Jesus Heals The Paralytic by Harold Copping (1863-1932), Printed biblical illustration, Published in 1910.

Today, reply is on why all Israel was not healed through the ministry on earth of Jesus Christ.  Displaying authentic humanity, Jesus was ordained and sent as a vessel who would become filled with divine Spirit to prepare the covenant people for an outpouring of spirit substance from the makeup of GOD in accordance with earlier recorded prophecies and promises. Many saw him only as a rabbi from the region North of Judea; and Jesus was opposed by bias, ethnic arrogance, prejudice, skepticism, and unbelief. It is written: Mark 5: 25-34, King James Version (KJV): 25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, 26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, 27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. 28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. 29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? 31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? 32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. 33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. 34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. Jesus cured several people of their ailments. Why didn’t he cure everyone in Israel who was sick?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2nd Chronicles 7: 14, KJV)

Kate Gosselin”, the appearance of divinity using flesh and human form as Jesus Christ (the Incarnation) was not for the purpose of healing mankind of sickness and treating their wounds so much as to introduce a new covenant relationship between the Creator and the Creation. To understand why Jesus did not heal everyone all over the world when he appeared on the earth, or at least all of the Jews who were in covenant with GOD through sacred law and inherited traditions from the covenant of Moses, many Christians focus on mankind’s spiritual awareness and needs that first must be in place before the operations of Christ as an anointed spokesperson from GOD may go forward in the lives of others. Along with desire to be healed, there also must be a longing for faith, for sacred knowledge rather than secular knowledge, for the active presence of divinity, and for the inseparable divine substance imparted from the makeup of GOD. Included in the virtue that flowed from Jesus Christ were forbearance, gratitude, holiness, humility, oneness without sameness, personhood, wisdom, and wrath against sin. The ministries of Christ were opposed by Satan as well as the by Pharisees and others who thought they were defending the true covenant. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible, and a presentation from the music ministry of MercyMe:

(1.) Matthew 4: 23-25 King James Version (KJV): 23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. 24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. 25 And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.

(2.) Mark 2: 1-12, KJV: 1 And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house. 2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them. 3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. 4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. 5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. 6 But there was certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, 7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? 8 And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? 9 Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? 10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) 11 I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. 12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

(3.) Matthew 13: 54-58, KJV: 54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? 55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? 56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things? 57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. 58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Body Is The Temple

Today, thoughts are shared on how medicine must be an instrument and tool from the divine fullness (we also say, divinity; the Godhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit), rather than an obstacle to the belief of those being called to serve through Jesus Christ. Last year around this time, I saw an eye doctor (ophthalmologist) on staff within a university hospital here in Washington, DC, the Nation’s Capital. I was given a prescription for eyeglasses, and scheduled for a follow-up session later this month. I have been rendered nearly blind for the last three weeks, however, and thought to arrange for an earlier appointment. When I arrived for examination, I was told I would have to be admitted to the hospital, and stay indefinitely; that I must submit to multiple extractions of blood; and that, based on CRT and MRI scans, my treatment would also address an inherited condition that (to my knowledge) has never appeared in me or others in my family (one of the University areas of expertise). Thus, readers are asked to consider the following:

Why would a Christian go to a doctor when there is a problem in his flesh that requires healing?

The Bible plainly states that the confidence, security, and well-being of a believer comes by the workings of spiritual process, and the use of spirit instruments and tools that include confession, fasting, forgiveness, importuning, praise, and prayer.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. (1st Corinthians 6: 19-20, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Divine Dominion Over Nature (02/04/2019); Hezekiah Called For Judgment (12/09/2018); Nehushtan, The Brass Serpent (10/26/2018); Doctrine, Dropsy, and Sin (09/07/2018); Sacred Operations By GOD (04/12/2018); Demonstrations of Spirit Truth (02/28/2018); Another Form of Blindness (07/23/2017)

Healing is a restoration of full functioning and the operating of the flesh in accordance with mechanical, natural and spiritual law that occurs through interactions of faith and the many other inseparable aspects of spirit substance imparted to mankind that reside within the makeup of divinity (e.g., forgiveness, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, wisdom, wrath against sin). There must be acceptance and acknowledgment of healing by medical science with its practices and strategies that address health care and well-being, for the medical practitioner will be held accountable by GOD for their correct application and use of sacred knowledge, and what they account as their own legitimate authority.

Because suffering that appears through carnal, material, and social events also is a divine tool to authenticate, challenge, exercise, and strengthen ones endowment of faith and the uninterrupted expression of hope, many medical practitioners argue that: (1) Spiritual things are self-contradictory; (2) have value only as expressions of emotion, psychological phenomena, and superstition; (3) should be restricted to spiritual rather than physical things (e.g., broken-hearts; ones own past; family and marital relationships; world peace); are neither scientifically reliable nor valid; and should be avoided. The clarity, precision, and simplicity of academic and secular knowledge, science, and technology should be preferred.

Just as doctors and surgeons can not foretell future events, nor consistently mandate the outcomes of their own actions, Christian ministers and their followers can not predict the future, nor command that the outcome of events be the expression of their own desire and self-will. At best, there can be the recognition and application of tried and tested patterns that become familiar through experience, practice, and study. Thus, knowing ABC is followed by EFG, one may correctly state, XYZ is coming. For developing Christians, the cause and origin for various actions and events within their life are to be discerned and acknowledged on the basis of their agreement with what has been recorded as divine prerogative, grace, eternal purpose, and the sovereign will of GOD. The workings of devils (we say, deception, lies, slander) will repeatedly negate and oppose the pronouncements from God, in effect, declaring once more, thou shalt not surely die for sin and transgression of the expressed will of GOD that is sacred law).

The testimony and witness from those who have experienced healing is not be dismissed as chance, coincidence, foolishness, and hypocrisy. Thus, I bear a cicatrix on my right arm over the blood vessel that did not gush forth when I was slashed to the bone by someone using a straight-razor. It also is the truth when I speak of being diagnosed decades ago by different doctors who agreed that I had migratory arthritis, that it could not be cured, and that it would randomly and suddenly change the location of severe pain throughout my entire body. A new drug, (Motrin) was prescribed, and I was told, I would have to rely on the drug for the rest of my life. Rather than yield, I continued insisting on the things of my belief as a Christian.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, it is plain sense that doctors and all the others in the practice of medicine are not to be ignorant regarding healing and its place in the life of those they offer to serve. Before wasting the time of those seeking health solutions, or offering a false hope, those in the medical professionwh0 are part of the man-made system for survival and understanding that is called the World—are to acknowledge the limitations of their professions, and are to avoid complaining against, condemning, and opposing divinity. The effectiveness and value of professional health care also rests on a platform of mutual respect and other intangibles. There must be a profound level of sound judgment on the part of every healthcare professional (e.g., hospital administrators; custodians; orderlies; nurses; doctors; surgeons). There must be communication, exchange, and sharing of insights and information among medical workers and with the intended beneficiaries (e.g., clients, families, patients, the general public) of the healthcare system. Most importantly, there must be multiple relationships marked by the approval, endorsement and validation of others as well as the extension of trust to things assumed, elements from other belief systems that impact the practice of medicine along with things otherwise unknown and unseen that may require recognition and creative responses.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

hezekiahs-illness

Today, reply is on the character and content of prayer requesting life when one is approaching the time of their own death. To pray for the health of ones own body, mind, and spirit becomes selfish by having its origin in exaggerated desires for pleasure, idolatry, excessive pride, and lawlessness. Many of us have had to pray to GOD for strength to endure congenital sickness in our offspring, the incurable illness of a parent or spouse, and a diagnosis foretelling our own death. It is not an offense to GOD that men affirm the divine purpose and putting forth of life; however, throughout our being in relationship with GOD by the death of his son Jesus Christ, there must be correct recognition that obedience to sacred law is not sufficient either to justify or provide all our needs from GOD; that there must be willing submission to the sentence of divine law that rebukes and warns against sin; and there must be the firm, unshakable acknowledgment of resurrection, final judgment, and the second death. The fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion and Spirituality who uses the ID “MeMe MeMe tikle” (Level 7 with 50,810 points, a member since July 31, 2012) posted the following:

Is it wrong to pray for God to extend someone’s life like Hezekiah did?

Update: God knows what is best for us and we must accept His will concerning the length of our lives?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. (James 5: 13-18, King James Version, KJV)

MeMe MeMe tikle” among mature Christian believers, prayer may communicate and give expression to the divine spirit within a collective body (e.g., a congregation; a family; a nation), or provide intimate expression from a single individual. Only divinity may lawfully assess or assign (judge) the content, meaning, and value of praise and prayer, for those appeals, expressions, and petitions must be directed exclusively to GOD. Hezekiah did not fast, pray for, and receive the blessing poured forth at Pentecost. Hezekiah acted in response to a fresh prophetic exhortation, Get your house in order; yet, the sentence that mankind should be mortal already had been spoken and was in effect against the living on earth since the time of Adam. Acknowledging the prayer of Solomon in the dedication of the first Temple, Hezekiah turned to pray toward Jerusalem and the Temple wall. Hezekiah did not appear before GOD “empty-handed” having no offering of (1) acknowledgment of the Spirit of Prophecy (we also say, the Comforter; the Holy Ghost; the Holy Spirit; the Spirit of Truth); (2) acknowledgment that Isaiah was a true prophet and spokesperson sent from GOD; (3) fervor (some would say, passion; tears; heartfelt truth); and (4) works of obedience to sacred law. Even so, Hezekiah acted in ignorance not understanding the distinction that healing is not the same as a sacred event (we say, miracle); and the dying king required a sign that would authenticate the integrity of the prophet’s words. Hezekiah’s prayer was heard and answered, however, the divine response should be seen as more than duration, longsuffering, more time, and one man’s survival. Hezekiah could obtain compassion from those of the kingdom, favor, and respect as GOD’s anointed without entering into final judgment; however, it is in sacred judgment that mercy toward those who are guilty and lacking appears most clearly as divine prerogative, eternal purpose, righteousness, and the sovereign will of GOD. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

1. 2nd Kings 20: 1-3, King James Version (KJV): 1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live. 2 Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying, 3 I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

2. 2nd Kings 20: 8-11, KJV: 8 And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day? 9 And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees? 10 And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees. 11 And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.

3. Romans 8: 22-27, KJV: 22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. 24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 4. Romans 8: 3-9, KJV: 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Prayer and Study Circle

Today, reply is to a teen on family prayer and shared Bible study as a remedy to conflict and division within the home. Because the goal is to establish family unity, a full reading aloud of as few as 12 books may be taken up and treasured as a family’s own sacred inheritance from divinity, and their own special anchor and grounding from GOD. A fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion and Spirituality, who uses the ID “Nicholas” (Level 1 with 41 points, a member since June 24, 2017) posted the following:

Am I crazy?

Ill try to make this quick. Im 19. Ive been a baptist for 4yr now. My Catholic parents dont allow me to go to the church i want and say under there roof i need to go to a catholic church. I finally decided to leave. I have 500.00 and no car. I dont have a job either. Am i crazy to leave home cause of religion? Am i in the right or are my parents? Im thinking of trying to get into job corps. Any advice on what i should do?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. (Matthew 18: 15-20, King James Version, KJV)

Nicholas”, put your thoughts about leaving your parents aside until you have considered these points that have been helpful among mature Christian believers whose household needed a “home remedy” that would supply divine healing:

1. Sinners must be “born again,” become “developing believers,” and “grow up again” (i.e., there must be rebirth of a person’s inner character and makeup; they must receive a fresh endowment of life essence (breath; spirit; word) from the makeup of GOD). Water baptism depicts the sacred operations wherein the inborn spirit is slain, buried, and raised from the dead, so to speak.

2. Inseparable aspects of divinity are imparted to indwell and gradually increase within the believer. Included are faith, forbearance, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

3. The followers of Jesus Christ are all admonished: In the same way religious customs and traditions have been mistakenly respected as though they were sacred law, young people often confuse conscience, independence, integrity of personhood, and self-will; while parents and other caretakers often confuse self-control and holding to personal regimen with discharging sacred authority and the ministry of divine will.

4. Within the home a primary, yet, often unmet need is for shared experiences of discovery, fellowship, learning, and service. Through cooperative communication and exchanges such as family prayer and Bible study, spiritual maturity can be nourished, and will become visible through such elements as accord, adult accountability, balance, completeness, consistency, sobriety, and stability.

5. Where those within the shared household can come together and agree that (1.) no one present is an enemy, (2.) there is a clear need for something that may provide spiritual benefit to everyone present, and that (3.) it is not likely to harm anyone to participate in a family reading of a minimum of 12 books from the Bible, take turns reading aloud and let the reader share their thoughts and feelings. The declaration from the Apostle Paul may help to get things started: I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. (1st Timothy 2: 1-6, King James Version, KJV)

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 6. Romans 8: 5-9, KJV: 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Bronze Snake

Today, reply is on the divine use of material devices, and the operations of faith exercised in the use of a bronze serpent on a pole, Nehushtan. In the same way divine law for mankind also imparts the knowledge of sin, Nehushtan, that was fashioned to provide healing and salvation, also exposed and illuminated sin. Included were apostasy, idolatry, and the defilement of both anointed rule (dominion) and consecrated priesthood. That the Scripture accounts address the beginnings of Israel as a nation is not to overshadow the fact that the holy writings provide a record of revelation from GOD that includes multiple divine appearances, as well as sacred events on the earth that are yet to occur. Created beings and living creatures are challenged to apprehend immortal, invisible, incorruptible GOD having been endowed with sacred process, purpose, and spirit substance from the makeup of GOD. Deity appears using flesh and human form (we say, Incarnation); and divine deliverance, judgment, and eternal life are to be discerned as certain, ongoing, and eternal. The fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” Religion and Spirituality public forum who uses the ID “glenda” (Level 1 with 4 points, a member since March 16, 2018) posted the following:

What the meaning of a bronze snake on a pole in the bible. number 21:4,9,?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him. Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die. The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man? Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them. (John 12: 27-36, King James Version, KJV)

glenda”, when Moses appeared to Pharaoh, GOD used the prophet’s staff to demonstrate divine authority, power, and sacred presence that could not be displayed by the magicians of Egypt. Many Christians believe this staff was a symbol of the Son of GOD who eventually would appear on the earth in human form (we say, Incarnation). When the staff became a serpent and swallowed up the serpents from the magicians this signified that the Savior would appear to destroy the idolatry, occultism, superstitions, and spiritual confusion of Egypt, and of all mankind.

Among Christian believers there are many points of agreement and understanding shared regarding the accounts of Nehushtan (the serpent on the pole) that appear in the Bible. Nehushtan first was used as a material object that would provide a visible focus for the divine operations of faith within those who left Egypt guided by Moses and Aaron. Their deliverance, healing, and transformation to exist as a nation favored by GOD would not be merely on the basis of the 12 tribes accepting divine law they would hear proclaimed by invisible, unseen GOD. Their new life would be on the basis of their faith in his grace, divine prerogative, promises, and sovereign will demonstrated in multiple sacred events that included correction; plagues of fiery serpents; the daily appearance of a pillar of cloud by day, and fire by night; the falling of manna; and being granted divine rest as the Sabbath day. The integrity of GOD in covenant further appears as the recovery of the lost dominion of Adam through fulfillment of the promises to David, that his household would reign as a dynasty. The many errors of Israel among the heathen included continuing the worship of man-made objects (we say, idolatry; the worship of graven images) as they had done in Egypt. In the reign of Rehoboam, son of Solomon, the dynasty of King David was ended by the 10 tribes who became the Northern Kingdom (also called Israel; Samaria) while the 2 remaining tribes became known as Judah. Under Jeroboam as their king, Israel discontinued worship at the temple of Solomon, and would even revive worship of the golden calf from Egypt. The account of Hezekiah also affirms the faithfulness of GOD in covenant.

Consider again the following that uses language from the holy writings:

(1.) Numbers 21: 4-9, King James Version (KJV): 4 And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way. 5 And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. 6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. 7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. 8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. 9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

(2.) 2nd Kings 18: 1-5, KJV: Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign. 2 Twenty and five years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Abi, the daughter of Zachariah. 3 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father did. 4 He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan. 5 He trusted in the LORD God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (3.) 1st Kings 12: 26-31, KJV: 26 And Jeroboam said in his heart, Now shall the kingdom return to the house of David: 27 If this people go up to do sacrifice in the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, then shall the heart of this people turn again unto their lord, even unto Rehoboam king of Judah, and they shall kill me, and go again to Rehoboam king of Judah. 28 Whereupon the king took counsel, and made two calves of gold, and said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. 29 And he set the one in Bethel, and the other put he in Dan. 30 And this thing became a sin: for the people went to worship before the one, even unto Dan. 31 And he made an house of high places, and made priests of the lowest of the people, which were not of the sons of Levi.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is on the provisions of GOD for new life within the body of Christ, and for serving as the spokesperson of Christ. Because the church is to apprehend the reality of GOD through Spirit, such elements as acceptance, faith, grace, divine process, promises, and trust are primary more than intellect, logic, and carnal reason. The apostle Paul shares this sensitive point in the following: 2nd Corinthians 12: 7-10, King James Version (KJV): 7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. All in the church will not be prophets; and every illness and sickness in the church will not be removed immediately, before the Advent of Christ. Yet, where one member has received a revelation or vision, it is accounted present for all. Where one has received healing, the presence of healing is accounted present for all. Where one has the ability to prophesy, prophecy is accounted present for all. The fighter in the “Yahoo! Is it true that you have to have a “Spiritual gift” to be a Christian (I Corinthians 12:7-10; 13)?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. (Ephesians 4: 12-16, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Given Us From Heaven? (09/25/2018); First, Become Born Again (09/21/2018); Why Spirit Displays Personhood (06/06/2018); Diversity Within The Body (04/13/2018); Leadings of the Spirit (11/05/2017); Believers Are To Love (12/07/2016); Family Likeness and Traits? (11/08/2016)

GRANNY NORINE”, all Christians must receive and make use of various spiritual gifts imparted from divinity by the Holy Spirit. Developing and mature believers are called to exist in a new relationship with divinity, with one another, and with the world at large as the offspring of GOD through spiritual rebirth, and as those on earth who serve as apostles, priests, prophets, and kings within the kingdom of GOD. In the same way, every believer does not receive the same education, skills, and talents, all do not receive the same anointing, gifts, testimonies, and witness. Yet, because they are present through others within the full body―including those recorded within Scripture―the believer may correctly say, I now have them also. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.) 1st Corinthians 12: 3-7, King James Version (KJV): 3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. 4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

(2.) 1st Corinthians 12: 13-21, KJV: 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For the body is not one member, but many. 15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? 18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. 19 And if they were all one member, where were the body? 20 But now are they many members, yet but one body. 21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

(3.) Romans 15: 1-7, KJV: 1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. 3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. 4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. 5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: 6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) Romans 8: 5-9, KJV: 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Today, reply is on an account of a healing by Jesus Christ that exposes the difference between the authority of law given by GOD and the authority of doctrine and teaching from spiritual men and their traditions.  Many have insisted that the highest need of mankind is for the law of GOD to exist in the earth, for the living are approved through their obedience to law, and more than any other institution or person, the law embodies and makes present divine authority, justice and wisdom.  However, the operation and process of divine law must appear through displays of sacred spirit such as faith, humility and self-abasement, rather than desire for personal achievement, ambition and self-promotion.  Many rely on their own self-discipline and willpower to impress and influence Deity, however, only those who trust and obey truly are lifted up and restored to GOD.  A fighter using the ID “Christian sinner” (Level 7 with 211,509 points, a member since November 28, 2006) posted the following in the “Yahoo! Answers” Religion and Spirituality forum:

What was the point to Luke 14:1-6?

Luke 14

One Sabbath, when Jesus went to eat in the house of a prominent Pharisee, he was being carefully watched. 2 There in front of him was a man suffering from abnormal swelling of his body. 3 Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in the law, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?” 4 But they remained silent. So taking hold of the man, he healed him and sent him on his way.

5 Then he asked them, “If one of you has a child[a] or an ox that falls into a well on the Sabbath day, will you not immediately pull it out?” 6 And they had nothing to say.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying? But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. (Matthew 15: 7-14, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Sabbath Now and Then? (08/15/2018); Deposits of Sacred Substance (06/27/2018); Christ Rejected By Pharisees? (06/17/2018); Sabbath Acknowledges Divine Personhood (05/14/2018); We Establish Covenant Relationship (05/01/2018); The Law and The Prophets (03/07/2018); Sacred Law and Practice (02/12/2018)

“Christian sinner”, just as merely discovering a minor contradiction or technicality in sacred law is not enough to overthrow the dominion of divinity, merely obeying divine law is not enough to justify or redeem a sinner.  Here are some points we often fail to consider:

As Jesus began his ministry on the earth, the Savior was challenged and tested by Satan in the Wilderness, in the Synagogue, and even in the home of prominent community figures.  Numbered by some as his 3rd miracle, Jesus healed a man having dropsy–the doctrines of the Pharisees who insisted on the “law and the prophets” without the Spirit of Prophecy (we also say, the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth).  Dropsy is a disease that appears through swelling of body parts, and is caused by toxins that may result in death.  Dropsy is a literary/narrative type representing sin and doctrine that is vain (i.e., lacking spirit substance from the makeup of GOD).  Thus, dropsy is like leaven (we say, yeast) that causes dough for bread to become puffed up.  A man is not to be commended for merely conforming to and following the law of GOD; such conduct is carnal, mechanical, and after the flesh, rather than an expression of ones divine content, and a genuine display of GOD’s apprehension of mankind and all Creation.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Luke 17: 7-10, King James Version (KJV): 7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?  8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?  9 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.  10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

(2.)  Romans 3:19-26, KJV: 19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.  20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.  21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;  22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe:  for there is no difference:  23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;  24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:  25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;  26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

(3.)  Galatians 2: 16-21, KJV:  16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.  17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.  18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.  19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.  20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) Romans 8: 5-9, KJV: 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
