Today, reply is on the correctness of calling for Pope Francis I to relinquish the crown and throne following the response he made to a woman who grabbed his hand and would not release it as he was acknowledging those among a crowd of believers. Approaching those in roles of accountability and leadership with attitudes and behavior that are overly aggressive, too familiar, and flat-out rude is correctly labeled as “presumption” and “rebellion”. It is not a matter of dispute that the church of Jesus Christ displays delegation of authority; the gradual increase of instruction and intimacy with strangers; multiple levels of sacred knowledge, maturity, and skill among believers; division of labor; hierarchy; and oneness without sameness. Along with balance and discernment, sharpness, sobriety, and wrath against sin will continue to be essential tools within the church. Sharpness pertains to edification and prophecy, not intimidation, verbal abuse, and violence. Even so, within the community of believers in Christ there is never to be a “rush to judgment;” nor is there to be any welcome to accusations, “bad mouth,” cheap talk, gossip, and rumors against either clergy or lay members. It is written: 1st Timothy 5: 17-22, King James Version (KJV): 17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. 18 For the scripture saith, thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. 19 Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses. 20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 21 I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality. 22 Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other mens sins: keep thyself pure. Also: Titus 2: 11-15, KJV: 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. 15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee. One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion & Spirituality using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile data appears) posted the following:

THE GOLDEN ARROW: A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing. For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city, To call passengers who go right on their ways: (Proverbs 9: 13-15, KJVJ)

Anonymous”, many mature Christian believers acknowledge the correctness of the papal response made during a crowd scene where the Pope was forced to openly rebuke a woman who, in ignorance, presumed to grab and hold on to his hand. Properly understood, the Pope is not a celebrity or public figure; rather, he is a head of state, a living sacrifice, and a spokesperson who appears on the earth using flesh on behalf of divinity, who remains separate, immortal, invisible, and incorruptible. While the anointing, ordination, and sanctity of the Pope are displayed using things material and temporal, his sacred authority and dominion are not to be contested, defiled, or profaned. Also, the Pope is to be acknowledged as a primary elder and pastor for those who are members of a major portion of the church founded on the earth by Jesus Christ. As a caretaker and shepherd over a flock of GOD, the Pope must operate in accordance with divine prerogative; sacred law; imperatives and principles for exchange and interaction that serve as disciplines and regimens of office; eternal purpose; and the sovereign will of GOD. As one required to display the image of GOD, and who must resemble, reflect and reveal the character and likeness of Jesus Christ, the Pope is more than simply another preacher or teacher. The Pope administers and maintains a priesthood on the earth fashioned after the pattern of things in heaven. The priesthood is a caretaker of sacred mysteries, is entrusted to continue sacred practices (e.g., baptism, intercessory prayer, worship), and is to be respected and reverenced as a lawful divine mechanism to continually offer the blood and body of Jesus in atoning sacrifice. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible, and a selection from the prophesies and music ministry of The Heralds:

(1.) 2nd Corinthians 13: 3-11, King James Version (KJV): 3 Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you. 4 For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you. 5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 6 But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates. 7 Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates. 8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. 9 For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection. 10 Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction. 11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

(2.) Proverbs 23: 12-14, KJV: 12 Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge. 13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. 14 Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.

(3.) Proverbs 9: 6-10, KJV: 6 Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding. 7 He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot. 8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee. 9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. 10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

(4.) Hebrews 12: 3-9, KJV: 3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. 4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. 5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

(5.) Romans 13: 3-5, KJV: 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

Judah Enticed by Tamar

According to the Leverite law, Tamar was to marry the son of Judah; when Judah repeatedly required that she wait, she entrapped him by disguising herself as a harlot.

Today, reply is on sacred law being biased against females, and what appears to some as a widespread low regard for the worthiness of females as full members of the body of Christ. For many such bigotry and prejudice are disturbing, for there is an inarguable excellence for women above men, because only females may serve as those who actually bear children as fruit within their own bodies, and who fulfill the unchanging eternal purpose of GOD wherein mankind independent from divinity reproduces to populate the earth. Many feel that sacred practice as commanded in the law of jealousy is overly harsh and unfeeling. Even so, a woman has rights to receive inheritance as a primary heir; and there are specific laws to continue the integrity of her father’s name over her estate so that his family does not lose through marriage their allotted portion of the Promised Land provided by GOD to their tribe through Moses and Joshua. Going further, Jesus Christ taught as a principle when applying covenant law that mercy is better than sacrifice. Abuse and cruelty against women are condemned and forbidden. It is written: Malachi 2: 12-16, King James Version (KJV): 12 The LORD will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the LORD of hosts. 13 And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand. 14 Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant. 15 And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth. 16 For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously. Anonymous”, you appear to have little understanding of the sacred knowledge that is shared among developing and mature Christian believers. Christian belief is having continuous consciousness of the existence and operations of divine fullness (we also say, divinity; the Godhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit). Christianity is broad and forward-looking, and goes beyond the finite human frameworks for philosophy, science, and secular knowledge as well as the human tools for time and space. Women are accounted as valuable members of the full body and indispensable partners who continue the ministry on earth of Jesus Christ.

Created beings and living creatures can become conscious of, and respond to, divinity as active presence that appears through multiple operations of spirit substance using objects in the earth. Included are things carnal, concrete, material, mechanical, physical, social, tangible, and visible. A process of reproduction through intercourse and sexual joining has been provided to mankind little different from that bestowed on the different animal and other pairs. The process of conception, development, and birth occurs displaying fixed patterns and sequences governed by mechanical and natural law, more than through divine law and direct sacred intervention as with the birth of the prophets Jeremiah, John the Baptist, or Jesus Christ.

While women do appear as a prophet (we say, prophetess) in Old Testament writings, through the covenant laws provided to Moses, Joshua, and others, females were denied a place in priesthood until New Testament times. The historian and gospel-writer Luke reports females who maintained and supervised places for gatherings of Christian congregations (churches) within their own homes. Even so, until Jesus Christ, females and all Gentiles appear to have been censured, condemned, and labeled as greater sinners than Hebrew males. Correctly understood, because of their menstrual cycle and likelihood of defilement through their flesh (in particular, their blood), the sacred law required women be set apart from the men of the congregation to re-dedicate themselves to GOD as would a Levite in private prayer with fasting, offerings, and supplication. Seeming to continue to acknowledge principles shared among the Pharisees, the Apostle Paul provided instruction to the early church that has continued unto this day. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

1. Leviticus 12: 1-7, King James Version (KJV): 1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean. 3 And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised. 4 And she shall then continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled. 5 But if she bear a maid child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her separation: and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying threescore and six days. 6 And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest: 7 Who shall offer it before the LORD, and make an atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female.

2. Genesis 38: 24-26, KJV: 24 And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt. 25 When she was brought forth, she sent to her father in law, saying, By the man, whose these are, am I with child: and she said, Discern, I pray thee, whose are these, the signet, and bracelets, and staff. 26 And Judah acknowledged them, and said, She hath been more righteous than I; because that I gave her not to Shelah my son. And he knew her again no more.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 3. 1st Timothy 2: 8-15, KJV: 8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. 9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. 11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

AN AFTERTHOUGHT: The law from GOD to transform the loosely organized tribes of Jacob to appear as a legitimate nation among the existing kingdoms of the world correctly acknowledged the differences between females and males regarding issues of endurance, health, and stability. Women were to demonstrate repentance through calm, humility, modesty, quietness, respect, and piety. The purpose of divine law was not to legislate conduct and deportment by imposing etiquette and manners, so much as it was to establish a human community on the earth that would display the spirit of GOD. In no way did the law of GOD give males license to belittle, enslave, mock, or torment their intended life companions and partners from GOD. In the Scriptures we see that women maintained their own property, operated businesses, and even served as deliverers in times of war. Many of the traditions begun with Adam and Eve were eventually written into the judgments and codes of law delivered by Moses, Joshua, and others as the expressed will of GOD.

the virgin

A depiction of Mary

Today, the reply is on the holiness and virginity of Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ. Ordinarily, a woman loses her virginity, and sheds her blood of innocence during her first sexual intercourse when her hymen (i.e., a small piece of flesh within her vagina that serves as a seal upon her womb) is broken by the penetration of a male penis. The hymen of the mother of Jesus Christ was broken at his birth, and his coming was by water and the blood. The importance of Mary is not due to her own merit, divine nature, and sacred accomplishments, rather, it is because she has been an instrument for fulfillment of sacred prophecy, divine promises, eternal purpose, and the revelation of Jesus Christ. A we ourselves also are to be, Mary appears as a vessel to contain spirit substance imparted from the makeup of GOD, and to whom sin is no longer imputed. A fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion and Spirituality who uses the ID “Nathan H” (Level 3 with 1,856 points, a member since April 17, 2008) posted the following:

Why does the people of the Catholics beleivesing that Mary was always virginized, when Mattnew says Joseph had sex with her?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus. (Matthew 1: 18-25, King James Version, KJV)

Nathan H”, many mature Christians acknowledge that, in the same way Mary, who gave birth to their Savior Jesus Christ, experienced having gender as a human female, she also experienced human sexuality as a female with the birth of her other children. Even so, these same believers understand that her virginity was, and continues to be, a spiritual condition established through operations of the same Holy Spirit that performed to create heaven and earth. Inseparable aspects from the makeup of divinity appear that include faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, meekness, purity, and simplicty.

Mary is important to Christian belief as an instrument of GOD for the full revelation of divinity. The birth of Jesus was not through human reproduction and sexuality: Jesus was made to be and exist within Mary by operations of the Holy Spirit. Believers are to see the workings of divine authority, love, eternal purpose, and the sovereign will of GOD. The embodiment (we say, Incarnation) of divinity appearing as Jesus Christ, and using the human forms of flesh and mind, required both the birth and death of Jesus to establish his humanity as authentic. Similarly, the humanity of Mary is shown to be genuine, and displays the full range of human challenges, needs, and possibilities that include humility and covenant relationship with GOD.

There is no report in the holy writings, that Mary was baptized as Jesus was by John the Baptist. Even so, after fasting and prayer in the Upper Room, Mary received the gifts of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost along with the apostles of Jesus. She served as one of the witnesses to his crucifixion, and to his resurrection. To those of the early church, Mary was an evidence of things unseen, and a “foretaste” of things to come.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, because the character, makeup and substance of GOD are the actual focus, many Christians are comfortable with the Scriptures and teachings concerning Mary that can only be embraced correctly through operations of faith and of the Holy Spirit. Included are the ascension of Mary, the coronation of Mary as Queen of Heaven, the acknowledgment of sacred mysteries from the lives of Jesus and Mary using the Rosary prayers, and the sanctification of Mary as a perpetual virgin.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Saved in Childbearing

Today, reply is on childbearing being exclusive to women as showing divine bias, discrimination, prejudice, and social injustice.  Divine glory appears through existence and life, even so, the death sentence against the operations of sin within the first pair has not been dismissed, and has only been delayed.  The putting forth of life from life continues, and has been buttressed and reinforced through observances to rejoin women to their family and community, restore their purity, and provide fresh endowments of spirit content imparted from the makeup of GOD for salvation.  It remains that the ability to conceive children, like rebirth and salvation, can appear as a sacred event, and an act of divine will not merely from human desire.  One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information appears) posted the following:

Doesn’t the fact that only women have babies prove God is racist towards women! Shouldn’t childbearing be 50-50?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And when Rachel saw that she bare Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto Jacob, Give me children, or else I die.  And Jacob’s anger was kindled against Rachel:  and he said, Am I in God’s stead, who hath withheld from thee the fruit of the womb?  (Genesis 30:  1-2, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  We Begin Within GOD (02/06/2018); Two Become One Flesh (01/07/2018); The Gender of GOD? (12/29/2015); Strong Families? (11/10/2015); Gender and Salvation? (10/01/2015); The Glory of GOD? (06/23/2015); Saved in Childbearing? (10/31/2012); After the Rapture? (11/01/2012)

“Anonymous”, because of the fall of Adam (i.e., the name GOD used for both the male and the female), childbearing pertains to the mercy that may accompany and relieve condemnation (the death sentence) required by divine judgment.  Through grace, divine prerogative, and the sovereign will of GOD, mankind has been made mortal as the alternative to immediate imposition of what we now call the second death.  The issues are not those of caste, ethnicity, gender, and social economic standing.  There are differences in accountability for the male and female as well as aspects of eternal purpose, the exercise of dominion by mankind, populating and preserving the earth, and establishing permanent changes in the endowment of life essence (breath, spirit, Word) that was imparted to mankind.

Correctly understood, the death sentence was to be carried out against the woman, for she was the one who first demonstrated behavior that transgressed the divine law.  Her character, nature, and roles would have weight in determining multiple sacred operations that include rebirth, repentance, reconciliation, regeneration, and renewal.  The serpent should be recognized as an accessory before the act through deception, exhortation, and providing false information; while the male was an accessory in amplifying the offense by flight and hiding along with refusing to cooperate with the divine investigation, and her apprehension after the act.  Where a plate glass window has been shattered by a brick during a riot, the person who threw the brick has accountability along with the person that handed her the brick, those who urged her to throw it, those who gave counsel to run, and those who aided her flight from justice (her get-away).

In accord with the divine pattern established for other living creatures, the female was created to serve the male as his life companion, and to be his partner in reproducing their kind.  Unlike angels, animals, insects, or sacred beasts that are alive in heaven, by existing as the life companion to the male, the female also became a life companion to divinity.  It was to be the privilege of the pair to share with one another and their offspring inseparable aspects from the makeup of immortal, incorruptible GOD.  Included were faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

Because our salvation is not on the basis of our having complete knowledge, or power through self-will that can establish permanent change in our own makeup, many make the error of thinking they may accuse GOD, and render judgment against the Creator.  They are blind to the subtleties (i.e., barely visible differences; hidden and sudden shifts of meaning, quality, and value) within all sacred process, and fail to bring to their judgment such divine tools as balance, completeness, humility, impartiality, perfection, and righteousness.  It is not that GOD is indifferent to the carnal, material, secular, and social needs of men and women; or is partial only to one gender.  Divine love coupled with inheritance and the provisions of mercy (that may only be obtained when submitting to judgment) have established childbearing as a “conditional release” from condemnation along with the menstrual cycle of blood to purge the conscience, set a woman apart for use by GOD (sanctification), serve as a personal memorial of the cross and the Savior’s blood shed for atonement and remission of sin, and to stand out as an aspect of their rededication to GOD.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  1st Timothy 2:  13-15, King James Version (KJV):  13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.  14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.  15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

(2.)  Leviticus 12:  1-7,KJV:  1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,  2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child:  then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean.

(3.)  Hebrews 9:  13-24, KJV:  13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:  14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?  15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.  16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.  17 For a testament is of force after men are dead:  otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.  18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.  19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,  20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.  21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.  22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.  23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.  24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, childbearing is not a punishment, it is an aspect of blessing and inheritance:  (4.)  Psalms 127:  3-5, KJV:  3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORDand the fruit of the womb is his reward.  4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.  5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them:  they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, rebirth, repentance, and life from the cross are topics.  Necessary gifts for revealing divinity (i.e., making the immortal, unseen Creator knowable, known and visible to created beings and living creatures) were provided through the virgin birth, the death of Jesus on the cross, and the Savior‘s resurrection.  Sinners who acknowledge divine forgiveness may become “reborn”.  While all Christian believers do not serve as pastors, pulpit preachers, and teachers within the church, all must “fight the good fight of faith” by gradually acquiring and applying sacred knowledge, longsuffering, patience, and perseverance.  The fighter at “Yahoo! THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.  And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them:  and they were sore afraid.  And the angel said unto them, Fear not:  for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.  And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.  (Luke 2:  8-12, King James Version, KJV)

“Zari”, the birth of Jesus Christ, the Christmas story, introduced special mechanisms from GOD to release mankind and all creation from the bondage of death and sin.  By receiving the imparted Spirit from GOD that will indwell a believer, the living come to know GOD as an aspect of their own content.  Included are inseparable features from the makeup of Deity such as faith, forbearance, forgiveness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  However, these things require multiple levels of sacred knowledge and practice to understand them completely, and have them operate in our day-to-day living in the most correct way.  The virgin birth of our Savior is a single link within a chain of sacred elements that may not be broken and separated.  The innocence and purity we see in the infant and in the virgin must be continued through the many episodes of life challenge, growth, learning, and death.  Like you and I, Jesus gradually had to become balanced, complete, consistent, stable, and useful (we say, mature).  Through operations of the same Holy Spirit that established heaven and earth, sinners become “born again.”  Their inborn spirit must die and be buried, so to speak, and they must be reborn from divine DNA.  The ongoing permanent changes in the living and their full transformation to exist as immortal, incorruptible, perfected life companions of divinity will be finished at the Advent (we also say, the harvest, the Rapture, the Second Coming) of Jesus.  Christian believers therefore all are called “the children of GOD” and “the new creation.”  Even so, those who are reborn also must “grow up again” while facing the same life challenges as everyone else upon the earth.  Yes, there will be disappointments, human error, mistakes, problems, and even, sins; however, believers will “bounce back”, and persevere.  They will “fight the good fight of faith” by continuing to acknowledge GOD through praise, prayer, repentance, and unselfish service.  Consider the following:

(1.)  1st John 1:  5-10, King James Version (KJV):  5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.  6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:  7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.  8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

(2.)  Hebrews 12:  3-8, KJV:  3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

(3.)  Revelation 3:  18-21, KJV:  18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.  19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten:  be zealous therefore, and repent.  20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:  if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.  21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

The Icon from Lithuania known as Our Lady of Ostra Brama, Our Lady of the Dawn, Blessed Virgin Mary, Icon of the Mother of GOD, and
Icon of the Holy Mother of Mercy

Titles granted to Mary as the Mother of Jesus are in view, today.  In the holy writings, the law of Moses declares the tribes of Jacob sharing covenant with Jehovah to be the children of GOD.  As a descendant of King David, who in prayer acknowledged GOD as his Father, Jesus appeared on the earth as the Son of David, the Son of Adam, the Son of the Highest, the Firstborn Heir, and Son of GOD.  The Savior’s mortal mother compared to Jochabed, the mother of Moses, whose faith had to be so great she could endure putting her child into a homemade basket, and sacrificing him upon the River Nile as if it were an altar of incense that could lift her prayers—and her baby who later would be used in the divine work of deliverance—up to the heart of GOD.  On the one hand, then, it is no less than a common sense use of language to say that the mother of Jesus is also the “Mother of the Son of GOD.”  On the other hand, to acknowledge, respect, and show reverence to the Savior’s mother is a reasonable act of devotion and respect to her Son.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Comandjii” (Level 1 with 3 points, a member since January 12, 2013) posted the following:

How could Mary (a created vessel) be the mother of GOD?

Was she before GOD so she could be HIS mother?
Was GOD born that he should die?
Was the Christ used of GOD to allow sanctification so as believers in this HOLY sacrifice can be returned to GOD? Mary worship by catholicism is based upon this belief that Mary is the mother of God and therefore the Queen of Heaven.
was Isaac Abraham?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;  (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;)  And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.  And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel:  and the Holy Ghost was upon him.  And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.  And he came by the Spirit into the temple:  and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,  Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,  Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:  For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,  Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;  A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.  And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.  And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;  (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.  (Luke 2:  22-35, King James Version, KJV)

“Comandjii”, those who by choice are members in the household of GOD through faith in Jesus Christ accept that multiple streams of sacred knowledge must come together for sinners to have a complete understanding of divinity using flesh and blood, and appearing on the earth as Jesus of Nazareth (we say, Incarnation).  More than this, to correctly recognize and respond to spirit content in sacred and secular events, instructions, oneself, other persons, prophecy, Scriptures, etc., believers must direct and apply their own spirit content imparted from the makeup of GOD through the divine operations of rebirth.  Included are such inseparable aspects of the Creator as faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, love, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

There are many basic points of belief that must be in place.  For example, (1) GOD is a spirit who is not limited to the boundaries established for the duration and existence of carnal, material, and social objects; (2) Deity may use, yet, can not be restricted by the frameworks of time and space; and (3) the authority, knowledge, ownership of all, power, and sovereign rule of divinity make it that things impossible for created beings and living creatures are not impossible for GOD.

The holy writings teach that Jonah was thrown overboard during a storm at sea, and swallowed up by a “great fish” that had been prepared by GOD to receive him.  The period of the preparation does not matter (how many years, days, hours, etc.), and details of what was done in preparation are irrelevant.  What is central is that, by the operations of GOD through the same Spirit that formed heaven and earth, Jonah as a figure of every self-willed believer was placed in a setting to challenge his faith to the uttermost, even as the grave and the valley of the shadow of death.  Mary, her mother, her father, and even the Jewish people all were prepared for the divine events that resulted in the birth of Jesus Christ.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, beyond her condition as blameless and pure (i.e., forgiven and separated from all sin), believers are to focus upon the character and makeup of Mary as one who is humble, tenderhearted, yet, exalted by the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, for she has overcome sufferings through commitment, devotion, faith, and love.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

The Transfiguration of Christ (oil on panel),
Titian (Tiziano Vecellio) (c.1488-1576)

Today, points are shared on the faith of Jesus, prophecy, and the Savior’s preparation for crucifixion.  The transfiguration of Jesus Christ is one of the greatest divine mysteries (i.e., events from the life of the Lord upon the earth).  At a time when Jesus was being followed by crowds, yet, knew the days of cruel suffering swiftly were approaching, Jesus would be acknowledged openly by emissaries from the kingdom of heaven, further reinforcing and strengthening his faith, and unveiling his divine glory and majesty.  The early prophets received the Savior in ways his apostles and living witnesses on the earth could not do.  Living as a man in the flesh, Jesus had to acquire sacred knowledge gradually the same as you and I; and the Lord would be given evidence for the truth of eternal life for mankind.  The appearance of the two prophets after thousands of years was also evidence of divine forgiveness, mercy in judgment, and reconciliation.  More than this, the Father would speak, and proclaim his continuing love.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” whose ID is “2.718281828459045235360287471352662” (Level 7 with 124,902 points, a member since February 26, 2006) posted the following:

Matthew 17:1-8. Do you ever suspect the story of Jesus being visited by two dead prophets may actually be false?

I mean look at this this way. When did anybody in the Bible ever get visited by two dead prophets before or since? Could it be that Jesus made up this story just to make himself look holy? What are your thoughts on this?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.  For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.  And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.  We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:  Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man:  but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.  (2nd Peter 1:  16-21, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Baptist and The Tishbite? (02/18/2015); The Body of Moses (05/11/2014); GOD Permits Evil? (05/12/2014); To Live As a Sacrifice (03/08/2014); A Perfected Body (03/09/2014); Immutable GODhead (03/10/2014); Prophetic Demonstrations (09/06/2013); Why GOD Prayed to GOD (09/07/2013)

“2.718281828459045235360287471352662”, most mature Christian believers acknowledge that there are many points of sacred truth presented through the account of the transfiguration of the Lord.  Jesus approached his crucifixion having many concerns and was in need of assurances by the Father more than evidence from the apostles, or the multitudes that now followed him.  Consider again some of the following:

(1.)  The active presence of divine Spirit (also called, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth) is first described in the account of the Creation.  In the beginning, Adam (the first pair) had direct access to the Creator.  The use of prophecy, prophetic demonstrations, and sacred events (e.g., angel visitations, dreams, miracles) first became necessary when Adam transgressed divine law, violated trust, and sought to hide, rather than confess, seek forgiveness, or ask for mercy.

(2.)  The provisions of GOD where the offspring of Adam do not complete mortality by death include translation (described with Enoch), and being taken up (described with Elijah).  Healing and restoring life to the dead (e.g., Lazarus) are practiced and demonstrated by Elisha and Jesus.  Resurrection is a temporary restoration of life specifically so that one may appear alive in judgment.  As many of the prophets before him, Just as John and many of the other prophets were slain through disbelief, injustice, and persecution, Jesus would also die as the memorial of their deaths.  Jesus is called the “firstborn from the dead” to set him apart as preeminent, not because he is the first person resurrected from the dead.

(3.)  Until John the Baptist appeared, no authentic prophet operating in the manner and style of Moses and those who followed him had been provided to Israel since the days of Malachi, more than 400 years earlier.  In the same way rule by anointed kings and consecrated priesthood became corrupt and vain (i.e., lacked spirit substance from GOD), prophecy became defiled and profane through human error, imagination, and sentiment.  The divine use of prophets as spokespersons sent from divinity, who also could petition GOD and serve as spokespersons on behalf of mankind (we say, mediators) was restored specifically to introduce the ministry of Jesus Christ as a further revelation of divinity, the satisfaction of all demands from the divine law, and the fulfillment of all prophecy.

(4.)  The birth of John the Baptist to elderly parents was accounted as a miracle demonstrating that the immutable, unchanging GOD who had blessed Abraham was continuing both in covenant and in word of promise.  John was endowed with the Holy Spirit while yet in his mother’s womb.  He was fed with the tithes and holy things from the altar in the Temple at Jerusalem.  Yet, moved by the Holy Spirit, John surrendered his inheritance as the son of an Aaronic priest to serve as the herald who would announce and prepare the way for the Anointed One (we say, Christ), the coming King.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  In the same way men receive only an earnest or “good faith payment” of their divine inheritance while upon the earth, while Jesus was still upon the earth, he received only an earnest of the glory and perfection that later would be restored to him.  The apostles who were eyewitnesses represent the mixed multitude that left Egypt with Moses and the remnant of Israel as well as and those belonging to Christ and taken out of death.  The voice of acknowledgment heard was the same as that at his baptism, and at the Temple during the feast of Tabernacles (Booths, Ingathering). )  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Innocence, repentance, and sinners in Christ as a new creation of GOD are topics, today.  Most sinners (not all) may be forgiven, justified, and reconciled to GOD through the atonement and propitiation for sin provided by the ministry of Jesus, the Son of the Highest.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers (Canada)” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:

Why would God, a pure and holy Creator, want anything to do with a repentant sinner even if they were to kill their own child brutally?

Likewise, why would the killer, say a mother, want to have anything to do with a perfectly holy God after killing her infant child? She kills her baby without reason–no motive whatsoever–deliberately hurt one of God’s little ones–perhaps one of the most pure of God’s creations and the closest to Him in purity and goodness, but then wants something to do with God?

If she can kill an innocent baby who is uncorrupted by sin and worldly qualities, she certainly will not want anything to do with God who is the ultimate good.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.  And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:  (For until the law sin was in the world:  but sin is not imputed when there is no law.  Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.  But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.  And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift:  for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.  For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)  Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.  For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.  (Romans 5:  10-19, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Having Not The Law? (10/06/2016); Spirit Process not Feelings? (09/21/2016); Standards for Judging GOD? (08/22/2016); To Forgive is Divine? (04/06/2016);  Forgiveness and The Cross (04/04/2016); Why Punish Innocence? (05/22/2015); Justifying GOD? (03/15/2015)

“Anonymous”, GOD responds to those who acknowledge forgiveness and the operations of divinity through Jesus Christ as being a new creation, and divine offspring that are part of himself.  Human babies all inherit readiness, vulnerability, and willingness to sin from their parents; therefore, none may be called “innocent” before GOD, who himself is the standard for determining what is incorruptible and pure.  To exist, become permanently changed, and operate as those who will always be acceptable to GOD, the living must acquire substance from the divine makeup such as faith, holiness, humility, meekness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  With this in view, repentance and returning to GOD are more correct, essential, and life-giving than are accusing, condemning, and rejecting divinity.  Mature Christian believers are taught to consistently use descriptions of GOD and reality that emerge from their own portion of the imparted, indwelling spirit (we say, divine breath, life essence, word) received from GOD.  Followers of the Lord are endowed and equipped to put aside the many errors that persist among sinners because they are anchored and tied to things that are carnal, emotional, material, and social.  Adam and Eve turned away from GOD because they were moved by covetousness, distrust, fear, pride, and sin.  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, promotes nonexistence, and generates a return to chaos, confusion, and the condition that was in place before Creation.  Sin is no thing created by GOD, does not have influence upon the divine will, yet, may dominate awareness and self-will of created beings and living creatures.  Every human child now may receive spirit content from GOD and a new inheritance through Jesus Christ, the Second Adam.  Consider again how some of this is stated using language from the Bible:

(1.)  Romans 3:  23, King James Version (KJV):  23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

(2.)  Ezekiel 18:  20-24, KJV:  20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son:  the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.  21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.  22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him:  in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.  23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GODand not that he should return from his ways, and live?  24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned:  in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

(3.)  Ezekiel 18:  30-32, KJV:  30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.  31 Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit:  for why will ye die, O house of Israel?  32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD:  wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.

Today, reply is made to a question on the divine use of flesh and blood, mortality, and the death of Jesus upon the cross.  For those of us who accept that divine law expresses the heart, mind and will of GOD, existence, life, and the multiple eternal purposes of divinity (e.g., blessing, praise, replenishing the earth) establish and serve as sacred boundaries, limits, and restrictions upon the chaos and conditions that otherwise contend against divine order having place within the universe.  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and the Creation that rests upon the platform of divine law; and, sin may dominate awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures.  To fully accomplish, affirm, and proclaim the active presence of GOD as exalted even above sin, various divine methods, operations, and tools are being used.  Sin can not be eliminated or removed using the devices to destroy an ordinary material object.  Instead, sacred works must appear that counteract sin and erase its effects.  Included are atonement, forgiveness, rebirth, sacrifice, sanctification, and suffering.  A fighter at “Yahoo! 7 Answers (Australia)” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:

Why was it necessary for god to send his son on a suicide mission?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,  To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.  And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.  Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.  (Galatians 4:  4-7, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, mature Christian believers recognize your question as one that has been asked by angels in heaven as well as by mankind upon the earth.  Divinity can not be legitimately challenged or condemned by finite beings for using carnal form (we say, Incarnation), mortality, divine prerogative, and sovereign authority.  The continuing existence of created beings and living creatures has required many unseen operations and sacred works.  The things that have been displayed as divine revelation to make divinity knowable, known, and visible to the living, therefore, include elements that also are carnal, material, and social.  The mortality of Jesus Christ understood by his birth, ministry, death, and resurrection are no less necessary for complete and correct sacred knowledge than his immortality and purity witnessed through his ascension, his provision of atonement and spiritual gifts through the Holy Spirit, his installment as judge and king through a testament of blood, his service as High Priest within the temple in heaven, his coming to harvest from the earth those who belong to him that are “ripe” (we say, the Advent, the Rapture, the Second Coming), and the establishment of the city made in heaven (the New Jerusalem) upon the earth.  Using ideas generated by the flesh (e.g., appetite, form, sensation, emotions, mental functions) the notion of “suicide” may seem acceptable.  However, sinners must go to “higher ground” to have the same broad and inclusive point of view that allows genuine Christian belief.

Reconciliation, and the purity and sobriety of Jesus Christ upon the cross are in view, today.  The cross is to be seen as a depiction of offering and sacrifice to GOD from mankind as well as the deliverance of divine judgment against sin.  The Savior did not become delirious, faint, hallucinate, or pass out upon the cross.  Christ appeared in the earth to accomplish a work of cosmic proportion that would impact the entire Creation and universe for eternity.  He was to die, be buried, be raised from the grave, and appear before the throne of divine judgment.  Not only would he endure condemnation upon the earth for a divine covenant partner, Israel, he would be judged on behalf of the entire Temple community (priests, Levites, scribes, beggars, etc.) as well as for all the sin of Adam with his children as heirs and offspring of GOD.  In their despair of life, hysterical fear, and weakness, many who are untrained think it an act of love (or mercy) to share illegal and prescription drugs that should be administered only by health professionals, perform euthanasia, and provide assisted suicide to family and friends.  Many believers understand that Jesus was challenged and tested while on the cross, and refused to drink a mixture that might have dulled his senses.  As one living out the vow of a Nazarite, Jesus would avoid strong drink.  Thus, instead of being given a testimony describing such remedies, believers have been given accounts of the exalted work of our Savior upon the cross to transform the meaning and value of death through resurrection, and the continuous, voluntary acceptance of divine will.

Psalm 69:  20-22, King James Version (KJV):  20 Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness:  and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.  21 They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.  22 Let their table become a snare before them:  and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.

Jeremiah 8:  13-15, KJV:  13 I will surely consume them, saith the LORDthere shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.  14 Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the defenced cities, and let us be silent there:  for the LORD our God hath put us to silence, and given us water of gall to drink, because we have sinned against the LORD.  15 We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of health, and behold trouble!

Jeremiah 9:  12-15, KJV:  12 Who is the wise man, that may understand this? and who is he to whom the mouth of the LORD hath spoken, that he may declare it, for what the land perisheth and is burned up like a wilderness, that none passeth through?  13 And the LORD saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein;  14 But have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them:  15 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.

Jeremiah 23:  14-16, KJV:  14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing:  they commit adultery, and walk in lies:  they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness; they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.  15 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall:  for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.  16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you:  they make you vain:  they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.

Why wouldn’t a loving god give his only begotten son some opiates while his son was hanging on the cross?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,  They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall:  and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.  And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots:  that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.  And sitting down they watched him there;  And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.  Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.  And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,  And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.  Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,  He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.  He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him:  for he said, I am the Son of God.  (Matthew 27:  33-43, KJV)

“Dangerous Mr.”, for many mature Christian believers, through operations of the Holy Spirit, blood and truth from the cross are flowing despite time and space to here and now, making possible the answer below:

(1.)  At Gethsemane, Jesus realized the work of the cross would be beyond comprehension for created beings and living creatures despite the careful plan of divinity appearing and abiding upon the earth in flesh (we say, Incarnation).  Both a revealing of divinity and the sacred potential of humanity was being required.  There would have to be total  authenticity, completeness, legitimacy, purity, and sobriety for what would be displayed to the living (both those in heaven and upon the earth).  Christ approached the cross somewhat in the same way many professional athletes approach their season, the playoffs, and the final championship game.  They demand the best from themselves and each other.  They would despise one another, and know their careers have lost all meaning and value were they to deliberately “throw the big game,” or foolishly become the cause for losing.  Only showing their own true excellence is genuine and real are sufficient to satisfy the demand of the inner desire and hunger to attain the highest levels for unforgettable victory.  2nd Corinthians 5:  20-21, King James Version (KJV):  20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us:  we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.  21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

(2.)  On the cross, Jesus was to demonstrate the inadequacy of all mankind’s finite tools and responses intended to enable endurance and repel the overthrow by death of human awareness and self-will.  Apart from the sacred operations of divinity, there is no practice or preparation for completion of ones mortality.  Sin routinely operates through features of the flesh that include appetite (e.g., hunger, thirst, sexual cravings), sensation (e.g., hearing, seeing, tasting, touching), and emotion/mind (e.g., anger, fear, imagination, intellect, instinct, recall).  Conscience, discernment, inhibitions, restraint, self-discipline and vigilance are vital aspects of full exercise for what men know as “the will to live.”  Jesus demonstrated that along with existence, the things pertaining to life from divinity also are sacred law, longsuffering, divine love, and eternal purpose.  1st John 4:  9-11, KJV:  9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.  10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

(3.)  Once he began his “full-time” prophetic ministry, the duty of Jesus Christ as the Son of Adam and the Son of GOD was to unselfishly minister to others in accordance with their needs, not his own.  This required accountability, alertness, constancy, and vigilance.  Throughout his time upon the cross, Jesus remained ready to receive a word from the Father; and did minister to John and his own mother.  Matthew 20:  27-28, KJV:  27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:  28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

There is far more to be said, understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Jesus was to establish access to divinity while serving upon the earth not having all the things of divine authority and GODhead.  Like others who appeared as prophets and spokespersons of GOD, he would receive and share sacred knowledge, yet, would have to endure growing and waiting for fulfillment as well as separation from GOD and man because of his character, nature, and works that included dying on the cross.  Philippians 2:  5-11, KJV:  5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:  8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.  9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:  10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;  11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.)  I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
