Today, a reply is made on whether men on the earth are to take pride in being children of GOD. To be an offspring of GOD, one must contain consecrated substance that has been imparted from the makeup of divine fullness (i.e., divinity; the Godhead; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit). For many, being set apart by their sacred content in order to serve divinity only means that you are blessed, favored, and gifted so that you excel and surpass others. However, rightly understood, sanctification is an aspect of the often difficult and painful transformation sinners must undergo from being offered as a living sacrifice to existing as immortal, incorruptible, perfected companions to GOD. It is written: Isaiah 11: 1-3, King James Version (KJV): 1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; 3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: A fighter in the “Yahoo! Is it against the Bible to take pride in being a child of God?

Bonus question: Can a person call themselves a “soldier of God”, I want to call myself that now instead of some dude from a DBZ movie.

THE GOLDEN ARROW: Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (1st John 3: 2, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER: Always Connected By Spirit (08/30/2020); The Sons Of GOD? (07/19/2020); Acknowledging And Confessing Sin (06/21/2020); “GOD, I Thank Thee…” (03/16/2020); Acknowledging Christ as Son (03/08/2020); Christian Teachings About Devils (08/21/2019); What Is A Spirit? (03/06/2018)

“Broly”, because they have exaggerated pride many covet the authority, dominion, and power of divinity. While acknowledging and affirming that mankind is to bear the image of GOD, and should display substance and value established by the Creator, created beings and living creatures are to manifest the same humility that exists as an inseparable aspect of divine fullness (we say, divinity; the Godhead; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit). All who live are not accounted as the children of GOD, for the offspring of divinity must display the character, makeup, and nature of GOD (we say, divine DNA), and should resemble, reflect, and reveal the character and likeness of Jesus Christ. Within the new creation there has to be a fresh endowment of spirit imparted from the makeup of GOD. While living on the earth, men are to begin eternal life having balance, commitment, faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, wisdom, and wrath against sin; while living in the earth made new, men are to receive immortality, incorruption, perfection, and righteousness. The inheritance and life-process for man that is received through the first pair (Adam) include conditions, limitations, and restrictions such as appetite, mortality, finite self-will (willpower), and an inclination to respond to the operations of sin. GOD is exalted as the origin and source for all that has existence and life; and sin is no thing created or put forth by divinity. Where the living will exist as companions to GOD they must undergo divine operations to continually express sacred law, divine prerogative, eternal purpose, and the sovereign will of GOD. Sinners must become “born again” through operations of the Creator, and those who become reborn must also grow-up again and become mature/ripe for harvest from the earth by the Lord at his coming. Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible and Peace, a selection from the music ministry of Steve Amerson:

(1.) 2nd Kings 1: 9-15, King James Version (KJV): 9 Then the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him: and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill. And he spake unto him, Thou man of God, the king hath said, Come down. 10 And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty. 11 Again also he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said unto him, O man of God, thus hath the king said, Come down quickly. 12 And Elijah answered and said unto them, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty. 13 And he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight. 14 Behold, there came fire down from heaven, and burnt up the two captains of the former fifties with their fifties: therefore let my life now be precious in thy sight. 15 And the angel of the LORD said unto Elijah, Go down with him: be not afraid of him. And he arose, and went down with him unto the king.

(2.) Luke 9: 51-56, KJV: 51 And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem, 52 And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him. 53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem. 54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? 55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. 56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

(3.) Luke 10: 16-24, KJV: 16 He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me. 17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. 18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. 19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. 21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. 22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him. 23 And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see: 24 For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3o4y8zHWYnw.) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, Christian believers are described as soldiers in the army of the Lord who all come under review, temptation, and testing.  Throughout the Bible, the holy names of GOD indicate there is divine authority over the armies of heaven.  Included are “a man of war,” Faithful and True, God of hosts, the captain of the Lord’s host, the LORD God of hosts, and the Word of God.  The eternal purpose of judgment is not punishment, rather, it is the harvesting of those who are fit and mature (we say, ripe) enough to serve as immortal, incorruptible companions to divinity.  Divine content will reside in every believer as the Spirit of Prophecy (we also say, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth) and should appear as attention to detail, diligence, enthusiasm, fervor, industriousness, intensity, meekness, thoroughness, vigilance, willingness to obey, and zeal that can be recognized through exhortation, praise, and prayer.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! Why would God punish someone who simply wants nothing to do with Him despite the fact they never killed or hurt anyone?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;  (Ephesians 6:  10-17, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, all Christian believers are to understand that they have been recruited (many say, called) to serve divinity in numerous ways.  In addition to being the Creator, Deity has been revealed as a “god” of Deliverance, Judgment, Love, Reconciliation, and Salvation.  The living are to accept permanent changes in their makeup, and operate on the basis of an imparted, indwelling “spirit” received through rebirth during water baptism (i,e., death and burial of ones inborn spirit).  Believers continually are to display “the image of GOD” put forth by inseparable aspects from the makeup of Deity.  Included are faith, holiness, lovingkindness, righteousness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  The following points become important to consider:

(1.)  “Innocence” must be defined by GOD.  GOD is to be acknowledged as the single owner, protector, and sovereign ruler over all that exists.  Thus, Exodus 20:  3-6, King James Version (KJV):  3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.  4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.  5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them:  for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;  6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

(2.)  Sinners are to be in a relationship expressing discipline, sacred knowledge, and specific skills.  As those “born again,” believers must prepare for and pass a final inspection, so to speak (i.e., we say, “final judgment”) that goes beyond the completeness and correctness of their appearance and the “uniform” they’ve been issued.  Included may be attitudes, behavior, diet and foods, productivity (we say, their fruits), and zeal.  Deuteronomy 14:  1-3, KJV:  1 Ye are the children of the LORD your God:  ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.  2 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.  3 Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.

(3.)  Commitment to things “secular”, denying GOD, forgetting, ignoring, neglecting, and omitting all have the same outcomes, and so are given marks similar to those for “iniquity” (i.e., deliberate and repeated defiance, rebellion, and stubbornness).  Thus, 2nd Timothy 2:  3-4, KJV:  3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.  4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

Of course, there is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Scales for measuring enthusiasm, patient endurance (we say, longsuffering) and the genuine sacred value of “good works” will be used.  Thus, Isaiah 59:  12-19, KJV:  12 For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us:  for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;  13 In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.  14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off:  for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.  15 Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey:  and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.  16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor:  therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.  17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.  18 According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.  19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Scripture points on the meaning of a purple cloth draped upon the cross are shared, today.  Divinity appeared incarnate (we say, in flesh, having a mortal body) upon the cross to fulfill prophecy, and promises that GOD would judge and rule over his people chosen from among mankind.  Their transformation to become life companions with divinity (we say, eternal life) has begun through rebirth, and ongoing operations of the Holy Spirit that will be completed as believers are taken up to meet the Savior in the air when Christ appears to reap his harvest from the earth.  Every earthly kingdom grounded in finite and material existence continues to respond to the divine monarchy of Jesus as did Rome, the one-world empire of its day.  Consider again the following Bible verses, and the presentation below:

Psalms 45:  3-7, King James Version (KJV):  3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.  4 And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.  5 Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.  6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever:  the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.  7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness:  therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

John 6:  11-15, KJV:  11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.  12 When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.  13 Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.  14 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.  15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.

Matthew 27:  27-31, KJV:  27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.  28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.  29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand:  and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!  30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.  31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

Revelation 19:  11-16, KJV:  11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.  12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.  13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:  and his name is called The Word of God.  14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.  15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations:  and he shall rule them with a rod of iron:  and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.  16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

What does the purple cloth on the cross mean?

Every year around Good Friday and Easter I notice purple cloth draped on crosses outside of churches. What is the significance of the cloth and also the purple. I know that around Easter churches sometime perform passion plays. Does the purple denote “passion” or something else? Only genuine, knowledgeable replies, Please.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.  This title then read many of the Jews:  for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city:  and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.  Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.  Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.  Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat:  now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.  They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be:  that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.
(John 19:  19-24, KJV)

“Sunny1121”, through operations of the Holy Spirit, blood and truth from the cross are flowing despite time and space to here and now.  Many mature Christian believers accept the cross draped in purple as a further proclamation that, by his crucifixion and resurrection, Jesus is exalted to be ruler over an “everlasting kingdom” from GOD revealed in prophecy through King David, and uncovered to comfort Daniel while Israel was removed from the Promised Land by the Babylonians.  (Prophecy of the kingdom was begun in Moses, where Christ is called “Shiloh” (Peace), and would be carried forward because GOD himself would become acknowledged as Israel’s true king.)  The Lord’s earthly ministry was not intended to see him installed as monarch over Israel in the place of King Herod, who served as a “figure-head” and tool for the government of Rome.  The credentials and genealogy of Jesus also identified the Savior as the lawful heir and Son of David.  That Roman soldiers gambled for his priestly garment while he hung upon the cross is to depict the lowliness of mankind before the Father in heaven.  The divine covering lost by Adam in Eden can only be restored through the operations of GOD that also require atonement and rebirth to establish a covering for sins.  Consider how this is stated in the language of the holy writings:

(1.)  Genesis 49:  10, King James Version (KJV):  10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

(2.)  Psalms 145:  10-13, KJV:  10 All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.  11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;  12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.  13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.

(3.)  1st Chronicles 29:  10-13, KJV:  10 Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation:  and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.  11 Thine, O LORD is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty:  for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.  12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.  13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

(4.)  Daniel 7:  13-14, KJV:  13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.  14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him:  his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

There is far more to be said, understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.) John 18:  36-38, KJV:  36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world:  if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews:   but now is my kingdom not from hence.  37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.  38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Scripture points are shared, today, on preaching about the End Times, rather than the birth, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus.  Many Christian believers are conservative, and feel strongly that their congregations should promote only the message of repentance and salvation.  Others, who seek to advance what is called “the full Gospel,” also teach and share prophecies of the last days before the coming of Jesus to harvest his followers from the earth.  The word of GOD is to comfort, edify, and exhort those reborn through baptism; and is imparted (we say, revealed) to anchor the church in hope (i.e., specific godly expectations).  The fighter at “Yahoo! Answers” using the ID “Bucky Daniels” (Level 2 with 799 points, a member since September 03, 2010) posted the following:

Do you believe any of those preachers like John Hagee who talk about the end of the world? Is it possible he does not know his Bible?

In the words of Jesus, (supposedly the person that Hagee and others hold as their religious leader):
“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.”

This quote is from the New American Standard Bible.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:  Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,  And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.  For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:  Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:  But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.  But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.  (2nd Peter 3:  2-10, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Imminent Return of Christ? (07/19/2015); Mankind Destroyed? (01/24/2014); The Endtime and Fear? (01/14/2015); What Salvation Is (01/25/2014); World Without End? “Bucky Daniels”, for mature Christian believers, the issues are not “if” or “when” there will be a final judgment and destruction of sin; all are to proceed on the basis of “soon”.  The focus is to be more upon the “what” that shall be visible as the appearing and coming of GOD.  Earlier, prophesies were shown to be authentic (truly from GOD) when they were followed by sacred events (we say, miracles, signs, wonders).  The resurrection of Jesus Christ following his crucifixion is received by many as the “final sign.”  To correctly understand the sacred events and operations of divinity, created beings and living creatures must open their hearts and minds to receive divine revelation; and they must allow their spirit content to be permanently altered to include substance from the makeup of Deity.  In addition to divine law and sacred knowledge, inseparable aspects of GOD must be acquired such as faith, holiness, longsuffering, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  As reported through the holy writings, the process of GOD for those upon the earth includes cleansing (e.g., atonement, baptism, purification by fire), government, judgment (i.e., the resolution of conflict and the settlement of disputes by applying sacred law), redemption and sealing as well as the fulfillment of things proclaimed, promised and prophesied.  Consider again the following Scriptures from the King James Version (KJV):

(1.)  Revelation 1:  1-3, KJV:  1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:  2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.  3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein:  for the time is at hand.

(2.)  Isaiah 65:  8-12, KJV:  8 Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it:  so will I do for my servants’ sakes, that I may not destroy them all.  9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains:  and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.  10 And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.  11 But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.  12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter:  because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.

(3.)  Isaiah 65:  13-17, KJV:  13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry:  behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty:  behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:  14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.  15 And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen:    for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:  16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.  17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth:  and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

(4.)  2nd Timothy 4:  1-4, KJV:  1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;  2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.  3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

(5.)  2nd Timothy 2:  3-5, KJV:  3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.  4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.  5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

(6.)  Romans 15:  4-7, KJV:  4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.  5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:  6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

There is much more that could be said, and that must be correctly understood and spiritually taken into account.  (For example, (7.)  Revelation 21:  1-3, KJV:  21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:  for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.  2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.  3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.)  Even so, I trust this collection of verses will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, some points are shared on divine judgment, recent atrocities committed by ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria), and the teachings of Jesus Christ.  Condemnation, outrage and punishment are uppermost on the minds of many.  However, the acts as well as the sins of those operating as terrorists are little different from those operating as soldiers.  The differences pertain to the acknowledgment of universal law.  Those in the armed forces must maintain a peculiar understanding of their own role, their own accountability as well as that for their military units and the nations they defend.  As was seen with drug cartels in Mexico that threatened to end lawful government to continue carrying out trafficking, ISIS threatens to destroy existing lawful governments not simply the police, the army, and law enforcement.  While their executioners hide beneath a mask, their faces are clearly seen before GOD.  A “Yahoo! So they burned alive a Jordanian pilot in a cage …..Are you enraged and want blood because you are Muslim or christian or human being ?

Update : Reporting an MISOA question doe snot help…cheers!!!

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.  And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?  I tell you, Nay:  but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.  Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?  I tell you, Nay:  but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.  He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.  Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none:  cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?  And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:  And if it bear fruit, well:  and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.  (Luke 13:  1-9, KJV)

“Man In Search of An”, here are a few points that permit mature Christian believers to maintain their inner peace in the face of such atrocities:

(1.)  Many thought leaders and men of faith around the world feel that the very deed of burning a man alive in a cage cries out for final judgment and absolute destruction of those who have carried it out.  Yet, the high crime against all living that, in fact, must come into view is presumption by a group of men who have exalted themselves as agents of GOD having authority to execute the wrath of divinity against sin.  Thereby, the Deity has been accused, blasphemed (i.e., his word rejected as false and unrighteous), denied, and misrepresented.

(2.)  Christians are instructed through the holy writings to understand that the course of human affairs will increasingly be shrouded in darkness resulting from operations of sin.  Sin has not been created by GOD, has no spirit content from the makeup of divinity, yet, sin has direction, effect, and presence.  Sin opposes the continued existence of divine law, the Law Giver, and the divine order maintained by sacred law.  Sin may dominate human awareness and self-will to the point that sin appears a natural, normal aspect of oneself.  Sin can not be eliminated or removed using such finite tools as complaining, emotion, intellect, logic, mathematics, philosophy, and science.

(3.)  The prayer to GOD for intercession and justice is always a cry for judgment, for the Deity who revealed himself to Moses, and has appeared upon the earth incarnate as Jesus Christ, assigns meaning, purpose, and value (we say, is a god of Judgment).  Judgment is an immutable, permanent and unchanging aspect of divinity as are such sacred content as faith, forbearance, forgiveness, holiness, jealousy, longsuffering, love, mercy, truth, wisdom, and wrath against sin.

There is far more to be said, correctly understood, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  When Jesus was asked about two shocking tragedies that had recently occurred (the death of 18 persons from a tower falling in Siloam; and a slaughter by the Romans of Galileans as they were offering sacrifice and worshiping) the Savior did not condemn anyone.  He pointed out that those who die encountering human circumstances of injustice, misfortune, oppression, persecution and death are not automatically to be seen as greater sinners than others who escaped or got away.  Instead, the Lord cautioned them (as well as us today) that, through the operations of GOD to restore the balance destroyed by sin, there is a continuous and ongoing process of divine judgment; and:  Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to the measure of your faith.

Old Testament law, recognizing divine mercies, and slavery are topics, today.  Also there is more on GOD’s blessing of the nations.  A “Yahoo! Answers” writer using the ID “Speculum” (Level 3 with 1,009 points, a member since January 20, 2010) posted the following:

Christians what was the reason for this particular Old Testament rule made by God?

What purpose did this serve?:

Exodus 21:20 “Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, 21 but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property.

Why would God allow people to beat their already unlucky person severely , and only be punished if the slave dies? Why did he allow slavery anyway? , it refers to people as property…(see above verse)

Additional Details

@ naughtyd Isn’t it the same God? Didn’t those laws have consequences for the person that was a slave? I don’t understand , i get it that it was an old law , but it still circulated alot of time affecting people severely. Are you that dismissful of immoral laws just because it was * old * ?

THE BATTLE AXE:  God Bless America? (09/11/2013)—(6.)  To say that GOD only blesses America is untrue; and should be recognized for what it is, the sinful charge that GOD is unfit to rule or preside in judgment due to bias, favoritism and partiality.  The arrogance of those who deny GOD authority and privilege to bless the nations according to a divine plan for the universe that they themselves may not alter is already condemned and judged as blasphemy, rebellion, slander, and ungodliness.  America-bashing, and making exaggerated claims against other nations are a form of immaturity, amateurish politics, and fraudulent self-promotion.  Rightly understood, the gifts, prosperity and strength seen with America, Israel, Jordan or even India, Iraq and Pakistan, have come through hard work and industry, the careful outlay of resources, and the application of genuine wisdom.  Even so, what these nations have reaped as their harvest may also be discerned as evidence of divine favor, knowledge of sacred truth, and the active presence of GOD.  See Psalms 67:  1-7, Proverbs 14:  33-35 and Acts 10:  34-35, King James Version.  (7.)  Duty to uphold the law may not be arbitrarily dismissed and laid aside.  Through international law, the obligation of America now is to all humanity, not simply those within our own boundaries, to ones family, friends, neighbors, oneself, and ones close associates.  The operational aspects of love, divine judgment, and sacred righteousness are to be discharged including balance, courage, decisiveness, fairness, impartiality, mercy, objectivity, open-mindedness, thoroughness, truth, and wisdom.  (8.)  While it is the duty and privilege of all Christian believers to be in communion with GOD through praise and prayer, there are many who are specially anointed to serve the church as unseen prayer warriors, and spirit soldiers.  Generally, such believers are humble, meek, and unassuming.  It is their distinctive gift to make effectual, fervent prayers and supplication.  Unlike those who serve by pastoral counseling, pulpit preaching or sacred instruction, these peculiar ministers prefer to be inconspicuous, and may be thought of as “the salt of the earth,” who blend in and flavor all things.  These believers direct their speaking and spiritual activity to GOD, rather than to others of the congregation.  Like military chaplains, their most necessary service often is to the wounded and occurs upon the battlefield.  See Matthew 6:  1-21 and Luke 11:  1-13, KJV.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!  for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith:  these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.   Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.  (Matthew 23:  26-31, King James Version)

Speculum, here are a few points I may share that many Christian believers acquire through the sacred disciplines of careful prayer, and study of the holy writings.  See with new eyes, and take up a divine point of view:

(1.)  The covenant law from GOD that was to transform carnal, material and social realities, also was to reveal the nature of divine person, and cement a new spiritual relationship with the Almighty.  The Creator GOD who had fashioned the armies of Israel did not establish law to oversee conquest and the seizing of territories so much as for a full mechanism that would make divinity visible and understood as a “god of judgment.”

(2.)  The economy of Israel was created by GOD.  Provisions were made so that those of the covenant nation would no longer suffer as loosely connected family members, and opposing tribes that were living as nomads.  Divine regulations were instituted to establish distribution and stable patterns of ownership for real property (i.e., land) including provisions for restoration of property sold or under lien (see Jubilee).

(3.)  There were laws to comfort, encourage and nourish those in poverty that also addressed using fellow covenant members as employees and workers.

There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually understood.  For example, (4.)  Those who oppose divine law, and sacred judgment, are under the influence of sin.  Sin is no material or spirit thing, yet, sin may dominate awareness and self-will in created beings and living creatures.  Sin opposes the existence of GOD and all that GOD has created.  Because of sin, what developing believers (and those outraged persons who reject Bible truth, mock, and want to find a justification for condemning GOD) read into the Scripture as a divine approval of slavery, faith reveals to be the balance, mercy, and righteousness of judgment.  Only those who were already under a divine sentence of death after breaking covenant with GOD, became captives or slaves, and were permitted to live despite the command to utterly destroy them.  Spiritually speaking, these were redeemed, and made to be living sacrifices.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
