Harden Not Your Hearts

Today, reply is on how long one may delay and postpone choosing to receive divine repentance. Not only is it uncertain what day and hour Christ might return to harvest those from the earth who belong to him through their atonement and repentance, it is uncertain for every mortal when their final moment may arrive and their opportunity for salvation be lost forever. Christian believers are cautioned: 2nd Corinthians 6: 1-2, King James Version (KJV): 1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. 2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) Can a person put off repentance untilthe final hours of life and still receive salvation?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. (Hebrews 3: 12-13, King James Version, KJV)

jane”, developing Christian believers should regard their own salvation as long overdue; and their every effort to return to GOD should be made as though from someone facing a serious emergency. When asked the best time for making repentance and receiving new life through Jesus Christ, believers should all answer, Now! Believers increasingly are being admonished that delayed obedience is disobedience. While a person apologizing, asking for forgiveness, or pledging to make changes in their own behavior may all be thought of as discrete, one-time events displaying repentance, the accomplishment of permanent change and spiritual growth we speak of as returning to GOD requires that multiple streams of discovery, realization, and truth must come together. Where duty and obedience appear as obligations generated by sacred law, repentance appears as obligation generated by ones endowment of spirit substance imparted from the makeup of GOD. Included are balance, faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, personhood, righteousness, wisdom and wrath against sin.

The elements that become present during the full process of repentance do not all appear at the same time, and do not all express the same emotional, psychological, social, and spiritual qualities. Thus, sorrowing for sin may appear long before wrath against sin, or the acceptance of forgiveness that translates into renewing and continuing relationships that have been damaged by the operations of sin. With this in mind, we say, repentance is a sacred process initiated and completed by the Holy Spirit wherein sinners are to become aware of otherwise unseen divine law, ongoing works for salvation, possibilities for personal change and correction, and standards required for new life in Christ. As developing believers, those who become born-again must grow-up again and become mature/ripe for harvest by the Lord at his coming. Believers are to understand that all created beings and living creatures having awareness and self-will are to acknowledge accountability to divinity for their own deeds and works; that the operations of sin are contrary to the makeup and spirit substance of divinity and mankind; and that divine order and eternal purposes throughout Creation are disrupted by sin. Sinners must undergo a transformation to exist as the new creation of Jesus Christ, heirs of GOD, and life companions to immortal, incorruptible divinity.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, there is much to be done, and many events of the end time will be completed very quickly. Believers are to act now, not to wait for feelings that may come along later. In addition to acquiring sacred knowledge that will serve as a frame for secular knowledge, believers must experience discovery, gradual growth, gratitude, fellowship with those anointed and ordained as servants and spokespersons of divinity, praise, prayer, unselfish service, and suffering that will challenge them to apply and practice the new meanings and values that pertain to displaying Christ-likeness.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

The Great Flood

THE GREAT FLOOD

Today, reply is on the possibility of a second flood to destroy sin in the earth, and what some regard as the “threats” made by GOD against mankind. Through divine prerogative, eternal purpose, sacred law, and the dictates of divine order mankind is held accountable to GOD for their own choices and conduct. Divine authority, power and privilege that establish benefit and blessing are not used to exploit mankind, insist upon self-promotion, or to make arbitrary and frivolous displays. The continued existence of Creation requires the eventual elimination of sin, its effects, and its operations. The living are constrained to acknowledge that sacred law expresses the will of divinity. Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Lawgiver, and the multiple forms of law throughout the universe. It is not simply that in the carnal, finite mind the divine behavior appears angry, demanding, jealous, or selfish. Those who cling to sin as an entitlement (right), or a pleasure they can not live without (iniquity) must separate from sin for their own survival, just as divinity is sanctified and separated from sin. It is written: Ezekiel 33: 10-12, King James Version (KJV): 10 Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live? 11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? 12 Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth. Why isnt this threat on humanity taken seriously

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. (2nd Peter 3: 3-14, King James Version, KJV)

Stevan”, the process of divinity for mankind through Jesus Christ is one of prophecy and revelation that openly displays aspects of divine fullness otherwise hidden and unseen. While there are admonitions and warnings that describe the challenges that come against our ministry of Jesus (e.g., opposition, the occult, persecution, superstition), and the possibilities of final judgment are presented, sinners who turn to Christ for new life will be built up, edified, and shielded by the whole armor of GOD. Developing and mature believers are to receive a fresh endowment of life essence (breath; spirit; word) from the makeup of GOD that serves as the substance needed for divine guidance, instruction, and sacred knowledge in place of secular knowledge. Rather than move mankind through fear and threats of destruction, men are to acknowledge assurances and promises from GOD, and become joined to divinity as vessels of inseparable sacred spirit. Included are faith, holiness, joy, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, wisdom, and wrath against sin. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

1. Genesis 9: 8-15, King James Version (KJV): 8 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, 9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; 10 And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth. 11 And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. 12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. 14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: 15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

2. Luke 9: 51-56, KJV: 51 And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem, 52 And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him. 53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem. 54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? 55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. 56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

3. 2nd Timothy 1: 7-10, KJV: 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 4. Revelation 7: 9-17, KJV: 9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. 13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

seek-first-his-righteousness

Today, reply is made on covenant relationship, divine law, salvation, and the righteousness of GOD.  The rule of “an eye for an eye” expresses a demand for fairness, justice and revenge (we also say, “pay back” and retribution) that do not appear through operations of the Holy Spirit so much as by the flesh and the mind (e.g., appetite, emotion, fear, rage).  Only by using spirit substance imparted from Christ can the mind, heart, and sovereign will of divinity contained in the law be correctly discerned and recognized as active and present.  Both to manifest the intent and eternal purpose of the law as well as to reveal further the character and righteousness within the law, Jesus cautioned all to receive a fresh endowment of spirit content from the makeup of GOD saying, You must be born again.  The living do not receive law willingly by formal mandate and obligation, and so are led to “discover” the law as the expression of their own and divine love.  The fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum who uses the ID “Jay-dub” (Level 2 with 259 points, a member since November 21, 2008) posted the following:

What exactly is meant by “God s laws”.?

I understand the 10 commandments etc., and that they are immutable and can t be changed, even by Jesus. But what about “eye for an eye etc.”? I know it was part of secular law, but is it also one of God s laws? If so then did Jesus change it when he proposed turning the other cheek, or was he simply refuting secular law?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight:  for by the law is the knowledge of sin.  But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;  Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe:  for there is no difference:  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;  Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:  Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;  To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness:  that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. (Romans 3:  20-26, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Divine Wrath Against Sin? (10/17/2017); The Vengeance of GOD? (10/01/2017); GOD Indwells Divine Law (07/14/2017); Righteousness Through Jesus Christ? (12/15/2016); Choice, Duty, and Obligation? (11/17/2016); The Covenant of Noah? (12/16/2014); Atone, Judge and Replenish (12/17/2014); Beyond Punishment (03/21/2014); A Guarantee of Heaven? (03/22/2014)

“Jay-dub”, the word “law” often is a source of confusion.  Christian believers are to acknowledge that multiple meanings for the word “law” appear throughout the Bible.  In addition to commands that require obedience to expressions of divine will (e.g., Thou shalt have no other gods; thou shalt not steal), the word “law” is used to speak of (1) formal covenant agreements with divinity such as the covenant of Moses; (2) the decisions, renderings and verdicts determined through a lawful process of judgment; (3) and the five books of Moses (also called “the law and the prophets;” the Pentateuch); (4) patterns and regularities in  attitude, behavior, and speech (e.g., habits, impulses, lusts; “a law in my members”); and (4.) principles and standards for godliness that are imparted as spirit content.

The end (aim, goal, objective) of the law (not its annulment)  is to make divinity knowable, known, accessible, and approachable.  The operations of sin that were begun through the disobedience of Adam continue to exist within mankind.  The limitations for law from GOD appearing through the nation of Israel include that, participating in covenant relations, and obeying the Ten Commandments and Levitical law do not eliminate sin; does not restore the inseparable aspects of divine content that were lost through Adam (e.g., faith, holiness, righteousness, wisdom, wrath against sin); and human behavior and works do not earn or justify necessary divine responses such as forbearance, forgiveness, grace, and mercy.

Christ does not change the law; he changes sacred knowledge, and he requires discernment of the Spirit content of the law.  In the same way, Jesus Christ dies on the cross as an embodiment of sin to demonstrate the destruction of all that opposes the continued existence of law, the Son of the Highest also is the embodiment (Incarnation) of divine righteousness (penalty) that must be returned to GOD.  Becoming “born again” through baptism (the death, burial, and resurrection of our inborn spirit) joins us to divinity as offspring of GOD and joint-heirs with Christ.   Developing believers are to display sacred content through their lifestyle and daily living routines.  Consider again the following:

1.  Romans 7:  22-24, King James Version (KJV):  22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:  23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.  24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

2.  Roman 7:  12-13, KJV:  12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.  13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

3.  Romans 10:  2-5, KJV:  2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.  3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.  4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.  5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, 4.  Romans 5:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

CARTOON, LAW AND GRACE BY DR. E. J. PACE

Today, divine law, human works, and salvation through the righteousness of Jesus Christ are topics.  A writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “William” (Level 1 with 9 points, a member since November 08, 2016) posted the following:

What is the difference of works and faith ? and why do christians say you only need faith and jews and islam say you need both?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:   My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:  And he is the propitiation for our sins:  and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.  And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.  He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.  But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected:  hereby know we that we are in him.  He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.  (1st John 2:  1-6, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Work of Forgiving (11/23/2016); Law Requires Genuine Righteousness (07/28/2016); Can A Church Not Be “Religious”? (07/27/2016); Why Are Works Required? (07/18/2016); Sin Also Made Incarnate? (04/25/2016); On Doing Good Deeds (02/02/2016); Saved by Faith and Works? (09/15/2015)

“William”, in the holy writings there are two major ideas spoken of as “works” among Christian believers.  “Good works” are understood to be acts of good will, charitable giving, kindness, and volunteering ones time.   The “works of the law” are the things commanded in the covenants, ordinances, statutes, and legal decisions called “testimonies”.  The law was provided to help men recognize that sin was contrary to their own continued existence, and did not name every specific act that should be regarded as forbidden.  For Christian believers today, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Scriptures spoken of as “the law and the prophets,” and the entire Bible are accounted as having authority, and serves as a standard and “law”.  Because many confused and mistakenly applied these ideas in the early church as being the same, the apostles provided plain instruction to clarify the benefits and greater freedom from the new covenant and testament in the blood of Christ.  Even today, those who despise divine authority, discipline, duty, obligation, and restrictions, insist that “the law” from GOD was “nailed to the cross,” and that Christian believers are free to do whatever they please without fear of judgment or reprimand.   More correctly, acceptance with divinity is through the fulfillment of the law by Jesus, and the believer continuing in the righteousness of acting in faith, rather than by their strict adherence to previous judgments, civil and sacred legislation, or human traditions.  Consider the following:

(1.)  Romans 3:  20-23, King James Version (KJV):  19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law:  that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.  20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight:  for by the law is the knowledge of sin.  21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;  22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe:   for there is no difference:  23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

(2.)  James 1:  21-25, KJV:  21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.  22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.  23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:  24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.  25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

(3.)  2nd Peter 2:  9-11, KJV:  9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:  10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.  11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.

(4.)  Romans 8:  3-5, KJV:  3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:  4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

(5.)  James 2:  15-20, KJV:  15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,  16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?  17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.  18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works:  shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.  19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well:  the devils also believe, and tremble.  20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (6.) Philippians 3:  8-10, KJV:  8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord:  for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,  9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:  10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, focus is on the benign limits upon mankind from relationships with the Creator.  It is not a matter of “choice” for the living to exist before divinity, for their essential being has presence on the basis of divine purposes, and sacred operations that determine duration, value, and worth.  The initial contracts between parents and their children can not be based upon desire, preference, and self-will of the infant.  Similarly, just as babies are dependent upon their parents who must shape their behavior to conform with practices and standards within the home, both believers and sinners must rely upon divinity for the order and structure necessary for life.  At no time while a child is dependent are the parents abusing, “brain-washing”, or torturing their own offspring by establishing clear boundaries and choosing opportunities on their behalf.  At no time is GOD to be regarded as a bully, a despot, or tyrannical ruler where only he continually provides and supplies the elements for peace, safety, security, and eternal life.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:

If we are given the choice to serve God or not, why is it wrong not to serve Him?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And further, by these, my son, be admonished:  of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.  Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments:  for this is the whole duty of man.  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.  (Ecclesiastes 12:  12-14, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Birth, Self-will and Sin? (11/13/2016); Eternal Life From GOD (10/24/2016); Guided By Divine Truth (06/20/2016); All Sin Is Willful? (10/20/2015);  Finite Will, Self-will and Sin? 06/01/2015); Relating to GOD? (11/05/2013); Does Satan Know? (11/06/2013)

“Anonymous”, correctly understood, being in personal relationship with divinity entails duty, obligation, and reverence more than choice, pleasing oneself, or acting upon ones own desires and self-will.  The authority, glory, ownership, and sovereignty of GOD are absolute and supreme.  To our Creator and Maker, we are like babies who—whether they know it or not; like it or not; understand it or not—must become toilet trained and learn obedience, or puppies that must be house broken and become responsive to a leash.  As with every little one, for both believers and sinners, forbearance, forgiveness, longsuffering, patience, mercy, and restraint must be exercised; and GOD is first revealed and made known through those things, rather than covenants, doctrine, and preaching.  Even so, mankind is being trained to develop and grow in agreement with divine law, and according to fixed and predetermined patterns that allow life experiences upon the earth that will prepare the living to permanently exist in the presence of GOD.  Mortality will be ended, and the frameworks of time and space also must be suspended, or even, eliminated.  Those who think they are existing in a world created by “accident” and “evolution”, are operating under the influence of sin that can defile, deceive, pollute and dominate awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures.  Without a fresh endowment of spirit content from the makeup of GOD (e.g., faith, gratitude, holiness, humility, meekness, wisdom, wrath against sin), sinners do not achieve sacred knowledge, and so continue to behave displaying delusion, disbelief, error, exaggerated pride, immaturity, and presumption.  Consider again the following:

(1.)  1st Corinthians 3:  16-20, King James Version (KJV):  16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?  17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.  18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.  19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.  20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

(2.)  Numbers 15:  29-31, KJV:  29 Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.  30 But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.  31 Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.

(3.)  Romans 12:  1-3, KJV:  1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  2 And be not conformed to this world:  but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Psalms 19:  12-14, KJV:  12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.  13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me:  then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.  14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, points are shared on current issues in social media, and American liberty in the light of Jesus Christ dying upon the cross.  Arbitrary differences (we say, accidents, chance, or random conditions and events), individuality, and divisiveness continually threaten to alter policy, popularity, and standards within modern States, and even within our own homes.  (Included are characteristics and vital statistics describing the population such as density, distribution, growth rate; ethnic origins; regional customs; and even success for local athletes and their teams.)  Empathy, law, mutuality, reciprocity, and trust are the most fundamental and essential principles for strong communities, families, global leadership, secure nations, and covenant relationships that include marriage, peace treaties, and trade agreements.  Thus, the following words spoken by Jesus accurately describe what transforms a diverse multitude into a recognizable commonwealth:  “And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.”  (See Luke 6:  31, King James Version (KJV). )  One of the many fighters at “Yahoo! What do Atheists think about this transgender teen boy who thinks he is a girl was allowed to participate in a girls track meet?

“In Alaska, a boy who thinks he’s a girl is allowed to participate in the girls’ track meet, and he wins. The girls are not happy, but are not quite sure how to express their protest since they don’t want to be branded as bigots for calling a boy a boy when that boy wants to be called a girl.”

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20)

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.  For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.  For even hereunto were ye called:  because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:  Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:  Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness:  by whose stripes ye were healed.  For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.  (1st Peter 2:  19-25, KJV)

“Anonymous”, may I share a brief comment, here, despite being far from “atheist” and “transgender”.  With the unique understanding that comes by acknowledging the death of Jesus Christ dying upon the cross, for many mature Christian believers, the various conflicts and disputes we now see in the public forum come down to the opposition of arbitrary differences, fashions, personal preferences and things that frequently undergo change as well as traditions that are man-made, social and temporary in contrast to things described by divine law, sacred principles and spirit content along with things that are fixed and permanent (we say, eternal, everlasting) expressing divinity and spirituality.  What many in America regard as our special “liberty” and joy as a nation is the freedom to exercise conscience, work hard, fulfill our duties and answer our obligations, and then to indulge our private dreams, fantasies, and “flights of imagination.”  It is true:  We have had great fun within our homeland following much hard work; and this is counted as natural order.  Therefore, the prosperity and stability of our nation continues grounded upon such shared values as acceptance of others despite differences; acknowledgment of an equality that extends to all who live; mutual respect; assisting one another to meet common needs; heartfelt love, sincerity, and genuine tolerance as well as regard for the many forms of animal and human life that include the unborn.  Consider again the following points from the Bible that many feel also  correctly speak to the blessings, hope and spirit of America:

(1.)  Isaiah 61:  1-3, King James Version (KJV):  1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;  2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;  3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

(2.)  Psalms 119:  41-46, KJV:  41 Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word.  42 So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me:  for I trust in thy word.  43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.  44 So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.  45 And I will walk at liberty:  for I seek thy precepts.

There is far more that should be carefully said, thoughtfully examined, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (3.)  James 2:  10-13, KJV:  10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.  11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.  12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.  13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.)  Even so, I am sure this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Discipline, duty, spirit growth, and parenting are topics, today.  Christian parents are wise to correctly teach their children the meaning of accountability, accepting discipline, interdependence, and mutual obligation.  Often, the living must rely upon discipline and “staying the course” for survival during crises, emergencies, and extreme conditions, rather than upon courage, emotion, opinions, and sentiment.  It is discipline that allows us to embrace new experiences, and to face the future as if we have no fear or uncertainty.  Only by discipline do we continue to function effectively in spite of disappointments, errors, personal losses, the unexpected, and tragedies.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:

My parents grounded me for refusing to read scriptures with them and say a prayer with them at bedtime. Isn’t that ridiculous?

My parents said that I’m being rebellious and letting Satan into my life. That’s not it…I just wasn’t in the mood to read and pray. I had a bad day and wanted to go to sleep. After my parents told me that I was going to be grounded for refusing I told them that I would do what they wanted, but it was already too late. I read scriptures and prayed with them, but I still got grounded. I don’t think it’s fair for me to be in trouble over something like this.

Update: I’m 13 and its summer break. I don’t want to be grounded. I’m going to try to do what my parents want so that they will end it.

Update 2: Oleg: I don’t care if you believe me or not.

Update 3: Thanks for the answers everyone. I need to get off the computer now. My parents will be mad if they see that I’m on the computer and not in bed. I’m not supposed to be on the computer right now. 😦

Update 4: A few of these answers are a little ridiculous…

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:  which is the second death.  (Revelation 21:  7-8, KJV)

“Anonymous”, mature Christian believers understand that the death of Jesus Christ upon the cross has also been a divine demonstration of the discipline mankind must achieve to fulfill the possibilities of eternal life.  Most minor children and many parents do not properly understand that “discipline” means practice, preparation, self-control, and training—rather than “punishment”, “reprimand” or “scolding”.  Obedience is demonstrated through discipline; and is one of the highest expressions of love seen in the wedding vows because, “to obey” is to put asides ones own desires and to perform the will of another.  More than by commitment, or on the basis of what one likes and prefers, success in carrying out adult responsibilities that include sexual purity and restraint, marriage, family life, military service, and various vocations results from having discipline, endurance, and the will to persevere.  It is not unreasonable that parents expect their children to be capable of demanding from themselves efforts and responses that contribute to the well-being of their shared home, its honor, quality, and value.  However, parents often do so expressing their own feelings, rather than correctly acknowledging the faithfulness and maturity and of their child.  Consider again how some of this is stated in language from the Scriptures:

(1.)   Proverbs 22:  4-6, King James Version (KJV):  4 By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.  5 Thorns and snares are in the way of the froward:  he that doth keep his soul shall be far from them.  6 Train up a child in the way he should go:  and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

(2.)  Proverbs 9:  6-10, KJV:  6 Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.  7 He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame:  and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.  8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee:  rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.  9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser:  teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.  10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom:  and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

(3.)  Hebrews 5:  5-10, KJV:  5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.  6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.  7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;  8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;  9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;  10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

There is far more that should be carefully said, thoughtfully examined, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  Hebrews 12:  3-8, KJV:  3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.  4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.  5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:  6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.  7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?  8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.)  Even so, I am sure this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
