Try the Spirits

Today, reply is on recognizing end time predictions, false prophets, and authentic divine spokespersons among Christian believers.  All Christian believers are to discover, explore, learn, and experience gradual growth for their own full realization of the truth from GOD provided to mankind.  The things of genuine faith will appear as knowledge that has been applied, repeatedly challenged and tested, yet, shown to be useful among those who are spiritually mature (i.e., who display such features as accountability, balance, commitment, consistency, discernment, sobriety, stability).  Because a believer’s focus must be upon GOD, who will remain invisible and unseen, a believer concentrates more on the fulfillment of the message, and the different signs that confirm its sacred origin, than upon the personality and traits of the messenger.  A fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum using the ID “Sharon” (Level 3 with 2,057 points, a member since August 30, 2016) posted the following:

If I predicted “wars and rumors of wars” for 2019 would you revere me as a prophet? Why or why not?

If not, why do you believe the same claim is an amazing prophecy when you read it in the Bible?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?  Ye have said, It is vain to serve God:  and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?  And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.  Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another:  and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.  And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.  Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.  (Malachi 3:  13-18, King James Version, KJV)

“Sharon”, in the same way, the Holy Spirit is sent as an agent of Jesus Christ who does not promote himself, true prophets can be recognized by their not seeking social prominence, self-promotion, popularity, and reward from mankind.  The nature and process of prophecy is the imparting of divine law, proclaiming sacred judgment, providing revelation, and sharing substance from the makeup of divinity (we say, breath, life essence, spirit, Word) more than the providing of threats, warnings, and prediction of future events.  True apostles and prophets sent from GOD will appear as offspring of divinity and joint heirs with Jesus Christ, for they will present the inseparable aspects of spirit content received as a fresh endowment from GOD by rebirth.  Included will be balance, boldness, completeness, faith, holiness, humility, oneness without sameness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

In place of finite human tools such as philosophy, politics, and secular knowledge authentic Christian prophets rely on sacred knowledge, the practice of various divine ordinances and sacraments (e.g., baptism, confession, fasting, praise, prayer, preaching), and the entire range of sacred declaration recorded as holy writings.  The Bible is used as a reliable standard for discernment of spirit substance appearing within oneself, other persons, events, proclamations, prophesies, visions, etc.  Predictions of doom and gloom, and calculations for dates of familiar events that appear in the Scriptures have been useful as important indicators that a prophetic ministry is promoting errors that are not according to the Gospel.

In Christian gatherings, every member of the body should be prepared to share their own peculiar divine gift and contribute to the comfort, nourishment, and encouragement of others.  Even so, their individual offerings are to be in harmony and consistent with the streams of truth clearly acknowledge by the body as a whole.  (All that glitters is not gold; and some elements may be shared in controlled situations and with restraint.  The shared purpose within the church is to maintain and reinforce unchanging things already revealed, therefore, believers often have to leave unspoken diverse challenging and unusual experiences.  The body is not a forum for anything and everything (e.g., dreams, gossip, rumors, slander, suspicion, superstition the occult, uncertainty, witchcraft).  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Deuteronomy 13:  1-5, King James Version (KJV):  1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,  2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;  3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams:  for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.  4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.  5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.

(2.)  Daniel 9:  1-6, KJV:  1 In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;  2 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.  3 And I set my face unto the Lord GOD, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:  4 And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;  5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:  6 Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

(3.)  Malachi 4:  5-6, KJV:  5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:  6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

(4.)  1st Corinthians 12:  27-29, KJV:  27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.  28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.  29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  1st Corinthians 14:  26-33, KJV:  26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.  27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.  28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.  29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.  30 If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.  31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.  32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.  33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, some thoughts are shared to clarify differences between teachings of Christianity and Islam regarding the life of ones flesh and that of ones spirit.  For correct and full sacred knowledge as Christian believers, distinctions are made among existence (we say, continued being; duration over time; having presence as an object), life (we say, being alive; able to display and manifest self-will; having and completing mortality), and death (we say, decease; loss of ones life essence; the end of ones consciousness) as well as truths regarding resurrection (return of life to the dead) and the second death (annihilation that appears as an outcome in divine  judgment).  GOD, who is spirit in character, nature and substance is to be acknowledged as the cause, origin, and source of all that exists.  Included are things carnal, material, and social along with diverse sacred operations and processes such as atonement, forgiveness, Incarnation, joy, rebirth, redemption, repentance, salvation, and sanctification.  The writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Sid” (Level 1 with 184 points, a member since June 29, 2016) posted the following:

Why do you think your alive if your going to die?

(Collosions 3:3)
For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

(Collosions 3:3)
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

The Koran itself seems quite clear: “And you were dead, and He brought you back to life. And He shall cause you to die, and shall bring you back to life, and in the end shall gather you unto Himself.” (2:28).

Avidya (Sanskrit; Pali: avijja; Tibetan phonetic: ma rigpa) is commonly translated as “ignorance” or “delusion”.

He who is forgetful of the Self, mistaking the physical body for it, and goes through innumerable births, is like one who wanders all over the world in a dream. Thus, realizing the Self would only be like waking up from the dream¬wanderings.
Sri Ramana Maharshi (December 30, 1879 – April 14, 1950)

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:   for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:  as it is written, The just shall live by faith.  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;  Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,  (Romans 1:  16-22, King James Version, KJV)

“Sid”, where a person maintains consciousness of divinity as “spirit”, the language for life, death and reality should take on  meaning that is set apart (sanctified).  The greatest separation among the many statements for guidance to mankind that come by systems of belief such as Christianity and Islam results from how they address the existence, importance, and operation of “divinity” and “spirit” as distinct from flesh, physical matter, mind, and elements of social interaction (e.g., loyalty, respect, trust).  Mankind is conceived as existing within a sphere of life that itself is more than a stream of consciousness, and the content of his own or “someone else’s” mind (who?).

Many accept that existence goes beyond being alive, yet, those existing as “dead” are no longer in a condition or state that continues life essence (we say, the spark of life, the breath of life, the spirit) essential to communicating and interacting with the living.  Those who speculate regarding the state of the dead often place them within a very active and busy environment (an afterlife, an underworld, Hades, Paradise) where they must be alive and operate for their own survival.  Such accounts are sources of confusion, and make it more difficult to have correct sacred knowledge.  Where GOD is acknowledged as a spirit being, and the source of all that exists, a believer is also required to acknowledge there are divine operations and processes that must be in agreement consisting entirely of spirit substance, and generated from GOD who is spirit.

There is far more to be said, carefully examined, and spiritually understood.  (For example, The system (i.e., interconnected and related ideas) of Christian belief requires acknowledgement of GOD appearing in human form (Incarnation) without an altering of divinity.  Attention is directed away from angels, messengers, prophets, and spokespersons.  Apprehending Christ, men are granted experience of the Holy Spirit; and through the Spirit, the fullness of GOD the Father.  Such a truth has to extend to existence both in flesh as well as in spirit.  More than this, birth, death, immortality, incorruption, resurrection, and eternal life all would have to be defined in harmony.  Comprehension of a spirit realm that also contains all the features of carnal, material and social reality demands that the character, nature and substance of death no longer be understood relying upon frameworks such as time, space, and flesh (i.e., appetite such as hunger, thirst, cravings for sexual activity; sensation such as hearing, seeing, tasting, touching; and emotion/mental functions such as anger, fear, forgetting, fantasy, imagination, recall).  The Holy Spirit must become ones primary focus.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, points are shared to clarify that Christ was not in flesh before Creation, yet did exist as the Word.  In the same way the first-born son is to be an agent, the primary heir and representative of his father, who acts upon and fulfills the father’s will, and who continues, maintains and bestows family heritage, Christ as divine word is an active agent of the GODhead who acts upon, makes known, and determines form for expression of the eternal mind and will.  For created beings and living creatures, divine or holy spirit exists as no-thing (non-material, non-sense, having no form or substance) that may be recognized using only finite mind and sensation.  GOD is made known (we say, revealed) by acts of the Holy Spirit, and of the Word who is his “offspring” and Son.  The active presence of Spirit must be discerned and made a focus of consciousness by concentration upon sacred possibilities, actual life events, and operations of Deity that display such elements as commitment, diversity, immortality, incorruption, longsuffering, mercy, perfection, sacrifice, and truth.  Just as the body has been prepared in a way to respond to auditory stimulation and sound (we say, hearing), the inner spirit should resonate with and respond to divinity appearing as consciousness, spirit, and Word.  Consider the following from the holy writings, and the presentation below:

Hebrews 4:  12-13, King James Version (KJV):  12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.  13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight:  but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Hebrews 11:  3, KJV:  3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Acts 2:  4-6, KJV:  4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.  5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.  6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

1st Peter 1:  22-25, KJV:  22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:  23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.  24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:  25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever.  And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

Christians, I need help understanding John 1:1?

Is the word Jesus or is the word God speaking? Why would Jesus be called the word? Thank you.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.  His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:  and his name is called The Word of God.  And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.  And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations:  and he shall rule them with a rod of iron:  and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.  And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.  (Revelation 19:  11-16, KJV)

“Spirit of All”, Christianity is a comprehensive belief system connecting multiple levels of truth.  The language that identifies Jesus as Son with GOD as Father is no less correct than language calling the Savior a lamb of sacrifice.  For many mature Christian believers to speak of divinity as “word” is in harmony with having consciousness of unseen “spirit” that appears (we say, is made manifest) through a broad range of divine elements.  In addition to (1) sacred substance that describes the makeup of Deity (e.g., faith, holiness, love, wisdom, wrath against sin) there also are (2) inseparable aspects of divine being such as authority, grace, integrity, light, person, presence, righteousness, sovereignty, (3) consecrated process (e.g., forgiveness, Incarnation, rebirth, reconciliation, sanctification), (4) sacred events (e.g., healing, miracles, repentance, resurrection, salvation, signs), and (5) eternal purposes (e.g., companionship, harvest, judgment, immortality, order).

All created beings and living creatures first apprehend their own existence on the basis of things that are carnal (i.e., related to flesh; having to do with their metabolism and physiology, the mechanics and repetitive workings of their organs and tissues), material (we also say, matter; things having form, measurable dimension, and physical presence), sensory (e.g., hearing, seeing, smelling, touching), and social (having to do with contact, exchange and interaction with objects and others who are living).  Those who acknowledge divinity as the source for their own “spark of life” (we also say, breath, life essence, spirit, utterance, word), also accept Deity as having put forth all that exists.  The one we speak of as “GOD” is the only source for both existence (everything that exists is not alive), and for life within any thing that may exist.

There is far more to be said, understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, for the living to acquire necessary sacred knowledge that provides the clearest definition, meaning and value for things pertaining to divinity, they must interact with GOD through the tools that have been provided such as a human advocate/mediator (Jesus Christ), anointing (fresh endowment of spirit content), fellowship (participation in community with mature believers), practice of sacraments (perform acts to continue sacred operations such as baptism, confession, praise, prayer), and the written word (holy writings that document divine commands, counsel, covenant, promise, and prophecy as well as sacred law, and utterance by the Holy Spirit).  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, response is shared for a discussion on paradise, purgatory and teachings within the Scriptures on the place and state of the dead.  Principles for answering supposed contradictions found in Scripture as well as differences among accounts and doctrines are considered.  Linjo Eveline who participates with me in THE BIBLE STUDY GROUP (a Public Group on Facebook presently having 19,656 members), invited comments by sharing a presentation that included the following at about 11: 41am on August 18, 2015:

please borthers and sisters l realy wish to know if there is a place call PURGATRY where if u die with sin u will stay there then ur family will pray so that God should fogive your sins?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:  and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:  and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.  (1st Thessalonians 4:  13-18, KJV)

Linjo Eveline, be encouraged!  Holding to the principle that there are no contradictions within the Scriptures, believers still can identify differences, near repetitions and shifts that many take to be errors.  The Bible must be read with an eye to divine intent and eternal purpose.  Every attractive and pleasing idea may not be appropriate, for the holy writings contain many subtleties (i.e., barely visible differences; hidden shifts in meaning and value).  Those who exaggerate the significance of discovered differences often become excited and seek to discredit and dismiss the entire Bible.  Examples even are seen when a simple change in spelling occurs as with “Esaias” instead of “Isaiah”, “Cora” and “Kore” instead of “Korah”.  It is not that differences do not appear, rather, it is that—because our salvation is through grace, by faith, and not by works—discovered differences are often irrelevant, and not significant.  This truth also applies when considering differences among long-held doctrines and traditions such as those regarding the place and state of the dead.

The references to the bosom of Abraham and Paul praying for the dead are unfortunate, for they encourage ideas regarding the state of the dead that are in conflict with other teachings presented from the Scriptures.  For example, the state of the spirit separated from the body is indirectly described in the account of Saul using the witch of En-dor as a medium or vessel to contain the spirit of the prophet Samuel.  As surely as it is written, the dead praise not GOD, and lose all concern and interest for the things of the earth, spirits separated from flesh as living souls no longer may display character and personality they showed when living, and can not know or predict the future.  In the instance of Saul, Samuel repeated things that had been proclaimed while the prophet was alive that, in fact, had addressed Saul’s future.  Where touching a dead body renders a person unfit to participate in the community of believers, surely, having contact with a “dead” spirit renders a living person defiled.

Many of us assume that the spirit of a dead person remains in the coffin, and with the cadaver of the deceased.  However, when a spirit is separated from its body through death, the spirit does continue to exist.  The Scriptures only state that the spirit returns to GOD who gave it; and does not provide detail on an area or gathering place for spirits.  In accounts we have been given, there is no indication that spirits separated from flesh (many say, ghosts that exist through death and natural processes) roam the earth as do Satan and his followers (spirit beings created by divinity).  Thus, in the account of a man who ran amok among the tombs and had  a legion of unclean spirits, these were not spirits from the deceased; and the devils were not willing to inhabit the corpses buried there.

That a spirit can exist without a body is further shown by the account in Revelation where John of Patmos reported hearing souls beneath the altar in heaven that cry, “How long, O Lord, holy and true dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?”  These are described as having been lifted from the earth, and are understood as having gone through the complete process of their own final judgment; yet, they are not in full resurrection, and are awaiting the return to their physical body.

Many believers want to avoid the anxiety, depression, emotional pain, fear, and multiple errors that result by exaggerating our focus upon damnation, death, the dead and dying.  These are more likely to affirm that there is a spirit realm that compares to the spheres of life created for those upon the earth, and within heaven.  These unknowingly alter the teachings from the Apostle Paul that discuss resurrection and various differences in flesh and glory.  For the Christian believer, release from despair, gloom, morbidity, and pessimism are accomplished primarily by concentrating on the divine proclamations, promises and prophesies regarding our redemption, our salvation, the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, his harvesting all believers from the earth as well as life in New Jerusalem and upon the earth made new.

There is much more that could be said, that should be carefully weighed, and spiritually taken into account.  (For example, we agree, one faith, one Lord, one baptism, one GOD and Father of all.  Yet, just as the harmony and peace of the church as the body of Christ does not result from believers all wearing the same type of clothing, having the same employer, or sharing the same marital status, unity in Christ is not an outcome of believers all agreeing on every question and topic, all ministering (e.g., hospitality, preaching, teaching) to others in the exact same way, or all placing the exact same emphasis upon the shared doctrines.  Disagreement with continued respect and diversity are  important to the fullness and richness of the church as a living expression of divinity.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, a poem is shared to celebrate Black History Month, 2015.  The African American historian, Carter Godwin Woodson was born December 19, 1875.  He was the seventh of nine children born to two former slaves.  He was raised on their tobacco farm in Virginia, worked there during his early childhood, and as a teenager, went to work in the coal mines to help the family survive.  Carter G. Woodson learned to read using the family Bible and his father’s evening newspaper.  He began high school at the age of 20 and completed studies there in less than 2 years.  Woodson went on to Berea College (Kentucky), the University of Chicago, the Sorbonne, and Harvard University, where he earned a Ph.D. in 1912.  Although discouraged by some at Harvard who taught “the Negro had no history,” Dr. Woodson would later teach and serve as a dean, there; and in 1915, Dr. Woodson would found the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History to train Black historians and to collect, preserve, and publish documents on Black life and Black people.  Also in 1915, Dr. Woodson authored his first book, The Education of the Negro Prior to 1861.  In 1933, he published The Mis-Education of the Negro.  In 1926, the second week of February was chosen for Negro History Week to acknowledge Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln, who both were born in that month.  Doctor Woodson also founded the Journal of Negro History (1916), Associated Publishers (1922), and the Negro Bulletin (1937).  Woodson spent most of his adult life working to promote racial harmony by educating all people about the vast contributions made by Black men and women throughout history.  Doctor Woodson died on April 3, 1950, and Black History Month established in America’s bicentennial year (1976) is his legacy.

Should we call upon the scholars
With their parchments and their scrolls
Having knowledge from the ancients,
Or the dark and hidden holes
Showing records prehistoric
Carved in stone, or made with chalk
Should we begin with reading, or
Should we begin with talk?

[A Poem for Black History Month, 2015]

Where should we look for our history?
What should our study be?
Should we always start in Africa,
Across the vast blue sea?
Its village life, its tales of war,
Its empires raised in glory
Its trek and struggle to survive
Its tears and human story?

Someone said, try the barber shop,
Another said the lodge
Fraternities, sororities
The newspapers, but dodge
The bullet, leave the gangsters out
The number runners, booze
Migration from the south to north
The singing of the blues

The buffalo soldier cavalry
The winning of the west
The struggle for our civil rights
Is part of our behest
A trove of entertainers
Those inspired who believed
Inventors, painters, film makers
The athletes who achieved

The captains of our industries
The funeral homes, the schools
Discoverers of continents
The “educated fools”
The hustlers and the hoochies
The money changing hands
The scourge of dope upon our streets
The royalty of bands?

Start at the bridge from yesterday
That spans to reach tomorrow
Woven strong with simple truth
Life triumph laced with sorrow
The challenges, accomplishments
And what we sought to gain
The risk we took, or what was lost
And how we endured pain

Go to the edge of sanity
Its mix of peace and strife
The family Bible scribblings
Wherever there is life,
The baptized, married, born and died
History past, behind
The history that is yet to be
In your heart, your gut, your mind.

Human nature and the final outcome for conflicts and disputes based upon religion are the focus, today.  Because the origin of many differences in the earth should be understood as the inner spirit content that resides within created beings and living creatures, the resolution of certain conflicts can only come by operations of divinity, and through divine law.  A writer at “Yahoo! Where, precisely, do you think all the wrath, hatred, and bitterness towards religion, faith, and spirituality ultimately heading to?

Since the internet began, knowledge of spirituality, religion, and faith has been spreading deep understandings of the lessons they teach, along with the importance of love. It has been a source of direction, strength, and hope for generations, and is proving to be the same for this generation too. Even researchers admit that it is a part of human nature, which will continue.

On the other hand, some people who have argued against the study of spirituality, religion, and faith (often from the fallacious position of personal incredulity, which is not understanding it, or misunderstanding it), have gone beyond disagreement, and fortify positions of bitterness, wrath and hatred towards those who seek the deep lessons of spirituality, religions, and faith. Often, when you try to determine why this is, it stems from a petty or biased understanding of things.

We have seen what extreme measures the bitter, negative, and hateful ideals can lead to, as they dominated the headlines of the 20th century. But despite this, people still continue growing hatred, bitterness, and wrath towards spirituality, faith, and religion.

Where is this heading? Another genocide? What is its ultimate end game?

Why not love one another and work towards harmony?

*P.S.: Please answer the question without trying to avoid the main theme, or divert it. Yes, people can disagree, but this is not about disagreements, but people who take it beyond disagreement into bitterness, hatred, and wrath.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Then say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD, The city sheddeth blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against herself to defile herself.  Thou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed; and hast defiled thyself in thine idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come even unto thy years:  therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries.  Those that be near, and those that be far from thee, shall mock thee, which art infamous and much vexed.  Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee to their power to shed blood.  In thee have they set light by father and mother:  in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger:  in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.  Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.  In thee are men that carry tales to shed blood:  and in thee they eat upon the mountains:  in the midst of thee they commit lewdness.  In thee have they discovered their fathers’ nakedness:  in thee have they humbled her that was set apart for pollution.  And one hath committed abomination with his neighbour’s wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father’s daughter.  In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord GOD.  Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.  Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the LORD have spoken it, and will do it.  (Ezekiel 22:  4-24, KJV)

“Flowerchild”, many share your concern for the future along with dismay and shock that religious beliefs, today, all appear to be generating condemnation of others, conflict, irreconcilable divisions, and unjustified violence.  Even so, here are a few points regularly shared among Christian believers that continue balance, focus, and peace of mind:

(1.)  Given that anger, fear, hatred and bitterness are made up of emotional and intellectual substance, these conditions and states are temporal (we say, they come and they go).  As operations of the flesh (appetite such as hunger, thirst, sexual cravings; sensation such as hearing, seeing, tasting, touching; emotional/mental functions such as desire, imagination, recall), emotions and mental functions have great influence and power upon awareness and self-will.

(2.)  Presently, where individuals or groups pursue such motives as reprisal, retribution and revenge they are often  persistent, relentless and uncompromising.  Yet, as the alternative to destruction, genocide and warfare to eliminate opposition, the primary responses to accomplish change and reconciliation tend to be emotional and practical appeals that are inappropriate and irrelevant.

(3.)  The full framework of Christian belief describes the course of human development and transformation focusing upon the divine spirit content within mankind, the peculiar purposes of divinity, and the multiple sacred events and operations that are being carried out to establish a permanent harmony and peace for all who will live within the active presence of Deity.  Thus, themes of atonement, forgiveness, death, judgment, rebirth, spirit growth, and sanctification must come into view.

(4.)  Current conflicts have been “foretold” and prophesied, however, not in terms of their specific details.  Believers are not to become emotional and fearful, distraught, or confused.  Present day events are affirmations and evidence of their faith being valid.  Yet, for our faith to also be fruitful and productive, we are to continue our positive efforts to build a world that is godly, righteous and divinely beautiful.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  As surely as diverse cultures maintain distinctive behaviors, language and approaches to life experience, we are not correct to think that all systems of religious belief are directed to the same goals, must employ the same means, and can accomplish the very same objectives.  There remain many who seek to thrive upon the sufferings of others.  Christians are encouraged to trust that the peace sought by honest-hearted men and women throughout the world definitely will be supplied on the basis of divine purpose and the grace of our Creator.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to the measure of your faith.

Some points on dreams, divine messages, prayer, and prophecy are shared, today.  The “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “GisherJohn” (Level 3 with 1,434 points, a member since September 02, 2008) posted the following:

Praying seems to bring me more vivid dreams and I get messages, is this normal?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORDIs not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?  Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.  Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.  Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them:  therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.  And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD.  And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house.  Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the LORD answered? and, What hath the LORD spoken?  And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more:  for every man’s word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God.  (Jeremiah 23:  28-36, KJV)

“GisherJohn”, there are many points of understanding I would like to share with you that are important among Christian believers who want to avoid spiritual confusion.  Keeping it brief, however, consider these:

(1.)  One Faith, One Lord, One Baptism.  The operations of GOD to reveal divinity are all directed to specific divine purposes and truths that are now documented in the holy writings.  The sacred writings all have been generated by a single spirit, therefore, legitimate experience of communion with Christ is recognized by a process of spirit we call “discernment”.  Ones spirit content from the eternal makeup of Deity must be the “standard” used to compare and contrast spirit content within finite events, guidance, objects, and other persons.

(2.)  There Is No New Message.  GOD is immutable and unchanging (we say, the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow) yet, interacts with created beings and living creatures whose awareness is continually subject to change, modification and movement that will include multiple levels and objects of focus.  The Word (we say, breath, essence, spirit) is that aspect of the fullness of GOD that may be known as utterance (e.g., commandments, praise, proclamation, promise, prophecy).  GOD has appeared incarnate (we say, in flesh) as Jesus Christ to complete and fulfill major events and requirements for eternal life.

(3.)  Frameworks of Time and Space.  Divine order is established, maintained, and appears as divine law, sacred principles and eternal precepts.  The many operations of GOD to benefit created beings and living creatures upon the earth were initiated before the Creation began.  Included are atonement, birth, death, forgiveness, incarnation, judgment, rebirth, repentance, resurrection, revelation, salvation, and sanctification.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Not of Private Interpretation.  Dreams and messages that proceed from GOD are intended for the full body of believers who are in covenant agreement, and so must come under the consideration of other believers entrusted with the same sacred truth.  Dreams that express features for ones individual character and personality emerge from such finite elements as emotions, intellect, logic, philosophy, and science.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to the measure of your faith.
