In the Name

Today, reply is on the integrity and soundness of divinity that must be revealed to the living in order that Deity be understood as more than an abstraction, a mental construct, and a product of human imagination.  Every aspect of the divine fullness must display completeness and wholeness.  The holy writings proclaim the honor and integrity for the multiple persons of divinity using memorable and strong language:  Deuteronomy 7:  9, King James Version (KJV):  9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; also, Numbers 23:  19, KJV:  19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent:  hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?  Isaiah 42:  8, KJV:  8 I am the LORD:  that is my name:  and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.  John 17:  24, KJV:  24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me:  for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.  While there are infinite possibilities for expression by divinity all are not “expedient” as organic process and operations that join created beings and living creatures to the divine origin, works, and source of existence.  Secular knowledge, religious doctrines, intelligence, carnal reason, and self-will (willpower) of themselves do not establish consecrated consciousness, duration, and life.  Breath from the Creator (we also say, life essence; spirit; word) was imparted to a lifeless form to make the first man, Adam, a “living soul;” and those who would have life as part of the new creation through the ministry of Jesus Christ must receive a fresh endowment of sprit substance from the makeup of divinity.  A fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” Religion and Spirituality forum who uses the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information appears) posted the following:

If Jesus is God why did he say he didn’t know the day of the end only the father did in Mark 13:32?

New International Version
“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:  To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:  And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.  For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.  When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?  And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:  and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.  And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.  And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;  Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.  (Acts 1:  2-11, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, for Christian believers, the appearance of Jesus Christ on the earth is to be acknowledged as the most complete revelation of the Godhead that now may be apprehended by created beings and living creatures.  The character, makeup, and process of both human existence and life require that, for divine fullness (we say, the Godhead; the Trinity; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit) to be knowable, approachable, and capable of communicating and participating in continuing relationship, divinity must appear and be revealed to the living as active presence who displays sacred attributes (e.g., immortality, incorruptibility, purity, righteousness), eternal purpose, form, personhood, and sovereign will.  Incarnation is sufficient to establish multiple streams of sacred truth, yet, can not remove all the unspeakable enigma and mystery that pertain to godliness.  Where you will continue to seek GOD through praise, prayer, regular study of the holy writings, and unselfish service the following points should be helpful for avoiding spiritual confusion:

(1.)   The integrity of Jesus Christ as a human being on the earth accountable for obedience to divine law, requires that he be born of a woman, that he develop through the patterns of aging and growth, that he become adult through such operations as discovery, intuition, trial-and-error, and risk-taking, and that he complete mortality (die).

(2.)  The integrity of the Deity as Almighty GOD and the  Father who will always remain unseen requires that His divine heart, mind, and will be manifest through ongoing events, sacred events (we say, miracles), binding law, prophecy (the use of agents and spokespersons) as well as the fulfillment of covenants, promises, and eternal purposes (e.g., judgment, reconciliation, redemption, salvation, the second death).

(3.)  The integrity of the Holy Spirit as autonomous and having independence requires his appearance and operation through the living as gifts, fruits (we also say, effects; manifestations; outcomes).

(4.)  The integrity of the divine fullness requires their appearance as co-eternal having oneness without sameness, and accomplishing specific divine purposes through their being in accord and joined.  There must be the use of distinctive names and titles by created beings and living creatures that provide guidance for access, exchange, and interaction.  Thus, Creator, Savior, Most High, Everlasting Father, the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth all are indicative of specific resources and aspects of sacred knowledge that must be applied, invoked, and relied upon in heaven and on the earth.  Consider again the following that uses language form the Bible:

(a.)  Deuteronomy 29:  29, King James Version (KJV):  29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God:  but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

(b.)  Proverbs 20:  11, KJV:  11 Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.

(c.)  Colossians 1:  12-20, KJV:  12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:  13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:  14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:  15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:  16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:  all things were created by him, and for him:  17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.  18 And he is the head of the body, the church:  who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.  19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;  20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (d.)  John 14:   8-11, KJV:  8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.  9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?  10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself:  but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.  11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me:  or else believe me for the very works’ sake.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Elijah

A depiction of the Prophets Elijah and Elisha
separated by the chariot of fire.

Today, reply is on the ministry of John the Baptist as prophet, his anointing received as inheritance, and his greatness as a sacred vessel containing spirit matter from the makeup of divinity.  Anointing, in-filling, and endowment with the inseparable aspects of imparted, indwelling Spirit are required to serve in the office of Prophet, rather than repentance and water baptism.  In addition to witnessing to the consecration and divine anointing of Jesus Christ as High Priest and Messiah, John demonstrated the renewal of divine prophecy as a sacred device from GOD to benefit mankind.  The writer in the  “Yahoo! Answers” forum using the ID “GRANNY NORINE” (Level 1 with 213 points, a member since May 16, 2014) posted the following in the Religion and Spirituality section:

Why did Jesus speak Matthew 11:11 and John wasn’t water baptized?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:  And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.  (Malachi 4:  5-6, King James Version, KJV)

“GRANNY NORINE”, here are some points that may help you and your readers discover a more complete Christian consciousness regarding John the Baptist:

(1.)  The leadership of both Israel and Judah (the Northern and Southern kingdoms) were denied the gifts among them of prophecy from GOD for a period of more than 400 years, with Malachi being the last of the line of divine spokespersons after the form of Moses.

(2.)  John the Baptist was born for the eternal purpose of reestablishing and restoring authority, legitimacy, and power to the ministry of divine prophecy (we say, the law and the prophets), and not simply to serve as a herald to the dominion of Jesus Christ as Messiah.

(3.)  The conception and birth of John the Baptist were sacred events (we say, miracles); and John was filled with the indwelling Spirit of GOD (we say, the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth) while still in his mother’s womb.

(4.)  John’s mother Elizabeth, who had been barren, was of the line of Aaron, and his father served in the Temple at Jerusalem as a priest.  John left the temple (holy ground) serving as an itinerant preacher (evangelist) in the nomadic tradition of Abraham.  John the Baptist himself did not heal, perform exorcism, or provide miracles.

(5.)  John is believed to have appeared as the promised sign from GOD (the appearance of Elijah the Tishbite) that would precede the advent of the Messiah.  Elijah, raised the dead, and himself was taken up into heaven by a chariot of fire and did not see death.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(a)  Luke 1:  67-79, King James Version (KJV):  67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,  68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,  69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;  70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:  71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;  72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;  73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,  74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,  75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.  76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;  77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,  78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,  79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

(b)  John 1:  19-34, KJV:  19 And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?  20 And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.  21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.  22 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?  23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.  24 And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.  25 And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?  26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water:  but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;  27 He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to unloose.  28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.  29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.  30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me:  for he was before me.  31 And I knew him not:  but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.  32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.  33 And I knew him not:  but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.  34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

(c)  Matthew 11:  13-19, KJV:  13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.  14 And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.  15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.  16 But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,  17 And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.  18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.  19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (d) John 5:  30-37, KJV:  30 I can of mine own self do nothing:  as I hear, I judge:  and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.  31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.  32 There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.  33 Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth.  34 But I receive not testimony from man:  but these things I say, that ye might be saved.  35 He was a burning and a shining light:  and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.  36 But I have greater witness than that of John:  for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.  37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Where Is Your Faith

Today, reply is on questions divinity might pose appearing in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum.  While the Almighty is not likely to make direct use of the Internet, social media, and other modern devices himself, many from the community of faith are willing to appear in the public forum sharing instruction, testimony and witness as anointed spokespersons commissioned by GOD.  As omniscient and sovereign, GOD does not use questions to get information that is lacking or missing.  More than inquiry, divinity relies on prophecy that serves to comfort, edify, and exhort along with praise, prayer, vision, and other forms of revelation.  Divinity acknowledges the value of questions as a finite human tool for maintaining dialog, exchange, and interaction among and between those in close and personal relationships.  The fighter using “No Eternal Reward” as his ID (Level 7 with 44,402 points, a member since July 23, 2014) posted the following in the Religion and Spirituality section:

If God logged into this site for a moment, what question do you think he would ask?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,  Gird up thy loins now like a man:  I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.  Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?  Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?  Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty.  Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath:  and behold every one that is proud, and abase him.  Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.  Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret.  Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee.  (Job 40:  6-14, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Origin And Source (04/26/2018); Who Deserves Divine Love? (06/23/2017); Books Having Sacred Knowledge? (10/25/2016); Wanting To Know When? (10/18/2015); Christ Coming Soon? “No Eternal Reward”, rather than interrogation and inquiry of created beings and living creatures to examine their makeup and substance, the primary operations and processes of divine fullness (we say, the GODhead; the Trinity; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit) have been revelation to make the Creator knowable, known, accessible, and approachable.  Even so, it strikes me that the following are some questions recorded in the Bible that Deity has posed:

(1.)  Ezekiel 18:  23, King James Version (KJV):  23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD:  and not that he should return from his ways, and live?

(2.)  Luke 10:  25-26, KJV:  25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?  26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

(3.)  Matthew 22:  41-42, KJV:  41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,  42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.

(4.)  Mark 12:  24, KJV:  24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

(5.)  John 3:  12, KJV:  12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

(6.)  Acts 19:  2-4, KJV:  2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.  3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.  4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

(7.)  Romans 6:  3-4, KJV:  3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?  4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:  that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

(8.)  1st Corinthians 3:  16, KJV:  16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

(9.)  1st Corinthians 6:  19, KJV:  19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (10.)  Luke 8:  25, KJV:  25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Abraham Have I Made You

Today, reply is on the divine use of a “chosen” people as a sacred nation to continue personal relationship by the Creator with mankind on the earth.  Abraham is called “the Friend of God,” and this strongly suggests that the relationship the two shared was the kind of close, personal bond characterized by such elements as mutual acceptance, affection, dependability, helpfulness, loyalty, respect, steadfastness, unselfishness, and trust.  However, viewed in the light of Jesus Christ, it is more correct to understand that the bond shared by GOD and Abraham was spirit substance found only within the makeup of GOD that also existed within Abram.  While we are not told that the “spirit of the Lord” came upon Abram as it did, for example, upon Samson, one of the judges of Israel, we know Abram was privileged to receive a vision that included the 400-year sufferings of his descendants among the people of Egypt.  We rarely say that Abraham was anointed or endowed with the Holy Spirit (we also say, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Prophecy, the Spirit of Truth), yet, Abraham displayed the peculiar oneness without sameness seen in the apostles and spokespersons of Jesus Christ.  The fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum using the ID “?” (Level 3 with 1,1728 points, a member since November 24, 2016) posted the following:

Did God have a chosen people before Abraham?

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Thou art the LORD the God, who didst choose Abram, and broughtest him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gavest him the name of Abraham;  And foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his seed, and hast performed thy words; for thou art righteous:  And didst see the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red sea;  And shewedst signs and wonders upon Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and on all the people of his land:  for thou knewest that they dealt proudly against them. So didst thou get thee a name, as it is this day.  (Nehemiah 9:  7-10, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  With A Divine Eye (05/02/2018); We Establish Covenant Relationship (05/01/2018); Possibilities Through “Active Presence” (04/30/2018); The Origin And Source (04/26/2018); A Descendent of David? (03/18/2018); A Circumcision of Hearts (01/22/2018); The Heir To Abraham (10/23/2016); Few Are Chosen (07/06/2015)

“?”, most Christian believers regard the beginnings of “a chosen people” to have been with the promises of GOD to Abraham.  The priesthood granted directly to Adam and continued through his line did not establish a “chosen people” per se, yet, provided record of the Patriarchs, many of whom lived and continued witness for nearly 1,000 years.  The seven tribes that occupied Canaan before the covenant of Moses was established are sometimes spoken of as having been the “original” chosen ones; however, they would be replaced by Israel.  Relying on the accounts recorded as the five Books of Moses, Christians may comprehend the development of covenant relationship as first appearing in the form of priestly service, inherited accountability and sacred duty (such as we see with Noah), and transforming to appear as personal commitment and sanctification expressed in ones own lifestyle and regular routines.  Included would be atonement, communion, faith, praise, prayer, sacrifice, unselfish service, trust, and worship.  Consider the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  James 2:  19-23, King James Version (KJV):  19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well:  the devils also believe, and tremble.  20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?  21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?  22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?  23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness:  and he was called the Friend of God.

(2.)  Genesis 18:  17-22, KJV:  17 And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;  18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?  19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.  20 And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;  21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.  22 And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom:  but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.

(3.)  Romans 4:  16-25, KJV:  16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,  17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.  18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.  19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb:  20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;  21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.  22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.  23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;  24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;  25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, it is written:  (4.)  Deuteronomy 7:  1-10, KJV:  1 When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;  2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:  3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.  4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods:  so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.  5 But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.  6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God:  the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.  7 The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:  8 But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.  9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;  10 And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them:  he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

Today, reply is shared presenting Christianity as an intimate ongoing relationship with divinity, rather than a logical construct, a philosophy, a religion, or a set of ethnic and cultural traditions.  Christian commitment and belief are expressed using covenant promises, inheritance, interpersonal and family process as well as acts of choice, volition and self-will, dominion (authority; rule; self-government), and leadership.  Adam is the first to be called a “son of GOD.”  Abraham was called “the Friend of GOD;” and the figure of Moses demonstrates and exemplifies the possibilities for communication, exchange, and interaction (we say, continuing relationship) with divinity through imparted personhood, joining through shared spirit substance, and shared eternal purpose.  The blessing of oneness without sameness that exists among the aspects of divine fullness (we say, the GODhead; the Trinity; the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit) was made actual, approachable, and knowable using flesh and blood through the Incarnation (the sacred operations whereby divinity was made visible in authentic humanity as Jesus Christ; included were birth, death, ministry, resurrection, and ascension).  Moses served as more than simply a king, or even a high priest; Moses was anointed as a prophet and spokesperson for GOD and for his covenant people, Israel.  Similarly, Christ appeared as more than another king over Israel; he came as Messiah, Redeemer, Savior, and The Anointed One.  One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Why do religious people claim that they know GOD on a personal level?

It makes no sense. Welcome to religion. Does not compute.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses.  And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door:  and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.  And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp:  but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.  And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people:  and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.  Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight:  and consider that this nation is thy people.  And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.  And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.  For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.   And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken:  for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.  And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.  And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.  And he said, Thou canst not see my face:  for there shall no man see me, and live.  (Exodus 33:  9-20, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, Billy Graham shared the truth that Christianity is not a “religion”, it is a “relationship”.  Relationships that supply the things necessary for life and survival (even among family) all require balance, acknowledging accountability, commitment, discovery, enthusiasm, gradual growth, gratitude, uninterrupted respect, and stability.  For mature Christians, the operations of GOD are acknowledged as revelation and information-sharing that establishes the personhood and active presence of divinity.  GOD must be experienced as more than an academic abstraction, a hypothetical construct, and a feature from finite human intelligence and imagination.  The Creator appears (we say, is embodied; incarnate; manifest) within divine law; sacred knowledge; sacramental practices (e.g., baptism, confession, marriage, penance); the living body of believers (we say, the church); and the imparted, indwelling Holy Spirit.  This is possible because GOD is the fullness of divine spirit (we say, breath, life essence, sovereign will, Word).  Disbelievers and sinners are challenged to repent (i.e., willingly turn away) from the operations of sin in their lives, and “get to know GOD” through rebirth, and new life.  Once a person’s inborn spirit dies, is buried, and they are “raised from the dead,” so to speak, they receive a fresh endowment of spirit (divine DNA) from the makeup of GOD that allows them to exist as offspring (sons and daughters), joint heirs, and the new creation through Jesus Christ.  Those “born again” must “grow up again,” and become mature while living on the earth.  In the same way (even with best friends) no one ever knows another person’s every private feeling or thought, yet, they have high levels of affection and trust, specific expectations, and shared goals, so it is for those who follow Jesus Christ.  A sanctifying relationship develops through activity that includes praise, prayer, separation from secular things for dedicated service, sacrifice and unselfish giving.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Galatians 2:  20, King James Version (KJV):  20 I am crucified with Christ:  nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:  and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

(2.)  Romans 8:  5-9, KJV:  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

(3.)  Romans 6:  3-7, KJV:  3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?  4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:  that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.  5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:  6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.  7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

There is far more that should be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Philippians 3:  7-14, KJV:  7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.  8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord:  for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,  9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:  10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;  11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.  12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect:  but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.  13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended:  but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,  14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

church etiquette

Today, reply is on etiquette practiced among the saints, and the aspects of divine order and sacred process that are to be displayed within the House of GOD.  Life essence (we say, breath, spirit, Word) from the fullness of divinity is to be imparted to believers in the places set apart for sacred encounters.  The deliverance of pronouncements and revelation from GOD are not to be casually interrupted.  Included are the bestowal of blessings, proclamations of judgments, instructions by parables and sermons, as well as readings of the holy writings, and the sacred law.  One of the fighters in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum using the ID “Anonymous” (no profile information shared) posted the following:

Why wouldn’t the priest answer my question?

I went to a Catholic Church for the first time. While the Priest was giving his homily I wanted to ask him a question. Being polite as I always am I raised my hand. Sheesh I had my hand raised for over 10 minutes. He saw me and besides looking angrily at me he ignored me

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools:  for they consider not that they do evil.  Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God:  for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth:  therefore let thy words be few.  (Ecclesiastes 5:  1-2, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, the church of Jesus Christ does not promote lawlessness; and its members all must recognize and respond to discipline, order, process, and structure that impart sacred knowledge and spirit substance from the makeup of divinity.  You were treated like a true member of the flock, not a wolf in sheep’s clothing.  Here are some points developing Christian believers usually find useful:

1.  The primary reality of those who regularly assemble and continue as a church body (we say, congregation) focuses on inviting and acknowledging the active presence whom we speak of as GOD to appear within a location and collection of committed persons that have been specially cleansed and set apart (we say, sanctified).

2.  Clergy serve as pastors, shepherds, and divine spokespersons appointed to oversee the sacred events and gatherings of Christian believers.  In addition to comforting, guiding, exhorting, nourishing, and protecting a congregation, they are to challenge, chasten, edify, “prod”, reassure, and reprove those who willingly become followers of Christ.  Admonition, cautions and warnings often are used openly before the full group that are gestures, and are nonverbal and silent.

3.  In addition to coming together to receive preaching, prophesying, and sermons that present covenants, doctrine, and instruction to its members, the community of faith will gather for communication, exchange, and interaction that includes baptisms (where there is death, burial, and rebirth of ones inborn spirit), funerals, weddings, and other events wherein sinners become joined or released from service to divinity that has carnal, material, and social consequences.

4.  Most of the ceremonies, ordinances, and practices seen during meetings for praise and worship have been carefully  modeled in accordance with commandments, divine law, proclamations from GOD, revelation, and sacred visions (we say, “the pattern of things in heaven”).  Christian believers are privileged to receive the same indwelling gifts and spirit content poured out for those who received the law written by the finger of GOD on tables of stone, those who heard the voice of GOD declaring the terms of covenant, those who came out of captivity to rebuild Jerusalem and heard the law proclaimed from the pulpit, and those who assembled at the last Passover where the Lord’s Supper first was introduced.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Hebrews 12:  1-10, King James Version (KJV):  1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,  2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.  3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.  4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.  5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:  6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.  7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?  8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.  9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence:  shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?  10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

(2.)  Revelation 3:  17-19, KJV:  17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:  18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.  19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten:  be zealous therefore, and repent.

(3.)  1st Corinthians 14:  26-33, KJV:  26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.  27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.  28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.  29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.  30 If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.  31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.  32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.  33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  1st Corinthians 14:  36-40, KJV:  36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?  37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.  38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.  39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.  40 Let all things be done decently and in order.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.

the_end_is_near

Today, focus is on false prophets, the need for divine end time prophecy, and the fullness of sacred revelation through Jesus Christ.  Instruction on the end times are not intended to frighten believers, threaten sinners with death, or cause panic and upheaval among the faithful.  For many, end time prophecy focuses solely on recognizing and responding to current events and conditions that may be seen within the present geopolitical system and world order (we say, signs of the Apocalypse, and that the world as we know it is ending).  Specially sensitive are time prophecies that attempt to calculate and predict a specific day, year, or hour for the return of Jesus to harvest the earth (we also say, his appearing; the Advent; the Rapture; the Second Coming).  While no angel, apostle, disciple, preacher, prophet, or other spokesperson from GOD has been entrusted with, ordained to disclose, or sent to reveal the secret information regarding the Day of the Lord, there have been men and church groups on the earth who—insisting on the authority of the Bible, and the righteousness of their own faith—foolishly have preached a time for the Last Day based on their discoveries through prayerful and scholarly study.  The fighter in the “Yahoo! Answers” forum using the ID “Grandma” (Level 1 with zero (no) points shown, a member since November 09, 2007) posted the following:

Don’t preachers who keep saying “Jesus is coming soon” realize they are damaging credibility of Christianity?

And playing into the hand of the scoffers of II Peter 3:3-4? Saying “the end is near” repeatedly is like crying wolf when there is no wolf.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!  O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.  Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.  They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith:  and the LORD hath not sent them:  and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.  Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it; albeit I have not spoken?  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord GOD.  And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies:  they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.  Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:  Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall:  there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.  (Ezekiel 13:  3-11, King James Version, KJV)

THE DOUBLE DAGGER:  The Coming(s) of Christ (03/11/2018); Recognizing True Christian Prophets (02/26/2018); Avoiding Confusion About Antichrist (11/08/2017); Sharing The Correct Message (01/30/2017); Sodom and Gomorrah Again? (05/30/2016); About The End Of The World (08/30/2015); The Imminent Return of Christ? (07/19/2015)

“Grandma”, Christians are commanded to not be “troubled” by talk that the “end is near.”  The process of GOD for salvation is not one dependent on the finite human tools of intellect, logic, carnal reason, and science.  Christian believers become joined to GOD through the consciousness and self-will that continues within Jesus Christ, and that present sacred substance in place of the approaches for compiling data, recording observations, and making various tests of the soundness of ones conclusions.  Rather than say, “the end is near,” developing believers proclaim that completion, fulfillment, transformation, and the will of GOD are near.

The Gospel (we also say, good news) proclaimed by Jesus Christ and his followers to advance the revelation of divine fullness (we say, the GODhead; the Trinity; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) includes guidance, instruction, promises, signs, and warnings that enable disciples of the Lord to avoid error, false prophets, and spiritual confusion.  In the same way divinity has appeared through the works of Creation, existence and life, the majesty, righteousness, and sovereign mercies of GOD will appear through judgment, resurrection, and the second death.

Mature Christians who center their awareness on eternal purposes and sacred knowledge will not rely as much on the frameworks of time and space that generate such finite features as destiny, doom, fate, history, politics, science, secular knowledge, and speculation.  The proclamations of GOD received as declarations of love, divine law, promise, and prophecy are as shining truth that always dispels the darkness of “the unknown.”  Sinners who become “born again” are to receive a fresh endowment of inseparable spirit content from the makeup of GOD that includes certainty, faith, holiness, longsuffering, lovingkindness, oneness without sameness, personhood, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Similarly, the operations of end time prophecy further establish sacred joining and relationship to divinity along with readiness, security, vigilance, and zeal.  Already Christians are to acknowledge they exist as the new creation through Jesus Christ.  Even so, at present, only GOD is immortal and incorruptible (not the holy angels, the sacred beasts of heaven, nor the 24 elders).  Both heaven and earth are temporal, and all the things of heaven and earth will undergo permanent change.  Consider the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Isaiah 65:  16-18, King James Version (KJV):  16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.  17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth:  and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.  18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create:  for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.

(2.)  2nd Peter 3:  9-14, KJV:  9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.  11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,  12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?  13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.  14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

(3.)  2nd Thessalonians 2:  1-4, KJV:  1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,  2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.  3 Let no man deceive you by any means:  for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;  4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (4.)  Revelation 21:  1-3, KJV:  1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:  for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.  2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.  3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
