Today, reply is on converting others, prophecy, the duty of believers, and the testimony serving as witness from divinity to mankind. The disciples of Jesus are commanded and ordained to proclaim the gospel from GOD to others on the earth. However, rather than a process of verbal exchanges among men, humans lecturing one another, or the divine voice being heard from mountains and from the sky, on earth, the testimony of GOD is shared as an embodiment of spirit content from divinity whereby the living are made Christ-like. Because words whisper and actions shout, believers are to display through their lifestyles and daily routines the spirit substance they contain, and do not serve only by sacred practice (e.g., fasting, praise, prayer, prophecy, suffering). It is written: 1st Corinthians 12: 3, King James Version (KJV): 3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum on Religion and Spirituality who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile is shared) posted the following:

Do Christians have a duty to attempt to persuade non-believers to convert to Christianity?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. (Mark 13: 11, KJV)

Anonymous”, Christian beliefs are not shared as a matter of influencing others, manipulation, and persuasion. Christian believers all are to acknowledge that they have been called and recruited to minister sacred knowledge, spirit gifts, and divine substance on the earth. The finite human tools for such academic and secular focus as argument, debate, carnal reason, and critical thinking may not be relied on for growth and nourishment of ones life essence (breath, spirit, word imparted from the makeup of divinity). Emotions, intellect, and logic are not enough to transform consciousness and self-will (willpower) within the living. Inseparable aspects of divine fullness must be received as fresh deposits and endowments from GOD. Included are faith, forbearance, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, wisdom, and wrath against sin. The testimony from GOD who remains unseen is not merely an authoritative eyewitness account, proclamation, or statement of plain truth; the testimony is an active presence, and we say, an abiding, indwelling Spirit (the Comforter; the Holy Ghost; the Holy Spirit; the Spirit of Prophecy; the Spirit of Truth). With this in view, the birth, death on the cross, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus testify that the operations, purpose, and substance of divinity must be known through spirit existing within ones own character and nature. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible, and a presentation from the music ministry of John Michael Talbot:

(1.) 1st Corinthians 2: 1-5, King James Version (KJV): 1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. 3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

(2.) Romans 8: 15-17, KJV: 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

(3.) 1st John 5: 9-13, KJV: 9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. 10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, the testimony of mankind can be “the Lord is my shepherd”, because the testimony of GOD has been, “This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.”, (4.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s28s0_pAnRY&list=PLN-HWgUQXbLMTSzGiuTABz_u7Lqbc7AF8&index=6&t=0s.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

In Your Presence

Today, reply is on conflicts that regularly appear within the course of Christian ministry, language from the Scriptures, and personal thoughts from the Apostle Paul. In sharing reports of his present condition and the challenges he was facing as a servant of Jesus Christ, Paul confessed that he now was experiencing the holy boldness both to face a martyr’s death, and to appear in tribunal before the judgment seat of Christ. A writer in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion and Spirituality who uses the ID “jane” (Level 1 with 1 point, a member since May 15, 2019) posted the following:

What the Bible meaning Absent from the body and to be present with the Lord ?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. (Romans 12: 1-3, King James Version, KJV)

jane”, many Christian believers understand the language “present with the Lord” is describing when a believer is received by the Lord through death and final judgment to continue dwelling and servicing divinity within the celestial precincts, courts, and mansions of heaven. Those fully present with the Lord are believed in the same relationship with GOD, the same new flesh, and the same new life through resurrection as the Lord Jesus. To be “absent from the body” is understood as no longer being alive in flesh on the earth; and also means to no longer be available to minister to the body of Christ (i.e., the church; the community of believers) through devices that are carnal, material, physical, and social. In two of his epistles, the Apostle Paul expresses a sense of conflict and uncertainty about continuing his own service to the church that has included multiple confrontations with mobs, imprisonment, scourging, and suffering. On the one hand, Paul does not desire death; he is preferring to be with Jesus in the direct presence of GOD the Father, and desires to perform higher, holier works guided by Jesus, the divine High Priest. On the other hand, Paul understands the peculiar needs of the church demand that he and others continue at the various works they have been given through the Holy Ghost; and the Apostle continues to exhort the brethren to commitment, determination, and zeal. There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, Philippians 1: 20-30, King James Version (KJV): 20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. 21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. 23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: 24 Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. 25 And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; 26 That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again. 27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; 28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God. 29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake; 30 Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

shekinah glory

(see reference below)

Today, reply is on the cloud spoken of in the holy writings that appeared as a visible manifestation of the presence of GOD (we also say, the angel of GOD; the glory of GOD; the Shekinah). Accounts of GOD appearing and becoming known in the awareness of created beings and living creatures include the appearance of divinity to Moses as a burning bush, the star that appeared over Bethlehem, and the presence that rested within the Sanctuary (also called the Holiest of Holies; the Most Holy Place) on the judgment seat upon the Ark of the Covenant. It is written: Leviticus 16: 1-2, King James Version (KJV): 1 And the LORD spake unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before the LORD, and died; 2 And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat. Can you tell me more about the shekinah/ gods presence?

Is the shekinah god or idolatry?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them: And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night. (Exodus 14: 19-20, King James Version, KJV)

Lunablossom”, many mature Christian believers agree that the Garden of Eden first served as the meeting place for divinity and mankind. When Adam and Eve were thrust out, mankind would assemble “in the gate” with blood offerings for sin, and with petitions for indications and signs that would express the divine will. The sons of Jacob (Israel), and those who joined them in leaving Egypt with Moses themselves were to be the sanctuary, dominion, and abiding place of GOD. Later, the tabernacle (fashioned according to the pattern of things in heaven that was revealed to Moses) and the house of GOD (the temple fashioned in accord with the things revealed to Solomon), became the places of assembly for the consecrated priests and Levites. These things were to serve as sanctified and set apart for the presence of GOD, yet, they were not idols that would embody divinity, receive worship, or serve as man-made objects having authority, dominion, personhood, or power as gods. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

1. Genesis 3: 6-9, King James Version (KJV): 6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. 7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. 8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

2. Exodus 40: 32-38, KJV: 32 When they went into the tent of the congregation, and when they came near unto the altar, they washed; as the LORD commanded Moses. 33 And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the hanging of the court gate. So Moses finished the work. 34 Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. 35 And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. 36 And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys: 37 But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up. 38 For the cloud of the LORDwas upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

3. 1st Kings 8: 6-11, KJV: 6 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims. 7 For the cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above. 8 And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day. 9 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt. 10 And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD, 11 So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 4. 2nd Chronicles 5: 13-14, KJV: 13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; 14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Many Mansions

Today, the reply is on the many divine works that are being completed in preparation for the appearing of Jesus Christ to harvest the earth (we say, the Advent; the Rapture; the Second Coming). Jesus has returned to heaven, and is serving there as a Chief Administrator to allot and distribute divine benefits and rewards; a Master Builder of an holy city, the New Jerusalem; an High Priest to make atonement for sin; an impartial and righteous Judge; and Ruler of the divine kingdom. The Anointed One and Risen Lord, will complete eternal works that have been begun on the earth, and will begin new works that will unfold throughout unnumbered ages. One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers (UK)” public forum on Religion and Spirituality who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:

If Jesus is coming back shouldn’t He get to steppin’ before the world falls apart?

What’s He waiting for?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. (2nd Peter 3: 3-10, King James Version, KJV)

Anonymous”, impenitent sinners, mockers, scorners and skeptics are the ones who should seriously “get to steppin’ ”. In addition to the developing Christian believers becoming fully mature/ripe, there are multiple works divinity (we also say, the divine fullness; the Godhead; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) must complete before Jesus Christ may come to harvest the earth. Along with acknowledging the presence within the living of spirit substance from the makeup of GOD and assigning value (we say, final judgment) to the new creation, the church, there must be the cleansing of the Sanctuary within the Temple of heaven; the Devil cast into the lake of fire (the second death); the second resurrection; and the Great White throne judgment. Here is a sample of things that mature Christian believers focus upon when acknowledging that we are in the End Time, and the coming of Jesus is closer and closer:

1. The Prophecy: Isaiah 65: 12-18, King James Version (KJV): 12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not. 13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed: 14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit. 15 And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name: 16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes. 17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. 18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.

2. The Warning. Revelation 12: 7-12, KJV: 7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

3. His Promise. John 14: 1-3, KJV: 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 4. The End of Mortality. Eternal life has already begun for those of the new creation, who are an instrument divinity will use in establishing the new heavens and earth. Revelation 21: 6-8, KJV: 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is on the process of GOD, and why holy names in the Bible are used along with titles that seem to change or become different. Many of the changes we see recorded in the holy writings are in agreement with the fact that humankind relies on the finite frameworks of time and space to maintain focus, order, and stability. While mankind has used many different cultures, customs and traditions to speak of GOD, divinity is immutable and unchangingparticularly with regard to covenant oaths, sacred judgment, eternal purpose, divine order, and the acknowledgment of spirit substance imparted to the living from the makeup of GOD. Men are not to dismiss that GOD would abide within a tabernacle on the earth for 40 years, or that the divine presence would be made known by using visible pillars of cloud and fire, the daily falling of manna, and regular observance of the Sabbath. Nor is it coincidence that the prophecies of revelation proclaim that mankind is to prepare for divinity to abide upon the earth. It is written: Revelation 21: 1-5, King James Version (KJV): 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. The fighter in the “Yahoo! The angel told Mary to call the baby Jesus. Another said call him Christ. A third one said call him Emanuel. What’s that all about?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations. Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Matthew 1: 16-23, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Lost For 40 Years? (09/17/2018); Jesus Called “Almighty GOD?” (12/21/2017); The Generation That Wandered (06/14/2017); The New Testament Name (05/01/2017); The Title of “Savior” (01/27/2017); Passover After The Cross? (03/09/2016); Use Holy Names Not Titles? (08/17/2015)

Carol”, most sinners who turn to GOD for change, correction, and forgiveness are surprised when they find that there is single, unchanging answer provided by divine fullness (we also say, divinity; the GODhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit). GOD must be apprehended, realized and understood through ones own life process; and sacred knowledge must have a higher place than worldly and secular knowledge. The Creator of all that exists, the various environments and spheres of life, and the frameworks for meaning and value, makes himself knowable, known, accessible, and approachable by appearing to created beings and living creatures using multiple forms and sacred operations. The Bible is a record prepared in many different places and at different times where divinity appears through thousands of events, within thousands of lives, over the course of thousands of years. Because divinity is made up inseparable, invisible spirit substance (e.g., faith, holiness, longsuffering, personhood, righteousness, wisdom, wrath against sin), communication, exchange and interaction with GOD requires the acknowledgment of active presence and spirit through such features as divine law, judgment, covenant relationship, life essence (we say, breath; utterance; word), promise, prophecy, rebirth, and resurrection from the dead.

The holy names used among mankind when speaking of divinity change in accordance with the experience and preparation of mankind, yet, GOD is immutable and unchanging. Human needs include accomplishment, customs, hope, novelty, and possibilities. Thus, the heirs of Abraham, who called GOD Jehovah and were set apart (sanctified) for divine service also were influenced by the idolatry, sorcery, and unbelief of the Egyptians until the time of the Exodus. Those who left Egypt with Moses knew GOD as “I AM.” How the people of GOD later spoke and thought of divinity also was altered by the Assyrian captivity and Babylonian exile. Jesus was challenged by both the Roman empire, and the spiritual confusion and traditions that existed among the Jews. Without initiation to the sacred priesthood, it is almost impossible to correctly see that diversity appears in place of change; and that such elements as divine prerogative, eternal purpose, and the sovereign will of GOD continue as though uninterrupted.

The names “GOD with us” (Emmanuel), “the Anointed One” (Christ) and “Savior” (Jesus) speak to the workings of divinity using the forms both of Spirit and of human flesh (we say, Incarnation). That GOD agreed to accompany Moses and those leaving Egypt, that a Passover deliverance was provided as a permanent figure signaling salvation, and that sacred guidance and rule were promised to the living through an anointed High Priest, judge and king (Messiah) are all addressed through the One Sent, Jesus Christ. It is written:

1. Exodus 33: 15-17, King James Version (KJV): 15 And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. 16 For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth. 17 And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.

2. Exodus 13: 20-22, KJV: 20 And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness. 21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: 22 He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

3. Hebrews 8: 1-6, KJV: 1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; 2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man. 3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer. 4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law: 5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount. 6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 4. Matthew 28: 18-20, KJV: 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, the reply speaks to how and when Christians should bury and memorialize the dead. Aside from restoring life to the dead, the most powerful gifts we may bestow upon those who have lost a loved one to death include our active presence; our example of restraint and self-discipline; our smile; our lovingkindness; our listening ears and hearts as well as the display of continued commitment, respect, and willingness to work for our shared goals. Through his ministry on the earth, Jesus acknowledged that, in times of mourning and loss there was a need for assurance, comfort, and good news that now has been filled by GOD through the death and resurrection of his Son. One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” Religion and Spirituality forum using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information appears) posted the following:

Should a Christian go to a funeral on a Sunday?

One of my cousins teenage daughter died of a drug overdose. They are having funeral on a Sunday afternoon (today). I was taught as a Christian Sunday is reserved for celebrating Jesus’ Resurrection and life so it’s kind of blasphemous to try to to have funeral that day.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment: Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause. If thou meet thine enemy’s ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again. If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him. Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause. Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked. (Exodus 23: 2-7, King James Version, KJV)

Anonymous”, in addition to the distress connected with performing or witnessing the raising of the dead at wakes or the internment of others, many people feel great inner conflict when asked to attend funerals and formal memorials for the dead. They may feel a powerful mix of conflicting emotions that includes arrogance, embarrassment, exaggerated pride, fear, guilt, shame, sorrow, and uncertainty. Here are some points Christian believers are encouraged to consider:

  1. Many who are not members of a church congregation have attended Christian services and programs to acknowledge the decease of family or friends; such mourners may now mistakenly think of themselves as Christians, and may think that the meaning and purpose of attending church and religion pertains more to burials and funerals than to redemption, salvation, or anything else.
  2. Among Christians, discomfort and uncertainty about burying the dead may be found because the holy writings teach that to bury or cremate the remains of those who are deceased is a work of the flesh, not a work of the divine Spirit.
  3. Many still acknowledge traditions that teach the living become spiritually defiled, unclean, and unfit to serve divinity by contact with the dead.
  4. Many are disturbed by conflicts regarding which day of the week is to be observed as the Sabbath and how to maintain holiness and sanctity for the Sabbath day.
  5. Many Christians account it a sacred work expressing compassion and humility to bury the dead, and to comfort their living survivors.
  6. Some developing believers are certain they have a duty to minister to those who are bereaved, yet, most are not formally instructed, and are unclear how to properly go about such service.

The following points from the Bible also are important:

Mark 10: 42-45, King James Version (KJV): 42 But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them. 43 But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: 44 And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. 45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Hebrews 6: 10-15, KJV: 10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. 11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: 12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. 13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, 14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. 15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

1st Thessalonians 4: 13-18, KJV: 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, Luke 9: 57-62, KJV: 57 And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest. 58 And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. 59 And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. 60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. 61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. 62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is on language in the Bible used to describe the operations, personhood, and substance of the Holy Spirit.  Spirit substance must be used to identify, recognize, and respond to other spirit substance.  Many events and symbols are used to clarify and explain what is meant by “the Holy Spirit.”  Figures are used to depict “spirit” such as breath, clouds, a dove, fire, oil, rain, and water.   However, divinity actually becomes known to created beings and living creatures through revelation, and the divine imparting/indwelling of living content from the makeup of GOD.  Divinity must become known and visible by displaying acts that express his own sacred heart and mind as well as the various inseparable aspects of his full makeup.  Included are immortality, personhood, eternal purpose, and sovereign will.  The living are to discover, experience, and realize relationship with divinity by apprehending the active presence, provisions, and works of GOD.  One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” Religion and Spirituality forum who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile data shared) posted the following:

Why, in Num. 11:17, does God need to take the spirit that is already on someone and place it on someone else if this holy spirit a person?

It should be able to do for itself. Is the Holy spirit like some kind of child?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:  because many false prophets are gone out into the world.   Hereby know ye the Spirit of God.  Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God:  and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.  (1st John 4:  1-3, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Why Spirit Displays Personhood (06/06/2018); John Anointed To Prophesy (05/21/2018); The Household Of Cornelius (05/17/2018); The Meaning of “Faith” (03/28/2018); What Is A Spirit? “Anonymous”, among mature Christians, rather than say, “God needs to do this or that,” it is more correct to consider, “What are the needs, possibilities, and preparation of mankind that require some specific action and intervention from God in this way or that?”  In frustration and ignorance, many accuse, blaspheme, and deny respect to GOD.  Even, so, the process of the Scriptures is one that presents multiple streams of truth that come together and flow throughout the many collected writings that make up the Bible.  The holy writings actually provide a divine perspective (point of view) where GOD operates through thousands of events, within thousands of lives, over the course of thousands of years.  For this reason, the Bible also is respected as an emblem of the divine presence, and “the evidence of things unseen.”

Every reader of the Scriptures will discover that a single concept or word will be used as having many meanings (i.e., both denotations and connotations) as well as associations, references, and usages—even within a single sentence, verse, paragraph, or passage.  (For example, “law” may denote the Ten Commandments, the Covenant of Moses, or the standards created as determinations and outcomes of tribunal (we say, decisions and verdicts in judgment).  Abbreviations and shortened forms often appear that replace a phrase or title.  (Thus, “the manifestation of Holy Spirit,” the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth becomes simply “the Spirit.”

As those who are “born again,” developing believers also must “grow up again,” and become skilled in avoiding and overcoming the spiritual confusion that results from relying on the finite tools of the world (e.g.,  mechanical and natural law, secular knowledge, intelligence, logic, philosophy, carnal reason, science, technology) that do not permit discovery, gradual growth, practice, and learning of sacred knowledge.

The Holy Spirit who is a person within divine fullness (we also say, Deity; the Godhead; the Trinity) provides sacred substance to and through the living by such divine operations as baptism, rebirth, repentance, and sanctification.  Inseparable spirit matter is shared as divine DNA, Christ-likeness so to speak, that makes a sinner a new creation.  Included are faith, forbearance, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  In addition to his workings being called “gifts” enabling, endowments, and supplies (from/of the Spirit), there are “fruit”, permanent changes in ones character and makeup spoken of as life consequences, outcomes, and products (from/of the Spirit).  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Luke 11:  13, King James Version (KJV):  13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children:  how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

(2.)  1st Corinthians 12:  1-7, KJV:  1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.  2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.  3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed:  and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.  4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.  5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.  6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.  7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

(3.)  1st Corinthians 2:  9-14, KJV:  9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.  10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit:  for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.  11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.  12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.  13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:  for they are foolishness unto him:  neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
