Camp of Wandering Israel

Today, reply is on GOD revealed as sovereign by judgment, and the wandering of Israel following their separation from Egypt. The fighter in the “Yahoo! How was it possible for Moses to get lost in the desert for so long, did he have learning difficulties or something?

Surely nobody could be lost for 40 years lol

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward which have murmured against me. Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised. But as for you, your carcases, they shall fall in this wilderness. And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness. After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise. I the LORD have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die. And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land, Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the LORD. But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of the men that went to search the land, lived still. (Numbers 14: 28-38, King James Version, KJV)

STEVAN”, the twelve tribes of Jacob and the mixed multitude that left Egypt following Moses did not become “lost” in the wilderness for 40 years as an accident, as the result of opposition and warfare by desert tribes and nations, or as errors by Moses and other human leaders who served as guides. The period of 40 years (a generation) was used by GOD for divine works that included chastisement, correction, purification, revelation, and sanctification as well as the fulfillment of proclamations, promises, and prophecy. Thus, for 40 years a pillar of cloud appeared by day and a pillar of fire by night as the visible presence of GOD. For 40 years, manna was provided as food Sunday to Friday; and no manna fell on the seventh day, the Sabbath.

Practice of divine law was to become maintained where once idolatry, fitting in, and adopting the fashions and lifestyles of Egypt were widespread. New meaning, standards and values were provided that included making regular offerings and sacrifices to GOD; maintaining decency and order through sacred judgment; and the seeking of counsel from GOD who would indwell the tabernacle. The armies of Israel were created using men most of whom had been laborers, shepherds, and handlers of livestock. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.) Deuteronomy 1: 13-17, King James Version (KJV): 13 Take you wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and I will make them rulers over you. 14 And ye answered me, and said, The thing which thou hast spoken is good for us to do. 15 So I took the chief of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, and captains over fifties, and captains over tens, and officers among your tribes. 16 And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him. 17 Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God’s: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.

(2.) Deuteronomy 1: 22-27, KJV: 22 And ye came near unto me every one of you, and said, We will send men before us, and they shall search us out the land, and bring us word again by what way we must go up, and into what cities we shall come. 23 And the saying pleased me well: and I took twelve men of you, one of a tribe: 24 And they turned and went up into the mountain, and came unto the valley of Eshcol, and searched it out. 25 And they took of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it down unto us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a good land which the LORD our God doth give us. 26 Notwithstanding ye would not go up, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God: 27 And ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.

(3.) Deuteronomy 1: 29-36, KJV: 29 Then I said unto you, Dread not, neither be afraid of them. 30 The Lord your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes; 31 And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the Lord thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place. 32 Yet in this thing ye did not believe the LORD your God, 33 Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day. 34 And the LORD heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and sware, saying, 35 Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers. 36 Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the LORD.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) Deuteronomy 1: 38-40, KJV: 38 But Joshua the son of Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it. 39 Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it. 40 But as for you, turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Why did the God of the Bible wage war against the Canaanites?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, Come hither, and hear the words of the LORD your God.  And Joshua said, Hereby ye shall know that the living God is among you, and that he will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Hivites, and the Perizzites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Jebusites.  Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth passeth over before you into Jordan.  (Joshua 3:  9-11, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The First “Chosen” Chosen People (05/03/2018); Being A Holy Nation (02/20/2018); On Recognizing Divine Judgment (01/24/2018); Of War and Judgment (10/08/2013); Heart, Brain or Spirit? (10/09/2013); Moses Killed? (09/23/2013); Salted with Fire? (09/24/2013); What is Worship? (10/18/2010)

“Anonymous”, here are some points that many mature Christian believers are careful to consider:
(1.)  The Creator who uses divine law and judgment to establish mankind and the earth also has used condemnation and widespread destruction to express wrath against sin (e.g., Sodom and the cities of the plains).   Along with displays of awesome authority and power against defiance and rebellion, through such men as Noah, GOD has revealed divinity is forbearing, forgiving, longsuffering, patient, and willing to bestow divine grace.
(2.)  GOD first revealed himself to Moses in a way that indicated his dominion over the natural earth, and used the form of a burning bush whose flaming branches gave off no smoke and left no trace of ashes.  Moses was instructed to acknowledge that he was on ground made holy by the divine presence.  When Moses later asked to physically see the true image of divine fullness (we say, the GODhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit), GOD passed before Moses once the prophet was placed within a cleft of the rock.  Displaying his deeds and the train that followed himself, GOD proclaimed that he is to be known, spoken of, and understood as a GOD of covenant, law, and judgment, who will punish the guilty, yet, will display mercy.
(3.)  The ten plagues brought against Egypt were not mere demonstrations to intimidate the Egyptians, the surrounding nations, or the 12 tribes of Jacob.  While the plagues were unleashed as an aspect of the deliverance of the twelve tribes, they were sacred events performed as judgments against Pharaoh, the Egyptian people, and the gods of Egypt.
(4.) The invasion by Jacob and plagues that accompanied them were fulfilling GOD’s word of promise and prophecy to Abram, that he would judge against the seven tribes of Canaan who were in covenant with GOD, yet, continued to practice idolatry and sin.  GOD would use his son (the tribes of Jacob) and the mixed multitude that left Egypt to remove the seven covenant-breaking tribes.
There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  Deuteronomy 7:  1-8, King James Version (KJV):  1 When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;  2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:  3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.  4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods:  so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.  5 But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.  6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God:  the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.  7 The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:  8 But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

He Is A Jew

Today, another reply is made on circumcision and the conditions for covenant relationship with GOD.  The blood of circumcision speaks to the death of Jesus Christ on the cross as well as to the gift of rebirth following death, burial, and resurrection of ones inborn spirit.  While circumcision is spoken of as an outward sign of commitment in covenant, circumcision remains hidden and secret.  Few go about making a public display of their circumcision; and Jewish men are thought to be circumcised on the basis of their sacred practice.  Correctly understood, the power and purpose of ones circumcision must operate primarily within their spirit imparted from GOD, not merely within their own feelings and thoughts.  One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:

This is my covenant that I’m making between me and you and your descendants after you every man child shall be circumcised. Why do people?

Object to God’s will and have dirty uncircumcised sons?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,  And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;  That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.  If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:  And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.  And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.  And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.  And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.  And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good:  for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:  If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.  (Deuteronomy 30:  1-10, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  There Must Be Rebirth (01/21/2018); Circumcision of Infant Boys (12/11/2017); The Flesh, Then Beyond (05/23/2017); Ye Are Abraham’s Seed (07/10/2015); Circumcision and Promise? (07/16/2013); The Bible and Stupid People (07/17/2013); Accomplished in Christ (01/16/2013); The Need to Purify Heaven (01/17/2013)

“Anonymous”, the things of GOD that serve and supply created beings and living creatures in accordance with their own peculiar makeup and substance (we say, the flesh) are very different from the things of GOD that reveal the character, content, and personhood of divinity (we say, the Spirit).  For example, in Scripture, the periods following Abraham’s day when circumcision seems to be discontinued or forgotten (e.g., the 40 years before Israel crossed Jordan into the Promised Land) often are explained by the army having to be available to respond to immediate threats, and being prevented from two to three weeks for recovery from circumcision.  The active presence who is the GODhead (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) becomes knowable, known, accessible and approachable through exchanges and interactions among their inseparable, sacred substance.  Included are faith, forbearance, forgiveness, gratitude, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  In the course of Creation, GOD imparted to mankind sacred content from his own person (we say, breath, life essence, spirit, Word).

As an aspect of mankind asserting dominion in the earth, many have contended against GOD, displayed defiance, and rebelled against divine law.  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and the fullness of divine order.  Sin favors chaos, flux and non-existence; and promotes return to the conditions in effect before the founding of heaven and earth.  While sin is not a living entity or object created by divinity, the operations of sin may dominate awareness and self-will within the living.

To the extent circumcision represents covenant agreement it also represents sacred law.  More than this, it pertains to judgment, inheritance, and participation in a personal relationship with divinity.  Those operating under sin routinely condemn divinity as restricting freedom (i.e., choice; conscience; free-will) and violating “natural” law.  The race of Adam maintains a continuing complaint that Deity is capable of overthrowing the independence and integrity of being within the living; and the sovereign will of GOD is capable of dismissing, manipulating, and suppressing ones self-will.  The demonstrations of blessings and curses that establish decision-making and self-direction are not understood as they are, in fact, expressions of divine commitment  and sacred love.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Romans 4:  8-10, King James Version (KJV):  8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.  9 Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.  10 How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.

(2.)  Romans 3:  29-31, KJV:  29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:  30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.  31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid:  yea, we establish the law.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  Galatians 5:  12-17, KJV:   12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you.  13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.  14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.  16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.  17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh:  and these are contrary the one to the other:  so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, focus is on the account of David and Goliath that appears within the Bible as part of the full revelation of GOD.  While the precipitating events that resulted in the death of Goliath were little more than name-calling and taunting Israel to challenge them in battle, Goliath represented and was the “stand-in” for all the Philistines, and was condemned as guilty before GOD their Maker and Judge as being idolatrous, lawless, rebellious, and unrepentant.  As a foreshadowing to the coming of Jesus Christ, the express will of GOD (we say, the law) was made incarnate, and appeared having material form as a shepherd boy, who served as an officer of the Divine Court (the Executioner).  That a teenager (David) would be used on a battle-field against a veteran soldier who had physical stature as a giant was to make clearly visible to Israel, the Philistines, and all mankind that GOD will impose judgment upon created beings and living creatures, and will operate as the highest authority, power, and sovereign-will present in human affairs.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” who uses the ID “Kumquat May” (Level 6 with 10,357 points, a member since April 17, 2012) posted the following:

The bible says thou shall not kill and turn the other cheek but when david brains Goliath dead with a rock suddenly he’s a great guy?

Goliath’s five year old daughter: “Mummy, mummy, when’s daddy coming home. I made a thing in school out of pasta that says world’s best dad!”

Mrs Goliath: “Sit down, my poor daughter, I have terrible news. Daddy won’t be coming home. He was murdered at work today. Some short man called David threw a rock at his temple and he died having a seizure in the dirt. You’ll never see Daddy again, and now we no income it’s prostitution for me and slavery for you, if David’s army don’t rape and kill us before that happens”

Goliath’s five year old daughter: ” Noooooo! But won’t the Lord punish him, Mum, he’s against that sort of thing? It’s one of the commandments”

Mrs Goliath: “No dear, not this time. I’ve already heard he’s mind controlling one of his zombie writers to put it in his book about how great the man who murdered your father was”

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised:  it may be that the LORD will work for us:  for there is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few.  And his armourbearer said unto him, Do all that is in thine heart:  turn thee; behold, I am with thee according to thy heart.  Then said Jonathan, Behold, we will pass over unto these men, and we will discover ourselves unto them.  If they say thus unto us, Tarry until we come to you; then we will stand still in our place, and will not go up unto them.  But if they say thus, Come up unto us; then we will go up:  for the LORD hath delivered them into our hand:  and this shall be a sign unto us.  And both of them discovered themselves unto the garrison of the Philistines:  and the Philistines said, Behold, the Hebrews come forth out of the holes where they had hid themselves.  And the men of the garrison answered Jonathan and his armourbearer, and said, Come up to us, and we will shew you a thing. And Jonathan said unto his armourbearer, Come up after me:  for the LORD hath delivered them into the hand of Israel.  And Jonathan climbed up upon his hands and upon his feet, and his armourbearer after him:  and they fell before Jonathan; and his armourbearer slew after him.  (1st Samuel 14:  6-13, King James Version, KJV)

“Kumquat May”, in the account of David and Goliath, GOD is the Judge, and David is a legitimate officer of the divine court, the Executioner.  Among mature Christian believers the account of David and Goliath is received as part of the full revelation and “self-disclosure” whereby the active presence who is GOD is made knowable, known, and “visible” to created beings and living creatures.  The Bible displays the operations of GOD upon the earth from a divine perspective—that is, using thousands of events, within thousands of lives, over the course of thousands of years.  Taken from its context, spiritual confusion surrounds that and many other accounts.  Often “David and Goliath” has been presented as merely a story or adventure tale to amuse and entertain, as questionable secular history from the Middle East, and as a peculiar form of communication using diverse literary and poetic devices (e.g., allegory, epic, hyperbole, metaphor, symbolism).  Dominated by their appetite, emotion, sensation and mental functions (we say, the flesh) awareness and self-will directs a listener or reader to focus primarily on elements such as the heroism, weakness, vulnerability, and youth of David, or the arrogance, cruelty, prowess and size of Goliath.  In effect, mockers, scoffers, sinners and unbelievers remain blind, and fail to see the actions and operations of the account’s most important figure, GOD.  They would have to be “born again” in order to clearly discern, recognize, and properly respond to the account as imparting spirit content from the makeup of GOD (such as faith, holiness, hope, longsuffering, wisdom, wrath against sin).  Using their own endowment of life essence from GOD (we also say, breath, spirit, word), the listener/reader as a new creation will experience the account as demonstrating divine integrity, righteousness in covenant relationship, the fulfillment of promise and performance of duty, and the inarguable authority, prerogative and privilege of the Creator that may appear as deliverance, judgment, salvation and victory.  Consider the following from the Bible:

(1.)  1st Samuel 17:  33-37, King James Version (KJV):  33 And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him:  for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.  34 And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:  35 And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth:  and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.  36 Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear:  and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.  37 David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.

(2.)  1st Samuel 17:  45-48, KJV:  45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield:  but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.  46 This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.  47 And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear:  for the battle is the LORD’s, and he will give you into our hands.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  2nd Chronicles 20:  15-18, KJV:  15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.  16 To morrow go ye down against them:  behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.  17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle:  set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem:  fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them:  for the LORD will be with you.  18 And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground:  and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, practices to acknowledge the divine presence in the camp of those who left Egypt with Moses are considered.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers (Singapore)” using the ID “Adam” (Level 4 with 4,977 points, a member since April 25, 2011) posted the following:

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious:  and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.  Unto you therefore which believe he is precious:  but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,  And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient:  whereunto also they were appointed.  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;  Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God:  which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.  (1st Peter 2:  6-10, King James Version, KJV)

“Adam”, those who received the Ten Commandment law had to learn to display uninterrupted acknowledgement of divine presence.  The men, women, and children who left Egypt with Moses were Gentiles and a “mixed multitude” as well as those from the 12 tribes of Jacob.  A single, sacred standard for all would be put forth to cleanse and sanctify them for a continuing relationship as covenant partners with the Most High.  While in Egypt, their daily lives maintained customs, rituals, and traditions that exalted secular knowledge (e.g., government, politics, science) and also embraced astrology, idolatry, sorcery, superstition, and the occult.  The size of their camp is estimated to have been as many as 3½ million, for men of fighting age alone were more than ½ million.  The people lived in tents, and the livestock were kept in close quarter.  The “promised land” was already occupied by seven tribes who were in a covenant with GOD, and were to be replaced because they repeatedly had violated their contract.  When GOD spoke declaring the terms (commandments) of his new covenant, the people were awestruck, and petitioned that GOD would use prophets and spokespersons to reveal divinity, rather than speak from heaven again.  With this in view, the active presence of GOD among the people was made visible by the pillar of cloud by day, fire by night; by the tabernacle; and by multiple aspects of divine order that included captains over thousands, hundreds, fifties, twenties and tens (we say, hierarchy, rank); the falling of manna for only six days; and the keeping of Sabbath.  Consider again the following from the Scriptures:

(1.)  Deuteronomy 23:  12-14, King James Version (KJV):  12 Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad:  13 And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee:  14 For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy:  that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.

(2.)  Deuteronomy 14:  1-2, KJV:  1 Ye are the children of the LORD your God:  ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.  2 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  Deuteronomy 12:  1-7, KJV:  1 These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.  2 Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:  3 And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.  4 Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.  5 But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:  6 And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:  7 And there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, topics include the divine commandments to love ones enemy.  Believers are to conform to and manifest the image of Christ.  The armies of Israel were created by GOD to execute and demonstrate peace as the fruit and outcome of judgment, not to serve as conquerors, or those who pursue warfare for economic and political gain.  Traditions of combativeness against “the heathen,” exclusion, prejudice, and segregation became “survival mechanisms” within the culture of the Jews.  Along with exile (lawful eviction from their inheritance carried out by GOD) and captivity (forced labor and relocation imposed by men after defeat in war), wounds to the covenant people included centuries of continual harassment and resistance by those being ousted by GOD from the Promised Land and the remnant of their nations as well as scars from the judgments against Egypt, against the seven tribes of Canaan who broke their covenant with GOD, and against those who doubted prophecy and opposed Moses.  At the coming of Jesus as Messiah, the culture of the Jews was disbelieving, faithless, hostile, suspicious, and vindictive.  Cleansing and renewal through Jesus Christ addressed accomplishing repentance, salvation, and correct relationship with GOD through forbearance, forgiveness, and rebirth as vessels of the imparted, indwelling Spirit of GOD.  The fighter at “Yahoo! What is the meaning of Jesus’s radical command “Love your enemies”?

Update: The full quote, for reference:
“43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people… “

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:  Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.  Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein:  for the time is at hand.  John to the seven churches which are in Asia:  Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;  And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,  And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.  Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him:  and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.  (Revelation 1:  1-8, King James Version, KJV)

“Halbhh”, love is one of the elements that set apart (we say, exalts and sanctifies) the Creator who is owner and ruler above his Creation.  Herein is love:  As both the Son of Man (Adam) and an embodiment of full divinity, Jesus Christ established new access to GOD the Father through operations and gifts from the Holy Spirit.  The Savior fulfilled prophecy; became the required sacrifice for atonement and propitiation of sin; clarified and proclaimed eternal purposes and sacred law while providing further revelation of the character, makeup, and substance of GOD.  Because finite, mortal beings must operate using frameworks of time and space, life experiences for mankind are brief, discontinuous, and episodic.  Even so, the living are not valued as mere material objects.  Intimate and lasting communication, exchange, and interaction as ongoing relationship with the Creator has been structured making allowances for the multiple interruptions and shifts caused through the discrete attributes of the living.  Included are appetite; death (we say, sleep); gradual development to maturity; human error and inconsistency; incontinence; instability; and exhaustion of physical strength and intensity for ones senses.  GOD has used devices such as covenants; diversity rather than change; family, dynasty and inheritance; promises; and the death of Jesus on the cross to bridge the separation from divine immutability, incorruptibility, and invisibility.  Through the ministries of Jesus upon the earth and from heaven, mankind may receive inseparable aspects of the divine makeup as a fresh endowment of life essence (breath, spirit, word, utterance) required for created beings to exist as companions to the Maker.  In addition to divine love, deposits of faith, holiness, longsuffering, meekness, wisdom, and wrath against sin should appear.  Consider again how some of this is stated using language from the Bible:

(1.)  1st John 4:  9-11, King James Version (KJV):  9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.  10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

(2.)  1st John 4:  16-18, KJV:  16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.  17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment:  because as he is, so are we in this world.  18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear:  because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

(3.)  Ephesians 2:  8-10, KJV:  8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God:  9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.  10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, Scripture points are shared on discernment, judgment, divine love, and warfare.  Revelation, sacred knowledge, and our spirit endowment imparted from GOD enable Christian believers to correctly distinguish the active presence of divinity within human affairs.  There are multiple subtleties (i.e., barely visible differences; hidden shifts in meaning and value) that can give a false appearance of divine intent.  The armies of ancient Israel were created by GOD to carry out judgment against the seven tribes occupying Canaan.  Those in covenant through Moses were to utterly destroy and replace the former covenant partners of GOD.  Similarly, the armies of heaven are mustered to defend divinity, and to further separate the chosen from the second death.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile) posted the following:

Why did the Biblical god engage in wars in the Old Testament if war isn’t an act of love?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.  And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.  And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth:  and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.  (Revelation 19:  19-21, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, the active presence of divinity within human affairs can not be correctly recognized without discernment (i.e., using ones indwelling spirit from GOD as a standard to identify spirit substance in actions, events, motives, oneself, other persons, prophecy, etc.).  Only divine revelation, sacred knowledge, and oneness that comes by fellowship with GOD through communion and prayer are available to make visible the various operations carried out by the Spirit (e.g., atonement, forgiveness, Incarnation, rebirth, repentance, sanctification).  Genuine sacred events (we say, miracles), messages, and interventions by GOD are marked by their agreement and consistency with the patterns documented in the holy writings.  The original and eternal purposes of Deity should appear, for GOD is immutable, incorruptible, and unchanging.  Just as divine love goes beyond affection, fondness, and sexuality, for those in service to divinity, war goes beyond conquering (i.e., coveting) to expand and possess territory; expressing anger, ethnic arrogance, hate, malice and revenge; or persisting in defiance, insurrection, insanity (e.g., delusion, fantasy, megalomania, sadomasochism), and usurpation.  What men call “war” within the Scriptures should be understood as judgment, the application of divine law to resolve conflicts, and settle disputes; or wrath against sin, correction, and punishment for specific infractions against GOD.  Consider how some of this is stated using language from the Bible:

(1.)  1st John 4:  8-10, King James Version (KJV):  8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.  9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.  10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

(2.)  Song of Solomon 8:  5-7, KJV:  5 Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I raised thee up under the apple tree:  there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth that bare thee.  6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm:  for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave:  the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.  7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it:  if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

(3.)  1st John 3:  11-15, KJV:  11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.  12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.  13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.  14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.  15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer:  and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.  16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

(4.)   James 4:  1-4, KJV:  1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?  2 Ye lust, and have not:  ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain:  ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.  3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.  4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

There is far more to be said, carefully examined, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (5.)  Revelation 19:  11-16, KJV:  11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.  12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.  13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.  14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.  15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations:  and he shall rule them with a rod of iron:  and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.  16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
