Today, reply is on divine wrath against sin, the duty of covenant partners to enforce covenant law, and the faithfulness of GOD as a covenant-keeper. Mankind has ongoing relationship with divinity only through the character, makeup, and operations of GOD, rather than through finite human abilities and self-will. Man must rely on sacred elements that include divine forbearance, grace, faithfulness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, eternal purpose, and wisdom. Correction and punishment from GOD are not arbitrary, capricious, lawless, or imposed without warnings. Those guilty of offenses are granted a season of grace wherein guidance and instruction are available along with opportunities to change, gradually grow, learn, and display improved attitudes and behavior. It is written: Hebrews 12: 3-10, King James Version (KJV): 3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. 4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. 5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. Anonymous”, the conditions for covenant agreement with GOD include both accepting correction, and cancellation of the relationship with divine fullness. The words you ask about are not being spoken to a gang of liars, thieves, and murderers by a criminal boss to exhort and give license to violence. Rather, they are words from GOD as a jealous, yet, righteous judge spoken against his marriage partners on the earth (the 7 tribes of Canaan) who have betrayed him, entered into adulterous worship with idols and lesser gods, and have scorned all his displays of forgiveness, lovingkindness, and mercy in judgment. GOD speaks to the anointed and ordained officers of the court (we say, the executioners) who are lawfully authorized to carry out sentence against those who repeatedly attack divine order. They are not being surrendered to destruction because of their existence as carnal, finite, and material; because of their ethnicity, race, and national origin; or because of their human limitations and struggles resulting from gender and sexuality. It is not that divinity is pursuing blood because of bias, discrimination, partiality, or prejudice. It is that behaving as incorrigible, their own commitment, process, and substance contradict and oppose the continued existence of divine law, the Lawgiver, and the universe that makes manifest the invisible person of GOD. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible, and a selection from the music ministry of Wintley Phipps:

Today, reply is on mankind being in covenant with divinity, the problem of sin as an obstacle to all existence, and the miracles at Aijalon where GOD caused the sun and moon to stand still. The holy writings report more than simply the ongoing human predicament that has resulted from sin; there are multiple accounts of one-time events on a divine scale that should be acknowledged as the primary focus of the Scriptures. The process and substance of GOD are revealed through expressions of sacred law, divine prerogative, eternal purpose, and divine fullness as the origin of life. The natural event of astronomical objects becoming fixed in the sky and suspending the operations of time and space is overshadowed and surpassed in its significance by an incontestable display of authority, power, and sovereign majesty from the Creator acting in judgment and divine wrath against sin. Bible believers, what is the REAL problem in Joshua 10:12-13: “Let the sun stand still over Gibeon, and the moon over the valley of Aijalon”?

13 So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies…”

and its supposed result of sunlight lasting into what would have been night so that the Israelites would have time to slaughter their enemies?

Never mind the problem of god stopping the rotation of the earth, or any other such “explanation” that is typically given.

If you are able to comprehend and think about that quote rationally and with an understanding of what it states, you should be able to realize what would ACTUALLY occur concerning that verse in the context of today’s knowledge.

A response of “God can do whatever he wants to do” instead of stating the problem is not an answer.

So, what do you think the REAL problem is, even if you believe your god could work around it?

Joe, passing a belief in the supernatural for an answers is an excuse, not an answer.

Regardless, what I was getting to is that if you are able think about it rationally, you should be able see what would ACTUALLY occur concerning that verse in the context of today’s knowledge.

The point is whether you have the rational capability of recognizing the problem REGARDLESS of whether you go on to pass it off to the supernatural.

Apparently you don’t.

Lighting the Way to Reality”, we need to see with new eyes; to grasp the miracles at Aijalon, our focus has to be on the eternal purpose divinity addressed by making the sun and moon stand still, rather than the human aims and practical goals involved. Mature Christian believers acknowledge the existence of sin that is no imagined, occult, or supernatural thing. Sin is no carnal or material object created by GOD or man, contains no spirit substance, and has not been put forth by divinity. Even so, sin is described as having direction, effect, and presence; and sin may dominate awareness and self-will within created beings and living creatures. The operations of sin can be observed conforming to mechanical process and natural law; yet, sin itself is an enigma and a puzzle that has no answer and can not be eliminated, explained or dissolved by mankind relying on finite human tools such as intellect, logic, science and self-will (willpower). Sin opposes the continued existence of sacred law, the divine order that is our universe, the Lawgiver, and the existing spheres of life. More than simply destruction through weather events or eruptions that are natural occurrences on the earth, sin promotes a return to the conditions of chaos, confusion, and flux that were in place before the founding of heaven and earth (we say, preexistence).

For man on the earth to apprehend the problem of sin requires more than carnal reason, secular knowledge, and mental focus on material existence. Sin appears as the controlling aspect within the betrayal of divine trust made visible by covenant relationship, the transgression of divine law, and the rejection of sacred provisions for cleansing, correction, healing and restoration. Sinners who turn to divinity seeking relief from sin through Jesus Christ are granted sacred knowledge and divine resources that include a fresh endowment of life essence (breath; spirit; word) imparted from the makeup of GOD. Included are inseparable aspects of divine fullness such as balance, completeness, faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, personhood, oneness without sameness, righteousness, self-government, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

The process within covenant relationship between the Creator and the created is one of revelation whereby divinity is being made knowable, known, accessible, and approachable to the living. Believers are provided with the same mind-set and consciousness that was in Jesus Christ through discovery, fellowship, gradual growth, observing sacred practices (e.g., fasting, praise, prayer, worship), study of the holy writings, unselfish service, and the godly endurance of suffering. Other Gods Before Me

 

Today, reply is on divine grace, the holy name, and the reputation of divinity as Jealous. No gods actually exist, however, the operations of sin may dominate consciousness and self-will within created beings and living creatures such that they become corrupted and consumed. Like forbearance, forgiveness, grace, and restraint, divine jealousy appears in line with the personhood whereby the Creator continues communication, exchange, and ongoing relationship within the Godhead, and throughout the universe. For mankind, jealousy is to be acknowledged as a manifestation of divinity in a process of crafting relationship, and is more than an expression of human emotion and inordinate affection. Divine character and the wrath of GOD are not directed against created beings and living creatures so much as against all transgressions of sacred law; idolatry; extending to man-made objects glory, praise, and worship belonging to GOD; and the practice of worship to graven images, false gods, or devils and beings lesser than the divine fullness (we say, the Godhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit). The jealousy of GOD must exist because GOD is the summation of all divine substance. Despite being deposited within multiple physical and visible forms, the existence, life, and spirit substance throughout Creation remain an inseparable aspect of GOD; and GOD will be active and responsive to his own content unlimited by time and space. What some call “the doing” is not our believing, our paying the mortgage, our getting the kids to school on time; rather, “the doing” is judgment, redemption, resurrection, salvation, and the second death. It is written: Ezekiel 39: 24-29, King James Version (KJV): 24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them. 25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name; 26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid. 27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations; 28 Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there. 29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD. With or without the existence of mankind, jealousy will exist through the active presence who is GOD. The jealousy expressed by divinity is a response to human errors and idolatry, violations of covenant, and transgressions of sacred law, rather than a human reaction to betrayal in a love relationship. Jealousy appears on the basis of lawful dominion, ownership, and the imperatives of sovereign rule by GOD. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

Ephesians 2: 8-10, King James Version (KJV): 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

2. Romans 11: 5-6, KJV: 5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. 6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

He Became Sin

Today, reply is on why mankind may not make atonement, endure divine punishment, or pay for their own sins. Through Jesus Christ, men living on the earth are to become recognizable as an aspect of divine fullness, even, the righteousness of GOD. Because sin is the transgression of divine law, sin pertains to the expressed will of divinity, and is more than a discrete human event that emerges from self-will. The accomplishment of salvation for mankind requires more than the gifts and tools possessed by those on the earth. The finite devices of intellect, logic, philosophy, carnal reason, and science can not eliminate sin that is completely and correctly identified only when using divine law, and through ongoing sacred relationships. Anonymous”, babes and sinners who are just beginning to seek release from sin by turning to Jesus Christ are encouraged using devices that are familiar, plain, and simple. Forbearance and forgiveness are shown by divinity on the basis that their character and nature emanates love. However, receiving the permanent changes within ones spirit makeup, becoming mature in sacred knowledge, and being able to consistently respond to divine process is challenging. Developing believers must receive fresh endowments of the same life essence (breath; spirit; word) that was imparted to Adam from the makeup of GOD. Included are faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

Apart from divinity appearing in the earth and ministering from heaven as Jesus Christ, mankind can not fully understand, resist, destroy, or eliminate sin. We say, sin is an enigma (a puzzle having no solution); for sin is no material, physical, or spirit object that has not been put forth by the Creator. Even so, sin has direction, effect, and presence; and sin may dominate consciousness and self-will (we say, willpower) within created beings and living creatures. Sin opposes the continued existence of all sacred law, the Lawgiver, and divine order throughout the universe. Sin promotes non-existence and a return to the conditions in place before the founding of heaven and earth (we say, preexistence). Because the living unknowingly acknowledge sin as a natural, normal aspect of full person, many fail to recognize that sin is contrary to both divine and human existence.

Christian belief declares that only through direct acts of GOD using the form of mankind (i.e., flesh and blood), and continuous sacred operations of divinity can the damage from sin be reconfigured and halted. Men do not have sufficient spiritual strength and willpower; therefore, divinity appears demonstrating authentic humanity, and then displays the destruction of sin while on the cross. Christ would manifest the fullness of sin in place of his own divine mind, sacred heart, eternal purposes, and exalted love. Jesus actually would become the ungodly element that has to be totally destroyed and separated from life.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, in all these things there is the putting aside of time and space. The cleansing required by sin on the earth also must occur within the celestial temple and Sanctuary of heaven. While the death of a sinner terminates their ability to sin, the consequences and influence of their sin continue for as much as four generations (160 years). Believers who enter into the death of Jesus Christ become his new creation, and are made alive in continuing relationship with divinity through the resurrection of Jesus, not by their own resurrection that is for the purpose of their appearing in judgment.) While the primary work of the Bible is to make GOD knowable, known, accessible, and approachable, the Bible also must expose the otherwise unseen process and substance of sin. The account of incest committed by the daughters of Lot does not appear as the kind of romantic story we often see now in movies and television. The characters do not repeatedly express burning lust and passion as in novels and stories for amusement and entertainment. At a time when the covenant law for Israel was not yet written in stone by the finger of GOD, divinity appeared within their lives through their association with Abraham and the covenant of circumcision. Angels were dispatched to secure the deliverance of their father, Lot, from the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah; and their blessing was in the nature of inheritance. The girls were faced with issues of immaturity, isolation, loneliness, their mother turned to a pillar of salt by her disobedience, and the certainty that their father would not be granted another mate. They correctly acknowledged that they themselves would have to take accountability for their own life, death and survival; and mistakenly believed it was their duty to ensure their father’s name would be continued by his own heir. In this error they continued the practices of Adam, and copied Abram ensuring an heir through Hagar. That the daughters used alcohol to seduce their father shows they both realized he would deny them as unreasonable and unrighteous: both babies could have been born as females. Yoel Cohen”, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is more than simply a verbal behavior, defaming and denying the Spirit, or the use of profanity and vulgar language. To blaspheme the Spirit (we also say, the Comforter; the Holy Ghost; the Spirit of Prophecy; the Spirit of Truth) is to betray, despise, lie against, and refuse to be in accord with the Spirit. Divinity has appeared among mankind on the earth using flesh as Jesus Christ (we say, the Incarnation). Among mature Christian believers, multiple streams of truth come together when seeking to apprehend the prohibition against blaspheming the Holy Spirit. In addition to acknowledging the character, makeup and process of divine fullness (we also say, divinity; the Godhead; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) there must be a realization that personhood (we say, the image of God) imparted to mankind is to display the inseparable aspects of personhood that exist among the Godhead. Included are commitment, faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, wisdom, and wrath against sin. Communication, exchange and interaction with divinity for created beings and living creatures occurs through divine prerogative, eternal purpose, and the sovereign will of GOD.

GOD is active presence whose makeup and substance is spirit (we also say, breath; life essence; word). Spirit is diffuse, invisible, and has no material limits. Thus, men do not continue in direct personal relationship with the Holy Spirit so much as they serve as vessels that may contain gifts from the body and makeup of divinity (divine DNA, so to speak). Containing divine spirit, men and women are the children of GOD, sacred offspring, and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. Since the fall of Adam, and the condition of mortality being made constant for mankind, men on the earth may only connect, be joined to, or express themselves in continuing relationship with divinity through the ministry and works of Jesus Christ as spokesperson, Redeemer and Savior, and the Holy Spirit as the agent of the Lord. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

AN AFTERTHOUGHT: The Decalogue (the Ten Commandments) does not use the words “blasphemy”, “blaspheming”, “the Godhead,” or “the Holy Spirit.” Even so, developing and mature Christian believers usually discern and recognize the first commandments as the divine statements that provide instruction for genuine reverence and continuing relationship with divine fullness. Today, reply is on the appearance of Jesus Christ on the earth to continue and renew Creation. Multiple sacred events and promises have been established for the redemption and salvation of mankind that have no expiration date, that will not be repeated, that establish a fresh endowment of the divine nature within the living, and that will be fulfilled through final judgment and eternal life. The church does not control what a believer knows, thinks and understands so much as they encourage making godly choices and decisions, and they present, preserve and share the same sacred counsels, law and truth that has nourished hope and faith in others. A fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion and Spirituality who uses the ID “Alduin05” (Level 1 with 20 points, a member since October 08, 2017) posted the following:

 

If the Old Testament doesn’t apply anymore, why did Jesus say “I am come not to destroy the law”?

If the Old Testament doesn’t apply anymore, wouldn’t that mean the Ten Commandments are also irrelevant too?

Alduino5”, the revelation of divinity through intimate, personal relationship with GOD was begun on the earth before the first pair (Adam) became subject to conditions introduced by their transgression of divine law. Such legal devices as atonement, covenant relationship, offerings of blood, a consecrated priesthood, and inheritance have been provided to demonstrate and restore the authority, benefit and power of divine law within the consciousness and self-will of created beings and living creatures. Divine fullness (we also say, divinity; the Godhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit) has appeared on the earth using human form as Jesus Christ (Incarnation) to provide the fresh endowment of life essence (we say, breath; spirit; word) from the makeup of divinity required for the living to fulfill sacred promise, prophecy, eternal purpose, and unfinished divine works begun before the foundation of heaven and earth. Saying this another way, consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

1. Jeremiah 31: 31-36, King James Version (KJV): 31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: 33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. 35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name: 36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

2. Hebrews 9: 11-15, KJV: 11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. 13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 3. Hebrews 12: 18-25, KJV: 18 For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest, 19 And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard entreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more: 20 (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart: 21 And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:) 22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. 25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.
