A depiction of the sealed 144,000

Today, reply is on the number of those who will be saved by grace and taken up into heaven. The holy writings do not proclaim a total or specific number of sinners forgiven, of those who are the remnant from the Covenant of Moses, of those who are reconciled to GOD through Jesus Christ, of those who repent of their sins, or of those translated and otherwise taken up (e.g., Enoch, Moses, Elijah). In the same way the saved are not numbered, a number for those who lose their inheritance and welcome into the kingdom is not recorded. Even so, there are passages that developing and mature Christians are encouraged to consider prayerfully. For example, Jesus also used the following to warn those of the 12 tribes in permanent covenant as Jews who were not responding to the call of GOD delivered by his ministry. It is written: Matthew 22: 1-10, King James Version (KJV): 1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, 2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, 3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. 4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. 5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: 6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. 7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. 9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. 10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. What did Jesus say about heaven and hell? What do you think this means?

Lord, will only a few people be saved? —Luke 13:23

But remember, some who are now last will be first. And some who think they are first will be last. —Luke 13:30

THE GOLDEN ARROW: And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen. (Matthew 22: 11-14, King James Version, KJV)

Truth is within you”, consider the following that uses language from the vision of John in addition to the Gospel:

1. John 10: 14-17, KJV: 14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. 15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. 17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

2. Revelation 1: 1-2, King James Version (KJV): 1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 3. Revelation 7: 1-10, KJV: 1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. 4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. 5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. 6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. 7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. 8 Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand. 9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, the reply is on Abraham and Moses as sacred figures, rather than make-believe or fictional characters. The belief system provided to all Christians is intended to make visible the diverse actualities, opportunities, possibilities, and streams of sacred (rather than secular) truth that continue a permanent connection for our own existence and lives to that of divinity. In the same way, Israel was called out from a one-world empire, Egypt, to exist as the lawful heir and son of divinity, Christian believers are commanded to separate from this present world that is a man-made system for exchange, interaction, and survival to exist as divine offspring and joint-heirs with Jesus Christ. Consider again the spiritual application and meaning for Revelation 18: 1-5, King James Version (KJV): 1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. 4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Are Moses and Abraham real or fictional characters?

Even secular Jews say they are mythological characters and Jews were never held as slaves in Egypt

Only religious Jews and Christians say they are real

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting. (Isaiah 63: 16, King James Version, KJV)

Anonymous”, fictional characters are fashioned and intended for amusement, diversion, entertainment, and recreation. Christian belief shares a simple, yet, richly detailed and profound revelation of (1) the character, makeup, process, and substance of divine fullness (we also say, the Godhead; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit); (2) the origins of existence, duration, order, purpose, sacred law, and suffering; and (3) meanings, principles, and values that continue human survival and the accomplishment of authentic humanity despite the condition of mortality, and the operations of sin. In addition to the origin of mankind, eternal purpose and operations of GOD are described highlighting divine dominion that appears through family, government, inheritance, judgment, covenant relationship, redemption, and salvation.

For Christians, Egypt is a symbol of idolatry, lawlessness, occult practices (i.e. sorcery; witchcraft), and spiritual confusion. Egypt became a one-world empire during the period of famine when the nation’s land, livestock, and entire population (except for the Hebrews) became chattel (private property) and slaves to the household of the Pharaoh. Even so, the Hebrews sought to assimilate, blend in, and coexist among the Egyptians. The Egyptians continually displayed bias, ethnic arrogance, and prejudice against the sons of Jacob; and the Hebrews were despised for amassing and gathering livestock (being herders), rather than be merely handlers and users of a few beasts. Later, reproduction among the Hebrews threatened imbalance within the population; and the tribes of Jacob would come under persecution as a threat to the survival of the Egyptian people. GOD would demand release for the descendants of Abraham (the offspring of Jacob) from all financial, political and other obligations to Egypt; and would set them apart (we also say, consecrate; purify; sanctify) the tribes of Jacob through exodus and separation. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

1. Genesis 47: 19-21 King James Version (KJV): 19 Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate. 20 And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh’s. 21 And as for the people, he removed them to cities from one end of the borders of Egypt even to the other end thereof.

2. Exodus 4: 22-23, KJV: 22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn: 23 And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.

3. Galatians 3: 6-9, KJV: 6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

4. Galatians 3: 26-29, KJV: 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 5. John 8: 31-40, KJV: 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 33 They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? 34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. 37 I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. 38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. 39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham. 40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

levite_and_gibeah2

A depiction of the Levite whose concubine was attacked at Gibeah by men from the tribe of Benjamin.

Today, points are shared on topics that include accountability, covenant law, priesthood, reconciliation, and sacrifice within marriage. Divine justice and the sacred process of judgment are ongoing, and do not depend upon human institutions, politics, or secular knowledge among men. Early Israel was not organized as a kingdom, and neither law enforcement nor judgment were administered by a centralized government, or by one who was anointed to be chief and ruler. Their struggle continued to complete driving from the Promised Land the original nations that were in covenant with GOD. The voices of those serving as Levites, priests and deliverers (judges) were often contested. A fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion and Spirituality, who uses the ID “Pat C.” (Level 7 with 49,625 points, a member since December 10, 2011) posted the following:

What’s the moral of the story of the Levite and his concubine? It’s ok to send a girl out to be raped all night then cut her into 12 pieces?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: And it came to pass in those days, when there was no king in Israel, that there was a certain Levite sojourning on the side of mount Ephraim, who took to him a concubine out of Bethlehemjudah. And his concubine played the whore against him, and went away from him unto her father’s house to Bethlehemjudah, and was there four whole months. And her husband arose, and went after her, to speak friendly unto her, and to bring her again, having his servant with him, and a couple of asses: and she brought him into her father’s house to Bethlehem Judah, and was there four whole months. (Judges 19: 1-3, King James Version, KJV)

Pat C.”, here are some points of consideration shared among Christian believers that provide divine correction and proper understanding for the account you refer to from the Book of Judges that resulted in civil war, and the near destruction of a single tribe:

1. The framework of divine law is provided to permit choice guided by consciousness and self-will, rather than appetite, sensation, emotion, and mind. In the language of the holy writings, the hosting of sin within the heart and pursuing the operations of sin appearing as desire are iniquity, lawlessness, and wickedness. It is because of sin that divine instruction and law have been proclaimed for created beings and living creatures.

2. While an entire generation of those from Egypt heard the voice of GOD proclaiming covenant law for their affiliation with divinity and for themselves to continue in association with mankind as a full nation rather than a family or collection of tribes, a single figure (monarch) or mechanism to enforce the sanctions within the law was not established.

3. The pattern for government provided by Moses centered in collective worship with the daily and routine resolution of conflicts and the settlement of disputes being performed through the system of captains and judges over units that increased in size (10s, 20s, 50s, 100s, etc.). Every member within the camp was to respond with self-government displayed as commitment, conscience, faith, and obedience to the law.

4. The pattern for holy matrimony in the Scriptures is that of offering and sacrifice wherein a woman leaves her mother and father; is joined to her husband to be one flesh before GOD through operations performed by the Spirit; comes under the authority and law of her husband; and continues in shared, unselfish commitment.

5. Outrage, transgression and violations of the covenant law were to be published and reported throughout the entire covenant community as admonition, correction, guidance, and rebuke.

6. The wife who left her husband and returned to her father’s house (we say, returned home) is characterized as having “played the whore” (i.e., offered herself as a sex object and romantic partner to men outside the marriage relationship for gifts, goods, favor, payments, etc.).

7. The 27,000 men of Benjamin refused to be held accountable, or take responsibility to investigate and punish the crime that had been committed among themselves; and the tribe determined to withstand the condemnation of the more than 400,000 fighters with the collected elders and spokespersons of the covenant.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, 8. During the course of warfare, the combined tribes pronounced a curse on Benjamin, and swore to never intermarry with that tribe; however, when only 600 men from Benjamin survived the armed conflict, a solution through marriage was chosen to continue their divine inheritance, and repopulate their lands.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Bronze Snake

Today, reply is on the divine use of material devices, and the operations of faith exercised in the use of a bronze serpent on a pole, Nehushtan. In the same way divine law for mankind also imparts the knowledge of sin, Nehushtan, that was fashioned to provide healing and salvation, also exposed and illuminated sin. Included were apostasy, idolatry, and the defilement of both anointed rule (dominion) and consecrated priesthood. That the Scripture accounts address the beginnings of Israel as a nation is not to overshadow the fact that the holy writings provide a record of revelation from GOD that includes multiple divine appearances, as well as sacred events on the earth that are yet to occur. Created beings and living creatures are challenged to apprehend immortal, invisible, incorruptible GOD having been endowed with sacred process, purpose, and spirit substance from the makeup of GOD. Deity appears using flesh and human form (we say, Incarnation); and divine deliverance, judgment, and eternal life are to be discerned as certain, ongoing, and eternal. The fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” Religion and Spirituality public forum who uses the ID “glenda” (Level 1 with 4 points, a member since March 16, 2018) posted the following:

What the meaning of a bronze snake on a pole in the bible. number 21:4,9,?

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him. Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die. The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man? Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them. (John 12: 27-36, King James Version, KJV)

glenda”, when Moses appeared to Pharaoh, GOD used the prophet’s staff to demonstrate divine authority, power, and sacred presence that could not be displayed by the magicians of Egypt. Many Christians believe this staff was a symbol of the Son of GOD who eventually would appear on the earth in human form (we say, Incarnation). When the staff became a serpent and swallowed up the serpents from the magicians this signified that the Savior would appear to destroy the idolatry, occultism, superstitions, and spiritual confusion of Egypt, and of all mankind.

Among Christian believers there are many points of agreement and understanding shared regarding the accounts of Nehushtan (the serpent on the pole) that appear in the Bible. Nehushtan first was used as a material object that would provide a visible focus for the divine operations of faith within those who left Egypt guided by Moses and Aaron. Their deliverance, healing, and transformation to exist as a nation favored by GOD would not be merely on the basis of the 12 tribes accepting divine law they would hear proclaimed by invisible, unseen GOD. Their new life would be on the basis of their faith in his grace, divine prerogative, promises, and sovereign will demonstrated in multiple sacred events that included correction; plagues of fiery serpents; the daily appearance of a pillar of cloud by day, and fire by night; the falling of manna; and being granted divine rest as the Sabbath day. The integrity of GOD in covenant further appears as the recovery of the lost dominion of Adam through fulfillment of the promises to David, that his household would reign as a dynasty. The many errors of Israel among the heathen included continuing the worship of man-made objects (we say, idolatry; the worship of graven images) as they had done in Egypt. In the reign of Rehoboam, son of Solomon, the dynasty of King David was ended by the 10 tribes who became the Northern Kingdom (also called Israel; Samaria) while the 2 remaining tribes became known as Judah. Under Jeroboam as their king, Israel discontinued worship at the temple of Solomon, and would even revive worship of the golden calf from Egypt. The account of Hezekiah also affirms the faithfulness of GOD in covenant.

Consider again the following that uses language from the holy writings:

(1.) Numbers 21: 4-9, King James Version (KJV): 4 And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way. 5 And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. 6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. 7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. 8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. 9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

(2.) 2nd Kings 18: 1-5, KJV: Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign. 2 Twenty and five years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Abi, the daughter of Zachariah. 3 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father did. 4 He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan. 5 He trusted in the LORD God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (3.) 1st Kings 12: 26-31, KJV: 26 And Jeroboam said in his heart, Now shall the kingdom return to the house of David: 27 If this people go up to do sacrifice in the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, then shall the heart of this people turn again unto their lord, even unto Rehoboam king of Judah, and they shall kill me, and go again to Rehoboam king of Judah. 28 Whereupon the king took counsel, and made two calves of gold, and said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. 29 And he set the one in Bethel, and the other put he in Dan. 30 And this thing became a sin: for the people went to worship before the one, even unto Dan. 31 And he made an house of high places, and made priests of the lowest of the people, which were not of the sons of Levi.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

How was it possible for Moses to get lost in the desert for so long, did he have learning difficulties or something?

Surely nobody could be lost for 40 years lol

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward which have murmured against me. Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised. But as for you, your carcases, they shall fall in this wilderness. And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness. After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise. I the LORD have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die. And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land, Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the LORD. But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of the men that went to search the land, lived still. (Numbers 14: 28-38, King James Version, KJV)

STEVAN”, the twelve tribes of Jacob and the mixed multitude that left Egypt following Moses did not become “lost” in the wilderness for 40 years as an accident, as the result of opposition and warfare by desert tribes and nations, or as errors by Moses and other human leaders who served as guides. The period of 40 years (a generation) was used by GOD for divine works that included chastisement, correction, purification, revelation, and sanctification as well as the fulfillment of proclamations, promises, and prophecy. Thus, for 40 years a pillar of cloud appeared by day and a pillar of fire by night as the visible presence of GOD. For 40 years, manna was provided as food Sunday to Friday; and no manna fell on the seventh day, the Sabbath.

Practice of divine law was to become maintained where once idolatry, fitting in, and adopting the fashions and lifestyles of Egypt were widespread. New meaning, standards and values were provided that included making regular offerings and sacrifices to GOD; maintaining decency and order through sacred judgment; and the seeking of counsel from GOD who would indwell the tabernacle. The armies of Israel were created using men most of whom had been laborers, shepherds, and handlers of livestock. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.) Deuteronomy 1: 13-17, King James Version (KJV): 13 Take you wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and I will make them rulers over you. 14 And ye answered me, and said, The thing which thou hast spoken is good for us to do. 15 So I took the chief of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, and captains over fifties, and captains over tens, and officers among your tribes. 16 And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him. 17 Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God’s: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.

(2.) Deuteronomy 1: 22-27, KJV: 22 And ye came near unto me every one of you, and said, We will send men before us, and they shall search us out the land, and bring us word again by what way we must go up, and into what cities we shall come. 23 And the saying pleased me well: and I took twelve men of you, one of a tribe: 24 And they turned and went up into the mountain, and came unto the valley of Eshcol, and searched it out. 25 And they took of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it down unto us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a good land which the LORD our God doth give us. 26 Notwithstanding ye would not go up, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God: 27 And ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.

(3.) Deuteronomy 1: 29-36, KJV: 29 Then I said unto you, Dread not, neither be afraid of them. 30 The Lord your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes; 31 And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the Lord thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place. 32 Yet in this thing ye did not believe the LORD your God, 33 Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day. 34 And the LORD heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and sware, saying, 35 Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers. 36 Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the LORD.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) Deuteronomy 1: 38-40, KJV: 38 But Joshua the son of Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it. 39 Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it. 40 But as for you, turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is on the spiritual meaning and value of keeping the ancient Sabbath laws recorded throughout the Bible.  The fighter using the ID “Violation Nation” (Level 5 with 8,833 points; a member since November 08, 2014) in the “Yahoo! Answers” Religion and Spirituality forum posted the following:

Why can’t atheists admit when God was telling us to stone people who work on the sabbath to death, he only meant in the past?

It was moral then and served His divine plan that doesn’t mean we have to do it today but I gotta admit it really makes me angry to see people working all the same?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:  And by him all that believer are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.  (Acts 13:  38-39, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Did The Prophets Know? (05/23/2018); Sabbath Acknowledges Divine Personhood (05/14/2018); We Establish Covenant Relationship (05/01/2018); Being A Holy Nation (02/20/2018); Sacred Law and Practice (02/12/2018); Conditions Set By Covenant? (09/13/2017); Deeds Of The Law? (09/10/2017)

“Violation Nation”, among the many Christian believers who realize the ancient promises and prophecies provided th
rough Israel are continued through the r
evelation of Jesus Christ, the divine law speaking to the Sabbath is increasingly acknowledged as forward-looking, and a vital tool to correctly prepare men for the Second Coming of Jesus as the King of Glory.  The character and nature of divine fullness (we also say, the GODhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit) is not fully revealed focusing only on punishment and wrath against sin.  Included also must be completeness, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, mercy, personhood, righteousness, and wisdom.  Communication between the Creator and the created requires a peculiar vocabulary that embraces spiritual events and sacred substance.  Aspects of the sacred operations and eternal purposes of GOD may not be communicated without using the clear features of birth, death, existence, resurrection, and the second death.

The sacred requirements for judgment make it that, among believers, accountability and duty extend beyond simple obedience.  The Ten Commandments (we also say, the Covenant) were provided to accomplish more than simply the transformation of twelve tribes and a mixed multitude (Gentiles) from Egypt into a divinely ruled sovereign nation by focusing on specific behaviors and conduct.  The Decalogue continues to clarify and crystallize the perpetual relationship between mankind and divinity that became corrupted through the disobedience of Adam.  Given the law is an expression of sacred intent and divine will, the law is to be embodied within conscience and self-will of the living as divine content and “life essence” (i.e., breath; spirit; word).  Consider the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Exodus 23:  10-12, King James Version (KJV):  10 And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof:  11 But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat:  and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy olive yard.  12 Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest:  that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

(2.)  Isaiah 58:  13-14, KJV:  If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:  14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father:  for the mouth of the Lord Hath spoken it.

(3.)  Matthew 12:  1-8, KJV:  1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat.  2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day. 3 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;  4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?  5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?  6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.  7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.  8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

There is far more to be acknowledged and received as part of ones own spiritual fullness.  (For example (4.)  Luke 14:  1-6,KJV:  1 And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him.  2 And, behold, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy.  3 And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?  4 And they held their peace.  And he took him, and healed him, and let him go;  5 And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?  6 And they could not answer him again to these things.)  Even so, to the rebuke of the Adversary and the furtherance of the faithful in Jesus Christ, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

GOD created the army of Israel led by Joshua having more than 1/2 million men.

Today, reply addresses the revelation of GOD through continued ongoing judgment.   One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” Religion and Spirituality forum using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile data appears) posted the following:

Why did the God of the Bible wage war against the Canaanites?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, Come hither, and hear the words of the LORD your God.  And Joshua said, Hereby ye shall know that the living God is among you, and that he will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Hivites, and the Perizzites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Jebusites.  Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth passeth over before you into Jordan.  (Joshua 3:  9-11, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The First “Chosen” Chosen People (05/03/2018); Being A Holy Nation (02/20/2018); On Recognizing Divine Judgment (01/24/2018); Of War and Judgment (10/08/2013); Heart, Brain or Spirit? (10/09/2013); Moses Killed? (09/23/2013); Salted with Fire? (09/24/2013); What is Worship? (10/18/2010)

“Anonymous”, here are some points that many mature Christian believers are careful to consider:
(1.)  The Creator who uses divine law and judgment to establish mankind and the earth also has used condemnation and widespread destruction to express wrath against sin (e.g., Sodom and the cities of the plains).   Along with displays of awesome authority and power against defiance and rebellion, through such men as Noah, GOD has revealed divinity is forbearing, forgiving, longsuffering, patient, and willing to bestow divine grace.
(2.)  GOD first revealed himself to Moses in a way that indicated his dominion over the natural earth, and used the form of a burning bush whose flaming branches gave off no smoke and left no trace of ashes.  Moses was instructed to acknowledge that he was on ground made holy by the divine presence.  When Moses later asked to physically see the true image of divine fullness (we say, the GODhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit), GOD passed before Moses once the prophet was placed within a cleft of the rock.  Displaying his deeds and the train that followed himself, GOD proclaimed that he is to be known, spoken of, and understood as a GOD of covenant, law, and judgment, who will punish the guilty, yet, will display mercy.
(3.)  The ten plagues brought against Egypt were not mere demonstrations to intimidate the Egyptians, the surrounding nations, or the 12 tribes of Jacob.  While the plagues were unleashed as an aspect of the deliverance of the twelve tribes, they were sacred events performed as judgments against Pharaoh, the Egyptian people, and the gods of Egypt.
(4.) The invasion by Jacob and plagues that accompanied them were fulfilling GOD’s word of promise and prophecy to Abram, that he would judge against the seven tribes of Canaan who were in covenant with GOD, yet, continued to practice idolatry and sin.  GOD would use his son (the tribes of Jacob) and the mixed multitude that left Egypt to remove the seven covenant-breaking tribes.
There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  Deuteronomy 7:  1-8, King James Version (KJV):  1 When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;  2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:  3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.  4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods:  so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.  5 But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.  6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God:  the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.  7 The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:  8 But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
