Christ and the Rich Young Ruler by Heinrich Hoffman (1824-1911)

Today, reply is to a developing believer who was asked to lead the women’s ministry program within a congregation where she faces challenges and testing despite that her parent is the pastor. In all things there must be gradual growth and learning. Properly understood, his daughter has spent all her life preparing—not for an opportunity to lead others—for an opportunity to follow by serving the Lord. Rather than academic credentials, professional experience, or special social skills, the fundamental requirements for those serving one another within the body of believers are that one resemble, reflect and reveal the character and likeness of Jesus Christ. Inseparable aspects of the divine fullness should be displayed including balance, commitment, decisiveness (the ability to make and hold to sound choices without showing stubbornness), faith, holiness, humility, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, perseverance, unselfishness, wisdom, and wrath against sin. It is written: Matthew 23: 11-13, King James Version (KJV): 11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. 12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. 13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. If my dad (the pastor) thinks I am ready to lead the women’s ministry…why are the other women at our church questioning my ability to lead?

My dad is the new pastor at our Fundamental Baptist Church, and he wants me to lead the women’s ministry, even though I have no leadership skills whatsoever. I am only 22, and I am the youngest among the adults of our church. My dad also knows that I am not ready, and he only appointed me this role because I am his daughter, and he doesn’t trust anyone else.

Updated 2 hours ago:

However, I will trust my father’s judgment, and if he thinks I am ready…then I am ready.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. (James 1: 2-8, KJV)

Sparkles”, where we seek counsel from Jesus, it is often best first to turn to either the Scriptures or to our private prayer chamber. Many of the challenges and problems we face will be resolved by careful meditation and reflection during prayer and study. The Bible presents many excellent examples of women who also were challenged to serve; choose to portray one of them. Included are Mary the sister of Lazarus, Mary Madalene, Dorcas, and Lydia. Where others have the knowledge and skill you yourself lack, seek their advice, their service, and their support in the Lord. The following scriptures are from the epistle written by the Apostle Paul instructing Timothy to recruit and ordain officers for the early church. Rather than continue relying on evangelists, fugitives from persecution and itinerant preachers, a core of Bishops and deacons were to be ordained as part of a stable structure to carryout the tasks of ministry.

(1.) 1st Timothy 4: 16, King James Version (KJV): 16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

(2.) 1st Timothy 4: 6-7, KJV: 6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. 7 But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.

(3.) 1st Timothy 4: 12, KJV: 12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, from the music ministry of Pastor Donnie McClurkin, “I’ll Trust You, Lord” (4.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is on the “sneak preview” divinity has provided through the holy writings that makes heaven known and approachable to those on the earth. The character of hope among Christians is very similar to that for divine law, and is presented and preserved through the Scriptures. Hope is the expectation believers are commanded to maintain as the focus of their awareness and self-will; and, like sacred law, divine promise, and prophecy yet unfulfilled, hope expresses the eternal purpose and sovereign will of divine fullness. It is written: Romans 15: 4, King James Version (KJV): 4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion and Spirituality who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:

If God really wants people to become Christians, shouldn’t he offer them a sneak preview of heaven?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. (Revelation 22: 1-6, King James Version, KJV)

Anonymous”, divinity already has provided a “sneak preview” of heaven through the holy writings that provide a record of divinity using thousands of events, within thousands of lives, over the course of thousands of years. Without guidance and spirit matter provided from GOD, sacred events (miracles) cause anxiety, fear, and spiritual confusion, not commitment, faith, and sacred expectation (i.e., hope). As we see with the resurrection of Jesus Christ, because of the process and substance of spirit, only those chosen and prepared through operations of GOD are granted the privilege to be aware and responsive to certain levels of sacred truth. Developing and mature Christian believers accept that the Scriptures are a primary tool for their consciousness and experience of divine truth; and that multiple operations and procedures are being used by divine fullness (we also say, divinity; the Godhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit) to make the celestial sphere of sacred presence knowable, approachable, and “visible”. In addition to testimonies and eyewitness reports of their own actual experiences, the holy writings contain accounts of dreams, prophetic proclamations, and visions provided by GOD to communicate with the living on the earth. Included are reports from the Patriarchs such as Abraham, Jacob, Moses, and the Prophet Daniel as well as accounts from the apostles of Jesus Christ. The Incarnation of divinity using human form was to prepare mankind to exist as a vessel of spirit substance imparted from the makeup of GOD. Sinners who turn to GOD through the ministry of Jesus Christ receive a fresh endowment of the same life essence (breath; spirit; word) received by Adam at Creation. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

1. Genesis 28: 10-14, King James Version (KJV): 10 And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran. 11 And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. 12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. 13 And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; 14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

2. Genesis 28: 16-18, KJV: 16 And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not. 17 And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven. 18 And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.

3. Isaiah 6: 1-10, KJV: 1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. 4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. 5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. 6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: 7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. 8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. 9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. 10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, the words of Jesus answering Nicodemus, an elder from the Temple at Jerusalem, who came to him by night to avoid being condemned as a follower of Jesus: 4. John 3: 11-12, KJV: 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

The image above depicts the first resurrection of the dead at the Second Coming.

Today, reply is on how those alive now are to prepare for the sacred events that will occur at the Second Coming of Jesus (we also say, Advent; his appearing; the harvest; the Rapture). The followers of Jesus have been given many assurances (for example, the following from Titus 2: 11-14, King James Version (KJV): 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.) One of the many fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion and Spirituality who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile is shared) posted this question:

How to prepare to the rapture?

Some people are doing letters to the left behind.

What to do with things, bank account etc?

Should the saved not buy new things?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4: 5-8, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Salvation Must Be Eternal (11/06/2018); A Short Time Left (10/30/2018); Judgment Will Occur Forever (10/10/2018); Christian Beliefs Are Forward-looking (09/23/2018); Believers Must Become “Ripe” (09/02/2018); Why Paul Observed Tradition (07/10/2018); “The End Is Near” (03/14/2018); Duties of a Christian? (03/13/2018); The Coming(s) of Christ (03/11/2018); Loving Someone Unseen? (05/03/2014); Lot and the Angels (05/04/2014)

Anonymous”, for those alive today, here are some points that mature Christian believers are willing to consider:

1. The full gospel, ministry, and testimony in his blood by Jesus Christ provided to prepare mankind for the divine works of their final judgment and transformation to exist as companions to GOD is a finished sacred work, and nothing need be added to it. Believers are to continue in communion with one another and with divinity through godliness, praise, prayer, sharing, unselfish service, and suffering.

2. Sinners who become “born again” also are to “grow up again” (mature; ripen). As developing believers, and the new creation of Jesus Christ those in repentance must undergo permanent changes that include coming under the atoning blood of Christ; conforming to the image of Christ (we also say, displaying Christ-likeness); embracing eternal purpose; and adopting sacred practices (e.g., baptism, childbearing, confession, marriage, prophecy, sanctification).

3. All who belong to Christ will receive and serve as vessels containing a fresh endowment of inseparable spirit substance from the makeup of GOD. Included are faith, forbearance, forgiveness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, vigilance, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 4. Through admonitions, cautions, prophecy and warnings, Christian believers have been commanded and foretold the sacred events to expect (i.e., what to hope for) throughout the holy writings. Thus, Romans 8: 5-9, King James Version (KJV): 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

The Soon Coming of Jesus

A depiction of Jesus Christ appearing to harvest the earth.

Today, reply is on the preparation by Christian believers to receive the soon coming of Jesus Christ. The sacred process of becoming ready to greet the Lord at the meeting in the air on surface is merely one of tarrying and waiting, yet, more correctly discerned is one of abiding in blessing, continuing gradual growth, and giving glory and honor to divinity through praise and unselfish service. It is written 1st John 3: 2-3, King James Version (KJV): 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. The writer at “Yahoo! Answers” in the Religion and Spirituality forum using the ID “Your Word is a light to my roadway” (Level 7 with 36,328 points, a member since April 05, 2010) posted the following:

What are you going to do with the very short time we have left? Jesus Christ’s return is soon.?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near: So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. (Mark 13: 28-37, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Christian Beliefs Are Forward-looking (09/23/2018); Believers Must Become “Ripe” (09/02/2018); “The End Is Near” (03/14/2018); Duties of a Christian? (03/13/2018); On Facing The Future (01/17/2018); Heaven Temporal, GOD Eternal (12/12/2017); Sharing The Correct Message (01/30/2017); About The End Of The World (08/30/2015); Loving Someone Unseen? (05/03/2014); Lot and the Angels (05/04/2014)

Your Word is a light to my roadway”, rather than anxiety, fear, and uncertainty the followers of Jesus are embracing awe, fear of the Lord, and hope (commanded expectations). Mature Christian believers all do not hold that there are specific activities and works (e.g., church attendance; door to door ministry; regular Bible study; tithing) that are to be performed up to the time of his appearing (we also say, the Advent; the first resurrection; the harvesting from the earth of those belonging to Christ; the Second Coming); and many discern that there is an ongoing spiritual struggle against disbelief, sin, and wickedness. All developing Christians are commanded to maintain a lifestyle and daily routines that display repentance, respect, and vigilance. The works carried out by believers are not to earn or secure their own salvation so much as to express gratitude; to further build up, edify, and spiritually nourish the body of believers; and to share the things from GOD with others. By their works believers give evidence of Christ in the life, and continue the actualities of faith, divine law, and sacred possibilities as well as eternal purpose, promise, and prophecy. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.) Romans 12: 1-2, King James Version (KJV): 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

(2.) 2nd Timothy 1: 7, KJV: 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

(3.) Ephesians 2: 8-10, KJV: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

(4.) James 2: 18-20, KJV: 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (5.) Ephesians 6: 12-16, KJV: 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, points are shared on Pharaoh of Egypt and the divine preparation given those who left Egypt with Moses.  A “Yahoo! Answers” fighter using the ID “Oscar You re a grouch” (Level 1 with 21 points, a member since March 21, 2013) posted the following:

Why did god harden the pharaoh a heart?

Was he desperate for some spilt blood that day? Does he like killing more than saving?
Update : Noah’s ark suggests he does

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Upon his ruin shall all the fowls of the heaven remain, and all the beasts of the field shall be upon his branches:  To the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves for their height, neither shoot up their top among the thick boughs, neither their trees stand up in their height, all that drink water: for they are all delivered unto death, to the nether parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with them that go down to the pit.  Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when he went down to the grave I caused a mourning:  I covered the deep for him, and I restrained the floods thereof, and the great waters were stayed:  and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him.  I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth.  They also went down into hell with him unto them that be slain with the sword; and they that were his arm, that dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the heathen.  To whom art thou thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet shalt thou be brought down with the trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth:  thou shalt lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord GOD.  (Ezekiel 31:  13-18, KJV)

“Oscar You re a grouch”, here are some points shared among Christian believers who use their own faith and other spirit content from GOD to examine the things recorded in the holy writings:

(1.)  Pharaoh was used by GOD as a tool to demonstrate to Israel and all mankind unseen aspects of the human condition, the nature of divinity, and the opposing presence of sin.  The tribes of Jacob were being entered into a process of permanent change, restoration, temptation (we say, challenge, testing, trial), and transformation.

(2.)  In addition to explanations and warnings through things that occurred in the very beginning of Creation, all were to be prepared and strengthened through sacred events (we say, miracles) and judgment (resolution of conflict and settlement of disputes through law) that would make visible and reveal their own true nature, the operations of sin as well as divine intent, sacred process, and eternal purpose .

(3.)  Just as GOD proclaimed his name (we say, his accomplishments, how he is to be known and spoken of, his reputation) to Moses the Deity is revealed to Pharaoh and all of Egypt as a sovereign ruler and judge.  Egypt existed as a one-world empire controlling or influencing the economy and lifestyle of every other nation.  Pharaoh had proclaimed himself a god; and was shown to be both an idol (an object having no divine content, yet, revered and worshiped), and an adversary of the true GOD.

(4.)  The figure of Pharaoh appears as a type used to present various major themes within Scripture.  In the same way Adam was to exercise dominion over all the earth that served as a seat of divine power (we say, throne), and the primary sphere of life for humanity, we repeatedly see all mankind and Satan striving to have authority, control, possession, and presence within the earth.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  Learning to repeat the ABC’s is not enough for a child to read and write.  You must learn to combine and recombine the individual letters, and master comprehension.  Similarly, the things of GOD for those who left Egypt, wandered in the wilderness, and entered into the Promised Land were all a preamble to the coming of Jesus, the establishment of salvation, and the bestowing of eternal life.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to the measure of your faith.

How would Christians like to spend eternity worshipping God?

Because that’s what heaven is like. Its not a place where you meet your family and friends and be free. Its a place of worship.

THE BATTLE AXE:  Why Were We Sent Here? (07/20/2014)—(5.)  Mankind was not “sent” to earth as an accident or an experiment; and the earth was not created to serve as a battlefield, a hospital, a practice area, a “proving ground,” a test lab, or a form of punishment by separation from GOD (such as was brought against those who lost their first estate in heaven).  The earth was specifically created as the sphere of life having conditions that would support the continued existence of  mankind.  Because many conceive their existence as independent both from GOD and from the earth, the world has been created by mankind to maintain communication, exchange, and survival.  The world system provides beliefs, meanings and values for the living, and deals with the earth as a disposable object, not as ones origin, ones home, or any organic aspect of oneself.  Through the operations of sin, mankind now abuses and misapplies the devices and mechanisms that were intended by divinity as benefit.  Included are authority, divine law, dominion, hierarchy, judgment, the Tree of Life, and truth.  Apart from GOD, created beings and living creatures must be deprived of various blessings, gifts, possibilities, and tools.  As a result, mankind is often challenged, confused, destroyed, and frustrated.  The many sacred purposes of salvation include preparing mankind to be immortal and incorruptible, and to live forever upon the earth.  See Isaiah 45:  18, Jude 1:  6, 1st Timothy 2:  13-15, Galatians 6:  7-8, Psalms 37:  8-10, Jeremiah 27:  4-5 and Isaiah 65:  17-23, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.  And the four beasts said, Amen.  And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.  (Revelation 5:  13-14, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Meaning of Worship? (07/09/2014); To Serve GOD Acceptably (07/10/2014); Attending Church? (11/12/2012); Unwelcome Gifts? (09/17/2012); Does Believing Make It Happen? (09/18/2012); What is Worship? (10/18/2010); No Free Will (10/19/2010)

“The Green Machine”, here are a few points to consider that you may have overlooked:

(1.)  Worship and operating in accordance with ones own spirit content from GOD are contrary to dependence upon ones animal nature and regularly operating after the flesh.  Human awareness and self-will may be dominated and driven by such aspects as appetite (e.g., hunger, sexual cravings, thirst), sensation (e.g., hearing, seeing, tasting, touching), emotional/mental functioning (e.g., anxiety, desire, fear, imagination, recall) as well as by contact, exchange and social process.

(2.)  Sin does not appear as contrary and foreign to ones own spirit content.  Yet, sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, of GOD as Law Giver, and of all Creation that operates on the basis of divine order.  Sin may control and generate attitudes, behavior and conduct.  Lacking the various provisions of GOD, created beings and living creatures do not detect, recognize or correctly resist the action and presence of sin within their consciousness, and upon their self-will.

(3.)  Those who will worship in heaven first will have undergone a transformation that fits and suits them for an environment of spiritual purity.  They will have been born again, and will have received an endowment of divinity that includes such inseparable features as faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, peace, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  They will have been nourished upon the earth through fellowship with other believers, sacred knowledge by study of the holy writings, and discipline through practice of holy sacraments.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  At the appearing of Jesus Christ, the transformation that has already begun, and is continuing to happen right now, whereby believers become immortal and incorruptible will be completed.  Such beggarly elements as ambition, contradiction, dullness, human error, idleness, indecision, misery, monotony, and mortality will all become a “thing of the past” that will never exist again.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Focus, today, is upon expressions of love for “unseen” divinity.  Also, there is more on parables about the kingdom.  The “Yahoo! Answers” writer using ID “Prowess” (Level 2 with 352 points, a member since March 19, 2013) posted the following:

Why do people say they love god?

I mean, they’ve never met God. How could you truly love someone you’ve never even seen or talked to?

THE BATTLE AXE:  Parables About the Kingdom? (05/02/2014)—(4.)  While we understand that parables serve as verbal illustrations and object lessons, many miss that parable are also to be understood as statements of prophecy.  Many were based upon common experiences in daily life; some were taken from historical events, and familiar Scriptures.  The intent of using parables was not so much to provide full explanations and complete knowledge as to engage hearers, excite curiosity, and establish an appetite for more spiritual matter. (5.)  The kingdom Jesus came to demonstrate and increase can not be correctly described and detailed using only the language, material objects, and processes of human experience.  There must be a peculiar resonance (aspects of oneness and sameness) between the content of being that resides within a person, and that residing within divinity and GODhead.  Jesus himself is a sum and vessel of the kingdom, such that by his Advent and coming, mankind receives divine governance, frameworks for sacred practice (we say, sacraments), and rule without there also having to be a change in eternal law.  Consider Deuteronomy 18:  18-19, Psalms 78:  1-8, Proverbs 1:  5-7, Ezekiel 17:  1-10, Isaiah 14:  3-12 and Revelation 12:  10-12, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:   Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,  To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,  Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.  Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:  That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:  Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:  Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.  (1st Peter 1:  3-10, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  A Personal Relationship? (04/03/2014); GOD Everywhere? (04/04/2014); A Relationship not Just Knowledge? (06/25/2013); Lost Without GOD? (06/26/2013); Desire for Love? (07/05/2013); A GOD of Love? (05/07/2013); Commanding the Storm? (05/08/2013); How To Love GOD? (03/24/2013); A Second Adam? (03/25/2013)

“Prowess”, here are a few points to consider that may help you have a clearer view of Christian belief:

(1.)  For many the process of love to GOD is one of preparation for encounter.  We expect to meet GOD at some point during our full life experience, and so we cleanse, study, and otherwise prepare ourselves.  Think of this as an exciting process of expectation and hope similar to that of a married couple about to have their first child.  Their affection, commitment, and sense of relationship should begin long before the child is actually born.  They begin to examine and decide upon possibilities for their little one, as surely as they prepare a little room, a crib, and articles of clothing.

(2.)  For many the process of love to GOD is one of endurance until reunion.  We are in a painful separation from the Almighty, and so we go about to maintain and strengthen ourselves until we are together again.  Such believers have deep-grained “memories” of divine glory, the beauty of holiness, majesty, and sovereignty.

(3.)  What believers receive by fellowship and participation in study and worship within a congregation is often spoken of as a “foretaste of glory divine.”  Attitudes, behavior, conduct, goals, language and thinking are shared that immerse a believer in experiences of sacred truth.  Otherwise hidden and personal thoughts are found to be shared, and to have their common origin in divine operations, eternal purposes, and correct relationship with GOD.

There is a lot more to be said, correctly put into place, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Carnal love relationships begin in a diffuse recognition of our needs for continuing affection and companionship as well as “what we bring to the table,” and want to offer within a relationship.  Similarly, our responses to divine love begin in recognizing needs, and wanting to make offering.  In the same way we use intellect, logic, and reason to choose what we eat and drink, we should not depend upon the animal aspects of our nature (e.g., appetite, instinct, intuition) to establish and maintain relationships that are healthy, lasting, productive, and satisfying.  We may pursue an informal plan that allows us to experience “chemistry” and fit with candidates for relationship (dating), before committing ourselves to friendship or marriage.  Similarly, believers explore their possibilities for right relationship with GOD.  It is not enough to simply desire to avoid isolation and rejection, or want to escape damnation and hell.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith, and your integrity as a genuine believer.

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God:  therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.  Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be:  but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.  And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.  (1st John 3:  1-3, KJV)

Happy Thanksgiving!  Today, a few points are shared that can be helpful before one is baptized.  Also there is more on atheists, teens, and parenting.  A writer at “Yahoo! Answers Malaysia” using the ID “JG” (Level 1 with 83 points, a member since October 16, 2012) posted the following originally asked at Yahoo Answers United States:

Does a person have to choose a denomination before getting baptized?

Can you be baptized and choose not to be a part of any specific Christian denomination? Or does being baptized in a church of a specific denomination mean you are choosing to be of that sect?

THE BATTLE AXE:  Kicked Out By Parents? (11/27/2013)—It will always be acceptable and correct for parents to establish discipline in the home (we used to say, provide home training) for their children—from feeding a newborn on a schedule that does not require walking the floor odd hours of the night and every time the baby cries, to refusing to breastfeed in every public setting.  The adults are to create and maintain boundaries, limits, and standards that will allow the child a sense of personal being and integrity as well as to acknowledge and respond to the human needs of their caretakers.  Yes, the early training of a child is by imposing a stronger will upon a less developed person; however, the child is not abused thereby, nor made an injured party, a sufferer, or a victim.  For the home also to nourish and prepare the parents for their encounters within the workplace, the marketplace, or even the privacy of their sexual sharing, there must be reasonable order and stability.  Minor children too must acquire skill as they are growing and learning to operate and fulfill ones duty despite their dislikes, likes, and preferences.  Children are to be a help and to provide emotional, psychological and spiritual relief for their parents through displays of enthusiasm, good cheer, kindness, humility, meekness, obedience, and zeal.  It remains that despite advancement of today’s social media and technology, development for teenagers continues to proceed by their asserting maturity without also affirming accountability, their operating without complete and correct information regarding the needs of others, and their risk taking without careful assessment and preparation to meet or address the consequences and outcomes of their actions.  Separation may seem a drastic remedy, at first, however, rightly understood and carried out with compassion, separation can be agreed upon as both the “best possible solution” and unavoidable.  (See Genesis  13:  1-18, Acts 15:  37-39 and 2nd Timothy 3:  1-5, KJV.)

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.  This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.  And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue:  whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.  And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him:  who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:  For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publicly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.  (Acts 18:  24-28, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Why Not One Bible? (11/02/2013); Origin of Baptism? (06/22/2013); Money-changers in the Temple? (06/23/2013); Church is Good? (06/15/2013); Feeling Loved By GOD? (06/16/2013); Church Mandatory? (05/06/2013); A GOD of Love? (05/07/2013); A Spirit Church? (04/04/2013); My Brother’s Keeper (04/05/2013); Attending Church? (11/12/2012); A Holy Kiss? (11/13/2012)

“JG”, here are a few points about baptism and becoming a Christian you should find useful:

(1.)  The thing that first draws us to Jesus Christ may be no more than curiosity such as drew Moses aside one day while he was going in from work.  He wanted to examine more closely something that had caught his eye, a flaming bush that gave off no smell or smoke, that when he had come closer, stopped and gazed on for a bit, continued to burn showing no ashes.  When Moses heard a voice speaking from the burning bush, he did not run away.  Instead, he was even more engaged, was sparked with questions, and desired to know and understand completely before he would walk away.  His intention, at first, was not to go aside to pray, to seek GOD, or to offer himself in service.  Even so, Moses prostrated himself in humility, having received, as it were, baptism by fire.  See Exodus 3:  1-14, KJV.

(2.)   Believers are to receive baptism as an experience wherein the same Spirit operates that served as agent in the creation of the earth, and the establishment of Adam as a living soul.  Baptism is a cosmic work that is not accomplished by human ceremonies, pageantry and rituals, nor by a believer’s intellect, imagination, and knowledge.  While the work of baptism is to purge (i.e., wash inside and out; clean through and through), and purify; baptism must also establish death, and rebirth whereby one acquires divine content (we say, divine DNA).

(3.)  Through baptism believers receive fresh endowment of divine substance.  GOD is a spirit, and does not exist displaying carnal, material, and physical characteristics except by using peculiar divine operations.  The substance of GOD may be described as such inseparable aspects of divinity as faith, forgiveness, gratitude, holiness, joy, truthfulness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  The incarnation of GOD (i.e., appearance using material form) is accepted as having been through a burning bush as well as through the person of Jesus of Nazareth.

There is far more to be said, correctly shared, and spiritually understood.  For example, (4.)  Many denominations provide a church upon the earth for those upon the earth; and give less attention to being aware of sacred actions and divine presence.  A person desiring to become a member within a congregation and community of believers should respond to and trust only those who demonstrate correct, godly, and thorough knowledge of baptism and the many other elements of truth from GOD through Jesus Christ.  By “classes” offered before baptism, one is instructed and prepared for their own sacred transformation as well as given opportunity to determine whether a congregation may supply their personal needs for continued spiritual growth, learning, work and worship.  A pledge or membership agreement should not be entered into and sealed until after some “trial period” (for some, this is called “confirmation“).   A believer is to use the holy writings as the standard whereby one examines and tests the quality of what others may share.  After all, as what happened to Moses, baptism is a life-changing event, not just a tourist attraction, and more than simply social interaction.  Those born again are to learn, grow, and then perform service to GOD by their daily living that will lead others into right relationship with the Almighty.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.  Surely The Light of the World will soon shine forth.  Happy Hanukkah to all.
