Today, definitions of “evil”, and the enmity between flesh and spirit are considered.  Created beings and living creatures are required by GOD to express and manage their own measure of life essence (we say, breath, spirit, word).  While sinners take the focus of divine judgment to be discrete episodes, process, and events within the frameworks of time and space, for divinity Judgment concentrates upon the enduring and lasting aspects of ones full makeup and substance from GOD.  A fighter at “Yahoo! What is so evil about the flesh?

I don’t understand why the flesh is so evil?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.  For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  (Romans 8:  1-4, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Need for Incarnation? (09/29/2016); Must GOD Hate Sinners? (09/01/2016); The Flesh An Obstacle? (07/29/2016); Evil Is Not Sin and Wickedness? (12/09/2014); Divine Goodness? (12/10/2014); GOD Permits Evil? (05/12/2014); Why the Gospel for Our Children (05/13/2014)

“Dead Mans Curve”, mature Christian believers use a sacred vocabulary that also defines “evil” as change brought about by men that is arbitrary, destructive, pointless, sudden and unnecessary as well as sacred events that express divine judgment and wrath against sin by using widespread calamity, catastrophe, disaster, and upheaval (we say, condemnation, disfavor, plague, punishment).  GOD, who is spirit in form, nature and substance, is immortal,  immutable, incorruptible, and unchanging.  The Creator puts forth (we say, “creates”) both evil and peace (i.e., the condition of balance, completeness, continuity, rest, stability) for the further revelation of divinity (i.e., making divine authority, sacred law, and the will of GOD knowable and known).  Carnal being (we say, the flesh) operates using process that is material and mechanical, and that may be described as temporal units (e.g., cycles, phases, and stages).   With this in view, evil and wickedness are not the same.  Sin is an immaterial and unseen influence that opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and all divine order from law.  Sin generates and promotes chaos, nonexistence, and returning to the conditions that were in place before Creation was begun.  Sin may be a residue from preexistence, and has not been created by GOD; yet, sin may dominate awareness and self-will in the living.  Ordinarily, the flesh appears as appetite (e.g., hunger, thirst, craving for sexual activity), sensation (e.g., hearing, seeing, tasting, touching) and emotion/mental functions (e.g., anger, fear, imagination, recall, thought).  Like sin, the flesh does not automatically agree and perform according to dictates and principles of divine law.  Until destroyed in death, the flesh opposes and resists the spirit of GOD that resides within the law.  Consider the following points from the holy writings:

(1.)  Isaiah 45:  5-8, King James Version (KJV):  5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me:  I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:  6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.  7 I form the light, and create darkness:  I make peace, and create evil:  I the LORD do all these things.  8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness:  let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.

(2.)  Proverbs 8:  13, KJV:  13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil:  pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

(3.)  Proverbs 24:  19-22, KJV:  19 Fret not thyself because of evil men, neither be thou envious at the wicked:  20 For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out.  21 My son, fear thou the LORD and the king:  and meddle not with them that are given to change:  22 For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, Scripture points are shared on martyrdom, suffering and tragic incidents that occur among Christian believers.  Persecution that was seen by the early church was a sacred device like the confusion of languages at Babel.  Persecution continues today; and often goes unrecognized, because we do not see the dramatic death of believers within an arena filled with wild beasts.  Persecution calls forth the increased spread  of sacred knowledge with discernment of commitment, conviction, and faith.  A young writer at “Yahoo! Getting shot in church? (Charleston, SC massacre)?

So i heard about the Charleston massacre. I don’t understand. They were in church. Praising the lord. The whole situation just seems ironic. You would think a church would have some kind of barrier stopping all evil from happening. I would be lying if I said, as a Christian, I wasn’t having any doubts. I know death is inevitable. And not necessarily a bad thing. But I don’t understand where was the Lord in this situation? I know it could be worse. And I feel really bad that I’m having these doubts. But I don’t understand, can someone explain? Why someonething like this would happen in a church of all places? I’m 14 by the way.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:  old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;  To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.  Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us:  we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.  (2nd Corinthians 5:  17-21, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  Getting GOD To Save? (03/10/2015); No Divine Protection? (10/02/2014); His Authority in Judgment? (10/03/2015); That Mortal Children Die? (12/15/2013); Going It Alone? (12/16/2013); A Slaughter of Innocents (12/15/2012); Signs of Messianic Belief (12/16/2012)

“Chiamaka”, the appearance of divinity upon the earth as Jesus Christ was to change specific aspects of the divine process for all created beings and living creatures (e.g., death, judgment, mortality, reconciliation, salvation).  Many features of the life process can not be altered or removed without total upheaval on a cosmic scale.  Thus, human error, violence, wickedness, and sin have not been eliminated; yet, sacred processes are now being carried out to fully recover, restore, and transform the living who will continue as companions to Deity.  Consider again the following points from the Scriptures:

(1.)  Luke 13:  1-5, King James Version (KJV):  13 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.  2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?  3 I tell you, Nay:  but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.  4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?  5 I tell you, Nay:  but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

(2.)  Matthew 5:  10-12, KJV:  10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake:  for their’s is the kingdom of heaven.  11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.  12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad:  for great is your reward in heaven:  for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

(3.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

(4.)  Mark 10:  28-31, KJV:  28 Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.  29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,  30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.  31 But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually taken into account.  (For example, (5.)  1st Peter 4:  15-17, KJV:  15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.  16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.  17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God:  and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

The errors when attributing evil to GOD are again in view.  A fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Cesaris” (Level 1 with 78 points, a member since August 19, 2014) posted the following:

God is Evil?

I form the light and also create evil, I make success and also create disasters; I- God do all these things.” Isaiah 45:7

Anyone or anything that creates evil and disasters – is EVIL!!!

So why call the “Christian God” good?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest:  for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.  But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.  And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?  4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?  5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;  6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:  7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:  8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,  9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;  10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  GOD Permits Evil? (05/12/2014); Why the Gospel for Our Children (05/13/2014); Thanking and Blaming GOD (12/25/2013); A Curse Removed (12/26/2013); Evil is not Sin? (09/22/2013); Moses Killed? (09/23/2013)

“Cesaris”, you appear to have quoted a Scripture using human language that serves as part of the revelation from GOD defining the authority and power of divinity without also correctly attributing godly motives and righteousness to Deity.  Beginners always make that mistake (relying upon their intellect and the flesh) to give them correct understanding of things that totally consist of Spirit; and it does require “growing up” after being “born again.”  Here are a few points that might help you avoid further spiritual confusion:

(1.)   As a sacred operation performed by GOD, “evil” is sudden and widespread change or upheaval caused to effect divine purposes.  Examples include the 10 plagues against Egypt to demonstrate final judgment.  As an operation of created beings and living creatures “evil” is calamity, catastrophe, and disaster as well as arbitrary, pointless, and unwelcome change.

(2.)  The goodness, makeup, and substance of GOD are intrinsic and inherent.  The nature and quality of GOD are not determined by opinions, rankings and ratings that come from living creatures and created beings.  GOD is only known through ones own endowment of inseparable spirit matter such as faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, longsuffering, love, truth, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (3.)  “Sin” is the transgression of divine law (the expressed will of GOD); and any religious observance performed because of ambition, fear, greed, etc. and not as a matter of faith is sin.  “Wickedness” describes the character and tenor of attitudes, behavior and conduct, like defilement, filthiness, profanity and uncleanness.  In the same way, GOD creates no abomination, GOD has not created sin or wickedness.)  I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
