Another Comforter

Tina L. Connor Think On These Things… (image reference below).

Today, reply is on the action and work of the Holy Spirit whom Jesus Christ sends to his church on the earth to continue the ministry of redemption and salvation. Jesus spoke of the divine agent he would send to the church from the Godhead as “the Comforter,” suggesting the primary role of the Spirit would be to help the flock endure the loss of the Good Shepherd. Other names given the Spirit (e.g., the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Grace, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth), make it clear that just as there are many gifts bestowed by the Spirit, there are many tasks and sacred works carried out by the Holy Spirit beyond addressing bereavement, uncertainty, and the absence of the Lord. The active presence himself from the Father and Son was the power the church needed to complete the work of displaying the image of Christ, global evangelism, and spreading the Gospel to all the world, fulfilling the Great Commission. It is written: Matthew 10: 16-22, King James Version (KJV): 16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. 17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; 18 And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. 19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. 20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. 21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. 22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. What does it mean that the Holy Spirit comforts you?

John 14:16-17

THE GOLDEN ARROW: And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. (Acts 4: 29-33, King James Version, KJV)

Anonymous”, to obtain mercy sinners must enter into judgment; to obtain comfort, believers must enter into unselfish service and suffering. In the same way the Father and the Holy Spirit encouraged, reinforced and supported the ministry of divinity appearing on the earth using form and flesh (we say, the Incarnation as Jesus Christ), the Holy Spirit is the primary agent and representative of Jesus Christ as the High Priest in heaven who continues to build up, edify, and nourish the living body of divinity on the earth that is the church. Multiple sacred works are being performed to complete the transformation whereby created beings and living creatures will exist as immortal, incorruptible companions of the divine fullness (i.e., the Godhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit). Sinners who turn to GOD through Jesus Christ are to receive a fresh endowment of life essence (breath; spirit; word). Inseparable spirit substance from the makeup of GOD is provided that establishes such elements as balance, faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, wisdom, wrath against sin, and zeal.

Atonement, forgiveness, judgment, eternal life and many of the works of GOD to recover and preserve Creation require that mankind receive deposits of spirit substance and perform works of tarrying, waiting, and witnessing sacred events that are to be completed by GOD. The comfort mankind must receive from divinity goes beyond the human condition as carnal, material, political, and social. More than hugs, kisses, drying our tears, and personal responses of affection are needed. Thus, divinity uses the frameworks of time and space when communicating, exchanging, and interacting with mankind; however, human life must be acknowledged as brief, episodic, lacking continuity, and unstable. Divine mechanisms are being shared that permit mortal beings to operate in relationship with GOD as though the frequent interruptions of appetite, emotion, sickness, and death do not occur. Included are assurance, atonement, covenant, dynasty, family, forgiveness, inheritance, longevity, pledge, prophecy, rebirth, resurrection from the dead, vision, and revelation.

Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

1. 2nd Corinthians 1: 2-7, King James Version (KJV): 2 Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.  5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. 6 And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. 7 And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.

2. 2nd Corinthians 7: 1-4, KJV: 1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man. 3 I speak not this to condemn you: for I have said before, that ye are in our hearts to die and live with you. 4 Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 3. 1st Thessalonians 4: 13-18, KJV: 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, that marriage relationships are to be vessels containing divine spirit comes into view.  Many of the elements for the authority and power seen through mature love and lasting marriage relationships must be imparted from divinity as inseparable aspects of the divine makeup.  Included are commitment, duration, faith, gratitude, humility, jealousy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, and wisdom.  The writer at “Yahoo! Answers (New Zealand)” using the ID “Alucard” (Level 1 with 2 points, a member since May 02, 2016) posted the following:

Is marriage a religious thing?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.  (Isaiah 59:  21, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Thoughts on Sexual Relationships (03/07/2017); Law Requires Genuine Righteousness (07/28/2016); The Wife of Your Youth? (12/22/2015); The Church as a Bride? (05/15/2013); How Do I Repent? (05/16/2013); A Life Companion? (11/07/2012); On Asking Why (11/08/2012)

“Alucard”, among Christian believers and within the body of Christ (i.e., the church), holy matrimony is a sacred practice (we say, sacrament) along with baptism, confession, penance, and sharing the blood and body of Jesus using the emblems of bread and wine.  For Christian believers, the marriage relationship between a man and a woman is a special tool used by GOD to accomplish multiple divine operations.  Included are Incarnation (the appearance of divinity using flesh and material form), prophecy (we say, comfort, edification, and exhortation), redemption, revelation, and sanctification.  For believers, then, holy matrimony is a gift from GOD; and the meaning and value of “marriage” is not merely carnal, material, sexual, or social.  Through operations of the imparted, indwelling Spirit from the makeup of GOD, holy matrimony will display upon earth the active presence who is GOD enthroned in heaven.  Because sexual joining occurs on many different levels all at the same time (emotional, physical, psychological, spiritual), there are divine provisions to provide balance, correction, healing, security, and stability.  The joining of spirits that occur through sexual intercourse and through fornication can result in defilement, domination, and a peculiar impotence of a person’s inborn spirit.  Holy matrimony is a tool to establish, continue, and fulfill divine law, sacred inheritance, eternal purpose, and immutable promise.  Consider the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Genesis 2:  18, King James Version (KJV):  18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

(2.)  1st Corinthians 7:  1-4, KJV:  1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me:  It is good for a man not to touch a woman.  2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.  3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence:  and likewise also the wife unto the husband.  4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband:  and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

(3.)  1st Peter 3:  1-4, KJV:  1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;  2 While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.  3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;  4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.) 1st Peter 3:  7-9, KJV:  7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.  8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:  9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing:  but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is made to the mistaken notion that the value of the Lord’s death upon the cross is made less by his resurrection.  The divine use of elements familiar among mankind such as blood, death, and sacrifice must be understood within a framework of non-negotiable law, love, sacred process, and eternal purpose.  Consider again the following from the Bible, and the response appearing below:  1st Corinthians 1:  17-19, King James Version (KJV):  17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel:  not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.  18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.  19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.  Also, Galatians 2:  19-21, KJV:  19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.  20 I am crucified with Christ:  nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:  and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.  21 I do not frustrate the grace of God:  for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.  Hebrews 12:  1-4, KJV:  1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,  2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.  3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.  4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers (Malaysia)” using the ID “TheistSlayer” (Level 4 with 3,500 points, a member since August 20, 2015) posted the following:

If Jesus came back to life, doesn’t that make the “He died for your sins” thing kind of worthless?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;  That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:  But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.  For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;  Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;  And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:  And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.  For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.  Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;  And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;  In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:  In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.  (Ephesians 2:  11-22, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Power Against Sin? (04/12/2015); Gall Refused on the Cross? (03/20/2015); The Agony of Death? (03/21/2015); The Sin Covered By Salvation? (12/28/2014); Mortality Is Required Because of Sin (12/29/2014); The Power of Death? (10/01/2013); Divine Love Revealed? (10/02/2013)

“TheistSlayer”, for Christian believers it is a worthless notion that the resurrection of Jesus Christ may annul or cancel the gifts of GOD that are imparted Spirit, eternal life, redemption, and salvation.  Genuine understanding of divinity and its workings upon the earth through mankind require sacred knowledge that emerges only by the existence of spirit matter.  Things made up entirely of spirit can not be communicated about, perceived, or known to exist using only such finite human tools as intellect, language, logic, philosophy, and science.  Thus, disciples of Christ must receive a fresh deposit of spirit content from the makeup of Deity to correctly apprehend the cross, the ascension, and the Advent.

The conversation must become one that also attributes active presence, love, eternal purpose, and divine prerogative to divinity.  The full set of operations whereby the invisible personness of GOD is made known and seen by created beings and living creatures includes atonement, birth, death, forgiveness, incarnation, judgment, repentance, resurrection, and sanctification as well as perdition and the second death.  Believers are equipped with an imparted, indwelling spirit having the character and nature of GOD.  Inseparable aspects of divinity should appear such as faith, forbearance, holiness, longsuffering, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

How and what we speak become an indication of inner change, and the operations and power of GOD influencing our consciousness and will.  Just as sin dominates created beings and living creatures through their awareness and self-will, the divine substance establishing existence also must generate our perceptions of truth, and the fixed patterns we employ to communicate, exchange, and interact.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, the problems to our understanding the deeds that have been performed on our behalf by Christ, and the further actions being taken by divinity through the Holy Spirit mostly result by our dependence upon carnal, material and social reality.  The believer must make a clean break, and be set apart for exclusive service to GOD.  Their entire internal system of interrelated desires, feelings, goals and thoughts must be replaced.  Thus, we say, there must be permanent change and transformation:  “You must be born again.”)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Forgiveness, human pride, and divine power are in view, today.  A fighter at “Yahoo! Answer UK and Ireland” using the ID “PeteThePrenuptialAg” (Level 1 with points, a member since September 28, 2014) posted the following:

Does the fact that I can forgive without conditions and God can’t mean that in some way I am more powerful than God?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.  Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin—; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.  And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.  Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto thee:  behold, mine Angel shall go before thee:  nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them.  And the LORD plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.  (Exodus 32:  31-35, KJV)

“PeteThePrenuptialAg”, here are a few points to consider that Christian believers use to maintain their correct understanding:

(1.)  The way a person answers one question affects the way they will answer every other question, because a pattern of interlocking truth must eventually emerge, or they will emotionally, intellectually and mentally collapse from confusion.  Christians are those who respond using a tested system of belief (i.e., a comprehensive, unchanging pattern of ideas, practices, and values that has been used by many different people, in many different cultures, over the course of centuries) initiated by GOD appearing in the person of Jesus Christ.

(2.)  Created beings and living creatures all possess awareness and self-will; and are subject to appetite (e.g., hunger, thirst, sexual cravings), sensation (hearing, tasting, touching, seeing), and emotional/mental states (e.g., anger, desire, fear, imagination, recall).  All are vulnerable to a non-material, non-spirit influence that is called “sin”.  Sin opposes the existence of divine law, of the divine law giver, and of the divine order that maintains the known universe.

(3.)  Divine power to forgive must come from GOD.  Apologies, expressions that arises from etiquette or good manners, forgiveness that comes by changeable human feelings and social norms are all temporal, and only last for a short duration within the framework of time.  As finite responses, none have power to counteract or permanently eliminate the operations of sin.  Through the ministry of Jesus, believers are given a fresh endowment of spirit content from the makeup of divinity.  Included are inseparable aspects of divinity such as faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, humility, love, longsuffering, truth, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

Of course, there is far more to be said and understood, before all the things of spirit can be correctly apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Men in the earth can not alter the record of human deeds that exists before GOD as the Book of Life.  The blood of Jesus can blot out a record of sin.  Humans can not cleanse one another of sin; yet, believers are given authority and privilege to declare and acknowledge (witness) forgiveness from GOD.  We only may proclaim the provision by GOD of atonement and propitiation for sin, the recorded promises, and the comfort we ourselves are receiving as those trusting on the basis of our own spirit content.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Parables, prophecy, and the kingdom of GOD are topics, today.  Also, there is more on the dominion of Christ over the earth.  A writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Miracles Happen” (Level 3 with 1,315 points, a member since October 01, 2013) posted the following:

Do the Parables of Jesus ,about the kingdom?

Connect the dots for you?

Ok! Let me explain, Many of Jesus Parables started , The kingdom of heaven is like… eg, Mustard seed , Sower in the field., etc
It occurs to me that Jesus was actually using everyday illustrations ,that we see in nature, and life, to explain Creation and heaven.

God is a god of order, not confusion., So when Jesus is explaining heaven and earth He is giving us a blue-print for what we find in heaven.,and is visable in the Earth.
It sounds like its a growing enviroment.

Thats my take on it! what do you think?

THE BATTLE AXE:  The Ruler Of the Earth? (05/01/2014)—(5.)  Men in the earth have been repeatedly tested by Satan; however, not without spiritual provisions and support from GOD.  Even Jesus was challenged, for Satan offered the Savior earthly glory, power, property, and wealth on condition that Jesus worship him.  While Jesus was followed by crowds of thousands, the Savior did not seek earthly fame and fortune.  The Savior did not seek celebrity, popularity, and installation as a king, appointment as a high government official, or privilege as an elected politician.  Jesus worked to coalesce the scattered deposits of spirit matter that continued to exist among those in covenant with GOD.  Using unseen authority and power such as is found in gratitude, humility, personal sacrifice, and unselfish service, Jesus accomplished a fulfillment of an eternal word spoken by GOD to the serpent in the Garden of Eden, that was also overheard and witnessed by Adam.  As illustrated by the accounts of Job and Joshua the high priest, harassment by Satan continues only for divine purposes and within limits determined by GOD.  By the atoning blood of the cross and the Savior’s glorious resurrection, Satan was effectively stripped of all heavenly and earthy estate.  The Adversary will not have authority, prestige, and status as a prince or ruler, who may accuse and bear witness against others in judgment.  When cast into the Lake of Fire, he will have lost all divine content that provided the features of angelic being.  Included are credibility, dependability, faithfulness, fidelity, self-will, trustworthiness, and verity.  Consider again Exodus 23:  20-22, Job 1 & 2, Ezekiel 34:  11-13, Zechariah 3:  1-3, Matthew 9:  35-36, Luke 4:  5-8, John 3:  31-36, James 4:  7, Jude 1:  6, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:  Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.  And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.  And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there:  go not after them, nor follow them.  For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.  (Luke 17:  20-24, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  A Culture of Judgment? (03/20/2014); Beyond Punishment (03/21/2014); Unprofitable Servants? (01/19/2014); An Unshakeable Kingdom? (11/26/2013); Why Jesus Used Parables (11/03/2013); Denying Baptism to Others (11/04/2013); Speaking of GOD (10/20/2010)

“Miracles Happen”, here are a few points that many find helpful when making study of the parables:

(1.)  Jesus explained that the use of parables was intended as what we would call a “screening” device that would activate divine processes of spiritual discernment.  Believers were to be identified on the basis of the spirit matter contained in their awareness and displayed through their self-will.  In this sense, the parables were more than merely a tool for scriptural clarifications and instruction; the parables were used for evaluation and judgment.

(2.)  The kingdom Jesus talks about is that first spoken of by Moses; later described in the earlier prophecies of Daniel, Isaiah, and others; promised through covenant with David; and proclaimed through John the Baptist.  The divine kingdom prepared by GOD is a spiritual condition, a set of ongoing divine operations, and a manifesting of eternal purposes.  The kingdom is not a geographical location, a physical place, a geopolitical state, or a finite territory (we say, bounded real property).

There is a lot more to be said, correctly put into place, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  Where governments and kingdoms are usually operations of law, the kingdom of GOD is to be experienced as an intimate relationship with divinity, and so we speak of becoming sons and daughters of GOD.  Aspects of the spirit makeup for created beings and living creatures must be permanently altered.  For mankind, there must be a new conception of GOD that comes by revelation, and reconstructs ones self-awareness as well.  Eternal life through the ministries of Jesus Christ that begins by water baptism (death of ones inborn nature, rebirth from divine DNA, so to speak) requires the perfection of mankind (we say, finished transformation; maturity):  There is to be balance, immortality, and incorruptibility.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith, and your integrity as a genuine believer.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.  (1st Peter 5:  8-9, KJV)
