Why are some Christians against the death penalty when the Bible seems to spell it very clear in terms of society?

Anonymous”, many do not understand (and properly respect) the guidance that comes to Christian believers regarding the divine use of death that expresses wrath against sin. In the holy writings, death first appears as a tool used by divine fullness (we say, divinity; the Godhead; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) during Creation. The male who was formed using substance from the earth also received life essence (breath; spirit; word) imparted from the makeup of GOD. The new relationship of Creator and the created required that mankind have ability to communicate; have coherence, completeness and self-will (willpower); have a consciousness of divinity that would be ongoing and uninterrupted; and that man would resemble, reflect, and reveal the character and nature of GOD to all other beings in existence. The creation of a female, who would be formed using blood and bone taken from the male, required that he “sleep” (i.e., endure death) throughout the necessary operations of GOD.

Death as mortality and separation from the living was introduced as a sanction within the law(s) provided for government of heaven and earth, and were presented to Adam (the divine name for the first pair) in the form of admonition and warning, rather than ordinances and statutes. The authority and power over the universe (we say, dominion; ownership; rule) exercised by GOD, who is immortal, invisible and incorruptible, are to be perpetual and unchanging. The sanctions were forward-looking statements to describe consequences for acknowledgment or transgression of agreements, commandments, covenants, rules, and standards that express divine expectation, prerogative, eternal purpose, and the sovereign will of GOD. Consequences and results proclaimed through the statement of law therefore include examination of the living for their content of substance imparted from divinity; the loss of dominion by mankind; the loss of fellowship with divinity; the loss of sacred attributes by mankind; and the second death.

Sin has not been created or put forth by divinity; sin opposes the continued existence of divine order and sacred law, the Lawgiver, and the platforms of creation; and sin has no divine content or sacred substance. Even so, sin may dominate awareness and self-will within the living. Sin promotes nonexistence and return to the conditions of chaos, confusion, and streams of substance lacking direction (we say, preexistence) that were in place before GOD imposed divine order. Where the living become corrupted by the operations of sin, no longer respond to divine will, and can not be recovered through fresh endowments of inseparable spirit content from the makeup of GOD, they display iniquity (are incorrigible), and they must be eliminated permanently from the divine presence. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible, and a selection from the music ministry of Hezekiah Walker:

Genesis 9: 5-7, King James Version (KJV): 5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man. 6 Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. 7 And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.

(2.) Deuteronomy 21: 18-21, KJV: 18 If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: 19 Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; 20 And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. 21 And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.

Today, reply is on the life and ministry of Jesus Christ as a divine process to establish the new creation that must appear through divine judgment, death, and resurrection, rather than through human love, marriage, and sexual reproduction. Eternal life entails more than the lifestyles and daily routines of mankind on the earth; a “birth” must occur through his resurrection, not through the operations of faith, or the works a sinner may complete. Marriage, childbearing, managing ones own household, and raising ones own children often are understood as behavior and conduct that are only carnal, material, and social. Correctly understood these also are divine operations carried out and performed on the earth through ones consciousness and self-will (willpower) that should be directed and influenced by the sovereign will of GOD. Why didn’t Jesus choose to get married and have children, if that is really the best way?

There’s an old phrase, “What Would Jesus Do?”. Well it appears the answer is to live a celibate, non-sex existence. Jesus could have chosen to say look, I’m going to get married to show the humans this is best, have a bunch of kids. No, Jesus apparently shows there is very much value in celibacy, in controlling your passions

The appearing of Christ reveals the divine fullness (i.e., the totality of all spirit substance; the Godhead; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) whose character, makeup, and process are spirit. Newness of life is not by having babies; human consciousness and self-will (willpower) are to conform to Christ. Properly understood, that mankind communicates among themselves regarding their own life process relative to the immortality and incorruptibility of divinity is the primary distinction between animals and mankind. Described as spiritual awareness, just as mankind has consciousness of mortality and its completion, there is knowledge of connection with a sovereign Creator as well as knowledge of duration for life through resurrection from the dead. Animals do not sorrow for sins and violations of sacred law, yet, as seen through the account of Noah and the flood, divinity holds animals accountable with mankind for transferring sin from the earth to the Sanctuary in heaven. Animals make no penance and do not repent; and they neither make a choice to embody Jesus Christ, nor do they acknowledge the atonement for sin offered mankind by the Son of the Highest. I am in no way disregarding the efforts of the Son of God but we are still able to die if we do not believe in Him. So why say he has saved us all when he has only unlocked the door for us and it is up to us to open it and go through it.

Apart from the provisions of GOD, mankind is finite, fragile, mortal, and may not endure as a companion of immortal, incorruptible divinity. This has been demonstrated by the response of men to the sanctions of sacred law as well as all the process and substance of both redemption and salvation. Sin has not been eliminated by the death of Jesus on the cross, yet, GOD has made it possible for mankind to recognize sin is contrary to divine and human nature, to reject the promptings of sin, and to overcome sin through renewed human self-will (willpower). The lives of created beings and living creatures can be dominated and terminated through the operations of sin. Sin promotes nonexistence and a return to the conditions in place before the founding of heaven and earth. As a benefit and privilege through Jesus Christ, sinners can be transformed through a fresh endowment of the same life essence (we say, breath; spirit; word) imparted to Adam. Even so, those “born again” must “mature again.” They must live on the earth as vessels of divine spirit, must display the image of GOD, and present the likeness of Jesus Christ. Spiritual growth is to occur through commitment, discernment, discovery, fellowship, learning, practice, unselfish service, and suffering. Today, reply is on living as a free individual, the error of “free will,” and the conflicts of will between the Creator and the created that can be seen in various life situations on the earth. Divine law and sacred operations must exist among the many individuals on the earth for there to be balance, focus, and peace. Examples include death that ends conflict, may establish changes that endure, and may provide closure and finality. Without humility, love, meekness, nonviolence, respect, and restraint, only the imbalance and tension are dominant and visible that exists between the process and substance of the flesh, and that of the Spirit. In addition to immature, self-contradicting, and underdeveloped followers of the Lord who generate disagreements and upheaval, there are impenitent sinners who continue iniquity and wickedness because they do not want to praise GOD, and instead they want to be praised. Such must come to a mature acceptance that their own existence and life can not be eternal unless they become Christ-like, and willingly receive a fresh endowment of spirit content from the makeup of GOD. It is written: Romans 13: 1-10, King James Version (KJV): 1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. If God gives us free will, why do we still go to Hell for using it to follow our own path?

If God is testing us, are we really living as a free individual, or does he pick our destiny.

Update: If we choose to follow God, we go to Heaven, if we choose to use our free will given by God, we go to Hell. Does this make any sense?

Even so, for now, human will must remain limited, finite, and temporal. Despite having unseen aspects of mind and their using a separate physical form, the living must depend on one another for survival. There must be levels of agreement and accord among the living that remain in place throughout their communication, exchange, and interaction. The effects generated through the operations of sin promote self-destruction, nonexistence, violence, and a return to the conditions of chaos and flux that were in place before the foundation of heaven and earth. Sin has not been put forth by the Creator, and is no spirit substance. The operations of sin are contrary to both divine and human nature, yet, sin may dominate awareness and willpower in the living. Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Lawgiver, and the full universe maintained through divine order. Sin generates the expression of covetousness, desire, envy, lust, exaggerated pride, and selfishness. Rather than “free will” or self-will, developing and mature Christian believers are endowed to practice oneness without sameness and self-government that conforms to the sovereign will of GOD.
