Today, the reply is on the holiness and virginity of Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ. Ordinarily, a woman loses her virginity, and sheds her blood of innocence during her first sexual intercourse when her hymen (i.e., a small piece of flesh within her vagina that serves as a seal upon her womb) is broken by the penetration of a male penis. The hymen of the mother of Jesus Christ was broken at his birth, and his coming was by water and the blood. The importance of Mary is not due to her own merit, divine nature, and sacred accomplishments, rather, it is because she has been an instrument for fulfillment of sacred prophecy, divine promises, eternal purpose, and the revelation of Jesus Christ. A we ourselves also are to be, Mary appears as a vessel to contain spirit substance imparted from the makeup of GOD, and to whom sin is no longer imputed. A fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” public forum on Religion and Spirituality who uses the ID “Nathan H” (Level 3 with 1,856 points, a member since April 17, 2008) posted the following:

Nathan H”, many mature Christians acknowledge that, in the same way Mary, who gave birth to their Savior Jesus Christ, experienced having gender as a human female, she also experienced human sexuality as a female with the birth of her other children. Even so, these same believers understand that her virginity was, and continues to be, a spiritual condition established through operations of the same Holy Spirit that performed to create heaven and earth. Inseparable aspects from the makeup of divinity appear that include faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, meekness, purity, and simplicty.

Mary is important to Christian belief as an instrument of GOD for the full revelation of divinity. The birth of Jesus was not through human reproduction and sexuality: Jesus was made to be and exist within Mary by operations of the Holy Spirit. Believers are to see the workings of divine authority, love, eternal purpose, and the sovereign will of GOD. The embodiment (we say, Incarnation) of divinity appearing as Jesus Christ, and using the human forms of flesh and mind, required both the birth and death of Jesus to establish his humanity as authentic. Similarly, the humanity of Mary is shown to be genuine, and displays the full range of human challenges, needs, and possibilities that include humility and covenant relationship with GOD.

There is no report in the holy writings, that Mary was baptized as Jesus was by John the Baptist. Even so, after fasting and prayer in the Upper Room, Mary received the gifts of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost along with the apostles of Jesus. She served as one of the witnesses to his crucifixion, and to his resurrection. To those of the early church, Mary was an evidence of things unseen, and a “foretaste” of things to come.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, because the character, makeup and substance of GOD are the actual focus, many Christians are comfortable with the Scriptures and teachings concerning Mary that can only be embraced correctly through operations of faith and of the Holy Spirit. Included are the ascension of Mary, the coronation of Mary as Queen of Heaven, the acknowledgment of sacred mysteries from the lives of Jesus and Mary using the Rosary prayers, and the sanctification of Mary as a perpetual virgin.) Today, points are shared on the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah, current advocacy of LGBT issues, and end time prophecy.  The issues of divine judgment are more likely to acknowledge divine substance manifest through Jesus Christ, the presence of sacred content shown within the deeds of the living, and the quality of each person’s sacred commitment, than dwell upon the details and mechanics of emotionally charged behavior expressing sexual preferences, or strivings for political freedom and social acceptance.  One of the many fighters at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:


Are we living in the days of sodom and gamora?

due to the legalization of same-sex marriage? and due to our schools teaching our children that homosexuality is normal and acceptable? and all the movies and television shows trying to convince us that homosexuality is the proper way to live? the bible’s book of deutoromney talks about how god destroyed the cities of sodom and gamora for practicing homosexuality. is god about to do the same once again to our decadent modern world? are these the end times?

“Anonymous”, born again Christians who have not yet “grown up again” often embrace commonly held ideas existing outside of the faith that seem biblical and religious, that are not part of the Gospel, and that may not be found written in the Bible.  Being still focused upon issues that are carnal, emotional, material, psychological and social, these believers even may cling to such errors as (1) “original sin” means sex; (2) “fornication” (i.e., defilement of ones spirit through sexual joining) means having sex before marriage, too often, or with too many partners (i.e., promiscuity); and (3) avoiding premarital sex is about maintaining purity and virginity, rather than becoming correctly mature to independently be accountable for ones own sexual behavior and its consequences (e.g., controlling the time and place; disease; family planning and pregnancy; “paying the cost to be the boss”).  The prophecies that describe the woeful state of mankind upon the earth just prior to the appearing (we also say, the Advent, the Rapture, the Second Coming) of Jesus go beyond sexual excess and deviant behavior.  The ongoing examination of mankind and the tribunal the wicked must face as final judgment both center upon the evidence of spirit substance from the makeup of GOD recorded in the Books of Life.  Neither Christ nor Satan will serve as “accuser”; the convicted will have been “betrayed” by accounts of their own deeds.  Consider again how these ideas are stated using language from the Bible:

(1.)  Ezekiel 16:  49-50, King James Version (KJV):  49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.  50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me:  therefore I took them away as I saw good.

(2.)   2nd Timothy 3:  1-5, KJV:  1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,  3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,  4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;  5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:  from such turn away.

(3.)  1st Corinthians 6:  9-11, KJV:  9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived:  neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,  10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.  11 And such were some of you:  but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Answers” using the ID “Epicurean Atheist” (a member since March 15, 2015, Level 5 with 7,174 points) posted the following question displaying common error and spiritual confusion:

Do Christians ever pause to really consider that they believe god impregnated his own mother with himself- how does that make sense?

“Epicurean Atheist”, every Christian believer begins with a set of ideas and understandings that only are acceptable for speaking and thinking with ones own flesh as an anchor for their reality.  Our behavior, conduct and thought may be dominated by appetite (e.g., hunger, thirst, cravings for sexual activity), sense (e.g., hearing, tasting, touching), and emotion/mental functions (e.g., anger, desire, fear, imagination, recall).  To become mature believers, however, all must be altered, and made able to recognize the active presence and operation of divinity.  Consider the following:

(1.)  Sacred operations carried out and performed by GOD do not exist for those lacking awareness that responds to Deity (i.e., discernment—ability to apply the spirit substance within ones own makeup as a standard to recognize and respond to spirit content within events, other persons, the holy writings, etc.).  Included are such features among believers as faith, forgiveness, holiness, hope, joy, longsuffering, immortality, incorruption, purity, righteousness, and virginity.

(2.)  Of course men are confused, made to feel intellectually inadequate, sexually immature, and threatened psychologically when they can not grasp the exalted process whereby cosmic forces and life essence are applied to establish a visible image for the spirit that is the origin of all that exists, and himself continues beyond the frames of time and space.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  (For example, (3.)  It is our wisdom as Christians that we turn to GOD for sacred knowledge.  Doing so, we are granted the record of Scripture that provides a divine point of view, so to speak:  the actions of divinity in heaven and earth through thousands of lives, over the course of thousands of years.  More than this, believers become born again having an imparted, indwelling spirit from the makeup of Deity.  Were these “simple things” and plain truths that do not challenge us, they could be no indication of a GOD who is sovereign over all that was, is, and ever shall be.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
