Among other things our resurrection life from Jesus Christ should display balance, completeness, gratitude, hope, joy, lovingkindness, trust, truth, and unselfishness.

Today, reply is on the resurrection of Jesus Christ as the only sacred event that provides mankind with release from sin and eternal life. As an aspect of the tribunals for divine judgment, all will be resurrected, the just and the unjust, the righteous and the wicked. Even so, it is the power of the savior’s resurrection that transforms a sinner to exist as part of his new creation. Thus, it is written: Hebrews 9: , King James Version (KJV): 24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: 25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; 26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. When Jesus said “I AM the resurrection…” Does that mean He “raises up our DEAD spirits”(Rm 5:12) since He’s Holy Spirit (Jn 14:18) baptism?

Updated 1 hour ago:

“A QUICKENING SPIRIT” (I CORINTHIANS 15:45)

BY THE “POWER THAT COMES UPON US” (ACTS 1:8) WITH HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM (ACTS 1:5)?

IS THAT THE SAME WAY HE “…WAS RAISED UP BY THE GLORY OF THE FATHER” (ROMANS 6:4)?

25 “Jesus said unto her, I AM the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die. Believest thou this?” (John 11:25-26)!

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14: 6, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: By Death and Resurrection (10/29/2019); Through Faith And Patience (10/02/2019); New Birth By Resurrection (09/27/2019); Entered Into Divine Glory (09/03/2019); Life Because of Righteousness (08/29/2019); We Must Acknowledge Christ (08/08/2019); Death Used in Salvation (06/28/2019); Challenged To Explain Resurrection (10/08/2018)

Norine”, not our own resurrection; rather, the resurrection of Jesus serves as our new birth, and the new creation. Resurrection also may be understood as an operation by divinity in accord to transform the process and substance within the living so that they exist as the righteousness of GOD. The resurrection of their own body from death that is provided to those who complete their mortality on the earth is required as an aspect of the tribunals for judgment (GOD is not a God of the dead; he is a God of the living). Only the resurrection of Jesus Christ is provided to manifest divine grace, impart life essence from the makeup of divinity (we also say, breath; divine endowments; spirit; word), and continue the eternal purpose of GOD. Seeing with new eyes, the power of the resurrection of Jesus appears among men through such sacred elements as commitment, faith, forbearance, forgiveness, gratitude, hope, integrity, joy, self-government, trust, truth, wisdom, and zeal. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible, and a selection from the music ministry of Walter Hawkins:

(1.) Romans 6: 3-6, King James Version (KJV): 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

(2.) Galatians 2: 20, KJV: 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

(3.) 1st Peter 1: 3-9, KJV: 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

(4.) Ephesians 3: 14-19, KJV: 14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

A depiction of Moses and the Lawgiver

Today, points on the Ten Commandments and sacred law are shared reflecting on a recent exchange with a former co-worker from the Library of Congress that is now posted on my pages at facebook.com. The excellence of sacred law is its origin as truth communicated and provided within personal relationships joining mankind to divinity. Divine law can not be received among those lacking faith and the other inseparable aspects of divine fullness imparted to mankind through the ministries of Jesus Christ. Included are forbearance, holiness, hope, humility, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, wisdom, and wrath against sin. The testimony must be acknowledged that the law was provided written on tables of stone by the finger of GOD, and has been spoken aloud by GOD to the multitude assembled at Horeb. It is written: Romans 7: 12, King James Version (KJV): 12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. Consider the following:

Jack Schwarz The 10 commandments contain very uneven writing and should have been edited 4 better clarity. It always reads a bit like the product of a committee rather than a vision of perfecting life on earth. The fact that loving one another isn’t in there is a big missing piece that Isiah and others tried 2 rectify. So when some crazy starts placing them on the court house lawn, I kind of wonder whether they’ve thought that hard about what they contain or have missed. jj

Michael Andrew Williams Keep in mind, there is a romance around many of these things that excuses all their flaws and inadequacy. Then again, more than merely increasing their charm, their rough edges introduce an otherwise unseen and inexplicable level of power. MAW

Jack Schwarz No romance here——no loophole 4 sloppy writing by committee. My particular bete noire is the honor thy parents one——should read honor thy family because honor flows both ways between generations and if it doesn’t, a lot of grief ensues. The writers were smart enough 2 target things like murder, theft, adultery and false witness but somehow they missed this one which is often the source of all the rest.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise. (Galatians 3: 16-18, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Violating Commandments On Love? (10/13/2019); Kings, Popes, Priests, Prophets? (09/22/2019); Conflict Among Multiple Wills? (09/20/2019); Those Who Prefer Evil (09/02/2019); Self-will Is Not Law (08/23/2019); Blaspheming the Holy Spirit (05/08/2019); Divine Forgiveness and Justice (01/01/2019)

Jack”, for someone who has thoughtfully used the volumes of U. S. Code as a reference work in making responses to the U. S. Congress, you may now be exercising some bias in your standard for “well written” legislation. The ancient fathers were not only challenged to engage a social structure unlike that within the One-world Empire of Egypt (where they hoped to assimilate despite all the Egyptians being chattel), they also were challenged to operate having new affiliation and identity as a state, rather than a collection of tribes having no political franchise within the slave-holding household of Pharaoh.

Among mature Christian believers, the Ten Commandments are received as an aspect of a full divine revelation that features the appearance of immortal, incorruptible, and invisible GOD using flesh and human form (we say, Incarnation) to further make the character and nature of divinity knowable, known, accessible, and approachable. The covenant law is not to be read only for its carnal, historical, material, moral, secular, and social focus; and the Ten Commandments are acknowledged as a testimony to the authority, dominion, righteousness, and sovereignty of divinity who stand together as Creator, Deliverer, Redeemer, Savior, and the provider of Eternal Life.

Immutable and unchanging law is to govern and influence consciousness and self-will within created beings and living creatures. The operations of sin dominate and paralyze awareness and willpower within the living. To illuminate the process and substance of existence and life are the end of the law, rather than merely the resolution of mundane and pedestrian quarrels among men on the earth continued by “he-said, she-said, and who-struck-John.” In addition to admonition, ordinances, regulations, requirements, rules, and warnings the law presents exalted personhood, principle, and wisdom. Sacred law makes apparent the divine presence through accuracy when presenting facts in tribunals of truth-finding; attention to detail (completeness; thoroughness); balance; impartiality; conclusive findings; and the authoritative ordering of punishment as well as by establishing records of offenses, determinations, and settlements that also will have the force of law. More than this, divine law conveys and imparts forgiveness, mercy and reconciliation. Consider again the following on divine law that uses language from the Bible, and the presentation from the music ministry of the King’s College Choir:

(1.) James 4: 11-13, King James Version (KJV): 11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. 12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?

(2.) Hosea 6: 4-7, KJV: 4 O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away. 5 Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth. 6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. 7 But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.

(3.) Isaiah 5: 13-16, KJV: 13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. 14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. 15 And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled: 16 But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.

(4.) Romans 10: 4, KJV: 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

(5.) Galatians 5: 16-23, KJV: 16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

(6.) Ecclesiastes 12: 13-14, KJV: 13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.)

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (7.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IX1zicNRLmY.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Our Gospel Hidden

Today, reply is that the sacred process and substance for both damnation and salvation are conditional. It is written: Matthew 22: 2-11, King James Version (KJV): The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen. One of the fighters in the public forum at “Yahoo! Answers” on Religion and Spirituality using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile data appears) posted the following:

Is this true: Christ didn’t save us all: he gave us the opportunity to be saved?

Is that correct or false according to the Bible?

I am in no way disregarding the efforts of the Son of God but we are still able to die if we do not believe in Him. So why say he has saved us all when he has only unlocked the door for us and it is up to us to open it and go through it.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. Anonymous”, it is not that divinity has not granted forgiveness and a way of new life for mankind; it is that many men do not acknowledge the acts of GOD, do not respect divine love, and do not trust. In the same way blessing and cursing continued to be conditional for those in covenant with GOD who left Egypt with Moses, damnation and salvation continue to be conditional and depend on the choices and responses the living make to divinity. Apart from the provisions of GOD, mankind is finite, fragile, mortal, and may not endure as a companion of immortal, incorruptible divinity. This has been demonstrated by the response of men to the sanctions of sacred law as well as all the process and substance of both redemption and salvation. Sin has not been eliminated by the death of Jesus on the cross, yet, GOD has made it possible for mankind to recognize sin is contrary to divine and human nature, to reject the promptings of sin, and to overcome sin through renewed human self-will (willpower). The lives of created beings and living creatures can be dominated and terminated through the operations of sin. Sin promotes nonexistence and a return to the conditions in place before the founding of heaven and earth. As a benefit and privilege through Jesus Christ, sinners can be transformed through a fresh endowment of the same life essence (we say, breath; spirit; word) imparted to Adam. Even so, those “born again” must “mature again.” They must live on the earth as vessels of divine spirit, must display the image of GOD, and present the likeness of Jesus Christ. Spiritual growth is to occur through commitment, discernment, discovery, fellowship, learning, practice, unselfish service, and suffering. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible, and a presentation from the music ministry of Steve Amerson:

1. Romans 10: 13-17, King James Version (KJV): 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

2. 2nd Thessalonians 3: 1-3, KJV: 1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: 2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. 3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

3. Romans 8: 5-9, KJV: 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Today, reply is on new life and salvation for mankind by becoming joined to divinity through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The holy writings acknowledge the dead that have gone to the grave and are no longer among the living as well as a class among sinners and those pursuing pleasure who are “dead while they live.” Developing and mature Christian believers increasingly acknowledge that the church founded through the Incarnation of divinity as Jesus of Nazareth is now in a spirit process where new life is bestowed on us through the resurrection of Jesus, rather than the through the human operations of conception and birth. While sinners must undergo the death and burial of their inborn spirit in baptism, they also must be “made alive” and revived by receiving fresh endowments of the same life essence (breath; spirit; word) that was imparted to Adam. So to speak, by receiving divine DNA, and becoming vessels of seed from the makeup and substance of GOD, sinners are to become sons and daughters of GOD, joint heirs with Jesus Christ, and the new creation. Those who become “born again”, must “grow up again” to become mature/ripe for harvest by the Lord at his coming. Following the close of the tribunals for their judgment, the final transformation of those belonging to Christ will occur as they go to meet him in the air. It is written: 1st Corinthians 15: 50-57, King James Version (KJV): 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. The fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion and Spirituality who uses the ID “norine” (Level 1 with 5 points, a member since July 12, 2019) posted the following:

Seeing we are born “dead spirit” (Rm 5:12) “A quickening Spirit” (I Cor 15:45) Does the “POWER” (Acts 1:8) with HS baptism (Acts 1:5)…?

Update: QUICKEN US BACK TO LIFE???

EPHESIANS 2:1 SAYS

“AND YE HATH HE >>>QUICKENED<<< WHO ((( WERE ))) DEAD IN YOUR TRESPASSES AND SINS.”

DID THE “POWER THAT CAME UPON US” (ACTS 1:8) WITH HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM (ACTS 1:5)

“QUICKEN US BACK TO LIFE” (EPHESIANS 2:1) OTHERWISE WE REMAIN DEAD SPIRITS (ROMANS 5:12; I CORINTHAINS 15:21-22)?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. (Romans 8: 5-10, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Paying For Our Sins? (12/07/2018); Baptism, Rebirth, and Resurrection (09/18/2018); Rebirth, Growth and Transformation (09/29/2017)

norine”, the increase of Jesus foretold by John the Baptist includes the shift from new life by water baptism to new life by the power of Christ’s resurrection. Unlike those who are unrepentant, who practice iniquity, those accepting the forbearance and forgiveness of divinity continue will be in reconciliation throughout their transition to be Christ-like. Both sinners and Christians must be transformed by operations of the Holy Spirit to exist as life companions with GOD who is immortal, invisible spirit. There must be a simultaneous action within the frameworks of time and space whereby life is imparted and introduced at the same time death that releases from sin occurs. Even so, developing believers are not yet perfected. The church is to be built up and edified by enduring “growing pains” and life challenges. Believers are to remain on the earth displaying spirit substance from the makeup of GOD having godly lifestyles and daily routines of discovery, gradual growth, praise, prayer, sacred practice, study of the holy writings, unselfish service, and suffering. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

1. Romans 6: 3-7, King James Version (KJV): 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

2. 1st Peter 2: 21-25, KJV: 21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: 22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: 24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 3. Philippians 3: 7-14, KJV: 7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: 10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; 11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. 12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

boy-comforting-another

The image of one child comforting another depicts what should be the divine process within the church where every member supports the others.

Today, reply is on divinity as the comforter of Christian believers who are continuing in the human predicament. Christians do not have direct and immediate physical access to Jesus Christ as the Head of the church. Therefore, the comfort we speak of as divinity drying all our tears as we continue to meet life challenges and conditions on the earth are imparted to mankind through gifts and operations by the Holy Spirit (also called, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth). Included are higher levels of faith, healing, praise, prayer, prophecy, thanksgiving, and visions from the ministries of Jesus Christ that otherwise could not appear. The present provisions where believers are to display forbearance, forgiveness, mercy and spirit content from GOD to one another are not the same as those that will appear following the Second Coming of Jesus, when Christ will meet in the air those who are members of his body on the earth. Thus, it is written: Revelation 21: 1-5, King James Version (KJV): 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. A writer in the “Yahoo! What does it mean in Christianity when they say the Holy Spirit is the comforter?

I picture comforter is like a mother comforting her kid when he’s been bullied at school. Is this the Holy Spirit’s role? My religion is Christianity, Roman Catholic.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; (2nd Corinthians 5: 17-18 King James Version, KJV)

Peter”, here are some expressions of Christian faith that, at first, may not seem familiar to you. The comfort believers are to receive from Jesus Christ while he is attending to duties as the High Priest of the Temple in heaven (even the cleansing of the Sanctuary), requires that the Lord be acknowledged in the earth by his use of appointed agents (e.g., apostles; prophets; priests; lay members of the sacred body, the church), and such devices as gifts from the Holy Spirit who is also an aspect of divine fullness (we say, divinity; the Godhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit). Where believers receive a fresh endowment of the same life essence (breath; spirit; word) that was imparted to Adam, we may say they are “born again” and must “grow up again” while living on the earth. Their transformation to exist as eternal, immortal companions to divinity will be completed as they are instantly made mature/ripe for harvest by the Lord at his coming.

The comfort the church receives must go beyond the day-to-day elements of our lives that focus in things carnal, emotional, material, physical, and social. For Christians, having to be accountable to others is not to be regarded as suffering; nor are being required to pay ones debts, or providing food, meaningful activity, rest, and shelter for ourselves, or others. Believers are to display Christ-likeness (the image of GOD) bestowed on them through inseparable aspects of spirit substance imparted from the makeup of divinity. Included are faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, personhood, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin. Increasingly, ones lifestyle and daily routine will be permanently changed by the Holy Spirit through experiences of discovery, gradual growth, study, unselfish service, and suffering.

The comfort to mankind must address the human predicament that includes man being finite and mortal; man being subject to the operations of sin; man being powerless to correctly recognize, resist, and respond to sin; and man being unable to establish separation from sin by relying on self-will (human willpower). The tools for sharing divine comfort, therefore, are such things as commitment, faithfulness, hope, and integrity. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

1. 2nd Corinthians 1: 3-7, King James Version (KJV): 3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. 6 And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. 7 And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.

2. Romans 6: 3-5, KJV: 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

3. 1st Thessalonians 4: 13-18, KJV: 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

4. Colossians 3: 9-15, KJV: 9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. 12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 5. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, focus is on sacred knowledge made available to the living through the death of Jesus Christ upon the cross.  Blood is a material form that may carry and convey spirit content.  Included are existence, life, meekness, person, presence, and virtue.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Why did jesus die on a cross?

according to the gospel, Jesus didn’t want to die but He accepts that how is that? how can it be a good idea to see a human being dying for your sins? just because Jesus was a divine being and he could come back to the life, but nobody of us couldn’t back to the life again, so why did jesus choose to die? why did God need Jesus’ Blood in order to love us?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  There is none holy as the LORD:  for there is none beside thee:  neither is there any rock like our God.  Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth:  for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.  The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength.  (1st Samuel 2:  2-4, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  On Transmitting Sacred Truth (05/06/2016); Products of The Cross? (04/27/2016); Sin Also Made Incarnate? (04/25/2016); More Than Food and Drink? (04/12/2016); To Foster Godly Sorrow (03/11/2016); Life Is In Blood (12/08/2015); To Drink Holy Blood? (02/16/2015)

“SUPERSTAR”, the knowledge needed to be in a continuous relationship with GOD the Father can only be provided through operations of the same Spirit that performed in the creation of heaven and earth.  However, “spirit” (we also say, breath, life essence, word) must be given carnal, material and social form to become knowable and known (we say, revealed) to created beings and living creatures upon the earth.  The living acquire knowledge through such means as imitation, instruction, intuition, and practice.  Thus, sacred knowledge must come through change, and “new life” (i.e., you must be born again, and mature again (grow up) meeting challenges that appear by growth, learning, and daily routines).  What the living will internalize and retain must be enduring, graphic, organic, and sanctified (set apart for divine use).  The operations of sin appear as awareness and self-will in the living are dominated, and influenced.  Mature Christian believers agree that GOD the Father has appeared using flesh (we say, Incarnation) to embody and destroy sin upon the cross as well as to demonstrate the voluntary expression of commitment, freedom, humility, love, obedience, acknowledgement of eternal purpose, the righteousness of GOD in judgment, triumph over death, and victory over sin.  Through operations of the Holy Spirit, blood, correction, and truth from the cross are flowing to here and now; therefore, consider again how these ideas are shared using language from the Bible:

(1.)  Romans 8:  13-17, King James Version (KJV):  13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die:  but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.  14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.  16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:  17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

(2.)  1st John 2:  27, KJV:  27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you:  but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

(3.)  John 3:  31-34, KJV:  31 He that cometh from above is above all:  he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.  32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.  33 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.  34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God:  for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

There is far more to be said, understood, and spiritually taken in.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, points are shared on the meaning and value of the cross for Christian believers.  Within the church created by the Lord, the cross is not an instrument used in practicing magic, nor is the cross an object of worship.  Even so, many disciples and followers of Jesus Christ experience the living presence of the Savior as their own indwelling Spirit responds to a cross or crucifix.  Certainly, their awareness may be released from focus upon material objects, personal problems, and issues of living in the world.  The fighter at “Yahoo! A question for Christians. Why do you have crosses? Do you like glorifying a torture instrument? Is Jesus happy with that?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.  For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.  (Hebrews 12:  1-3, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Without Preaching The Cross? (02/21/2016); The Meaning not the Object (05/26/2015); Not Images Used in Worship? “Melanie”, the cross can only be celebrated by those having balance, joy, respect, and wisdom from GOD.  Continuing to live upon the earth, Christian believers are surrounded by carnal, material, and social elements that may draw and fix their attention.  Maintaining freedom that allows one to serve GOD in mature ways requires sacred knowledge and active practice of sacraments that shield the mind and heart from secular meanings, processes and values as well as from sin.  Sin has not been created by GOD, and opposes the continued existence of divine law, GOD as the Law Giver, and all Creation that relies upon sacred law as a platform for divine order.  The operations of sin may dominate awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures.  While sin can not be destroyed or eliminated as an ordinary object, sin can be spiritually discerned, resisted, and overcome.  Among “born again” Christians, who have received deposits of spirit substance imparted from the makeup of divinity, the cross proclaims the triumph and eternal victory of Jesus Christ over multiple forces and influences.  The cross also declares peculiar achievements of each believer who has had help from GOD to overcome obstacles to their new life in Christ.  Included are anger, covetousness, death, deceit, enmity, evil, fear, hate, ignorance, sin, suffering, ungodliness, and wickedness.  The cross is not something cute and shiny worn as jewelry to appear in fashion.  Nor is the cross an object of worship (we say, an idol).  The cross may be acknowledged as an altar whereon the highest offering from mankind has been laid; yet, were believers  to “glorify” the cross itself, they would be guilty of worshiping a false god, a lifeless object, a dead thing that may not act for their salvation.  Consider how some of this appears stated in the language of the Bible:

(1.)  Philippians 3:  18-21, King James Version (KJV):  18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:  19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)  20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:  21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

(2.)  1st Corinthians 1:  18-24, KJV:  18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.  19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.  20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?  21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.  22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:  23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;  24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

(3.)  Galatians 6:  12-15, KJV:  12 As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.  13 For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.  14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.  15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

There is far more to be said, understood, and spiritually taken in.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
