Today, thoughts are shared on what it would mean to be controlled by divine Spirit.  Christian believers are not made to behave as automatons and machines by the presence and operations of the Holy Spirit.  The living continue to have authority, coherence, integrity, and power as self-will; and the ongoing transformation of their character and nature proceeds according to their own responses to GOD such as gratitude, humility, meekness, obedience, respect, and trust.  In no way are believers dehumanized, deprived, or dispossessed.  Outside the sovereign frameworks provided by divine spirit, the platforms for existence and order are anarchy, chaos, evil, ruin, and upheaval as depicted using surrealism.  The fighter at “Yahoo! If a spirit was controlling him, he wouldn’t be choosing to be homosexual.?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:  Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.  For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.  Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.  Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin:  but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.  For sin shall not have dominion over you:  for ye are not under the law, but under grace.  What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.  Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?  But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.  Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.  (Romans 6:  8-18, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Spirit Process not Feelings? (09/21/2016); The Focus Upon Spirit (09/12/2016); Use Spirit From GOD? (08/15/2016);  GOD Within Christian Believers (07/31/2016); The Flesh An Obstacle? (07/29/2016); An Habitation of GOD (07/24/2016); Flesh Against the Spirit? (06/19/2016)

“Anonymous”, how and what divine spirit may choose is not predictable using values centered in emotion, flesh, logic, reason, physical strength, sentiment, and sensation.  Because the character, nature, operations, and substance of divinity are “spirit” (we also say, life essence, breath, sacred utterance, Word), it is no simple thing for created beings and living creatures—who exist as independent (i.e., separate), and may be carnal, material, mortal (subject to death) and of limited duration (like both angels and mankind)—to correctly be in agreement and harmony with an immortal, incorruptible, invisible Creator.  In view of the fact that spirit matter is diffuse, immeasurable and unbounded, it is more fruitful and godly for mature Christian believers to focus upon abiding as a new creation through Jesus Christ, acquiring new life, rebirth, and repentance than to dwell upon concerns such as defilement through fornication and sexual joining, same-sex marriage, sexual orientation, and sexual preferences.  Sin, the influence that opposes the continued existence of divine law, also challenges the exchanges and interactions among the inseparable aspects within the makeup of GOD that pertain to eternal life.  Included are faith, holiness, longsuffering, love, purity, righteousness, truth, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  For finite beings, where there is no law, preset conditions, focus, form, measurable dimension, and fixed standards, chaos and nonexistence are promoted that may appear disguised as benefit and freedom.  Where awareness and self-will are dominated by sin, the living do not truly demonstrate choice.

Points are shared on mankind’s need for the cross as a divine response providing support to human efforts that address relief for death and suffering.  The need for love that operates as unselfish action is not simply an imperative for mankind.  The entire universe and all Creation must have elements from divinity that appear as divine order, eternal purpose, and sacred process. It takes the “hand of GOD” to maintain ongoing existence with life, death, hope, and multiple possibilities for change; and it takes the cross as a ground for believers to be rooted in assurance, balance, empathy, imparted spirit content, and truth.  Mature Christian believers are to trust that answers are continuing to flow to us across time and space through operations of the Holy Spirit, and blood and truth from the cross are reaching to here and now.  Bias, prejudice, and error in judgment persist primarily through false assumptions, vain hopes, sentiment, and inability to restrict ones focus to the specifics of faith and sacred evidence.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Christians, why would you want to worship a God that bestows blessings upon you, while ignoring the desperate pleas of dying children?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:  Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.  But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.  To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.  (1st Peter 5:  6-11, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Sign of Divine Love? (04/14/2016); A Guarantee of Judgment? (04/15/2016); Love From The Cross? (04/08/2016); Faith and The Cross? (03/30/2016); Punishment To Show Love? (11/29/2015)

“Methane Mama”, experienced persons in our world who actually do the work of seeking to save the dying (and don’t just talk about it) all understand that, because we  have only finite abilities, crude skills and tools, and may only truly address the things that are external, mechanical, and surface, another dimension and level of “possibility” must come into ones understanding.  To care and dare, is to risk failure, frustration, and betrayal of everything that makes you feel good about yourself.  Despite its fixed patterns for assigning value, decision-making, and exchange, the strength of intellect, mind, and self-will easily become battle-worn, fatigued, and overwhelmed without the safeguards and shields derived through ones inward spirit content.  The assurances provided by divinity, such as Jesus Christ dying upon the cross, provide distance and perspective essential for binding death, and breaking the chains from despair, fear, ignorance, and hopelessness.

Mature belief in the divine operations pertaining to life are a crucial platform for being focused, grounded, and stable.  The acknowledgement of GOD (we say, praise, reverence, worship) is “existential”, meaning, like having to breathe in and out, taking in food, and putting waste away from ones organs, it is an unavoidable condition for mankind to continue as “alive” upon the earth.  Accepting the limits imposed by our Creator include having no ability to fashion  or acquire knowledge about Deity except through blessings (we say, gifts), divine revelation, and spirit provisions from GOD.  While social importance, carnal pleasure, and satisfaction through material things are possible for created beings and living creatures, desire, self-promotion, self-will and “will power” alone can not eliminate, remove or undo sin, suffering, and wickedness.

It is by the blessing of GOD that we are not emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually crushed by the continuing presence of death in the earth.  Tragedies occur that may be as far away as Ecuador, Houston Texas, or Japan, yet, without strength from GOD, we are impotent, and may only be onlookers who feel a deep sense of loss within our own homes, within our own hearts.  The cross has been granted as an inarguable evidence of divine love, and it is a “good-faith” gesture proclaiming that believers will receive a divine inheritance.  Consider again how these ideas are shared using language from the Bible:

(1.)  Romans 8:  13-17, King James Version (KJV):  13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die:  but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.  14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.  16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:  17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

(2.)   2nd Corinthians 1:  21-22, KJV:  21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;  22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

(3.)  Romans 8:  22-25, KJV:  22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.  23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.  24 For we are saved by hope:  but hope that is seen is not hope:  for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?  25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

There is far more to be said, understood, and spiritually taken in.  (For example, (4.)  1st Peter 2:  6-10, KJV:  6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.  7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious:  but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,  8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient:  whereunto also they were appointed.  9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;  10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God:  which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, Scripture points are shared on the teaching “mercy not sacrifice.”  For Christian believers, the ministry through sacred law is more to be understood as divine embrace, reconciliation and revelation than enmity from GOD expressed through abstract and formal operations to condemn, exclude, prohibit and rebuke.  Thus, by the appearance of mercy along with impartiality and thoroughness, final judgment proclaims the eternal balance, fairness, goodness, and righteousness of divinity and of Creation.  Correct knowledge of divine doctrine is acquired primarily through action, obedience and service.  Therefore, it is written:  John 7:  14-18, King James Version (KJV):  14 Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.  15 And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?  16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.  17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.  18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory:  but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.  One of the many fighters at “Yahoo! I’m an Atheist but used to be a Catholic and currently talking to the Jehovah’s religion?

I left the Catholic church many years ago in my early 20s because of their hypocrisy. I became an Atheist but now being much older I’m looking for some meaning in my life. At first when the Jehovah’s came knocking at my door I was really rude and ugly. About a month ago they caught me in a good mood so I accepted their magazines. A few days ago in reading the 2015 August Awake! magazine on page 9 I read the incredible sacrifice of this man Felix Alarcon. I know that Jehovah’s have preaching hour quotas that need to be met in order to be considered a good spiritual member. My question is why do the Jehovah’s believe this man is a good example when Jesus himself said he preferred ‘mercy’ and not ‘sacrifice’ in Matthew 9:13 and Matthew 12:7? Doesn’t this send the wrong message that irregardless the members are obligated to do all these things no matter what? I just don’t agree at all and am very put off by it.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat.  But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.  But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;  How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?  Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?  But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.  But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.  For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.  (Matthew 12:  1-8, KJV)

“Anonymous”, the teaching “mercy, not sacrifice” pertains to atonement, the expiation of guilt through the offerings of blood, life, and spirit as well as the operations of GOD on behalf of mankind that are to be seen as redemption and salvation.  Unlike compassion that is associated with human feelings, sentiment, and pity, mercy is associated with balance, impartiality and thoroughness in divine judgment.  With that in view, mercy should never be thought of as applying the law with displays of lenience, negligence, and slackness.  The spirit content and divine nature of attitudes, behavior, service and worship are to be discerned and regarded not just their social and surface appearance.  Here, the holy writings include many authoritative points that have been helpful to Christian believers, for example:

(1.)  Hosea 6:  4-7, King James Version (KJV):  4 O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away.  5 Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth:  and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth.  6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.  7 But they like men have transgressed the covenant:  there have they dealt treacherously against me.

(2.)  Matthew 9:  10-13, KJV:  10 And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.  11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?  12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.  13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice:  for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

(3.)  Psalms 50:  4-6, KJV:  4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.  5 Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.  6 And the heavens shall declare his righteousness:  for God is judge himself. Selah.

(4.)  Hosea 14:  1-3, KJV:  1 O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.  2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD:  say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously:  so will we render the calves of our lips.  3 Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses:  neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods:  for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  Luke 7:  40-50, KJV:  40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.  41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors:  the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.  42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?  43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.  44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet:  but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.  45 Thou gavest me no kiss:  but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.  46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint:  but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.  47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much:  but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.  48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.  49 And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?  50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith and willingness to receive answer from GOD.

Today, points are shared for Christians who want to minister support to friends and those needing encouragement.  Also, there is more on the dead and pain.  A writer at “Yahoo! Answers” using ID “Adrianne Hurst” (Level 2 with 359 points, a member since August 18, 2011) posted the following:

What is a good verse from the bible?

I had this random guy on fb…. not even my friend …. post saying ” I can’t go on anymore.” No likes not a single comment I look at his profile and he looks as if he has no friends. I would like to give him a good verse from the bible. And show him that there is A God who loves him. Any ideas?

THE BATTLE AXE:  On Death and Pain (05/08/2014)—(6.)  It is through operations of the Holy Spirit that readers and students of the Scriptures understand, many statements that appear are conditional, and serve as warnings.  This is also true regarding prophecy.  Thus, unlike correction and punishment, admonition, forbearance, forgiveness, and warning are not always properly recognized as aspects of judgment.  An example of this is seen with the words of Jesus in Luke 12:  4-5, KJV, that command believers to “fear him” (i.e., show proper respect to the one having authority and sovereignty), not to “fear hell” (death, dying, pain, torment).  Such Scriptures as Mark 10:  43-48, KJV, that speak in terms of eternal fire that shall not be quenched also declare there will be no intervention by divinity to terminate the burning that is judgment.  The reference is not to “common fire” used in the earth among mankind for cooking, for light, and for warmth.  Sacred fire that may separate divine matter from profane must come into view.  Even so, the operation and process of holy fire is completed and “put out” once everything that feeds the fire has been consumed.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears.  (Proverbs 26:  17, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Behold What Manner of Love (02/28/2014); Why Christians Pray for Others (01/12/2014); GOD is Jesus? (01/13/2014); Asked to Help? (12/11/2013); Prayer on Behalf of Others? (11/25/2013); Those Who Never Heard? (06/07/2013); If You Are Sent…? (06/08/2013)

“Adrianne Hurst”, here are a few points Christian believers have to keep in mind as they minister to others:

(1.)  Often, the most effective Scriptures for you to use when assisting and healing others are the ones that come from your heart.  There should be a oneness, and unity for your personal truth with the truth recorded in Scripture.  Saying this another way, the truth you share should not introduce conflict.  Share only the things that are “heartfelt”, and that somewhat describe your own acceptance, commitment, desire, and understanding.

(2.)  The holy writings, in fact, are to continue divine law, sacred operations, and the eternal purposes of GOD.  For that reason, they repeatedly fail when used as poetry, “pretty words,” and statements to express ones own sentiment.  The message from a Hallmark card could be more in line with what you intend.

(3.)  Divine love is expressed throughout the Scriptures in terms of sacred events and spiritual operations.  Thus, in place of affection, emotion, and feeling the love of GOD appears in such aspects of experience as admonition, atonement, birth, death, forgiveness, unselfish service, and suffering.

(4.)  Those who choose to get involved in the serious problems of others also must accept accountability when their intervention causes things to become worse.  Anger, bitterness, and self-destructiveness may be increased.  The helper may be blamed, and condemned for both their good intentions, and their good works.  More than this, because there is no “up front” agreement one should not expect payment.  Similarly, neither should the helper expect thanks.

There is a lot more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  Nowadays, many make the mistake of presuming upon others by “getting into” their heads, analyzing and writing prescriptions for their emotional and psychological health, trying to guess and predict their next action.  Most have done no study or training that addresses professional standards, and that make it possible for caretakers to not become confused, depressed and sick themselves.  Therefore, such amateurs are in danger, and can be dangerous; and may do more harm than good.  Unasked for explanations are called excuses; unasked for help is called meddling.  The best remedy for many who are meeting life struggles can be that other persons keep their distance, and maintain their silence.  The message of divine love must be discovered, come from, and be received through the divine Spirit.  The things of GOD are not accomplished so much by intellect, logic, reason, and science, as by faith, holiness, righteousness, and truth.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

And this is love, that we walk after his commandments.  This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.  (2nd John 6:  6, KJV)
