Today, an eternal revelation by immutable, unchanging divinity is considered that will present diverse manifestations of divine fullness, rather than display changes within the makeup of GOD.  When Christian believers are asked to share sacred knowledge regarding “the world to come,” their responses must go beyond “spiritual basics” and the Gospel.  Thus, we may provide declarations of faith, prophesy, personal testimonies, or even, reports of visions.  Without there being any changes among or within the persons of GODhead, in the world to come, created beings and living creatures should experience movement and shifts in orientation within their consciousness and sense of grasp as their natural response to many of the things that will be displayed and put forth by divinity (for example, the New Jerusalem descending from heaven, the Tree of Life, and that there no longer will be oceans).  It is written, John 3:  11-13, King James Version (KJV):  11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.  12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?  13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.  With these words from the Lord in view, it is not an error for developing believers to seek sacred knowledge regarding “the world to come.”  Even so, all are cautioned not to indulge conjecture, “vain imaginings” (i.e., fantasy; flights of imagination; make-believe; thoughts lacking spirit content from the makeup of GOD), and speculation.  Saints of the kingdom are to practice discernment and be edified continually through discovery, gradual growth, and apprehension by the Holy Spirit (we also say, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth).  A writer at “Yahoo! Is Jesus the same today as He will be tomorrow? why or why not?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:  And before him shall be gathered all nations:  and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:  And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.  Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:  (Matthew 25:  31-34, King James Version, KJV)

“Donald”:

(1.)  Hebrews 6:  1-3, King James Version (KJV):  1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,  2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.  3 And this will we do, if God permit.

In the same way the glory displayed and revealed at his baptism was different from that seen in his transfiguration, when Jesus appears to reap the harvest of the earth (i.e., to remove those “born again” who have “grown up again” and are mature/ripe), he will display the three-fold glory (that of the Father, that of the holy angels, and his own unique glory).  Further, just as his crown(s) and throne(s) are many (e.g., glory, grace, judgment, life, mercy, rest), and there are differences in duties and sovereign authority that do not alter his divinity, covenant relationships, and participation within the GODhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), the joint-heirs with Christ should expect a continuing and eternal revelation of glory marked by diversity, rather than change in “the root” or aspects that are fundamental.

Eternal life will not be stagnant and static, for the watchwords of salvation through Jesus Christ include discovery, faith, gradual growth, “oneness without sameness,” trust and vigilance.  Christian believers may understand that, while Christ ascended before his witnesses displaying flesh and form, he is now making atonement in the heavens as our High Priest within the Sanctuary, the Holiest of Holies, and may manifest using both diffuse spirit as well as human form.  (That material things such as altars, horses, and a city, the New Jerusalem, may appear in heaven is not explained to us.)  Even so, mankind is to exist as a companion to immortal, incorruptible divinity upon the earth, and is now in an ongoing process of transformation that will be completed as the Savior’s believers meet him in the air at his return (we also say, the Advent, the Rapture, the Second Coming).  While few (?)  details regarding our becoming perfected, and the specifics of eternal life are recorded in the holy writings, many patterns and principles appear that permit clear understanding of various possibilities, of the things consistent with our present sacred knowledge, and of “what is likely” given the revealed eternal purposes.

Thus:

(2.)  Hebrews  13:  8, KJV:  8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

(3.)  2nd Corinthians 3:  17-18, KJV:  17 Now the Lord is that Spirit:  and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.  18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

(4.)  Luke 9:  23-26, KJV:  23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.  24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it:  but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.  25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?  26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.

(5.)  2nd Corinthians 4:  3-5, KJV:  3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:  4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.  5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (6.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, points are shared on men and women wearing head coverings in the church.  Prophecy and revelation are not the hiding of truth, rather, they are the open declaration and publishing of sacred truth.  Until the temporary condition would fade away, Moses had to cover the glory that shined from his face after being in the direct presence of GOD, for the sight of him generated alarm, dread, superstition and uncertainty, rather than reassurance, confidence, and joy.  Because the holy writings declare there is free access to divinity for all who acknowledge Jesus Christ as redeemer and Savior (see Colossians 3:  9-11 and Galatians 27-29, King James Version, KJV), many seek to operate as though gender no longer has distinction and meaning before GOD.  They argue that Christ has made it so the blood of menstruation no longer makes women unclean (i.e., unfit fit to serve in priesthood, or participate in worship with others of the congregation).  Even so, it remains males ought not be ordained to fulfill the role of females, who are to carry and give birth to babies, and are saved through childbearing, just as women may not operate as “fathers” without also promoting multiple levels of emotional, psychological, social, and spiritual confusion.  The oneness without sameness spoken of pertains to how relationship and standing are granted to the living as the new creation in Jesus Christ.  One of the many fighters at “Yahoo! Why can’t men wear a veil to Catholic mass like the women?

I have a admiration for the veils some girls will wear for mass.. what would happen if a man showed up wearing one ?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.  For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.  Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:  And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:  But their minds were blinded:  for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.  But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.  Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.  Now the Lord is that Spirit:  and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.  But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.  (2nd Corinthians 3:  10-18, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, increasingly, mature Christian believers rely upon the holy writings for guidance on sacred practice, rather than ceremonies, customs, policies of some finite, human institution, and traditions of men.  The wearing of headgear (e.g., hats, helmets, hoods), generally pertains to blocking and receiving anointing that comes as a copious flow and outpouring from above.  Revelation and prophecy require that men not cover their heads during prayer and while serving as divine spokespersons.  By contrast, in order to be recognizable to the holy angels as having “power” on their heads, women are to cover themselves, and acknowledge the coverings provided by men and by GOD.

Many encounter spiritual confusion, here, because the meaning, quality, and value of these things are not merely carnal, material, secular, and social.  For both males and females, the head covering may be seen as a badge or emblem indicting authority, ownership, and sovereignty.  Thus, we say, a woman’s covering may not be simply her hair; and she should be adorned with a crown (diadem, miter, tiara, turban) that represents the beauty, glory, and love of her Creator, not her own.

The nature of revelation and prophecy are to be understood as the proclamation and presentation of things formerly hidden and secret that now are to come into view through divine endowments, covenant relationship, discovery, and sacred knowledge provided by operations of the imparted, indwelling Spirit of GOD.  GOD is a spirit, and to apprehend this, the living must begin with a focus on the Incarnation (we also say, embodiment) of the GODhead and their aspects of divine makeup, person, and active presence.  Consider again the following from the Bible:

(1.)  Hebrews 2:  6-11, King James Version (KJV):  6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest him?  7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:  8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.  9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.  10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.  11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one:  for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

(2.)  1st Timothy 6:  12-16, KJV:  12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.  13 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;  14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:  15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;  16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see:  to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

(3.)  Psalms 103:  1-9, KJV:  1 Bless the LORD, O my soul:  and all that is within me, bless his holy name.  2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:  3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;  4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;  5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.  6 The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.  7 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.  8 The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.  9 He will not always chide:  neither will he keep his anger for ever.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Revelation 2:  9-11, KJV:  9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.  10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer:  behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days:  be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.  11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, focus is on “extreme” divine demands and language that appear within the Bible.  While the Scriptures proclaim the love of our Creator they also must express censure, reprimand, and wrath against sin.  “New wine” must be placed in “new bottles.”  The transformation of mankind to exist without sin as a companion to immortal, incorruptible divinity requires permanent changes in the makeup of all created beings and living creatures as well as the entire universe (heaven, earth, and all that will exist).  The Bible records the revelation from GOD provided to explain, instruct, and prepare mankind for the necessary sacred operations that now are occurring and will be completed at their appointed time.  Along with the serious themes of covenant relationship, death, decay, and destruction aspects for the new creation are shared such as admonition, comfort, oneness without sameness, promises, prophecy, and warning.  Also included are atonement, adoption of the Spirit, Incarnation, inheritance, Judgment, rebirth, resurrection of the dead, sanctification, and the second death.  One of the many fighters at “Yahoo! Is Luke 14:26 considered an extravagant statement that’s not intended to be taken rationally?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And there went great multitudes with him:  and he turned, and said unto them,  If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.  And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.  (Luke 14:  25-27, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, many statements appear in the Scriptures that may seem “extreme” and startling; however, the rule, “no cross, no crown” (i.e., that every Christian believer must suffer with Christ) is basic and nonnegotiable.  When sinners first begin to read the Bible, their spirit content from GOD is not properly prepared to acknowledge the full spectrum of godliness, sacred knowledge and  spirit truth that are being shared.  The simple, yet, profound process of becoming a Christian believer is one wherein a person’s consciousness and self-will that are directed to things carnal, material, secular, and social will be redirected and gradually built up to consistently discern and respond to the active presence who is GOD.  Even after water baptism, that depicts the death, burial and resurrection of their inborn spirit, born-again sinners must “grow up again” and become mature by regular fellowship with other believers, practice of sacraments, praise, prayer, sacrifice, sharing, study of the holy writings, suffering, unselfish service, and more.  Consider again the following points of instruction:

(1.)  2nd Timothy 3:  16-17, King James Version (KJV):  16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

(2.)  Matthew 12:  50, KJV:  50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

(3.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

(4.)  Hebrews 12:  7-9, KJV:  7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?  8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.  9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence:  shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  Revelation 21:  7-8, KJV:  7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.  8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:  which is the second death.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Fitness of the cross as a symbol to represent Christian belief is the topic, today.  The cross is never worshiped or held to be an object containing divine substance, and acting a living entity (we say, an idol).  Among the many symbols used to identify Christian gatherings and materials (e.g., a fish; ashes from Palm Sunday leaves; praying hands; the anchor; the crown of thorns; the empty tomb) the cross is probably the one most immediately recognized by those outside of the church as the household of faith.  Because Jesus living and dying upon the cross is a scene depicting divine judgment, his disciples and followers are to recognize the cross as an altar of sacrifice, and the Savior as their substitute made subject to the second death.  Believers are saved by the works of Jesus, not by their own acts, deeds and efforts.  More than this, given divine judgment is the permanent resolution of conflict and the settlement of disputes through sacred law, judgment is always a blessing; and its outcomes are correction, joy, and peace, rather than agony, misery and punishment.  For those outside the law and covenants that established the Jews as a people of GOD, the cross also creates access and a door for those relying upon GOD for grace and coming to Christ through faith.  Consider the following Scriptures and the presentation below:

1st Corinthians 1:  18, King James Version (KJV):  18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Ephesians 2:  8-9, KJ V:  8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

1st Corinthians 15:  55-57, KJV:  55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?  56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.  57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 51:  5-8, KJV:  5 My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.  6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath:  for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner:  but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.  7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.  8 For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool:  but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.

Christians, why do you think Christianity is represented by the cross?

(Answers from christians only please! Atheist and former Christian answers will be ignored, and if need be, reported).

Why do you think our religion is represented by the cross? The very thing which Jesus was nailed to, and the instrument of crucifixion. Do you think it’s simply because it represents the human body?

Do you think it should be represented by something different? Something that is tied mroe strongly towards what we believe in?

In my opinion, we should not be represented by an instrument of slow and painful death. Because if that’s the case, we might as well represent some countries with the major problems they face, rather than their flags.

What do you think? Let me know by elaborating and explaining your reasoning as much as you can.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;  That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:  But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.  For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;  Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;  And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:  And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.  For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.  Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;  And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;  In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:  In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.  (Ephesians 2:  11-22, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Meaning not the Object (05/26/2015); Believers and the Cross (06/24/2013); A Relationship not Just Knowledge? (06/25/2013); Signs of Messianic Belief? (12/16/2012); Vows and Covenants? (12/17/2012); On Religious Items (08/29/2012); On Cults (08/30/2012)

“Denisowator”, through operations of the Holy Spirit, blood and truth from the cross are flowing despite time and space to here and now.  Mature Christian believers accept the death of Jesus Christ upon the cross as a fulfillment of specific divine operations in the earth to establish eternal purposes; a sacred event orchestrated by divinity; a “prophetic demonstration” (actions instead of words to convey a message from GOD); and a sign from GOD (i.e., a natural event to indicate that prophecy is authentic, truly from GOD, and is certain to be carried out and completed by divinity).  Continually acknowledging the cross has come to be an act of faith, an acknowledgment of blessings (gifts), and a way of life celebrating the Lord’s  victory over multiple unseen enemies of mankind such as death, inner conflicts, separation, sin, and wickedness.  The cross serves as a beacon to rally believers for spiritual combat, commitment, and unselfish service.  While the promises of GOD through Jesus Christ include immortality, incorruption, installation as priests and kings, a new heaven, and a new earth, the cross declares every believer also must pass through affliction, persecution, and suffering (we say, No cross, no crown!).  Consider again how this is stated using language from the Bible:

(1.)  Matthew 5:  10-12, King James Version (KJV):  10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake:  for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.  12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad:  for great is your reward in heaven:  for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

(2.)  2nd Timothy 3:  12, KJV:  12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

(3.)  Matthew 13:  54-58, KJV:  54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?  55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?  56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?  57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.  58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

There is far more to be said, understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Revelation 5:  9-12, KJV:  9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof:  for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;  10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests:  and we shall reign on the earth.  11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders:  and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;  12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is made to a question about gold existing in heaven, and whether heaven is real.  In addition to a fresh endowment of spirit substance from the makeup of divinity such as faith, holiness, wisdom, and wrath against sin, believers in Christ also must develop discernment (ability to use ones own spirit matter as a standard to recognize and respond to the sacred content in events, other persons, Scriptures, etc.), and increasingly practice meekness (humility and the ability to accept instruction, testimony, or witness from operations of the Holy Spirit, or from clergy and other believers).  Where questions arise regarding any of the information shared during a meeting (e.g., announcements, doctrines, proclamations, sermons, or even casual and offhand remarks) members are to apply the means and practices provided by GOD that include dialog with other believers (particularly, the one who was the original source of what is being shared), prayer, reflection, translation, and careful study of the holy writings.  Trust also is fostered by believers knowing that what is spoken before a congregation is often utterance guided by the Holy Spirit (we also say, the Comforter, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth).  All who serve as prophets, spokespersons, and those sent in the name of divinity are in the ongoing process of divine judgment, and must speak truth only.  More than simply those who make a mistake, perjure themselves, or sin through ignorance, false prophets and liars are condemned as blasphemers against the Holy Spirit, who will never be granted divine forgiveness.  The fighter at “Yahoo! THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.  Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?  Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.  Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.  But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.  This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.  For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.  And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.  (James 3:  10-18, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  How Do You Know? (02/25/2015); GOD Is A Spirit? (12/17/2014); The Storm-battered City? (03/29/2014); All Lying Forbidden? (03/04/2014); Wrong Not to Forgive? “Anonymous”, Christian believers must hold to understandings that emerge as sacred knowledge and divine revelation.  Believers are to carefully examine what is said to them by clergy and others against the holy writings.  Thus, consider the following:

(1.)  John 3:  11-13 King James Version (KJV):  Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.  If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?  And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

(2.)  John 14:  1-3 (KJV):  Let not your heart be troubled:  ye believe in God, believe also in me.  In my Father’s house are many mansions:  if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

(3.)  Romans 1:  16-21 (KJV):  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:  for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:  as it is written, The just shall live by faith.  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;  Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

(4.)  1st John 5:  9-11 (KJV):  If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater:  for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.  He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself:  he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.  And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

There is far more to be plainly said, correctly understood, and to get a proper grip upon.  (For example, (5.)  The idea of material things in the highest place of spirit beings (angels, sacred beasts, immortal Deity) is as difficult as the teachings about Jesus remaining incarnate (having a body of flesh and bone) and serving as High Priest within the Temple Sanctuary of Heaven.  Believers absolutely must trust that nothing is impossible for GOD.  Thus, as we continue to “grow again” (once born again), we accept that the streets of gold appear within the city, the New Jerusalem, that is to be placed upon the earth.  Nor do we doubt that the sea of glass, the tree of life, and the crowns cast away by the twenty four elders are physical and real.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Accuracy of the Scriptures, conviction, faith, and spiritual knowledge are topics, today.  Also, there is more on adornment, church attendance, and men removing their hats in respect to GOD.  The “Yahoo! Why would anyone choose to use a bible that isn’t accurate?

How can anybody use a bible that adds writings to it that are not from the holy scriptures? How can anybody use a bible that adds some books to it from the apocrypha but does not even include all the books from the apocrypha? How can people use a bible that includes gods name Jehovah in some verses but does not include the name Jehovah to all the verses where the name belongs?

Here are some writings I know of added to most bibles that are not part of the scriptures.

—–Verses added—–

Matthew:17:21
Matthew:18:11
Matthew:23:14
Mark:7:16
Mark:9:44
Mark:9:46
Mark:11:26
Mark:15:28
Mark:16:9-20
Luke:17:36
Luke:23:17
John:5:4
John:7:53-8:11
Acts:8:37
Acts:15:34
Acts:24:7
Acts:28:29
Romans:16:24

The only bible I know of that does not add any of these writings and includes gods name where it belongs and brings the original meaning of the Hebrew/Aramaic and Greek scriptures is the new world translation of the holy scriptures.

THE BATTLE AXE:  Should Men Take Their Hats Off (05/15/2014)—(5.)  For many, wearing a hat in church is an issue centered in ideas about gender equality and social justice, rather than upon reverence and right respect to GOD, or agreement and unity with the congregation of worshipers.  Therefore, attitudes, behavior, defiance, misconduct, pride, respect, and selfishness are foremost in their considerations.  Yet, just as there are warnings against the crown of pride, there are various expressions throughout the holy writings that speak to the idea of “power on ones head.”  Included are the crown of anointing oil, a crown of glory, the crown of life, the crown of rejoicing, the  crown of righteousness, the crown of thorns, and the crown of twelve stars.  Commanded to don the whole armor of GOD, believers are to continually wear, and never remove, aspects of divinity visible only to GOD such as the helmet of salvation.  Power on ones head is especially seen through the mark of GOD, a seal upon ones forehead indicating divine authority, ownership, and a sacred, personal bond as joint-heir with Christ.  Persons who appear to be worthless to the church because of their outward appearance nevertheless should be respected and treated as having unseen accomplishments and victories in Christ.  Men are further cautioned against judging, and jumping to conclusions on the basis of appearances, for women who appear to be uncovered often are wearing hair pieces and wigs.  The use of the prayer shawl among modern Christians and Messianic Jews allows one to create a closet and secret chamber for prayer (we say, tabernacle).

(6.)  Church attendance has become a matter of self-expression for many believers.  The broad range of motives for church-going now includes such interests as amusement and entertainment, family bonding and home management, meet-and-greet for singles, self-discovery and self-improvement as well as re-socialization of those from prison, substance abuse therapy and treatment.  Many miss the fact that church attendance is vital to properly realizing the corporate nature of mankind in relationship to GOD.   The church is to be understood as a unique body containing life called into existence by GOD, and having many different members that function in various ways to accomplish many diverse purposes.  The needs of the whole body as a single unit must be ones focus, rather than the needs of the self.  Just as in marriage, neither the husband nor the wife may claim greater importance than their partner, and their considerations must always put their union first (not the children, not the self), believers are to make commitment wherein the spiritual needs of the congregation and others are put ahead of ones personal needs.  Several of the most difficult aspects of Christ as a model for created beings and living creatures must come into practice:  doing ones duty (correctly completing things that absolutely must be done—like it, don’t like it), humility (acknowledgment of authority, duty performed and required from others, hierarchy, and showing respect to others), and sacrifice (damage or loss willingly endured to display commitment, respect, and submission; something of value destroyed in order to turn away divine wrath, to express reverence, or petition for lenience).  Those controlled and dominated by appetite, feelings and intellect rarely experience the church as a sanctuary, a place of divine presence.  In ignorance, they behave as if at home, or out on the streets.  However, once born again, all are entered into a process of growth and transformation.  Every mature believer will operate with the motive of pleasing GOD and honoring Christ.  Their willingness to serve within the household of GOD will be displayed both in what they do, and in what they abstain from doing.  See John 7:  24, James 2:  1-13, 1st Samuel 16:  1-14, Mark 11:  15-17, Romans 12:  1-21, 1st Corinthians 12:  1-31, 2nd Timothy 4:  8, Hebrews 10:  19-29 and Ephesians 6:  10-18, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.  He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame:  and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.  Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee:  rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.  Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser:  teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom:  and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.  For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.  (Proverbs 9:  6-11, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  A “Good” Verse? (05/09/2014); What GOD Demands (05/10/2014); Bible and Spirit (04/26/2014); Personality? (04/27/2014); The Nature of Scripture (03/27/2014); Divine Sleep (03/28/2014); Reading Only The Red Part (11/19/2012); According to the Eternal Purpose (11/20/2012)

“sky”, many mature Christian believers now choose to use several different copies and versions of the Bible all at the same time during their studies along with commentaries, and other source materials.  For such believers, there are no issues regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fluency of their translations and supplements.  Conviction is not by “the letter,” and on the basis of what appears on a page.  Rather, ones endowment of the Holy Spirit determines what a reader will take away as continuing the ministry of Jesus Christ.

Through their baptism (death of ones inborn spirit, rebirth from divine DNA, so to speak), a person receives aspects of the same spirit matter that operated in the creation of the universe, and that resided in Jesus Christ as an incarnation of GOD.   Those who are born again must learn and “grow up” again by continuing to meet life challenges in the earth.  In addition to spiritual knowledge, and new skills that come by observance of sacred practices (we say, sacraments), believers must develop discernment, a form of divine judgment wherein ones own spirit matter is applied as the standard to recognize the spirit content within events, experiences, objects, operations, other persons, purposes, things spoken, and utterance.

There is a lot more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, in presumption and pride, many respond to the holy writings using only emotion, imagination, intellect, logic, reason, and “science,” finite gifts among created beings, and living creatures.  The inseparable aspects of divinity now available through Jesus (such as faith, forbearance, holiness, joy, longsuffering, love, wisdom, and wrath against sin) are ignored, improperly exercised, neglected, and overlooked.).  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your meekness and faith.

For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.  But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.  For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,  (1st Thessalonians 5:  7-9, KJV)

The humiliation (some say, the Passion) of Jesus before his crucifixion, Pontius Pilate, and the crown of thorns are in view, today.  Also, there is more on GOD everywhere.  A “Yahoo! Why was Jesus scourged before crucifixion?

Was it roman tradition to torture people before executing them or did they do it specifically because he was Jesus. Also was the crown of thorns also a roman tradition for some kind of wreath crown.

THE BATTLE AXE:  GOD Everywhere? (04/04/2014)—(6.)  Our human dependence upon the frameworks of time and space require peculiar structures to organize the data within our consciousness, and to apply the elements of our shared experience as communication.  Included are congruence, continuum, dimension (e.g., breadth, depth, height, length, weight), distance, inclination, juxtaposition, location, measure, orientation, polarity, and quantity.  Even our simple expressions that place heaven above, and earth below, are elements within a comprehensive system intended for management of material and physical substance.  Awareness of spirit matter and life essence are only generated by divinity.  The finite human mind does not naturally project and maintain an idea of mankind’s existing without boundaries and limitations that are generated and imposed by ones context (we say, ones environment, or sphere of existence), by introspection (i.e., examination of ones own feelings and thoughts), as well as by contact and interaction with objects having various characteristics, or with other life forms and sentient beings (we say, collective, communal, and social exchange).  A clear understanding of eternal duration, divine purpose, and sacred (yet, nonmaterial) substance is required to correctly and fully grasp the things of GOD that are now being revealed to us through the ministry of Jesus as our Redeemer and Risen Lord.  Mankind was created to be a “life companion” with GOD.  To undo the damage that has been caused through sin—and to make possible for mankind the millennial reign within heaven as an extended appearance or visitation with Christ Incarnate—the children of Adam must be transformed to continue as immortal, incorruptible, perfected, and sanctified.  Consider then:  1st Corinthians 15:  52-54, Romans 2:  3-13, 1st Timothy 6:  12-16, 2nd Timothy 1:  7-10, 1st John 4:  1-19 and Revelation 20:  1-10, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.  And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,  And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands.  Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him.  Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!  When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him:  for I find no fault in him.  The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.  When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid;  And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.  Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee?  Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above:  therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.  And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him:  but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar’s friend:  whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar.  When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.  And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour:  and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!  But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.  Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.  And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:  Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.  And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.  (John 19:  1-19, KJV)

“Steven”, here are some points I may share from my studies of the holy writings, and my faith as a Christian believer:

(1.)  The authority of the Roman empire was represented by Pontius Pilate; and Rome ruled the then-known-world.  Those nations not directly under Rome were still required to accept Roman conventions and customs for their prosperity, trade, and survival.  Herod was king at the discretion of Rome to further appease and quiet the region.  However, the true power was invested in Pilate.

(2.)  As governor, and the highest ranking authority of the province, the decisions for capital punishment (the death sentence) could only be made with Pilate’s approval.

(3.)  To Pilate, the charges made by the Sanhedrin on behalf of the Jewish people appeared based on arbitrary and arguable religious beliefs.  More than this, he could see there was bias, lack of material evidence, and malice.  The charges (blasphemy, insurrection, and treason) were, at best, political and unfounded, while at their worst, sparked by envy and murderous.

(4.)  When Pilate could not use the mechanism of annual pardon during a feast event for the release of Jesus, he tried to satisfy the ugly crowds and their leaders by having Jesus mocked and whipped.  He believed a harsh punishment, humiliation, and stern warnings would be enough to discourage any more public appearances for Jesus.  He turned Jesus over to his personal guard, men who were all veteran soldiers that had jeopardized their lives for him, and were all highly favored and trusted.

(5.)  The “bully boys” went to work mocking Jesus for the claim of kingship.  Where a crown of green laurel leaves would be bestowed to a champion in victory, or a conqueror in their triumph at Rome following a parade of heroic display and pomp, Jesus was to be crowned with a wreath of dead thorns.  Like the gambling for his robe, their physical abuse of Jesus was spontaneous, unrestrained, and (from the view of the Guard) no less than they would be given by Pilate.

There is a lot more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (6.)  Pilate was given no formal, reliable and written reports of the ministry Jesus had established over the course of 3½ years.  For many of the Jewish authorities, ignorance, lack of knowledge, and lack of direct experience (we say, eyewitness) suppressed their correctly describing the systematic doctrines and teachings of Jesus along with skepticism and unbelief that further blocked their acknowledgment of the healings, exorcisms, and miracles.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to the measure of divine faith that resides in you.

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.  Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.   (Hebrews 12:  3-4, KJV)
