Today, focus is upon how those upon the earth are to demonstrate love to GOD.  The divine process whereby created beings and living creatures are to be in direct relationship with GOD who is spirit, in fact, is achieved by having active presence within GOD who is Son, Jesus Christ.  As believers become joined and immersed within the Savior through operations of the Holy Spirit upon their consciousness and self-will, the fullness of their love appears and is manifest alive and present with the Father.  Just as  Christ did, the believer is to be a blessing to others while upon the earth, and serve as a free gift from GOD.  The fighter at “Yahoo! How do i gain god’s love? I want to be more righteous. I want to have a relationship with God, but how?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:  old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;  To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.  Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us:  we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.  (2nd Corinthians 5:  17-21, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Learning From A Spirit? (08/25/2016); In Relationship With Divinity? (08/16/2016); Yet In My Flesh… (06/07/2016); (It Takes The Cross 04/22/2016); Love That Is Spirit? (01/28/2016); Diversity and the Church? (07/22/2015); When Asked to Serve? (01/21/2015)

“maxwell”,  the love of GOD is a free gift, however, everyone is required to tarry (patiently, quietly wait) for it.  Most mature Christian believers agree that there is no way for created beings and living creatures to draw, entice, hurry, or manipulate the feelings and thoughts (we say, heart and mind) of GOD.  Even so, revelation by divinity has shown that the expression of divine love from Deity is an ongoing sacred process involving communication, exchange, and interaction with the living, and is inseparable from the eternal purposes of continuing existence and life.  Sinners already have the love of GOD; therefore, their “issues” may be thought of as how to acknowledge, discern (i.e., use their own spirit content to recognize and respond to spirit from the makeup of GOD within actions, doctrine, events, oneself, other persons, sacred writings, etc.), and more completely and correctly show their own heartfelt gratitude and respect to GOD.  Believers are given methods and practices (we say, sacraments) to continue their focus, growth and lifestyle as Christians.  Included among them are church attendance, contemplation, praise, prayer, prophecy, receiving the Lord’s Supper, unselfish service, study of the holy writings, and suffering.  In the same way, we show our love to a close friend by also being an ally, a protector, a supporter, and a loyal friend to their parents, spouse and children, Christian believers are to love whom GOD loves, in the way GOD loves.  Thus, we show our love to the Father by our welcome to the Son whom he has sent, and we show our love to the Son by acceptance of the Comforter whom he has sent.  Godly and spiritual love are not demonstrated in displays of affection, hugs, or kisses so much as by comfort, forbearance, forgiveness, humility, meekness, sacrifice, sharing, and acts of reconciliation.  Consider how some of this is stated using language from the Bible:

(1.)  John 6:  24-29, King James Version (KJV):  24 When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.  25 And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?  26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.  27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you:  for him hath God the Father sealed.  28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?  29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

(2.)  1st John 3:  16-21, KJV:  16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us:  and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.  17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?  18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.  19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.  20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.  21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

(3.)  Hebrews 11:  5-6, KJV:  5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him:  for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.  6 But without faith it is impossible to please him:  for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

There is far more to be said, carefully examined, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Focus, today, is upon Jesus Christ as the only provision from Deity for the preservation of Creation, existence, and life from the makeup of divinity.  The mature followers of Jesus participate as agents for the Savior’s priesthood, and rule as king.  Those opposing unity of Christ and the Holy Spirit as the one sent from the full divine person we call the GODhead also condemn the word sent, sacred inheritance, repentance and godly sorrow for sin, the cleansing and healing of Creation as well as the sovereignty of the Father who has done the sending.  Those who come having an antichrist spirit, and in the name of the Adversary, bring only condemnation, confusion, death, deceit, despair, destruction, and lies.  Consider the following, and the presentation below:

Deuteronomy 18:  18-20, King James Version (KJV):  18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.  19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.  20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

Galatians 4:  4-7, KJV:  4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,  5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.  6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.  7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Acts 3:  22-26, KJV:  22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.  23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.  24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.  25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.  26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

Matthew 18:  4-9, KJV:  4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.  5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.  6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.  7 Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!  8 Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee:  it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.  9 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee:  it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

How can it be true that the only work God wants of us is to believe in the one he has sent?

That’s what Jesus said in John 6:29, answering people who said “We want to perform God’s works, too. What should we do?” Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: believe in the one he has sent.” Can anyone expand on this to explain its meaning?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;  Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:  Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.  (Hebrews 1:  1-4, KJV)

“Annsan_In_ Him”, many have been sent from GOD.  Various principles for Deity working among the living are quietly displayed through both Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit being “sent” to minister the divine presence among mankind.  Along with protection from GOD, those who are agents of divinity will be instruments of divine authority, forgiveness, love, mercy, and power.  Even so, for many mature Christian believers, “the one sent” is a sign and seal upon divine prophecy that authenticates and verifies the origin, and truth for sacred covenants, events (we say, miracles) and promises as well as utterance by the Holy Spirit through chosen spokespersons (we say, apostles and prophets).  Accepting and endorsing the one sent is pivotal to continued existence and permanence through the operations of divinity (we say, eternal life).

The birth of Jesus Christ upon the earth is unlike finite one-time events, for it continues to put forth fresh meaning, quality, and value as an aspect of things that are eternal.  Christ is an appearance or manifestation of GOD in flesh (we say, Incarnate), and operates through, upon and within the consciousness and self-will of all created beings and livings creatures—even those who disbelieve, like Phara0h whose heart was hardened to repeatedly challenge Moses).

Through Christ, all the things of divinity intended for the living are to be crystallized, clearly displayed, carried out, and completed.  Because men must apprehend these things through gradual life experience (e.g., discovery, growth, learning, suffering), teachings to speak of the divine operations on behalf of mankind use such terms as Advent, assurance, certainty, faith, longsuffering, maturing, patience, revelation, testimony, “the second death,” and waiting.  Consider again the following from the holy writings:

(1.)  Exodus 3:  12-14, King James Version (KJV):  12 And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.  13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?  14 And God said unto Moses, I AM That I AM:  and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

(2.)  2nd Chronicles 36:  14-16, KJV:  14 Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the LORD which he had hallowed in Jerusalem.  15 And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:  16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy.

(3.)  John 17:  1-3, KJV:  1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:  2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.  3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

(4.)  John 14:  15-18, KJV:  15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.  16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;  17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him:  but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.  18 I will not leave you comfortless:  I will come to you.

(5.)  Mark 9:  37, KJV:  37 Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me:  and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

There is far more to be said, understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (Sixty-six books of the Bible can not be reduced to a few verses.  Thus, for example, it should be shared, (6.)  Habakkuk 2:  2-4, KJV:  2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.  3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie:  though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.  4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him:  but the just shall live by his faith.)  I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

The question, What should we do at the time of his Advent (the Second Coming of Jesus)? is the topic, today.  Usually, I avoid presenting my own prayers in this setting, a sacred writings blog, because my prayers are intimate expressions intended for GOD, not for my readers.  However, all believers are obliged to share now whatever encouragements, gifts, helps, and sacred truth they may have, and not to withhold them until the day of his Coming.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth:  for the LORD hath spoken it.  And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.  (Isaiah 25:  8-9, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Loving Someone Unseen? (05/03/2014); Lot and the Angels (05/04/2014); Cleansing the Temple, and the Body (03/16/2014); GOD to “Try Harder”? (03/17/2014); About the Second Coming? (01/18/2014); Unprofitable Servants? (01/19/2014)

Having heard the trumpet sound, and the shout of the archangel, my first thoughts were that I would run out of doors.  I would want to see with my own eyes the Lord coming with the clouds from heaven.  I thought to myself, I would probably have my socks on already, so I would quickly slip on some shoes (probably would not tie the strings); and I would go downstairs into the front yard and stand, facing the East.

When I realized, there might be a crowd outside, and that others might rush outside, just like me; I considered how some would fall to their knees in prayer.  The words, “I’m sorry” and “I didn’t mean to do it” would be on the lips of many men, women, and children.  However, the purpose of the Coming is not to call us into embarrassment, fear of judgment, guilt, and remorse.  Many will be terrified; and all the forms of fear will be present, including awe, anxiety, fright, and panic.  On the one hand, the Advent is not an “I gotcha” moment.  On the other hand, the Coming will immediately declare the final judgment.  The time for prayers requesting forgiveness will already be over; and the time for prayers to acknowledge, welcome, yield, and show respect will be upon us.

There will be a moment for prayers that say, Thank you for your grace.  I confess, I am not worthy of all the wonderful blessings you intend for those who have become yours, purchased by atonement and blood, by faith, by love, and by truth.   You are worthy to be accepted as our Supreme Ruler, honored, obeyed, praised, and trusted.  Please, do come to us, Lord Jesus, the Lamb of GOD that taketh away the sin of the world.  Savior.  Son of the Highest.

It occurred to me, many of us will be unclean because of blood, sweat, urine, and other body fluids.  I thought, there will probably be time to run back upstairs and wash, put on a clean shirt, a tie, or even change my underwear!  (Some of us already do that, every day they dress in “go to meetin’ clothes,” just to be ready in case “today might be the day.”)  However, I realized, the living will probably not be as unclean as those decayed and rotten from the grave.  All are to be caught up in the air, and in the twinkling of an eye, all will be made permanently clean, immortal, incorruptible, and sanctified.

The most difficult challenge the believer must face is that of learning to tarry (we sometimes say, Let go, let GOD).  Yet, one does not tarry by being idle, being indifferent, being lazy, or being unobservant.  Patiently waiting for Christ is made easy as we serve, and never become weary of well-doing.  To tarry is to maintain vigilance, stay alert, to watch and pray.  Thus, believers discipline their minds to maintain focus in the promises of GOD; become skilled at waiting without having to be busy with unnecessary activity; learn to be effective functioning as independent persons without companions and peers; and master sitting in silence as well as continuously walking by faith, not by sight.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, those who welcome Christ each day through their morning devotions, prayers and Scripture studies will not feel pressured to do anything extraordinary, or unusual.  Like those who appear in times of crisis and emergency that we later call heroes, these prepared believers will probably display what they consider the “natural”, “normal” and “routine” thing:  Laughter, tears of joy, unselfish thoughts of loved ones.  Surely, many will say,  Father as I come to you through this ministry of Jesus Christ, I have no idea where I am to go, or how I may become all you would have me to be.  Even so, we are your people and the sheep of your pasture.  Guide us, lead us, shear us, slaughter us; all that we are, and all we may become belongs to you.  We come to you without silver and gold; and we are willing to abandon all worldly ambition.  You have granted us a foretaste of glory divine.  We are now trusting in the promises for resurrection and eternal life.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Hope as an aspect of Christian belief is considered, today, along with more on experiences of Jesus appearing to believers after his resurrection.  The “Yahoo! Answers United Kingdom” writer using ID “i § seals” (Level 4 with 4,381 points, a member since June 3, 2012) posted the following:

How can hope be certainty?

hope
/hop/
Noun
A feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.
Verb
Want something to happen or be the case: “he’s hoping for compensation”; “I hope that the kids are OK”.
Synonyms
noun. expectation – expectancy – expectance – trust – promise
verb. trust – expect – anticipate

cer·tain·ty
/’s?rtnte/
Noun
Firm conviction that something is the case.
The quality of being reliably true: “a bewildering lack of certainty in the law”.
Synonyms
certitude – assurance – sureness – surety – assuredness

It seems that hope cannot be certainty, no matter how good one thinks it sounds. If I “hope” for a free car tomorrow, it is not “certain” that I’ll get it. In fact, if one is “certain”, “hope” becomes redundant.

Zen your way out of that one.

Additional Details

It’s not an “attack”, Richard, it’s just a question.

THE BATTLE AXE:  A Need to Know? (09/04/2013)—(5.)  There are experiences of GOD granted among mankind on what seems to be a “need to know” basis.  Experiences of seeing Jesus as Risen Lord seem not to be for everyone, everywhere.  On the one hand, where one believer has a peculiar anointing, gift or experience of truth, the full body of believers are understood as having that anointing, that gift, and that truth.  On the other hand, those who receive special visitations often must also endure vicious opposition, great suffering, persecution, and death:  To whom much is given from him, much is required.  Apparitions and visitations that are to reinforce faith can also to be regarded as “put downs” for pride, and “extra strength” rebuke to establish a believer in humility.  They are not so much answers, rewards and conclusions of spiritual growth as they are beginnings.  See Luke 12:  42-48 and 1st Corinthians 12:  18-23, King James Version.  (6.)  In Christ, preparation for ministry of the gospel may begin in both positive and negative life experiences that seem entirely secular and irrelevant to Christian belief.  Included may be the challenges and trials endured in bereavement and loss of family and friends, childbearing and homemaking, combat and military service, manual labor in construction, farming and raising livestock, or marriage, divorce and sexual relationships.  The continuous operation of GOD through ones life experiences supplies growth and material that result in the special instances of holy encounter, insight, spiritual benefit, and sacred vision.  Often, it is the broad mosaic of life experience that must appear before one embraces church attendance, regular prayer, and daily study of the holy writings.  (7.)  Believers are wise to examine and review their own experience for life lessons from GOD.  However, the choice to make “baggage” of experience from the past is unrighteous and unwise.  It is more correct to acknowledge GOD as cause and source, and not to attribute all to personal failure, sin and wretchedness.  Again, see Psalms 119:  1-17, John 9:  1-3, Luke 9:  51-62 and Ephesians 2:  1-9, King James Version.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  A voice was heard upon the high places, weeping and supplications of the children of Israel:  for they have perverted their way, and they have forgotten the LORD their God.  Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings.  Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the LORD our God.  Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains:  truly in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel.  For shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.  We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us:  for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.  (Jeremiah 3:  21-25, King James Version)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Our Present Comfort? (06/28/2013); Come As You Are (06/29/2013); The Ascension of Christ? (12/19/2012); GOD in Schools? (12/20/2012)

Here are a few points you may find helpful that are commonly shared among those anchored in Christian belief:

(1.)  Certain hope cannot be based upon ideas that are generated from animal instinct, fantasy, imagination, or lies.  Thus, hope may not be carnal, material, social and temporal in its nature.  Believers are correct to hope only for the completion and fulfillment of ongoing divine operations, promises recorded in the holy writings, and the events described as sacred prophecy.  Hope is always certain when grounded in truth that proceeds from GOD.

(2.)  To hope is to have expectation, and to quietly wait for things anticipated.  Thus, to hope is to “tarry”, and to display a content of being that derives from the imparted, indwelling spirit of GOD.  Included are aspects of divinity obtained through baptism and being “born again” such as faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, love, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Saying this another way:  A believer must only hope for what they are commanded and instructed to expect.  All else would be “vain” hope, hope void of divine substance, that even when fulfilled cannot provide lasting contentment.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  For example, (3.) Hope operates as persistence and spiritual tenacity that provide strength against forces and influences promoting arbitrary change, despair, giving up, letting go, and quitting.  In this sense, the believer is like the professional gambler who never depends upon chance, avoids the “sucker bet,” and only bets “the sure thing.”  The hope of believers in Jesus Christ, go beyond healing, daily nourishment or shelter, and cleansing from sin.  The Christian hopes for increasing measures of the ongoing revelation of GOD, and the intimate place as sons and daughters within the celestial presence.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
