Today, reply is on salvation as a living process that requires both divinity from within mankind, and the operations of mankind from within divinity.  The Creator is subject to all sacred law that expresses the consciousness, heart, mind, and will of Deity, therefore, created beings and living creatures made in the image of GOD must conform to divine order, and are subject to the eternal, immutable law of GOD.  A writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “David” (Level 7 with 156,230 points, a member since September 05, 2009) posted the following in the Religion and Spirituality forum:

My Bible says he who dies is freed from sin. But some faith groups teach that he who dies is “acquitted” of sin, i.e. your sin in paid in full when you die. But doesn’t that mean Jesus didn’t have to die?

“David”, here are a few ideas to consider you may find fresh, and that should help as you continue thinking about what salvation requires.  The sacred work that you have in view demands commitment, life substance (blood, breath, spirit, word), unselfish sacrifice, and sovereign will (willpower) both from mankind (the flesh) and from the divine fullness (we say, the GODhead; the Trinity; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit):

1.  Salvation is permanent change within and transformation of the inborn spirit content and makeup of created beings and living creatures.  Where sin is held to be a natural or normal condition, the living fail to grasp that sin is contrary to human nature as put forth from GOD. 

2.  Sin is not a common material, or ordinary object that can be destroyed and eliminated; yet, sin has direction, effect, and presence.  Sin may dominate awareness and self-will within the living, however, the heart, mind, and sovereign will of GOD are not subject to sin. 

3.  Through sacred law and other provisions of GOD, sin may be recognized, refused, rejected, and resisted. 

4.  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Lawgiver, and divine order throughout Creation; and promotes restoration of the conditions of chaos, flux, and non-existence in place before the founding of heaven and earth.

5.  Salvation is not a discrete, independent (stand-alone) act or pattern of behavior for expressing social goals and standards that might include culture, customs, obedience, rites, rituals, tradition, self-abasement, or surrender.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, 6.  Salvation is manifest through multiple sacred operations and streams of divine truth.  Included are birth; covenant; closure; forbearance; forgiveness; completing works begun through the law; fulfilling promise; fulfilling prophecy; rebirth; reconciliation; redemption; resurrection; and the second death.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is on the meanings for “first born” and “firstborn” in descriptions and titles applied to Jesus Christ through sacred law.  Just as full divine law for created beings and living creatures addresses obedience, inheritance and the transfer from the deceased to the living of real property (i.e., land and chattel), and the offering of gifts, sacrifices and service to divinity, divine law also reveals the sacred operations for redemption, resurrection, salvation, tribunals for divine judgment, permanent release from the conditions generated by mortality and sin as well as deliverance from the second death.  Through the workings of divine law, the followers of Jesus become the new creation in Christ that will be harvested from the earth at his Advent (we also say, his appearing; the Rapture; the Second Coming).  Because he displayed and fulfilled both divinity and perfected humanity on the earth, the Son himself is called the “firstborn” and “firstfruit” raised from among the dead by the Father through his sovereign glory, grace, love, and mercy.  The writer in the “Yahoo! Answers” Religion and Spirituality forum who uses the ID “GRANNY NORINE” (Level 1 with 224 points, a member since May 16, 2014) posted the following:

“GRANNY NORINE”, where “first born” usually speaks to birth order, for mature Christian believers, “firstborn” speaks to accountability, rebirth, and imparted spirit content for those in relationship with GOD.  The appearance of divinity in human form on the earth as Jesus Christ was to ratify multiple divine covenants, promises, and prophecies that were to be fulfilled by the seed of Adam (the first pair), and could not otherwise be made actual and satisfied by created beings and living creatures.  Included were the accords established through Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Aaron, David, and Israel as a nation.  A principle and term of covenant is established that a people of GOD (a family, collection of tribes, nation, anointed ruler) may serve as the agent, representative, and spokesperson(s) on behalf of all Creation in continuing relationship with divinity.  Redemption is required to set apart and recover the defiled fruit of the earth that are required to be destroyed in accordance with divine law.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Genesis 3:  14-15, King James Version (KJV):  14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:  15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

(2.)  Genesis 9:  8-13, KJV:  8 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,  9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;  10 And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.  11 And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.  12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:  13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

Today, reply is on how aspects and stages of human development, sin, and repentance influence a person to embrace the operations of divinity that establish rebirth, discovery, growth, and Christian maturity.  Some of the most fruitful and productive Christians have been those “throughly furnished” who have had their “conversation in the world,” yet, were turned to serving GOD.  The benefits of receiving sacred knowledge and practice while we are young pertain to our development of empathy and compassion, our endurance of hardship and suffering, our ability to discern love and other spirit content from GOD as well as our willingness to continue existing and to survive.  Despite that our living substance permits expression of an animal, human, or divine nature, the character, makeup, and possibilities for living expression that we receive as our human endowment from the first pair (Adam) do not truly enable us to correctly recognize, reject and resist the operations of sin.  Even our practices for educating and socializing children often continue and introduce multiple flaws and infirmities that do not permit their true representation of the image of GOD that should appear.  With this in view, it becomes understandable to say, You must be born again from divine seed.  Children often grow up in the church as companions to their own parents, and leave the church before they are able to operate with adult accountability, balance, commitment, and stability.  Outside of the church community—in addition to challenges, disappointments, facing fears, growing pains and risk-taking with trial-and-error along with infractions and violations of divine law—youth will pass through a broad range of life experiences that provide little or no sacred benefit.  All must receive and build up their own endowment of spirit substance from the makeup of GOD whereby they then will exist as the new creation through Jesus Christ.  A fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum using the ID “X” (Level 3 with 1,647 points, a member since February 21, 2013) posted the following:

 

Do most Christians first party a lot, have lots of sex and fun, and THEN decide to “become” a Christian when they are older?

Judging from some Bible passeges it seems that the reward is the same for everyone so is there a point in being a Christian when you are young?

“X”, it long has been normative and routine for the course of emotional, psychological, sexual, and social development of those who are youth to be very much determined by cultural factors outside their home and nuclear family (i.e., parents, siblings, grandparents, and trusted caretakers).  Similarly, growth and nourishment of their spirit content that first occurs within limited and secure settings such as the household of their father becomes transferred to their church schools and congregations as well as organized communities of faith.  When young people come to an age where they begin to demand independence for exploration and expression of their own self-interests, they often do so through distancing, separation, self-promotion, and immersing themselves in various alternative activities and lifestyles that have been forbidden and prohibited.

Given they have no income from employment, no savings, no self-discipline and reputation for accountability that would encourage others to extend credit, and are dependent upon the resources of others, most young people can be regarded as living in a condition of poverty that makes them vulnerable to consumerism, materialism, and their own growing sexual appetite.  Efforts by children and those who are immature who seek to throw off poverty can become frustrating and self-destructive, just as their efforts lacking guidance from experienced persons to manage gifts, great wealth, and money gained by chance and “windfall” repeatedly are disastrous.

The finite human tools of intellect, logic, philosophy, or science alone are not enough to establish the necessary willpower to always overcome desire, passion, and irrational impulse.  (Thus, there are college graduates, medical professionals, and scientists who also are sinners.)  The operations of sin oppose the continued existence of sacred law, the Lawgiver, and divine order for the entire universe.  While sin does not exist as a physical object you might keep in your pocket, sin may dominate consciousness and self-will in created beings and living creatures, for sin does not appear as contrary to ones own existence and makeup.  Until a sinner is “born again” and receives a fresh endowment of life essence from divinity (we say, breath, spirit, word), they will be comfortable thinking of sin as natural, normal, and an acceptable part of life experience.  The remedies for sin provided by divinity, therefore, include the imparting of spirit substance from the makeup of GOD that permanently changes sinners so they may benefit from sacred knowledge and practice.  Included are faith, forbearance, holiness, humility, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Luke 15:  11-14, King James Version (KJV):  11 And he said, A certain man had two sons:  12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.  13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.  14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.

(2.)  Psalms 119:  9-11, KJV:  9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.  10 With my whole heart have I sought thee:  O let me not wander from thy commandments.  11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

(3.)  Ephesians 2:  1-6, KJV:  1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;  2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:  3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.  4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,  5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)  6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Today, continuing to acknowledge the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, replies are on mankind completing mortality, attending divine tribunals for final judgment, and incurring the second death.  A fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum using the ID “Pierce” (Level 5 with 8,561 points, a member since June 16, 2013) posted the following:

 

When people say “Hell is a disconnecting from God for eternity.” Isn’t that basically saying a person will be dead forever?

If it’s not eternal torture and it’s some “eternal loss of wifi” aren’t you dead forever or are you alive and continuing to be without God, as some already like to live??

“Pierce”, the revelation of divinity (we say, divine fullness; the GODhead; the Trinity; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) that appears throughout the holy writings describe multiple possibilities for created beings and living creatures to experience close personal relationships with GOD, who is spirit in character, presence, process, and substance.  In addition to covenant, family, priesthood, promise, and unselfish service the living may come to know GOD through righteous judgment, Incarnation, rebirth, and repentance.  Sinners who are “born again” are to receive a fresh endowment of inseparable spirit content from the makeup of GOD that includes faith, gratitude, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, respect, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

Mortality has not been imposed on mankind as a punishment or an act of divine anger so much as a necessary device to endorse the sanctions of divine law; display otherwise invisible features of the divine heart and mind (e.g., empathy, forgiveness, mercy, reconciliation, righteousness); and provide continuity for existence despite interruptions of life (e.g., delay, rest, sleep (we say, death) first used when the female was created out of the male).  In a similar way, independence, self-will in the living, and seeming separation from GOD is no suspension of sacred authority, eternal purpose, and sovereign will.  The living complete their mortality as a product of carnal and material conditions, mechanical operations and natural laws such as aging, appetite, and gradual growth.

The Bible speaks of divine resolution for conflicts regarding the operations of sin in terms of judgment where divine law serves as the standard for establishing accord.  Resurrection of the dead is the divine device used to permit the dead to appear before GOD alive in holy tribunals.  Following a final judgment that has begun and will examine all mankind, for those not having the image of GOD there will be the annihilation, elimination, and the total removal of their duration, life essence (breath; spirit; word), personhood, and sacred possibility.  This is understood by many mature Christian believers as the second death.  Consider the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Revelation 2:  10-11, King James Version (KJV):  10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer:  behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days:  be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.  11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

(2.)  Revelation 20:  1-6, KJV:  1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.  2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,  3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled:  and after that he must be loosed a little season.  4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them:  and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.  5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. Today, reply is on the place of discipline and proper training for expressing Christian belief.  “Do as you please” and “ones own opinion” are not the cornerstone of Christianity any more than they may serve as platforms for genuine citizenship within a nation.  Many in modern America now are insisting on freedom to exercise their civil rights; however, some  appear to be cancer cells within a healthy body insisting that they, too, have a lawful place and should be privileged to remain, for they exist and are alive; and their function and purpose are a matter of their own choice.  Similar arguments are being made by hypocrites, nominal Christians, and those who profess to belong to GOD, yet, are false.  They insist that they too are part of the Creation, and divinity has no right to eliminate their presence and process simply because of their sin.  The followers of Jesus Christ all are called to spread the doctrine, standards and values shared from GOD; however, all are not called to the same offices.  Some will serve as bishops, deacons, pastors, and pulpit preachers who are educated and ordained for their service.  Others will be caretakers, lay persons, and teachers.  Because the goal is to nourish the image of GOD and the imparted, indwelling Spirit within developing Christian believers, the sacred process and tools to be used are not the same always as those for instructing divine law as a secular work, or establishing the continual practice of ceremonies, memorials, and prophetic demonstrations as acceptable cultural and social activity.  In the effort to establish objectivity and remove bias, formal settings and procedures are used to transmit precise data and structured information such as law, policy, and rules.  By contrast, the sharing of spirit content must be continuous, gradual, organic, and personal like tenderly repeating the words, “I love you.”  The fighter at “Yahoo! “ari”, features such as academic discipline, child-rearing, and military regimen rely primarily on aspects of the flesh (e.g., appetite, sensation, emotion/mind).  Christian belief is a response to multiple sacred operations provided to make sovereign divinity knowable, known, accessible, and approachable.  Along with commitment, meekness, unselfish service, and zeal, sinners begin to manifest belief as a fruit of the divine seed that is planted by GOD (we also say, the divine fullness; the GODhead; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit).  Water baptism provides a picture of the unseen process for the death, burial, and rebirth of a sinner’s inborn spirit (we say, they must be “born again” from divine DNA, so to speak).  As the children of GOD, joint-heirs, and the new creation through Jesus Christ, these will go on to display the inseparable aspects of divine fullness in their own lifestyles and daily living routines.  Included will be faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin. 

Through operations carried out by the Holy Spirit (also called the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth), the life essence within those who are “born again” will be nourished so that the developing believer can “grow up again,” endure “growing pains,” meet life challenges on the earth that may include hardship and suffering, and become mature/ripe.  Developing believers are to acquire and apply sacred knowledge in place of secular knowledge by continuing fellowship with more mature believers (e.g., clergy, their own parents, and co-workers); regular study of the holy writings; ones private praise, prayer, sharing, and worship; sacred practices (we say, sacraments that also may require church attendance, such as baptism, confession, holy matrimony, the Lord’s Supper); and work to build up and maintain the community of faith as well as the place(s) sanctified through prayer for celebration, gathering, work, and rest.

Those who will be sealed as belonging to Christ will all have undergone permanent changes as part of their complete transformation to exist as companions to immortal, incorruptible GOD.  Like everyone else on the earth, mature Christian believers will have been increased through experiences of discovery, gradual growth, learning, and unlearning.  However, relatively little spiritual growth will have come by use of finite human tools such as emotion, intellect, logic, carnal reason, philosophy, and science.  The process of one becoming perfected is endless and everlasting.  At the return of Jesus (i.e., the Advent, his appearing, the harvest, the Rapture, the Second Coming) those who are saints of the kingdom are to be taken up from the earth, and made fully “perfected” for the “beginning of forever” in an instant as they meet him in the air.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Deuteronomy 6:  4-9, King James Version (KJV):  4 Hear, O Israel:   The LORD our God is one LORD:  5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.  6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:  7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.  8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.  9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

(2.)  Galatians 3:  26-29, KJV:  26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.  27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.  28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female:  for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Today, reply is on the operations of sin, mankind populating the whole earth, and Christ as High Priest in heaven.  Noah and his family were blessed and supplied to cleanse the “sanctuary” of the earth that had been ravaged by the waters of the flood, and covered with debris from the judgment event that included cadavers, mud, slime, and uprooted trees.  Even so, they were commanded to replenish the earth not to construct a pathway to heaven.  Access to heaven and eternal life would become possible later through Jesus Christ as “the way, the truth, and the life.”  A fighter in the “Yahoo! “NONAME”, because we speak and think using the frameworks of time and space, heaven has been promoted as a place physically located above the earth.  It is more correct, however, for our focus to be on the inseparable aspects of spirit content from the makeup of GOD that now may exist  within mankind through the ministry of Jesus Christ.  Included are faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, meekness, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Christian believers are required to understand that the issues and problems of sin are profound, for the operations of sin go far beyond the bad attitudes and behaviors forbidden in the Ten Commandments.  Much of the wickedness we see on the earth results from operations of the flesh such as appetite (e.g., hunger, thirst, craving sex), sensation (e.g., hearing, seeing, tasting, touching), and emotion/mind (e.g., anger, imagination, recall, sorrow), rather than operations from mankind’s divine aspect imparted from GOD (we also say, breath, life essence, spirit, Word).

All appearances and forms of sin oppose the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and the full Creation.  Sin promotes non-existence; the elimination of authority, meaning, quality and value from GOD; and the return to conditions of chaos and flux that existed before the founding of heaven and earth.  While sin is no material object one may see with their eyes, hold in their hand, or put in their pocket, sin has direction, effect, and presence; and sin may dominate awareness and self-will within created beings and living creatures.  Consciousness and knowledge of sin have been  established through divine law, because to the living, sin does not appear as contrary to ones own character and makeup.  Sin seems natural, normal, and even, part of oneself that should be acknowledged, accepted and approved.  Cherished and hidden sin must be exposed by sacred law, yet, the results from sin plainly can be seen in adultery, cruelty, deceit, lack of godliness, murder, foul speech, selfishness, and violence.

For sinners taking their first steps to full sacred knowledge the accounts recorded in the Bible are important for gaining a “divine point of view” and understanding.  The holy writings reveal the active presence who is GOD appearing through thousands of events within thousands of lives over the course of thousands of years.  Developing believers are shown that Noah’s flood to destroy all living would only have eliminated sin on the earth.  Sin among the angels, and the stain of sin within the Temple of heaven must be addressed by the divine High Priest, Jesus Christ, who makes atonement and cleanses the Sanctuary in heaven by using his own blood.  Building the tower of Babel was a positive display of human cooperation and peace.  Yet, it was a rebellion thought necessary to ensure the survival of mankind in case of a second flood.  GOD said there would be no second flood; and mankind was to overspread the earth, rather than remain together in a single area.  Babel did not express desire to be “nearer to GOD;” Babel depicts disbelief, disobedience, lack of faith, and mankind having lost the “image of GOD.”

Today, the divinity and humanity of Jesus Christ are considered.  Many experience some spiritual confusion seeking to understand what, on surface, are discrete states of being and conditions for life that are contradicting and mutually excluding.  Correctly understood, looking upon Christ is not looking upon a man in a process intended for GOD, rather it is looking upon GOD in a process intended for men.  The fixed patterns, regularities, and standards whereby we recognize an active presence having attributes of person and purpose that we label “divinity” are not the same as those that apply to mankind as a living creature.  It is no violation of law put forth by GOD to govern mankind that an aspect of divine fullness would appear on the earth using human form and substance to be visible, and to continue in exchange and ongoing relationship with mankind.  Even though the Christ would appear as the agent and image of the Father, while existing within the earth as a sphere of life, and for the sake of those with whom he would abide, the attitude, conduct, and expression of the Christ had to constantly be within the ranges for human communication, consciousness, and operations of self-will.  The writer in the “Yahoo! Jesus is quoted in the NT to say the Father is Greater than himself, calling out ‘my God’ on the cross, becoming like a servant by becoming man (Philliphians), and not knowing the hour of his return.

“AbdulRahman”, the benefits we receive and expect from Jesus Christ are not those men are capable of bestowing upon one another without anointing from divinity.  Just as my responding to you is an act of my faith and an expression of my own spirit content from GOD (Christians also say, life essence, breath, spirit, Word), the action and process of accepting Jesus Christ as an appearance of divine person and substance are only by operations of divine spirit content, rather than finite human intelligence, logic, carnal reason, and secular knowledge.  With this in view, genuine belief only emerges from the exchange and interaction among the inseparable aspects of divine fullness such as faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

Regarding the authority, eternal person, and divine purpose whereby divinity appears having human form (we say, Incarnation), believers are to receive fresh endowments of the same spirit content from the makeup of GOD that resided within Jesus Christ, and will exist within him always.  As the “body” (church) and joint-heirs with Christ), his followers are to share through him the same oneness without sameness that exists among the persons of the GODhead.  Developing believers are instructed to rely most on the testimony and witness that comes from heaven more than on what has been spoken and recorded about Jesus on the earth:  His baptism, his transfiguration, the visions of John.

While on the earth and in the flesh, Jesus had to speak, think, and operate in accordance with natural law as do all men.  Where acts of faith, exorcism, and sacred events (miracles) unfold, it is by the power of GOD and the Holy Spirit that may work through flesh.  Thus, Jesus appears as part of a full revelation of divinity that uses thousands of events within thousands of lives over the course of thousands of years.  The Son of the Highest is to be the fulfillment of sacred promises, and is to complete multiple sacred operations to transform mankind to exist without sin.  In prophetic demonstration, Jesus dies on the cross, and is destroyed as an embodiment of all sin; he is raised from the dead and returns to heaven having already endured judgment for sin; he is restored as the High Priest who must make atonement within the Temple of Heaven; and he returns to claim all those from the earth who belong to him.

Jesus has shown that it is possible for men to exist on the earth and experience permanent change of their makeup and spirit content while they are living.  There must be rebirth, discovery, gradual growth, learning, and sanctification.  Consider again the following:

(1.)  1st Corinthians 12:  3, King James Version (KJV):  3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed:  and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

(2.)  1st John 5:  5-12, KJV:  5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?  6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost:  and these three are one.  8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood:  and these three agree in one.  9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater:  for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.  10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself:  he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.  11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
