PESACH-blood-on-the-door

Today, the reply is on the Passover event that was carried out by divinity in Egypt to sanctify the heirs of Abraham. The Passover memorialized by the preparation and sacrifice of a lamb eaten in a meal to seal a perpetual covenant relationship with divinity demonstrated the authority of GOD as Creator, Judge, Redeemer and Savior as well as the Sole Possessor and Sovereign who may apportion and deny inheritance of the earth to mankind. It is written: Exodus 12: 11-13 King James Version (KJV): 11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD’s passover. 12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. 13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. The importance of the Passover?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself. Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. (Exodus 19: 4-6, KJV)

Anonymous”, here are some points that may be helpful: The Passover continued the priesthood granted to Adam, received by Abraham, and fulfilled in Jesus Christ as a divine High Priest. Mature Christian believers acknowledge the Passover introduced to mankind through divine interventions on behalf of the twelve tribes of Jacob as one of the most important sacred events (miracles) preparing humanity (the sons of Adam) to receive divinity using the form and flesh of a created being (we say, the Incarnation; the Revelation of Jesus Christ; the new creation). Thought of by many as only a deliverance of the Jews from the cruelty of a tyrannical ruler (the Pharaoh of Egypt), the Passover identified the GOD of Abraham, who had judged and destroyed Sodom, Gomorrah and the cities of the plains as also a savior, as a keeper of covenant promises, and as a divinity to be acknowledged as a loving father who blesses his children with inheritance. During the years of famine seen by Pharaoh in a dream that was interpreted for him by Joseph, the people of Egypt sold their livestock, their land, and themselves to become slaves of the Pharaoh. Just as no Egyptian families except that of Pharaoh would have inheritance within the one-world-empire, no Hebrew families or citizens whose origin were other nations would have part in the wealth of Egypt through its law. In addition to the ethnic arrogance, bigotry, injustice, and prejudice that were practiced because of the separation of the Hebrews to the living area of Goshen, Jews were despised as keepers of sheep, rather than bulls, horses, and other cattle. As within other early empires, there were many forms of idol worship, occult practices, spiritual confusion, superstition, and witchcraft among the Egyptians. Hebrews were denied rights to serve the living GOD as Abraham had done, digging wells for water, building altars, and offering animals and sacrifices of blood. An exodus of some 3 million men, women and children would be carried out to set the Hebrews apart as a peculiar people through the operations of GOD. The twelve tribes would be reconfigured to exist as a single nation responding to a shared law, and a sacred inheritance from GOD. Consider the following that uses language from the Bible, and a selection from the music ministry of Donnie McClurkin:

(1.) Genesis 46: 31-34, King James Version (KJV): 31 And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father’s house, I will go up, and shew Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and my father’s house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me; 32 And the men are shepherds, for their trade hath been to feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have. 33 And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation? 34 That ye shall say, Thy servants’ trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.

(2.) Exodus 4: 21-23, KJV: 21 And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go. 22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn: 23 And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.

(3.) Exodus 12: 21-27, KJV: 21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover. 22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning. 23 For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you. 24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever. 25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service. 26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service? 27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD’s passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

(4.) 1st Corinthians 5: 7-8, KJV: 7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

(5.) Hebrews 9: 19-28, KJV: 19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, 20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you. 21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. 22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. 23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: 25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; 26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Holy Matrimony

Today, holy matrimony within the church body, fornication, and divorce among Christians are topics.  The outcome of divorce is to be peace.  As a sacred practice (we say, sacrament) within the church, holy matrimony addresses more than the happiness, love, and prosperity of a single couple.  There are issues of eternal life, family stability, godliness, new creation, oneness without sameness that should appear throughout the assembly, and developing believers becoming ripe for harvest by the Lord at his appearing.  In sanctifying Israel as a covenant people and nation belonging to GOD, Moses introduced divorce to release women from the abuse they were suffering in marriage.  In the early church, believers are encouraged to marry and avoid fornication; however, during times of persecution, unmarried believers are counseled to remain single.  Divorce is not automatically a condemnation of ones spirit content and divine makeup.  Even so, in addition to situations of adultery, divorce also may be a remedy where a wife hinders her husband’s prayers, nags, practices idolatry, irreverence, prostitution or witchcraft, and is a “stranger” outside the covenants of GOD.  The annulment of holy matrimony through divorce acknowledges that the holiness of the Lord is profaned.  Divorce is mistakenly taken to be a form of excommunication; yet, the disunion of joined spirits is only accomplished through the operations of divinity.  Among those commanded to “love your enemy,” divorce separates and denies a couple a right to cohabit; however, it does not remove their duty to acknowledge accountability, or to continue showing forbearance, forgiveness, and respect.  A writer in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum using the ID “East” (Level 1 with 116 points, a member since September 06, 2015) posted the following:

Why do Christians not frown on divorce?

In the Bible, Jesus Himself says that you should not get divorced except if your spouse was unfaithful, and that marrying a divorced person is adultery.

Why do Christians focus on so many “values” issues but not divorce?

I’m asking as a Christian. I will ignore answers that bash Christianity.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the LORD which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god.  The LORD will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the LORD of hosts.  And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand.  Yet ye say, Wherefore?  Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously:  yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.  And did not he make one?  Yet had he the residue of the spirit.  And wherefore one?  That he might seek a godly seed.  Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.  For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away:  for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts:  therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.  (Malachi 2:  11-16, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Conforming to Divine Standards (06/18/2017); Marriage Is A Sacrament? (06/11/2017); The Wife of Your Youth? (12/22/2015); Dating and Worship? (09/11/2014); Quality Time Together? (09/12/2014); GOD and Adultery? (06/11/2014); A Hardened Spirit? (06/12/2014)

“East”, the future soundness of a marriage relationship can not be predicted; however, by following familiar and fixed patterns (e.g., ABC), we can have a sense of sequence and what else may be on the way (XYZ).  Many mature Christian believers regard divorce as a peculiar divine judgment intended to resolve ongoing and recurring conflict between two or more spirits that have been joined through the sexual intercourse provided to consummate marriage.  The application of divine law for the settlement of disputes comes into view.  Where marriage is only a carnal and social institution, marriage comes under the jurisdiction of civil law, family courts, and the oversight of the community-at-large and the general public.  Law enforcement and the courts become involved to establish equity regarding such issues as joint financial obligations, credit ratings, custody for the children, the disposition of ownership for jointly held property, and domestic violence.

Even where young adults and their parents are careful to practice discernment during the dating and courtship phase of relationship and trust-building before emotional, psychological, and sexual commitments are made, correctly apprehending the spirit content and eternal purposes within another developing believer is not a simple process.  There are many subtleties (i.e., barely visible differences; hidden shifts in meaning, quality, and value), and the candidates for holy matrimony often are driven by finite human tools such as intellect, secular knowledge, and romanticism.  Sexual joining may occur through behavior that appears innocent (e.g., kissing (oral sex), holding hands), because joining occurs on multiple levels, and is not just “physical”.

Fornication (the defilement of ones inborn spirit by sexual partners who may not be physically present) can result in a couple being bound to, or dominated by strangers, and those whose spirit makeup are not compatible.  Where she has had 6 partners, 7 will be joined to her mate; where he has had 7, 8 will be joined to her; and, where the Spirit of Christ does not reign and rule over the conjunction of 15 spirits, expressing such elements as disposition, inclinations, and moods can regularly display anger, confusion, fear, and self-contradiction.  More than this, where the 6 each have had 5, and the 7 each have had 5—do the math!  And their partners may have had multiple partners.  (Many think this may have accounted for the demoniac who told Jesus his name was Legion.)

Where couples who are learning and growing as individuals do not, in fact, grow together in the same direction, with shared goals and experiences of new knowledge, divorce may become necessary for the sake of conscience, and for the sacred commitment to Christ.  Thus, in counsel through the Apostle Paul, it is written:  1st Corinthians 7:  10  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband:  and let not the husband put away his wife.  12 But tot the rest speak I, not the Lord:  if any brother have a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let her not leave him.  14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband:  else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.  15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart.  A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases:  but God hath called us to peace.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and made a part of our own developing belief.  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is made on why communities of faith must maintain endowments of money and property.  The church is in an hostile environment upon the earth, and must maintain a peculiar independence and separation not merely for her financial, material, and physical survival.  Other belief systems compete against and threaten Christian belief with destruction and violence including Atheism, Islam, Judaism, LGBTQ, occultism, those committed to sorcery and witchcraft, and even geo-political States (governments, nations).  Critical emotional, psychological, and spiritual growth within the church continually requires there be immediate access and availability of resources and tools for communication, instruction, practice, and worship.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers (UK & Ireland)” who uses the ID “James” (Level 2 with 433 points, a member since December 04, 2014) posted the following:

Why can’t Christianity act like Jesus for once and turn ALL their churches into homeless shelters and give away ALL their BILLIONS of $$$?

Update:  Nightwolf replies with his usual personal abuse. He is NOTHING like Jesus.

Update 2:  Ruth replies with her Christian personal abuse. She is NOTHING like Jesus.

Update 3:  Nightwolf is a tool of Satan ….abusive, aggressive, violent, hateful. “Real” Christians out there, please pray for him, he needs your help.

Update 4:  Fireball too replies with personal abuse. Where are the “real” Christians out there ….. the ones who follow the example of Jesus, the ones who don’t hate? There must be some left.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;  Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.  And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.  (1st Peter 5:  2-4, King James Version, KJV)

“James”, the church is an expression of the sovereign will of our Creator; and is both “one of a kind,” and irreplaceable.  The “good works” we see through the church go beyond charitable-giving, philanthropy, and social work.  Correctly understood, the works that are to be performed by Christian assemblies and congregations convey and transmit spirit substance from the makeup of divinity, and do not center simply upon carnal, material, and social things.  Sinners who submit to the discipline and instruction shared among believers become immersed within a lifestyle, sacred practices, and daily routines that display the spirit substance we acknowledge as being from GOD.  Included are faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, hope, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, meekness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

On the earth, the church typically exists within communities that promote competition, elitism, and the distribution of resources in accordance with processes and standards that are political.  The processes of “the flesh,” “the world,” and “the devil” continually generate meanings and values that undermine the integrity of the church.  Secular knowledge and information are exalted in such a way that many are unable to acquire the sacred knowledge needed to experience the lasting relationship with GOD that we speak of as “eternal life.”  Such work as pastoral counseling, evangelism, and missionary outreach only go forward as effective and fruitful where there are operations of the Holy Spirit to establish commitment, exclusive devotion to GOD, maturity, divine promise, prophecy, stability, and higher vision.  Communities of faith must be financially independent and solvent in order to operate with a minimum of contradiction, disruption, interference, opposition, reversal, and the ungodliness that exists outside the body, and often also exists among believers while they are in the process of permanent change and growth to serve as “born again” believers who must “grow up again” and become perfected

Those within the church are continuing as men, women and children having intimate relationship with GOD through Jesus Christ.  The church is to be received as an answer from GOD where believers are described as being in dependent relationships as adopted sons and daughters, covenant partners, heirs, and spouses, yet, not as beggars, debtors, and the homeless.  Consider again the following:

(1.)  Isaiah 54:  4-10, King James Version (KJV):  4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed:  neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame:  for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.  5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.  6 For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.  7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.  8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.  9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me:  for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.  10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.

(2.)  2nd Corinthians 8:  9, KJV:  9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

(3.)  2nd Corinthians 8:  20-21, KJV:  20 Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us:  21 Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.)

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, the first day of 2017, a reply is shared on GOD supplying money to the church, instead of believers raising funds.  Born-again Christian believers are to practice offering and sacrifice as challenges within their new life that must be met for their accomplishment of permanent changes in their attitudes, focus, and power of self-will.  While the source of all flesh is Spirit, the process of flesh must be specific to the character and nature of flesh.  When flesh and form become vessels of divine substance, there must be multiple sacred operations to transform what is carnal, material and social to be in accord with immortal, incorruptible Spirit.  Finite, physical things produced and used by created beings and living creatures such as buildings, money, and property become representative devices to express exclusive devotion, love, and reverence toward GOD once they are anointed (i.e., made fragrant), set apart (we say, cleansed, sanctified), and consecrated to bind believers in lasting relationships with divinity.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Nobody Knows Anything” (Level 4 with 3,204 points, a member since December 29, 2012) posted the following:

Why doesnt God fund the churches he supports, instead of his followers raising the money?

It just seems like that would be a really good way to know which church has the right idea.

Why wouldn t God support the churches that preach his true message?

No Atheist/Agnostic answers, please.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.  And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul:  neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.  And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus:  and great grace was upon them all.  Neither was there any among them that lacked:  for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,  And laid them down at the apostles’ feet:  and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.  (Acts 4:  31-35, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  A New Year’s Message, 2015:  Great Expectations? (01/01/2015); To Him That Hath… (07/08/2016); A $1,000 Dollar Seed? “Nobody Knows Anything”,  the funding work is to benefit the Flesh, and therefore, must be carried out by the Flesh.  Mature Christian believers trust that sacred knowledge and practices are being shared among the living by the Creator through such devices as divine law, covenants, promises, prophecy, revelation, and the death of Jesus on the cross.  All the necessary operations to establish a sphere of life for human existence, material processes for their communication, exchange and interaction as well as natural law, regularity, and the frameworks of time and space have been provided by divinity.  Even so, the living must display accountability, balance, coherence, continuity, person, presence, stability and validity to participate in relationship with Deity.  Mankind’s integrity, value and worth must be expressed as his own unique nature and substance; however, the character and makeup of mankind also must always display inseparable aspects of the makeup of GOD.  The life essence (we say, breath, spirit, word) from GOD includes faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, hope, longsuffering, lovingkindness, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  While it is our separation from GOD that makes it necessary there be communication such as confession, petition, praise, prayer and thanksgiving, it is also separation that endows the simple things among mankind with authority, beauty, power, and enduring purpose.  On the basis of counsel and instruction from GOD, men are to offer, return, and sacrifice to GOD what they most feel has value in their living.  This also may be done using substitutes, surrogates, and symbols.  Thus, most correctly understood, the divine process has never been one of simply supporting believers by providing goods, money, and services to men in the earth.  Rather, there is a stream of spirit content to equip men for ongoing challenges, growth, the work of judgment, and eternal life.  Life for the body of Christ is not about currency, economies, and exchange rates among men any more than it is about men showing off as “perfect” using mere human standards.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Thoughts are shared, today, on provisions of divine law, ownership of the living, and the World as a system of belief.  Used by divinity as in marriage and priesthood, servitude is a relationship that allows one to develop and practice humility, to foster growth and learning, to increase gratitude, intimacy, respect and trust as well as to nourish, protect, and strengthen.  Twisted and warped by sin, servitude becomes abuse, cruelty, degradation, deprivation, disenfranchisement, misery, neglect, poverty, and wretchedness.  One of the many fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information appears) posted the following:

Yo Christians how the hell did “do not covet” make it into the Ten Commandments but “do not have slaves” got left out?

What happened there?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  The earth is the LORD’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.  For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.  Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?  He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.  He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.  (Psalm 24:  1-5, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, because popular culture today encourages spiritual confusion and ignorance of sacred knowledge, many fail to maintain a correct relationship with GOD as the  Creator of the earth, and mankind as the creator of “the world.”  The world system of belief includes all the carnal, material, and social mechanisms for communication, exchange, organization, and survival.  What are called the Ten Commandments (also, the Decalogue) only summarize and highlight certain of the many laws provided by a government of GOD.  While all that exists and all who live belong to GOD as a divine possession, only those within the kingdom founded through Jesus Christ now have the divine benefits of sacred law and judgment whereby sinners receive the resolution of conflicts and the settlement of disputes through application of divine law, and divinely delegated authority.  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, and may dominate awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures.  In addition to presenting “covetousness” as trespassing boundaries and personal limits that maintain order, peace and stability, divine law describes “covetousness” as inordinate desire, envy, and lust to possess the goods and property of others.  The abuse and cruelty the world labels as “enslavement” appears in the holy writings, however, the divine practices, in fact, are very different from owning men as chattel as reported in secular history.  For those in covenant relationship with Deity, servitude preserves the life of those offered to GOD and those who are voluntarily bound to divinity.  As the firstborn, as Levites, and as with other offerings that otherwise would be destroyed by holy fire upon the altar, redemption and salvation allows animals, children, and adults to continue as “living sacrifices” that must serve through priesthood.  Of course, where there has been human error, exaggerated pride, racism, and acceptance of sin as necessary and unavoidable, the world has deceived and influenced many to embrace and promote slavery as “natural”.  Perhaps, yourself.

Today, Scriptures are shared as counsel to a writer who was asked to relinquish a family heirloom Bible that he has purchased.  In stating the dilemma, the personal and spiritual value of the Bible was not addressed; and the new owner is uncertain how to respond to the possibility of  legitimate claims by the heirs.  Even within ones home and family circle, when the holy writings are treated as private property or something costly, precious, a relic, and untouchable, the Bible may become another idol and source of spiritual confusion.  Superstition and occult belief become attached to the Scriptures when commitment to acquire sacred knowledge is not supported by fellowship with experienced believers, observing sacraments, prayer, and careful application of study.  A “Yahoo! Should I return the old bible to the descendants?

I bought an old bible. Through genealogies and online ancestry information, I found the descendants. I contacted her and told her I can scan the genealogies pages and send to her because I think her familly members might be interested in their early ancestors. However, now she is asking for the actual bible. What should I do? I am not willing to give this bible or sell it to her. How to respond? Does she has legal right to claim this bible? The bible is almost 200 years old.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Hear another parable:  There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:  And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.  And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.  Again, he sent other servants more than the first:  and they did unto them likewise.  But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.  But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.  And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him.  When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?  They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.  Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?  Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.  And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken:  but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.  (Matthew 21: 33-44, KJV)

“jeremy”, I heard your question as, Should I change my attitude, behavior, intent and purpose?  For you that Bible appears to be a snare:  something secular to be coveted and desired, merchandise, and another person’s inheritance.  Here are a few things that also should be weighed in the balance that are still being shared with those that desire salvation from GOD, and will undergo permanent change and transformation:

(1.)  Matthew 6:  19-21, KJV:  19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:  20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:  21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

(2.)  Luke 14:  25-27, KJV:  25 And there went great multitudes with him:  and he turned, and said unto them,  26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.  27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

(3.)  Luke 3:  7-9, KJV:  7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?  8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father:  for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.  9 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees:  every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

(4.)  Ezekiel 14:  19-21  KJV:  19 Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast:  20 Though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their righteousness.  21 For thus saith the Lord GOD; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast?

(5.)  Proverbs 20:  20-22, KJV:  20 Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.  21 An inheritance may be gotten hastily at the beginning; but the end thereof shall not be blessed.  22 Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  For example, (6.)  Matthew 7:  12, KJV:  Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them:  for this is the law and the prophets.  Also,  Romans 13:  7-10, KJV:  7 Render therefore to all their dues:  tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.  8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another:  for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.  9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour:  therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

The Apostle Peter, the couple Ananias and Sapphira, and the Holy Spirit are in view, today.  In the same way Adam and Eve began having an endowment of the Holy Spirit (we say, the breath of life) and later lost their gifts, Ananias and Sapphira also were gifted from Christ, and failed to maintain their blessing.  The writer at “Yahoo! Help with Acts 5:1-11 Ananias’ Embezzlement?

I understand that Ananias was accused of lying to the Holy Spirit, but what is the context or where does it say that Ananias had to give all the money from the land sale to the Church? I don’t get that. I understand that you are supposed to tithe 10% of all your earnings so the Church has some money to function (like most non-profit organizations have to pay a membership fee). Is that what he did? The Bible doesn’t really clarify and this is something I have found a lot in the Bible. It is very cloudy, at least in the English translations I have read. I mean, I am a poor college student and I seriously just can’t afford to tithe, and feed myself and have books for class but I haven’t been struck dead yet lol. Some help interpreting this would be great. I just don’t understand what the heck is going on. I’ve heard this story in church a million times as justification to tithe but never understood WHY Ananias had to give ALL the money when he only supposed to give 10%. Also it’s a story connected to Peter and in ever story connected with Peter I feel like some shady deal is going down… Maybe it’s just me but sometimes I wonder why Jesus chose that guy. Since he is God incarnate shouldn’t he have known Peter May not have been the BEST choice. John the Beloved or James seemed to me a much better choice. But who am I to argue with God, I guess.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus:  and finding certain disciples,  He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.  And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.  Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.  When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.  And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.  (Acts 19:  1-6, KJV)

“Ian”, here are some points for consideration that are important for all mature Christian believers:

(1.)  Our reading of the holy writings requires discernment (comparing spiritual things to spiritual things), for the Scriptures document the operations of divinity among created beings and living creatures (we say, thousands of lives over the course of thousands of years); and are more than a mere account of human behaviors, conduct, and interaction.  Spiritually, the offense of Ananias and his wife Sapphira is no different than that of Adam and his spouse Eve.  Money and ownership of property are not at issue, rather, acknowledgement (we say, worship), commitment, respect, reverence, and trust.

(2.)  The sacred process of rebirth through water baptism signifies death of ones inborn spirit, burial of their former nature, and new birth from a fresh deposit of the same divine content that is the makeup of Deity.  Included are inseparable aspects of divinity such as faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, love, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Fire baptism (we say, receiving divine gifts, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth) signifies the empowerment and ordination authorizing a believer to serve as an agent and spokesperson (we say, prophet) of GOD through Jesus Christ.

(3.)  Beginning ones new life in Christ requires no payment of worldly goods and material belongings.  However, born again, one must “grow up again” experiencing change through life challenges and “growing pains” upon the earth.  One expects to receive the Gospel and water baptism before receiving fire baptism; yet, as with Cornelius and his household, believers receive the Pentecost experience on divine terms, and by divine prerogative (we say, grace).  Peter and the other apostles appointed by Christ to be witnesses of his resurrection were also to authenticate appearances of the Holy Spirit falling upon believers.  Thus, there was no quarrel between Peter and Ananias, and the impartial judgment that came upon the false couple was directed at the violation of faith, not a law for tithing.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  That believers agree and understand that they themselves must provide resources to support the life and work of the body of believers (we say, our assembly, our church, our congregation) is a “common sense” conclusion that derives from our social awareness.  The issues of how much and when to give derive from individual and personal concerns.  The realization that ones life is completely intertwined with that of other believers—that GOD is active and present within us and others; that we are interdependent and must continue together for survival; that “freewill” and independence are “sacrificed” for something higher, holier—must come from GOD through operations of the Holy Spirit.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, I share some points on divine pleasure in judgment, prophecy, and punishment of children.  Also, there is more on traditional marriage.  A writer at “Yahoo! Answers Malaysia” using the ID “The Supreme Llama” (Level 7 with 26,685 points, a member since February 20, 2008) posted the following originally asked at Yahoo Answers Canada:

Does God enjoy watching children be torn to bits by wild bears?

Elisha left Jericho to go to Bethel and on the way some boys came out of a town and made fun of him. “Get out of here, Baldy!” they shouted.Elisha turned around, glared at them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. Then two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two of the boys to pieces.”
2 Kings 2:23-24

THE BATTLE AXE:  Traditional Marriage? (12/18/2013)—(5.)  As a tool of the world, marriage is a legal contract to establish common property for couples who agree to cohabit as well as to divide and dispose of property at their separation.  Arranged marriages are found only among those having long-term presence through land and property ownership, having financial security, and having wealth.  Additionally, marriage provides for the receipt and disposition of property as ones inheritance from ones parents, and other deceased persons.  For this reason, bastards, those born out of wedlock, and those born in poverty receive little or no instruction regarding marriage; and these often do not marry, preferring to cohabit in temporary relationships (e.g., common-law marriage, living or moving-in together, or shacking up), where there is less emphasis upon duties for legacies and property rights.  More than this, the poor and undereducated often do not regard marriage as a divinely provided opportunity to create wealth, initiate an inheritance, or to provide memorial to their own living deeds.  (6.)  Using understandings generated by the world, many now hold that marriage has always been only for purposes of fulfilling and “legitimating” the animal aspects of human existence:  ones emotions, lusts, passions, carnal desires, and sexual appetite.  It is foolish, they say, “to put all of ones eggs in one basket” (that is, exclusively to hope, rely upon or trust a single person or relationship for regular and continuing support).  With this in view, many alternatives to marriage now appear; and are promoted as “more honest;” more correctly accountable; a more necessary and realistic display of ones inner feelings and genuine integrity; and, more productive of lasting happiness and sexual freedom as well as true love.  (7.)  As a tool of GOD marriage is a sacrament, or sacred practice that expresses, maintains and nourishes spirit content from divine person, and continues relationship to GOD through Jesus Christ.  Spiritual joining in marriage is not merely by intercourse and sexual intimacy; it is by operations of the Holy Spirit.  Marriage may begin with a young man proposing to a woman—not asking her permission, rather, asking her acceptance, her commitment.  He will ask permission of his own and her parents only where he realizes and understands that the joining of their person also is the joining of their families.  Together they will ask permission from GOD only where they understand themselves in relationship through Christ as agents and representatives of his sacred community, the church, who serve as  evangelizers, parents, teachers, spokespersons, stewards and vessels for the imparted, indwelling Spirit of GOD.  Surely, the miracle of water to wine in the wedding at Cana is also the transformation of spirit for marriage from that of the earth to that from heaven.  (8.)  Along with invisible, spirit substance from GOD, marriage is also widely respected as a device to address invisible, secular substance from mankind.  Through marriage society addresses, maintains and promotes various intangible aspects of human relationships such as chance, chastity, compatibility, dignity, feelings, family history, honor, jealousy, maternal instinct, reputation, respect, romance, tradition, trust, and virginity.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.  He is the LORD our God:   his judgments are in all the earth.  He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.  Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;  And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:  Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:  When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.  When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;  He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;  Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.  (Psalms 105:  6-15, KJV)

“The Supreme Llama”, GOD enjoys giving meaningful answers to those showing right respect to divine love and sacred truth.  Here are a few points readers should consider that are regularly shared among mature Christian believers:

(1.)  GOD is a spirit who must be known and made visible through operations, processes, and purposes that are displayed through created beings and living creatures.

(2.)  The living must rely upon their own endowment of divine substance from the person of GOD to recognize (we say, discern) the divine aspects of objects and events presented in their experience.  Included are such inseparable features as awareness, faith, holiness, longsuffering, will, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

(3.)  Sin is an artifact of separation from GOD, is contrary to all existence and life, and is no living thing.  Sin is not a material or physical object, has no spirit content, and is not created by GOD.  Yet, sin has direction, effect, and presence; and may dominate and influence awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures.  Without the array of divine operations and provisions, sin can not be detected as contrary to ones own being and person, or recognized as a foreign and strange element that is not truly part of oneself.  Repeatedly, the living operate under sin regarding it as “child’s play,” innocence, natural, and normal.

(4.)  The presence that is sin may become known through actions and words; and all behavior and conduct among children and adult humans does not show sin as defiance, disrespect, and irreverence.  However, all behavior and conduct generated under the influence of sin does oppose the continued existence of divine law, divine person, and all Creation.  Given that sin is no created or godly “thing”, and the created can not eliminate and eradicate sin, there must be a sweeping renewal of all Creation to remove all sin.

There is far more to be said, correctly shared, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (5.)  Before anyone may fully understand the threat to the universe posed by a roaming gang of cruel, disobedient boys attacking a prophet (who is outnumbered 40 to 1), they would have to have a broader, deeper understanding of judgment, justice, mercy, and salvation.  Where GOD intervenes, surely, it is to carry out those tasks that may only be completed through divine power and presence, such as protecting those not present, those unborn, and others unseen.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.  Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do:  and the God of peace shall be with you (Philippians 4:  8-9, KJV).
