Today, thoughts are shared on the Ten Commandments as an Incarnation of divinity.  Obedience to the law of GOD provides many different benefits.  Even so, simply obeying the law does not completely and correctly realign created beings and living creatures to be eternal life companions to an immortal, incorruptible Creator.  Justification with GOD is an expression of acceptance and approval through divine grace, and is not based on a percentage or statistics that describe a sinner’s obedience of sacred law.  The demands that result in fruitful relationship with divinity go beyond the obligations from the law described as good deeds and works, and that emerge from finite desire, intellect, imagination, logic, passion, or carnal reason.  Believers also must continually display inseparable aspects of spirit content from the makeup of GOD.  Included are faith, forbearance, holiness, hope, joy, lovingkindness, righteousness, and wisdom.  Many have condemned sacred law as “cursed”, because the frameworks for exposing and identifying “sin” did not also eliminate divine judgment, justify the living as godly and righteous, and shield the living from the perpetual wrath of GOD against sin.  While all divine law has been provided to enable recognition and rejection of sin, and did include statements describing consequences and effects of its disobedience/obedience (we say, sanctions), the law did not embody or operate like sin by opposing the continued existence of GOD and the created universe.  Jesus Christ would come as an incarnation of divinity who would die on the cross both to fulfill divine law, and to further reveal atonement and propitiation for mankind’s sin.  A fighter at “Yahoo! How many of Moses’s ten commandments have you personally broken?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.  For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.  And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.  (Romans 8:  1-10, King James Version, KJV)

STEVAN”, here are some ideas you may not find familiar, yet, should build up your thinking about the Ten Commandments:  The unseen precepts, principles, and spirit of the law are as important as the audible statement and wording of the law (it’s letter).  The law embodies divinity (is an Incarnation, an appearance of GOD using a familiar form).  To break one commandment from GOD is to break all the commandments.  This is because the law must be received as having internal coherence, harmony, integrity, sacred substance (we say, breath, spirit, word), and stability.  For mature Christian believers, the same principle of oneness without sameness that describes the existence of divine persons within the fullness of Deity (we say, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) is to be acknowledged when considering the sacred law expressing divine will that was imparted to mankind through Moses as covenant and inheritance.

Many lack sacred knowledge and indulge spiritual confusion when it comes to divine law.  They take up the law as an inorganic abstraction.  To provide academic explanations and secular instruction, the law becomes analyzed, “broken down” and compartmentalized  into specific judgments, ordinances, regulations, rules, and statutes.  Comparison (grouping things to show how they are alike), contrast (pairing things to show how they are different), and efforts to detail subtleties (i.e., barely visible differences; hidden and sudden shifts in meaning, quality, and value) introduce language and overlays that give the law a false appearance of complexity, contradiction, and incompleteness.  More than this, the person and active presence of divinity are denied.  By his insistence on carrying out the righteousness of the law, Jesus Christ reinforced the consciousness of law as personal and living.

The purposes and workings of the law pertain to judgment as the assigning of value, determining continuity and duration, resolving conflicts and settling disputes in accordance with divine order, and the endorsement of the makeup and substance of created beings and living creatures as being “justified”.  Consider again the following:

(1.)  Mark 12:  28-32, King James Version (KJV):  28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?  29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:  30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength:  this is the first commandment.  31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.  32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth:  for there is one God; and there is none other but he:

(2.)  Matthew 5:  18-20, KJV:  18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.  19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven:  but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.  20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

(3.)  Romans 13:  8-10, KJV:   Owe no man any thing, but to love one another:  for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.  9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour:  therefore love is the fulfilling of the law

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  James 2:  8-11, KJV:  8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:  9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.  10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.  11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, death, judgment, justice, and divine law are considered.  The establishment of lasting divine justice requires attention to sacred principles, and multiple subtleties (i.e., barely visible differences; hidden shifts in meaning and value) along with deeds and events that have been fully witnessed only by GOD.  Through the judgment of GOD against Adam and Eve, the living all come under a “divine sentence of death.”  Humans are released from sin where they complete and fulfill the natural condition of mortality.  Even so, the consequences from sin include final judgment, and the operations of a person’s sin may continue indefinitely long after the death of the sinner.  The second death is the divine penalty imposed against the spiritual conditions of corruption, lawlessness, sin, and wickedness.  Through use of the Lake of Fire the fullness of divine wrath against iniquity and unrepentant sinners will be completely revealed; and the influence and operations of sin will be concluded and ended forever.  Presently, imposing death and killing an offender often does reestablish and maintain balance, eternal purpose and divine order, yet, many of the aspects of justice are not visibly addressed.  Included are the provision of atonement, divine love, healing, repayment, and restitution.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers (India)” who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:

Why is it wrong to kill someone if they violate god’s commadnments?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.  But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.  (Romans 7:  5-6, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Carrying Out Divine Law? (03/20/2017); Temporal and Eternal Judgment (02/15/2017); Cast the First Stone? (01/12/2017); About Revelation not Punishment? (01/15/2015)

“Anonymous”, the revealed objective of GOD is eternal life.  Thus, many mature Christian believers now understand that death/sleep came into existence as a tool to be used by GOD in Creation, and its purpose was to allow additions and corrections to be made where GOD would either approve as consistent with the divine impulse, or be displeased with the form, nature, substance and overall spirit-makeup of what might be put forth.  Before the “fall” of Adam and any transgression of divine law (we say, sin), death was proclaimed as a “sanction” in the law (i.e., a statement of consequences and effects that would result by obedience and disobedience).  Capital punish, execution for sinners, and killing offenders are contrary to the eternal purposes of GOD.  However, corruption and sin are without logic or reason; promote non-existence and self-destruction; and oppose the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and the entire universe.  In addition to death/sleep as mortality and a natural condition, the second death is now to be applied (we say, annihilation, elimination, total destruction) to permanently remove those who no longer display aspects of spirit that will respond to divine will.

In the same way death existed as a divine possibility before there were operations of “sin”, judgment appeared as a process displaying aspects of the divine makeup wherein sacred law (called, “the express will of GOD”) serves as a reliable, unchanging standard to (1) assign duration (e.g., brief and temporal existence; mortality, immortality, transience) along with meaning, quality, and value; and to (2) resolve conflicts and settle disputes.  Rightly understood, the law is eternal, immutable, incorruptible, and displays divine perfection.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example:  Divine justice (we say, balance, equality, fairness) must characterize both the process and the outcomes of judgment.  Thus, “let he who is without sin, cast the first stone.”  The law of GOD may shape and supply the content of  awareness and mind within created beings and living creatures.  Even so, the law itself does not serve as “self-will” or “will power” within the living that is necessary for them to carry out, fulfill, and perform all the divine intent and purpose stated by the law.  Divine judgment becomes a further revelation of divinity wherein forgiveness, impartiality, and mercy are made visible as the righteousness of GOD.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, topics include denominations, differences, and diversity within the household of GOD.  Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, Pentecostal, Methodist, Presbyterian:  there is a long list of names showing institutions who claim the Child that was born.  By the birth of Jesus, multiple streams of eternal purpose were combined and directed to continue in accord.  A child was born to remove enmity and separation between the Gentiles and the Jews, and a new access to the Father would be granted through his blood.  A new creation, the church, would emerge having one faith, one Lord, one baptism, one God and Father of all.  The authority as High Priest, Judge, Redeemer, and King continues to belong to the Son of the Highest.  Yet, the necessary acknowledgment of those who now also are children of GOD and joint-heirs with Christ may be completed only by the Father and the Holy Spirit.  A fighter at “Yahoo! 1 Corinthians 14:33

33 For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.

As in all the churches of the saints,

What say ye?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;  That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:  But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.  For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;  Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;  And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:  And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.  For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.  Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;  And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;  In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:  In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.  (Ephesians 2:  11-22, King James Version, KJV)

“Cato”, the existence of many denominations within the full household of GOD does not violate the “rule” of oneness without sameness that exists within the GODhead, and is little different from a father having many sons who are not the same age, do not share the same interests, and do not show the same willingness to do chores around the house.  Most mature Christian believers agree that divinity has appeared in flesh upon the earth as an answer to the many conflicts and questions that continually plague the living.  The aspects of revelation accomplished through the birth of Jesus Christ clarified, fulfilled, and also concluded various sacred covenants, proclamations, promises, and prophecies.  Even so, created beings and living creatures are not equipped to correctly recognize and respond to revealed truth from GOD until they receive a fresh endowment of spirit substance from the makeup of GOD.  Saying this another way, sinners must be born again; and once born again, believers must “grow up again” and mature by meeting life challenges upon the earth.  Diversity appears as an important device that is seen throughout Creation and among believers.  Without appearing in flesh (first as Jesus Christ, then, as his followers), divinity may only be known in relationship as immortal, immutable, invisible, and unchanging.  Through a human aspect, Jesus, the Son of Man, the Son of GOD, divine judgment is shown to center upon atonement, correction, forbearance, forgiveness, mercy, reconciliation, redemption, righteousness, and salvation.  Ethnicity, nationality, race, financial status, etc. are all “vain” (lack sacred substance).  Only GOD may make the necessary judgments of those who will be acknowledged as his offspring and heirs.  Thus, true believers will all patiently await the return of Jesus (we say, Advent, the harvest, the Rapture, the Second Coming, his appearing), and also practice restraint concerning condemnation, conflict, and differences.

Topics today include the birth of Jesus, Incarnation, Islam, and shared peace.  In the same way XYZ should not appear as part of the number pattern 12345, correctly understood, peace is not an aspect or product of secular knowledge, doctrine, philosophy, and systems of belief.  Even so, there must be a response by awareness, desire, and self-will to operations of the spirit of peace that resides within divine person.  Peace is an inner condition and spirit content that must be projected through and upon events, life conditions, and judgment whereby conflicts are resolved and disputes are settled through law.  Accord and peace both appear as the outcomes of judgment, instead of war; and agreement only results where there first is peace.  The writer at “Yahoo! Can Christians and Muslims be at peace with each other on Christmas day?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:  that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.  And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;  And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;  And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.  For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.  Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure:  for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:  For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  (2nd Peter 1:  2-11, King James Version, KJV)

“Troy”, whether those who are in conflict against others and within themselves may experience the peace of Christmas depends on the measure of divinity they respond to that exists as part of who they are.  Mature Christian believers will acknowledge the peace of Christmas is a spirit imparted from the makeup of GOD through breath (we also say, life essence, word) that is to continually exist within created beings and living creatures.  The spirit of peace is inseparable from the many other aspects of divine substance (i.e., where you find one, you find them all; and you can not separate the “wet from the water,” so to speak.  Included are faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, purity, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  While finite, human tools such as emotion, intellect, logic, philosophy, politics, and science will never eliminate sin, or fashion and maintain lasting peace, GOD has used the flesh, and appeared as a newborn child to embody the required completeness, gentleness, eternal possibilities, and sacred purposes that mean genuine peace throughout all Creation.  The peace of Christmas is not to be a “one-time event,” or a “good feeling” that dwindles and fades away.  All may realize the presence of Immanuel, GOD within us, and showing respect to the divine presence among and between us, know peace between the Creator and the created as well as correct reverence, right worship, and the true humanity that is from GOD.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.  Be encouraged!  Merry Christmas.

Today, focus is on who has legitimate authority to determine the duration, purity, quality, and value of the living.  Divine law is “the expressed will of God;” and in the same way the pattern “ABC” foretells the coming of “XYZ”, sacred law proclaims the coming of divine wrath against sin, the second death, and the final elimination through judgment of all opposition to GOD.  There are many in society now who want to complain against various things they encounter in their lives.  They operate as if they are a “law unto themselves,” are bound only by self-will, and feel they are correct to be vocal about their own choices and opinions.  While it is reasonable for a person to speak their own private understandings of the truth, Christian believers are challenged to speak only in agreement with divine law, the holy writings, sacred promises and prophecy, eternal purpose, and the revelation of GOD through Jesus Christ.  Equal respect are to be shown to the underlying principles, process, and spirit of the law as well as to the determination, ruling, and sentence of the law.  It is written:  Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.  My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:  Because I will publish the name of the Lord:  ascribe ye greatness unto our God.  He is the Rock, his work is perfect:  for all his ways are judgment:  a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he (Deuteronomy 32:  1-4, King James Version, KJV).  A fighter at “Yahoo! True or False: Only God can judge us?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God:  the powers that be are ordained of God.  Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God:  and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.  For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:  For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain:  for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.  Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.  For for this cause pay ye tribute also:  for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.  Render therefore to all their dues:  tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.  Owe no man any thing, but to love one another:  for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.  For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.  (Romans 13:  1-10, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Respect of Persons? (10/14/2016); Law, Vengeance, and Punishment? (09/30/2016); About Judgment By GOD (08/29/2016); Natural and Spiritual Law? (06/30/2016); As Agents of Divinity (06/12/2016); A Learned Council of Elders? (05/10/2016); Damnation And The Cross? (03/06/2016)

“Corey”, many mature Christian believers regard exercising sound “judgment” (assessing danger, risk, and threat; assigning value; using fixed standards to measure and acknowledge difference and sameness) as an essential gift from GOD, and a continuous and widespread “life process” for mankind.  All living must consider and weigh alternatives among such features as actions, meanings, opportunities, possibilities, and relationships.  As a response to divinity, “judgment” (applying sanctions expressed through sacred law that may include condemnation, correction, and punishment) appears as duty, obedience, and a revelation of divine will that also should show man to be made in the image of GOD, who has been revealed as a law giver, enforcer of the law, and judge.  As the application of divine law to resolve conflicts and settle disputes, judgment always restores balance, maintains divine order, and produces peace.  The authority of men in divine judgment is always only that of agents, representatives, and spokespersons who proclaim, carry out, and perform the will of the Maker, who is owner and sovereign ruler over all.  There are aspects of divine judgment that can be declared among men, yet, be completed and fulfilled only by divinity.  Thus, the fullness of GOD that includes wrath against sin eventually will be emanated, poured forth, and revealed without further restraint, or warning.  Consider again how some of this is stated using language from the Bible:

(1.)  Deuteronomy 1:  13-17, King James Version (KJV):  13 Take you wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and I will make them rulers over you.  14 And ye answered me, and said, The thing which thou hast spoken is good for us to do.  15 So I took the chief of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, and captains over fifties, and captains over tens, and officers among your tribes.  16 And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him.  17 Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God’s:  and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.

(2.)  Deuteronomy 16:  18-20, KJV:  18 Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes:  and they shall judge the people with just judgment.  19 Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift:  for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.  20 That which is altogether just shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live, and inherit the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

(3.)  Zephaniah 2:  2-3, KJV:  2 Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD’s anger come upon you.  3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness:  it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’s anger.

(4.)  Deuteronomy 17:  6-12, KJV:  6 At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.  7 The hands of the witnesses shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So thou shalt put the evil away from among you.  8 If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within thy gates:  then shalt thou arise, and get thee up into the place which the LORD thy God shall choose;  9 And thou shalt come unto the priests the Levites, and unto the judge that shall be in those days, and enquire; and they shall shew thee the sentence of judgment:  10 And thou shalt do according to the sentence, which they of that place which the LORD shall choose shall shew thee; and thou shalt observe to do according to all that they inform thee:  11 According to the sentence of the law which they shall teach thee, and according to the judgment which they shall tell thee, thou shalt do:  thou shalt not decline from the sentence which they shall shew thee, to the right hand, nor to the left.  12 And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the priest that standeth to minister there before the LORD thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die:  and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  2nd Peter 3:  8-10, KJV:  8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.  9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

The Armor of God

Focus, today, is on Christian use of Internet tools that block, delete, and refuse to acknowledge  comments posted by atheists, critics, disbelievers, and scorners.  While believers are to be forbearing, forgiving, respectful and supportive of those making inquiry into the things of life from GOD through Jesus Christ, believers are not correct to encourage the continuation of abuse, blasphemy, deceit, discord, “doubtful disputation,” slander, and spiritual confusion.  It is an error to think that responding to mocking and unbelief are some form of sacrifice for the Lord, for we are instructed by Hosea 6:  6, King James Version, KJV):  For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.  We are to put on the whole armor of GOD as our defense in meeting thrusts from those who are antichrists by their commitments, conduct, desires, doctrine, knowledge, lusts, purposes, and spirit.  The writer at “Yahoo! THE GOLDEN ARROW:  From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?  Ye lust, and have not:  ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain:  ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.  Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.  Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.  Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?  But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.  Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep:  let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.  Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.  (James 4:  1-10, KJV)

“Christmas Dashy”, as sinners who have been “born again”,  Christian believers are encouraged to endure affliction, life challenges, “growing pains,” and suffering upon the earth as necessary aspects of becoming “ripe” for harvest at the appearing of Jesus Christ from heaven (we say, the Advent, the Rapture, the Second Coming).  To be effective and fruitful as those born again, believers all must “grow up again” displaying growth within their spirit, their acquisition of sacred knowledge, and their developing to  maturity as a “new creation” through the ministry provided by Christ and the Holy Spirit.  Multiple operations carried out by divinity equip and supply his workers to accomplish the specific duties, tasks, and spiritual works that continue correct relationship with divinity.  Included are clarifying, demonstrating and spreading the doctrines and teachings from Christ through their lifestyle and daily routines as well as praise, prayer, service, and worship.  While dialog and interaction with others are necessary, the tools of argument, debate, and the methods of academic study tend to be useless.  Such finite tools as intellect, logic, mathematics, science, and technology do not allow created beings and living creatures to recognize, resist or eliminate sin.  Focus and priority must be upon the gifts from the Holy Spirit that enable a complete and correct embrace of divine prophecy, promise, sacred revelation, and the promptings by the imparted, indwelling Spirit.  Believers are not to deceive, harass, intimidate, meddle with, oppress, and threaten disbelievers.  Neither are believers to invite or welcome inappropriate compromises, conflicts, disputes, and quarrels with those entangled by secular knowledge, philosophy, and other systems that lack spirit substance from the makeup of the Creator.  The believers are to be citizens of an eternal kingdom separate from those immersed in the affairs of the flesh and of the world (we say, things carnal, material, and social).  Consider how some of this is stated using language from the Bible:

(1.)  2nd Timothy 2:  3-5, King James Version (KJV):  3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.  4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.  5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

(2.)  1st Timothy 6:  20-21, KJV:  20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:  21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.

(3.)  Galatians 5:  16-23, KJV:  16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.  17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh:  and these are contrary the one to the other:  so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.  18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.  19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,  20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,  21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like:  of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.  22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,  23 Meekness, temperance:  against such there is no law.

(4.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  1st Peter 4:  14-19, KJV:  14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you:  on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.  15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.  16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.  17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God:  and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?  18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?  19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, a reply is shared on the importance of law, judgment, and justice among Christian beliefs.  While atonement, redemption and salvation have overcoming and resisting sin as a major focus, the revelation of GOD through Jesus Christ centers more upon mankind becoming a new creation through the Savior’s blood.  Many now are in an ongoing process of permanent change that will be completed at the Advent (we say, the Rapture, the Second Coming) of Jesus.  Mortality is to no longer exist, and the committed believers will live as immortal, incorruptible companions of divinity.  On the one hand, every aspect of ministry and service to GOD must be understood as being in accordance with divine law.  Included are accountability within congregations, discipline within families, healing, inheritance, miracles, fulfillment of divine promises and prophecy as well as praise, proclamation of the Gospel, and preaching.  On the other hand, instead of being a formal codex or system of questionable demands, law is to be understood as “the force of truth” and the imperative that emerges by operations of the divine Spirit.  Thus, law is to be acknowledged as content from the character, makeup and substance of divinity.  Included are faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  In no way does grace, mercy, and divine prerogative corrupt or oppose the delivery of divine justice.  A writer at “Yahoo! 7 Answers (Australia) using the ID “John” (Level 1 with 1 point, a member since January 08, 2015 ) posted the following:

Is vengeance and punishment an important part of christianity?

(Romans 8:  1-10, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Presumption Is Never Helping (05/23/2016); Justice Not Revenge? (01/15/2015); A Culture of Judgment? (03/20/2014); Beyond Punishment (03/21/2014); A Guarantee of Heaven? (03/22/2014); Lawful Revenge? (01/02/2014); As GOD Loves Us? (01/03/2014)

“John”, throughout the holy writings, the word “vengeance” is used to speak of “justice”.  Mature Christian believers all acknowledge the sovereign authority of GOD—who is the Creator and owner of all that exists—to include administering judgment (we say, assigning value, determining quality, relegating purpose, and maintaining the extent of duration for the living as brief, finite, or eternal).  While divine law conveys the wrath of GOD against sin, it does so in agreement with divine love, promise, righteousness, truth, and wisdom.  Correction (i.e., demonstrations, encouragement, and added instruction to change attitudes,  behavior, and knowledge) and punishment (i.e., penalties and reprimand that may include physical beatings and death) come into view where judgment is also (1) the resolution of conflicts and the settlement of disputes by applying divine law; (2) enforcement of the sanctions in the law (i.e., allowances, boundaries, limits, methods, and restrictions established); and (3) the continuance or restoration of balance, fairness, impartiality, and stability (that may include appeals and further adjudication).  The fullness of law to maintain and provide justice includes admonitions, cautions, and warnings; applying outcomes (e.g., process, sentences, verdicts) from earlier tribunals; commandments; confiscation; licensing; monetary assessments, fines and liens; ordinances and statutes; precepts and principles; registration of boundaries and property lines; removal and separation of violators from the community/prey/victims (e.g., banishment, death, exile, incarceration); as well as returning stolen goods and property.  Such elements as ceremonies, rituals, and traditions that seem to be arbitrary and pertain more to chance often are condemned as irrelevant and nonessential.  However, the character, nature, and substance of the law always is to be received as exalted, for sacred law is also the expressed will of GOD, and is to be a pure revelation of divinity.  Consider how some of this is stated using language from the Bible:

(1.)  Isaiah 5:  20-25, King James Version (KJV):  20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!  21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!  22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:  23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!  24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust:  because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.  25 Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them:  and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

(2.)  Romans 7:  12-15, KJV:  12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.  13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.  14 For we know that the law is spiritual:  but I am carnal, sold under sin.  15 For that which I do I allow not:  for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

(3.)  Romans 7:  21-25, KJV:  21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.  22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:  23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.  24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?  25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

(4.)  Luke 9:  51-56, KJV:  51 And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,  52 And sent messengers before his face:  and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.  53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.  54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?  55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.  56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

(5.)  John 3:  16-21, KJV:  16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.  18 He that believeth on him is not condemned:  but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.  19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.  20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.  21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

There is far more to be said, carefully examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (6.)  Romans 12:  18-20, KJV:  18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.  19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath:  for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.  20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink:  for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
