as the voluntary expression of humility, praise, and submission whereby one continues in relationship with the Creator as teachable, and as having readiness, responsiveness, and willingness to be led by the Holy Spirit.  Jesus displayed the spirit of meekness by refusing to be appointed as king at Jerusalem, avoiding self-promotion, and ascribing his works to the Father.

Where the Bible speaks of Moses as having been chosen by GOD because of his meekness, we understand that meekness is essential to being used as an instrument in sacred operations to benefit mankind.  While the Spirit imparted to Moses was so abundant that GOD would supply 70 elders of Israel from the endowment the Prophet had received, and Moses continued with a greater measure than all of them put together, the spirit granted Moses was not the same fullness as was outpoured during Pentecost and for the beginnings of the new creation, the church.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and made a part of those who are responding to developing belief.  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Anointing Oil of Spirit

Today, reply is on divine anointing, fire, judgment, and the Holy Spirit.  GOD has used both water and fire to demonstrate and make visible the destructive work of sin as well as an unseen aspect of his makeup that we speak of as divine wrath against sin.  The same Holy Spirit who operated in the creation of heaven and earth establishes enlightenment, rebirth, and the possibilities for sacred knowledge within mankind that come by discovery, gradual growth, learning and observing sacred practices (sacraments).  More than this, the Holy Spirit continues among created beings and living creatures as a divine anointing oil that makes offerings and sacrifices to GOD acceptable and fragrant.  The prophets who proclaim divine grace, the high priests who minister through inheritance, and the kings who rule in peace first are set apart and sanctified by becoming in-filled with spirit content from the makeup of GOD.  A writer in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum using the ID “?” (Level 1 with 90 points, a new member as of November 28, 2017) posted the following:

Why is a tounge of fire a symbol of the holy spirit?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!  It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard:  that went down to the skirts of his garments;  As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion:  for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.  (Psalm 133:  1-3, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Water, The Fire (10/10/2017); Holy Fire From GOD? (04/27/2017); Flammable? (05/25/2015); Consecrated in Christ? (06/21/2014); The Fire From GOD? (06/22/2014); Anointed? (04/28/2014); No More “Mr. Nice Guy”? (04/29/2014)

“?”, throughout the Bible, fire appears as a symbol indicating multiple actions and works accomplished by the fullness of divinity (we say, the Godhead; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit).  Included are authority in judgment, glory, majesty as a sovereign ruler, personness, power, and purity.  Through water baptism, sinners undergo permanent change beginning in the death, burial, and resurrection of their inborn spirit.  As “born again” believers they must “grow up again,” and become ripe (mature) for harvest when Christ returns (we say, Advent, his appearing, the Rapture, the Second Coming).

Because they are “reborn” having divine DNA, so to speak, developing believers are accounted as the children of GOD, and joint heirs with Jesus Christ.  All believers are to display inseparable spirit content from divinity in their lifestyle and daily routine.  Included are gratitude, faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Believers only receive a “gift”, or partial measure of sacred substance from GOD, and not the whole person of the Holy Spirit (also called the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth).  GOD is a single Being who exists as three persons who display oneness without sameness; and it is this quality that is to exist within the body of Christ (the church).

Most mature Christian believers receive instruction that the holy spirit is imparted to those chosen to serve in divine priesthood or as guides (shepherds, kings, rulers) over the people of GOD on the earth.  The dove, as a depiction of the Spirit is held to symbolize peace.  Thus, along with the cleansing of baptism by fire, the anointing that sanctifies (sets apart for exclusive service to GOD) and consecrates those who are ordained can be recognized by the tongues of fire.  Also, the divided (cloven) tongues signal that there are multiple gifts from the Holy Spirit.  Unlike the steady burning flame of a candle, the fire that appeared on the day of Pentecost is represented as flickering and lively; and the cloven tongue, therefore, is seen as the active love of GOD.

Consider the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Isaiah 4:  2-6, King James Version (KJV):  2 In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.  3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:  4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.  5 And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night:  for upon all the glory shall be a defence.  6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

(2.)  2nd Corinthians 1:  20-22, KJV:  20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.  21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;  22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

(3.)  Acts 2:  1-4, KJV:  1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.  2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.  3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.  4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.
