Today, topics include denominations, differences, and diversity within the household of GOD.  Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, Pentecostal, Methodist, Presbyterian:  there is a long list of names showing institutions who claim the Child that was born.  By the birth of Jesus, multiple streams of eternal purpose were combined and directed to continue in accord.  A child was born to remove enmity and separation between the Gentiles and the Jews, and a new access to the Father would be granted through his blood.  A new creation, the church, would emerge having one faith, one Lord, one baptism, one God and Father of all.  The authority as High Priest, Judge, Redeemer, and King continues to belong to the Son of the Highest.  Yet, the necessary acknowledgment of those who now also are children of GOD and joint-heirs with Christ may be completed only by the Father and the Holy Spirit.  A fighter at “Yahoo! God is not a God of confusion. So with the soo many Protestant sects disagreeing with each other, doesn’t this mean Protestantism is false?

1 Corinthians 14:33

33 For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.

As in all the churches of the saints,

What say ye?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;  That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:  But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.  For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;  Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;  And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:  And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.  For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.  Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;  And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;  In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:  In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.  (Ephesians 2:  11-22, King James Version, KJV)

“Cato”, the existence of many denominations within the full household of GOD does not violate the “rule” of oneness without sameness that exists within the GODhead, and is little different from a father having many sons who are not the same age, do not share the same interests, and do not show the same willingness to do chores around the house.  Most mature Christian believers agree that divinity has appeared in flesh upon the earth as an answer to the many conflicts and questions that continually plague the living.  The aspects of revelation accomplished through the birth of Jesus Christ clarified, fulfilled, and also concluded various sacred covenants, proclamations, promises, and prophecies.  Even so, created beings and living creatures are not equipped to correctly recognize and respond to revealed truth from GOD until they receive a fresh endowment of spirit substance from the makeup of GOD.  Saying this another way, sinners must be born again; and once born again, believers must “grow up again” and mature by meeting life challenges upon the earth.  Diversity appears as an important device that is seen throughout Creation and among believers.  Without appearing in flesh (first as Jesus Christ, then, as his followers), divinity may only be known in relationship as immortal, immutable, invisible, and unchanging.  Through a human aspect, Jesus, the Son of Man, the Son of GOD, divine judgment is shown to center upon atonement, correction, forbearance, forgiveness, mercy, reconciliation, redemption, righteousness, and salvation.  Ethnicity, nationality, race, financial status, etc. are all “vain” (lack sacred substance).  Only GOD may make the necessary judgments of those who will be acknowledged as his offspring and heirs.  Thus, true believers will all patiently await the return of Jesus (we say, Advent, the harvest, the Rapture, the Second Coming, his appearing), and also practice restraint concerning condemnation, conflict, and differences.

Today, definitions of “evil”, and the enmity between flesh and spirit are considered.  Created beings and living creatures are required by GOD to express and manage their own measure of life essence (we say, breath, spirit, word).  While sinners take the focus of divine judgment to be discrete episodes, process, and events within the frameworks of time and space, for divinity Judgment concentrates upon the enduring and lasting aspects of ones full makeup and substance from GOD.  A fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Dead Mans Curve” (Level 7 with 261,115 points, a member since March 02, 2006) posted the following:

What is so evil about the flesh?

I don’t understand why the flesh is so evil?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.  For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  (Romans 8:  1-4, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Need for Incarnation? (09/29/2016); Must GOD Hate Sinners? (09/01/2016); The Flesh An Obstacle? (07/29/2016); Evil Is Not Sin and Wickedness? (12/09/2014); Divine Goodness? (12/10/2014); GOD Permits Evil? (05/12/2014); Why the Gospel for Our Children (05/13/2014)

“Dead Mans Curve”, mature Christian believers use a sacred vocabulary that also defines “evil” as change brought about by men that is arbitrary, destructive, pointless, sudden and unnecessary as well as sacred events that express divine judgment and wrath against sin by using widespread calamity, catastrophe, disaster, and upheaval (we say, condemnation, disfavor, plague, punishment).  GOD, who is spirit in form, nature and substance, is immortal,  immutable, incorruptible, and unchanging.  The Creator puts forth (we say, “creates”) both evil and peace (i.e., the condition of balance, completeness, continuity, rest, stability) for the further revelation of divinity (i.e., making divine authority, sacred law, and the will of GOD knowable and known).  Carnal being (we say, the flesh) operates using process that is material and mechanical, and that may be described as temporal units (e.g., cycles, phases, and stages).   With this in view, evil and wickedness are not the same.  Sin is an immaterial and unseen influence that opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and all divine order from law.  Sin generates and promotes chaos, nonexistence, and returning to the conditions that were in place before Creation was begun.  Sin may be a residue from preexistence, and has not been created by GOD; yet, sin may dominate awareness and self-will in the living.  Ordinarily, the flesh appears as appetite (e.g., hunger, thirst, craving for sexual activity), sensation (e.g., hearing, seeing, tasting, touching) and emotion/mental functions (e.g., anger, fear, imagination, recall, thought).  Like sin, the flesh does not automatically agree and perform according to dictates and principles of divine law.  Until destroyed in death, the flesh opposes and resists the spirit of GOD that resides within the law.  Consider the following points from the holy writings:

(1.)  Isaiah 45:  5-8, King James Version (KJV):  5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me:  I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:  6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.  7 I form the light, and create darkness:  I make peace, and create evil:  I the LORD do all these things.  8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness:  let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.

(2.)  Proverbs 8:  13, KJV:  13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil:  pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

(3.)  Proverbs 24:  19-22, KJV:  19 Fret not thyself because of evil men, neither be thou envious at the wicked:  20 For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out.  21 My son, fear thou the LORD and the king:  and meddle not with them that are given to change:  22 For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Scripture points intended for priests, kings, and the sons and daughters of GOD through Jesus Christ are shared, today, to show why lust is condemned in the Bible.  Existence, life essence (we say, breath, spirit, word), and sacred knowledge appear only through operations of divinity.  It does not offend GOD that humankind requires correct knowledge and healthy understanding of a physical body that must endure aging, cleansing, dying, growing, maturing, sexual-joining, and reproducing.  As a mechanical aspect of the living, appetite should become focused and regularly express restraint through discipline, practice and training.  (For example, when we hunger, we can not remove the discomfort to our flesh by simply exercising imagination, logic, reason, and thought.  There must be observable movement in space to obtain and take in food.  More than this, one must be careful to avoid eating what is dangerous and poisonous.)  Where covetousness, carnal knowledge, and lust dominate awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures their consciousness of divine law, sacred duty, eternal purpose, and their own status as heirs and offspring of GOD may be forgotten and suppressed.  What we might call the “appetite” and cravings by human flesh, our physical organs, and the four basic types of tissue (connective, epidermal, muscle, nerve) include chemical balance (called equilibrium or homeostasis), controlled motion, moisture, oxygen, rest, and refreshment.  The activities that appear through and within our emotional and intellectual faculties (we say, heart and mind) that also are regarded as forms of “appetite” include attraction, desire, fantasy, fervor, fixations, infatuation, longings, and passion.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information) posted the following:

Why is lust condemned in the Bible?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:  that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.  For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:  Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.  For he that is dead is freed from sin.  Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:  Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.  For in that he died, he died unto sin once:  but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.  Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.  Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin:  but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.  For sin shall not have dominion over you:  for ye are not under the law, but under grace.  (Romans 6:  3-14, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, Consider again the counsel for the sons and daughters of GOD recorded in the Bible:

(1.)  James 4:  1-6, King James Version (KJV):  1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?  2 Ye lust, and have not:  ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain:  ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.  3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.  4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.  5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?  6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

(2.)  Galatians 5:  16-24, KJV:  16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.  17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh:  and these are contrary the one to the other:  so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.  18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.  19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,  20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,  21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like:  of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.  22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,  23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.  24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

(3.)  1st John 2:  15-17, KJV:  15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.  17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof:  but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

There is far more to be said, carefully examined, and spiritually understood.

Some points regarding hostility against the message of the Gospel are shared, today.  A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Jimmie” (Level 3 with 2,151 points, a member May 11, 2013) posted the following:

Do you think it’s sad how some people become hostile to the message of the gospel, that has saved so many?

And continues to save many, even today? I dont get why people reject the important message it holds, and the lessons on love, humbleness, peace, by being angry and negative about it?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  He came unto his own, and his own received him not.  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  (John 1:  10-13, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Another Gospel? (10/19/2013); A Visit from an Angel? (10/20/2013); The Limit to Believing? (09/16/2013); All Things Possible? (09/17/2013); A Relationship not Just Knowledge? “Jimmie”, here are a few difficult points to consider that nonetheless are correct for Christian believers:

(1.)  All men have not faith (2nd Thessalonians 3:  2, KJV).  The Gospel is sacred substance that is to be joined with the spirit content of created beings and living creatures.  Truth from GOD may only be received by those who have prepared themselves through such features as dutifulness, expectation (we say, hope), obedience, sacrifice, and submission.

(2.)  When Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart (Exodus 8:  15, KJV).  Hardness of heart is an operation of the Spirit from GOD, however, not by acting on, forcing, or manipulating a person’s feelings and thoughts.  Rather, the Holy Spirit acknowledges their enmity against GOD as irreversible without first ending their mortality, or by continued widespread death and destruction.  The Spirit may not righteously disregard or ignore persistent defiance of divine law, rejection of divine counsel, or denial of divine love.  The Spirit is obligated to abandon and make no further appeals where the minds and hearts of created beings and living creatures only invite being sealed against divinity.  Without the “pressure” of judgment, punishment, and divine wrath against sin, many will not embrace what are, in fact, the difficult works of confession, repentance, and truth.  Sinners do no leave their “comfort zone” of arrogance, ignorance, selfish pleasure, and separation from GOD.

(3.)  But they have not all obeyed the gospel (Romans 10:  16, KJV).  To obey is to put aside ones own will to carry out or perform the will of another.  Thus, to obey is one of the most powerful ways of demonstrating love, the willingness to add value, and to unselfishly provide benefit to another.  Those who lack balance, poise, and stability (we say, maturity), and those who do not have a clear grasp of their own abilities, desires, and place in relationships usually also lack the awareness and strength necessary for love of Christ, and obedience to the Gospel.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  The carnal mind is not subject to the law of God (Romans 8:  7, KJV).  Human makeup (we say, the flesh) is designed to function in accordance with material and physical processes that are mechanical in their nature such as appetite, sensation, and mind.  Just like hunger, thirst, and sexual cravings cannot be eliminated by logic, reason and science, sin can not be overcome except through operations of the Spirit from GOD.  Sin may dominate awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures, yet, can not control the will of GOD.  The added endowment of Spirit supplied through the Gospel enables believers to correctly resist sin, and to continuously seek the perfection coming forth from GOD.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.  Jesus is coming soon.  Grow in grace.
