James Tissot:  The Pharisee and Publican

Today, reply is on the rejection of Jesus Christ by the religious establishment of his day, and the  acceptance of Jesus by publicans and sinners.  The account of Nicodemus coming to Christ after dark (so he would not be seen or recognized in public) is one of the clearest depictions of spiritual need among the elders of Israel.  Nicodemus could not comprehend the simple ideas that (1.) your inborn spirit must die, be buried, and resurrected from death by GOD, so to speak; and (2.)  the original endowment of ones inner spirit must be refreshed with spirit content imparted from the makeup of the Creator:  You must be born again.  A fighter in the “Yahoo! Why did the pharisees reject Jesus while the tax collectors accepted him?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith:  these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.  Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.  Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.  Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,  And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.  Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.  Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.  Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?  (Matthew 23:  23-33, King James Version, KJV)

“Breakthrough”, it continues today that acceptance/rejection of Jesus as the Christ by the Pharisees, Sadducees, and Temple elders of his day can be explained by multiple factors that include ignorance of, and skepticism toward, the promises and prophecies recorded in the holy writings; commonly held ungodly cultural and social standards that resulted through captivity and exile; religious customs and traditions anchored by secular knowledge instead of sacred knowledge as well as spiritual confusion.  Jews serving as tax collectors and public officials were like what we  now would call an “independent contractor,” a “bounty hunter,” or a “re-po man.”  Because these men would add their own fees to the tax assessment, kick in the door, and were empowered to seize family members and property for payment, they were generally regarded as godless thieves, heartless traitors, and turncoats.  The effort to continue and defend the blessing of GOD bestowed by the Covenant Law and relationship granted to Moses saw the institutionalization of belief, and the entrenchment of a “religious establishment.”  The primary aspect of divinity revealed to mankind was held to be “the law and the prophets;” however, the gift of ministry by a sanctified priesthood that could make atonement through offerings and sacrifices came under a curse at the time of King Saul (Eli, Hophni, and Phinehas); and the gift of prophets was suspended at the time of Malachi some 400 years before the birth of Jesus.  The establishment insisted on the primacy of the law “without the prophets,” an approach that denied existence of the Holy Spirit and his gifts (we also say, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth).  Whether John the Baptist (who was filled with the Spirit while yet in his mother’s womb) was an authentic prophet from GOD was as much the matter of controversy as whether John himself was the expected Messiah.  More than the prophetic demonstrations seen through John and Jesus, the publicans and sinners were drawn to Jesus Christ by his doctrine, insights, and what they perceived as a genuine revelation of the character, makeup and substance of GOD.  Consider again, therefore, the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)   Luke 18:  10-14, King James Version (KJV):  10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.  11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.  12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.  13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.  14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other:  for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

(2.)  Luke 19:  1-10, KJV:  1 And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.  2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.  3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.  4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him:  for he was to pass that way.  5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.  6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.  7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.  8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord:  Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.  9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.  10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  Luke 7:  37-50, KJV:  37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,  38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.  39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him:  for she is a sinner.  40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.  41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors:  the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.  42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?  43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.  44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet:  but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.  45 Thou gavest me no kiss:  but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.  46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint:  but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.  47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much:  but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.  48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.  49 And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?  50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply centers on the acceptance and finality of prophecy, and on the warnings in Scripture against false prophets.  The disapproval, skepticism, and unbelief of created beings and living creatures have no power to annul divine utterance, or make it vain (empty; without spirit substance from the makeup of GOD).  Sacred prophecies declaring divine prerogative, eternal purposes, and the sovereign will of GOD all are certain of fulfillment, and are dismissed or ignored only at great risk.  Included are prophesies that address Advent (we say, the harvest; his appearing; the Rapture; the Resurrection; the Second Coming), the end times, the final judgment of the wicked, the second death,  the elimination of mortality and sin as well as the descent of the holy city, New Jerusalem, from heaven to the earth.  One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” Religion and Spirituality forum using the  ID “Skittles” (Level 3 with 1,292 points, a member since May 12, 2012) posted the following:

What does this verse mean: “Whenever it is that they are saying, “Peace and Security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly on them.”?

1 Thessalonians 5:3

Who says this? How is religion and government involved? How will it affect us?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.  For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.  And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.  We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:  Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man:  but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.  (2nd Peter 1:  16-21, King James Version, KJV)

“Skittles”, many respond to prophecy with denial.  (For example, when Jesus prophesied that he would be crucified, the Apostle Peter insisted on voicing his own desire (it would not be so), and was severely rebuked by Jesus.)  Given the operations of the flesh will resist prophecy, the sacred wisdom developing Christian believers receive through the holy writings include multiple admonitions, advice, alerts, counsels, declarations of divine law, guidance, instruction, divine proclamations, warnings, and prophecies that provide comfort, edification, and exhortation.  Believers must practice discernment whereby they use their own spirit endowment from GOD as a standard to recognize, respond to, and connect with the same spirit content as it appears within events, exchanges, other people, relationships, the Scriptures, etc.  Often, legitimate messages announcing the will of divinity are despised, dismissed, and rejected because they do not agree with popular opinions, carnal reason, or material and social dictates.  Disbelievers, skeptics, and those bearing malice will contradict, distort, and oppose divine truth by offering alternative ideas and “what they want to hear” that are properly labeled and understood as “false prophecy,” even though they may contain useful information from such areas as philosophy, politics, science, and technology.  Consider again the following points that use language from the Bible:

(1.)  Jeremiah 23:  14-17, King James Version (KJV):  14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing:  they commit adultery, and walk in lies:  they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness; they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.  15 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall:  for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.  16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you:  they make you vain:  they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.  17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

(2.)  Ezekiel 13:  1-3, KJV:  1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,  2 Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD;  3 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

(3.)  Ezekiel 13:  10-14, KJV:  10 Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered mortar:  11 Say unto them which daub it with untempered mortar, that it shall fall:  there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.  12 Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?  13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.  14 So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered mortar, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof:  and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Isaiah 30:  8-15, KJV:  8 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:  9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD:  10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:  11 Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.  12 Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon:  13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.  14 And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters’ vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare:  so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit.  15 For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength:  and ye would not.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply focuses on the fact that Jesus is alive right now, and will be seen soon by all upon the earth.  Because Jesus is alive, divine spirit substance is going forth from divinity that allows men, women and children on the earth to exist having a different sense of direction, purpose, and value.  One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:

What is the most important thing to know about Jesus?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.  And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.  Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you:  as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.  And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:  Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.  But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.  The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.  And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them:  then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.  Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side:  and be not faithless, but believing.  And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.  Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed:  blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.  (John 20:  19-29,King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Christ Is The Firstborn (12/26/2017); Heaven Temporal, GOD Eternal (12/12/2017); “Occupy Till I Come” (08/30/2017); Divinity Appears Using Form (07/26/2017); Waiting On The Lord? (06/16/2017); Become Like Jesus Christ? (10/27/2016); Word, Son, and Christ? (08/24/2016); The Imminent Return of Christ? (07/19/2015)

Anonymous”, one of the simplest points of truth regarding Jesus—that also seems to be the most challenged, the most denied, and the most overlooked—is that he lives!  Like the tribes of Jacob and the mixed multitude (Gentiles) who left with Moses, who survived the slaying of the first born, who walked through the walls of water at the Red Sea, and who later behaved as disbelieving, faithless and skeptical, many today, who are not continuous in the fellowship, work and worship within the church community are quick to forget the accounts of Christ’s resurrection and return to heaven.  More than this, they usually are unaware of the rich promises and prophecies shared to prepare mankind for the Savior coming to harvest the earth.

Those who are “born again” also must “grow up again,” and as developing believers they are to display spirit content from the makeup of GOD (e.g., faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, wrath against sin) and maintain vigilance.  Because many respond to the true teachings shared by the church with fear, resentment, and spiritual confusion, the eternal life of Jesus is often dismissed along with his participation in the fullness of divinity (we say, the GODhead; the Father, the Son, and The Holy Spirit).

Where Jesus Christ appeared earlier as prophet, servant, healer, and teacher, he is next to appear as Judge, High Priest, Savior, and King.  The Advent of Jesus (also called, his appearing, “the Day of the Lord,” the Rapture, and the Second Coming) is a sacred event that must occur for the completion of ongoing divine judgment, revelation, and new creation.   Those who are ripe (i.e., spiritually mature) and belong to Christ will be taken from the earth.  Those who have died will be restored to life in what is called the first resurrection, and will “meet him in the air” with the living who are his followers.  Those who are left behind must be taken up in a second resurrection that focuses on judgment of the wicked and the final elimination of sin.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, 1st Thessalonians 5:  1-6, King James Version (KJV):  1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.  2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.  3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.  4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.  5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day:  we are not of the night, nor of darkness.  6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, Scripture points are shared on doubt, salvation, and spiritual growth.  Athletes who achieve as great runners all begin as babes who may wobble and fall when they first begin to stand.  Like such babes, the followers of Jesus Christ also gradually develop to their full strength.  The holy writings include many teachings that encourage believers to receive their salvation as a dynamic process of growth, not simply a one-time event.  (For example:  Romans 1:  16-18, King James Version (KJV):  16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:  for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.  17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:  as it is written, The just shall live by faith.  18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;  19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.  20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:).  Where salvation is accepted as movement from faith to faith there is directed change and passage through multiple levels of relationship.  One of the many fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:

If I doubt my salvation does that mean I’m not saved?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:  that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.  And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;  And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;  And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.  For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.  Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure:  for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:  For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  (2nd Peter 1:  2-11, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Simple and Mature Faith (09/05/2016); Abstractions, Atheism and I.Q. (08/18/2016); The Problem of Faith? (05/22/2016); Offspring of GOD? (12/23/2015); The Resurrection of Jesus Acknowledged? (04/03/2015); Understanding Spiritual Growth? (03/13/2015); Help Thou Mine Unbelief (12/31/2014)

“Anonymous”, one may be saved, and yet (like “new born babes”) not be an effective worker in the ministry from Christ.  The operations of doubt are often called “analysis paralysis,” and give one an appearance of idleness, ignorance, immaturity, and indecisiveness.  The forms of doubt include disbelief, distrust, hesitation, skepticism, and uncertainty.  Like sin, doubt opposes the continued existence of divine law, the completion of duty, obedience, and fulfillment of prophecy.  Doubt dampens and quenches the imparted, indwelling Spirit of GOD, thereby rendering a believer impotent, useless, and vain.  A person who lacks commitment, sacred knowledge, and is not anchored and disciplined by their duties, sacraments and truth, eventually will display backsliding, falling away (apostasy), and no growth or increase of spiritual authority and power.  Christian believers all are challenged and confronted by changes, distractions, errors, and opposition from unseen influences and “winds” that include the Adversary, ones own changeable emotions, pleasures, and wrongdoing.  Sinners must acquire faith, develop discernment (ability to recognize spirit content from the makeup of divinity within events, motives, opportunities, other persons, themselves, etc.), and maintain focus upon eternal purposes.  Only through such divine provisions do we become anchored and have unshakeable conviction.  Consider again how some of this is stated using language from the Bible:

(1.)  1st Peter 2:  1-5, King James Version (KJV):  1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,  2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:  3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.  4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,  5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

(2.)  James 1:  5-8, KJV:  5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.  6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.  7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.  8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

(3.)  Hebrews 5:  12-14, KJV:  12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.  13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness:  for he is a babe.  14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

There is far more to be said, carefully examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Ephesians 4:  11-16, KJV:  11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:  13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:  14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;  15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:  16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, points are shared to show that the processes to proclaim and preserve truth regarding Jesus Christ must be carried out by divinity.  Correctly understood, Christ is experienced and known only as the Lord continuously abides within his living believers and followers in the form of spirit content from the makeup of GOD.  Multiple sacred operations that are carried out by Deity must come into awareness such as atonement, forbearance, forgiveness, Incarnation, priesthood, sacrifice, resurrection, Transfiguration, and ascension.  Because they typically focus on things that are carnal, material and social, even a detailed biography and other forms of documentation and formal writing from ancient times would not convey prophecy and spirit content as do the holy writings.  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “fumblesmcst00l” (Level 2 with 453 points, a member since January 05, 2011) posted the following:

Why didn’t anyone bother recording the life of Jesus while he was actually alive? Why did it take some 80 years to write about ‘god’s son’?

Update:  Point being, a super-human god walking around performing magic and a whole fan-club in tow seems like something to scribble into the diary. I’d expect thousands of different perspectives to turn up from all over the world. There just isn’t.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:  Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man:  but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.  (2nd Peter 1:  19-21, KJV)

fumblesmcst00l”, most correctly understood, the communication of divine truth and sacred knowledge is not accomplished using finite human tools such as intellect, logic, philosophy, science, and technology.  Revelation (i.e., divinity being made knowable and known to created beings and living creatures) must be accomplished through the “active presence” of Deity.  Thus, the visceral event of Jesus dying upon the cross is required along with exchanges and interactions among imparted spirit matter (we also say, breath, life essence, word) from the makeup of GOD.  Included must be inseparable aspects of divinity such as faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, law (the expressed will of GOD), wisdom, and wrath against sin.

Sacred truth is preserved as living routines and sacraments maintained by communities chosen to serve in witness (we say, congregations of the anointed, the elect).  This agrees with evidences derived from academic and secular studies showing only devotees within an exclusive priestly class are initiated into the “mysteries” or seen endowed with “holy writings” in cultures relying upon oral history, and where literacy was not widespread.  The publishing of public information regarding Jesus as Son of GOD was strictly controlled by the Romans and Jews through oppression and persecution that included excommunication from the synagogues and the Temple, imprisonment, torture, and death.  With this in view, even private communications such as epistles and letters, had to be encoded, guarded, and made so personal they would be useless to disbelievers.

There is far more that should be said, understood, and spiritually taken in.  (For example, mature Christian believers trust that, through operations of the Holy Spirit, blood, correction, and truth from the cross are flowing to here and now.  Even so, preaching the cross is not clearly heard in cultures that breed consumerism, deceit, fantasy, idolatry, ignorance, materialism, politics, pride, pseudo-intellectualism, and skepticism.  Many who will hear and read this statement will dismiss it because they lack discernment that comes only by spiritual practice and application.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

The absence of information in secular accounts and records for on sacred events and miracles are considered, today.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” who use the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:

Do you find it odd that the dead were risen from their graves after Jesus’s resurrection walked into Jerusalem?

were supposedly seen by many people and yet only one guy wrote about the occurrence?

You think the Romans would have noticed that.

Matthew 27: 51-53 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split. The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs, and after Jesus’ resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many people.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.  Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God:  and they that hear shall live.  For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;  And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.  Marvel not at this:  for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,  And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.  (John 5:  24-29, KJV)

“Anonymous”, when they were first written, the New Testament accounts of miracles and sacred events we now receive through writings in the public domain (or available with copyright restrictions) were originally circulated and shared as personal memoirs, private correspondence, and the peculiar inheritance and tools maintained only by apostles, priests and prophets.  Such material was not intended for those outside the circle of believers.

Christian reports and writings did not come under the severe academic, intellectual, and pedestrian scrutiny we see today.
Keep in mind that the anecdotes, gospels, epistles, testimonies, and declarations of faith valued among the followers of Jesus were of little importance within the framework for systematic military conquest and the rule of nations as pursued by Rome.  Jesus stood accused before the governor, Pontius Pilate, as an unknown figure put on trial by the Jews for their capital crime of blasphemy.  Pilate knew nothing of the crowds that had assembled to hear Jesus speak, that had been healed, and that had been convinced Jesus is the Messiah.  Knowing that such reports would be met with condemnation, indifference, and skepticism, even the Jews who accused Jesus, gave Pilate no description of Christ’s ministry.

Correctly understood, the holy writings (i.e., both Old and New Testament) convey sacred knowledge, and spirit matter from the makeup of divinity (e.g., faith, holiness, longsuffering, wisdom, wrath against sin).  The Scriptures are fitted together to exist as a closed system of divine law, history, and prophesy.  No man receives such truth except through operations of GOD.  Consider again the teachings:

(1.)  1st Corinthians 12:  3, King James Version (KJV):  3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed:  and that, no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

(2.)  John 3:  12, KJV:  3 If I have told you of earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  2nd Corinthians 1:  18, KJV:  18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
