Today, rebirth, repentance, and life from the cross are topics.  Necessary gifts for revealing divinity (i.e., making the immortal, unseen Creator knowable, known and visible to created beings and living creatures) were provided through the virgin birth, the death of Jesus on the cross, and the Savior‘s resurrection.  Sinners who acknowledge divine forgiveness may become “reborn”.  While all Christian believers do not serve as pastors, pulpit preachers, and teachers within the church, all must “fight the good fight of faith” by gradually acquiring and applying sacred knowledge, longsuffering, patience, and perseverance.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Does God give second chances when youve messed up?

I read stories of God restoring those who sinned such as Peter. I have repented but i feel God will not restore me and im tempted to just wallow and die

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.  And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them:  and they were sore afraid.  And the angel said unto them, Fear not:  for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.  And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.  (Luke 2:  8-12, King James Version, KJV)

“Zari”, the birth of Jesus Christ, the Christmas story, introduced special mechanisms from GOD to release mankind and all creation from the bondage of death and sin.  By receiving the imparted Spirit from GOD that will indwell a believer, the living come to know GOD as an aspect of their own content.  Included are inseparable features from the makeup of Deity such as faith, forbearance, forgiveness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  However, these things require multiple levels of sacred knowledge and practice to understand them completely, and have them operate in our day-to-day living in the most correct way.  The virgin birth of our Savior is a single link within a chain of sacred elements that may not be broken and separated.  The innocence and purity we see in the infant and in the virgin must be continued through the many episodes of life challenge, growth, learning, and death.  Like you and I, Jesus gradually had to become balanced, complete, consistent, stable, and useful (we say, mature).  Through operations of the same Holy Spirit that established heaven and earth, sinners become “born again.”  Their inborn spirit must die and be buried, so to speak, and they must be reborn from divine DNA.  The ongoing permanent changes in the living and their full transformation to exist as immortal, incorruptible, perfected life companions of divinity will be finished at the Advent (we also say, the harvest, the Rapture, the Second Coming) of Jesus.  Christian believers therefore all are called “the children of GOD” and “the new creation.”  Even so, those who are reborn also must “grow up again” while facing the same life challenges as everyone else upon the earth.  Yes, there will be disappointments, human error, mistakes, problems, and even, sins; however, believers will “bounce back”, and persevere.  They will “fight the good fight of faith” by continuing to acknowledge GOD through praise, prayer, repentance, and unselfish service.  Consider the following:

(1.)  1st John 1:  5-10, King James Version (KJV):  5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.  6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:  7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.  8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

(2.)  Hebrews 12:  3-8, KJV:  3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.  4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.  5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:  6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.  7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?  8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

(3.)  Revelation 3:  18-21, KJV:  18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.  19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten:  be zealous therefore, and repent.  20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:  if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.  21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Points are shared, today, on bondage to sin and the periods of captivity and exile among the Jews.  By comparison to those from Africa who were forced to endure chattel slavery (status as another person’s belongings, goods or property) in Europe and the United States of America, the Jews have undergone discrimination, persecution, and prejudice, yet, have continued as a free and independent people.  The effects of abasement and the destruction of social institutions (e.g., customs, family, marriage, parenting, sacred practice, traditions) suffered by the sons of Africa continue among the diverse cultures of the world to this very hour.  In the holy writings, the first account of chattel slavery appears as the consolidation of Egypt.  Ownership and possession are major themes within the Scriptures.  The Jews appear to have escaped bondage, and remained the “property of GOD.”  Relief for the great famine administered by Joseph, resulted in a transformation of Egyptian government wherein the people became chattel, and the personal property of the Pharaohs.  Following their separation from the house of David under Rehoboam, son of Solomon, the Northern Kingdom (also called Israel and Samaria) condemned worship at the Temple in Jerusalem, and worship of the golden calf of Egypt was introduced.  Eventually, the North was overrun and subjugated by the Assyrians in what is called “captivity” due to the elements of forced labor, military conquest, and the people being relocated to develop weaker areas of the empire.  Hundreds of years later, the Southern Kingdom (also called, Judea) would be exploited in the same way by the Babylonians.  Where captivity is seen imposed by a foreign conqueror, exile is the lawful punishment by divinity where those in perpetual covenant for the Promised Land are banished and scattered from their homeland.  The writer at “Yahoo! John 8:33 says that the Jews told Jesus they were never slaves. But they were slaves in Egypt , and then Babylon.?

John 8:33 They answered him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?”

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;  And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.  For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.  (Hebrews 2:  14-16, KJV)

“hiniikken”, the word of GOD to Abraham as prophecy described a people being set apart and taken out (we say, sanctified) for divine service from among the sons of Adam who otherwise would remain in bondage to sin.  Consider the following:

(1.)  Genesis 15:  12-16, KJV:  12 And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.  13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;  14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge:  and afterward shall they come out with great substance.  15 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.  16 But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again:  for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.

(2.)  Genesis 47:  17-21, KJV:  17 And they brought their cattle unto Joseph: and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for horses, and for the flocks, and for the cattle of the herds, and for the asses:  and he fed them with bread for all their cattle for that year.  18 When that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands:  19 Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh:  and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate.  20 And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them:  so the land became Pharaoh’s.  21 And as for the people, he removed them to cities from one end of the borders of Egypt even to the other end thereof.

(3.)  Galatians 4:  22-26, KJV:  22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.  23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.  24 Which things are an allegory:  for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.  25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.  26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

(4.)  Galatians 4:  30-31, KJV:  30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son:  for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.  31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

(5.)  Romans 6:  11-13, KJV:  11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.  12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.  13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin:  but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

(6.)  Romans 6:  16-17, KJV:  16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?  17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (7.)  Romans 6:  21-23, KJV:  21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.  22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.  23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and spiritual maturity.

That the ministries of John the Baptist as herald, priest and prophet would be surpassed by those of Jesus as Savior, Son of Man, and Son of GOD is considered, today.  A writer at “Yahoo! What did the baptized John mean by he must increase, but I must decrease?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.  And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?  John answered them, saying, I baptize with water:  but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;  He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to unloose.  These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.  The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.  This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me:  for he was before me.  And I knew him not:  but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.  And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.  And I knew him not:  but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.  And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.  (John 1:  24-34, KJV)

“Mike”, here are some points from the sacred knowledge collected as the Bible that may clarify the teaching here:

(1.)  John the Baptist was commissioned by Deity through his miraculous birth to an elderly woman who was the wife of a priest among the Jews, and who had lived barren (unable to have children).  While still in his mother’s womb, and before his actual birth, John responded as being filled with the imparted spirit from GOD (we say, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Prophecy).

(2.)  Instead of continuing on a career path that might see him installed as the High Priest, John left the Temple community at Jerusalem, where he had been raised on “holy ground,” and had been nourished eating and drinking only what was the holy portion for the priests and their families from the offerings, sacrifices, tithes, and gifts of the altar.

(3.)  Acknowledging historical teachings and prophesies recorded among the Jews, John began a unique public ministry, preaching repentance for sin, and performing baptisms (we say, cleansing, washing).  Because of that work, John was respected by many and given the name “the Baptist.”

(4.)  No prophet had appeared for more than 400 years in the mold and pattern of such men as Malachi, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Samuel or Moses.  John would be acknowledged as a fulfillment of divine promise as well as a prophet by those who accepted John as the herald spoken of in Scripture who would announce the presence of a divine emissary from Deity, the Messiah (we also say, Christ, the Anointed One).

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  For example, (5.)  John performed no miracles, yet, many believed he, in fact, was the one that should come as sent by GOD to deliver the chosen people from the peculiar bondage of poverty, Rome, and sin.  John used baptism as a device to draw the unknown person to himself who would be sent from GOD to carry out the exalted spiritual duties of Messiah.  John denied that he himself was the One Sent.  Through operations of the Holy Spirit, when Jesus of Nazareth appeared for baptism, John gave testimony (we say, witness) that Jesus is the Son of GOD.  The divine revelation further indicated that the ministry of Jesus would begin, and that John’s work was effectually finished.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
