Today, focus is on the divine endowments, possibilities, and sacred substance of mankind.  Understanding that the operations of sin may have rule over created beings and living creatures by dominating their awareness and self-will many are quick to repeat the condemnations of flesh that appear in the Bible:  “The soul that sinneth must die.”  Yet, there are divine provisions for the recovery of Creation that include forbearance, forgiveness, repentance, resurrection, and sanctification.  The followers of Jesus Christ are encouraged to grasp that humanity is a “special blend” of things carnal, material and temporal joined with things divine, immaterial, and eternal.  Mankind has potential to express an animal, human, or divine nature; and often displays all three at once.  Even so, as vessels of sacred content from the makeup of Deity, men and women may have place as the children of GOD, and joint-heirs with Jesus Christ.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information appears) posted the following:

All our science. All our hopes our dreams are foolish! In the face of this, we are dust, nothing more.?

Unto this dust, we return. When he chooses for us to die, it is not our place to challenge God.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer:  behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days:  be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.  (Revelation 2:  10-11, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Existence, Mortality and GOD? (08/31/2017); Becoming Free From Sin (07/16/2017); Simply Modules of Clay? (06/25/2017); Reflections on Existence (12/19/2016); Fearfully and Wonderfully Made (09/07/2016); The Flesh An Obstacle? (07/29/2016); Not Through Human Will? (01/29/2016)

“Anonymous”, eternal life begins among Christian believers while they are alive on the earth.  Mortal men will continue to die, yet, through the ministry of Jesus Christ, mankind has been given many encouragements from GOD to overcome condemnation, guilt, shame, and fear of death.  At the coming of Jesus Christ to harvest his believers from the earth (we say, the Advent, the Rapture, the Second Coming) their transformation to exist as immortal and incorruptible companions of divinity will be completed.  It is a common and widespread error among us here on the earth to think and speak as if death has greater authority and power than divinity.  The correction sinners must receive to escape the pattern and understanding that exalts death is so all-inclusive that GOD has been teaching us to say, You must be born again!  The problem is more than simply lack of correct information, lack of intellectual skills and tools to analyze and evaluate life experience, a lack of materials that increase sacred knowledge, or lack of personal discipline and self-control.  The need is for a fresh deposit of the same spirit content from the makeup of GOD that resides within the person of Jesus Christ.  Inseparable aspects of divinity are included such as faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Carnal reason, science, and secular knowledge are important for our survival on the earth; however, those finite tools do not maintain and strengthen the necessary focus for our correctly valuing the flesh and being in a more nourishing relationship with our Creator.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Romans 8:  1-5, King James Version (KJV):  1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.  3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:  4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

(2.)  2nd Timothy 1:  7-10, KJV:  7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner:  but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;  9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,  10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

(3.)  Romans 5:  17-21, KJV:  17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)  18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.  19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.  20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:  21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

(4.)  1st Corinthians 2:  12-16, KJV:  12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.  13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:  for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.  15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.  16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  1st Thessalonians 4:  14-18, KJV:  14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.  15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:  and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:  and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, topics include the response of Jesus to Judas, discerning divine operations, and realizing the active presence who is GOD.  Reply is made to a person boasting that he is an atheist and an imposter who deceives Christian believers.  Those who insist on foolishness and being playful in response to the Gospel do so risking the loss of their salvation from GOD.  For thereby they trod under foot the Son of God, count the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and do despite unto the Spirit of grace.  Through the Holy Spirit, believers are granted discernment to correctly respond to divinity, acknowledge and return genuine love, protect one another from fraud, and to shun iniquity and ungodliness.  Even so, judgment within the body of Christ is to be limited, and aims to avoid pronouncing perdition, and utter condemnation.  Authority to seal and make final determinations of sacred value (and its absence) for individuals, and various events are reserved and exclusive to divinity.  The faithful are instructed that all have sinned and come short,” yet, are cautioned to “judge nothing before the time,” and realize we are in a period of grace.  A person denying the Lord today may become changed in an instant to be a new creation.  When you see them tomorrow, or a few days from now, they may have had their own personal experience of salvation through Christ.  More than this, even where they deny the Lord now, they are no less divine instruments and tools to accomplish eternal purpose.  Jesus and the other apostles accepted the presence of Judas of Iscariot for some three years before the agent of Satan betrayed the Savior with a kiss.  During those years, his acceptance by the Lord was never because Jesus had been “fooled” or tricked regarding the man’s motives and true nature.  Con artists, deceivers, agents of the devil, and “flimflam” men seek to exploit human error, weaknesses, and wickedness in others thinking themselves specially skilled and superior.  Thus, their downfall and exposure usually come through hubris and their own exaggerated pride.  That others make no complaint or push the disbeliever away can be attributed to compassion, correct focus on the coming of Christ to harvest the earth, the greater maturity of believers, and that others do recognize the offender’s desperate need for ministry from a friend who is truly in Christ.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers (Malaysia)” using the ID “Kristophoros” (Level 2 with 284 points, a member since October 14, 2014) posted the following:

If Christians have a Holy Spirit, why can’t they tell that I’m kidding when I say I’m a Christian?

All I have to do is quote some scripture, praise Jesus, and they don’t have a clue I’m an atheist. Where is the Holy Spirit? I even had a Christian say they could feel the Holy Spirit flowing from me!

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.  Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.  But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment:  yea, I judge not mine own self.  For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified:  but he that judgeth me is the Lord.  Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts:  and then shall every man have praise of God.  (1st Corinthians 4:  1-5, King James Version (KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Called, Justified, and Glorified? (01/08/2017); Knowing GOD and Sin? (02/03/2017); Waiting For His Appearing (02/09/2016); Answer a Fool? “Kristophoros”, correctly understood, the “good fight of faith” is not one to condemn sinners so much as it is to bestow the love of GOD upon them.  In addition to wrath against sin, the operations of GOD to maintain and reinforce divine order, eternal life, and the sovereign will of Deity are to be recognized through the appearance of such inseparable spirit content as balance, forbearance, forgiveness, humility, longsuffering, lovingkindness, maturity, meekness, patience, respect, restraint, and sobriety.  Every born-again Christian believer must accept permanent changes in their own character and makeup that only result from operations of the imparted, indwelling Spirit of GOD.  A reborn sinner must “grow up again” by acquiring sacred knowledge through fellowship, praise, prayer, service, study and worship; by completing sacred assignments and duties; by enduring “growing pains” that may include oppression, persecution, and suffering as well as by enduring and overcoming multiple temptations, thrusts and trials from those outside of Christ.  Accusation, confrontation, denouncing others, and slander are weapons of the Devil along with deceit, lies, malice and violence.  True Christian warfare occurs on a higher plane.  Consider again the following from the holy writings:

(1.)  2nd Corinthians 10:  3-5, King James Version (KJV):  3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:  4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)  5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

(2.)  2nd Timothy 2:  19-26, KJV:  19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.  20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.  21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.  22 Flee also youthful lusts:  but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.  23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.  24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,  25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;  26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  Malachi 3:  17-18, KJV:  17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.  18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

The duty of Christian believers to continually acknowledge and preach the cross is in view, today.  Preaching the cross is mandatory, not a matter of private opinion, or personal preference.  Even so, I have allowed the content of questions asked to determine the ministry provided through this sacred writings blog.  (Of the 1,112 blog documents I have published on the Internet, only 16 have a search tag “the cross.”)  We avoid preaching the cross using the excuse that we don’t want to make trouble, or embarrass and offend those who don’t believe.  On the one hand, it is to be agreed that it is useless to preach the Gospel to those who are dead in spirit, who defy the condemnation of GOD, and who are beyond the operations of divinity to establish them also as having place in the new creation through Jesus Christ.  Such persons  will be argumentative, contentious, and un-teachable.  Yet, there is no greater message to express divine love, and renew human hope for the necessary responses from GOD that are salvation.  Those seeking to freely give without first having truly received from GOD are to be avoided, for what they seek to share is lacking in power.  Where a believer has only a knowledge of the cross to share, they still can bestow upon others a vital key for entering the kingdom.  Once more the prayer of the church must be for boldness.  Consider again the Scriptures that follow, and the presentation below:

Matthew 7:  6, King James Version (KJV):  6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Matthew 27:  24-26, KJV:  24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person:  see ye to it.  25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.  26 Then released he Barabbas unto them:  and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

2nd Timothy 3:  1-5, KJV:  1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,  3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,  4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;  5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:  from such turn away.

1st Corinthians 1:  21-25, KJV:  21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.  22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:  23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;  24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.  25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Acts 4:  26-31, KJV:  26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.  27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,  28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.  29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings:  and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,  30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.  31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

I am a Baptist minister. Should I preach a sermon on Isaiah 20 while wearing just my boxers?

In Isaiah 20, Isaiah preaches naked, so I think I should preach on Isaiah 20 wearing just my boxers.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him:  and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am?  They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again.  He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.  And he straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing;  Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.  And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it:  but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.  For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?  For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.  (Luke 9:  18-26, KJV)

“Jonah”, in a recent email letter to describe my current activities to one of the fellows from my days on campus in New England, I stated that I have behaved like Jonah (who fled to Tarshish when commanded to leave Joppa, go to Nineveh (called the Robber City) and preach repentance to the captives, exiles, Gentiles and heathen there).  Like many, I have deliberately and repeatedly been trying to avoid the Christian duty to “preach the cross.”   Yet, there is no other message, or saving truth at the same or higher level.  Instead of proclaiming the cross as the heart and soul of sacred knowledge and truth, my behavior has been like that of many in the church—compromise, elaborate excuse-making, evasion, and self-promotion.  As a result, what I’ve had to say to others has been without the power to change lives, heal, or truly nourish the imparted Spirit.

It is increasingly important for us to acknowledge and review the cross daily in some way:  conversation, meditation, prayer, study.  Many Christian believers are making the cross an annual event, a “once-in-a-lifetime” experience, and a “private moment” sealed away within their own awareness.  However, the presumption, destructive pride and selfishness of our nations are continued by our not speaking of the cross.  Too often, we seek to interact on the basis of “safe issues” and secular knowledge.  Too many times we assume we already have, and completely understand everything we need for our own individual salvation.  Some oppose learning and teaching the cross accounting it the same as wearing a hair-shirt, or self-flagellation.  Embracing the cross is despised as a bloody and cruel darkness that depresses and frightens believers by unnecessary threats of violence.  The cross is feared as a source of bad dreams, insomnia, and nightmares; and there are men who see themselves protecting their families against the cross as doctrine that should be “X-rated”, labeled as gore and horror, too strong for women and children.  Believers must overcome fear by taking up the cross before they will bear fruit from the crucial teachings on topics such as torment, the Lake of Fire, and the second death.

Dodging the cross we preach “Black lives matter,” Civil rights, voter registration; Giving, sowing, and the $1,000 dollar seed; “celebrating with Santa Claus and Christmas trees is idolatry;” “Sabbath is not Sunday;” “the Pope is Antichrist;” feed the Hungry; house the Homeless; save the Aquifer; Save the Children; Save the Dolphins; Save the Earth; Save the Environment; Save the Whales; Support Disabled Vets; Traditional Marriage; Transgender Tolerance, Wear a Pink Ribbon; etc., etc.

Jesus upon the cross is a scene from eternal judgment that also reveals mercy, the excellence, power and divine strength established by the gift of GOD that is life as well as the oneness and unity of full divine person.  The crucifix continues to be an import tool to help some envision the cross.  Many feel the cross argues against intelligence, is barbaric, and “uncivilized”.   For them preaching the cross is condemned as callous manipulation that introduces and maintains emotionalism, hysteria, and sentimentalism.  Even so, in the language of the Bible, mature believers hold the following to be sacred truth:

(1.)  1st Corinthians 1:  18, King James Version (KJV):  18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God..

(2.)  1st Corinthians 2:  1-5, KJV:  1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.  2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.  3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.  4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:  5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

(3.)  Mark 15:  31-33, KJV:  31 Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.  32 Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.  33 And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.

There is far more to be said, understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Galatians 2:  19-21, KJV:  19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.  20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:  and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.  21 I do not frustrate the grace of God:  for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Fornication, iniquity, presumption and self-will are in focus, today.  Many of the things accomplished by divinity, provided to mankind, and required of Christian believers have been introduced, not because there was acceptance and understanding of the gifts from GOD, rather, because there was not.  Doctrine and sacred law have been given, and inseparable aspects of the divine makeup have been imparted that have not eliminated sin, yet, makes it more possible to correctly recognize and completely resist sin.  Sin is contrary to the divine nature within the living, yet, continues to appear as natural and normal until challenged through the operations of GOD.  Consider again the following from the Bible, and the points appearing below:  Proverbs 20:  9, King James Version (KJV):  9 Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?  Also 1st John 1:  8, KJV:  8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  Through the Spirit of Christ, mankind is now privileged to acknowledge salvation by his victories over antichrist spirits, death, bad habits, ignorance of divinity, and all manner of unrighteousness:  1st John 4:  4, KJV:  4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them:  because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.  A  writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Jim” (Level 1 with 62 points, a member since September 25, 2015) posted the following:

What exactly makes a sin willful? Isn’t every sin willful?

Update: Can we be forgiven for it?

Update 2: The reason is because i have willfully sinned many times (sexual sin) and I was wondering if god doesn’t want to forgive me anymore, I feel as if I don’t have a connection with him anymore, I feel empty inside.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot?  God forbid.  What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.  But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.  Flee fornication.  Every sin that a man doeth is without the  body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.  What? know ye not that the body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  For ye are bought with a price:  therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.  (1st Corinthians 6:  15-20, KJV)

“Jim”, perhaps your pastor or one of the mature believers close to you may better serve you, and share with you the personal counseling you seem to be in need of.  Meanwhile, I can share these points:  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and all divine order generated and maintained through law.  Deliberate and persistent sin is called iniquity (i.e., imbalance; inequality in and violation of covenant) and presumption (i.e., exercising authority that lawfully belongs to another; taking someone’s place without their permission; identity theft). When one sins through ignorance of the law or lack of knowledge regarding sacred customs and practices, they may be forgiven, yet, the blood of atonement still must be applied for their right-standing with GOD to be restored.  While sin has not been created by divinity, is no material thing or object having spirit matter, sin may dominate awareness and self-will within created beings and living creatures.  Through sin, separation from GOD intended for independence and integrity of being becomes exaggerated and distorted to appear as enmity, rebellion, and self-destruction.  In sexual joining, a person risks fornication, where their own spirit is defiled by being joined through their sexual partner to spirits of others who are not physically present.  Depression, inner conflict among multiple spirits, and self-contradiction may appear as well as uncharacteristic attitudes, behavior and conduct.  Here are some points to consider that may help you avoid further error and spiritual confusion:

(1.)  Numbers 25:  29-31, King James Version (KJV):  29 Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.  30 But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD:  and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.  31 Because he hat despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.

(2.)  Proverbs 24:  9, KJV:  9 The thought of foolishness is sin:  and a scorner is an abomination to men.

(3.)  Proverbs 28:  13, KJV:  13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper:  but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Proverbs 25:  28, KJV:  28 He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

A reply using Scriptures is provided to counter the charge that there is no evidence divinity “still exists.”  Again, one of the many fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile data is shared) posted the following:

So a god creates the universe, inspires a best selling book, disappears for 2,000 years while giving off no indication that he still exists?

And then will punish you for not believing in him?

Doesn’t that sound kind of like a d*ck move?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.  If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.  They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.  Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?  He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?  And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.  And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.  And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.  And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?  Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin:  but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.  (John 9:  32-41, KJV)

“Anonymous”, perhaps some other of your readers are experts (like yourself) on what is or is not a “d*ck” move.  However, focus upon “d*ck”, upon the gods from the world, and upon the many concerns from the flesh can stunt the growth of a person’s consciousness of divinity.  Had you spent more time in fellowship with Christian believers more mature than yourself, in obedience, in prayer, in godly service, or in careful study of the Scriptures focused through faith, you would realize why the following has place among the faithful as warnings, instruction, command, and divine wisdom:

(1.)  Proverbs 26: 3-5, King James Version (KJV):  3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool’s back.  4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.  5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

(2.)  Galatians 3:  1-3, KJV:  1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?  2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?  3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

(3.)  Hebrews 1:  1-5, KJV:  1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;  3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:  4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.  5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

(4.)  1st John 4:  9-11, KJV:  9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.  10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

(5.)  2nd Peter 1:  19-21, KJV:  19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:  20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man:  but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

(6.)  2nd Corinthians 4:  5-11, KJV:  5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.  6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.  7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.  8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;  9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;  10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.  11 For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

There is far more that must be said to fully shift your awareness regarding that that is holy.  (For example, (7.)  2nd Peter 1:  2-4, KJV:  2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,  3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:  4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:  that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and willingness to be granted spiritual maturity.

A brief Scripture study is offered today focused to clarify the work of the imparted Spirit from GOD to dispel  “foolishness”.

SOME THOUGHTS ON

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

(1st Corinthians 2:  12-14, KJV)

Deuteronomy 32:  1-7 (KJV)  1 Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.  2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:  3 Because I will publish the name of the LORD:  ascribe ye greatness unto our God.  4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect:  for all his ways are judgment:  a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.  5 They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children:  they are a perverse and crooked generation.  6 Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?  7 Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations:  ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.

Proverbs 22:  15 (KJV) 15 Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

Psalm 14:  1-6 (KJV)  1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.  2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.  3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy:  there is none that doeth good, no, not one.  4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.  5 There were they in great fear:  for God is in the generation of the righteous.  6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.

Proverbs 9:  6 (KJV)  6 Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.

1st Corinthians 1:  18-25 (KJV)  18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.  19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.  20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?  21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Proverbs 15:  1-3 (KJV)  15 A soft answer turneth away wrath:  but grievous words stir up anger.  2 The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright:  but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.  3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

Psalms 69:  5 (KJV)   5 O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.

Psalms 73:  3 (KJV)   3 For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

Psalms 73:  22 (KJV)  22 So foolish was I, and ignorant:  I was as a beast before thee.

Proverbs 24:  8-9 (KJV)  8 He that deviseth to do evil shall be called a mischievous person.  9 The thought of foolishness is sin:  and the scorner is an abomination to men.

Proverbs 15:  13-15 (KJV)  13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance:  but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.  14 The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge:  but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.  15 All the days of the afflicted are evil:  but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.

Proverbs 19:  1-3 (KJV)  1 Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.  2 Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.  3 The foolishness of man perverteth his way:  and his heart fretteth against the LORD.

Psalms 5:  4-5 (KJV)  4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness:  neither shall evil dwell with thee.  5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight:  thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

Proverbs 27:  22 (KJV)  22 Though thou shouldest bray a fool in a mortar among wheat with a pestle, yet will not his foolishness depart from him.

Psalm 74:  22 (KJV)  22 Arise, O God, plead thine own cause:  remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily.

Mark 7:  21-23 (KJV)  21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,  22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:  23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

Today, U.S. currency and features of the twenty-dollar bill are used to correct the mistaken notion that Christians are to disregard the Old Testament.  Also, there is more on atonement and forgiveness.  A writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Peter” (a member since April 01, 2013) posted the following originally asked at Yahoo Answers Canada:

Christians: Under the New Covenant you are obliged to disregard the OT. So why follow the 10 Commandments?

…….. when they are from the rejected OT.

THE BATTLE AXE:  Forgiveness Through GOD? (02/02/2014)—For many who have come to GOD through Jesus Christ, believing began with common sense ideas about what a genuine god would be capable of with a willingness to ask questions and learn more.  More than this, we all began with peculiar understandings of what a true god would do to (1) establish and maintain the many expressions of divinity that are displayed through all that exists, (2) make divine person known and respected, and (3) remove every thing that opposes the continued existence of divinity.  Through ministries upon the earth as well as from the place of divine presence (we say, heaven), Jesus Christ appears in distinct and godly being (we say, incarnation) that agrees with ones inner sense of order, reality, and truth while further clarifying divine operations, sanctified process, all previous sacred revelations, intimate relationship with GOD, and eternal purpose.  Believers all grow in knowledge and understanding by continuing in fellowship with one another, study of the holy writings, and practice of a lifestyle that amplifies and applies sacred truth.  See Romans 6:  16-23, Ephesians 2:  1-10 and 1st Peter 4:  9-11, King James Version.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?  For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.  For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.  For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.  And it is yet far more evident:  for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,  Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.  (Hebrews 7:  11-16, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Covenants and Relationships (01/29/2014); Salvation is Conditional? (01/30/2014); Bible Justice? (01/26/2014); GOD Inhabits Praise (01/27/2014); About Sabbath (10/16/2013); We Shall Behold Him (10/17/2013); Gentiles and the Law? “Peter”, for many, the cross is foolishness, they do not understand why it was necessary or what it accomplished; yet for those who believe, it is the power of GOD unto salvation.  Here are a few points to consider regarding the impact of the cross for the Old and New Testaments:

(1.)  The face of a twenty dollar bill in U. S. currency shows the portrait of a former President (Andrew Jackson), while the obverse shows an image of the White House in Washington, DC.   Two different seals, two signatures, and serial numbers appear on only one side of the Federal Reserve Note.  While most users are able to recognize the value for the bill by looking at the numbers placed at the four corners, for users to receive full value for the bill they must surrender the whole note.  Similarly, to detect counterfeits of a true bill, users must examine and study the whole thing.

(2.)  Despite their differences the old and new covenants are aspects of a single truth, and to fulfill the plan of GOD, both must be embraced together.  Detection of various errors only become possible by correct knowledge of the “true note,” so to speak.  Believers must be prepared to encounter arrogance, false prophesies, hate, heresy, ignorance, lies, malice, pride, and unbelief.  Often, the attacks upon truth are disguised as friendship, fun (we say, humor or jokes), intellect, logic, reason, and false science.

(3.)  For created beings and living creatures to comprehend the cosmic impact of sin their awareness, and the process of their self-will must be transformed in phases and stages that maintain and reinforce the divine order.  Sin opposes the continued existence of GOD, of The Ten Commandments and all divinely given law as well as of all Creation.  Just as paper currency represents the authority and lawful order established by a nation for commerce, exchange and social interaction, so the revealed laws of GOD make divinity known and visible while fostering communication and exchange among those who are part of the Kingdom of GOD.

There is far more to be said, properly shared, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  The official value of currency is not altered by the private application and use of it; yet, we speak of “filthy lucre.”  We acknowledge that, while charitable giving may occur, misuse encouraging prostitution and purchase of illegal drugs also may appear.  Similarly, abusers of divine law, of the word of GOD and the many provisions for the faithful will arise.  Knowing this, believers put on the whole armor of GOD to disregard, reject, repel, and resist the things that derive from the enemy.  The things from GOD continue to be of value as holy, pure, righteous, and wise.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
