Today, points are shared on church architecture, water baptism, and becoming a full member within a sacred body.  The writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “marquinishia” (Level 1 with 6 points, a member since May 21, 2015) posted the following:

Why do churches have an indoor pool behind the pastor?

It was hot during service last Sunday. Why didn’t the pastor open up the pool for us? This is my second time going to service.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And all the people gathered themselves together as one man into the street that was before the water gate; and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded to Israel.  And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day of the seventh month.  And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law.  And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam.  And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people; (for he was above all the people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up:  And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands:  and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their faces to the ground.  Also Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law:  and the people stood in their place.  So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.  And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.  Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared:  for this day is holy unto our LORD:  neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.  (Nehemiah 8:  1-10, King James Version, KJV)

“marquinishia”, the pool you see is not for amusement, entertainment, leisure, or play.  Water baptism is a “sacrament” (i.e., sacred practice) to make visible otherwise unseen operations performed by the Holy Spirit that transform sinners to exist as members of the church created by Jesus Christ.  There must be the death and burial of ones inborn spirit with rebirth from divine DNA, so to speak.  A baptism font is used in those settings where the physical actions to establish a person as “born again” require only that they be sprinkled with water.  A standing pool for baptism is used where the complete immersion of the candidate for membership is required.  Here, rivers and running water may be preferred, for they convey the washing away of sins more correctly than standing pools that will stagnate and accumulate uncleanness.

The differences we see when viewing the places of assembly for Christian worship often indicate differences in their doctrines and sacred practices.  Because the pattern of things in heaven were copied by Moses, Ezra, King Solomon and others when raising up the Tabernacle and the Temple, many modern day church groups use devices and images described in the holy writings.  Assemblies that promote family life, community service, and missionary outreach may seek to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere by using plush carpets, casual seating, and audio-visual aides such as flat screen TV.  By contrast, congregations devoted to prayer, preaching, and proclaiming prophecy often are austere and plain.  They may feature a pulpit raised above the people to display the speaker; the speaker may appear alone on a platform that has a book stand that serves as a “sacred desk;” or the speaker, being on the same level as those gathered, may go in and out among those attending in order to establish more intimate contact with the believers.

Those who are “born again” as Christian believers must also “grow up again,” endure “growing pains,” and become mature in commitment, discernment, service, and understanding.  While such believers will be accounted as a new creation, a son or daughter of GOD, and a joint-heir with Christ, the developing believers must become ripe (we say, mature) for harvesting by the Lord at his appearing (we say, the Advent, the Rapture, the Second Coming).  Believers are to increasingly display an endowment of spirit substance from the makeup of GOD.  Included are faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, meekness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Consider the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Romans 6:  3-7, King James Version (KJV):  3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?  4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:  that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.  5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:  6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.  7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

(2.)  Acts 19:  2-7, KJV:  2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.  3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.  4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.  5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.  6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.  7 And all the men were about twelve.

(3.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 6:  8-13, KJV:  8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:  9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.  10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once:  but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.  11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.  12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.  13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin:  but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Elijah Calling for Fire From GOD to Defeat the 450 Priests of Baal

Today, fire from GOD, divine judgment, and the Lake of Fire are topics.  In Scripture, fire appears as an emblem of divine authority evoking awe, and a sign of divine righteousness.  Because we are speaking of a tool used by GOD for whom nothing is impossible, Christian believers accept that fire can be made to fall like rain even though mingled with ice and hail.  It is written:  Isaiah 4:  3-6, King James Version (KJV):  3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:  4 When the LORD shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.  5 And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night:  for upon all the glory shall be a defence.  6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Christians: How can Satan burn in the lake of fire when it’s clear from this verse that angels don’t get hurt from fire?

Daniel 3:25

He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”

This is referencing the story of Shadrach and his 2 brothers.

Satan was once an angel, so why would he suffer in Hell? Wouldn’t he view it as a nice trip to the hot springs?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight.  Behold, there came fire down from heaven, and burnt up the two captains of the former fifties with their fifties:  therefore let my life now be precious in thy sight.  And the angel of the LORD said unto Elijah, Go down with him:  be not afraid of him. And he arose, and went down with him unto the king.  And he said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron, is it not because there is no God in Israel to enquire of his word? therefore thou shalt not come down off that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.  So he died according to the word of the LORD which Elijah had spoken. And Jehoram reigned in his stead in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah; because he had no son.  (2nd Kings 1:  13-17, KJV)

“JohnnyBravo”, the notion that Satan can not be hurt in fire comes to us as another form of the answer given to Eve, Ye shall not surely die.  In the holy writings, different operations of fire from GOD include (1) anointing, cleansing, purifying fire such as fell on the apostles at Pentecost, (2) fire and flames indicating the active presence who is GOD as was seen by Moses in the burning bush, (3) flame that sanctifies, sets apart, and identifies the portion that belongs to GOD like the pillar of flame that stood between Pharaoh’s army and those fleeing Egypt in the Exodus, and (4) consuming, destroying fire such as that set apart to destroy the Devil and his angels.  Throughout the Scriptures burning and fire repeatedly indicate judgment, correction, prophecy, and wrath against sin.  Despite having been consecrated and ordained as priests, two sons of Aaron were punished for seeking to use ordinary fire from the earth when offering incense to the Most High.  Holy fire (the fire from GOD; fire from the holy altar) is very different in its makeup, process and substance from common fire used on the earth for cooking, light, or heating.  Holy fire separates the carnal, material and social aspects of an offering from the spirit content that is to be transferred to GOD such as awe, devotion, faithfulness, gratitude, humility, love, obedience, reverence and zeal.  Consider again the following from the Bible:

(1.)  Leviticus 10:  1-3, King James Version (KJV):  1 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.  2 And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.  3 Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.

(2.)  1st Kings 18:  21-24, KJV:  21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him:  but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.  22 Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men.  23 Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under:  and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under:  24 And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD:  and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken.

(3.)  Matthew 25:  40-45, KJV:  40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.  41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:  42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat:  I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:  43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not:  sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.  44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?  45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

(4.)  Revelation 20:  13-15, KJV:  13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them:  and they were judged every man according to their works.  14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.  15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  Revelation 20:  9-11, KJV:  9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city:  and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.  10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.  11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is made on why Mary and others went out to the tomb of Jesus early on “Resurrection Sunday.”  The process of GOD through Jesus Christ has been one of continuous and permanent change, gradual growth, and preparing for full transformation that will be completed at the Second Coming of Jesus (we also say, the Advent, the harvest, the Rapture).  At first, belief and conviction would depend upon completing practical tasks, recall and reflection, where later operations of the Holy Spirit would edify and carry believers forward through prophecy and gifts of the Spirit.  Many who obeyed during the crisis of Jesus being arrested and tried still did not understand how these things were fulfilling eternal purposes.  Others even reacted with unbelief because they simply continued in long-standing habits, and their usual routines.  Just as the women had not completed all the work for cleansing and preserving a body before entombment, the sacred event and operations by the Spirit of GOD were not yet all completed.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Phil” (Level 4 with 4,343 points, a member since September 18, 2010) posted the following:

What was Mary Magdalene doing sniffing round Jesus’ tomb after three days? Necrophilia or did he owe her some money?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?  Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.  Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?  But he spake of the temple of his body.  When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.  (John 2:  18-22, King James Version, KJV)

“Phil,” the work was not finished, and there was still much that had to be accomplished.  Jesus had been placed in the tomb shortly before sundown and the beginning of the Sabbath.  The task of removing his body from the cross had to be done.  As the highest Roman official having authority regarding the execution of the Lord, Pontius Pilate had to be petitioned for permission to bury the Savior in a private sepulcher that was owned by a wealthy member of the Sanhedrin.  In addition to carefully removing the crown of thorns so as not to tear away the flesh, there was the work of stopping the open wounds of his body, washing away the still drying blood, sealing his wounds, applying ointments and spices that would slow the decay and keep the body from stinking, as well as gathering to express bereavement through prayers and ritual mourning.

In the same way, those in flesh had not completed all their necessary tasks, there remained much to be done by the Spirit of the Lord.  For the people of GOD in Christ, loss of, and separation from loved ones by death are to be understood as reversible by GOD, and temporary.  Rather than emotion, thoughts, and memories, commitment, discernment and eternal purpose should be in charge.  Even so, Mary Magdalene, Joseph of Arimathaea, his own Mother, and John who had witnessed his crucifixion had not yet received the imparted, indwelling Spirit (we say, the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth) that would be sent to abide among them on the day of Pentecost.  Until then, mankind could only be prompted and stirred to take action guided by the Spirit, and this occurred as mere episodes that did not seem to be connected.

The process of GOD during our bereavement is to affirm and continue life, therefore, when the Comforter arrives he commands that we go to work among the living:  We are to minister and meet the needs of others by showing hospitality, encouraging joy, and proclaiming the promises of GOD.  The faith of the apostles and disciples first would have to be amplified and built up for them to realize the many things Jesus spoke as explanation and instruction that they had taken as only casual remarks.  Consider again the following from the Bible:

(1.)  Mark 15:  42-44, King James Version (KJV):  42 And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,  43 Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.  44 And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead:  and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.

(2.)  Mark 16:  1-4, KJV:  1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.  2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.  3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?  4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away:  for it was very great.

(3.)  John 14:  25-27, KJV:  25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.  26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.  27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:  not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  1st Thessalonians 4:  13-18, KJV:  13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.  15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:  and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:  and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is made explaining the acceptance of Jews by Christian believers.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” using the name “Anonymous” (no profile information appears) posted the following:

Why do Christians blame Jews for Jesus death yet without his death your faith is meaningless by your own admission so why?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.  He that believeth on him is not condemned:  but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.  And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.  For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.  But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.  (John 3:  16-21, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The de facto Covenants? (12/30/2016); Herein Is True Love (10/21/2016); Tools for Revelation? (10/26/2015); The Remnant? “Anonymous”, the operations of divinity using the cross have not been provided for the destruction of the Jews, the Gentiles, or even, of the Devil.  The events to make immortal, incorruptible Deity knowable, known, and visible to all created beings and living creatures (we say, revelation) have also included the proclamation of sacred judgment against sin that uses such elements as admonitions, blessing, covenant, curses, death, forgiveness, law, promises, prophecy, and resurrection from the dead.  The important work for mature followers of the Lord is not to attack, punish, or wage holy war against others.  Rather, it is to minister comfort, correction, and love to those caught up and otherwise unable to escape the “history” of sin upon the earth, and within their own personal lives.  Only those lacking sacred knowledge, experiences of holy sacraments, and necessary spiritual growth continue to accuse or “blame” anyone.  It is not that sin no longer exists, or wrath from GOD against sin is no longer being expressed.  It is that judgment has become clearer as operations by the Holy Spirit for cleansing and expressing love.  Mature Christians believe the Jews were chosen as a people of GOD to demonstrate the tragic consequences of breaking covenant, disobedience of divine law, guilt, and iniquity (i.e., persisting in rebellion) as well as to proclaim access to GOD through atonement, rebirth, repentance, and sanctification.  The appearance of Jesus Christ upon the earth was to further recover and restore those who belong to GOD through faith and other aspects of their spirit endowment from the makeup of Deity.  Consider again the following:

(1.)  Matthew 18:  7-11, King James Version (KJV):  7 Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!  8 Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee:  it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.  9 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee:  it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.  10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.  11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

(2.)  Mark 2:  16-17, KJV:  16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?  17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick:  I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

(3.)  Matthew 27:  22-26, KJV:  22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.  23 And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.  24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person:  see ye to it.  25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.  26 Then released he Barabbas unto them:  and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Ezekiel 18:  20-24, KJV:  20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son:  the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.  21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.  22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him:  in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.  23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GODand not that he should return from his ways, and live?  24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned:  in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Advent, eternal life, prophecy and revelation are topics, today.  For Christian believers, it is as though one speaking among the divine persons said to the others with him in heaven, “I go to repair a place for you,” and to those becoming reconciled to Deity upon the earth, “I go to prepare a place for you.”  Jesus Christ is that person within the fullness of divinity (we say, the GODhead) that is preparing a dwelling place for those created beings and living creatures who will exist as immortal, incorruptible life companions to the Risen Lord within the eternal kingdom of GOD.  As portrayed for us in the life events where a son obtains the inheritance as firstborn, joint-heirs with the Son of GOD receive a double portion from the estate of the Father that we are first to apply in completing his “unfinished business” that may include canceling debts, fulfilling promises, and providing closure.  A fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Sherry” (Level 1 with 3 points, a member since July 19, 2007) posted the following:

Why did Jesus say He was coming back ?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.  Behold, I come quickly:  hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.  Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out:  and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God:  and I will write upon him my new name.  (Revelation 3:  10-12, KJV)

“Sherry”, many mature Christian believers trust that divinity operated through the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit to put forth all things that exist.  Included are created beings and living creatures, their spheres of life (e.g., heaven, earth, the universe), provisions for their duration and life process (e.g., birth, aging, growth, maturity) as well as sacred law to be the platform for all divine order.  The revelation of GOD whereby divinity is made knowable and known to the living involves multiple displays and works that may only be performed by Deity, who is a spirit.  For the living to correctly understand, the workings of GOD must be gradual, in chronological sequence, and visible in accordance with the finite frameworks of time and space.  For example, forgiveness and atonement for sin, rebirth through baptism, Incarnation (divinity using flesh and human form to appear upon the earth), resurrection of the dead, and sanctification have been carried out along with imparting spirit content from the makeup of GOD (we say, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth).  The Creator has continued to communicate, exchange, and interact with the created through utterance (we say, proclamation, promise, and prophecy).  The death of Jesus upon the cross was only one aspect of his larger work as High Priest in heaven.  In addition to completing the ministry of atonement and cleansing the place of GOD (we say, the Temple of heaven) that has been defiled by the sins of the living, Christ will conclude ongoing judgment of his disciples and followers, prepare to harvest his who are “ripe” from the earth, finish building New Jerusalem, determine allotments for his followers to dwell there, and prepare for resurrection and judgment of the wicked.  Consider how some of this appears stated in the language of the Bible:

(1.)   John 14:  1-3, King James Version (KJV):  1 Let not your heart be troubled:  ye believe in God, believe also in me.  2 In my Father’s house are many mansions:  if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

(2.)   2nd Corinthians 5:  1-5, KJV:  1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.  2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:  3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.  4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened:  not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.  5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

(3.)  Romans 8:  22-24, KJV:  22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.  23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.  24 For we are saved by hope:  but hope that is seen is not hope:  for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

There is far more that could be said, must be carefully examined, and spiritually understood.  (For example (4.)  1st Thessalonians 4:  14-18, KJV:  14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

The sacred operations of atonement, crucifixion, and Jesus Christ as High Priest are topics, today.  Correctly understood there are many separate divine works that comprise the full atonement that pertains to preparing for and completing final judgment.  The return of Christ to heaven following his death upon the cross was as much to complete raising up the New Jerusalem, and bringing his followers under his blood within the Books of Life as for demonstrating resurrection and the first death, or addressing the issues of sin.  In addition to his roles as Risen Lord, Jesus is to be seen and acknowledged as prince, and High Priest.  Where Christ has suffered the most in body and spirit, and does not go before the Father without joy, all complaining, murmuring, and weeping from the earth become superfluous.  The work of Christ above explains the delay in his Second Coming (Advent).  Consider the following Scriptures and the presentation below:

John 3:  12-15, King James Version (KJV):  12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?  13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.  14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:  15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 6:  37-39, KJV:  37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.  38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.  39 And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

Hebrews 2:  14-18, KJV:  14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;  15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.  16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.  17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.  18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

Hebrews 3:  1-6, KJV:  1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;  2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.  3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.  4 For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.  5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;  6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

Question about the Atonement of Jesus Christ.?

Question: If Jesus Christ would have never been Crucified, would the Atonement have taken place? Which part of the Atonement allows people to be forgiven of their sins? Death on the Cross or Suffering in Garden of Gathsemane? (Sp?) I have my own answer and am wondering How all of you feel about it.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:  (For until the law sin was in the world:  but sin is not imputed when there is no law.  Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.  But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.  And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift:  for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.  For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)  Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.  For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.  Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:  That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.  (Romans 5:  12-21, KJV)

“razzyandmax”, many mature Christian believers understand that through operations of the Holy Spirit, blood and truth from the cross are flowing despite time and space to here and now.  The death of Jesus Christ upon the cross is a “one-time event” among multiple acts of divine revelation to make the character and nature of unseen divinity known to all created beings and living creatures.  The Savior’s crucifixion is inseparable from the appearance of divinity in flesh (we say, Incarnation), the imparting of spirit substance from the makeup of Deity (we say, the falling of the Holy Ghost—also called the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth), and the cleansing of heaven as a seat of judgment.  In keeping with the pattern Moses was commanded to reproduce upon the earth, the cross provides the sacred blood required for the divine operations performed by Christ as High Priest to restore the Sanctuary in heaven.  Through sin, the altar of incense that represents the prayers lifted up to GOD, the furnishings, and even the throne of mercy have been defiled and polluted by contact with elements that include confession, deceit, disobedience,  petitions, tears, and weeping.  Consider again how this is stated in the language of the Bible:

(1.)  Exodus 30:  8-10, King James Version (KJV):  8 And when Aaron lighteth the lamps at even, he shall burn incense upon it, a perpetual incense before the LORD throughout your generations.  9 Ye shall offer no strange incense thereon, nor burnt sacrifice, nor meat offering; neither shall ye pour drink offering thereon.  10 And Aaron shall make an atonement upon the horns of it once in a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonements:  once in the year shall he make atonement upon it throughout your generations:  it is most holy unto the LORD.

(2.)  Ezekiel 45:  17-20, KJV:  17 And it shall be the prince’s part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all solemnities of the house of Israel:  he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.  18 Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the first month, in the first day of the month, thou shalt take a young bullock without blemish, and cleanse the sanctuary:  19 And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering, and put it upon the posts of the house, and upon the four corners of the settle of the altar, and upon the posts of the gate of the inner court.  20 And so thou shalt do the seventh day of the month for every one that erreth, and for him that is simple:  so shall ye reconcile the house.

(3.)  Malachi 2:  13, KJV:  13 And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand.

(4.)  2nd Corinthians 5:  17-19, KJV:  17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:  old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;  19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

There is far more to be said, understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.) Hebrews 7:  25-27, KJV:  25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.  26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;  27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s:  for this he did once, when he offered up himself.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Points are shared, here, on the correctness of continuing to expect the return of Jesus Christ to the earth.  Mature Christian believers receive Christ as Messiah, and as a divine High Priest who now is making atonement for sin within the Temple of heaven.  Acknowledging our present time as also being a “Day of Atonement,” believers now afflict themselves (i.e., humble themselves in fasting, mourning (not bereavement, sorrow for sin), obedience, prayer, and study of the holy writings) knowing our High Priest is entered into the Holiest of Holies applying consecrated blood for remission of sin.  More than this, a word of divine promise has been spoken.  In the same way we are not saved by obeying the Ordinance of Humility, washing the feet of others, we are not saved by our other demonstrations of faith.  Rather, salvation is imparted on the basis of grace, proclamation, and promise.  Just as a pregnant woman and others around her become increasingly aware that the birth of a child is coming, yet, do not know exactly what day or hour she will go into labor, so we know Christ is coming, without knowing the exact time.  Believers are to persevere and prepare by continuing faith, and performing good works as the expression of new life and rebirth in Christ.  Examine again the following Scriptures, and consider the presentation below:

Leviticus 23:  27-29, King James Version (KJV):  27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement:  it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.  28 And ye shall do no work in that same day:  for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God.  29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.

Numbers 23:  19, KJV:  God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent:  hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Isaiah 55:  10-12, KJV:  10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:  11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth:  it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.  12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace:  the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Isaiah 61:  1-3, KJV:  1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;  2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;  3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

1st Thessalonians 3:  12-13, KJV:  12 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:  13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

1st Thessalonians 5:  1-5, KJV:  1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.  2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.  3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.  4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.  5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day:  we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

Is it a mistake to assume Jesus will never return because He didn’t return around the year 2000 ?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;  Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.  But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.  For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:  Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day:  and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.  (2nd Timothy 4:  1-8, KJV)

“Sherry”, for mature Christian believers, proclaiming the promise of Christ to come again is an undeniable aspect of sharing the full Gospel (we say, good news).  The Savior’s Advent (Second Coming) must occur for the further fulfillment of redemption and salvation begun in heaven, carried out upon the earth, and soon to be completed by his presence.  Many sensitive elements are involved that make the doctrine of his coming “non-negotiable”.  Included are manifesting the authority, legitimacy, and power in GOD’s word; continuing eternal revelation (i.e., divinity becoming known and visible to created beings and living creatures); displaying the integrity and righteousness of GOD as well as meeting all the demands of atonement, judgment, and sanctification.  For those who have received the same faith that was in Jesus upon the earth, there is no issue or question of “if” or “when” the Father will conclude the Creation.  We are commanded to be vigilant (Watch and pray!), and no further warning will be given.  Our present condition is to be acknowledged as an expression of divine mercy and salvation that affirms our expectation (we say, hope).  We are now in an ongoing process where permanent changes gradually are being made to the character, nature, and substance of those who are “born again.”  The  transformation to fit mankind as an eternal companion of divinity will be completed as we are caught up to meet the Lord at the time of his appearing.  Consider again the following:

(1.)  2nd Peter 1:  2-4, King James Version (KJV):  2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,  3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:  4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:  that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

(2.)  Revelation 1:  7-8, KJV:  7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.  8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

(3.)  John 14:  1-3, KJV:  1 Let not your heart be troubled:  ye believe in God, believe also in me.  2 In my Father’s house are many mansions:  if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
