Let This Mind Be

Today, reply is on language to correctly describe the transformations of body and mind that must occur for each Christian believer.  Doubting in the manner of the Apostle Thomas is not to be commended; however, believing, praising and acknowledging Christ as “my GOD” and “my Lord,” as did Thomas, are not to be dismissed.  More than simply fitting in with others, leaving the past behind, seeking self-improvement, or “turning over a new leaf,” repentant sinners are to strive to become Christ-like.  The fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” Religion and Spirituality forum who uses the ID “Doubting Like Thomas” (Level 7 with 78,023 points, a member since May 25, 2011) posted the following:

Why does “Let Jesus into your HEART!” sound like a nice invitation while “Let Jesus into your BRAIN!” sounds like a parasitic infestation?
After all, the BRAIN is the organ which makes most of the decisions.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended:  but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.  (Philippians 3:  13-14, King James Version, KJV)

“Doubting Like Thomas,” the goal of every sinner who returns to divinity through Jesus Christ eventually must become to acquire and display the image of GOD that Jesus revealed by appearing in human form, and ministering on the earth (we say, by his Incarnation).  It is inappropriate and unsuitable to speak of Jesus as only being a man in the flesh, the Son of Man (Adam), and a “biological specimen” as though the personhood he shared was only carnal, material, and social.  The sinner must undergo a permanent transformation of his own essential makeup that is so all-inclusive and complete, we do not merely say, “from head to toe”, we say, You must be born again!  The inborn spirit must die, be buried, and become resurrected, so to speak; and the sinner enters into a rebirth containing divine seed.

Those containing the new seed are “born again,” and become developing believers who must “grow up again” and become mature/ripe by meeting the same life challenges, “growing pains,” hardships, and even sufferings as others on the earth.  However, these believers are set apart (we say, dedicated; sanctified) because their fresh endowment of life essence (breath; spirit; word) imparted from the makeup of divinity enables them to exist as sons and daughters of GOD, joint-heirs with Jesus Christ, and those whom the Savior will receive as his harvest from the earth at the Advent (we also say, his appearing; the Rapture; the Second Coming).

Apprehending divinity and becoming Christ-like requires multiple streams of discovery, gradual growth, perseverance, sacred practice, and unselfish service.  How we think and speak must express that we are a new creation through Jesus.  Thus, believers are encouraged to use meanings and understandings that will acknowledge and strengthen their own and the consciousness in others of the divine presence, the crucial workings of the Holy Spirit, and the interactions among the inseparable, unseen aspects of GOD they have now received.  Included are faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Developing believers are less like to use such words as “the heart” that describes emotion, deep thoughts, and sentiment; or “the mind” that speaks to attitudes, intelligence, logic, carnal reason, and critical thinking.  It is more correct to apply discernment that acknowledges divinity as the origin and source for life, and that recognizes and responds to spirit substance deposited from GOD within events, messages, oneself, other persons, the holy writings, etc.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Isaiah 55:  6-12, King James Version (KJV):  6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:  7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts:  and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.  8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.  9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.  10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:  11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth:  it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.  12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace:  the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

(2.)  Jeremiah 17:  5-10, KJV:  5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.  6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.  7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.  8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.  9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked:  who can know it?  10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

(3.)  Philippians 2:  5-11, KJV:  5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:  8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.  9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:  10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;  11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

(4.)  Colossians 1:  12-20, KJV:  12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:  13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:  14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:  15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:  16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:  all things were created by him, and for him:  17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.  18 And he is the head of the body, the church:  who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.  19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;  20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, focus is on admonition, covetousness, and the range of sacred operations required to oppose sin.  Correctly understood, the living, and the things of the material and natural world have been created to express and serve the will of the Creator, not merely their own self-will.  It should not be disturbing or surprising, then, that the immortal, invisible Creator of heaven and earth might use animals, angels, the sun, moon, and stars to communicate and intercede with his own finite created beings and living creatures.  What should be thought startling and strange is that the hearts and minds of many are blinded by the flesh and the world so that they can not receive the plain guidance, instruction, warnings and testimonies from the Bible, or shared by those endowed with faith through Jesus Christ.  In the account of Balaam, who was spoken to by an ass, the seer himself regularly experienced unusual events, and often was relied on as the one to give counsel to others when they were challenged and confused by strange occurrences.  The ass had to speak to counter Balaam’s hardness of heart.  Similarly, discernment and sacred knowledge are bestowed on the apostles, prophets, mature believers, and the disciples of Jesus Christ to enable their correct response to the active presence who is GOD.  Consider again the following:  Hebrews 5:  12-14, King James Version (KJV):  12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.  13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness:  for he is a babe.  14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Christian. Is the commandment to not covet your neighbour’s donkey referring to one of those magical talking donkeys that you all believe in?

Because I must admit, those are some pretty good donkeys!

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?  And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me:  I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee.  And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? and he said, Nay.  Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand:  and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.  And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me:  And the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times:  unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had slain thee, and saved her alive.  And Balaam said unto the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I knew not that thou stoodest in the way against me:  now therefore, if it displease thee, I will get me back again.  And the angel of the LORD said unto Balaam, Go with the men:  but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou shalt speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.  And when Balak heard that Balaam was come, he went out to meet him unto a city of Moab, which is in the border of Arnon, which is in the utmost coast.  And Balak said unto Balaam, Did I not earnestly send unto thee to call thee? wherefore camest thou not unto me? am I not able indeed to promote thee to honour?  And Balaam said unto Balak, Lo, I am come unto thee:  have I now any power at all to say any thing? the word that God putteth in my mouth, that shall I speak.  (Number 22:  28-38, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, none of the many sacred operations carried out by GOD to cleanse, defend, heal, and maintain ongoing relationships with the living involve “magic”.  Establishing godliness within created beings and living creatures now demand such elements as acquiring sacred knowledge, forgiveness, growth, completing mortality (death), rebirth, resurrection, ripening for harvest, and sanctification.  The Spirit of GOD that put forth heaven, the earth, and Creation continues to gradually introduce permanent changes in the spirit content of sinners that include multiple subtleties (i.e., barely visible differences; sudden shifts in meaning, quality, and value), and that remain unseen to those who lack discernment.

Many fail to grasp that covetousness only appears as a transgression of divine law (we say, sin).  All sin opposes the continued existence of sacred law, the Law Giver, and divine order throughout the spheres of life.  It has not been a divine intent or eternal purpose that the living exist with their consciousness and self-will dominated by sin, and responding to an uninterrupted stream of desire.  Sin promotes destruction, nonexistence, and a return to the conditions in place before the founding of heaven and earth.  Even so, the living often accept sin as natural, normal, and in no way contrary to their own character and makeup.

In the same way divine law has been provided for guidance and instruction against sin, the account of the “talking donkey” is supplied for those who are immersed in carnal, material, secular and social realities.  Balaam was a genuine  seer (in the Bible, the early name for a prophet).  In addition to genuine prophecy from GOD that may have included visitations by angels, Balaam also may have indulged the occult through ignorance, innocence, and exaggerated pride.  Thus, a very graphic and strong warning had to be made against the self-will of Balaam and how he might support the enemies of Moses.  (Ask yourself:  Where my own self-will would be directed against the sovereign will of GOD, would it be enough for me to be answered on the Internet by a stranger (some jackass) answering in faith and love to Jesus Christ, or would I need something “extreme”, magical, and occult to be admonished and corrected by GOD?  Would GOD have to use with me what he uses for those having hardened minds and hearts?)

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, points are shared on describing the fullness of GOD (we say, the GODhead or Trinity—Father, Son and Holy Spirit).  For many, the language to speak of divinity emerges from our common experiences as created beings having material form.  Using an earthy or carnal focus as ones starting platform, three “persons” will mean six hands, 30 fingers, 30 toes, three belly-buttons.  Human consciousness will stubbornly insist upon maintaining the frameworks of time, space, and  individuality.  Yet, the only correct foundation for sacred knowledge must come forth from Deity through exchanges, interactions and operations of sacred spirit substance that also are part of mankind’s makeup.  “Person” must be understood as an appearance of multiple attributes and qualities such as active presence, existence, and life.  “Divine mind” should not be taken as finite intellect, logic, or linear and discursive thought.  Evil (i.e., unintended change; instability) as an aspect of human makeup, allows shifts in meaning and value that, in effect, contend against divine truth.  The Creator is immutable and unchanging, yet, is to be understood through diversity and sacred events including growth, incarnation, rebirth, and regeneration.  Readers are encouraged to recall the following Bible verses, and the presentation below:

Colossians 2:  8-10, King James Version (KJV):  8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.  9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.  10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

Colossians 1:  18-22, KJV:  18 And he is the head of the body, the church:  who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.  19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;  20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.  21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled  22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

Colossians 1:  12-17, KJV:  12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:  13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:  14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:  15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:  16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:  all things were created by him, and for him:  17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

If three persons make up the Trinity, does that mean God as three minds as well, otherwise it makes no sense?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.  But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit:  for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.  For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:  for they are foolishness unto him:  neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.  15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.  For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.  (1st Corinthians 2:  9-16, KJV)

“Daniel”, here are some points I hope will help.  Even mature Christian believers encounter two major obstacles when describing the fullness of divinity:  (1) GOD is a spirit (we say, breath, life essence, word) and may not be directly known using only ones finite senses such as hearing, seeing, tasting, touching.  To say Created beings and living creatures are “made in GOD’s image” asserts that the living may display aspects of the divine makeup, yet, are neither upon the same level, nor identical to Deity in  character, form, and nature.  Also, (2) knowledge of GOD requires knowledge of “spirit”, it’s makeup and process as well as its appearance and effects.  Your namesake in the Bible, the prophet Daniel, was given answers from GOD through visitation by angels.  However, the full meaning and weight of the divine response was too great for Daniel, for it required he assume a totally different posture—a divine point of view, so to speak.  Consider the following framed in the language of Scripture:

(1.)  Isaiah 55:  6-11, King James Version (KJV):  6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:  7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts:  and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

(2.)  Genesis 8:  20-22, KJV:  20 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.  21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.  22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

(3.)  Romans 1:  18-22, KJV:  18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;  19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.  20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

There is far more to be said, understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  John 4:  23-24, KJV:  23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth:  for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  24 God is a Spirit:  and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Points are shared, today, on dreams, faith, incarnation, and salvation.  Much of the experience in sleep that occurs within the mind of mankind is the result of busy-ness and conflict among desires, expectations, feelings and thoughts.  Experiences that connect the mind of man to the mind of Deity may be received correctly as divine guidance or prophecy as well as revelation.  Just as faith that establishes divine truth may result in miracles (we say, sacred events), dreams may result in genuine sacred knowledge.  Even so, in the same way miracles do not always result in faith, and instead may foster doubt, fear and spiritual confusion, dreams are only effective as a divine tool where there is faith and other inseparable aspects of divine person (we say, the imparted spirit of Christ).  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Mary vianney” (Level 1 with 95 points, a member since May 3, 2015) posted the following thrust:

What if god appear in your dreams?

He prove to you that he can really rise the dead

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, Art thou able to make known unto me the dream which I have seen, and the interpretation thereof?  Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king;  But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;  As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter:  and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass.  But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart.  (Daniel 2:  26-30, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Nightmares From GOD? (03/11/2015); Divinely Sent Dreams? (02/26/2015); Prayer, Dreams and Messages? (01/27/2015); Ghosts (09/02/2012); About Conversion (09/03/2012)

“Mary vianney”, here are a few points often shared among Christian believers about dreams and how GOD appears to mankind:

(1.)  Because they can be very vivid and seem to be real,  dreams that result from operations of a person’s appetite, emotions, senses, and thoughts may have great power and be easily confused with sacred events (e.g., answers to prayer, miracles, relief, rest, trances, visions) that result by operations of spirit matter (e.g., faith, holiness, longsuffering, love, truth, wrath against sin).

(2.)  GOD has been continually making known (we say, revealing) the active presence, character, nature, and process of divinity to created beings and living creatures using a broad range of sacred tools.  Included are abundance, birth, death, covenant, family, inheritance, judgment, law, nation, rebirth, and sacrifice.  GOD who is a spirit, and must be worshiped in spirit and truth, is understood as repeatedly using three aspects of being (we say, person); and has even appeared upon the earth using the form of flesh and blood (we say, incarnation) in the person of Jesus Christ.

(3.)  Because dreams sent by GOD often introduce and use images that are strange, symbolic, suggestive and unfamiliar, godly dreams also require godly explanation and interpretation.  Saying this another way:  Divine dreams will be in agreement with fixed sacred standards such as previous commandments and divine proclamations, the promises of GOD, prophecy, and eternal purpose.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  Sin influences the living in heaven and upon earth by dominating individual awareness and self-will.  Yet, sin has not been created by GOD, and contains no spirit material.  Sin can not be destroyed or eliminated like intellectual, material or social things; thus, the divine operations for salvation provide divine tools to limit, recognize and resist sin.  More than feelings, logic, mind, reason and science, opposing sin requires a union of flesh and spirit that only may occur through the ministry of GOD in Christ.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

SOME THOUGHTS ON

15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen:  for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.  (2nd Corinthians 4:  15-18, KJV)

2nd Chronicles 15:  7-9 (KJV)  7 Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak:  for your work shall be rewarded.  8 And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the Lord.  9 And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon:  for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.

Psalms 51:  6-12 (KJV)  6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts:  and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.  7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean:  wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.  8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.  9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.  10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.  11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.  12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Psalms 103:  1-6 (KJV)  1 Bless the LORD, O my soul:  and all that is within me, bless his holy name.  2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:  3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;  4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;  5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.  6 The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

Psalms 119:  74-76 (KJV)  74 They that fear thee will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in thy word.  75 I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.  76 Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.

Isaiah 40:  28-31 (KJV)  28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.  29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.  30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:  31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 41:  1 (KJV)  1 Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength:  let them come near; then let them speak:  let us come near together to judgment.

Jeremiah 31:  32-34 (KJV)  32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:  33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.  34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD:  for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD:  for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Lamentations 5:  19-21 (KJV)  19 Thou, O LORD, remainest for ever; thy throne from generation to generation.  20 Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever, and forsake us so long time?  21 Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.

Romans 12:  1-2 (KJV)  1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  2 And be not conformed to this world:  but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Ephesians 4:  22-27 (KJV)  22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;  23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;  24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.  25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour:  for we are members one of another.  26 Be ye angry, and sin not:  let not the sun go down upon your wrath:  27 Neither give place to the devil.

Colossians 3:  9-11 (KJV)  9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;  10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:  11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free:  but Christ is all, and in all.

Titus 3:  3-7 (KJV)  3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.  4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,  5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;  6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;  7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Hebrews 6:  4-8 (KJV)  4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,  5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,  6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.  7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:  8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

Luke 11:  2-4 (KJV)  2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come.  Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.  3 Give us day by day our daily bread.  4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us.  And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

There is far more to be said, properly shared, and spiritually understood.  Most of you have not yet responded, however, I again invite readers to add any verse or passage from Scripture that they would like to share in the comments area (see below).  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to the workings of the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth, and the Testimony of Jesus in you.  Grow in grace.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  (Philippians 4:  6-7, KJV)
